Good god, the last week has been awful for dreams. I attempted a WBTB again, which only messed up my recall and the construction became worse. It has finally stopped now, but I had loud conversations going on instead. I managed to get at least something down, but I almost didn't bother

Awake|Dreaming|Lucid

I found myself and my mother exploring Brighton, but it was much larger and the buildings were more modern. It was still somehow recognizable as Brighton though. We were looking for our hotel, but the buildings created an abstract labyrinth. My mother and I ended up in a huge football stadium among the messy cluster of buildings, and was attacked by a Rathalos from Monster Hunter. We hit behind the barricades in the seating area until it went away, then ran across the pitch to get out. Upon leaving, it was night time in the same abstract building complex, only a guy was there to show me a game. It was a physics based side scroller, but I was unsure of the goal. This guy started to become very flirty, and I assumed he has no idea I wasn't a cute girl. It felt like we were communicating online and in person at the same time. I felt uncomfortable and the dream faded

I'm finally back after a week, but it's been very hard to commit to my DJ. Hopefully I can get a full week of entries again at least

It's been almost 5 years since I updated my DJ here, but having had a recent LD during an afternoon nap for the first time in a few years, I wanted to start pursuing it again for fun

Awake|Dreaming|Lucid

I started in the street of a shopping centre, doing some kind of messy Monster Hunter fight, with creatures flying in the sky directly above. After that, I went to some kind of theme park nearby, and entered some kind of mini-game house. Inside, there was an artificial grass hill with fake trees decorating it, and seemed to resemble a shooting gallery of some sorts. Myself and a male dream character had to shoot balloons that were rolling down the hill with a water gun, which needed to be reloaded with a hose against the back wall. I asked the dream character to help me reload my gun, but decided to get up and walk into the next room. In that room, I met a girl with long black hair, possibly Asian or Latina, and felt like I was there on some romantic occasion. An old lady let us stay in this new building, and I decided to go into the bathroom to freshen up after dropping off my belongings in the bedroom (which was also the living room?). I went into the kitchen, where things got a bit spicy with the girl, until a guy came in and seemed to claim her as his own. I remember being a little angry, and I walked outside with this guy, back to the street with the Monster Hunter creatures, and he reminded me about the lore behind the first 5 creatures created, the second of which was called Hawk Tuah (???). He then continues to claim this girl, getting hands on with her and holding her hand as she looked miserable. I took my anger out on a bus stop and started doing insane Monster Hunter combos on a nearby bus stop, juggling it in the air. Suddenly, everyone's voices became distorted and robotic like Hatsune Miku, and I left to go on a rollercoaster with the girl. The ride had no safety harness, and leaped off the track into the air before barely landing on another track several feet away. After getting off the ride, I found myself back outside my house investigating a shooting threat that took place in the local forest I often dream about. The suspect was a horribly disfigured bald man, which ended up waking me up a few hours later with nothing I could recall between

Overall, this was a great effort at dream recall considering I hadn't done it for 5 years prior. I was lucky to have left out a notepad the night before to get some notes scribbled down quickly after recalling as much as I could

Recurring dream elements:
-Monster Hunter, played a lot of Wilds since it came out 2 weeks ago
-Local forest area, very common

Dream 119: Tooth-Conscious

I'm in my house, possibly a FA, and I go over to the restroom to look at myself in the mirror. I find that my two front teeth are horrendously mangled, crooked and with a wide gap in between. I begin to freak out, wondering how my teeth got this bad. Then I woke up for real.


Day 830:

Dream 120: Monster Hunting

I'm in a house, a moderately expensive one it looks like, almost certainly not my own. I'm sitting on the couch playing a Monster Hunter game with my family, which is odd, as MH doesn't support split-screen nor is it the kind of game my family would play.

My dad, who usually wouldn't play anything more complex than Mario Kart, is complaining how we've only been killing easy monsters. So, in retaliation, I select a mission involving hunting a Tetsucabra and Glavenus at once. It absolutely wipes the floor with the rest of my family, but at this point I'm too involved with my performance to really care.

As I'm soloing the Glavenus, I find something...off about it. Every now and then it will let loose a stream of blue Pikmin from its gaping maw, sapping my health away. I'm juggling between slashing it with my Great Sword and guzzling Mega Potions and getting nowhere real fast.

Then the dream ended.

Non-dream stuff - this has been the pattern for the last few days. I woke up at 8:30 but somehow fell asleep again despite not wanting to, waking up two hours later. Been having long non-lucid dreams on the first waking but usually forget too many details by the second waking.

Dream part 1:
I was playing a game like the new Monster Hunter, I even remember thinking "this game is too similar to Monster Hunter, feels a bit like a rip-off". It was day time but dim. I was playing a male hunter, walking around some marshland and there was an old ruin/structure, and there was an inscription on top. For some reason I changed character to a female hunter, and then used the grappling hook to get on top of the old structure. I was a bit clumsy about it but I stood close to the inscription and read it.

I can't remember what it said, but it was 3 sentences and was cryptic.

Details are missing here between the next part.

Dream part 2:
I remember I was hunting a large creature in the marshland with other hunters but then at some point there is a transition and I become a giant creature myself. I seem to remember the form I took was of a female reptilian biped, with creamy/dirty white scales. I then went around the world and met other creatures and either changed the type I was or simply got bigger.

Eventually I remember seeing a (in the dream context) god-like creature, which was so big it's difficult to describe with words; only the foot was under the clouds and even though I was a giant too my size was only of this creature's toes.

I climbed up the furry leg, which I seem to remember being brown or orange fur, getting past the clouds and seeing the sun; it had a skirt and I came to the conclusion it was female and kept climbing up her leg until eventually I reached her shoulder.

I can't remember what happened next other than I had a brief discussion with her; her father had made her upset for some reason.

Notes:

• This is the very rare dream type I typically enjoy quite a lot even if it's non-lucid. Unfortunately I did not think to RC at any point, despite the "massive" cues.
• The last dream I had of a similar sort was a couple of years ago, but it wasn't half as detailed nor was it of the same scale.
• I think I'm still doing poorly in regards to setting intentions about dreaming lately.
• The "goddess" creature reminds me now of a character I've seen an artist portray, so I'm thinking that's where her visual appearance stemmed from.
• From the first part to the second part, the feeling of being in a game was gradually reduced, until it felt more "real", especially with the climbing. Maybe because of the physical "effort"?

Joshdamighty's Dream

So I attempted a w.i.l.d but had a hard time getting back to sleep after waking up at 6:00am (went to bed at 12:00am).

I was telling myself when I see the colors and I know I'm going through sleep paralysis, I will immediately wake up and reality check. I guess I waited too long... I ended up dreaming of getting up thinking it didn't work and I did a reality check with my hands and they looked normal! That's odd that they were normal.

So now I'm thinking its real. I go outside and want to see if the weather is windy and cooler here in Texas cause we have been waiting forever for this. I see the wind and then see my brother standing about 100 yards away from the house and he's watching it too. Then, the sky changes to a bright white. I see snow way off in the distance. I was really confused now but then heard a loud roar. I could tell from my years of playing monster hunter that it was a BLANGONGA.


Blangonga is the big one, blangos are the small ones.

I freaked out and yelled at my brother to get inside and he just stood there (why is it my brother always gets in these situations in my dreams). It starts snowing heavy and I see Blangos and then see a big shadow in the distance. Now I don't normally lose my cool in dreams but this time I went crazy.

I ran inside to grab a sword or battleaxe and woke up.
