Morning of October 25, 2017. Wednesday. There are two types of dream scenarios influenced by the “Supernatural” television series; ones in which I am “in” the show’s world (without realizing that it is fiction) and ones in which I am aware of the Winchesters as their real-life counterparts as actors and on the set of the show or another location. This dream is of the former type; I am “in” the world where “Supernatural” is imagined as “real”. Sam and Dean, and apparently their father, have discovered a portal to another world, though it is more like a pocket universe in the form of a large cave. They need to retrieve something deeper within the cave, such as important maps or other documents and possibly treasure. There are unusual features related to working near the opening of this cave. There is a small pond as well as some sort of dynamic staircase that rises from the pond and which changes in position and orientation (including upside-down). At one point, there are very loud footsteps and vibrations that imply a giant anthropomorphic creature approaching the mouth of the cave from inside; a giant manlike beast that wakes up when the portal is open, apparently preventing people from going farther into the cave, though I never see this giant. They close the portal for a time, though I decide to run off and hide in an orange grove. I think about which orange tree would be the most suitable to hide behind. At this point, it seems like the orange grove across the street from my Cubitis home (where I have not lived since 1978), which then implies that the portal was in about the center of the Cubitis living room, bilocated as such (environmental bilocation being a very common aspect of my dreams since childhood, yet of which I hardly ever see other people write about). Absentmindedly, I go back to the location where Sam and Dean are. They seem very cheerful. They have an unusual advantage now. There are two living idols that are on our side of the portal that are preventing two smaller living idols from going back into the entrance of the cave. The smaller ones are only about a foot high and the other two about two feet in height. They look somewhat like Maori idols. I watch the smaller two try to get back into the cave, but they eventually give up because of the larger two guarding it. They then go to a playground and have fun sliding down the slide, exclaiming “wee” and giggling. I watch the activity of these unusual living statues for a few minutes. Sam and Dean are now getting what they want from the cave. The giant will sleep when the two small idols are not present inside. He could not possibly wake up otherwise. From here, I absentmindedly wander off into a featureless field (a common liminal space setting in my dreams, especially in the last scene), which seems to be at night. A beautiful young girl approaches though I do not fully recognize her as a young version of Zsuzsanna (even though she is, though my conscious self identity is still subliminal and my non-lucid dream self amnesiac and of fictitious dynamics). We hug and kiss but she says something about needing to go somewhere. I assume I will see her again later as my dream fades. Since early childhood, other than literal prescience (including biological foreshadowing as well as premonitory factors of the waking jolt itself) and many other literal features, my dreams have easily been seen as mostly being about dreaming and waking in real time (and the symbolism as such, obviously as it is a mental process in real time) rather than the nebulous and ill-informed concept of “interpretation” that many people believe in for whatever reason. The same is true for this dream. The cave represents the status of being unconscious (including the redundant factor of a dream as if of “another world” that “hides” the conscious self identity) as well as deeper levels of memory (validated by the Cubitis setting, not seen in real life since 1978). The four idols represent dynamics of the reticular activating system, which mediates the level of consciousness (and is responsible for the nature of waking symbolism, sometimes utilizing real-life environmental ambiance or physical discomfort of sleeping position). The two smaller idols (emergent consciousness factors, unfeasibly otherwise modeled after the preconscious, representing the two brain hemispheres) need to be present to activate waking, yet the two larger idols (dream-based figures representing my subliminal desire to sleep longer) prevent them from causing the giant to wake. The two smaller idols still playfully simulate waking (to indicate that waking up is not so bad) by playfully going down the slide, which is akin to the common biological falling sensation of waking. After this, a young Zsuzsanna (mostly as she appeared when we first met in real life, though she is wearing slacks and a blouse) is rendered as the emergent consciousness factor to “try again”. This time, coalescence waking symbolism is the key and the feasible result, which symbolizes both my dream self’s coalescence back into my conscious self identity, my link to the familiar, and the dawning of conscious self identity recognition, which is not present in many dream states. “Beyond the Martian Time Barrier / The Martian Casket” from 1973 is a very good example of the same core symbolism. The status of sleeping and waking bilocated in the center of the Cubitis living room in mostly the same way, though in that dream, REM sleep was also symbolized as the “sleeping” Martian’s eyes being seen to move realized as being mine as reflected back. In that case, there was not an additional waking symbolism segment as here, as it was not needed.
