I can't remember the beginning or ending of this dream, but I do know that I was in a marketplace-like area inside a mall! Specifically, I was in a shop that had ceilings that were slightly lower than average for a mall store, and polished, flat gray stones for flooring. There were many people walking around, but it wasn't so crowded that I couldn't get around. The place was well-lit, with lighting that was yellow-orange, which gave it a warm, welcoming vibe. There were a few ledges to sit on, with potted plants scattered around nicely.
This is where the dream gets a bit wierd.
I was a mermaid - half fish, half person, and clocking in at about 4 feet tall. I was walking around like a normal person at this time, though, trying to escape a man who was going to kill me and sell my body to a science symposium, organization, or something I couldn't articulate. I had seen the man near the beginning of the dream. I know the man was in a black business suit, and he had a monocle on his left eye. He was wearing a short black top hat, and he was carrying a suitcase. In his other hand, he had a small knife with a blade made from wood, and decorated with a few gold accents.
I had already asked someone if they could smuggle me out of the mall without being detected, and they told me no. I then walked over to a woman with blonde-brown hair. She looked relatively average-looking, and was wearing a tan jacket and had a brown leather handbag. It was the same shape and color as a Prada Cervo Antik bag, but a bit bigger.
"Excuse me?" I asked the lady, "someone's going to kill me and I really need to hide!"
She zipped open her handbag, and I got in. I had to squeeze a bit, but I managed to curl my knees up towards my head and get most of my body inside. My head stuck out a bit, though, so the bag wouldn't close up all the way. I could see outside the bag, but at the same time I could see inside of it - it was dark and hard to breathe.
