    1. Limitless desert table

      im at a table(IT ROUND AND BLUE) with a lot of food (THE DISHES ARE WHITE AND SMALL) all by myself so im just tying everything beacuse im hungry; there these weird cake and desserts and i never get full and i can eat each dish with one bite. when i wake up IM SO HUNGRY

    2. Awesome, Achievement-Filled Adventure in Lucidland

      Awake, Non-lucid, Lucid, [Commentary made while awake]

      [Last night, I had probably the longest and certainly the most highly lucid dream I've ever had. I'm writing this at the end of the day. I tried to recall this dream as best I could upon waking, and I made some handwritten notes, but by now, although I remember the highlights of the dream, I've forgotten what order they went in and how I moved from one to the other. This is my best attempt to reconstruct the whole, long sequence, but some of these are most likely not in the correct order. I do remember that I consciously chose to move from one activity to another in the dream, though.]

      I’m in a large room with a really cool indoor playground in it. I observe that they’ve added more decorations and more play elements to the playroom since the last time I was there: there is now a long chain with brightly-colored wooden blocks in various shapes (cylinders, hexagons, and others) threaded onto it hanging across the ceiling, and there are more things to climb and play on. I climb up one of the climbing walls, along with another girl. We press against each other as we climb it.

      Later, elsewhere in the same room, I’m looking at my reflection in a mirror. I notice that my neck looks strange, and tilt my head back to see. I see that my neck appears to have been replaced with a shiny, silver metal bar that appears to be a piston.
      This causes me to realize that I’m dreaming. I pinch my nose to confirm and find that I can still breathe. The familiar sensation pleases me, and I'm very happy to be in a lucid dream. I have a slightly higher degree of lucidity than I've ever had before.

      I go outside the building. There is a grassy lawn outside it. I have a discussion of systems for play and discovery with MA
      [a real-life friend and colleague] and another dream character.

      I then decide to explore a bit. I walk away from the large building and head toward another complex of buildings that appears to be an elementary-school campus. As I start walking, I say to myself, “Again, why am I walking when I can fly?” So I start flying over there. I find a party in progress on the far side of the elementary-school campus, where there are some picnic tables. People are hanging out and drinking beer. I obtain a pint glass for myself, but leave it sitting around on or near one of the walls as I wander away.

      I see the entrance to a mall, and enter it.

      I fly up into the air to get an overview of the area. From up here, I can see that the town I'm in is on the ocean and has a beach. I think, That makes sense. Oceans and beaches are part of my schema for what a broad overview of an area of land should look like, because of where I grew up.

      I'm walking along a rolling dirt path. While walking, I eat yogurt out of a plastic cup with a metal spoon. It's raspberry-flavored and smooth and creamy, and it tastes exactly like real yogurt. Then, I find a handful of coins that someone has dropped on the side of the path, along with a bronze medallion. The medallion has some text inscribed on it that says the name of the country I'm in and what the medallion was awarded for.
      [I don't remember what it said now, although I could definitely read it in the dream, and the country name wasn't the name of any real country.] The coins are all common U.S. coins, but there's also a fifth coin, a brass-colored one that's shaped like a little house [a square shape with a pointy roof]. I pick all these items up.

      I wake up in a car with MA, JL, and one other friend. One of them is driving, and I'm in the back seat. I remember that I had just been dreaming, and pinch my nose. Yep. Still dreaming.

      While exploring the grassy, park-like area outside the building I started in, I spot a silver, metal, quarter-spherical shape rising up out of the ground. I say, “Ooh!” because I see an opportunity here. The structure is roughly the same shape as the baseball backstop I once fantasized about flying to the top of
      [see my DJ entry dated April 28, 2011], even though it's solid silver rather than chain-link, and it's maybe two-thirds to half the size of the real one. I take off and fly to the top of it, stopping myself by grabbing hold of the top edge of the hollow quarter-sphere with my hands and then swinging myself up onto it, so that I'm sitting at the top with my lower legs dangling over the edge. I'm facing a crowd of DCs standing on the ground, one of whom is a burly man who flashes me a thumbs-up sign. I proudly declare, “I'm the coolest kid in school!” The DCs seem to approve, but then they start flooding into the hollow space inside the quarter-sphere, filling the space and causing the structure to tip over backward. I climb off as it slowly tilts over, unhurt.