Key: Side Notes (Side Notes) Title Dream Lucid "Welcome to Hell"I was at school on the sidewalk, there was a bus in front of us. I believe I went on it for a short while but got off. It looks like a death trap, Lexi got on, I could've warned her. A guy gets on and he has a stereotypical surfer voice and says "Wow! Cool!" The Bus Driver then closes the door, the bus starts to float in midair and he says "Welcome to hell." (?) The Bus starts to squish itself and it's inhabitants. There's nothing left, it went into nothingness. I think 'Father...' (I guess in my dream the bus driver was my father.) Later in the dream, i'm standing at the end of the side walk. I can catch my bus, it is okay. 'Not my bus, Not my bus' I think. I wave to a bus. All of the buses passed, a blonde haired lady appears (looks like Mrs.R) tells me "Your bus was in the back with the handicapped buses." She helps me find my bus, we end up by stairs by a place that looks like the Lower Gymnasium at my school. There is this Black Kid who is exactly my height, he's naked. I ask "How old are you?" He tells me he is 9 and a half. Fragment The Fire Nation is in the dream and there was a Giant Dude. (?) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Those were the only dreams I could remember from last night, it's crazy how 90% of my dreams are about School yet I can't recognize that as a dream sign. I think I had a False Awakening last night so i'll put that down in the Global Category. July 24th, 2017
I didn't journal on here yesterday because it wasn't interesting enough to report (still wrote it down in my paper journal, though!). Last night, however, was very interesting. I'm walking down the hall of a large mansion (you know, the stereotypical haunted house kind of place) with a rather large group of people. On one side of me is a woman with fiery red hair swept up in a messy bun, and on the other side is Owl. Something doesn't seem right about this, and I start questioning my reality, trying to remember how I had gotten here. I need no reality check this time, as I suddenly remember the last thing I had done is gone to bed. This has to be a dream! The lucidity is really strong. I laugh softly to myself, touching the wall, my clothes, everything, marveling at how real everything feels. I stay calm, repeating "this is a dream" in my mind, trying to stay conscious. I look over to Owl, and half-hoping she's real, I whisper to her, "Do you know you're dreaming?" She doesn't respond, looking straight ahead as she walks. Definitely not Owl. It's much harder than I expect to stay conscious. I feel really tired, and want to go back to "sleep", but my resolve is fairly strong. Because of this tiredness, however, I feel as if I have no energy to try and go anywhere else. I decide to stay in this dream and see how it plays out, because I'm very curious. The group ends up in this big room. A voice booms out from above. I no longer remember the exact words, but the voice says we have all been selected to perform a task. Once our task has been explained, all of us are transported to our respective locations. I think I lose lucidity for a while, because I don't remember the task (I do become aware again after this). I'm on a beautiful terrain of flatland grass, the occasional tree. The sky is bright and blue, but no sign of a sun or any light source. I travel this way for a while, all alone, in wonder at the lovely sights, shouting "clarity" whenever my vision starts to fade (I have problems with going blind in lucid dreams). Eventually I become bored with traveling and summon a video-game style map to go somewhere else. The only location on the map is a fortress, so I tap on the image and go there (This is how I move around, usually. My gamer brain understands a digital interface best). The fortress is huge, meant for someone much larger than I, but also run down, crumbling. I decide to explore the outside first before going inside. Then, suddenly... "Hey!" I turn at the sound of my name. A man is running toward me with a smile on his face -- it's Denarius! [ Denarius is the name of a dc I've seen in many dreams.] I haven't seen Denarius ever in forvever so I'm surprised, but not so happy, to see him. He did leave me when I asked for him, so I did not forget that. It's nice to see a familiar face, all