    1. Without Eyes; The Game Palace

by , 11-20-2015 at 05:44 PM (Visual Space)
It started out as a horror dream where I was watching from a spectator perspective. I was watching a girl run away from another girl who had no eyes and appeared to be a phantom. Her skin was super pale, had long black hair, and wore a tattered white dress. The young girl kept running away whilst whenever the phantom got close, a jumpscare would occur where my perspective would close in on the phantom's face and a loud dubstep mechanical noise come forth.

What was interesting was the RPG format. Scenes changing by fading out whenever doors would open, and the girl would run in a 4 way lane. Soon afterwards the girl gets trapped in the corner by the phantom girl, but all she wanted was to fix the dress the girl was wearing, which the phantom use to wear when alive. After that whole thing, I was plopped in the dream scene; the house. The girl I was watching looked anime-esque, like a CGI but more realistic (which from my many non-lucids, seems to be happening all the time, so I guess its going to be a thing now lol) she had blond hair and green eyes, and the dress was the exact replica of the phantom's. she walked upstairs and I began to look at the house. hardwood floors, white washed walls, and narrow hallways with many staircases.

Soon, 2 girls, and my real friend Aaron appeared in the front door. I don't remember what the girl wanted, but me and Aaron wanted to go somewhere so we went outside, which looked like a street called Dixwell. We were walking to the bus stop in the dead of night and a ghost who looked like a complete black and white drawing of a girl chased us for a while before vanishing. later we get in the city bus with people having and acting according to their costumes. there were even cartoon characters on this bus such as foghorn leghorn, bugs bunny, and some reason cat people.

A feminine looking boy who was wearing a yellow and red costume had a fake gun that made loud popping noises. Everyone got annoyed to the point of ganging up on him. While the bus was moving, albeit, very slowly, Aaron and this short guy got off the bus with the boy to hit him in the face. Eventually they ran back on the bus with the kid crying, talking about his mid-life crisis.

We were what appeared to be a west haven area and soon stopped. I hopped out the bus and I looked at the cloudless sky to see small spaceships shooting at each other in a team style deathmatch, mind you the sky use to be dark. I noticed some ships were sleek and smooth looking, while others were jagged and pointy looking. smooth ships vs. jagged ships? they were small to the point where you can hold them, some the size of a basketball or shoes. They were also pretty close to our bus just shooting lasers at each other. I began to look for a bathroom and someone yelled and pointed toward the north to see giant EVE ships in the distance, moving as a fleet. Soon afterwards everything was murky, can only remember the bathroom.
    2. Non-Lucid Nightmare 。・゚・(ノД`)・゚・。

      by , 07-08-2015 at 09:21 AM
I was trying to trigger a lucid dream in which I'd re-encounter my dream guide, but instead I got a non-lucid nightmare.

      3am

      Dream Two non-lucid

I had a dream I could see Mittens (my cat who passed away) every once and a while and Mom finally took a video of it and the girl from the ring was appeared in it, with this horrifying music, and eventually I couldn't shut it off...

I liked the music. It was very beautiful. But in its context it was horrifying.

The whole time I was thinking, could I edit out the part with Sadako, or will it just revert back to the normal video?

The video started off with me petting Mittens. Then, she went behind the counter to chase a spider and Sadako's hair was under the dishwasher. Suddenly, you could see her face peer out *shudders*. Then, the video skipped to this scene in the sky? I don't remember. Then back to Sadako, with her getting closer and closer to the camera. Originally I refused to watch the entire video, but when I finally did I couldn't turn it off anymore.

I felt bad because at the end of the dream, when I couldn't shut off the video, I handed it to my mom or brother for him or her to deal with whatever curse it brings. I was showing it to my brother, but I think at the last moment it was my mom holding the camera.

      Dream One non-lucid

There was this online course, but it happened on a device like a Pokewalker. So all the text for the course was on this small device, one line at a time. I just thought it was the most ridiculous thing and complained.

I wasn't enrolled in the course. I think my sister-in-law was looking at schools and saw the course.
    3. (April 8, 2015) Scary stuff

      by , 04-09-2015 at 05:20 AM
Late entry, but late is better than never.

first dream i was in some sort of tall building out on a balcony, scenery resembled old town from the game dying light. I look across about 100 yards away from the balcony, a small concrete bunker on a cliffside. I tell the group of people i am with i want to go there to meditate to improve my dream abilities and they laugh at me but i go anyway. I go into the bunker down an open hatch on the roof, down a all concrete staircase into a all concrete room with some yard supplies. i forget wy i am there and I grab a wheel barrow and collect some things. i go deeper into the bunker and end up in the finished basement of my old house, but it is dark. It is a room with the staircase in the middle dividing it into two sections of room. one with carpet and one with tile, and "tongue and groove" wood walls. I feel fear for some reason and leave. i go out the basement, back up the concrete stair entrance leaving the wheel barrow at the base of the stairs. i turn for a moment and stare at it, and it suddenly get thrashed, flipping over spilling all its contents, like something from a ghost movie and i very quickly run away from there. i am now all the way down the mountain on the road, with no transition between the two. I am talking to my friend somewhat frantically about the incident.

I wake up, throat dry so i grab the water next to me. forgot to do at least a basic wbtb.

This dream below would have been more complete had i wrote it down this morning.

