    1. cccix. "Watch out for the hunter", Blood wine and disagreements

      by , 07-30-2021 at 01:16 AM
      27th July 2021

      Fragment:

I'm climbing up some semi-ruined concrete structures. A kangaroo person of sorts is following after me.

Then, something about needing to go to a supermarket and something about school. I'm on a flat rooftop and I get a bag with stuff in it?

      Fragment:

Something about playing a level 83 warlock. Unknown zone, hilly and deforested, partially ravine-like with cliffs on either side and there's a river running along the centre. I meet a bear form druid that tells me to look out for a tauren hunter in the area. The druid is level 110 or something. In the dream I know max level to actually be 80 but I understand that it can go up to 110 to gain some small extra bonuses or something.

At one point I see the tauren hunter in the distance. He's across a lake area where the river ends. On selecting the hunter, the profile status bar is green, not red, implying he's not hostile. I think his pet is finishing off a mob while he loots or skins something else.

      Fragment:

Something about a flood of blood wine and a group of five or six klingons, we all need to drink so much of it in order to get away or be able to call a lift. There are disagreements on what to do and who should be doing what.

      Notes:

      - I used to be more into Star Wars than Star Trek but over the last few years I've spent some time re-watching Star Trek stuff that I had mostly forgotten about. In Star Trek, most races and characters fit certain symbolic archetypes and motifs very easily, so I think situations such as this with the klingons draw from that aspect, partly based on my conscious and non-conscious perceptions and thoughts about the lore.
-- Incidentally, I think this is the first time I've dreamt of klingons.
-- I'd like to write some thoughts on potential symbolic aspects but a bit too tired right now.

      - Unfortunately I lost visual recall of the last fragment because I left writing these for a couple of days without thinking about them again in the meantime.
    2. Maybe China isn't the best destination for travel...

      by , 02-16-2019 at 03:26 PM (Exterminate)
Was on a vacation in china. I was super aware of the surveillance state and lack of freedom. There were cameras everywhere. Like seriously, every couple feet you'd see a tiny camera watching you, tracking you, reporting your every move to God knows who. First me and my family were taking a nice drive through the countryside. We saw some beautiful houses in the mountains. Very green, just great land. We saw some really weird animals we weren't used to seeing. I think we even saw some kangaroos, which is odd since I don't think they're native there. We came across what I assume was a private community. It had nice brick roads and was walled in, with houses surrounding the inside. We saw marquee display with red words and I at first assumed it would be telling us to leave, but it just pointed out a particular person who was 11 minutes late to work. I guess he was going to be receiving some punishment and they needed the community to know...Later on we went shopping, and I was interested by the variety of items at the store. You could find things you wouldn't find normally. Not sure quite how to explain it. They only had 1 kind of mac and cheese, or 1 brand of shoes, and stuff like that, but because of the lack of choice they were able to provide a much more dense selection of items to purchase. I noted how everyone kept to themselves and didn't talk. It was as if they were afraid to say something they should not. It reminded me of 1984, how even their thoughts were closely monitored. I had no issue recognizing other tourists, as they were all much more outgoing and willing to communicate. They didn't have the fear that the normal citizens had.

At some point during conversation with the tourists we found ourselves in a restaurant. It was a buffet of some sort. I don't remember much here, but eventually the staff all quickly cleaned up, turned the lights down, and left. We took that as a sign to leave, but we weren't exactly in a rush. My brother and I had already made it to the car, but my parents were inside walking out talking to people. I guess it took too long, because something really bad happened. The tires on our car suddenly inflated, and the car quickly reversed a few feet. I looked over at a camera facing directly at us, and felt a sense of dread and helplessness. We went after the car, but it took off toward a mountain, drove off the parking lot and exploded into the hillside. I loudly shouted at the camera asking WTF, but quickly realized that it was not smart to question the government. I then heard over loudspeaker that I was to remain still while the authorities arrive. I start to run but then a turret started firing at me from under the camera. I dodged the bullets miraculously and hid behind a planter. Within seconds the planter was destroyed by the bullets and a man spoke over the speaker and told me they have plenty of bullets and I have nowhere to hide. The dream ended.
    3. #264 - Mutated animals

      by , 08-23-2016 at 08:14 AM (The Oneironaut's Odyssey)
      Dream
I'm watching TV and it's a news channel reporting on a man who does tourist boat rides down a New Zealand river. He seems to be a bit 'out-of-control' because the boat is skimming against the rocky cliff on one side. He then rams the boat into a rockface, though I'd have expected more of an impact so I thought he put the brakes on or something..