the same. First thing he says after this is "So you're stuck here too? I got bored with my task but couldn't leave this place, so I decided to search for familiar faces. I'm happy to see you!" He babbles on and on, but then I say, "You LEFT me." That shuts him up quickly. His gaze drops to the ground. "We shouldn't talk about that here." I continue to question him about our last meeting, and how he brushed me off so easily, and how I haven't heard from him in months, but he keeps evading my probing, as if he's afraid. Keeps saying he can't talk about it. I give up on getting any information from him and idly chat. I enter the fortress. The layout is insane, very hard to navigate, but I manage. At this point, I lose lucidity, so I barely remember it, but there are many people in this fortress, it's no where near abandoned. Some things happen but it's all so blurry. Denarius leaves at some point, distinctly saying we'll see each other soon. I become frustrated at not being able to complete my task. Somehow, this frustration makes my brain click together again; oh yeah, I'm dreaming! I recall I'm supposed to be performing a task here, but what? What was it? I exit the fortress, annoyed. I have the sudden realization that I'm probably oversleeping right now. This dream has gone on a long time, something isn't right. I try to wake myself up, but I'm scoffed at from a voice from above. That's when a huge creature crashes out of the fortress: twice my size, humanoid but so animal at the same time, with huge armor and angry orange eyes. It has its eyes trained on me. Oh, no. I have no idea what to do, how to fight something so monstrous. The creature is chasing me around, and I'm running as fast as I can. It ends up catching me, starting to strangle me, but I can breathe just fine. I once again remember this is a dream, and my options for ending this creature are endless. I struggle out of its grasp and intuitively focus all of my energy into my hands. My hands start to glow and grow warm. I channel all this energy between my two palms, making a huge ball of heat. I release the energy, the ball catches fire and hurls at the creature. The fireball makes contact with the creature. Instead of it catching fire...it immediately disintegrates into black ash. I realize my task has been completed, and I wake up. And just as I thought, I overslept. It was 1pm when I finally awakened.

Outpost on an alien planet I see two soldiers walking through a desert on an alien planet. They pass by an old human outpost. My vision goes to the outpost. Looks like no one has been here in centuries. There are two black pods on the yard. Looks like they dropped from space. Lights on one of the pods is blinking. Something inside is still alive and trying to get out. The female soldier passing by notices this too. "I hope they make it out. Fight." she says without stopping. Forest of Giants I see a group of humanoids traveling through an alien forest. The trees look like redwood trees, but they are over 160 meters tall and fairly wide. I recognize two of the DCs: Storm from the X-men movies (Halle Berry) and Jason Momoa. The group is trying to sleep when a T-rex appears from the forest. Storm wakes Jason up and asks him to help. He looks groggy, but gets up without a word and walks to his own dinosaur pet, a raptor that's only slightly taller than him. He takes a dagger made of dinosaur claw from his bag and rips two large metal pieces from an abandoned car to work as weapons. The T-Rex has transformed into a giant man with a greatsword. The 80 meter tall man looks like Yondu from GotG. Jason drops the metal pieces, won't be of use against a giant sword. I become Jason and the dream turns first person. I jump away from Yondu. I go to the nearest tree with my superhuman jumps and with two more jumps I climb 100 meters. Yondu misses his first swing at me while I jump up. Seeing the sword up close is terrifying. It looks like Frostmourne without the blue glow. I jump off the tree and try to land on Yondu. He swings the sword again and barely misses. My heart nearly stops, but I land on Yondu and my poisoned dagger sinks into him. He is paralyzed and falls down. I make several long cuts on him with the dagger, making sure he won't get up ever again. I walk back to the group. Storm thanks me.
