non-dream dream semi-lucid lucid false awakening With mom and some other family members, walking in Vila Franca. Mom notices the stationery shop run by a lady we know, is liquidating everything and going to close. My mom talks to the lady owner and starts crying while hugging her. The lady feels awkward. Says she will keep the place, she is just transforming the business and turning it into a post office. But my mom still feels emotional as she has lots of memories from this little shop. Then we all go home to my mom's, but she doesn't live there, I do. I am just moving and my family members try to help me unpacking things, but they just leave a bigger mess. Then they have to leave in a hurry, they gotta take a plane or something. I am in the kitchen sorting produce for the fridge and I hear noise. My front door ain't well shut, and some guy with furniture on the hallway tries to come in when I open the door. He thought that was his home. He is also moving next door. I explain to him he got the wrong door, he goes to the right place. But now my door doesn't close. I think I have go to the carpentry. It is not far, I just have to cross a short path through a wild patch of land and cross a bridge over a very small river, when I spot a strange animal with the body of a kiwi and the beak of a platypus. He looks intelligent but fearful when I approach. He keeps jumping around and I follow him and try to attract him. But although he is enjoying the interaction, he disappears behind some bushes. I go around and now I see another animal. Same type of black greyish fur, but a body type like an antelope and a creepy head like a skull with two black round eyes. When I look in his eyes I recognize the same animal. And I keep following him. He then returns again to a smaller blob like shape and escapes over some emergency staircase on the back of a building, to join two other similar beings, that I understand to be his parents. They look surprised at me. They move on to a populated area but other people don't seem to see them. They keep morphing and looking all sorts of alien and no one even blinks. I was not supposed to see them either, but I do, so when they stop on top of some beams in a covered pathway, I wave at them so they are sure I can see them and they look really puzzled. Meanwhile, I call my friends ghostbusters and they join me soon after. They to catch a glimpse of the creatures, so I am not the only one who can see them.
August 19, 2014 So, I didn't remember much of anything while I was on the train home from Utah... But last night, I had an interesting dream: I was with my mentor teacher for the fall, and we were getting ready to give a math assessment to the students. It was a weird class, because the students were all varying age groups; two of the 3rd graders I taught over the summer were there, and there were some Kindergarten-aged students, and one 6th grader. I had just finished giving the test to a random student (the tests were all either in a little closet thing or out on a hill in a desert-like place) and was calling one of the students from this summer, T, into the closet. I didn't have all the materials, though, and told him I'd be right back. I went out the door, to my right, and down a hall. There was a door at the end of the hall, and I opened it, going outside. To my immediate right was a chest-height table with some papers and materials on it. I grabbed the stuff from the table (for some reason there was a tree right behind the table, and the branches hung low over it, so I had to brush them away in order to get the papers) and headed back to the room. T finished his test, and I gave him the prize (they all got a present when they finished): a book. It was thick. I told him, "Now, don't you want to challenge yourself with this book?" Then I got back to the classroom, and my mentor teacher and I talked about whether the other 3rd grader from this summer, J, would hit puberty this year or not. I drew a beard on his face to see what it would look like. I woke up after this dream; it was only like 3-ish in the morning. I rolled over, and decided to try to WILD again (I've been attempting it for the past few nights). I closed my eyes, relaxed my body and my breathing, and envisioned walking along a mountain ridge... Kittens and Platypuses It wasn't long before I had started dreaming; I wasn't aware of that fact, though. I was simply walking along this beautiful mountain ridge; the Big City was to my left, and the sky was blue with a few wispy clouds. I had the impression that I was supposed to be doing something, and then I saw a man in colorful clothing; I realized it was the Face, and looked down at my hands: I was dreaming! I walked up to him, remmbering the TOTMs, and asked, "Where's Howl's castle right now?" He simply grinned, pointed ahead of him (which was to my right, over the mountains), and I grinned right back at him. I jumped off the ridge and started flying in the direction he'd pointed. I passed a few landmarks I recognized from my dream map (an aspen forest and a small hut). Then I heard the familiar sound of Howl's Castle (that clip starts with the sound) and descended to where I then spotted it. I banged on the door, and yelled, "Sophie, are you home?!" After a few seconds, the door opened, but it was Zukin inside the