      Having accomplished both the old goal of flying to the top of the backstop
      [well, sorta] and my other goal of trying dream food, I say aloud, “Okay, chores over. Time to have fun.” I fly up and let the wind carry me away.

      The dream fades, and I find myself lying down. I try to move my arm, but judging by the feel of it, I realize, No, that's my real arm! I don't want to do that! [Whether or not this was actually true, I couldn't say for sure, but it sure felt like it was at the time.] After a brief moment of feeling stuck in that position and trying to figure out how to get back to exploring the dream world, I roll over and fall out of my bed. I think, Wow, that actually works! I quickly determine that I'm back to the lucid-dreaming state, and remind myself that all that's around me only exists inside my mind, as I read in EWOLD.

      I'm looking at a different, grassy lawn. There is a little red demon thingy growing out of the grass. He has red roots that run all over the surface of the lawn. I have a magic sword, so I hold it out, wondering if it'll help and what I can do with it. The demon takes the sword and kills himself by using the sword to sever all his roots. When he and his roots have all disappeared, a small chair rises up out of the plus-sign-shaped hole in the ground where he had just been. It is a reward for my defeat of the demon. I take the chair and carry it with me as I fly back over to the party, which is still in progress.

      When I get there, I use the chair to help me grab onto some structure to arrest my motion and land. Flying is easy, but stopping is hard, I think. I can't find the glass of beer I left there earlier, but I decide it's no big loss. I take my chair and sit down at the corner of one of the portable tables that are set up in the party area. I'm facing the outside wall of the elementary-school complex. Up against the wall I'm facing is another table with a clear pitcher of beer on it.

      There is another handful of coins on the table near me – again, standard U.S. coins, all of them shiny and brand-new, plus the odd house-shaped coins I saw before. I decide to swallow some of them, because I know I can't do any harm to my real body by doing so. I see another girl at my table doing the same. It feels good. I can feel them going down my throat, but the sensation seems to be weaker than would be realistic, which isn't surprising, since I haven't actually done this in reality
      [and certainly never will]. After swallowing a few coins, I decide I want more beer to go with them, so I get up and get myself another cup. The beer is cold and rich and flavorful; it tastes exactly how I like my beer to taste.

      I've run out of coins, but I still want more. I cup my hand, place it on the table palm side down, look away, and think about what I want to have happen. I feel little pops under my hand, like bursts of compressed air, as more coins pop into existence. Then I feel the coins themselves against my hand as the pile grows. I remove my hand and continue swallowing coins. I'm very pleased that I've suddenly become so good at summoning objects.

      My dad is sitting right next to me, at the end of the table, so his chair is perpendicular to mine. He sees me swallowing coins and absolutely freaks out. He recoils from me in disgust, asking me, “What are you doing?” I simply respond, in an “it's not a big deal” tone, “It won't hurt my dream body.”


      Then I woke up for real and waited while the last of the SP faded away, concentrating on remembering all that I'd dreamed about. I was very pleased to have accomplished so much and to have been lucid for so long. [In fact, I got to check two goals off the big list in my profile today: trying dream food and summoning an object. ]

    3. Scary faces

      I was in an old looking house that had many flights of stairs. It was made almost entirely of darkish brown wood, including the walls. I was with some guy and we were trying to get out of the house. We had to run down all the stairs to get to the door at the bottom. But every time you went down a staircase, a really freaky disembodied face/mask kinda thing would zoom directly at your face. It wouldn't touch you or hurt you, but they were all different and all freaky lol. The faces scared me, so I always made the guy go a bit ahead of me, and covered my eyes with my hands.

      Finally we were at the bottom and I ran out of the door first. I flopped down on my back on a patch of soft grass in front of the house. It was really sunny and warm and nice. The guy joined me soon after and laid down with his head near mine and his feet in the opposite direction. Then a girl came over wearing a rainbow sweater. She started saying things like, "Oh, this must be your time together, I'd better leave you two alone," etc and this made me uncomfortable, so to change the subject, I looked down at my shorts and said disinterestedly, "Oh, is there a cricket on me?" There actually was, so I started trying to pick it up.

      It's really different here but for some reason I feel like it was part of the same dream. I was rummaging in the fridge in some house and eating sushi and talking with a friend who was there about a new j-pop group that was debuting soon. I was saying there were too many that were all the same, and that there were always too many members, then whoever else was there said they didn't like SNSD, except very quietly and weirdly and I was like 'what?'. Then they came on TV or something. It was a group of maybe 20 japanese idols, all dressed in white on a white/silver background. One of them had blonde wavy pigtails. Then they started singing and dancing to "Special Generation" and I was like "oh...it's a cover" sounding disappointed for some reason.


