    1. A visit from KristaNicole

After waking up from the last dream and failing to DEILD, I notice that it is still not time to get up.
I decide to go back to sleep in the hopes of landing back in my old dream.

      I'm walking on a beach.
Except... it is not really a beach.

I am in fact in one of the classrooms at my uni, and the ground is covered in sand,
and the walls are painted with ocean an palms.
Many led's on the ceiling make it appear as if there was a night sky.
It looks as if someone tried to reconstruct a scene that occasionally appears in my dreams:
      http://www.dreamviews.com/blogs/hyu/girl-beach-12340/

Realizing that I am dreaming, I check how stable it is.
I grab a hand full of sand and let it slowly pour down back onto the ground.
It feels very real, and even though it is dark inside, the contrast of my vision is so strong that I can see everything clearly with ease.
      Great!

My thoughts on where to go are interrupted by a female voice behind me.

      "Hi..."

I turn around and see a familiar face.

      "Krista!"

She holds out a hand to me.

      "Come with me?"

Which is similar to how I invited her a long time ago:
Taking KristaNicole to Teraluna - Dream Journals - Lucid Dreaming - Dream Views

I grab her hand and follow her out of the room.
There's a portal on one of the walls which I assume she has created.
We go trough it and are sucked through a tunnel, full of odd lighting effects.
There appear to be insect-like creatures on the outer walls, but they don't seem to take notice of us.

We come out on the other end, and fortunately for once I don't land on my face like an idiot.
I don't know what it is with portals, but I have a tendency of coming out upside down on the other end.

We are on what appears to be a set of floating islands.
It's beautiful, and there is some type of temple not far away which looks very interesting.

"I've been thinking about you yesterday, I haven't heard from you in a long time."

She doesn't look like she heard what I said.

"Aww, I wanted the portal to lead to the temple."

I pick Krista up, which clearly confuses her.

      "... What are you doing?"

I concentrate on the temple and blink both of us towards it.
      I put Krista back down.

      "What was that?"
"I call it blinking, it's a short range teleport kind of thing."
      "You call that short?"
"Yeah, I can basically blink as far as I can see."

      "How does it work?"
"Uuh, it's kinda weird. You concentrate on the spot where you want to blink to."
"Then take a single step towards the location, but at the same time land a second step in the location where you want to end up."
"That... that doesn't make any sense."
"I told you it's weird, you basically take a single step but end up taking two."

I see Krista concentrating on a location not too far away. She is trying to blink.

"Hey, be careful, it's easy to loose your orientation and end up in a..."

I hear a loud noise as Krista crashes into a thick decorative pillar.

      "... wall ..."
      "OUCH"

Small bits of the pillar are falling off as she peels herself loose.
I can't help myself and I start laughing.
Krista does not seem to be amused.

      "It's not funny!"
      "Actually it kind of is."

On a second thought, she's finding it amusing after all, but she doesn't want to show it.

"Let's go to the center of the temple."
      "Sure."

She starts walking towards what appears to be the main building.
I feel like fooling around and start hovering over the ground, and enter her field of vision, floating on my back just a few centimeters above the ground.
I wave at her as I slowly pass her.

      She starts laughing.

"What the hell are you doing? You are insane!"
      "Quite."

She grabs me and turns me upside down and sits down on my back.

      "Much better."
      "Hey!"
      "To the temple!"
      "I ain't no taxi service!"
      "To the temple!"

Fine, I fly us both to the center of the temple.
This would look absolutely ridiculous to an outsider.

We end up in a really amazing location.
There's a pool in the middle of a platform, with a few holes in the ground, creating waterfalls that go all the way down to the surface of the planet.
The water source appears to be infinite.

      "Did you make this?"
      "... Yes."
      "It's beautiful!"

I start walking on the pool.

"Hey! How do you do that?"
      "What? Walk on water?"
      "Yes!"
"What do you mean? I just do it."
"But... you're supposed to go under."
      "No I'm not."
"Tell me how it works, I want to learn how to walk on water."