castle, not Sophie. Oh well, that worked just fine. I went inside and looekd around; the room was different than it is in the movie, but I spotted a fireplace to the left, and approached it. "Calcipher?" I asked, and the flame blinked at me. "Yeah, what's it to you?" "Is Sophie home?" "No, she's out learning to fish with Howl. Romantic, isn't it?" I grinned. "Oh. Well, can you tell me a word in a different language?" I asked, suddenly remembering the other task. Calcipher flickered a bit and at first didn't say anything. For a moment I thought I might be losing control, because things started to fizzle out a bit, so I touched the hearth, rubbing my hands along it. I thought about putting my hand in the fire, but I figured that would be rude to Calcipher. He finally answered: "Berzzit." "Berwhat? Can you spell that?" "B-E-R-Z-Z-I-T." "Oh. Berzzit. What does that mean?" "It means when you wake up and are so groggy that you walk into the doorframe on your way out of your room." Oddly specific, there. "Huh." I turned from Calcipher and looked around the room again. The door through which I'd come was closed again, and Zukin had disappeared. I went to the door, and opened it: Still mountains, where I'd entered. I closed it again, and looked at the dial. I knew what everything was supposed to look like because I've seen the movie so many times, and so I knew what to expect. There were five colors though, instead of four, on the dial. It was currently on green. There was also a black, blue, yellow and orange. Naturally I turned it to the orange. I put my hand on the door handle, closed my eyes, took a breath, not knowing what to expect on the other side. I hoped it was be cool... I opened the door, and opened my eyes. Boy was it cool. I stepped out into a small clearing in a forest of pines. I turned around to look at where the door was. I was expecting to see a small hut of some sort, but the door just stood on it's own. I turned back to the clearing, and noticed there were kittens and platypuses all over the place. The Face was also there; he was sitting in the grass, playing with a kitten. "Where are we?" I asked, sitting next to him. He didn't respond, only played with the kitten some more. I picked up the nearest platypus to me, and held it in my lap. I got so distracted with playing with the animals that I lost lucidity and mindlessly frolicked in the clearing with the Face. There may have been other activity beginning with an F, but I can't remember too well.
I'm in some sort of cabin. It's quite small and the bedrooms are elevated above the rest of the house in a loft-style area, reachable only by ladder. I have a little brother, who doesn't exist in real life, and my parents happen to be tree-ent creatures. The cabin we're living in is floating on clouds, with small cloud-like sheep creatures pushing clouds underneath the cabin so we can travel through the skies. One day, our tree-ent parents married, which of course everybody knows allows the sky cabin to take new heights in the sky and travel the world faster. We land briefly in this field, the cloud sheep were exhausted from chugging the cabin along and required rest. During our time down here, my little brother started attending a nearby school and everything was going great. We spent our days training the cloud sheep and even recruiting new animals, which we morphed into cloud creatures to help us once we set off again. The most notable one was a platypus, who also seemed to develop the ability to talk once he was transformed into a cloud creature. He was sarcastic and incredibly funny, yet loyal to my tree-ent parents who granted him his new cloud powers. This was until my little brother never returned home from school. I went looking for him, wondering where he had gone, and I soon discovered that he was being held hostage by one of the teachers at the school. He was not being allowed out and I couldn't get in because of the bodyguards the school had. Each day I would return to the school, looking for a new way to try and enter. Soon they started construction outside the main entrance, and I figured that this would be my chance. I manage to track down the teacher who had held my brother hostage and kill him, but my brother is nowhere to be found. I head to a nearby street, which shockingly reminds me of the street I live on in real life, and walk up to one of the houses there. It was made entirely of glass and you could see there was some sort of party happening inside, I recognised some of the people from the school and figure these would be great to question as to my brother's whereabouts. I knock on the door, but seem to be completely ignored. An old man walks up to me and informs me that I wouldn't get an answer there, as the party is invitation-only. I seem to lose hope, I head back to my cabin house and climb into the loft area where my brother's bedroom was and sit on his bed, wondering whether I would ever see him again. I apparently also have a little sister now, she climbs up into the bedroom with me as I start searching through his drawers for clues as to where he may have disappeared. In the top drawer I find a collection of stones, pebbles and shells. All of them are intricately designed, big and small. Some were hung on string which I assume my brother used as necklaces. My little