      I realized later on that I'm pretttty sure the creepy faces zooming at me came from playing LSD Dream Emulator, somehow. xD I dunno, it just reminds me of it.

    4. School weed & Professor Layton

      I was in class and the teacher was calling people up to the front of the room and giving them bags of weed. You had to order it in advance, but I couldn't remember if I had and hoped I did, then she called me up and gave me one. It looked good. I sat back down at my desk next to a guy I know, HD, and was all "how is this even possible lol" and he was all "lol I dunno". I hid the bag in my shoe.

      Then I had to go home and unlock the door for 3 of my mom's friends who were coming over for some reason. One of them looked kinda like a friend of hers irl but besides that I didn't know them. I was in shorts and a t-shirt and it was snowing. When I was just about home, I realized I wasn't wearing any shoes, so I checked my backpack and the weed was in there. I put it in my pocket.

      I then saw my mom's friends getting out of a car in front of my house and realized I didn't have my keys. I walked up my driveway [which is too narrow to function as an actual driveway irl..] and saw my mom was in the car there. I was like "oh thank goodness you're still here" [??] and got keys from her. She asked what was in my pocket, and I told her it was 'Silver Streak' which was apparently a kind of chocolate. I got an image of it then even though I never actually looked at it, it was little chocolate balls/pellets in shiny silver packets, sitting in my room. Then we started talking about chocolate. She asked me how many Mars bars I had taken because she had bought some, I was like "all of them" and she was like "that's too many".

      So I opened the door for the people and went inside, but they stayed outside. I went upstairs to a window that looked down at the front of the house, and I could see them out the window, except the room was large, unfinished and completely empty. Suddenly I saw Professor Layton walk up to the house, and I knew it was because he knew I had gotten home. When he spotted me in the window, he stopped, pointed directly at me, and started yelling loudly, not words but just a constant "AAAAAAAAHHHGGHHHH". It really startled me lol and I opened the window and yelled down at the 3 other people, "Why does he always do that?!" They laughed and replied, "Maybe you'll find out."


      Sooo obvious I was dreaming in so many places lol, sucks

    5. A Notable False Awakening (Night of July 23-24)

      [This is a catch-up post. These dreams are from the night of July 23-24, 2011.]

      Awake, Non-lucid, [Commentary made while awake]

      I'm in [what I believe to be] the real-life hotel lobby where the hotel scenes from Inception were filmed. I'm appreciating how special it is to be here, in one of the filming locations for my favorite movie. [But totally failing to make the associative leap to the fact that I'm actually in a dream, myself. ] I even see Leonardo DiCaprio walk past. [*LOL* I fail at recognizing dreams...] I know that this building is located on the campus of a local private university. I look through a window and see a sign above the entrance to another building. The sign reads “(Some last name) Library.”

      I proceed through the interior of the building I'm in to the entrance of somebody’s dorm. The dorm is themed to resemble ancient Barcelona, Spain. In the dining area, I meet up with a group of my friends from real life, including SS and SH
      [who I know from completely different social groups and who don't even know each other in real life, by the way]. They're all sitting at a table, eating, and I sit down and join them. It's a Mimi's Cafe table. Several of my friends order my favorite chicken and pasta dish, the one I always order when I'm at Mimi's. Sean has to leave the meal early because he has other plans, so I get to eat his chicken. (I've just sat down, so I haven't had a chance to order my own meal.) Our conversation over dinner is being filmed for TV, and we all know it. We all get separate checks at the end of the meal.

      I wake up in my current room to light coming from under my sleep mask. I'm still sleepy, and I don't want to get up, but I get up in order to check the time. I check my watch, my cell phone, and my desk phone
      [from work], which is on my dresser. They all show the same time: it's 10:39 AM, which means I'm late for my pre-church-service choir practice. I think, It can't be that late already!, but I reason that if all three timepieces agree, then it must actually be that late. When I checked my cell phone, I saw the numbers in the hour field counting up from 2 to 10 at a rate of about 1 number per half-second, but now I rationalize this observation: It must only update the display to the current time when you pick it up and look at it.