"You don't need to learn how to walk on water, you need to forget how to fall through water."
"What? That doesn't make any sense."
"Sure it does, think about it."

She's saying something that I cannot quite comprehend.
I turn around to look at her, but I cannot find her anymore.

      "Hey, where did you go?"

      No answer...
I notice my vision is very blurry, the dream is falling apart.
      I wake up.

A month of near zero recall and then two cool lucids in a row.
Sometimes I wonder what goes on in my brain.
    2. Mermaids

I'm at a lake with 3 of my friends, D. S. and a girl. (I actually don't know the girl in waking life, but in the dream I thought I did)
We're just chilling, having a few beers, setting up the barbecue grill and lying in the sun.
The weather is rarely this good around here, this is nice.

We start discussing random things, until we finally reach the topic of the supernatural.
One of my friends, S. immediately insist that everything even remotely related to the supernatural is completely bogus.
      D. on the other hand says that he just believes whatever it is he actually experiences.
If he had a supernatural experience, so be it.
I agree with D. and say that it is always good to be open minded, and have to explain to S.
that there is a huge difference between being open to ideas and actually believing that something supernatural has to exist.
The girl that is with us seems to agree with me, but she's not saying anything.

We argue about this a bit until I get the inexplicable urge to claim that I have actually had supernatural experiences.
This causes some silence, until someone finally asks what happened.
I feel odd, like I'm supposed to say specific things.
The feeling becomes so strong that I just decide to say them.

"The world is actually full of the supernatural, but our limited minds have a tendency to ignore whatever we cannot comprehend."
      "This is such bullshit mate."
      "If you say so."
"Yes, I do say so, the idea that anything like that could exist is just retarded."

The girl talks for the first time:

      "Do you dream, S.?"
"What? no. Who cares about dreams anyways?"
"Then it is no wonder you do not understand."
      "What the fuck?"
      "She's right, S."
"Now you're just fucking with me..."

Sitting right in front of the lake, I start humming a melody.
This catches the girls attention and she sits down next to me.

      "What are you doing?"
"I'm calling out to the mermaids."
      "Wow... do mermaids really exist?"

      S. is just shaking his head claiming that we've gone completely nuts.
But then my humming is answered by songs from far away.
They quickly get closer, until finally, a few figures emerge from the water right in front of us:

They are definitely mermaids, and they seem to be absolutely magical creatures.
The sound of their songs is heard from everywhere at once.
One of the mermaids emerges quite far from the water, in order to come closer to me.
You can clearly see her tail, covered in beautiful fins shimmering in all kinds of colors.
Yet through the outside transparent layer, you can clearly see that she has legs and feet just like us.
      She is insanely cute.

"You're the one singing for us."
      "Yes, I am."
"I am honored. Come with us to our lands and we will sing for you."

Then it sort of strikes me. Such magical encounters don't really happen in waking life, I'm dreaming, it's obvious.
The girl with us, whom I now realize I don't actually know starts talking to another mermaid, and asks her if she can come.

"All of you may come, but there is a price to be paid."
      "A price?"
"We ask for no more than a kiss."

A kiss? what an interesting request.
The girl with us immediately kisses one of the mermaids, and she does so quite passionately.
The mermaid then embraces her and they both disappear into the water.

      "You guys coming?"
      "..."
      "Oh well, suit yourselves..."

I kiss the mermaid in front of me... it is quite salty but very enjoyable nevertheless.
She embraces me and we fall down into the water...

... I'm at the bottom of the ocean, in some sort of habitat.
It is covered by a huge air bubble, allowing myself to breathe.
There's still quite a bit of water though, it is about knee deep, so it is easier to swim from room to room than to walk.
All of the rooms are decorated by colorful corals.
There are mermaids chatting and singing everywhere, it is such a nice place.
The girl who was with me is sleeping in a huge bed with two mermaids by her side.

