    1. Lucidity experience during childhood

      by , 07-17-2013 at 02:13 PM
Many years ago, as a child, I remember dreaming one night, I thought to myself that what I was seeing was very strange. I don't quite recall what I was dreaming, it's just the feeling I got. I kept thinking and at some point came to the conclusion that I had to be in a dream. When I woke up I told everybody that, while dreaming, I realised it was a dream. My parents told me that was impossible.

Back then I knew nothing about lucid dreaming. It was only just recently that I started reading about it and somewhere I read kids become lucid more easily than adults. That explained a big deal.
    2. 30 day challenge

      by , 06-25-2013 at 06:23 PM (Maybe I'm Dreaming)
Shamelessly copied and pasted from LMRhone's 30 day challenge.

      Basic Requirements for the Challenge

      - No techniques for WBTB

      - Complete all exercises in EWOLD

      - Get at least 6 hours of sleep

      - Update my personal dream journal with the dreams for each day, if I forget to do this or wake up with full dreams but lose them throughout and only update a fragment, that day doesn't count.

      - I will use nothing to aid in my lucidity, just my own mind. The only "lucid aid I will use is apple juice because I drink it all the time. No difference though.

Goals for The Challenge (Not In-Dream)

      - To get lucid every night, preferably in every dream.

      - To remain aware unless absolutely necessary.

      - Find a reliable DS.

      Goals for The Challenge (In-Dream)

      - To get another lucid like the best one I ever had.

      - To overcome a deep personal fear.

      - All 5 TOTMs in one dream.

      - Get back to where I left off in the RPG prologue, stop the tornado, and sail to Cardia, while hopefully picking up other dreamers.

      - Have a fair amount of control. Not stressing about this.
    3. I did it! What?! Don't remember

      by , 04-01-2013 at 10:52 AM
Got to work on my dream recall.

I woke up in the middle of the night with the thought feeling: I did it! I was lucid!

But no matter how hard I tried I cannot remember any of it, which makes me think that I probably was not lucid because lucid dreams do not fade like that. Although how do I know that for sure? Perhaps there are tons of lucid dreams I have had, but do not remember?

What I suspect is that this was another non-lucid dream about dreaming. Perhaps I actually remember my dream quite well, perhaps I dreamed "I did it! I was lucid!" And that was the content of my dream?

Anyway for a split second there I was very happy.
    4. Lucidity around the corner?

      by , 03-23-2013 at 10:33 PM
I napped. When I woke up my thought mas that lucidity is just around the corner. Was this my waking mind's insight or the subject of my dream? I do not recall.
    5. Stretchy finger, two worlds, chase at the shopping center

      by , 11-05-2012 at 08:35 PM
After the vibrations I try to roll out but there is a powerful resistance. I try harder and I manage to leave my sleeping position. I do no RC. I go into the kitchen. I pay attention to the sensation of walking. I go into the kitchen. I put my hands in front of me. I look up and I notice my fingers had no end! My fingers became longer as I looked up. When I clench my hands into a fist my fingers return to normal. I then try to see if I could extend my fingers at will. I try to extend my fingers to reach the file cabinet at the other side of the kitchen. I try two times before the dream ends.

I do a DEILD chain. There is a subtle change in my bodies position on my bed. First, my tongue which was lying at the back of my mouth was now sticking out and my teeth were clenched on it, second, my leg was slowly falling off of the bed even though it was in a secure position. These were not physical sensations, these sensations were my dream body but at the time I thought they were real. I move my leg back onto the bed and I then rolled out a few minutes after that. My phone is ringing so I pick it up.
It is my friend. I say "Did I call you early" "yes you did". While talking I was trying to do the digital clock reality check. I notice the time was 4:72. I know I am dreaming now but I wake up.

I stay still to do DEILD again. This time I am in a void but on both of my sides there are two portals that lead to different dream scenes. To my left there is a cartoony world, to my right is a more mundane shopping center.
I roll to my right and end up at the shopping center. I get the feeling I must now run. As I do run I notice a man chasing me. He throws stuff at me. It doesn't hurt but I can still feel it. Though I am being chased I find it surprisingly fun. I then jump in between two gaining height each time. I land on the floor and look at my hands to maintain lucidity but the dream ends. I try to do DEILD again but couldn't get into the right state.
    6. LD: DV Member, TOTM (Rabbit Hole)

      Lucid Dream:

I was with a group of people. We were all talking to each other. I remember DV member CoLd BlooDed was there. At one point he asked me a question, something to the effect of "What do you like to do?"