I am in a classroom. its dark colored, faded wallpaper, really run down. The teacher decides to showcase a video of what i had done earlier in the dream, except instead of watching it the dream changes and I am now living this scene. I am in a very dark house, or asylum, or building, not quite sure but go with the flow. There are a series of long long dark hallways and the power is out. It is storming outside and lighting lights the room every once in a while. I see the silhouette of a ghost in one of the flashes, wait a minute and walk down the hallway to see it. now my family appears with me, but quickly disappears when i look down the next hallway. i assume the ghost did something. I see old t-shirts on the ground and pick them up thinking i may need them. The lightning flashes again, i see the ghost again at the end of the hallway and i start to run straight for it this time, it goes down the next hallway 90 degrees to it. there is another shirt at the intersection and i pick it up, look up to see the ghost flying at me. I have no time to react and it stops me. it is a pale older woman, wearing all gray dull clothing. she has no pupils, the dead eyes completely white. then the dream ends

usually dreams of horror themes never bother, gotta say these two in a row made me a bit skittish in my dreams. they usually help me become lucid, resizing this isnt real, but not this time!
    4. Kidnapped

      by , 03-14-2015 at 07:55 PM
As a new member, I'm going to put up some older lucid-based dreams on here. I have been recording for my own amusement since 2001, and a few random lucid moments occurred during that time. I will put up the lucid dreams I had thus far.
      ---

I just had THE most realistic dream ever. I am wide awake and I have to write this down.

I was drifting off to sleep. It hasn't happened in a while, but when I was in college I used to have alot of out of body experience-type things. Usually it involved mostly movement and sensations. In these type of dreams, for some reason I can't always see what is going on. I am not entirely positive it was an OOB experience. If its instead a lucid dream, and you are convinced in the dream world that its an OOB, is it an actual OOB or part of the dream? Anyways. I'll write what I remember.

I felt myself, first off, drifting out of my body. More like wrenching myself out of my body in a good effort. I remember reaching my hands outwards because I really wanted to get out. Once I was free of myself, I floated above me a little bit in the same laying position as I was when sleeping. Then I slowly felt myself turn, in this same position, with my head facing where my feet had been and vice versa. It felt like someone was guiding me into this. The laying position then lifted up like a rocket preparing to launch, and I was flying off. I now remember seeing the walls around me zooming by as I went through them.

The first sensation I felt after that was sound. What sounded like a steady car-driving sound, or the highway. I heard cars zoom past me and I wondered what I was experiencing. I couldn't move, and like I said I sometimes I can't see anything in these types of dreams. I was still in a laying position. I assumed I was in someone's car. I felt someone brushing my hair or moving their hands through it to clean it. They were trying to keep me looking neat, I guess. The wind in the car kept whipping my hair around a smidge, and they wanted to keep it nice and neat. I also felt at one point them lifting my bangs in an attempt to cut them short. Or maybe they lifted them but didn't cut them. I also remember someone pulling some of my own hair that was stuck in between my teeth out, as if they got stuck up in my gums pretty good. This part was odd. There was alot of hair stuck in-between the right side of my teeth, and they pulled them out with some effort. It reminded me of dental work.

Next I remember being in a room and hearing people talking. I think I saw the room, I'm not sure. This part is blurry.

Anyways, this "laying-still-while-someone-brushes-my-hair-while-in-a-moving-car" thing was going on for a while, and dream/spirit-me was getting really bored. I was hoping for something a little more interesting and this wasn't cutting it. I wanted to wake up and get back into another dream. I tried opening my eyes, because in the past opening them has wakened me from these types of dreams. This time I had opened them, and I saw instead slight glimpses of the environment around me. I *thought* that I was waking up, but then suddenly I was afraid of opening them again. Like I was unsure of what to do about the opening-eyes thing. So, I stayed in the dream.

Suddenly I felt fingertips on the middle of my back, and then a strong person picking me up from my laying position. I thought it was an angel pulling me out of the dream. I was saying in my head "Thank you God!" over and over because I was sure this creepy kidnapping dream was going to end. It was starting to frighten me! Whoever was carrying me was reassuring me, saying it was alright. Also I recall a glimpse of me being carried through the threshold.
But then, I felt someone cleaning my skin.

Like every inch of my skin, cleaning something off of it. I still thought this was a process of leaving the dream so I still had hope. I thought then I was safely set in my bed/body again and I would wake up to reality.

When I opened my eyes, I was in shock. Instead of the familiar darkness of my bedroom, and the sensation of being awake, what met my eyes was a bathroom.

A yellow and white tiled bathroom. it was tiled in small yellow and white tiles so that it made a checkered pattern. They were really tiny ones, like mosaic sized, and they came up the wall halfway like some bathrooms have them. The walls were yellow. I stood in the middle of the room. To my right and parallel to where I stood was a smudgy, dirty mirror, like the kind in older junky hair salons. To my right, infront of me, was I think a sink. Directly infront of me was a tiny window, closer to the ceiling, with white curtains and yellow pattern on it. To the left and center was a toilet. To the left and parallel to where I stood was a counter or sink. It was an alright sized bathroom. Medium sized I guess. It reminded me of an old ladies bathroom. Someone who had done the decor in the 60s and then totally kept it that way through the rest of their life. It was nice for an outdated shitty bathroom.

So, I was in total and complete shock, and I began repeating to myself "this isn't my house this isn't my house!" all scared. I started looking around frantically at the setting. I darted to the window but didn't look through or attempt to open it. I looked at the dirty mirror, and kind of saw me. It looked a little like me, but two long, inch wide strands of bangs were covering my eyes. They seemed lighter than the rest of my hair, which was cut kind of similar. I couldn't tell so much because the mirror was too high for me to see past my forehead. Also I was afraid to look. I didn't immediately see eyes so I freaked out. Dream-mirror-looking is never fun. D: I didn't want to stare long enough to see I didn't have eyes or something dumb like that. Also I think I was wearing one of the nightgowns I actually own.