A mermaid approaches me and puts a necklace around my neck.
It's a silver chain with a crystal tear on it.
It's really nice, but a bit girly.
Not like I'd care about that in a dream though.
I want to tell the mermaid how much I appreciate the gift, but whilst I'm doing it I realize the inevitable:

      "... Faye?"
      "Yes Hyu?"
"... why don't you ever say something?"

She just sticks out her tongue.

"If you were more aware during your dreams you'd notice it earlier."
"How can I be more aware?"
      "Practice practice..."
"Yeah... I figured there was no easy way."
"Now, that wouldn't be any fun, would it?"
"To be honest, it probably would."

      She laughs.

"Yes you're right, it actually would."

I play with her fins. They feel so realistic.

"Hey... shouldn't we be doing something?"
      "Like what?"
"I don't know... like... like visiting Krista!"
"We could, if it'd take you less than half an hour to remember your goals."
"I really need to work on that..."
"Don't you have like... any tips for me? For remembering goals, to increase awareness, anything?"
"How about you'd start by stabilizing all of your dreams properly friend?"

Shit... I've completely forgotten to do that.
And the dream has already darkened quite a bit.
I start rubbing my hands in an attempt to stabilize it, but it doesn't seem to work.
I remain in darkness for a bit until I wake up.
    3. Experimenting with Dream Control - Creating Worlds & Meeting Olivia Wilde

A few months ago I had to design an "innovative" game as some sort of homework.
Even though I had a good idea, I couldn't figure out one of the key elements in the game.
I thought about it a lot and randomly ended up having a lucid dream where I actually was in the game I designed.

To my surprise, the problematic element in questions was already fixed in a rather brilliant way, which I thought was absolutely awesome.
Since then I've been meaning to test if I can actively use lucid dreaming to sort of overcome similar hurdles, where I'm lacking the creativity to solve a certain problem.

      I wake up.
I try not to move and close my eyes, trying to remember any dreams.
Oddly enough, my mind is blank, I feel like something is preventing me from thinking clearly.
I find this rather weird and decide to get up.
Grabbing my dream notebook I notice that the currently open page is not empty.
Did I write something down during the night? I can't remember doing so.

I have a hard time deciphering the text in my notebook, which Isn't very unusual since I often take notes with the lights off if I wake up during the middle of the night.
Suddenly the text seems clear. It says:

"Fireflies in the Sky. Wake up!"

It's written in very beautiful old fashioned style.
I can't have written this! My handwriting is horrible!
      What does this even mean?

Then I get it... I'm dreaming!
Fireflies? Huh? Oh well, the wake up note was useful.

      I rub my hands.
For once I try to remember if I set myself any goals for lucid dreams, which is something I always forget to do.
I try to think of the current task of the month, but then I remember it's already June and I haven't checked what the current Totm is.
Then I remember the dream where I solved my game design issue and that I wanted to try if I can do something like that voluntarily.

I decide that I want to create a game right now, but I want my subconscious to design it for me.
An exploration adventure type of game in a mysterious world, that's what I want to create!
Something sort of like a modern Myst game.

I summon my Phoenix wings and try to teleport, thinking of these key aspects, but it doesn't work.
I strongly feel like this type of teleportation only works if I have a specific location in mind.
Maybe I should try another form of teleportation.
I think about opening the door in my room, hoping for the finished game to be behind it, but decide against it.
I know what lies behind this door too well, I doubt it would work like that.

      I should use a portal!
Using my right index and middle finger I draw a big circle on one of the walls in my room.
Even though the borders of it clearly form and start glowing, the inside is still solid.
This is not working quite right.
Then I remember that KristaNicole uses portals in a different way.
She writes the name of the destination or the person she wants to meet on the portal before opening it.
      I decide to try that.

I make the tip of my index and middle finger glow and use them to write onto the portal:

      "Explore"
      "Adventure"
      "Mystery"

I rest my palm on the wall and try to push against it with some energy.
The text I've written glows and the wall within the boundary of the portal disappears.
I'm now standing in front of a portal with a bright blue/white glowing border with very dark purple void inbetween.
Sweet! I step through the portal.