I remember he was wearing a dark green sweatshirt with the hood pulled up. I went closer to him and pulled back the hood from his ear a little and whispered (for dramatic effect, maybe?) "I like to lucid dream."

Obviously in this dream I didn't think CB knew anything about lucid dreaming, because I then went on to explain just what lucid dreaming was. And then, to stress the point of how cool lucid dreaming was, I then flew a little in the air and asked, "Wouldn't you like to be able to do this?" I then told him that I would help teach him how to do it. I took his hand and helped him float in the air. At this point we were in the dining room of my old LA house. I helped him float to the ceiling, and then out the back door.

As crazy as it seems, I still was not lucid at this point.

CB told me that he was going to be leaving town and was going to be gone for several weeks. Then he said, "So I really need to learn how to do this so we can see each other in our dreams." This seemed to make perfect sense.

We then practiced flying up into the air. At first we moved so slowly. I was having difficulty getting up very high . So we flew around the backyard a bit.

Then the girl that lived next door while I was growing up came over. IRL she was three years younger than I was. In this dream she was about 7 years old. She starts talking to me about how this cable was broken and how upset she was about this. I was feeling frustrated because I did not want this interruption.

      This gets fuzzy here.

The next thing I remember is that we are now inside again. I tell CB, "Let's try this again." And we flew back to the dining room.

I believe it is at this point that I finally become lucid. I don't know what happened to CB because I never saw him again in this dream.

But I do suddenly remember that I really should be trying some Lucid Tasks. I remember thinking for a moment, trying to remember what they were. I then flew into the other room which was a kitchen. There is a TV set on the counter. It's on and I start watching it. Then it hits me, "This is it! I need to remember this." I sat there watching and trying to remember all the details. But all I remember at this point is that it was some kind of News Talk Show. There were three people discussing the subject, which I believe was "problems youth have in today's society". Two of them were women and one was a man. The only one I remember any detail on was one of the women who was young, beautiful and black. She had long hair that was braided into hundreds of little braids.

After watching the TV as long as I felt necessary, I flew outside. I started looking for holes on the ground. I couldn't remember at first what it was that I was looking for but I knew it had to do with holes. Then I remembered--I was supposed to go into a rabbit hole. The ground below me was covered in little holes that were big enough for little mice or gophers. I didn't think any of them would work.

Then I looked over into the neighbor's yard, and under their apricot tree was a large hole. It looked big enough for a rabbit. The hole was divided into two sections. One had a long roll of chicken wire going down into it. I didn't think that I could fit in the center of that roll. So I chose to try the other hole. It was more open. I saw that it went directly under the tree and through to the other side. I dove down inside. I could see roots from the apricot tree poking out into the hole. I had a camera with me and started taking pictures of the inside of the hole. For some reason I thought that I could document the experience better by doing that.

I went all the way through the hole and back out the other side. I then wanted to document the experience one step further. I pulled out a notebook and started sketching the tree.

At some point here I lost lucidity. I went on to two more dreams that I may write up later.
    7. The dream that caused me to look for a site like this.

      by , 09-04-2012 at 06:15 AM
I'm in a bar with two of my friends. Tim and Mike. We're playing ping pong for some reason. Drinking and ping pong are two things I do enjoy so this makes sense Tim tries to explain something to me and I try to respond to him as best I can as I'm leaving the bar but cannot find the words because I'm intoxicated. I mumble something incoherently and then realize that I have to be dreaming because Tim and Mike do not drink anymore and the only bar that ever had a ping pong table has been closed since I finished high school.

I IMMEDIATELY hear a roar of noise and what sounds like rain and realize when I wake that it's my air conditioner making the noise. I was also able to make sounds and say words while I was in a conscious awakened state whilst still being unable to open my eyes. My girlfriend confirmed this as she was lying next to me the whole time.

      Weird...
    8. The origin of the name.

      by , 08-27-2012 at 01:48 AM
And so the dream starts; I’m stood in the middle of a busy clothing shop, with no idea how I got there. I looked around, trying to see if I was with someone, but I was alone (no friends of family accompanied me here). Suddenly something strange catches my eye; in the middle of a shop selling clothing, there’s a life-sized stone statue of a lion, just placed there. It was in a sitting pose, and pointing towards a door which was open. At this point I became lucid (the method used here was the “How did I get here” method which has served me well on many occasions), because in front of the door was a small, black and white house-cat, standing on two legs. I can only compare it to the cat people in Monster Hunter Freedom really. It didn’t speak; it just stood there, stared at me, then made a beckoning gesture and walked through the door.