Anyways, I was immediately determined to get the fuck out of there. I opened the door, it wasn't locked. I knew there had to be someone downstairs waiting for me. As soon as I exited the bathroom, to my immediate left, was a staircase going downstairs. I took it. At the end of the stairs, to my right, across from a large, dark sitting room, was the living room. It had a curved entry-way that sectioned the room off from the other parts of the house. Inside this room it was also brighter. I saw two fat people sitting there. One was a woman and she was watching TV. Another was a man in a brown-tan shirt and he was reaching behind the sofa for something. He was crouched the other way.

I tried to silently sneak out. The guy saw or heard me and ran after me. I took something metal and smacked him over the head with it. I went to run again for the door, but every time I tried running my head began to swim and I'd get really dizzy. Like the action was taking alot out of me. It was a struggle. Once again I had to turn back as the guy tried to approach me. This time I grabbed a long metal standing lamp that was set by the door and smacked him over the head with it. That really got him, and he fell to the ground. I debated going at him again with the lamp and getting him for good, but I was afraid of the other person in the next room getting up and helping the guy out. Also he wasn't knocked out. He crawled for something that was on the floor a little ways beyond the door to the outside. I didn't wait to find out what it was he was grabbing for.

This time I walked slowly to the door. I knew running wouldn't work out well for me. I thought to myself: "Sometimes when you rush things you don't get anything done correctly." So I took my time and walked there. I was mere inches from the door. There was something small blocking it. Like a trunk or something. Something I could hop over easily.

AND THATS WHERE I WOKE UP! FFFFFFFFF

Its not that I am afraid (although I went to check if the door was locked lol), just amazed. Surprised. "What the fuck!?" and so on. I wonder whether it was a dream or something else. And I wonder if the girl was supposed to be me or another girl who was never so lucky to escape. I just don't understand. I am confused!

I also feel like I'm never going back to sleep, Siigh

      End!

      ----

Scary as it was at the time, the complete realism I experienced when I opened my eyes and looked at that bathroom was amazing. I might as well had been in a real bathroom, in a real house. I sort of began to lose the lucid feeling in the living room, as I was smacking the guy in the head and attempting to run. But the majority of the experience was so so real. It didn't even feel like a dream, up until the end part.

I wonder, was this a WILD? Obviously the first part was a little SP. Being in my body, struggling to get out, etc. Some of my SPs in the past had involved me floating above my body as I slept like how I did here. I feel like I kind of worked my way through this SP, and got myself a nice reward for doing so.

      Anyways, hope you enjoyed c:

    5. Fragments, anthro penguins eat chocolate

      by , 03-11-2015 at 01:38 AM (Keitorin's Dream Log)
      Yesterday:

      1. A horror story type dream with a group of people. Some of them have to be sacrificed. When ‘I’ realize that one of them is going to be next, I say ‘I’m sorry’ to her. She bleeds down her body and the blood goes to someone else. There was a skeleton? And a man in poor condition ends up being healed. Then he goes in a room with someone?

      2. Something about a group of people, one of them named Caerwyn

DST and waking up an hour early messed me up.

      Today:

Anime-style dream with anthropomorphism. The style was kind of moe.

Two girls are on an ‘island’, but it’s like a desert area. They’re talking about how people throw the wrong kind of chocolate out for the girl on the right because they don’t realize she can only eat the softer kind that has ‘LOVE’ written on the colorful little wrappings.

A third girl lands/appears and walks close enough to hear them. She hears mention of the word ‘penguin’ and thinks they’re talking about her. She seems like a tsundere type in the way she acts. She angrily dives into the conversation asking why they’re talking about her, until she realizes (is told?) that the girl on the right is a penguin too.

Inspirations: Been reading a webtoon about anthropomorphic animals. It doesn’t have any penguins in it though!

    6. The Possessed Children

by , 09-14-2014 at 03:16 AM (The Dream Magic Experiment)
      9:53 a.m.

I was in some sort of town or place. It's starting to get overrun by gangsters made up of mainly teenagers and some even prepubescent boys. I was walking along the street when I saw one group. They were fighting. It's a mix of adults and young boys, but the latter made up most of the group. I either "tiptoe" all around the place while they fight (they seem to ignore me) or I run away at the sight of them. The latter became more common after a while. There are afternoon and night times.

At some point, I tried hiding in dorm houses (or just plain houses) only to find that some were already there or some were looking for people with keys to dorm houses so they can get inside. It started getting "scarier" at that point. The kids are no longer just gangster kids. They were possessed. The more they "kill" or do something with, the more they spread out. Like a virus. Almost like a zombie movie, except that they seem conscious. Maybe a Las Plagas zombie.

Some people are starting to move to the "next town", and I joined in the exodus. But along the way, we encounter death and destruction caused by the possessed. It was very much like a zombie apocalypse, with ruined buildings and deserted cities.

Somehow, I and the group I was with, ended up in a hotel-like place. I saw some horrific scents where a person is... I'm not sure how to describe it, but some horror/thriller games show it pretty well... a living person "nailed" by a huge nail to a humanoid monstrosity through her private part, people ripped apart by possessed humans, and all of this within the confines of probably someplace that looks like Amnesia or Silent Hill buildings, with a bloody hospital-like setting. Or a dirty morgue. At some parts, I was avoiding them, while at other parts, I was kind of jumping around (tiptoeing?) around the creatures. Also, that human nailed to the monster was the girlfriend of one of our companions. I have the idea that we were slowly getting killed as we traverse the area but I don't really recall.