Next thing I know, I'm at the location and the story has progressed. He is wading the water, I'm with a news team and we're watching him as he struggles to dislodge his foot which is stuck. He gets free and continues walking off towards and orange life jacket that's wedged between a crack in the rockwall. Apparently that's why he was driving crazily as he was searching for it. Pretty dumb reason.
I'm kind of the camera in a sense, so what I'm seeing is being conveyed back to the TV. I look down and see HUGE eel heads, there's heaps of them poking their heads out of the rocks in the water. It's incredible because it's a species that is endangered (shortfin silver eel or something)... I hop out of the water immediately, kind of shocked and grateful they didn't bite me. I hear some kind of news person talking into a camera about how we're at the site for the siting of the worlds first fresh water kangaroo. Yes.. FRESH WATER KANGEROO. What the hell? I turn to see a funny looking kangaroo doing a severely retarded paddle-jump through the water. Huh, guess it must be true. I then spot a few more kangaroos, but they all look like different species. Why are there so many different mutations in kangaroos occurring? But then my brain completely tricked me because the next time I look around there's a bunch of mutated seals. I didn't even notice the swap. There's a 4 eyed alien looking seal staring at me.. There's one that looks like it has the face of an asian. Then there's also one that looked almost exactly like a dog which barked at me, I ran away and it chased me. I then decided maybe it wanted me to pet it so I reached out, but someone nearby who had a real dog said that it was a seal and that I shouldn't pet it. I reeled my hands back as she said this, I see my hands in front of my face. Hmmm..
I'm dreaming aren't I? I do a reality check by pushing my finger through the palm of my right hand, it stretches through.

I'm in my room now, definitely dreaming. But this isn't my current room, it's my room from when I was a little kid with a few differences (colour of the room, bed positioning, bedside table and general room content). The dream starts to go dark, fuck. I better stabilize. I make huge force of willpower by straining my brain to hold the dream stable. It's like I was trying to forcibly shut off whatever mechanism causes you to wake up and it only managed to slow down the darkening. As I'm doing this I know it won't work for long and that I needed another course of action to follow it up with, something to restabilize the dream as it wasn't enough to just stay asleep. I decide to 'relax' and release the tension, the world must have been shaking before because everything seemed still all of a sudden. The room got a little bit lighter and less grainy. I look at the bedside table and see a mirror, except inside the mirror is a brighter room. I walk over, pick it up, and then push myself through head first. Half of me from the waist up is in this newer, brighter version of my room, the mirror is caught on my jeans. Damn it. I kind of convince the dream that this didn't happen and climbed into the room properly. Phew. My clothes are inside out though, and the room has a sort of inverted appearance, but the exit and windows are all in their normal places. I should probably do something... I decide to do the waterball challenge me and my dream buddy Emnition are trying. Man this is a long lucid. It feels like a very down-to-earth lucid, as if bending physics would be quite hard unless I did some tricky stuff. I try anyways, I cup my hands in the air as if to summon the water into a ball. I'm facing the open doorway at this point and the background kind of throws me off.. I turn around and re-attempt, facing a lighter and less cluttered background of my rooms wall. Then I say "Now I just need to condense the vapour from the surrounding air", I imagine how this would look in my mind... Particles flying towards a centre point between the space of my cupped hands.
Oh look, I'm awake. I woke up very fast :/

    4. Nail Polish and Kangaroos

      by , 10-21-2013 at 03:11 PM
Had much shorter dreams than the night before but oh well.

