    1. Avericia

      by , 12-16-2019 at 02:22 AM
It is an annoyance and a tragedy that the immediate recollections of our escapades within the kaleidoscopic realm of dreams should vacate our minds with such cruel transience upon our withdrawal therefrom. Indeed, there is nary a dreamer – even among the most deliberate and experienced – who is spared the frustration of awakening from the dream realm with only fragmentary evocations of the awesome experiences they had and the amazing things their half-conscious eyes beheld; and there are fewer still who are spared the woefully common tragedy of awakening to no such remembrances at all, vainly grasping in the darkness for memories already gone. And so, as many diligent dreamers do upon awakening, I set immediately to writing the details of my most recent venture through the dream realm, fervently recording as much as I could before the bulk those precious memories faded into the ether. However, regardless of my efforts, many of the important details surrounding this tale were still lost in memory, not least of which were the details of the inciting event from which this tale would otherwise commence.

Because of this, all I can tell is that certain financial circumstances of an unfortunate sort had brought my mother, my sister, and me within the doleful residence of what is infamously known as a “Corporate City.” I cannot, however, tell the specific details of what forced us to settle into such a municipality. If I was ever made aware of the name of this place, I cannot remember it now and so, I will give it the name, “Avericia.” A fitting designation as you will soon tell.

The city of Avericia would most certainly stand as the ultimate staple of Late Stage Capitalism for Avericia was a place ruled by men of power and relentless greed. The rulers were not politicians of any sort, but corporate elites who reside in high towers and look down upon the working masses with little empathy and cruel indifference. Surrounded by a great wall rivaling that of Jericho, Avericia was home to those unfortunate souls who were subjugated to the whims of those ruthless men by whom they were employed.

At some undetermined point in time, I was treated to a panoramic view of the place. The panorama presented to me a deceptively pleasant skyline superimposed against the iridescent pulchritude of a twilight sky peopled by majestic cumuli decorated with calming shades of pink, orange, and mauve by the setting sun. The outer portion of the radial city boasted a suburban sprawl of asphalt roofs, clean-cut lawns, and lush trees for the viewing pleasure of the residents therein. Peering further towards the city center, I could see a lively metropolis of lights, never-ending festivities, and fanfare beyond imagination. And at the center of it all was a casino of impressive proportion. The exact details of that casino’s architecture are lost to me. All I can say is that its grand aspect had me entranced in a venerable state of awe. Upon initial examination, one would be hard-pressed to find anything wrong with such a beautiful sight and it is that very essence of synthetic beauty that draws wealthy tourists to the fantastical inner parts of that city every year.

After a procession of events that managed to evade remembrance, I found myself driving through the suburbs towards our place of residence. I remember little save a stretch of road that curved slightly through a neighborhood area, and from this up-close perspective, I could see fully the state of dereliction in which this suburban area was left. Houses were run down and defaced with graffiti and lawns were flooded with the foul overflow of neglected septic tanks. I do not remember the specific condition our home was in; I only remember that the place was crowded as there were several families taking up residence there. I slept in that house, not looking forward to the next morning.

I do not remember the events the following morning. I simply recall finding myself on an employee monorail tram towards the inner city where My sister and I were to begin our first shift at the casino. The specifics of our job duties were unclear, we only knew that we were to be doing grunt work with only meager compensation. The dereliction of the outer suburbs home to the impoverished employees contrasted with the pulchritude of the inner city which was home to the wealthy tourists. I do not remember the details of this inner-city; I simply remember being taken by the site of that massive casino at the center of it all, silhouetted in part against the rising sun.

The following events can only be described with a vexing degree of vagueness for it is here that all faculties of my recollection begin to break down. The next thing I recall is standing with my sister and the other employees outside of the employee entrance. It was off to the side, hidden from the public eye, and yet it was impressive in size, up to thirty feet high, as though it were a door for giants! I remember the moments where my sister and I would lament our present situation as we were made to clean the bathrooms. Unfortunately, that is all that I remember about the job itself. Sometime later, I found my half-conscious self floating through a cylindrical chamber illuminated by the firey luminescence of an unknown light source far below which caused the walls of this infernal chamber to glow red. The walls were lined with cavities whose openings were barred, each housing a prisoner. There was little doubt in my mind that I was deep within the annals of Sheol, the abode of the damned whose point of entry was at the base of this casino. How I came to be in this place, I do not know.