      I go out of my house, still wearing the clothes I was wearing on Friday.
      [I had this dream on a Saturday night/early Sunday morning, and I was wearing the outfit I actually had been wearing on the Friday immediately before in real life.] I'm going outside to take out the trash. “Outside” turns out to be a narrow parking lot that surrounds a shopping center. A mother calls to her daughter, Johana. I think, That's a pretty name.

      I find a trash can at the outer edge , and empty my trash can into it. I catch a cold container of french fries as they fall from my trash can, and eat them, because I'm still running late for choir practice and don't have time for breakfast. I walk back home through one of the stores in the shopping center, past racks of CD and DVD cases.


      ...And then I woke up for real, and was pretty embarrassed. I realized that, indeed, it couldn't be that late in the morning already. If it had actually been time to get up, I would have heard the alarm on my cell phone go off, and I hadn't heard it yet.

      Side notes:

      This was my first false awakening in my new room, at my new house. It was totally convincing, especially given the fact that I really am usually a few minutes late for a lot of things. The way I totally failed to catch it, even though my phone from my desk at work was in my room at home and the numbers on my cell phone were changing, just goes to show how strong our tendency to rationalize things is. However, on a more positive note, I had this highly convincing false awakening in my new room only two weeks after I had moved into it. I think this bodes well for my mental and emotional state. It may well mean that my unconscious mind has accepted the new room as the place where I'm supposed to be when I wake up, which is great.
    6. Challenges & dreams within dreams

      Okay so I had a lot of dreams and they were crazy.


      - It was N's birthday so I drew him a picture and printed it on a bright blue t-shirt. The picture was weird and had like a hamburger and a dress on it and a bunch of other stuff. I took a picture of the shirt and sent it to him, then I realized I hadn't shown him the picture that was on the shirt yet, so I was like "oh I'll upload that now". He was collecting pictures of people's b-day presents for him and posting them on some forum, there were a lot. Later I was at the mall and thinking I should get a better shirt for the picture, and there was someone else there telling me I should.


      - I was talking to N on facebook and he had posted a slightly annoyed status, and I posted a comment and added '<33' at the end even though it didn't fit at all. I was hoping it wouldn't annoy him but I was the 4th comment and all the others had hearts at the end too. When it posted though, facebook changed the <33 to a symbol of a heart with another half-heart attached lol, like this:


      - Some evil guy had kidnapped N and me and a bunch of people and was trying to kill us. We were in this huge dark room and there was this big screen at the end that was like a portal we had to get to in order to escape. There were lots of obstacles and dangerous/painful things on the way to the portal.

      At one point we were crawling on our hands and knees across chunks of metal on a slight hill, and a girl who was also there said a word I didn't understand. I asked her what it meant and she told me it meant crawling, and was like "it hurts if you do it too long". There were other words like that too, like the other people we were with were using a bunch of slang terms I'd never heard and they'd have to explain.

      Then I was able to pause the whole scenario and draw new outfits for N and myself and then we would get them when we went back in. So I drew us these weird kinda futuristic outfits, and then decided we needed flying bikes, so I gave myself a lime green one and him a hot pink one.

      Then it went back and we were in the room again with our new outfits and bikes. N was flying way up at the very top of the room which was really tall. I was really close to the portal, so I leapt for it, and right as I was about to touch it, it suddenly went all white, then had white bars across it, then shut off, and a booming voice declared, "PORTAL DISABLED".

      The screen was on the side of a rocky cliff, and everyone looked up to the top of the cliff to see this horrible blueish sea creature/demon thing with a human face and head. The evil guy, who we couldn't see, was telling us that this monster was going to send us all through 8 challenges to be able to escape. I looked right into its eyes, and its eyes bulged way out and it shrieked loudly, and I saw this vision of how we all might die. I snapped back and realized it hadn't been real, then told N, who was beside me again, that I'd just had a dream about what was going to happen to us.

      I don't know if we did the challenges or not, because the next thing I knew, it was all over and I was talking with N [again?] in a very peaceful nice field next to a pond. It was like watching a movie at this point; I saw both of us from a third person POV, though not very clearly, and I knew everything had finished somewhat happily and it was like a nice ending scene. My hair was in a bun with a weird round clip/tie and he had some sort of nickname for me.

      Also sometime after it was over, I told him I had added the bikes at the last minute, and he said something along the lines of "hmm yeah I could tell, you should really stick to a theme" lol.