Dream 1: I saw my sister with nail polish on and I asked her who she did it with she said Molly M. (not gonna give the full name on here) I went downstairs and started watching a movie with two friends, one of them was a fwb I had about a year ago, the other was just some random guy I barely know. As we were watching the movie she kept like slightly moving her legs and gesturing over towards my room like she wanted to f***, but didn't want the other guy to notice. So I got up and started walking to my room and she followed. I walked in my bathroom on the way and my shower and toilet were like full of nail polish shit. She was like oh me and Molly were doing nail polish. I asked her Molly H? she said no Molly M. (except in real life it was their full last names) So I tried to avoid the nail polish stuff while peeing in the toilet but i just covered everything with piss lol. I think the dream ended there

Dream 2: I was in a long car drive with my Dad and my Grandpa. There were a bunch of TV's in the car and I was flipping through channels, there was this one Resident Evil movie that only appears in my dreams. Me and my grandpa tried to find something interesting but there was nothing. Then my dad asks if we can just listen to the game on the radio. I ask him if its just on tv so we can hear it and see it and says no cause they only hold the rights to play it on the radio or something. Next thing I know we are stopping and getting out of the car. Theres this parking lot and kangaroos are walking around. Everyone lets them walk by and even walk up close to them but I stay away because I know they can punch the crap out of somebody. Pretty soon everyones trying to hide behind each other and the kangaroos are kind of walking towards us as we back up and we all just get in the cars and leave. It starts raining and I noticed my sister hasn't gotten in the car yet. So me and my brother are in one car and I drive out a bit before I realize everyone left her there. So I'm driving around there in the rain looking for her when the dream ends.
    5. The Kangarant

      by , 01-13-2013 at 04:29 AM
I'm glad to be in a patch of more peaceful, relaxed lucids that are geared toward exploration. These are usually among my favorites and tend to provide more opportunity for completing tasks. (Not that I was successful completing anything in this dream, of course, but theoretically...)

      Color legend: Non-dream Dream Lucid

      Lucid #56: The Kangarant

I'm in a small prop plane flying over a high, snowy mountain range. There are two other guys in the plane with me, both in their 20s. There are no seats -- everyone is standing. Nobody appears to be piloting the aircraft.

The plane barrels toward a mountain peak, and I shout, "Agggh, watch out!!" But the plane clears the peak (though just barely) and the two guys high five. They look at me like they don't get why I'm being such a baby.

"Where are we?" I ask. One of the guys ponders this for a moment and says, "California."
California? "No way," I think, and become lucid.

The plane goes into a hard, sickening turn to the right and starts losing altitude. My two companions think this is great, but I want off. I phase my left hand through one of the plane's windows. After a brief pause, the rest of my body follows and I'm flying outside in the clouds, the plane buzzing off into the distance.

I'm descending pretty rapidly but I feel like I'm in control. Unexpectedly, I pass by a gray-haired man who's dressed in an Army Service Uniform. He looks extremely high-ranking, almost certainly a general. He's staying still while I'm moving so I whoosh right by him. He's muttering something as I fly by, but I can't make it out.

My descent slows and I land in an airfield. Some planes are taxiing on runways while others are refueling. There's even a rocket set up nearby! It looks vaguely like a Saturn V but it's way too small.

Stranger still are the animals roaming everywhere across this airfield. Each has at least one human handler. I spot camels for sure, and several other types that I can't remember. But the animal that really grabs my attention is something that I can only describe as the cross between a kangaroo and an elephant. (Kangarant? Eleroo?)

This animal is about 30-feet tall, gray-skinned like an elephant, but with the powerful hind legs and dainty forelimbs of a kangaroo. It has a marsupial pouch but its head has tusks and a modest trunk. The head is elephant-like, but sleeker and longer than an elephant's. I watch this beast in fascination for a while. A handler on a raised platform is passing it some kind of hay to eat. The kangarant munches away, passive and content.

I start thinking about tasks and I fly past the airfield to see what's out there. I come to a beach where several vendors have stalls set up. I decide that this is Australia and that I should do the Australia Task of the Year. I remember something about Mel Gibson.
Actual task: ("Hitch a ride on a sea turtle, dolphin, or humpback whale and explore the Great Barrier Reef. Bite a great white shark and don't die. ") I decide that since I don't know what I'm doing I had better try something else. I decide to figure out some kind of way to travel to the Colosseum and have my gladiator battle.