I do not remember the reasoning for the internment of the poor people imprisoned within those cavities, but I do recall being tasked with their emancipation. As it turned out, the rulers of this casino, as well as the city surrounding it, were demons and if I wanted to free the poor inmates of Sheol I had to go through the casino and kill each demon, bringing an end to their reign of wickedness and greed. What followed was a series of fantastical happenings of bravery, skill, danger, espionage, and camaraderie. The only demon that I specifically remember fighting was a green naga of tremendous size. One by one the demons fell and as they did, more people began to rise up and join the fight. It was a hard battle, but it was a battle that we were winning.

I wish I could say that fought to the very end. I wish I could say that I was able to free those poor people trapped in Sheol. Alas, I awoke before I could complete my task and so, as far as I know, the captives still suffer and many of the demonic elites responsible for their imprisonment still live.

non-dream dream semi-lucid lucid false awakening

Living with my family, but feeling despaired and wanting to run away. I am preparing a bag with clothes and a few more items to run away while they are all out. Then my family returns, I hide the bag, no one suspects of my plans. But I see my mom and I start reconsidering my plans because of her. I don't want her to suffer for not knowing about my whereabouts. She is the only one I don't want to hurt.

All alone in Brussels, very early morning. People are still going around, hoping from bar to bar. I feel pretty alive and aware and I absorb all the details of the decorations, architecture, the terraces, etc. I notice that the street is warm but in between terraces it is extremely cold. That's because they use gas heating on each terrace. Then I am dragged with a crowd into a very underground place. Its entrance is literally a tunnel with no light, just some very fade lamps at the end of it, where there is a door. The people and the light and the shadows make really interesting images and I grab my phone to take photos.

Enjoying my last day abroad. Go to a fair, incredibly crowded. Then at some lateral street I see a couple of Buddhist monks and decide to follow them.
I find a long line of monks waiting to go inside some building and I go with them. Once inside they prostrate until we reach a room with an altar and some pictures and images of Buddhas and teachers. I pay my respects to. Then follows another room and another altar and more prostrations. As I also prostrate, an old lady in a thin robe appears and leans over to whisper in the ear of the woman in front of me, something about her health and some advice on how to deal with it. The woman seems caught by surprise but thankful for the advice. Then the lady turns to me, her robe opens up, she is naked and doesn't care. She tells me I have to summon and surround myself with nagas to expel the bad naga that is disturbing me. I say "what?" but she goes away without further clarification. I get up and follow her through the crowded streets until she enters her house. She doesn't pay attention to me, never says a word, but also doesn't ask me to leave. She feeds her cat and does whatever she has to do. I tell her I need to know more about her warning, and tell her that my mom had dreamed something related to it the previous night [she did, in waking life]. She doesn't reply but she points me to a bedroom where I can spend the night. I stay there. I lay on the bed and I fall asleep. Then wake up but feel drowsy. I try to move, but feel like my body weighs a ton. Then try to call for help and my voice sounds terribly deep, scary and distorted, like I have a demon controlling my body. I fight back for some time. Then eventually it goes away and I recover control. I don't see the lady anymore.

Then leave to airport. I am back to Lisbon. There are some new constructions by the river bank and I fly over to see the changes. I find a burger stall with a nice terrace, selling really pricey food. A veggie burger is 15€ and a whole meal with fancy wine and dessert is 250€. But then I look around and find a really cool vegan fast food place that has affordable delicacies and I call Riverstone to come have lunch with me there. I meet Evangelion there by chance.