At one point, I discovered the "nest" of the main possessed being (or maybe just a really strong monster). I was alone then. The being was "sleeping" in a room filled with clothing or sheets. It was under those sheets so I couldn't see it but I knew it was there and I could hear it breathing. I decided that what safer place to be in than the room of the big monster? No smaller monster will try to harass the thing, and me as well.

The view shifted somehow and I was with other in a room with... stuff. Not a room, I guess, but more of a warehouse. We found the "egg" that started the horror. But somebody (me?) cracked it accidentally and will now attempt to spread the horror (maybe this was the first part?). The guy who was raped by a demon (I think) and produced that egg lamented that it shouldn't be allowed to "wake up".

      NOTES:

      - slept at around 5 a.m.
      - I felt more of a lack of breath while jumping around but not much of horror.
      - I was reading some true-story thrillers before sleeping.
      - I took out my keys while in the elevator and corridor and worried someone might duplicate them somehow and invade our place.
      - I saw the salty egg in the kitchen earlier and wondered if it's still good.
      - This would be interesting to interpret.
      - I seem to have tried doing parkour moves somewhere in the dream, but I could remember clearly.
    7. Tales from the Dream Realm

      8/10/2014

      Chapter I: Three Travelers
I don’t remember the events preceding but somehow some friends and I had come across three hikers in the snow. We were in a forest in the middle of winter. The forest was somewhat thin. The hikers were injured critically and were suffering from hypothermia. They had amnesia and had no idea what had happened or where they even were. Somehow we were able to surmise that there had been an avalanche and they were caught in it. We got them back to my apartment and took care of them. I do not remember how the hikers looked but I do remember talking with one of them. A young woman (probably mid to late 20s). I think she and I had an engaging conversation. I have a feeling that she shared with me aspects of her life that were of importance to her. I remember feeling particularly bad for her because her injuries were much more severe. I left her wondering if we would get a chance to speak again…we didn’t. She died the next morning.

      Chapter II: Necromancy
There once was a man who believed in ghosts
“I know them, I hear them, I see them,” he’d boast
I worked with this man, I knew him well
How this came to be, I couldn’t tell
He came one day and shouted, “Come look!”
“Look what I have! A magical book!”
“This book is special,” he said to me.
“Open this book and ghosts you will see.”
The book was black, a green skull on the front
It looked rather trite if I could be blunt
“How does it work?” I asked this guy
“Open the book, it will blow your mind!”
      “There’s a portal! A portal! A portal inside!”
“That allows you to meet those who have died!”
So I opened the book and so there was
A window inside to ghosts abuzz
The ghosts were green and had red eyes
Then I heard a voice, “Have you lost your minds??”
I look and I see, a woman is there
I don’t recall her looks, not even her hair.
The woman came up and then she said.
“What is your problem? Are you sick in the head?”
“Now listen here and listen you,”
“Those ghosts are hostile. They’ll rip you in two!”
What happens next, I cannot recall.
So our chapter ends here. That is all.

      Chapter III: Zero-G
It was a normal work day in the backroom at Walmart. It was the latter part of my shift and by this time I was doing picks. I was going to speak with coworker, Sean, about something when suddenly I saw him lift off of the ground. Soon after, I was off the ground too. We, along with several others there, were floating towards the ceiling.
“God damn it!” Sean exclaimed, “Some idiot turned off the gravity again!” Fuck ups were commonplace at the store I worked but until now I had no idea that there was gravity plating beneath the floors of the backroom. I questioned the need for such a thing in a place like this and who on earth would have been stupid enough to reverse the gravity plates (which we apparently have)? I began to consider the consequences of what would happen should I break though one of the skylights. I began to panic at the thought of floating out into space and being lost forever. Anxious, I began to claw at the shelving just beneath me. My fears were unfounded as the gravity plates were set right and we all floated back down. I was embarrassed for panicking the way I did.

      Chapter IV: Night Ride
For some reason, my car was out of commission so I had no other alternative but to ride my bike to work. The moon shone brightly in the sky as I rode through the commercial district of one of the small towns. Before I knew it there was a whole line of bikes ahead of me and behind me along with a few cars. I loved riding in this makeshift convoy. But my bike was uncomfortable because the handle bars were low so I pulled over onto the median, making sure to stay out of the way of the other riders, and pulled the handle bars as high as I could. So I rode on but the handle bars were still too low for me and it was very uncomfortable to ride. At the next light, I lowered my seats and was very grateful to the people behind me for their patience as the light had turned green as I was adjusting. They were all very cool about it and didn’t say a word. So I rode on and now I was comfortable. I vaguely remember making friends with a girl who was riding with us but I don’t remember much of the details behind that.
I got to work and was ready to start unloading the truck. My heart race when I thought I heard my supervisor say that we had a 7000 piece truck to unload. I asked him again and I was sure he had said 7046 this time! Which was odd because I could see inside the truck and it didn’t look like that much. I walked up to him and asked how much we had to unload that day and I clearly heard him say 1746. A sigh of relief left as we started to unload the truck. I had a good feeling about tonight. I had a feeling that this was going to be a good night.