I fall out upside down on the other side, in my usual fashion.
I'm really not very good at portals...
Noticing that I am now outdoors, I look around trying to figure out where I am:

What the heck, I know this place!
Of course! This is once of the worlds in Myst IV!
I'm amazed at first that what I tried sort of worked, but a bit disappointed that I didn't end up in a new game.

Another portal opens and Yuya jumps out.
I am actually very surprised by that. I usually go to her, not the other way around.
Plus, am I not in my own dream bubble? can she enter my dreams like that?
Then I remember that she's actually done it before.

      "Silly Hyu."
"You gave me permission to enter your dreams a long time ago."

She's probably right. Why would I not? I love having her around.

"It's amazing what the human mind can do, isn't it?"
"Yes, it absolutely is, though this isn't exactly what I've tried to accomplish."
"Are you so sure about that?"
"Well... this is a world from Myst."

"Are you suggesting that your subconscious accessed the game data to generate this world?"
"Well, no. That would be silly."
"Yes. In other words this isn't a perfect copy of the Myst world."
"How long has it been since you've played that game?"

      "Quite a few years actually."
"Yes. Do you really think this world is in any way identical to the world in Myst?"
"Well. No. Probably not. But it feels the same way."
"Exactly. But you still created this world. Your subconscious decided where the mountains go, which way the rivers flow..."

Suddenly I'm not really disappointed anymore. She's absolutely right, I created this, it totally worked.
I point my hand at a spot on the ground and try to grow a tree with my mind.
A small plant pops out of the ground and slowly grows into a fully grown tree.

      "Holy shit! This is awesome!"

      Yuya smiles.

"Directly shaping things is quite amazing, yes, but what is much more amazing is what your subconscious can generate using just 3 words."
"The conscious mind is quite limited. Sure, you can create any object and design any aspect of it."
"But your subconscious can create infinite worlds on the fly, with millions of objects, every single one designed down to the last detail."

"If I wanted to, could I change this world into another one?"
"Sure, if you let your subconscious do it for you."
      "How do I do that?"

"You either request something very specific, a place you know or have seen somewhere,"
"or you request a world that gives you a certain feeling, which is sort of what you did to create this world."

"Yes, but how do I actually change it? Do I create another portal?"
"You can use a portal, but you don't need to, you can simply use your willpower."

Holy shit! Would that really work? That would be so awesome!

      "Okay, I'll try!"

I point both of my hands at the sky, and think of the Tron movie.
I want to create a world similar to the grid!

"No. Don't try. Do or do not!"

I know that she's absolutely right, but it's easier said than done.
But I do know that when she says it's possible, it really is.
She has no reason to lie to me, I fully trust her.

I close my eyes, releasing tiny bits of energy through my hands into the sky.
I think of the atmosphere of the new Tron movie, of the lightcycles, of the Grid.
As I open my eyes again, I hear Daft Punk playing in the background, but the volume is very low.

Holy shit! I am on the Grid!
There's blue neon stripes everywhere, I can see skyscrapers in the background, some type of rocks floating in the sky.
It's just like in the movie. It's in the same style, it has the same atmosphere to it, but it's not a location that was in the movie.
I turn to Yuya in excitement.

"Did you see that??? I did that!"

      She starts laughing.

      "Yes Hyu, I know."

A lightcycle appears and stops right in front of us.
A women gets off, and as she takes her helmet off I immediately recognize her: It's Olivia Wilde / Quorra.

She starts approaching me and Yuya says jokingly:

"I think your subconscious likes Olivia Wilde."

No kidding Yuya, guess who my conscious mind likes as well...
This could turn into a rather awkward situation.
Olivia stops in front of us and says smiling:

"Yes, I think your subconscious really does."

I smile, and try to act unsurprised and not too excited that she is here...
But looking into her beautiful and bright eyes I have to think about how attractive she is and fail miserably at acting unsurprised.

Reading my thoughts, Yuya starts laughing out loud.
She finds it absolutely hilarious that such situations make me uncomfortable, and I find it quite silly that I do.

      Olivia asks me:
"Do you want to go for a ride?"