    3. Banded Sea Krait Naga/Mermaid, Picard the Orchestra Teacher

      by , 07-31-2014 at 07:10 PM
So first I'm a little confused about when class ends so I leave it early, only realizing once I'm out in the halls that it's against the rules, and by then, I don't dare go back. I head toward the exit of our school, when I decide that I might like to stop by the orchestra room and pluck some songs on my viola. I sit in the back so as to not disturb the players who are coming in and setting up, and I mess around on my viola a bit. However, cellists sit on my left and on my right, and it takes Cpt. Picard (in place of my actual orchestra teacher) to tell me to move to make me realize that I've disrupted the seating - I didn't know they would be sitting this far back. (In real life, that's not where the cellos sit, anyway.) I feel pretty embarrassed as I sit in the far corner, and I want nothing more than to leave, but that would draw even more attention to me and make me even more embarrassed.

Later, I'm playing a game where my character is a banded sea krait!naga/mermaid when in the water and a person when out, though he's got legs at the end of his tail.. This means that when outside of the water, he's naked. His human friend, because of this, is naked for some reason too. I get stuck somehow, I don't remember if I just don't know where to go in the game or if I have computer problems, but I ask my dad and my friend to come over and help. However, I'm covering up the middle of the screen with the two characters with a blanket. Unfortunately, it's see-through. My Dad and friend say it's no big deal and it's just a game, and I insist that no, they don't understand, I'm not just keeping them naked for the heck of it!

Later, I am the naga, and I'm also that tall blonde-haired guy from Free!. My human friend is the black-haired guy who loves water so much. (It's been a while since I've watched this, heh.) I no longer have legs at the end of my tail, and sometimes I forget I'm a sea krait and I swim like a normal fishy mermaid. Most of this dream is avoiding dangerous humans, talking to my two friends (I later get a friend who's a girl, though I don't think she was from Free!) about the conservation of the sea and the creatures and structures that reside in it, and talking to a skiddish sea krait!naga/mermaid who is scared of pretty much everyone from years of avoiding dangerous humans.

Dream 1: I remember being with my friend who was a guy. He didn’t seem that familiar, but he was my friend. We were riding my polar bear dog (This was probably Naga from the Legend of Korra)

Somehow we were in school, but we had taken a break so I could go ride my mount. (Still unsure if it’s Naga or not) We dismounted, and I tied the huge dog near a fence near our school. Once we went inside, we were swept away by a moving bus that folded out of the school. We were on a field trip.

We arrived at a gym about a couple of seconds from our school. Everyone walked in and sat on the bleachers. I sat with my friend and another girl who I knew. I was shuffling around trying to find a seat with my friends away from everyone else.

We listened to the speaker go on about something. For all I know we just sat there for a minute or two and got up and left. We went back through the way we came, into the bus. We felt it lurch and fold out of the gym as it had folded in. I heard my guy friend say, “I like riding Naga better than being on this roller coaster.” I looked at his face. It was a slight greenish color, and he looked dizzy. “Hold on,” I said. “We’re almost there.”

The bus folded back into the school, and we got out. We walked outside and the dog was happily sitting on its haunches waiting for us.

We mounted, and walked down to the road. By this time the moon was out. The only lights out were the streetlights around the neighborhood.

I grabbed Naga’s reins and moved her along, walking down the street. No one really took notice of her. My friend said that he wanted to steer her. So we switched places. Somehow I had grabbed some rope on the back of her saddle, probably misleading rope. My friend got her to jump into the air and start flying. They flew so high, but I wasn’t on there. I was still holding onto the unraveling string below. I was floating for some reason though.

They came back down and I got on once more and took the reins. We took off on a run towards the city. We reached some buildings and some busy streets. We ran into oncoming traffic, but we just jumped over cars. Easy peasy.

Walking our way was a couple of friends from school that I knew. They were running away from something, I don’t know what.

I ignored that thought as we walking into some sort of restaurant. Naga was looking pretty tired so we just sat inside. All of a sudden, I saw Naga walking away. I followed her into a lit up alley. She layed down, but was getting smaller, and smaller, and smaller. Afterwards she retched, then lay limp on the ground as still as a puppet.

