I dreamt i invited a friend, Fran, to a house in the countryside. We slept in the night, and at the morning of the next day i offer him some breakfast although there wasn't anything to eat. First i offer him some mint tea, then some toasts. I was walking from the bedroom (actually we were sleeping on the living room) to the kitchen, and from the kitchen to the sleeping place. Then i went to the refrigerator to look for chocolate and honey. There were 3 bars of cholocate left, so i took 2, and there was the bottom of a jar of honey, and the refrigerator was empty. He wanted to put that into the toasts, lol. Then he asked me for some cream (like cheese-cream). This part is really disgusting. I go to the kitchen and fetch from some drawers two pots of cream. I give him one pot that was open but full and i check the other one. He starts putting the content into the toast, while i was looking that the pot i was holding had some hairs that came from the underarm. He was still preparing the toast, so there was no need to scream. I told him "look at this, it seems this is not cream but rather deodorant." He said something like oh, and was undisturbed with it. He finished preparing the toast and we decided to throw it in the toilet. A toilet was right there in the living room. We finished our poor breakfast and we went outside. We crossed a river, right outside the house to spend the day either walking on the road, or having fun. We were almost crossing when i told him i had to go back to grab the keys. He told me he would call his boss (he actually doesn't work) to tell him he would stay here. I ask him if he wanted me to grab his bicycle, but i didn't hear an answer. So i went back and i heard him saying that the water was cold. It was indeed cold, but i considered also that it was morning. I looked up the sky and it was cloudy, very cloudy, like if a storm were coming. I get off the water and had to walk about 40 meters to enter the house. There were some trees before the house. I look at the sky again, and i saw a grey background with a lot of ravens. I walk nevertheless and these ravens start to fly, like concentrating (and some of them charged) and then flying away. While they flew away the sky became clearer and the storm dissipated. There were like 100 ravens, and i felt tense while i was walking beside them. I didn't wanted to hurt them but i supposed they would attack me, and then i wouldn't know if i would react or not. I was more fearful of my reacting rather than whatever the ravens did to me. So some of them charged at me, like 3 or 4. I still walked but i was having doubts with regarding my intentions, if i wished goodwill even if they attacked me, or actually i was having an intention of ill-will towards the attacking raven. One of them bited me in my arm, and i didn't felt pain, but i felt/thought that something had to be done. With tranquil deteremination i grabbed him by the beak and opened it, but i wasn't feeling angry at all and that was something very good for me, rather i felt equanimity. He flew off but as soon as he was flying, and all the crows were doing the same, the sky opened up and showed that a beatiful sunshine was behind the clouds, and knowing that i waked up. As soon as i waked up (i knew i really waked up hehe) i had a clear insight for my meditation. The most difficult part of the sitting meditations i do are to keep the constancy in the time of the sitting. For example if i determine to do 1:30 minutes i tend to do 1 hour, which is the normal rythm i have [Im not pushing myself too far in the goal, because i realize it is something i can actually do, i could even do do 2 hours, and 180 minutes would be pushing too far]. I don't do it because i know it's a little bit more of effort and im lazy, but im also aware that the benefits of doing it would be awesome and great. This dream has given me the motivation to endure my meditation, work a bit more, and i know that i will get to see the results soon. What results i expect?: -That 1:30 minutes of sitting would eventually be as easy as doing one hour. -That all the pain that comes from meditation would eventually fade away (not by itself hehe but from work of the meditation which is done little by little) -That after the pain is gone i will experience some pleasant feelings, and that would be the next thing i would have to deal with. -I will gain more clarity and tranquility. That means peace of mind. Some other notes: -The house i dreamt was house of M. Olguín, of Rio Cuarto. -The countryside was that which my mother rented from May/June to August/October 2015. -I actually walked the road of that countryside to the city one day. I walked like about 4 hours and have completed only 20% of the road, so i went back before dusk. I arrived just in time, the sun was setting when i arrived. So it was also a fun day. (The next day my mothers boyfriend came in my bicycle (the one of my friend in this dream) and i went back the same day in that bicycle. He stayed for about 4 days there, but there was food to survive hehe.) -Yesterday i watched a video of Bhante Vimalaramsi about the obstacles of meditation. It was a great talk which motivated me a lot. I think what it taught me was to accept, be mindful, investigate and continue. Developing this would be something like developing strength (in the mind).

That pilgrimage again, but sometime before we reached that mountain range. We're camped out somewhere green. I'm walking through the camp with that woman leading the pilgrimage, and although it's her visions they're following, no one pays her any particular attention as we're walking around. We come to the top of a cliff with a long series of wooden stairs leading to the bottom, crossing back and forth. Far below, two of our people are fighting, sort of - a soldier and a man I recognize, it's clear she's training him. I wonder why he'd want to do that - he's really not suited to fighting. The soldier sees us watching them and they both stop. Time skip over all those stairs; we get to the bottom, and they're both sprawled out on the ground. She's asking him to list the three things he's learned. He goes um, ah, "Give me a minute. I just had it." She does give him a few moments, and then she gives him this expectant look. He seems surprised she didn't just drop it. He says, "I'm finished," and laughs. An enormous raven, three times the size of any I've seen, lands on a fence post nearby; then it's a very elegant woman leaning against that fence post instead. I'm thinking, that would have been much more convenient than walking down all those stairs.