So I followed the cat creature and entered what looked to be an elevator shaft with a convenient series of wooden planks forming a path down; the cat was still walking down and looked up to me only to gesture again. I’m the kind of person who observes everything, so I looked at the ceiling to see if there was anything strange and noticed that where I stood (at the doors opening), I was at the top level of the building and there was so way any mechanism for an elevator could function with the way it was set up as far as I could tell. I then follow the cat.

I make it to the bottom and find myself exiting into a bustling street intersection. Before I could take in the view I spot the cat again, and, you guessed it, the cat beckons once more. I follow, and loose the cat around the first corner it turns, and instead of looking for the cat again, a garage door catches my eye. I decide to hit a switch and the door opens. I look inside and I see a formation of messy desks covered in books. Across the room, obscured by the light behind it, was a silhouette of a strange being. “This’ a nice house you have here” I say to the being, as it begins to stand. Unfortunately I was unable to discover what the being was, since I woke up as soon as it stood up. I just know it was tall, and definitely not human, although it had a vaguely human shape.

This dream is somewhat old but I decided I shouldn't spam journal entries and should focus on entering only one for now; the most interesting one I have written. When I have more dreams, lucid or not, if they're interesting I’ll write them on here for you awesome people to read. Anyway, thanks for taking the time to read this guff, people.

    9. Hectic All Around

by , 08-01-2012 at 09:02 AM (...::: The Crazy Dreams of an Australian :::...)
I had to go to a friends house called Jordan, his older brother was some bald guy cleaning out his fridge and freezer (Not his real brother) and it seemed like the whole dream he was very frustrated that he was having to do this, occasionally I'd chat to him and he was a decent enough bloke, the place he was standing was directly in the path of the toilet and he got very frustrated anytime someone had to go past him to use the toilet. His brother Jordan was having allot of problems with his bong, he said he had no cone piece and came up and asked me what to do, he suggested using cardboard or paper and i told him that was stupid because it was just going to burn, so we needed to use Foil, he got some foil out the cupboard but the piece he broke off was too narrow so i ripped off a more square shaped piece, i pushed it in about 1CM into the hose part of the bong and he poked holes in it with a pen, was a pretty decent cone piece to be quite honest, he did the weirdest things with his weed though he put all of it inside the bong instead of water, and every time he needed weed he'd get it from a different tin, i kept saying what the fuck are you thinking? He told me to shut up and smoke my cone so i did, I somehow managed to sink it.

A few other people came over and we all went into his backyard, his backyard was so hard to explain as it was like a map from halo or something, it had a huge concrete part and a ramp around it, and below it was allot of vents and industrial stuff, we all sat down and he wrote a message on his phone and showed it to me saying something along the lines of this "I have a huge thing for porn that has to do with girls crapping and guys rooting their crap" I was disgusted but i didn't want to make him feel bad, A few people we're trying to read his message and i told them to fuck off because it was private and he didn't want anyone else to know, i wrote a message on his phone back saying "Look man everyone has different Fetishes and that's what makes us human, don't worry about it" i showed it to him and he looked very relieved

All of the sudden this girl came past and took off my beanie (I wear beanies' allot lol) and she chucked it off into the industrial part, i was like "God damn it why did you have to do that?" So i somehow got down there and managed to get my beanie back.

Then my dream changed, or it continued and i have missing time, but this was when my dream started to become lucid, i was inside my old classroom, and thanks to these forums which i joined yesterday i believe that's why i became lucid, I felt myself slipping out of the dream and i was going to go with my usual approach of trying not to think about it too hard, but then i somehow remembered this website telling me to spin around in circles, so i did a 360 and the fading slightly went away, i was very surprised that it actually worked, then i remembered that this website also told me to touch things, so i touched my jeans, that helped a little bit, then i touched a random couch, Me touching that couch really really sucked me straight back into the dream (Special thanks to this website for teaching me that skill) and i now had full awareness that i was lucid and i could constantly think *I am lucid* while i was dreaming which is something I've never been able to focus on too hard otherwise i would have woken up, I'm usually lucid dreaming with the thought in the back of my head that I'm lucid but like i said, think about it too hard, i wake up.