      Chapter V: The Machine
There was a scientist who had managed to set up shop in the back rooms of Walmart. He was trying to work a machine that could open up portals to other worlds. His attempts were futile as the machine had never worked. But perhaps now it would. You see, this man had an ace up his sleeve. A young boy probably around thirteen or fourteen. This boy was his a assistant.
He turned to this boy and said: “You there! You will be the one to power this machine! The power to make this work will come from you!” The man pulled out a small empty plastic box that was connected to the machine with a couple of wires. The boy stepped in and sat down in the box without saying a word. The man then activated the machine. Exact details of what happened next I cannot recall, I just vaguely remember sporadic bolts of electricity and the ultimate failure of his machine followed by curses from an angry scientist.
“Damn! Damn! Damn!” He shouted, “Why didn’t it work!? Damn it, Boy! Why didn’t it work? Why didn’t my machine work!?” But the boy did not answer. He was dead.
    8. The Horrible Horror Story, and Notes On Yesterday's Afternoon Meditation

      by , 07-26-2014 at 11:52 AM (Krista's Dream Journal)
      Dream - Lucid

I had written two books, and was in the process of writing a third. I don't remember the genre of the first two. The third was a very graphic horror book, and much longer than the first two, even though it wasn't finished yet.

We were by a book shelf, but I feel like we were at a grocery store? Courtney S. was there with a few other people. She and some of the others had read the other two, and they really liked them. Courtney S. picked up the third one to read, and I took it from her; this was not a book I was going to release to the public. It was about some people being at sea and tragedies started to strike them, starting with one of the characters getting a cork stuck in her throat. It got way worse after that; there were sex scenes and gruesome accidents. It was a hardback book that had a red jacket with some sort of pattern on it. It looked like Christmas wrapping paper. It was wayyyy too big for the book. I tore some of the excess paper off the book. I had apparently made the book covers with a kit used to create them.

I had not worked on the horror book for quite some time. I started to read it myself, and get myself into the mood to write the book. Some of it was written out like a play, with the characters talking in turn, having their names precede their dialog. I could picture it as I was reading it; I saw the lady who got the cork stuck in her throat speaking with another lady. She foolishly had the cork in her mouth. The other lady was supposed to call 911 when the cork got lodged in her friend's throat. Then, there was a scene that I didn't finish reading, one about a guy I know IWL named Jeff B., and it was a sex scene between him and I. I imagined him with no shirt. He was very sculpted.

I felt strangely excited about reading and writing the book again, almost sexually so.

I then remember seeing a grocery store aisle by the check out counters.

I absolutely know I dreamed more last night, but no more recall. I did go to bed late, and am up early for work again.

I did my meditation yesterday. I like to meditate on my inner light and love. I always visit a monk in my meditations, and he helps to walk me through them. I cleansed my chakras, and let go of my anxieties and negative energy. It was definitely something I have been meaning (and needing) to do. Towards the end of it, I felt as if I was falling asleep, but I wasn't falling asleep; it was like I was falling into a very meditative state. My chest started to feel warm. I couldn't really feel my fingers touching the bed. I then saw a big purple blob in the middle of my vision, and heard a voice say
"I am afraid my child will come home."
I would liken this occurrence to the weird thoughts one has before falling asleep sometimes.
I then came out of the deep state, but was still in a somewhat meditative state. I meditated for about 20 minutes or so. Gonna try to do it again today after work, though I am afraid I might fall asleep instead...I am going to be wiped.

    9. Walton's Laboratory

      by , 07-04-2014 at 07:08 AM
So there are several weird things that take place in the dream realm. There are some things that people didn’t know. For example, Walmart’s warehouse (at least at the one where I work) doubles over as a massive laboratory in which revolutionary experiments are held. The laboratory is much bigger on the inside than it is on the outside and right now they are going through a bit of a rough patch. I was a high ranking technician in the lab and I was forced to leave my department to go help another department with something.

The laboratory was massive and resembled the interior of the USG Ishimura from the video game “Dead Space.” Much like the Ishimura the backroom laboratory had been overrun by zombie alien monsters known as necromorphs. The necromorphs shunned the light so they did not go where the light was. I was safe so long as I remained in the lit areas but due to sporadic power outages there were certain dark areas where the necros lurked. The infestation was being taken care of by necromorph exterminators to that we could continue our work while the necromorphs were dealt with. We were each issued RIG armor (also from “Dead Space”) and firearms that we may be able to defend ourselves should we ever come across any necros.

Now it was quite the hike from point A to point B and according to the waypoint that had been programmed into my RIG, the quickest rout was a straight shot through various departments. Honestly, I thought for sure that I would not have clearance to pass through these departments and that I would have to take the long way around but much to my shock: I was greeted warmly as I passed through each department. In fact I had a very good reputation throughout the entire laboratory.

Unfortunately my waypoint kept pointing me through dark areas that the exterminators hadn’t reached yet. I had my gun drawn and ready in case I ran into any necromorphs in those areas. Luckily those areas just so happened to be vacant at the time that I passed through them. As I got closer to where I was supposed to go I passed by some massive dark areas that had been fenced off by the exterminators. Needless to say, I made a point to avoid those areas. Now here’s where things got complicated. The way point began to fade as I got closer to the objective and it pointed me in the direction of a dark area that had not been fenced off. I trembled as I stood before the area as the thought of setting foot in there frightened me. Luckily I did not have to go in there because the waypoint suddenly pointed left into the brightly lit break room just before the darkened area. I did not know why the waypoint led me hear but at that point I did not care. I saw a friend of mine, Alec, sitting at one of the tables and one other person there. He and I went to the fridge to get sodas for ourselves but we could not find any. That is where the dream ended.
    10. Dream Software [lucid]

      by , 04-24-2014 at 06:54 PM
My dream starts as sort of a nightmare. The nightmare itself is jumbled and confused - there's not a clean narrative. It's mostly short, quick clips of action strung together and viewed from a 3rd person POV. Mud and rain; earth sliding into a river, pulling people down with it... switch to what seems like a motel and some sequences that seem like they're out of a slasher horror flick, people running in fear, and severed limbs and blood everywhere. It mostly seems like it's just my brain tossing up whatever seems disturbing and frightening at the moment.