      Suddenly I get extremely excited.
Yuya says "Ha. Try to catch up!", creates her own lightcycle and drives off.
I follow Olivia to her lightcycle, getting more and more excited.
I sit behind her, and hold onto her for support.
      She smells nice...

As we drive off, my vision blacks out. Fuck! I got too excited!
I desperately try to stabilize the dream. I want to ride a lightcycle with Olivia!!
But it fails, and I wake up.

    4. Taking KristaNicole to Teraluna

I'm trying to exit my room, but for some reason, opening the door requires an abnormal amount of force.
I realize that I'm dreaming and the door suddenly gives in and acts normally.
      Ha, how weird.

For some reason I remember one of KristaNicole's recent DJ entries, where she RC'ed by counting her fingers.
I never do that, I wonder if my finger count would be correct?
I look at my hands, and although they look normal, I do count 6 fingers on my left hand.
Wait.... what am I doing? I should try to visit her!

I summon my phoenix wings and search for her aura, which surprisingly, I find immediately.
I take a step through the fabric of space and find myself in an unknown building.
At first I have a feeling that I don't belong here, but it immediately goes away.
I look around trying to find Krista.

I notice that my surroundings make little sense, something is just off.
When I look at a shelf, then away, and back to the shelf, it looks completely different.
I'm getting distracted again... I try to sense Krista's presence and approach it.
Then I finally spot her behind some sort of desk, but it changes shape whenever I don't concentrate on it.

I understand that this is the shop she has mentioned a few times in her DJ.
She's dreaming, but she most likely isn't lucid.
I approach her, wondering how I should make her become lucid.
I think about projecting the thought directly into her head, like I do with Yuya sometimes, but it feels wrong, like it would be invading her privacy.
For some reason I also feel that I can't just tell her she's dreaming, she has to figure it out on her own.

As I stand in front of her, she looks at me and clearly finds my appearance quite weird.
No wonder, I'm just wearing loose white pants and nothing else.

      "Can I help you?"
      "Hi Krista."
"... do we know each other?"
"Of course we do... even though we have never met."
      "..."
"It's weird, isn't it, you didn't even see me come in."
      "... err"

I hold out my right hand.

"How would you like to go on an adventure with me?"

Krista looks at her hands. Yes! she's doing an RC.
She looks back at me astonished, then she looks at my hand, clearly pondering whether or not she should take it.
I act all confident, like I knew exactly what I was doing just now to make her become lucid,
even though I had no idea what I was doing, I just went with what felt right.

To my surprise, Krista then walks straight through the desk between us, and grabs my hand.
I summon my wings again, and take us both to Teraluna.

For some reason we end up in a lookout spot, at the top of Haven. You can see the whole city from here.

      "Welcome to Teraluna."

Krista looks at the two suns, the planet Teraluna is orbiting, and finally at the city beneath us.
She's wearing different clothes now, more comfortable ones, though I cannot remember what she was wearing before.
For some weird reason I feel the urge count my fingers, because I feel that the count wouldn't be off now that I'm here.
5 on the left, 5 on the right, everything seems perfectly clear...
      What am I doing...?

I look at Krista, she's still staring at the city. I wonder if it looks anything the same for her as it does for me.
She looks back at me, and I notice the incredible amount of excitement in her face.
I want to calm her down, I know I lost quite a few dreams by getting overexcited, but I don't know how.

      "I..."

She vanishes in front of my eyes.
I should probably have warned her about getting too excited...

I feel happy that I remembered one of my goals, and that I was able to make Krista become lucid.
I wonder if any of this really happened, even though right now I know it did.
But I also know that I probably won't believe it anymore once I wake up.
I realize that I have asked myself this question too many times, and it is a waste of time because it cannot be answered.

I try to meditate but I wake up.
    5. In the clouds, trying to visit KristaNicole

This was quite an intense night.
I had 3 non-lucid dreams prior to this.
Unfortunately those were followed by a FA in whom I took notes in my DJ and went back to sleep.
I can't remember any specifics about them.