Of course the first thing most of us do when we go Lucid is to try and fly, so i started trying to do that but it was really difficult, almost like my increased awareness of lucidity was preventing me from doing anything i wanted, I then worked out the more aware i am the weaker i am in my Lucid world, I managed to jump pretty high, and then i nearly fell flat on my face but managed to hover above the ground (Even when I've struggled with flying in a lucid dream, every time i nearly hit the ground i always manage to hover due to past fears of hitting the ground and waking up) I knew that if i hit the ground I'd wake up straight away so it was kind of a reflex to hover there, I had some trouble getting through a gate but i managed to fly above it slightly to the left and escape, there was like 5 nuns walking down a path when i got out so i randomly decided to steal her key i have no idea why LOL.

In my next dream i was no longer lucid, me and my friend Ben we're playing Xbox and i was getting a really high score in some skateboarding game where we both got like 10 second turns to get points and there was like 30 rounds, when i was on about 180'000 and he was on about 110'000 we had like 5 rounds left and he managed to pass me with a score of about 500'000.

      Then i woke up
    10. Holy Mother of Lucidity!

by , 07-04-2012 at 12:47 AM (Oneironautic Escapades)
      Thankfully!
Finally had a wonderful string of lucids last night/ this morning! SO AMAZING
it has been well over a month since any clear lucidity was had. And finally 3-4 times just in one night I was able to become lucid in dreamscape! Whew what a rush, I don't even know where to begin. Most certainly these arose from increased reality checks, my plan to teach as many people as possible to reality check while awake. Though in my dream I never did my rehearsed check. It was always realized by either lack of gravity or something being out of place that cued my awareness.
Every time I realized I was in a dream I was focused on jumping great distances, running as fast as I could and jumping miles at a time. I was so exhilarated the majority of the dreams I was just laughing hysterically. Of course I wasn't content with just the speed and agility, I am bound by no physical perimeters! I am going to fly! So I took to the sky, traveling fast and slow I traversed from city to city, eventually crossing the globe. The feeling was so exquisite! Several times during the dream I thought to myself, "This is why dreaming rocks, need more!"
Completely amazed at the ongoing experience the excitement dulled my lucidity in place of dreamplot. Several times I would "Snap back" into the reality that I was dreaming and continue exploring. I feel as though I spent a prolonged time in the dream realm, noting that I had been dreaming for a while whilst in one of the last dreams. My recall has been below par recently so the details escape me. But the experience far rejuvenates my desire to rejoin the non-physical.
Here's to many more, clearer, longer, and more insightful adventures
    11. Short LD

by , 06-11-2012 at 08:13 PM (Sea of the Unconscious)
I was standing in my bedroom. The lighting was very dim and yellow, almost like what you would see cast off a small fire. I remembered that lights and colors were subdued in my dreams, and became lucid. I don't think I did any RCs, I skipped to trying to stabilize the dream. My dream body felt like my real body, so I was initially concerned about moving or speaking with my physical body. I first rubbed my hands together, but I didn't feel or notice anything. I chanted, "Lucidity now!" a number of times, increasing the volume of my voice to try to force the dream to become more clear. I should have chanted something about vividness instead.

I think the dream was still dim and vague, I don't remember much about it anyway. I summoned a mirror to try to complete TOTM. I think I expanded the size of it. I tried pushing myself into the mirror, imagining my fiancee on the other side. I tried to imagine the mirror's cold touch as I went through it. I don't remember anything after that. Seems I didn't stabilize my dream well enough!
    12. The Importance of Keeping A Dream Journal

      by , 05-28-2012 at 01:33 AM
The Importance of Keeping A Dream Journal

It is relatively common when the subject of dreams is brought up that someone will say, "I never dream." Of course we know this isn't true. At the other extreme are individuals who claim, "I remember all of my dreams." This is also a delusion. In all instances, we simply don't remember the dreams we forget.

Keeping a dream journal takes effort. Those who truly believe that they remember all of their dreams have the perfect excuse not to do it. It is easy for them to conclude (and I have personally heard it expressed), "Since I remember my dreams when I wake up, why should I keep a dream journal? It has the same effect, doesn't it?"