Because of how disjointed it is, it's failing to really frighten or disturb me. My mind starts to get more and more distanced from what's going on, and starts paying less attention to it. I gain lucidity in one of the motel/dorm rooms while two women are arguing with each other. They look straight out of the 80s - one has bleached hair teased up a mile high and fake orange tanner, and the other is a brunette with a ponytail and teased bangs. As soon as I realize this is a dream, I am no longer a disembodied observer. There's an oval mirror on the wall - I run up to it and look at myself in the mirror in order to reaffirm that I now have a physical presence.

I immediately crouch on the floor and start running my fingers through the carpet in order to solidify my surroundings. Things seem to be fading, so I stand up and produce a hand mirror from behind myself and examine myself in it. The two women have stopped arguing and are looking at me. I feel embarrassed about them potentially thinking that I'm just extremely vain (despite the fact that they're just dream characters), so I shrug and tell them, "I'm just making sure I still exist."

They lose interest in me, and I lose interest in them, because I've decided that since my scene changes haven't gone so well lately, maybe I'll just mold my current surroundings into what I want. I pull up the software interface for 3D Studio Max and start modeling furniture for the room. Despite being a motel room, it has no bed, so I decide to experiment with creating one. I begin working on it as if it's a 3D model for a video game.

The two women have faded away. I minimize the "software" I'm working with to check and see if the bed has appeared. It has, and looks very solid, but it's the plain solid white of a 3D model that has been imported into some engines but doesn't have a texture linked to it (or the texture isn't loading).

I decide I'll texture it later, once I've gotten the hang of this, and decide to start working on one of the windows. I "import" it into my software and begin tweaking it. The window is a little bit tougher - it resists conforming to what I want.

The dream fades. Eventually, another one starts, but it's non-lucid. I'm watching a bunch of characters in a video game and "piloting" some of them, and the game is sort of Harvest Moon-y but instead everybody is little Lego people and they're going to classes at a university. One of the landslide scenes from the prior nightmare replays, but with little Lego people instead of realistic people. The character I'm piloting is supposed to get a date for a festival coming up and has until 5 a.m. the day of the festival, but because of the landslide, I don't manage to complete the objective and watch the festival play out without a date. The characters go to class, and the professor is very boring. The textbook is 900 pages long, but the professor is focusing on a 4 page section of it. The students have smuggled some pot edibles into class, and when the professor goes to another room for a few minutes, they all leave class to get high. The character I'm piloting stays in class. When the prof gets back, he seems bummed that nobody cares about the lecture.

"Sometimes you look at the aftermath of a horrible event with a feeling of pride"

Had a semi lucid dream today. I had no real idea that I was dreaming other than the fact the l that the dream was a previous nightmare so I was walking through it remembering the fun times I had.

I don't know if I actually had this dream or not before but I do know that the monster chasing me was a T.Rex and I spawned a T.Rex yesterday.

The dream was a town that was pretty safe at the real time, but I kept having flashbacks to when I was being chased by the dinosaur. It was a mix off nostalgia, fear, and cheerfulness as I remembered each impossible thing I had to do to escape the dinosaur.

One of those tasks to escape the dinosaur was to run up a destroyed 3 story building and hide behind the small walls that remained while the dinosaur was just outside the building.

At the end of the dream I was in a line with a child missing his parents and I told him that his parents where still at their cousins house. I then imagined his parents killed by a group of adults and their corpses burnt so I believe that in the dream I was lying.

"Whoever fights monsters should see to it that in the process he does not become a monster. And if you gaze long enough into an abyss, the abyss will gaze back into you."

I get home from school and my dad brings out an old puppet that he says is decently creepy. This worries my sister a little bit but I am quite curious what he will bring out.
First he brings out the body which is in a blue puffy costume, like a clown outfit, and it starts to walk around on it's own a little and that makes me sister gasp in surprise, but I'm laughing at how awkward it looks while trying to walk around.

Then my dad finds the head of the puppet and right when he puts the head on the puppet changes completely and I have a feeling that the puppet is all wrong. My sister is already gone, and my dad disappeared somewhere but I hear my sister screaming. The puppet's body becomes very skinny and long and black, I don't know what it's face was like, or even the back of it's head for some reason, even in the dream I couldn't see it correctly.

Right when it gets it's head it changes it's movements as well and I keep forgetting that the puppet is actually a puppet and not a real human, and every time I remember that its a puppet I get very surprised. It starts talking but I have no idea what it was saying, I don't think it was even words, just the feeling of it talking and it's general calm composure. The screaming at this point gets higher pitched.

My dream ends when it's dancing around for some reason and I hug it to show that I accept it as a person and that I'm not afraid of it. But right when I do the live face of the puppet becomes dull and his hand that is hugging me and patting me on the back feels cold and dead, like a piece of porcelain being hit against my bones. That horrified me and woke me up for quite some time.