Went to sleep and dreamt of being in a bunk bed like when I was a kid. It was incredibly vivid. It felt very oppressive in the pitch dark, closed in by darkness and silence in the room. (When I was a kid and lived in the countryside it was silent and pitch dark at night). I could then see myself 3rd person view from above, looking stark white in the dark of the room, huddled up. In my head I was thinking "come on bring it on, do you worst!" whatever you are. And tensed for something to strike me. Nothing happened. It was all so vivid and intense that when I woke, my mind was awake but i was still half a sleep. So when I went straight back to sleep I was lucid. I was inside a broken down school, there was a dark corridor with a pipe broken spraying water everywhere and broken masonery. Two boys in green school uniform were heading towards me, hands in pockets. I thought to myself last time I was lucid I couldn't control much, so I took direct action. Grabbing the first boy that came towards me by the face, I said take me to see the person I want to see, now! He didn't have much say in the matter, looking at me wide eyed, he complied. We moved on and through some double doors met a giant man about 8 to 9 feet tall, wearing a blue medical gown. We were now in a hospital. He was blind and I could see wounds where his eyes had been. He was very strong, I could feel power pouring from him and without speaking I went with him (there was no need to speak). We went along a corridor which which led into the front reception area of a large hospital. There a large number of patients were sat in wheelchairs, in front of a row of glass doors to the exit. The sun was shinning brightly into the entrance foyer. The person I wanted to see was there in the closest wheelchair, her hair was fine and blonde hanging straight, she wore a silky white robe. She got up from the wheelchair and took my hand. The giant took my other hand and we left the hospital and went out into the sun. The site before me I will never forget. The sky , a beautiful greek blue, and the sun dazzling. Above was the most amazing site, towering dizzily high above me was an immense floating castle. The highest towers were in the shape of gigantic eagles. All parts of the tower were so black that it was almost hypnotic to look at them. I don't know if they were black because of the shadow from the bright sun or something else. We flew together up, higher and higher with a feeling of great power, security and happiness washing over me. The giant was in the lead pulling me higher, then me, then she. We went higher and higher, this bit went on for a long time, hard to describe but it was wonderful Had two false awakenings where I tried to write dream up in journal, but was only dreaming it lol

I am running through a forest. People say I will be caught by police but take no heed. I come to a hill. The is not a hill, but a giants head. It starts attacking me. A character helps me to astral project and says "Be careful, the astral plane is very close to the dream plane" I am now in third-person perspective. I am not the dreamer and I am lucid. I have no power though. I try and shift a red button which represents lucidity onto 'me'. It works! My character kills it successfully and lands down. I 'wake' and record it in a DJ. However I look at my watch and it has gone crazy! I am lucid. Thoughts: I think this might be a new to way to become lucid.

Not a whole lot recalled this morning, but certainly a bizarre one either way. But first...a not so bizarre one! I was being made fun of by yet another guy I knew from high school. Accurately to real life, this was a guy who used to make fun of me back in the day. However, it appears my dream self is feeling awful pissed off and courageous lately! In the middle of making fun of me, I turn from my locker, walk up to him, and punch him square in the jaw. He fell on the floor, unconscious. All around me were hushed gasps. I turned to the head adult in the room and began ranting like crazy. "You have to understand, this has been going on for ages now, and none of you do ANYTHING about it. What am I supposed to do? Just sit here?? No! I won't! I refuse! I'm not going to stand for this crap anymore! ... I'm starting to notice a recurring trend in my latest dreams: A lot of random people I knew in my high school keep showing up, and often times it ends up being people who I really disliked back in the day, often due to them making fun of me. What's the significance? Not sure. But it definitely keeps happening! And as you can see...my dream self is SICK of it. Now for the strange one! Guess what? It involves another high schooler I knew, only this one thankfully wasn't one I hated. AND YET. He was the cause of conflict in this dream. I was in a pretty big town, standing outside. The sun was setting, but it was very cloudy, giving the sky a dull look. The guy I mentioned, call him N, comes up to me and says he has to stop me. "Stop me? What did I do?" His response? Well, just what you'd expect. He shouted and grew 50ft in size. Must have woken up on the wrong side of the bed that morning. Despite the oddness of the situation, I was quite reasonably freaked out! I screamed and ran as fast as my legs could carry me, N stomping his way behind me, each footstep an earthquake. That's all I can recall on that one. It's like all my high school memories are coming back to get me...