Well, actually no. It does not have the same effect. Once you awaken to the realization that many, more accurately most, of your dreams are forgotten, you will either decide to keep a dream journal, or you will never improve your dream recall. Without adequate dream recall, there is very little chance that you will become a lucid dreamer. If you are unwilling to pay, you can't play. By keeping a dream journal and following a few fundamental rules, you will be granted access to a vast inner world with very few rules at all.

Keeping a dream journal sounds much simpler than it is.. The strong urge to slip back into sleep when a dream is still fresh in your mind is a formidable adversary. Equally insidious is the almost irresistible belief that you can wait until morning to record the details of a vivid dream. Not only will you forget the details of the dream, it is even more likely that you wont even remember that you had it.

In most cases, we only remember our last dream prior to awakening unless some waking event triggers the memory of an earlier one. Most of us have experienced this phenomenon. You must admit that without the coincidental event that stimulated the memory, you probably would never have recalled the dream. Consequently, the wisest course of action, when you wake up in the middle of the night with good memory of a dream, is to get it recorded while the getting is still good. Believe me, at the time, you will feel certain you will remember it. You won't.

You can easily prove this to yourself. Some night, when you awaken from a clearly remembered dream, force yourself to jot down the key points along with a few unusual details. Go back to sleep. The following morning, dwell for a little while on all you think you remember about the dream before referring to the notes you scribbled a few hours earlier. I predict that you will be surprised to discover that there were significant elements in the dream that you had forgotten.

Once you have gained respect for a dream journal's effectiveness in improving dream recall, you will be prepared to recognize a secondary benefit which is especially important for lucid dreamers. A dream journal will reveal personal "dreamsigns," a subject which is best covered in Stephen LaBerge's books. Briefly stated, these are objects, places or events which tend to occur repeatedly in your dreams. For me these include car trouble, violence, airline crashes, tornadoes, unusual attics or cellars, and provocative girls. Following Stephen LaBerge's advice, every time I experience any of these in "waking life," I immediately do a "reality check" to prove that I am indeed awake and not dreaming. By adhering to this simple discipline, you will certainly one day do a reality check when confronted by one of your dreamsigns - and lo and behold - you will discover that you are dreaming! If unfamiliar with reality testing techniques, see Stephen LaBerge's books or visit the Lucidity Institute website at Lucidity.com. (I am not affiliated or compensated.)

Keeping a dream journal has other benefits. From a philosophical perspective, wherever you choose to put your attention, there you are. Expressed as a maxim, if you pay attention to your dreams, your dreams will pay attention to you. Just the decision to remember and document your dreams will increase your dream recall and, it follows, your likelihood of having a lucid dream.

A good dream journal takes time, and for most of us, time is a precious commodity. If you are just starting and working to increase your overall dream recall, try to record each and every dream you remember. Even the ones that appear to be nonsense are initially useful. Once you have established a reliable routine and have identified your primary dreamsigns, you can back off a bit. Being experienced at lucid dreaming, I admit that I don't record every remembered dream. I quickly assess and rate my dreams. It is easy for me to distinguish between dreams that I consider significant from those that are confused, chaotic, or an apparent expression of my apparent hoard of fears and anxieties. I record and seriously reflect upon the former. I only briefly reflect upon the latter.

If you sleep with anyone you care about keeping, you will very likely need to negotiate alternative arrangements on the nights you target for dreaming. This is one sacrifice that keeping a good dream journal typically requires. I also recommend spending a minor amount of money on a voice recorder (or use that feature on your smartphone). Writing out a long dream can sometimes make it difficult to get back to sleep, and you won't have to worry about trying to translate what usually looks like hieroglyphics the following morning. I reach for my recorder, conveniently placed. I begin drowsily talking. The next day (or whenever) I play it back. Listening to it brings the whole dream back into memory as though I just woke up. I then type it with acceptable grammar and spelling, and it gives me the opportunity to add retrospect impressions and comments.

That's it. I hope this is helpful. Start a dream journal tonight. It speaks for itself in results. /Stephen Berlin
    13. Lucid Dream Compilation?

by , 05-21-2012 at 02:44 AM (The Infinite Domain)
I'm thinking about compiling all of my lucid/semi-lucid dreams and making a section in my DJ. I haven't really been trying to LD recently, and I could probably increase my numbers if I attempted WILD and WBTB techniques.

Goodnight, fellow dreamers! I'll let you know of my subconscious adventures tomorrow
    14. Attaining Lucidity, Week 01.

      by , 04-15-2012 at 07:16 PM
A couple of weeks ago, I had a very vivid dream that ended with me attaining lucidity.
I knew this because I was already familiair with the concept but I never felt the need to look into it, untill this personal experience.