I ran up to her and felt her. She was no longer there. I cried and cried. My poor Naga. :/

      weird

I remember being in a dream somewhere when i fell through a mirror. I wound up in a kitchen with my dad and he was telling me what a lazy guy i am for not doing dishes. For some reason i fell on the floor and my face was being held against the carpet.

      B the psychic

i'm in a cave somewhere. B is a strange creature. She has bat wings and her eyes are emanating amber light.

      "Are you B?" I ask.

"I am her collective consciousness from all of her lifetimes."

"Wow," I said. "hey i wanted you to help me clarify a few things from our reading. I.."

"Silence!." She roared as some weird plasma shot out of her eyes. "My waking self has had enough on her plate for one day. leave her alone for a while." She then ignored me. Her mouth opened and little flash cards started spraying out of her mouth, they all flew around and went through a few dozen tiny portals.

"What are you doing?" I asked.

"There's too much negativity and pettiness in the world. I'm sending out seeds of positivity and love to everyone's subconscious to balance out the evil in the world. Now no more questions young man.... SHOOO!" one of the cards hits me and throws me through a portal

      Missing time

      Inception

I was sitting on the couch with Asuka watching tv. Something about dream ping pong? I saw a white flash and Q appeared.

"I told you I would be back!" he announced. He snapped his fingers and had a bouquet of flowers which he handed to asuka. She thanked him. He then pulled a tissue paper out of nowhere and began rubbing his eyes with it. "I'm sorry I Abandoned you" he said in a semi sarcastic sob. "Back then I was just a new guide and totally unprepared for the responsibility of guiding someone. But all that has changed now. I know you've recently found out some important information and will make radical changes in your life very soon. It was your guides who approached me actually, They said Me of all the guides you have am the one who you find most easiest to channel. And they begged me to return"

vvictor's head came through a portal. "We didn't beg you. we simply asked" He said and retracted his head back through the portal. Q made a half laugh and sounded like he was going to say something witty, but then he paused and said something well.

"Heh... well, The important thing now is that I'm back you help you out. Especially after hearing this news I decided I wouldn't miss out on all the fun" He then sat down on the couch and put his hand on my shoulder. "the first job i have for you is well... a matter of importance to you. You now know there is a waking life Version of Asuka, and you may meet her by next year. And really it's not fair that you know she exists and now she has no idea that you exist". i got up.

"Hey wait..." I said. "I did have a random thought before bed about using inception to do that... But I discarded it as a silly fantasy and discarded it."

"Well, it's not such a silly idea after all." he said. Asuka was staring at him. "It's rather fitting the night after you see the movie inception, that we put it's ideas to use."

"Is that really the right thing to do?" I asked. "It seems rather creepy"

Q reminded me that me and her are soulmates so anything that would speed up the process of us meeting couldn't be that bad of an idea. He then conjured an image of B the psychic and she said "you two have already met in astral, you have similar rough pasts." Q closed the image and stated that it seems even the psychic seems to agree.

"I remember the astral thing" I said. "that night I asked asuka before bed if there was a waking version of her, then i had a dream about us floating in some space and I found her and we..." I scratched my head and didn't finish the sentence.

"yes," Asuka said. "I was only allowed to let you visit her once. but I have done other things too that I know you remember."

"those dreams of pictures? viewing a school photo and you pointing tot he asian girl in the class?" Asuka nodded yes.

"Anyway" Q said. "We've not much time right now. The Inception Team is already set up and they are waiting for you to do your part in it." I agreed. Q snapped his fingers.

I then found myself in a high building, Standing near a team of a few people with guns pointed out windows. I recognized a few from the movie. Dom Cobb, and others. One Was there I recognised as Serenity? what was she doing here?

"Serenity?" I said. "Why are you here?"

She said she was Serenity's Twinner from an alternate dimension. In this dimension she works as a dream architect for this inception team. "No offense" I said to the team. "But, after watching that movie I saw how your team didn't know too much about dream control". Cobb went over to me and said that recently they've been improving their technology to implement better dream control. He then pulled out a spray bottle and sprayed my glasses. Everything went blurry for a second and then cleared.