      - Then I had a false awakening and "woke up" on the couch in my cousins' house, where I was actually sleeping. I thought 'wow that dream was really intense, I should ask if he had the same one'. [I did ask later, he didn't remember his dreams.] But then there was this thing where I thought maybe he was actually one of my cousins and that freaked me out lol.

      Then my aunt was talking about how she could lucid dream, and I was like "me too!" I started trying to WILD, still in the dream, and managed to get partly into another dream a couple times, but kept getting 'woken up' by my cousins (not sure if I was actually waking up irl but I don't think I was). Finally I made it into a dream within the dream and was lucid in the new one.

      I was at a shopping centre in my city near a movie theatre, and my aunt was there as well in her pyjamas, and it was just sort of accepted that we could and were sharing dreams. She ran off, and I walked around the corner, touching walls and stuff and inspecting them and doing RCs.

      Then I thought of what I read in the School of Out of Body Travel book, about how it was guaranteed that whenever you stared at something very closely for a long time in a dream, it would start to warp and change. I stared at my finger closely for a while but nothing happened, so I started to wonder if I was really dreaming for a moment, but another nose RC confirmed that I was. Then I saw N was there [again :| get out of my head dude lol] so I gave him a hug.



      - I then "woke up" back into the FA at my cousins' house, and they asked about the dream I'd just had, so I told them what happened. My mom then said she was making pancakes [she actually kinda woke me up irl to say we were having waffles lol so it got incorporated] and asked if I wanted strawberry, blueberry or both. There was a plastic cup on the table with a few halved strawberries and three fresh blueberries. I ate a large blueberry and it was really good.

    7. Seeking eternal life + interview + culinary TV show

      Eternal life -

      So the dream begins with me following this guy who proclaims to me that his ultimate goal is to make eternal life possible for himself. I'm in his lab and he explains this to me. The guy looks very old, fragile, and evil. I leave for the day, confused. I find out the guy has been going and killing a few people for the sake of his experiments. I go back to consult him about it, but he is in the process of using his eternal life device. This is like those octopus like things (the robots, not the creatures) from the game crysis 1, but more of a metallic color, and a whole lot bigger. One of the huge tentacles, which looks like a million thin long tentacles intertwined, reaches out slowly towards the guy. The guy doesn't move a squat. The tentacle finally touches his neck and attaches itself to it. The guy stands there strong but looks like he is in great pain. His muscles start tensing up and bloodveins being visible under the surface. He started laughing like a mad man. Dream end.



      Interview-

      Most likely the result of a v-wild. Not sure if lucid.

      So i found myself in this empty opera hall. On the stage. There's a 9 year old boy standing in front of me in a fancy suit. He starts interviewing me, and is quite chlidish at that. At one point he ignores me and I yell at him. Do not remember the context of the interview



      Culinary TV show

      Some sort of reality TV crap about food was in my home with some of my friends, recording the whole process of making the food and eating it and opinions and such. I think I had chicken & salad for food. Liked it. Not much else.´in this dream.

    8. LD 7: Invisible Gun

      NON DREAM DREAM LUCID

      I'm with Jim Carrey in my house. There is someone else there, and we're trying to trick him into forgetting his name. I'm hiding in my bedroom, cracking up as I listen to Jim yell "NOPE." whenever he guesses his name. The random guy is like, "Is my name...Bake? Drake? Blake?" and Jim Carrey just keeps saying no.

      Then, to my horror, I realize that my name is Blake, so he can't have that name!
      (Uhm...my name's not Blake in real life. I'm a girl and my name is nothing close to that...)

      The dream switches.


      I can't pinpoint exactly when this happens, but somehow, I became lucid. I confirm it with a few reality checks.

      I'm standing on a street at night-time in some downtown city. I remember how one of my lucid goals is to eat something and try and stabilize the dream. I notice some people sitting on the sidewalk, with little foldable tables and paper plates of food. I figure I can just steal some food from them.

      I walk up to this man and he has a plate of baked beans. I say, "Can I have some beans?", and he looks at me with an extremely creepy and malicious smile on his face and says, "No...". So I start to walk away, but I realize he's still staring at me with that creepy look. I say, "Stop being creepy! Now!", to which he replies, "I don't think so...".

      I ignore him and walk to another person, a woman, sitting and eating what appears to be a cheesy bratwurst. I walk up to her and say, "Could I have a bite? It's...for charity...". She says, "Of course, hon! Take the whole thing!". So I take it from her and take a bite out of the other end of it. It tastes just like it does in real life. Unfortunately, it doesn't really do much for stabilization.