Been having trouble remembering my dreams now that I've started working, when I'm really overtired (I was extremely fatigued all of yesterday) my dreams become more random. They seem to change scenes more often and have more abstract stuff going on that makes little sense, often with characters changing unnoticeably as well. Dream I remember having some random conversation with a bird and a snake, and someone else might have been there too. The bird was a bit like a pelican, and the snake wore a skin that changed its appearance. We were conversing about uhh.. Oral sex. I think someone said the pelican has the perfect mouth shape for maximum range to perform oral on the ladies, this didn't seem to make sense until I looked at its face. Its beak was practically in the shape of a vj so I was like 'hmm ok well I guess that makes sense?' (like I said, lots of random shit in dreams where I'm overtired). Eventually the pelican and snake do a sort of 'fusion' technique, the snake is sitting inside the mouth of the pelican without its skin on making him transparent. When the pelican opens its mouth it can unleash its poison attack (literally just a snake in its mouth that bites people, it's not even attached). I think there's the ocean next to us, we're inside a big room though, with a high ceiling. Something happens and now we're facing this huge giant, he reminds me of Groot but he isn't a tree at all. It keeps on growing bigger and bigger, sucking the energy out of this person who we were apparently with the whole time. It's a girl and she has a huge mana source in her, she seals it off with these bracelets to stop the world around her from absorbing her powers (from a story I was reading before bed). The Groot giant stops growing, it's a little late though since he's already like 15 metres tall -.-... We're running around trying not to die, there's something else about a crocodile that was similar to what Archer said: "Gee, I don't know, Cyril. Maybe deep down I'm afraid of any apex predator that lived through the K-T extinction. Physically unchanged for a hundred million years, because it's the perfect killing machine. A half ton of cold-blooded fury, the bite force of 20,000 Newtons, and stomach acid so strong it can dissolve bones and hoofs." I have to run up a hill (that's inside the room we're in) to get away from either the giant or crocodile. There's a lot of dinosaurs around me now, but they're super tiny. I kick one. It shoots off and hits a door on the other side of the room, I think the girl with the mana is hiding in there otherwise the giant will be able to get her mana or something. I'm at the top of the hill and I jump down back to the floor, my friend is in front of the giant now (my friend is a human that I don't recall being here before but was apparently in the story the whole time.. dream logic?). The giant attacks him, *SLAP* *SLAP* oh no! Two slaps to the face, but my friend is fine. I guess it's because the giant is smaller now? He must be running out of magic, my friend seems unphased. At some point the giant chases me, except now it's a skeleton zombie thing that apparently had both of its arms ripped off during the fight with my friend (I don't think he actually did though). He's shambling around dangerously trying to whack me with his head, mouth agape in his undead stupor.

Dream 1 - Elf + giant? Elf + giant, transform during drought. They're farmers, the giant is a blonde girl. Moving out, building dream lake house (future). Some kind of dark evil re-awakens.. Okay so this directly what I wrote down during the night. I think it was night time in the dream with a grassy landscape dotted with some trees. I moved out towards a lake area and began constructing a 'dream house' in my mind, thinking about how I'd like it. But this occurs more than once hence the 'future' remark, indicating that the scene occurred twice. Once was when I visited and saw the house, the other happened after when I returned to the present tense to imagine the dream house that would be there in the future. I can't recall anything about the elf and giant though... Dream 2 - Rocky Balboa Rocky training, wine? Okay so this was pretty vague... I watched the first Rocky movie and the dream was influenced by it, I had a 'training montage' where I was seeing Rocky Balboa training or something. Then I think I was drinking wine? I think this was 3 days ago?
Morning of November 8, 2015. Sunday. In the first part of my dream, I am riding in a helicopter (with an unknown male pilot) with my wife Zsuzsanna, seemingly late at night. The view is peaceful. Later, I am in a very unusual setting that is seemingly bilocated with my Cubitis backyard (where I have not been since July of 1978), implied to be where the back part of the shed would have been, though with a very different perspective. I am mainly only aware of a singular huge monolith. There are several roads going straight up the monolith and it looks like some sort of mining operation where perhaps they are mining the top of the monolith. Fairly heavy traffic occurs on a few sides, going both straight up and straight down, all the vehicles defying gravity. From here, the vividness intensifies, although I now seem like an immense giant (nearly as tall as the monolith) with the cars, trucks, and utility vehicles only about half the length of a finger (by my perspective only - they are still “real” vehicles and people implied to be at a normal size other than only suggested as miniature relative to the scale of my backyard), though I can still see all the intriguing clear detail, including the beams of the headlights and such. It all looks amazing. The depth perception is also enhanced and the awareness of distance at a very large scale seems quite “realistic”. I watch the activity and seem to float around for several minutes. In the last segment, I decide to play around with the scene (even though I am not lucid in any way). I focus on one silvery-gray pickup truck going straight up the side of the monolith and nearing the top and I mentally make it “come off the wall”, so that it then just falls backwards from off the vertical road. I anticipate a fiery explosion on the ground below as I watch it fall (about three feet away from my giant’s perspective), but that does not happen. It just hits the ground upside-down with a metallic crunch. This is disappointing but my dream starts to fade from here.