I convince myself that a time machine will appear behind me. I turn around, shouting, "Time machine!" This fails to do anything but make me feel stupid.

A girl who looks like she's about nine walks up to me. I think she's perhaps Philippina. I ask, "Can you show me the way to the time machine?"

She nods, looking a little cross with me. "But I'm not a girl! I'm a boy!" She glares at me, waiting for me to make this right. I don't really know how to respond, since she can apparently read my mind (and I still think she's a girl.)

"Sorry...?" I offer, and this seems to satisfy her. She starts running inland across a nearby road and I follow. We've only gone a short distance when
      I wake up.
    6. Shambala jungle

      by , 07-29-2012 at 04:50 PM
I wake up in this jungle area, I am underneath some sort of ruins of a dome supported by pillars. I hear something in the distance, I stand up it is dark out I see what I think to be a large kangaroo jumping away from me. Then something comes towards me after a bit, it turns out to be two very large horses. one bigger than the other, they are much closer to me now I feel slightly afraid because of the force I sense behind them.
I try to keep a stone pillar between me and them as they start circling the dome.. my fear dissipates though as I can sense they have good intention. they are beautiful and mystical in there own way.

It skips to a different part of the jungle, there are many people scurrying about. it reminds me of a rainbow gathering but with huts, I come upon this place called the shambala temple. I go across the way to a small hut where there is this chubby grey shaman alien looking man. I talk to him for awhile, only remember the part where he says I shouldn't get married. then I ask why, he says idk maybe you should get married. I will marry you two tomorrow! then I leave to go find my mate and tell him. apparently he's been arrested for trespassing with others. I see a goofy picture of him. there is some piece of paper that says he will be there for 20 days.

if anyone has opinions or interpretation they would be appreciated.
    7. Kangaroo Dream

      by , 07-05-2012 at 08:33 AM
I was having trouble waking up for school today (no surprise there), and had a strange dream. A kangaroo was in a boxing ring with a cheering crowd, and he jumps right into the air, and kicks his opponent, some Chinese man. Bang, bang, bang, bang with both of his feet, and the guy is knocked onto the floor. Everyone cheers louder, and an announcer starts yelling things in gibberish. Then, the kangaroo pulls out a flame thrower and points it at the Chinese guy, who is begging for mercy, as the kangaroo burns him to death. Then, my mother shouts me and I'm awake.
    8. The Camping Ground - 34th Lucid

      by , 09-13-2011 at 12:01 PM (Dark_Merlin's Dream Journal)
The dream begins in the bush with dad. We just got out of a car at the edge of a new camping ground. It is small, rounded and at the edge of the ground the tree line begins, and continues on into the forest. There is a very large kangaroo a few meters away from us, looking over occasionally. It is after mid-day and the sun is shining through the trees, creating a beautiful dappled afternoon and a joyous feeling as we arrive.

Dad starts commenting about the camping ground. "Gee, this is pretty ugly. I thought it'd be bigger." I have memories of this place, perhaps from a previous dream or the terrain was created from a memory of bush land. I think it's absolutely beautiful, but I just talk along with Dad anyway. "It's a bit small I guess", for most of this time my eyes have been glued to the kangaroo, who is still standing around and un-afraid of our presence. To the left, there are two people sitting around some sort of camp-fire, I catch them in my peripheral vision as they stand and say "It's nice once you get used to it". Dad makes a comment about how he could take out the roo with a shotgun, and is now standing at a table where the car was parked, looking at a long box which contained a shotgun.

Memory jumps a little here, but I assume the two people start taking us in to a large wooden cabin. We walk through a door on the left side of the building, the inside is a large hall space. A boy from school I don't often talk to - Max - walks up to me, and the first thing he says to me is "You're dreaming, you know?"
"Oh, I am?" I wasn't quite sure - everything seemed very realistic and I hadn't realised till now the strange dream-like feeling. I could tell before I had RC'd, but I did it anyway, and plugged my nose and breathed in. Awesome!