So exactly one week ago, I joined the Dream Views community and started my journey into the realms of the dreamworld.

Objective week 01, enhance dream recall.

With confidence and determination I suprised even myself with recalling no less than 3 dreams every single night since the night I started.
The first nights were based on my everyday life, as if my mind was just putting my everyday experiences into place. But, slowly, my mind was getting familiar with my intentions and so the last couple of nights it threw some random mystical ones. Hoping my mind would make the connection I tried to feel as happy about it as I could so it would now my intentions.

Objective week 02, keep it up.

I plan on keeping up with my pen/paper DJ and share the more interesting dreams here also.
As soon as confidence is high enough I will do some first attempts of really attaining lucidity.

If you have any advice on how to continue please do comment on my journal or sent a message.

      Goodnight,
      Booney
    15. Laden with Lucidity [EP.2]

by , 01-17-2012 at 04:04 AM (Laden With Lucidity)

      EP. 1

      "A Raid to Remember"
As I step through the door, a white light blinds me. In the confusion I discover several things I hadn't known before. One: I was holding something metallic in both hands. Two: There were loud sounds all around me. Three: Men were shouting, both in front of and behind me. My vision clears; I'm staring down a white barrel at a blurry figure ahead. I open fire, though I don't know at what. Before I have time to think, the firefight is over, and a young soldier is forcing me onward.

The light comes to me again, though now I stand in a large room without windows. I've no way of knowing, but it feels as if I'm underground. A hand rests on my shoulder, but I'm looking away. I hear the voice of a man, and turn to face the Dark Knight himself. He continues to speak to me slowly, but I pay no mind to him. I notice I'm unarmed now, and ponder the implications of this. The Bat shakes me, yelling now, but my attention is drawn to the Flash rushing past, down a tunnel to God knows where. I feel I must follow, but my companion urges me in another direction; I grudgingly follow.

I find myself nearing the end of our journey now. I turn once more to find my companion, but his identity has changed. No other than Bruce Wayne was standing beside me. I speak for the first time, asking, "It gets old losing your stuff every time that happens, doesn't it?". Bruce nods in reply, then states, "Yeah. It doesn't help having to put on that armor over and over, either." I share his pain for a moment, then we press towards our goal. As we close in on an armored door near the end of a hallway, a loud snap comes from my back. I jerk in shock to find the source, but I'm faced with only a dark wall and two white pillows.

      EP. 2

"A Night on the Ocean Blue"
As the cold water rocks the frigate to and fro, I can feel the mist of the ocean breeze dance across my face. A deck hand shouts in alarm ,"We'll never lose him this way!", and I scan the darkened waves for the pursuer. The man who was after our very lives was once a brother among us. This much I remembered. The very why as to our current situation eluded me at the moment, though. No worries; I'd have plenty of time to ponder the implications of his betrayal after we no longer feared for our safety. My train of thought is shattered as our rear port side was rammed again by the pursuing vessel.

His ship was submerged under the wake by some strange mechanism. Being the smaller of the two craft, his was the faster as well. This was a huge advantage in the current situation, where we had no means of retaliation against him. How had I ended up in such a situation? My mind wandered to the events that began this awkward chase. While these memories were illusive, I remember a battle taking place at port. Somewhere in the chaos, our forsworn ally had turned against us. Using the fog of war to gain the upper hand in a fight that was all but won. Now we were running, and he was in pursuit. The sharp cracking of wet wood and the sudden seizure of the ship signed that he had already injured our chances of escape.

My eyes searched the horizon for some sign of safety. All I needed was one hope of reprieve. My search brought a large water spout to my attention. It would be perfect. I jut my hand forward, shouting to the man at the wheel, "There! Sail straight for the spout!" His eyes lit ablaze with fear. Surely he thought me mad. Despite his initial fears, his hands followed the command. Leading the bow directly towards what he knew would be our end, our speed picked up. As we were drawn into the twister, I begin to doubt the validity of my plan. Our pursuer had taken the bait, though, and I could see his vessel leaving the water below us. Within a matter of moments, our weight had exceeded the strength of the storm. We fell back into the water, almost on our starboard side. I give the order to ready the guns, looks of bewilderment gaze upon me. The hands follow the command, and the pursuing craft is decimated by cannon fire immediately after landing.