There's a monk who needs to buy a certain rare, extremely expensive book, and he intends to raise the money by selling off a different rare book. He can't do this himself, so he sends a fox demon to take care of it. She can't read the script it's written in, but she compares the characters he wrote down for her with the characters written on the covers of his books, and she eventually finds the right one and takes it to a fair that's going on. There are many specialists here who'd give her a good price for the book, but she goes to a bookseller she recognizes, a place she's been to many times. This man doesn't know the values of things, so he gives her very little for it - it's the equivalent of buying a book for a dollar when it should be worth millions. The monk's disappointed - not in her, but because the book's gone and he'll have to start over in terms of raising the money. The fox demon gets annoyed at him for what she perceives as insulting the bookseller - she thinks the bookseller is a very good man, since he's sold her many novels for very little money. The monk is thinking about how much he looks forward to the end of his life, except that he's concerned about how she'll survive. (Woke up. Back to sleep.) I'm speaking German with a man who'd promised to (acquire or translate or something similar) a certain book, but now he's fleeing and has to go back on his part of our deal. I don't really mind. Two paired images of people on thrones. The first is a blonde woman dressed in gold robes, surrounded by abstract shapes woven out of gold wires, on a balcony overlooking beautiful green fields, rivers, wide blue sky. She's saying, amused, that although she was meant to be associated with style and worldliness, instead "I'm merely back in the desert, healing women at an oasis." The second, a sad and tired-looking long-haired old man, first in a dark wooden room full of cabinets and herbs, then overlooking a mountain. A pair of ravens leave him and fly up the mountain over a trail, croaking - grey stone, grey skies. (Woke up. Back to sleep.) Two fragments: I'm trying to convince the radio to put out an important broadcast to keep people out of the (either Dallas or Houston) area, it's an emergency, but they refuse to disrupt the normal services. A man saying to me, "You're afraid that this is the real world. It is. I trust you."
01/20/12 AFC Championship Football Game I am in my own house, and I am watching television. I am in my entertainment room where I have my television and game systems. There is a football game on, it is the AFC championship game between the Baltimore Ravens and the New England Patriots. The Ravens are ahead at the moment, with a score of 14 to 0. I hear my mom and my brother in the other room, also watching the game. I am in my room because I know John, my brother, is rooting for the other team. I don't really care, but I'd rather cheer for the Ravens in peace. I look back at the game and I see the score has changed… ridiculously changed… it is now 76 to 14 in favor of the Ravens. Wtf? The score couldn't have changed that much that fast… I wonder if John and my mother noticed that. I head to the other room and see the score is now 117 to 24 in favor of the Ravens. John is throwing stuff at the television. I say the scoreboards at the game must be broken… there's no way that could be the real score… Waves of Oblivion I am in a small town that looks like something out of an RPG such as Oblivion. Everything is in a bit of chaos, people are running for cover and hiding in the various buildings. Everyone is in a blind panic. I head towards the front gates to see what is going on. There are guards at the front, they tell me to get inside with the other civilians. I ask what is going on, the guard says there are demons pouring from the gate, now get to shelter. I decide I can help, so I head out of the gate, ignoring the guard yelling after me. The captain of the guards also tells me to go to shelter, I tell him I'm going to help. He laughs in my face and says the day a woman can hold her own in a fight is the day he retires. I ignore him and head towards the main force of demons. The gate they're pouring from is an Oblivion gate. There are so many of them. I charge right into the group, forming sword and armor from Witchblade. I cut through a couple, jump over more, and finally I get to the gate. I go through the gate and see there are more demons pouring on that side of the gate. There seem to be an infinite number of them. I see the main tower in the area, that must be where the sigil stone is. I head straight for it, taking flight to get there quicker. Forget going through the tower… I fly straight to the top and down through an opening in the ceiling. There's the sigil stone… I grab the stone, thus collapsing the Oblivion gate. I am now standing in the ruins of the Oblivion gate. There are still some demons present on this side, but the army defending the town are quickly dealing with the remaining demons. Some of the demons disappear through small portals when they see there are no more reinforcements coming for them. I see the captain of the guards not far away, and I go over to him. He says I am lucky that gate closed or I would be dead. A soldier tells him that I am actually the one who went into the gate and closed it. I ask the captain if he will be retiring now… he just looks stunned.
1. Something about taking along an old copy of Return of the King to read on the steps of some building while I'm bored. I don't actually open the book, however, and just wander around reciting the "Arise, riders of Theoden..." speech. 2. Something about petting a raven while it nuzzles me with its beak. (A better bird-encounter than some other dreams I've had - most of them end up nipping or clawing me.) 3. I go to a weird casino with some guys my age. The first game past the entrance involves peeing in a container, and if you can fill it up to a certain line, you have the option of paying for a diamond necklace. Otherwise, you can just dig through a big drawer of prizes - mostly coins, bead strings, feather fans, and pocket watches. Then there are all sorts of prize-grabber games for winning stuffed animals (odd ones at that - tribbles, insects, bats...) and various games that call for special tokens. I'm getting ready to cash out, but what I thought was a $20 bill was actually $20 in foreign currency, and I couldn't figure out the exchange rate. 4. Something about misplacing my Ghost in the Shell messenger-bag. 5. Something about puppies in an enclosure that resembles one of those restaurant play-spaces with tunnels and stuff. I also play with a large silvery-colored hamster that lives in a wire birdcage shaped like a house. 6. Something about trying to weave a basket out of pink fleece and sewing pins.