At the end I couldn't hear anything except for screaming and the knocking of the cold hand against me.

      1. Kazemaru and Hiroto (from Inazuma Eleven) lying on their backs fully clothed in a made-up bed. It was kind of like they were on stage, you could ‘feel’ the audience’s assumption, but when the characters open their mouth and say something deadpan, it turns into a comedy when you realize what’s going in, and everyone laughs.

      2. I thiiink the setting was like in a cave on slab-like beds and maybe it was in a game. We were ‘watching’ some Saw-like horror movie. When I saw a character holding a device that cut out tongues (looked like a tongue cleaner), I had to bury my head under something. I remember at one point I ‘swam’ through the tunnels. I think I realized there was no water, and that’s when some seemed to appear to carry me. That’s when it seemed like in a game somehow.

      3. Rane came in while I was on the computer, asking for help. I scrolled through an area in Firefox like ‘Group Your Tabs’, only I was scrolling through my tab pages like a picture slideshow. I was trying to find a ‘safe’ page to open and leave it on. Near the beginning, I passed by a page thumbnail showing a chest-up hentai girl with orange hair. I remember thinking that how would Rane know that was one of my pages, I could be anywhere on the net and it could be someone else’s content.

~Dipping a finger in creamer and tracing it around text on a yellow sticky note. Rane says “you’re weird”. I realize that I had used my dad’s French vanilla creamer instead of my own.

I walk into a new room and realize that mom is the one who needed the help. She wanted me to get her some corn, and ‘milk instead of water’ (or the other way around).

I... have this strong wish to transform everyday images, the sporadic imagined ones and the thoughts that go along with them, into.. well a dream like the ones at night: into a (visual) manifestation of all the thoughts, wrapped into a whole dream world. I know this is what happens at night, but I seem to be looking out the other end of my subconscious then, and not back onto my everyday life. I want this simple transformation of thoughts into images, essentially into actual daydreams, something that seems to be suppressed in most people generally, and inhibited further through tension and stress etc.
The way I picture it is that I take some Choline, (in some idyllic place or peaceful room), and then start consciously molding my imagination once it comes, expanding fragments behind mere thoughts into lively (as in subtly changing) images, creating spaces beyond all these compressed thoughts and impressions of the day.
Unfortunately I don't dare touch my Choline when I'm under stress, which I always am, and loosen the inhibited images out of hiding, because I fear.. hallucinations. That's what I fear.
My dreams at night are pretty harmless so I don't understand this fear.

But supposing it would actually release such things as visions of horror and violence - are these bad for you?
Because with this issue in particular I feel that dreams are not just dreams.

    15. Nightmares I can't wake up from.

      by , 03-27-2013 at 11:14 PM
      __________________________________________________ __________________________________________________ __________________

I can't exactly remember how the nightmare began, as far as I can remember it started fairly normally. I was stumbling around some cave or pipeline with a friend of mine. We are pushing each other and joking around while going further into the tunnel, neither of us had any source of light. I think it was a some sort of dare that both of us had to keep going until either the tunnel ended, or the other got scared and surrendered. We continue walking for several minutes while laughing and asking each other "Are you scared yet?" Eventually the tunnel suddenly dropped, which in the darkness we were unable to see. My friend fell down what I can only assume to be a very large hole of some sort. I remember yelling "I got you bro I'm coming down!" at which point I believe I slid head first into the whole, the sensation of falling and me feeling of weightlessness making me sick which in every other dream has woken me up.

It's not so much as 'waking up' as it is a sudden transition. I'm laying face down in a large puddle of what I assume to be dirty water, maybe oil. I hear the hissing of steam as I try to stand. I look around the room and I find I am in a boiler room of some sort. There is some sort of cable box, or breaker box on the wall hooked up to several long steel cables that extend into the wall. Horizontally above the box I see a large series of pipes that go all around the room and eventually out above the door through a small window-like slit. It occurs to me that if I fell and woke up in the room then my friend must be there as well. I look around the room and see a large pile of filth, various garbage, old food, cans, and such. I look above me and see nothing but the ceiling and a small sprinkler in the center of the room. One of the pipes is cracked, there's steam coming out of it and I could feel the heat from where I was laying. I stand and try to collect my thoughts, I remember clearly thinking "Something is wrong here, how did I get here? Where is my friend? What's going on?". I'm not sure what compels me to do it but I grabbed a rusty pipe laying in the puddle near where I was laying. I stumble around and eventually get out of the room and to my left see nothing but darkness, and to my right the same.

There is a small gap in the dream I can't remember but the next thing I can recall is staring at a monster similar to http://bit.ly/14ucBj1 It was at least 6.6 feet tall. The only main difference from the picture is I remember it had no skin and I could see its muscles flex and strain with every movement as well as it being covered in blood and gore. Not to mention it was incredibly terrifying to see in the 'flesh' so to speak. I see my friend laying on a table with his chest and stomach cut open in a diagonal line and it's clear to me that he is dead. I'm sitting in the furthest corner from the door, the creature and my friend are in the other side of the room in the opposite corner. There's a single support pillar in the middle of the room, several power tools as well as surgical tools scattered around the room. A large steel cabinet is to my left against the wall while I hide in a pile of garbage. My left arm hurts significantly and I know its been cut deep by what I assume must have been glass. I watch the monster cut up my friends body piece by piece, arms, legs, head etc... It spans for well over what feels like twenty minutes before the creature finishes with what it was doing and leaves the room.

