Damn, I remember much less of this dream than I thought I would in the middle of the night... It was at the end of a school term. For some reason everyone was either dressed as pirates or they actually WAS pirates, I don't remember. There was a lot of events involving me and people from the school that are very very faded now. I vaguely remember some form of staircase or something. Since it was at the end of the term everybody had done their game projects and there was something about them too. The following keywords I have forgotten about so much that I can't make out much of them: Stopped fight (I think I stopped some fight) Purple pirates (A pair of the pirates had purple shirts) Cup noodles (totally blank on this one, lol) affä (swedish word affär which means store, but it is lacking an r... I think I must have been tired xD)
This is a very interesting dream. It really has more to do with DDO, but the title will be explained later. I was with Jen and Mom. We were at a Renaissance Festival. We had ordered some meat on a steak and were getting our food. It was sort of buffet style. They handed us our items and we went to sit down. Jen said something... I don't know what, and it pissed me off. I threw my jacket with my cell phone at her and walked away. I walked downstairs where I entered a little stand. They asked how I had gotten there and I told them. The let me pass through to get out on the main street. I am walking around looking for a sword to buy. I need one to go kill something. Pretty soon I am walking upstairs again. I see a bunch of bad men trying to break down a door. I magically don a mask and leap over to where they are. I beat them all up. Soon a body guard and a woman step out of the room. He tackles me to the ground and tries to hand cuff me. I tell them that they have the wrong person. That the dead guys were trying to get in. The woman agrees with me. She tells her body guard to let me go. I stand up and see a girl in her room. 'Hmm, she's gay.' She tells me that I am a pirate, and that her name is Catherine. She had always wanted to explore some of the lower depths of the... dungeon we were in. I thought this was odd, but didn't RC. So we began exploring the depths. Soon we found ourselves needing to be separated. She went one way, and I went the other. We meet back at the middle. She was carrying a cell phone. This was odd and I turned to look at her when... my own phone received a text.
1. I'm attending some sort of video game expo, watching a high-production pitch for a game that seems sort of a cross between Metal Gear Solid and Grand Theft Auto. During the demo, one of the military showpieces breaks. The presenter gets angry and shouts, "We'll make a fucking car!" A sports car proceeds to unfold from the wreckage of that showpiece. 2. I attend a showing of the movie "Beat It," a cartoon parody of Michael Jackson's life starring Wayland Smithers of the Simpsons in the main role. 3. I am taking part in the chorus of an opera, a modern-day production about the pirates of Africa. The pirate queen is making her grand entrance, cuing a major dance scene; I screw up my footwork, and although my fellows try to accommodate me, eventually the whole number turns to shit. 4. I'm walking around in Paris, France, when I see two men leave a nondescript building. I go to check it out, and find that the building is both unlocked and the French atomic research center. I do parkour down the stairwells of the building to find a top-secret biology paper (something about genetics, and text so a failed RC) lying about. I leave without incident and take the paper back to my rural research station, showing it to my professor K. (who reacts in IRL character).
Below deck, on this particular pirate ship, there is a structure made with cooked spaghetti. We're sitting around it in a circle, making fun of Dean Winchester as he tries to add noodles to the structure, Jenga-style. He loses balance and half the structure collapses around him. The group laughs uproariously, and it's the next guy's turn. I'm standing on deck, looking out over the water. Apparently we're being sold into slavery. Those of us in this very special group are making some very necessary escape plans. "Have you ever been to [Modern Tortuga Expy]?" Asks Jack O'Neill from beside me. I'm a short-haired blonde, badass and immortal, and I've been everywhere, man. "I'm familiar with the area," I say, and pause, considering. "I hope they've forgotten about me." Now that we're on shore, we can put those plans into motion. We just need to make some tiny adjustments to fit the current situation. I'm standing next to our packed-together bunk-beds with O'Neill. All we need to do is lure one of the guards close enough... A jaffa guard approaches us, demanding to know why we're breaking curfew. I look at O'Neill, shrug. "No time like the present." We escape. Shift. I wander the same environment in my real life persona, trying to remember where I parked, and if it was in a tow-away zone. Several days have passed. Shift. I decide to go to one city or another. Calgary? I'm driving badly, wondering belatedly why I'm cutting so many people off. I end up walking into a store that I'm apparently the manager of. I watch someone in another store across the mallway play the guitar. I pull out an electric guitar from my stuff, even though I cannot play the guitar. Shift. I'm in Quickton, riding a bicycle and absently wondering why there are so many hills. I talk to a DC, a woman I apparently don't like very much, and retroactively acquire memories of whatever it is she's talking about. Shift. I'm on a farm for yet another family reunion. I'm pushing a steak around on my plate, mildly discomfited to realize that I've already been eating it. I decide to finish it anyway and ignore anything the anti-vegetarians around me decide to say. There's a woman with long, dark hair sitting beside me. She seems uncomfortable with all the religious proselytizing going on. I assure her that most of the godless heathens in the family (myself included) have already eaten. Shift. Playing with a dog. Shift. I'm to play the bad guy in some game. I adopt an atrocious English accent and hope the one English woman running around somewhere won't be too offended. Shift. I'm a female lawyer with an English accent, long dark hair, and a crisp grey pantsuit. I'm also very good at what I do. Also, evil. Shift. I'm jumping through impossible puzzles suspended over darkness. I'm communicating with someone via radio. I drop the rope. I jump down a couple levels, only to find it all