sister asked if she could have one, but I refused telling her that I wanted to leave the room the same for my brother's return. The second drawer down was pretty empty, I begin wondering where my brother's dream journal was as I knew he was a lucid dreamer. I thought I may be able to find some clues in there. I look around and notice the journal on the other side of the room, but continue looking through the drawers anyway. The bottom drawer was filled with giant fruits & vegetables, mango, watermelon and squash were some that come to mind. My sister's still requesting to take stuff, and I permit her to take these, saying that they may as well be eaten before they go bad. She runs off happily biting into some watermelon. Downstairs we hear our tree parents discussing, apparently there's some issue with the cloud creatures and they won't be able to sustain flight at the high altitudes that are required when tree-ents are married. They decide to get a divorce so we can continue our journey and both of them leave. At this point there's some weird scene transitions, my little sister disappears and I never see my tree-ent parents again. I'm now with a party of people, exploring the world in our floating log cabin. I decide we can now leave the field, hoping that we find my brother on our travels. We take to the skies again with our newly trained cloud sheep and cloud platypus commanding them all. After a long period of flying we begin running out of food in the cabin, we land hoping to find work that can earn us some money so we can buy more food. Conveniently, right where we land on this street there's an old lady at the end of the dimly road, caused by the surrounding trees on either side. She calls down to us, asking if we mind helping her out. We offer to help for a week in return that she pays us. She agrees and leads us to her farm. We're told to wait momentarily while she discusses with her partner, we overhear something about not eating our new guests. I'm slightly confused but she walks back up to us and says that everything's fine, before she starts developing huge dark circles around her eyes, laughing and starts licking one of my friends. We're all really freaked out by this point, but we back away and just get started on the job as we really need money. We grab the nearby tractors and one of my friends hops on his quad-bike, which he just happens to be carrying around with him. We're harvesting her crops when this old lady starts galloping towards us on all fours. She's ranting about the use of the quad-bike and how we're not harvesting her crops to her standards. She begins leaping at us as we try to race away in our tractors. Most of us manage to escape in time but we fail to remember that one of our party was manning this small booth just outside the farm, counting up how many crops we harvested. I head back and the old lady is there along with some other woman I assume she was originally speaking to when we arrived, they're grasping in through the cabin, trying to eat bits of flesh from the guy inside. I kick them out of the way and pull the guy out, only I trip and fall in the booth instead. Before I can get up and escape, the zombie women get back up and start attacking me. I feel around inside the dark booth and find a gun on the floor, I start shooting at one of the woman while holding the other back with my foot but she just keeps on coming. I feel like hope is lost and that I'll never see my brother again, until I find another gun on the floor, a mini-gun. I unleash the round of bullets on the woman, filling her with holes, although this still doesn't seem to phase her. I'm unsure of what happened next, maybe just a drastic scene change, but next I know I'm now in my normal real-life house with my little brother. We were talking about where he had been for so long and I notice he now had short hair whereas before it was long and he was starting to grow a beard. I wonder how long he truly had been missing because last I knew he was really young, maybe around 12-13, and definitely not ready for growing a beard. As we continue talking about how much has changed since he disappeared, the dream slowly fades to black and before I know it I'm awake again. Laughing to myself at how long and real everything felt in the dream despite the absurdity of everything.
Date: August 12, 2010 Non-Lucid Duration: Short - Medium It was a snowy day, snow was falling and there were some strong winds. In this dream I was a rat. I was under a moving tractor, trapped. I was talking to a platypus which reminds me of perry the platypus (Phineas and Ferb). It was on the tractor, driving it. The tractor was moved by coal and there was another rat inside the tractor's motor that was putting the coal inside it (it was risking its life). Then it stopped a little, because the rat was tired of putting coal inside it, but he started again but now faster... Then I climbed the tractor spider-man stlye (in 3rd person). When I see around me we were in my village. Then the tractor stopped and the platypus headed to my friend's house. I followed it (I was now human). Then I see some friends of mine showing up. I asked one of them what he has been doing. He said that he came from the cinema he watched a music movie. Then I said that there were much better movies on the cinema!