I wait several moments before standing and trying to dig my way out of the garbage I'm crouched in. As I get up I feel something cut my chest just below my left shoulder. I can physically feel it cutting into my skin and the feel of the foreign object in my body as well as the blood run down my torso. I don't have a shirt on and am only wearing jeans. While moving the garbage to get out most of it clatters loudly to the floor and I'm sure the monster is going to come back in to kill me. I run to where my friends mutilated body are and simply stare at it for several moments. The shock of seeing him dead is overwhelming and I begin crying. I grab a bloody scalpel from the table and swear to kill the monster.

I hide behind the door and wait for my moment to strike the demon, it feels like eternity while I feel my heart pounding in my chest and adrenaline running through my veins. Eventually I hear the monsters thundering footsteps approach the door I take a deep breath and hold it for fear of it knowing of its impending attack. It slowly stumbles through the door while forcing the door open with its shoulder, its hunched over and seems to be carrying something in its 'hands?'. It stops in the middle of the room half way to the table. The stress of waiting becomes to much as I yell as loud as I can in rage and charge it, jumping on its back locking my legs around its waist, wrapping my left arm around its neck and pulling its head towards me exposing its throat. Since it has no skin I can see the muscles flex and strain as I drag the knife across its throat, it gurgles and thrashes around the room blindly trying to get me off it. I repeatedly stab it in the throat and chest as it rams its back against walls frantically trying to stop me. One of the impacts takes my breath away and I lose my grip, I fall to the floor and backpedal as fast as I can while it continues thrashing around. I am terrified as I once again clench the scalpel in my hand, it turns to face me as I stand as fast as I can to charge it, I jump and tackle it while stabbing its throat repeatedly before finally burying the knife in its heart.

It stops moving and I am so happy that I oddly feel like crying. I kick its body several times in different spots to make confirm its death before rushing to the steel cabinet to try to find something to help me escape this place. I throw open the doors and see very little of value aside from a few gears and a single flashlight. I take the flashlight and check to make sure it works which it does. I sigh in relief as I finally have a way to see in the dark. At that time I begin hearing a strange noise behind me, a sick gurgling and growling . I turn to see the monster getting back up. I scream in terror as I realize I didn't kill it. The thought struck me that NOTHING can survive having its throat cut open and its heart severed. I hesitantly close my eyes and bring my hand up to my nose. I pinch my nose and try to breath which I can. I realize its a dream and begin laughing. Everything begins coming into more focus as well as the smell of rotting meat and garbage. The pain in my arm and chest return full force, I clutch my chest trying to breathe as my breath catches in my throat.

It's rare that I ever perform a reality check and realize its a dream without waking me up, yet alone feeling very real pain. The monster at this point is crouched and trying to get to its legs. I grab a nearby pipe laying on one of the shelves in the cabinet and run as fast as I can to bash it in the face repeatedly with the improvised weapon. I hit it as hard as I can and continue to for several minutes until I feel exhausted. I turn on the flashlight and run out the door and into the hallway as fast as I can. I sprint down the hallway for what feels like hours until I encounter the boiler room I first 'woke up' in. I frantically run in, slam the door shut and put the pipe in between the handle and the door frame so the door can't be opened from the outside. I go to the wall farthest from the door and sit against it. I can still feel the absolute terror from merely glancing at the monster, I'm breathing so fast I think I might be hyperventilating I try to catch my breath while I think. "This is a dream, I can just wake up." I yell out loud "Wake up!" but nothing happens. I get chills all along my body and goosebumps on my arms. I continue yelling "Wake up!" growing increasingly panicked as nothing changes aside from giving myself a headache from the noise. I can hear the monsters thundering footsteps as it slowly walks down the hall, whether from the injuries I gave it or to taunt me, to show me I was trapped I didn't know. I briefly entertained the thought of taking one of the sharper pieces of garbage in the corner and slitting my own throat to wake up. I had died in previous dreams and simply woke up out of breath. The thought struck me "What if I kill myself and I don't wake up?" my heart nearly stops as I try to figure out whats happening.

The creature at this point tries to open the door via the handle but fails to. It begins banging on the door, the only thing separating myself from certain death. I begin panicking trying to will myself to wake up or change dream scenes. I yell "Go away! You're not real! I want to wake up now! Something! Anything happen please!" The door at this point explodes outward and I feel the shrapnel bury itself in my chest, though it doesn't hurt, it feels like I'm going into shock. I can feel it in my chest but it doesn't hurt. I force myself to stand and face the demon who is slowly approaching me. I stare it straight in its 'face?' and laugh at it. I calmly state that it can't hurt me. "Your not real. You can't hurt me. I control this dream. I created you. You will go away." It merely lets out a rumbling laugh and literally growls "No". I attempt to run behind it only to have it corner me. I yell "This isn't real! I will wake up now!" "WAKE UP!". I Swear it appears amused as I continue to shout, pleading with the world to allow me to wake up. It moves towards me at a snails pace while I fall and try to somehow bury myself in the wall behind me to escape it. It breaths loudly and I can smell rotting meat as it continues to laugh. One final time I barely whisper "your not real, you can't hurt me." It grabs my arms and pulls me towards it before burying its teeth in my throat. I feel no pain but can feel its teeth beneath my skin, and flesh gets ripped off.

I wake up with my heart pounding in my chest so hard it hurt and my cat meowing as it stared at me. I glance at the clock see it is 3:33 A.M. and know I will not be sleeping for the rest of the night, hoping I would forget the entirety of the nightmare.