"This substance" Cobb Explained, "Enables the team to see through walls and other objects. It allows us to detect exactly what we are up against" I Walked towards a far wall. I could indeed see through the wall and down below I saw a few dozen dream characters trying to enter the building. As I was looking cobb said "No offense, but you don't seem very impressive yourself."

I flew upwards while the team stared at me. I turned into a green Serpent with wings and a cobra head and flew through a window. I blew green fire on the army of DCs. After they were all dead I flew back into the window. Everyone was speechless and had shocked looks on their faces.

serenity rolled her eyes and handed me a paper. on it was a drawing of a maze house. "We are on the second level of the dream." She said. "your soulmate is alseep in another building on this level. She is safe and is being monitored by another of our team. I Designed the third level. All you have to do is enter the third level and find her. She is surrounded by her subconsious DCs. We turned her against these DCs on this level. Now on the third level, you have to rescue her to implant the idea that You actually exist in the waking world. She may not remember for months but the idea will be implanted for her to begin looking for you. The design is much like her inner world house. only i have re arranged it so that there are no doors. There are portals hidden in each room that should help you navigate the dream. There is a great chance you will forget all of this, so We have set up computer consoles in each room displaying this information. You must hurry and find her as quick as you can because her subconcious will fight back soon to get us out of the dream"

They layed me down on a bed and injected me with something. I fell asleep.

      Finding her

I had a FA in some room. There were no walls. I became semi lucid. There was something i must do... I neede to change rooms but I couldn't remember how. I found a computer on the edge of the bed. On the screen i was logged onto MM and looking at a new Entry to Serenity's DJ. I began reading it but it wasn't all clear. something about her having a lucid dream about being in a house and being able to teleport to each room? As I read I got pulled into the the text of the dream and found myself in a similar room.

There were men DCs around me
. They seemed to ignore me. I asked them how to get out of this room? They shrugged. I walked around the room a bit wondering what to do. I neared a small garbage can.. I suddenly became dizzy and found myself teleported to another room. It was similar but it was empty. I went back to the space i came from and teleported into the other room. Now the Dcs seemed more agitated that I was back. There was a woman in a corner, she was looking around confused and a bit scared.

"I know it!" I said. "You're keeping me from finding her." They all turned towards me to try to fight. I teleported to one and punched him a bunch of times. He fell. "too easy" I said and teleported to all the other ones killing them all. with The last guy, I turned into a werewolf and ripped his head off pretty much. The woman was looking at me stunned.

"I won't kill you." I said. I wasn't exactly sure who she was but i kissed her on instinct. She didn't push me away at all but kissed back. I then began kissing her neck but all of a sudden my vision went black. I was about to wake up. I focused on my physical sensations of kissing more. it seemed to prolong the dream for a minute but I woke up.

      Back at the second level

I was Back at the building in the second level but I wasn't lucid. The woman appeared out of nowhere. I went towards the walls. I realized I could see through them. I then Remembered something was done to my glasses that enabled me to see through walls.

"What is going on here?" The woman asked. Someone said she was in a dream and she could wake up by dying or something. The woman didn't like the sound of that so she ran for a door. I followed her, she didn't seem to mind me coming along with her. We went down a strange staircase surrounded by crystal glass windows. We went out onto the street. An army of hundreds of DCs was running for us! She looked shocked a bit. Then she morphed. She was now a red snake with wings and a cobra head. She took off into the sky. I turned into a naga and followed her through a portal.

      Re united

Me and the woman were both snakes flying through endless portals and vortices. We coiled around one another and kissed. We remembered ourselves in past lives and alternate dimensions. In one we are unicorns running along a rainbow. In others we are opposite genders, gay and lesbians... weird. We spin really fast and form a tornado around us.

We land in a familiar dreamscape in the Naga Kingdom. A snake version of Gawn is sitting on a throne. he is smiling ear to ear and hissing at us as we approach him.