Morning of July 5, 2015. Sunday. Dream #: 17,730-02. Reading time: 1 min 52 sec. In real life, I had been working on a document about prescience in dreams regarding details from April 9 (1970-1990) that preceded my marriage on April 9 in 1994, sometimes integrated with a curious unrelated influence from television (which probably relates to prescient awareness of potential broadcasts and pop culture trends). In my dream, I am living on Loomis Street, and I am about twelve years of age. My sister is alive and rather young (mostly as she appeared in 1967, though I was six years old then). I do not recognize how wrong the setup and perspective is though I consider that something is different. Being about twelve, but still active in dream research, I am puzzled by an “empty dream journal” supposedly started when I was about four years old. There was not always enough paper to write on, so I used my sister’s copies of Mad Magazine to write in, in any blank space, as well as older issues of Dig and Help! I get an impression that having records since birth relates to my “destiny,” and I decide to copy some dreams into the issue of Mad Magazine that is otherwise free of handwritten lines. I briefly recall the wedding date. I think about how impersonal the “dream journal” (Mad Magazine) is. I know that the April 1967 Mad Magazine cover (date, not time of printing) has a clue for me regarding Yin and Yang, Corona Borealis and Corona Australis, and similar concepts. The cover features Alfred E. Neuman with a blue magnet, and under that is the reverse, a red one coming up from below, suggesting a pull (from an unseen “opposite” persona or character) from the “other side,” for me, a play on blue American mailboxes and red Australian mailboxes. I talk to my sister for a short time saying that I did not know this magazine existed as such. (I have no concept or memory of “Yin” other than the date relevance of September 13). I continue to write in it, one to two lines on at least six pages, now seemingly unrelated to dreams, but perhaps questions. I think about the cover and how only I could understand its connections to my life. I transition to a dream type that mostly only occurred around age five; being in a world of giants. I sometimes dreamt of adults and children older than me as towering over me. In this case, a tall African woman (or spirit) in traditional tribal dress seemingly speaks to me in modern English or at least cheerfully communicates. Although we are indoors, she seems about twenty feet tall or more. I am of the correct size, but tiny in contrast to the setting. Next, after some ambiguous abstract scenes, is a situation where a friendly dog approaches me.

This lucid is from an afternoon nap on November 30th, 2014. Color legend: Non-dream Dream Lucid Lucid #257: The Word of Power I’m participating in an extreme sport where I have to walk along a skinny white railing, then jump and rope-swing onto the surface of a yacht over and over again. The crowd goes crazy every time that I do this! Oop, now I’m in a stone chamber below some kind of battle arena, dressed in a badass robotic exoskeleton. Apparently all of that was just training for an upcoming combat. There’s some other exoskeleton-clad guy here who looks like Kevin Durant, and I apparently believe he’s my partner. There’s a grimy mechanic here (an attractive, dark-haired woman in her late 30s) attaching a minigun to his suit. Kevin Durant hoots with joy and sprays gunfire around the room, shouting about what a genius the mechanic is and how much ass he’s going to kick in the upcoming battle. The mechanic smiles in amusement and calmly walks out of the chamber. All of the action gets me all excited too and somehow it occurs to me that this is like a dream, bringing me into lucidity. The presence of the Kevin Durant character fades and all I can think about is testing out this suit I’m wearing. I wonder whether it has a “bull charge” feature that lets me go charging forward to crash into stuff and whoooosh, there I go! I smash into one of the chamber’s stone walls. (The dream’s frame rate drops dramatically as I do this.) There’s a large button on the wall, and I throw a punch at it. Satisfyingly, it lights up when I hit it! I go back and forth, crashing into the walls of the chamber until I’m pretty happy with this feature. At some point I notice a huge bearded guy (probably about 10 feet tall) standing in the middle of room in handcuffs, looking surly. I think that he’s supposed to be some kind of sparring partner, so I throw a completely guilt-free punch at him. It just taps him, though, and he doesn’t react beyond shifting his surly gaze to me. I think that I need to focus my dream control more, and I remember how effective it’s been for me to vocalize my intention and sometimes even use profanity. “Yaaarrrggh!” I blubber, punching the giant in the ribs. It doesn’t feel very effective, though. I follow up with a kick to the upper thigh, loudly exclaiming... Spoiler for Very crude language: ”Buttfuck!!” as the kick lands. The strike feels really solid and forceful, and the giant grimaces before turning around and walking off. I immediately feel embarrassed that I’ll have to journal that this is how I improved my dream control and wish that I’d chosen a different word. I start investigating whether there’s a way into the main arena, and as I approach a dusty upward ramp, the dream ends.