      Anyways, so I set the bratwurst down again and turn around, just to see the creepy guy standing there. He walks away from me and over to this random hotdog stand that's sitting in the middle of the road, because apparently, he works there. I go up to him and say, "That's it! I warned you!", and I proceed to hold my fingers as if they were a gun, pointing it right at him. I pretend to load said finger gun.

      There are a bunch of people standing in the road, and they all get shocked expressions and either run away or drop to the ground in an attempt to protect themselves from any possible gunfire.

      I say, "I told you not to be creepy, but you didn't listen. Now, I don't wanna have to kill you, so don't make me!". The creepy guy no longer has a creepy look on his face and instead looks terrified, holding his hands up in the air. He swallows and nods.

      "Good," I say, and lower my fake weapon. There is another guy working at the hotdog stand. He's younger, and he's totally cute. So, I say to him, "You're coming with me." He obliges, and loops his arm around mine. We start walking down the street.


      Sadly, I lose lucidity. I'm still walking with the guy, and we walk into an ice cream shop. Now he's wearing a shirt similar to what Waldo wears. There's and old lady in the ice cream shop wearing the same shirt. We get in line for ice cream, but there are a bunch of kids trying to cut us. I realize it's a group of kids on a field trip, and of course, their chaperone is no other than Bruce Willis.

      We get to the front, though. I want Superman flavored ice cream (a real flavor, yes), but I instead by mistake get a flavor called Senorita Raspberry (a made up flavor). It actually tastes really good...


      I wake up. Now that I think back, I really wish I'd killed that guy, using my invisible gun...

    9. Oops

      Okay, I should have written this down right when I woke up, since I can't remember much now, but it kind of disturbed me in my half-asleep state, even though it doesn't make any sense, so I didn't, lol.


      I was on some kind of mission with E and K and possibly some others in this field area with paths through long grass. Something happened to K, she got hurt or something, and so I had to...put her inside these small pastry type things? They were spherical and about 3 inches in diameter, they reminded me a lot of risotto balls, the appearance and taste. When I looked at them I could sort of taste them, or knew exactly what they would taste like.


      Anyway, I'm not sure how exactly I, er, divided her up amongst them, but somehow I had to put her in them in order to take her home and help her. :| It switched then to being in my kitchen with E and maybe someone else, and I was just taking the tray of risotto ball things out of the oven. I placed it on the counter and started breaking them open, and all of them had these weird black smudges in the middle. Then people started wondering where K was, and it slowly dawned on me that I was supposed to put her in them after I cooked them. Yeahhh.

      Now at this point the scenario was sort of switching back and forth between it being K in the balls (lol) and it being my cat that I had put in there. My mom called from the living room, "I haven't seen Peaches today." D: I was getting really scared, though everyone else was still really confused about what happened, and I was desperately trying to think of an excuse or someone else to blame the incident on lol, but I soon realized there was no way I could.

      I guess I had a false awakening sort of at this point, because suddenly I was in my room with E and L, telling them about the dream.


      I woke up craving risotto balls and went and got some, even though the image in my head of them full of guts isn't exactly appetizing. :|

    10. Last Day Of School.... Again!!

      It was the last day of school again, and we were sitting on the desks and our teacher was telling us how much he'd miss us BLAH BLAH BLAH! Ten he asked 3 people in the class (icluding me) to stay after school because he needs our help making greeting cards for a lawsuit......... wtf? So we stayed after school and there was a party and i ate a lot of stuffz there i dont remember much after that.
    11. The Bank-Restaurant (Night of June 11)

      [This is a catch-up post. This dream is from the night of June 10-11, 2011.]

      I'm in the car with my mom. We're driving along dirt roads, checking our location against photos we have of landmarks along the way. We're on our way to JJ's party. [This dream was in anticipation of what I was going to do that evening – exactly the same thing, only without the photos or my mom.]

      I'm in the parking lot outside the old Pomona First Federal branch in Ontario. It's a sunny day. I'm picking up many coins (quarters, dimes, and pennies) from the parking lot. I think, It's a bank, so it makes sense that there would be coins in the parking lot. Some real-life friends of mine [I think they may have been T and G, but I'm not sure] walk past me. There are many other people there.

      I enter the building. The entryway is a high-ceilinged, airy room with tall windows and a grand, sweeping staircase. There is a freestanding sign at the bottom of the stairs saying that the Joy Laow
      [I think] room, the meeting room at the top of the stairs, is available for rent for meetings.