Then I had these 2 dreams and took notes in my DJ again.
When I woke up I checked my notes to see if this was a FA as well. The page in my DJ was blank and I was pissed.
It turns out I must have flipped the page after taking notes though, because when I got home from uni,
I was quite happy to find I actually did take the notes when I flipped one page back.

I am hovering over some clouds. Cool, I'm dreaming again!
I try to land on the cloud below me which works.
I look around trying to spot something interesting whilst yelling out to see if someone is there.
Then I spot some kind of structure to my left and approach it.
It seems like someone build a few wooden houses ontop of these clouds.
A person approaches me and says hi.
He introduces me to two of his friends, once of them is named Kiwi.

"Kiwi is a cool name, I like it!"

The other person jumps ontop of me and makes spider noises (like the ones in minecraft).

      "I'm a minecraft spider!"
      "That's... great I guess?"

I am now with Kiwi on top of his wooden house.
He points into a direction and mumbles something about a city.

      "Do you want to fight?"
      "Huh?"
"A friendly fight, just for fun."
      "Are you a dreamer?"
      ...
"What are you doing here anyways?"
      "I started out here."
      "I see."

      He looks at me.

      "Laters."

      and disappears. That was weird.
My vision fades. I decide to focus on not moving and wait it out.

I wake up but manage not to move and even keep my eyes closed.
Nice! I'm confident I'll enter another LD within a few seconds.

I'm back in the clouds, but everything from my previous dream is gone.
There are no more structures and no more people.
I hover around a bit, rubbing my hands against eachother, and suddenly I think clearly.
What the hell am I doing hovering around? I should make use of this DEILD!
I summon my wings, which I decide to call phoenix wings from now on and lock onto Yuya's aura.

I feel like she's not on Teraluna so I try to communicate with her using my thoughts.
For some reason I feel like it would be rude to just teleport to her when she isn't home.

      "Yuya? Can you hear me?"
      "Yes!"
      "Can I visit you?"
      "Of course! ... Actually... wait!"

      I guess I'll just wait.
Can I wait in a dream? just like that?
I notice an air pocket next to me that seems distorted.
It looks like half of a bubble.
      Is that a portal...?

Right as I try to investigate it, the bubble bursts and Yuya falls out of it, straight into my direction.
      I catch her mid-air.
She starts laughing. I can feel that she feels a bit stupid for falling out of a portal like that even though
she is very experienced with portals.

Her hair is brushing against my body. She's so beautiful.
She looks into my eyes... endless blue...
I suddenly realize I'm still holding her... awkward...
I gently let her go. She is amused that I feel awkward about stuff like this.

      Yuya looks around.

      "How did you get here?"
"Uuh, my last dream started here I guess. Where are we?"
"On the frontier of the Dream Plane... I've never been here."
"I met a person called Kiwi before, I think he might be a dreamer."
      "Maybe..."
      "You're forgetting something!"
      "I am?"

      Right! KristaNicole!

"She's looking for a Dream Guide. Do you think we can help her find one?"
"Hmm, I'm not sure, but it's worth a try."
      "Let's go meet her!"

I notice I still have my wings summoned.
I hold my left hand out and close my eyes.

"How do I find her aura?"
      "How have you found mine?"
      "Uuh..."
"Just think about her, how you feel when you think about her. That's what her aura will feel like."

I search through the void, or maybe the dream plane, I'm not really sure where I'm searching when I do this.
I think of KristaNicole's Forum Avatar, about the first DJ entries that pop into my head.
It takes a few seconds, I notice we're really far out.
Then suddenly I find her. I'm sure it's her.
For some reason I'm really calm. Last time I tried sharing a dream I was extremely nervous and it caused a lot of problems.

Yuya holds onto me. Off we go!
We step through the fabric of space...

(I can only barely remember the next fragment)

      ... I'm on a road I think?
... Something is happening around me.
I spot KristaNicole walking past us. Can she see me?
... I approach her to say hi.
I wonder whether I should call her Krista or Nicole...