Color legend: Non-dream Dream Lucid Lucid #249: Long Shot I’m hanging out with Dreamer in a sparsely-decorated apartment. She’s wearing a dark jumper with the hood pulled up over her head. We’re joking around and coming up with silly games and dares. Dreamer comes up with a really really crazy one that gets us laughing. Warning: It is pretty gross! Spoiler for Very gross dare -- not for the squeamish!: I’m talking to Dreamer about how I’ve got some kind of pimple on the right side of my nose. (True IWL! ) Dreamer says hey, she’s got one too and that we should have a contest where each of us pops our pimple and sees who can shoot their pimple juice the farthest. We laugh and laugh about this and finally decide to do it. We worry about what happens if the other person’s aim is bad and we accidentally pimple-juice each other. To help with this, I find a huge sheet of plexiglass for each of us to hide behind while the other person goes. As I’m setting the plexiglass up, the idea of the dare is so unbelievably disgusting that... ... I become lucid. I feel sleepy and out if it, and I tell Dreamer that I’m really happy to have become lucid so soon after going to sleep, but that I feel really groggy. We both stand up and Dreamer is super tall, easily 7 feet. We talk for a bit, my brain moving slowly during the conversation. Her accent is entirely American during the conversation, which strikes me as one of those strange details that I figure will work itself out. I finally remember my intent to do the “play a musical instrument that doesn’t exist in waking life” task and ask Dreamer if she has an instrument for me. She says, “Well, I have this violin!” She produces a violin from out of nowhere and somehow plays a few notes with no bow. Now she plucks 3 notes pizzicato. I tell her that this is cool but that we need to have an instrument that doesn’t exist in waking life. I know that I should be able to flow into the task from here but I feel really slow-witted. I get a little confused what to do next, and Dreamer walks up to me (still enormously tall) and wraps me in a hug. Since I don’t know what to do anyway, I just stay still for a moment and enjoy this. After a bit, I get the sensation of falling asleep, and … … I emerge in a false awakening in the same room. Dreamer isn’t here, but I have a vision of her sitting on the edge of a table with a model train set on it. In this mental image she’s wearing the same trackies and dark jumper from the previous part of the dream, but now she seems to be her normal height. I wander around the apartment, eventually finding the table, but Dreamer isn’t there. The dream ends fairly quickly after that.