      I go further into the building. The main part of the building is a large, long, rectangular, carpeted room with a high ceiling. It is a Marie Callender's restaurant. There is another part of the restaurant floor with a lower ceiling. This area has a small stage, where a loud rock band is playing. My family is sitting around a table near the stage, next to the sound-mixing board, which is sitting on another table. I join them at their table. P. orders another Pepsi from our server, and I order a glass of water. Shortly after I arrive at the table, the band takes a break. I'm relieved that I won't have their music blasting my ears out throughout dinner.

      I wander off from the table and through the large, carpeted room. There's a lot of empty space in it for a restaurant seating area; there are only a few rectangular tables, arranged in a line. I enter a train-station-like lobby area off to one side of the room, where I see an ad
      [?] for the Scott Pilgrim video game, in mirror image. I know RD wants to play it. I see a group of people there discussing video games, and I join in.
    12. Elvish Misadventures

      1. I'm in study-hall, about to do some doodling in my notebook. The teacher says I draw too much and that I need to use study-hall for reading instead. So I reach into my backpack and pull out a rather battered paperback copy of The Silmarillion and locate my bookmark.

      2. I'm an elf, wandering through a forest. There's a blackish-gray wolf following me, but I figure he's just there to be helpful. Then one of my former classmates knocks the wolf away with a huge hollowed-out log and starts chasing me. I can occasionally hold him off with a spell, but I have very little power.

      3. I've been captured by an orc slaver, along with several other elves. The orc also keeps several huge owls on a leash. I try escaping several times, but I always get caught. Invoking the name of Elbereth doesn't help either. Eventually, we get to this hotel where the orc finds out he's only going to get about $8000 for the elves he's brought in.

      4. Outside my old high school, I'm about to set out on a journey with a couple other elves. We stop to gather bundles of a special kind of long grass that can be simmered to produce a nutritious and delicious soup. Somewhere along the way, my companions get replaced by two of my (human) former classmates. There's an abandoned house that's still fully furnished, so we stop there. I set about the task of making dinner, but my classmates keep messing with the recipe. Then they let in this beggar-girl who starts stealing various objects in the house to sell.

      5. I'm trying to eat some macaroni and cheese, but I keep getting sent away on errands, so I can't have any. I go on a huge rant about how you really don't want to find out what an elf with low blood-sugar can do.

      6. I'm trying to solve a sliding-tile puzzle that's booby-trapped with water balloons.
    13. Fleeing From a Bear and Hunting in the Arctic

      Notes:
      Is there some sort of connection between summer and really insane dreams? Being chased and escaping long-haired bears simply by running away, hunting as a bird, and shopping for pokemon cards hanging on a tall sheet of ice, all in one dream. A long one, too!

      I was in my subconscious' rendition of the arctic. This place wasn't as flat and barren as you see in photos; instead, it was relatively bumpy with hills and miniature cliffs all over the place. Strangely, there was a very high ceiling surrounding everything too, just floating in the sky - there were no walls; you could see arctic scenery for miles if you looked, but the ceiling still made everything relatively dim because it blocked out the sun. And you couldn't tell where the ceiling started and ended.

      There were a few thicker logs strewn around, all of them acting as ramps to get to higher vantage points. One of them had branches that were much more twisted and stronger than they should've been, almost as thick as the log itself. The whole place felt deliberately set up and it almost reminded me of a museum diorama, but to my dream self, it still looked very real.

      Within this setting, I was standing around and talking to my sister and one of my friends. I can't remember the subject matter, but I had essentially stolen something from my friend, and they didn't know I was the person who stole it. I was trying to keep them from discovering that. This conversation lasted a few minutes. We were in a sort of alcove, surrounded by walls of ice about 7 feet tall. There were a few large logs that were angled against the walls, which provided escape routes if we wanted to leave the alcove. I broke away from the group and started to walk toward one of the logs, hoping to climb it out of the alcove. However, as I reached the base of the log, I came face-to-face with a large brown bear. The bear was big, probably eight or nine feet tall if it stood on all fours and it had especially long fur, twice the length of a normal bear's fur. It bared its teeth at me and opened its mouth, roaring in my face. I turned and booked it towards the other log, running up it and stopping when I got to the top. I looked back down and saw the brown bear coming up the log quickly, a speed that would only be possible if it were just skimming over the surface and not actually making contact with the wood.