I turn to him, start rubbing my hands together to stabilise, and with the situation at hand I take the opportunity to ask a question, directed at the dream character but aimed to get an answer from my subconscious, I look him straight in the eyes.
"How come this doesn't happen more often?"
      "Huh?"
"How come you don't normally tell me when I'm dreaming?"
"Oh, you know, uh.." He was really unresponsive.
      "Is it an effort thing?"
I can't remember if he replied or the dream skipped, but he ended up saying
"You know, where I'm from there's this trick with water-"
and instantly I remembered - Yes! My goals! The ToTM!
      "Thank you!"

I start walking backwards out of the building, and think "When I turn around, there will be water." I pictured a lake, or a large, clear puddle behind me. When I turned, there was a few trees in front of a clearing, where there was a murky, muddy puddle. I walked towards it, saying in my head "I am walking to the water" over and over.

I stood infront of the puddle, facing towards the cabin. I stepped, trying to stand on the water and my foot simply planted straight into it. Hm. I tried both feet and failed. I believe I could have tried to lift myself out of the water after having both feet in, but I can't remember it completely and I'm not going to count it as complete. When I was done, I stood infront of the puddle again - this time for the advanced task. I started with water bending - something I've done completely naturally in a lucid dream before - but now I was thinking about it. I try and raise the water in a stream, using my hands to guide it up. It doesn't work, but I somehow make a splash in the puddle, and increase the effort and concentration I'm putting into the telekenesis. The murky water collects into one ball at eye level, gently swirling around while I increase the intensity to gather more water.

People started to gather and I realised I needed to control two elements, and not just water. While holding the ball of water in the air, I focus on the ground and try and raise up the dirt in columns - it doesn't work. Okay, wind! I start yelling, louder and louder as they do in Dragon Ball Z, feeling as I draw in more energy. The last time I did this in a dream I woke up just before I was finished and I didn't want that to happen again so I stopped increasing the volume. Loads of people were standing around me now - one was filming. I could see the wind blowing around me but I couldn't feel it yet - and the dream was starting to fade! I put all my effort in and felt the air rushing forwards against my back - success!

I woke up into a False Awakening, hearing an occasional dull buzzing noise. I presumed it was my phone, and turned to find out I had fallen asleep in bed on IRC with my netbook. I had been added to a private channel with ShockWave, Raspberry and a few new members I didn't recognise - I was also using webchat. I closed the windows and had a sudden panic that the lucid hadn't saved in the word document! (Which I never typed.) I woke up, as I went to check for the document, and started writing the dream out.
    9. 06/04/11 Sleep (1) 1:00AM - 9:00AM

      by , 06-07-2011 at 04:34 AM (Graham's DJ)
I dreamt I was in one of three arena-like settings. One with a large spider overhead, one with two fighting triceratops an one with two boxing kangaroos. I was in the spider's arena where a giant spider overhead (like 200ft across? Yeah.) was dropping large sphere-shaped blobs on me as I tried to pop them with a stick or something. I remember getting paid a couple thousand bucks everytime I did it without getting hit.

      Matt's Kangaroo Destroys the House

I have no idea what house I'm in but there are a couple of dogs running around and someone says that we should let Matt's kangaroos out. So I look and in the closet is a kangaroo. There is another on in kind of a dog crate, but with a particle board door on the front. They're not full grown kangaroos. One of them is really sweet and gentle and the other one is jumping around like an asshole knocking shit over and fucking the house up. I'm mad about this.

Express is not What it Used to Be

I walk into an Express store that I feel like I've worked at before in another dream. I walk straight up to the counter and talk to Frank who is the manager according to his nametag. On the opposite side of the counter is The Skank. I have no idea why she was there, but I think she was just a customer. It was questionable. I saw her at the grocery store during the day, I think that's why she was in my dream. So I'm talking to Frank, asking him when I can do some volunteer work there. He yelled to another girl who was working there when her next volunteer shift was and she didn't say when, but that she was making fifty cents an hour when she was doing her volunteer work.