I was floating in a red void in the 3rd person with a giant iron man in front of me. This dream was recurring, and for some reason I thought it was a nightmare, so I'd become lucid at this time, although I'd usually wake up as I did not know what you could do with lucid dreams. If I remained asleep, the giant iron man would punch me and I would begin to tumble and float to the right. I'd pass a few random objects and some sort of moaning cartoon characters before landing on a gray floor. I would see a black ghost/spectre thing, and I'd wake up a few seconds later. If you would like to see the dream, watch this video:

After a long hiatus, I can finally focus on dreaming again. 04.14.2014Giant Slayers (DILD) NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID I seem to once again be in high school, riding the bus back home. The driver gives all the students some kind of trivia assignment to be completed before leaving the bus. I have a book of facts with me that I'm using to complete the assignment. I briefly wake up as I complain (out loud) about how unfair it is to have homework on the bus. I re-enter the dream. Now I'm hanging out at my mom's house with one of the girls from the bus. She has a tattoo on her cheek. I look in the mirror, noticing that my hair is long again. When I touch it, however, it still feels short. "Why does the mirror say my hair is long when it's not?" I ask the girl, confused. She tells me that it IS long. This is when I take note of my stupidity and realize that I must be dreaming. "Oh, I get it," I tell her. "I'm dreaming." The girl gives me a doubtful look. "This is all just a dream. I can prove it to you. What should I do to prove it?" She points to a guitar behind me. "Can you play?" I look at the guitar skeptically, thinking of how musically illiterate I am. "No," I answer, "I doubt I can even play that in a dream." "Try it. I'l only believe you if you can play it. I pick up the guitar and surprisingly begin playing a really wicked tune. The girl grins, joining me with some sort of electronic instrument that she possesses. We have a really powerful jam session that has both of us really pumped up by the end. We laugh and cheer at our success. "I guess this really is a dream," the girl relents. "I guess that means you only exist in my mind," I tell her. "Or maybe we're having the same shared dream. Try to remember this later and let me know on the bus tomorrow if we're really in the same dream." (Clearly since I'm in college now, and I've never actually ever seen this girl, I have no way of knowing for sure.) We go outside, still discussing the nature of shared dreaming. I lazily levitate down the street. "Where are we going?" my companion asks me. "Who knows? But where ever we end up, it'll be an adventure," I promise. Somewhere along the line, we join with two friends, a guy and a girl. I do not know them IRL, but I seem to in the dream. We come upon a beautiful swamp-land area where we decide to explore. I marvel at how real the place is, combined with an undeniable dream haze. "It feels good to travel with a group again," I tell my friends. "Ironic, since I'm called the Loner." The forest thickens, aand we notice a huge mansion ahead. We walk onto the porch, intending to explore, when a Giant bursts from the woods. She's taller than the house--- the ground shakes with her every step. She hasn't noticed us yet. There are several large crates on the porch--- I indicate to my friends that we should hide behind them. Before we get a chance, the Giantess looks directly at us, leaning over the bannister to peer down at us with a mighty roar. "Take cover under the house!" I yell, taking my own advice. The giant crouches down, trying to grab at me from my hiding place. While her face is so low to the ground, I use the opportunity to slash at her. She manages to get away before I do much damage. I yell my plan to the others. Together, with much effort, we manage to get the Giant down on her back. I run towards her with my knife, but she has one of her own. When I hesitate to attack, she impales one of the girls I'm with. I cry out furiously, grabbing the knife from her and stabbing her face over and over again. Her face is a wreck; no longer can I even consider it a face. Blood is everywhere. It smells awful, like this sickly sweet organic matter... It's all over my hands, thick and slippery. I smirk, wondering what the Queen would think of me now. The Giantess, meanwhile, is still alive. With the help of my friends, I drag her to the nearby river to drown her. All it does is heal her face. >_< I wake up, heart pounding, the smell of her blood burned into my nostrils. 06.26.2014Yet Another Fight with a Snake Goddess (Non-lucid) NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID This seems to be a recurring theme with me for some reason. I am in an outdoors setting with my two roomates: Alex and Ninja. A large blue and black feathered snake slithers through the branches above my head, then comes to rest in a coil just in front of me. It regards me maliciously. I can tell it means to strike at any moment, so I scurry back to avoid its (likely venomous) fangs. For some reason, it seems necessary to kill this snake at all costs. I pull out my large black knife. Alex and I take turns distracting the snake while the other attacks. After we inflict a certain amout of damage, the snake transforms into a dragon/spinx-like goddess. As the goddes has wings, we must now resort to ranged weapons. We throw miniature spears at her, which serves more to fuel her temper than to actually do any damage. The angered goddess pulls out a dart gun and procedes to fire venomous darts at my companions and I. The darts take out Alex and Ninja, but I fight the effects. "Don't you know I'm the Queen of dreams!?" I shout at her. "Your darts have little effect on me!" I grab some unused darts from her, which are now more like syringes, and inject her with her own venom. Now that she's paralyzed, I somehow manage to weild an axe and chop her to pieces.
