Remembered this dream this past Friday morning. My recall sure has been wonky lately. I lost my house due to not paying the bills, along with the fact that some greedy people wanted it for themselves. Basically, I was kicked out, and my girlfriend was with me (naturally). We seemingly had no where to go, but luckily enough, her Canadian friend (a guy I know IRL) owned a ranch and allowed us to stay there with him. Now, this was all well and good. Soft beds and beautiful outdoors weren't things to complain about. But this guy, whom I'll call E (her friend and the owner of the ranch), he started trying to get her attention away from me on him. It started to become a dastardly competition between the two of us, to see who could win my girlfriend's affections. This was basically us: Eventually it got to the point where we started arguing over who was the best. My girlfriend didn't intervene on the whole thing, but instead chose the more amusing option and sat on the sidelines enjoying every bit of it. I know there was a little more before the dream ended, but it's too hazy. So, here we are.
I was in the kitchen that I know think might have been the kitchen or some room from a ranch I visited some time ago. Me and my mom were there and on the table was a huge Disc Jokey(DJ) thing. It had two giant record type things and I think some ports and stuff for iPod and discs and stuff. I remember my mom leaving and I stayed there to try and figure out the system and I remember getting annoyed that I needed two iPods when I only had one so I couldn't mix songs. Soon after that is when I woke up I think but It was annoying because it was my alarm.
In my dream last night, I found myself driving my truck across a field. A friend of mine was riding in the passenger seat and we were on his ranch. (In the waking world, he doesn't have a ranch) Anyway, I've got a couple of bales of hay in the back of the truck and we're taking it to where there is some construction going on. I come to a creek bed that has no water in it, but it's still muddy, as if it had been raining recently. I choose a place to cross and speed up so that I don't get bogged down in the mud. I make it across without getting stuck, and only then do I see another place close by where the crossing would have been easier. I ask my friend, "Is that where you usually cross?" and he replies by nodding his head up and down. We get to the construction site and start unloading the hay, which we plan on spreading out over the ground for some reason. Don't remember anything after that.
I was floating over a preschool which had various Mario video games in floating boxes. I landed on the box for Super Mario Bros (for SNES) and beat most of the game using cheats. I floated some more and came to a ranch-like place. Behind one of the buildings there were people selling jackets. I told my mom that I didn't want one, but then I saw that they had one that was the most beautiful periwinkle. The person selling the jackets explained to me that it was one of their two blue ones, called lilac. I walked around to another building, where there were a couple of my cousins and some DCs I didn't know. There was a cord you could pull that made a chess board appear on the wall, which people could then walk on to control their pieces. Every now and then, though, a shock wave would go over the board, zapping everyone who didn't jump fast enough. I went over to the open pipe we were using as a shower and wet my hair, then went back to the place near the chess board. A bunch of my friends had turned into cats made out of a bunch of little metal spheres. We went over to where our horses were. There was a really, really short horse. At first I thought it was my horse, but I remembered him being taller. I found my horse a little ways off, but when I got closer I saw that he was super thin and the wrong color. I led him over to the other horses and (literally) jumped onto his back, but he collapsed before I'd even touched him. I pulled him up and got on a second time, and he tried to bite me. Something seemed weird... I was facing backwards, but his head was in front of me. If I turned around, he would keep biting me. Then it dawned on me--the saddle was on the wrong side of his neck! The people in charge started discussing which horse they could put me on instead of LJ. "Umm... Can I get down?" I asked. They were like, "uh, if you can." So I jumped down from him, nearly getting squished twice, and got a safe distance from LJ. I wondered what had happened to him to make him so bony. He was like a skeleton. I decided not to try riding him again for awhile.
I had a dream that there were gigantic plant-beasts living in a friend's pool. For some reason, one of them decided that it wanted to eat my brother (who, for whatever reason, in this dream was also a plant). This culminated in scrambling through a maze-like complex of buildings, until the monster could be subdued by others. In the dream, I was hanging out with S and T, I was really pissed at S and refusing to talk to him, T and I were going to some sort of party at somebody's ranch... at the end of the night, we left (my mother came and picked us up) and I realized I'd forgotten to say goodbye, so we turned around.