Next thing I know, I'm actually working there. I think I just left the counter and started helping some guys pick out some sweaters. I asked someone on their way out if they got everything they needed and they said they got the shoes they wanted and thank you very much. I walked around the store and saw maybe eight or ten tables lined up. Each table had a different style of pants on it. There was only enough room for each table to hold one stack of pants. The tables were pine and oval like a kitchen table. I found this very odd and wondered what happened to the other tables we used to have. They were a lot nicer. So I asked someone else who was working there, "What happened to the square mahogany tables we used to have?" And I just got a blank stare. I found another girl to talk to and I asked her, "is the dry erase board with all the numbers from around the district still there?" She nodded yes. Then I turned to look at this display against the wall. It was a ton of glass cubes each holding I think shoes? But they were nasty dirty. So I grabbed some Windex and paper towels and started cleaning them. Then I kind of just dropped what I was doing to help someone in the fitting rooms and one guy came out in a striped dress shirt and I told him, "the size is just right, a large would be too large and a small would be too small!" He seemed very happy about this. Then a guy came out of the next fitting room and he looked great, too, and I told him so. No one wanted to get naked for me. Thank God!

Hotel John Marshall and Weed in the Truck

I'm in a truck in the passenger seat next to the guy that works at Quizno's that served me the Chicken Carbonara that gave me food poisoning the day before. We're looking at the Hotel John Marshall that was on the news last night because two limestone panels fell off the facade. Through the windshield I see Angela who works in General Merchandise at work. We're having a discussion about the hotel and that the squatters who live there are going to be shit out of luck when they turn the building into condos. I'm kind of going off about it, like I'm really angry that those squatters are there. So then she gets into the truck with us and the Quizno's guy lights up a joint and passes it to me. I see no problem with smoking with a manager from work. ha!

      Army Boot Camp

I'm in fatigues! I'm in a line of like forty other girls and we're in the woods. There are chairs set up in rows, maybe ten chairs to a row, four rows facing one way and four rows facing the other rows. It's some sort of game. So we all sit down. Then the one girl who I guess was in charge leaves and says we have to find something that she kept in her footlocker. (I think she's keeping our shoes or our cell phones.) Like we're in teams of ten and we have a GPS. So my team starts off single file walking against this chain link fence that's to our right and to our left is a steep incline that is like certain death if we fall down. Six girls just take off really fast and it's me and three other girls trying to navigate around this fence. Ok, we get past the place with the steep incline then we turn a corner and it's like jungle. It looks like a rainforest... except... I look up... and there are huge bigger than person sized killer insects in the trees!!!! Ahhhhhh!!! I am now scared to death! These bugs are low in the trees and we have to kind of squat down and walk underneath them. The fence is still to the right of us. I was debating going slow and stealth so that the bugs wouldn't even know I was there or maybe I should run so that I could just get it over with. I start out slow and then get so freaked out because I brushed the underside of one of the bugs!!! I can't help but run now! I get past all the bugs and do the 'ew get them off of me' dance. I have no idea where the other girls went.
    11. The White Kangaroo

      by , 09-13-1977 at 03:13 PM
Night of September 13, 1977. Tuesday.

In real life, my father had come home from his work rather early and came into my room to give me a book. “She told me to give this to you,” he said. Who did he mean? Jenny? Likely not. My father would not have directed any attention to the concept of ghosts at that point, especially “fresh” ghosts, ghosts only about a month old. “I found it in the window seat,” he said. He said it was the only thing on the property. Anywhere. It was a children’s book about a white kangaroo. I did not ask him who “she” was or who he thought the book had belonged to. He went back to work, riding there on his bicycle, a considerable distance (I had no idea why he felt the need to do this), working for a dollar an hour when everyone else was earning five or more. For his age, his stamina was incredible, including when he rode a bicycle across the United States, twice, in his seventies.

Even though I was sixteen and the book was obviously for a much younger age group, I kept it for awhile, though it did not make the journey to Wisconsin with me. Looking over my dream journals at the time, I discovered two older dreams about a “cataroo”, both on September 13th, one in 1973, the other in 1974. As the “cataroo” (upper half of cat, back half of kangaroo) rescued me in one dream, this “white kangaroo” business seemed benevolent and somehow reassuring. Still, it was an intriguing “coincidence”. This was before I came to learn how to trace precise synchronicity-based layers over the years that seemed “drawn” to a particular date for whatever reason. I came to think that it could possibly “explain” some aspects of precognition, but still did not explain “non-local mind” or remote viewing. After all, many people know that Christmas will arrive on the 25th of December. How difficult is that? Apparently too difficult a concept for the majority.