      Forgetting about the two people who were still in the alcove, I turned and ran away from the bear, hoping I'd lose it. Somehow, I outran it. Still running, I took a right turn, veering behind a big ice shelf. As I turned the corner of this shelf, I slowed down to a walk. The bizarre "ceiling" that I described earlier disappeared, and it was now lighter outside; it was definitely daytime because the sky was blue and I could see the sun. The snow was pretty close to a pure white, maybe with a tint of blue.

      As I walked, I thought, 'I have to start a new life here, because I can't go back'. I started looking for something to eat.

      Eventually, I came across a small group of evergreen trees. There were a few brown sticks and twigs growing out of the ground around them, too. Some of them combined to form other, tinier trees. Between two of these trees, I saw a small ferret, mostly white with tiny black eyes and grey ears. It was probably twelve inches long, and not quite as pudgy as a regular ferret. It was sniffing along the ground, moving as if in slow motion, but twitching and acting like a regular ferret all the same. I knew I would need to eat it.

      Somewhere during this, I assumed the form of a bird. I leaped at the ferret in slow motion, and I saw one of my feet reaching out in front of me, in an attempt to grab it. The foot was dark grey, and it had four toes with black talons. I ended up passing right over top of the ferret, missing it, and landing on the ice in front of it. I spun around to see where the ferret was, but it wasn't there anymore, even though it should have been. Instead, I heard it "chirp" behind me.

      The dream skipped a bit, and then I was a person again. I was at the base of a snowy hill, digging a small hole in the snow with my right hand, using my fingernails to scrape the slushy ice out. The final hole looked extremely neat and slick, not at all like I'd dug it up using my hand; it was more like someone had taken a cylinder, shoved into the snow, and pulled out a snow sample. Then I snuck to the top of the hill, crouching down a bit, and hung around there for a while. I'm not sure what happened directly after this, but after what I "knew" was some chunk of time, I returned to the hole and found a small, square-shaped steak right outside of the hole. I had "caught" the ferret.

      I ate it, but I can't remember how or what it tasted like.

      After eating, I started to walk back to where I'd ran from the brown bear, past the ice shelf. Now, however, I "knew" that there were Pokemon cards on the shelf. There were seven or eight small metal nails pinned evenly in two rows; hanging from them were cards in realistic plastic sleeves (not the reflective kind, just clear). A few of the cards were big, around the size of the cover of a small novel. I spotted these ones immediately and knew they were fake.

      The dream ended.

    14. Metal Gear, Pancakes, Wolf Drama, and Other Fragments

      1. Metal Gear Solid was taking place in my old high school. Since, having played the game about a billion times, I knew one of the major sad parts was coming up, I took the opportunity to sit Snake and Gray Fox down at a cafeteria table, have a conversation, and make friends with Fox (who for some reason was missing the upper half of his Cyborg Ninja suit, was wearing Otacon's glasses, and was carrying a plastic bag full of fake roses). Before everyone went their separate ways, I took a petal from one of Fox's fake roses so that I'd remember everything that happened.

      2. Still in my high school, it was time for Home Ec, where we were making pancakes that we could either top with sweet things or with refried beans. Before class started, I checked my pocket to make sure the rose petal I "borrowed" from Gray Fox was still there. Cooking was mayhem. There wasn't enough griddle space for everyone, the classroom itself had sort of a maze layout, and when I finally got my pancakes poured, I came back to discover that a huge guy was sitting on them. Bastard.

      3. I was at an anime convention, petal still in pocket. I found a light-up figure of Motoko Kusanagi from Ghost in the Shell, but it was too expensive. There were also a bunch of weird jawbreakers.

      4. I'm wearing my orange-red-yellow stripey nightgown. I check desperately for pants pockets, but eventually resign myself to the fact that I didn't really meet Solid Snake and Gray Fox. Bummer.

      5. I'm a servant in a family of dogs who have to go into hiding under the protection of the wolf king. During a war with some lions, the pups and the wolf king go missing, so I put on a wolf mask and go into the forest to rescue them. I get killed, but it turns out the whole thing was just a play, and the plot repeats itself a couple times.

      6. I'm in a mall where some highly advanced robotic llamas and ferrets are being exhibited. I play with the ferrets.

      We went to the supermarket and looked at some food, outside the supermarket was a portable shower (like them builders toilets you get) I then went to a local store which was cluttered and the man sell eggs which may have been broken.