tangled up. I'm presently annoyed by all that is paranormal, so I use a magic trick to cause the rope to "magically" raise itself to the next level. It involves wire. Shift. I'm standing in front of a magic shop. Shift. I'm in a mall. As Barbara Gordon, I talk to a cannibalistic hyena man. I'm replacing my right arm with something, and the hyena man tells me that they've ripped my arm off (before I jumped into the character) to make me more appetizing. I leave. A Pirate's Life. There are several old "tall ships" lined up along a huge wharf, which was the base of a Gang (they all looked like stereotypical, scruffy pirates). There were buildings in the middle that ran from the land all the way to the end - sort of like a small town built right on the sea. There was even an alleyway that runs between many of the buildings. I looked like an oriental lady with a long dark brown skirt and a wooly tan-coloured sweater. I was with three men I do not recognize from waking life, and they were unnamed in the dream but they each had a distinct appearance: the youngest man in his late teens was blond; the man slightly older than him had dark brown hair, and the oldest man had fiery red hair and a goatee to match. In the beginning of the dream, the three men and I were in the hull of one of the ships, even though we were not a part of the Gang. I think we were prisoners or something but I cannot remember now. Somehow, the four of us got to the deck of the ship and found out that the only way off the boat was jumping motorcycles off a ramp. The three men I was with had no problem with this but it took me a few times before I had the courage to take the motorbike over the ramp (even though it was not that big of a jump at all) - when I finally did it I was to short of the goal and almost fell into the water, but the blond and the red-head grabbed me and pulled me onto the wharf. We avoided running into the Gang (who were patrolling the wharf but did not see us escape the ship) by going between some buildings and into the alleyway. The three men told me to find a hiding spot and stay there while they dealt with the Gang. Before they took off, the brown haired man gave me a small knife for protection and I hid it in my sweater. I sat between some shipping crates for a while before I became bored and wandered the alleyway to pass the time. Just then a Gang member (who looked like an ordinary old fisherman) ran around a corner and grabbed me, threw me over his shoulder in a fireman's carry and started running. I pulled out the small knife that I had hidden in my sweater and stabbed him in the back. He yelped and fell forward, and I went flying into the crates that I used as a hiding spot before. I got up and went over to the Gang member, who was writhing in pain on his stomach, rolled him over with my foot and held the knife to his face and threatened him. This dream marks the first appearence of several characters who appear often together in my dreams. The chinese lady I have named Chun-li. The red haired man with goatee is Walter. The young blond man is Trevor. The brown haired man I have named Vincent but he has only appeared in this dream as of yet.

Morning of May 23, 1998. Saturday. I decided to look over some of my many smaller, older dream journals (ones where I first wrote only a brief outline to write of in more detail in other sources, such as larger notebooks) and just threw this one onto the scanner as is. The original 1998 entry is exactly as it is here from May 23rd, 1998 and I had not even looked at it in several years. See images below. The entry reads (the printed data being May 23 1998 Saturday 143 / 222 Week 21) - this was also recurring a few times: “Long, vivid dream about a pirate movie. There are many details and there is comedy in some parts, drama in others. It is about a sort of feminine male pirate and a tough, older bearded one and their misadventures in an almost science-fiction-like plot. I enjoy the movie although it seems very impersonal.” An additional scan from another part of that dream/dream set: “In one part I go down into a part of one building and am near one gateway by The Land of the Dead. One asks me what I am doing there since I am alive…” Looking at my more extensive notes, I see that I was writing a fair amount (almost essay-like) on “Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl”. There is only one little problem. The movie, as I understand it, was not even thought of until 2001…and was released on 9th of July, 2003 (USA)…but there is a bit more, as, precognition often comes in layers, linked to several things at once, even when relating to many years ahead. The most hilarious connection is the “feminine pirate” reference. Both my wife and myself (only within the last few years - as we did not see the movie until 2008) thought that Johnny Depp was far more feminine in that role as a “male pirate” than a teenage girl would have been - to a point of being near-surreal in its absurdity. Anyway, in the pirates movie, the pirates were “undead” (which I would not call zombies, by the way). In another Johnny Depp movie (we have not seen “Corpse Bride”), there is the “Land of the Dead” exactly as I wrote it in 1998 regarding the other “movie”. The “Corpse Bride” movie summary reminds me quite strongly of “Castle of Blood (1963)” / “Danza macabra” (original title), easily the most influential and most “lucid” movie of my childhood, “Gay Purr-ee” (1962) being the second-most influential. Now, pay attention, very closely: Johnny Depp says (see page) on (the Land of the Dead) “Well, Tim explained it really beautifully earlier, and so I’ll butcher it but he’ll fix it for me. It’s the idea that in life there is this kind of constant fear and obsession with death and the mystery of what death is and all of that, to the point of where people are unbelievably tense about arriving there, even though we all know we’re going to arrive there at some point. In fact, the land of the living in this thing is sort of super uptight and grey and heavy as a place and going down to the land of the dead where it could be heaven or hell or it could be purgatory, and it’s like 1920s Paris. Flappers and craziness. I thought that it was pretty amazing.“ And here from the information on imdb (on "Gay Purr-ee”): “The film supposedly takes place in the 1890s, but the montage of painters doing portraits of Mewsette includes Vincent Van Gogh and Pablo Picasso. Van Gogh died in 1890, while Picasso would not exhibit in Paris until 1900 (and would not paint in the style depicted until the 1920s).”