In my dream, I think of my father exploring the mostly empty recesses of either ruined lives or those who could not settle down and for whatever reason had to move on. (“You stay out of my piccalilli farrago!” What? No exploration allowed? Did curiosity ever actually kill a cat?) Each and every person left behind one thing. Only one item. Perhaps one “clue” to use as a “key” for whatever purpose. Not all dreams are like this of course, but those that remain with certain persistent residual feelings and seeming links that others would never see even if they studied something for centuries.

At this point in my life (age sixteen, in September of 1977), I saw the world, for the most part, as jealous, murderous, and completely insane - and with very good reason. Those who were not insane were innocent and refused to do a single thing against the dominant problematic aggressors. Whoever you interacted with could easily be “removed”. Even after countless warnings and direct signs, no one listened.

My dream girl aka “imaginary girlfriend” as best friend Toby called her (though he did have honest interest in my dream work, unlike some) noted the white kangaroo book. She told me she would “hold one for me” when I was to make contact with her in the “real” world (whatever that is) years from then. She said her human form would not necessarily realize this. Her angelic goddess essence would always be present…somewhere. It seems funny to hear a dream character talking about their “human form”. It was not that I would ever need “confirmation”. The “clues” I knew of were already virtually endless. If I had started to write every miraculous “coincidence” that came directly to me, I would never stop writing.

The voices of truth cannot be silenced. People can lie. People can pretend. People deny that love exists. People deny that anything beyond mundane human life exists (and thus even their “dreams” are mundane and linear). Some people seem to enjoy denying the universe itself. Perhaps they even deny the existence of life itself.

    12. The Cataroo Rescued Me

      by , 09-13-1974 at 09:57 AM
Morning of September 13, 1974. Friday.

The so-called “cataroo” in this dream is quite different in appearance than the first personal version (and vision) of this fictional creature. In this dream, it mostly looks like a kangaroo with a cat’s head while in the first dream about this fantasy hybrid creature, it had the entire upper half of a cat and the bottom half of an implied miniature kangaroo but only cat-sized overall. The fact that the last version was the most kangaroo-like implies my path getting closer to my Australian wife-to-be.

In the dream, I am in an unknown and mostly undefined location (somewhat like an isolated movie set in the middle of a void), though it seems to be present at another level of perspective (superimposed in locational memory but with no known or discernible features around the central area) just west of my Cubitis home. There is a castle, possibly abandoned as I see no other people in the dream, which has a large moat around it.

Somehow, I fall into the moat, which turns out to be mostly of darker-colored quicksand. (This is a partial “replay” of a real-life event where I got stuck in a deeper muddy hole in the far backyard area when messing around one afternoon and my father had to pull me up and out.)

Eventually, a “cataroo” approaches and pulls me out and then seems “happy”. There is not that much interaction as I mostly follow it around the castle grounds until the dream loses cohesion. Unlike the first cataroo dream, this one is about kangaroo size and mostly remains upright.

Here we see (as usual with me) an entire stratum of precognitive Source-based perspective and synchronicity.

This was on my wife’s sixth birthday prior to knowing she (additionally in reference to the “mystery girl”) even existed - and she is Australian… (kangaroo link) as well as having been a cat breeder and going to cat shows when we first made contact (cat link) - thus the cataroo obviously symbolize my wife in a precognitive sense (although the first cataroo dream was even more precisely precognitive in a visual sense). This was also on a Friday the 13th as was my wife’s birthday.

This was also the first time I later saw “Night of the Lepus”, which aired on television on CBS (as the late movie) at 11:30 pm. The associations are that my family had a rabbit farm (both in Chipmunk Coulee in Wisconsin and in Cubitis in Florida) and that the movie references the rabbit problem in Australia (where my yet-to-be wife lived). There are also more precognitive layers associated with my surgery in 1976 detailed in other entries. There is a lesser idea of course on how kangaroos and rabbits are both “hopping animals”. (I had also watched “Cat Ballou” earlier that same evening - which seems to be a personal Source play on “cat below” in reference to Australia.)

The in-dream association also has a link to Psalm 69:14, 69 being a visual association of Yin and Yang and the supposedly secret (Temple of Hathor) Sagittarius and Virgo union - Corona Borealis and Corona Australis - and interestingly, I never associated it as other people do; that is, immediately (and often solely) with the oral “act” - which to me is absurd - especially as I was aware of the spiritual meaning and Yin-Yang connection around age four back in 1965. I do not directly follow Christianity, but this Bible verse reads “Rescue me from the mire, do not let me sink; deliver me from those who hate me, from the deep waters”. This implies that my wife (prior to knowing the “mystery girl” was real) would, in the future, “save me from the quicksand to get to the castle”. The castle was also the location of the main spiritual “battle” between the “mystery girl” (wife-to-be) and the “other” (Susan R) - which had real-life repercussions over a lifetime of several people. Of course, the “corona” association is “crown” - which implies a castle connection as it is.

As for number fourteen, there is a link to my personal path - but it relates solely to the recurrence of the Roman form XIV for some reason. I suspect this complementary highly recurring synchronicity (a Louis XIV musical aired this evening as well at 10:00) relates not so much to the number fourteen but to the lesser symbolic plays on eleven and twenty-two - because XI represents eleven and V is the twenty-second letter of the English alphabet. (The key patten being 6, 9, 11, 22, 66, 69, 96, 99, etc.)

“Rescue me from the mire” was also the first line of a Bryan Adams song (sixth studio album) I heard after communicating with my wife-to-be for a time in 1992, titled “Do I Have to Say the Words?” - recorded in 1991 (the year I first made contact with my wife) and listed as having the length of 6:11, peaking at number 11 on the US Billboard Hot 100, and the second song on the CD single being “Summer Of ‘69” (live).

Just purely out of curiosity I used the same next vowel, next consonant cycle on “Lepus” as I had originally discovered in childhood regarding my name becoming “I hug PO Virgo”. “Lepus” can make “Bufo J” which is relative to the toad - another “hopping animal” (though not that good a hopper) in the 13th row after the original “Lepus” by the same token that “Jesus” makes “Love V” in its second row.

Finally, as I wrote in other entries, the “cataroo” was solely from an inner perspective, as this was before the Internet and before I realized that other people had contemplated this mythical hybrid, likely both before and after I had - in modern hindsight.

    13. The Cataroo (long-term precognitive)

      by , 09-13-1973 at 03:13 PM
Morning of September 13, 1973. Thursday.

I first dreamt of the fictional animal - the “cataroo” (long before the Internet and the potential to see that others had thought of it) at this time. In this case, it has the upper half of a cat and the bottom half of a miniature kangaroo (as it is cat-sized here). It has a very special vindication for me, personally. In this first dream of the “cataroo”, it was in a wicker cat cage with a rounded top, the cage facing west, while in the northeast area of the living room, which remains semi-dark throughout my dream - the small carrying cage itself and its precise appearance as in my dream being something that I had never seen or heard of. This was very precise precognition many years ahead, as my wife had one exactly like it when we got together many years later. Also as in my dream, the door broke off eventually.

The cage was, again, visually exact relative to my more distant future and marriage, but the rest of the precognition was a composite of other factors and facets as it often is - my wife was breeding cats at the time I went to her, and she lived in Australia (thus the cat-kangaroo mix), which I had no real-life association with at all as a boy. This is why I have always firstly looked at dreams as a literal combination of past, present, and future (even distant future) and not symbolic in an obscure or totally unrelated sense that so-called dream dictionaries try to promote.

On a lesser note, this night was the first episode of the second season of “The Waltons” television series (the episode “The Journey”, where there is some unusually complex synchronicity, one facet relating to the December 20, 1960 comic strip “Henry”). This is only relative in that the “mystery girl” or “imaginary girlfriend” and I were intimate when it was on in my dream and with Roosevelt I making a gag of the “watching the Waltons while making love” scenario in real-life. Coincidentally (or yet more subtle precognition), a similar gag was used on an actual (sitcom I think) television show a short time later, but I cannot presently recall the name.
