    1. September 16 2010 I got a lot of writing to do.

      phase1: (possible semi-lucid)I was at a pool flying about 15 or 20 feet above, stephanie meyer (who is apparently a life guard) and matt cortese are talking to eachother in the pool. I kept pouring buckets of dilluted/dirty water on her while flying in a lounging position as if i were just floating on air. The pool was amidst a forest that surronded circularly then there were Highways past the forest range. there was more to this dream but i forgot.

      phase 2:Then I was in a school (which i've never been to) and i was conversing with a guy then over came four girls 2 were allison e and kate l (from highschool) the girls talked to the other dude but shrugged my prescence off. after they walked away kate l stood there as if she felt sorry that i was ignored.

      phase 3: Then i'm in the same school but its a different phase. Erin Mcloraine needed me to text something and she asked me to text the number 25 so at first i stumble upon the blackberry-esque phone keys then i type 25 and it was underlined then the dream faded.

      Fighting like a video Game

      I am being led by the hand somewhere. I can't see but i notice the sensation of passing through a doorway and into a hall. My perspective switched to third person view and I see the dream like a 2d video game from the mid nineties. Kaomea, is leading me into a room. I am bounded and blindfolded. She pulls out a hammer and is about to knock me around, she has a dark aura which means she is infected with dark energy. Asuka flies through a portal and manifests DCs, in between me and Kaomea, since i have 3rd person view I play my "guy" with a video game controller.

      I see my self jump up like a spinning top and bounce of all the heads of the Dcs. when I hit them an animated wave flies from them just like In a video game. I kille them all, land and fall over and roll around. On the side I can see Asuka struggling to stop Kaomea from hurting me. But somehow during the struggle Asuka gets infected with the dark energy.

      Missing time

      Semi lucid

      Fa, I decide to gooutside in the middle of the night for a smoke. I have the sense that I am dreaming so I try to fly. i manage to float in the air a bit and then drop. I forget my lucidity and fly to a store to get a midnight drink.

      House wtf.

      I travel to Ontario to see my family there but instead enter my inner world house. I walk around and the place is filled with people. I see Dan and tell him i have the money to pay him back from years ago.

      I decide to go downstairs. The house is huge and impressive. I know I've never seen it before and yet I recognize the place. I look around and find every room from memory is there. I go into the living room area of the basement. There are lots of people seated at a table. The all are sitting at computer consoles. I wait to use one, but then everyone gets up and makes the consoles disappear.

      I go upstairs and havea smoke outside. I go back in and still realize I have the butt in my hand. I go into the kitchen to look for a garbage can but I can't find any.I find Asuka in the kitchen baking cookies. But she looks worn out. It's like those over exaggerated commercial of smokers when their face gets wrinkly. I ask her where the garbage can is. she says she doesn't care anymore about leaving garbage around, just eat a cookie and things will be fine. I shrug and go downstairs. I see a pile of ashes on a part of the ground.

      I sit down on a couch Next to Kao mea, several other people are on the couch as well. We are watching some movie.

      Fa, and I'm on the couch, the lights are out and everyone's asleep. Kaomea is falling asleep and leaning on me. I begin whispering things in her ear but have no idea what i am saying. She starts leaning too heavily on me and pretty soon I feel like she is crushing me. a wave of panic hits me and I try to push her off,but i notice my hand is in her hair. (apperently i was running my hands through her hair earlier). I try to get my hand out but my hand is caught in her hair. I don't want ot hurt her and start screaming. She wakes up and screams as well and I wake up.

      Mermaid

      Asuka was healed earlier and me and Raven go after kaomea to heal her as well. she's by a large pool, and jumps in. She turnes into a mermaid and says. "I love swimming naked with men who's souls are old." At first my heart stops but then I realize she was giving me a back-handed compliment because I am the soul of a sage. I jump in after her.

      some weird creepy mermen are luring her into a water abyss. They start making her say mean things to me. I lose control and I begin to battle her. Raven is with us now trying to stop me. She reminds my I am supposed to fight the creepy mermen.

      back at the house.

      I go back into the house I was in earlier and find it overun with Dcs. i enter some cafeteria and get my food. I sit down at a table and some guy takes my plate and spits on it. He laughs. I tell him I'll leave him alone for now, but should he ever do that again i'll make him drink my piss in a pixie cup.

      He stands up and is 10 ft tall. He follows me into a hallway where I sit and meditate. The man grabs a huge guitar case and smashes it against my back. It slightly hurts, but not really. his guitar case is broken. I scratched. my back slightly and say "Was there a slight breeze in here? someone should close a door." I stood up and he looked feaked out. I shoved him through a wall leaving a big hole.

      sometime Later I go downstairs and find a hospital like place that is sealed by a big blue door. i walk back up the steps with people in green and blue medical uniforms following me.
    3. Drawing portals

      Dream of October 9th, 2010

      Well….. I’m making progress. ^_^

      Last night I attempted a WILD, but it didn’t work, although later I ended up having a DILD. I can’t quite remember how it happened because I had two dreams last night and in the first one I was lucid.

      In the dream I was at a house where a lady was and maybe my sisters. The lady that was there ended up chasing me, but I can’t remember why. To escape her I flew, which caused me to suddenly realize, “Hey, I’m dreaming”. Strangely, I started to feel almost like I was dreaming and awake at the same time, like I could feel light near my eyelids in bed, so I tried to concentrate on the dream and make it stabilize, and I tried to remember my goals. After flying for a ways I either teleported or my flight just brought me to a different area. The area I was in was quite dark, and I think I was in a building. I tried thinking about my goals again.

      The first thing that came to my head when I was thinking about goals was making a portal, and going to Hyrule. I had imagined many times in waking life how I would make a portal. I would draw an oval like shape in the air and then the air would shimmer inside the oval and on the other side I would be able to see my destination; it did not go as I had planned. When I went to draw the portal a blue marker materialized in my hand. I used the marker and drew an oval in the air. The air did not shimmer like I had wanted, and when I put my head through the floating oval I found that I was still in the same area, but I was determined to make it work.

      I took my head out of the floating drawing of an oval and then I focused my will and tried to rub the area inside the oval as if I were trying to defog a window; it worked. The area I had rubbed started to become a semi-transparent image of a underground tunnel. Rubbing the air was difficult, for I had to focus to keep my hand from just going through the oval, but I managed. Eventually I had a big enough area to go through and there was now a clear opaque image of a scene on the other side. Now I had to figure out how to get through the floating window; I decided that I would break it.

      I smashed the floating window and bits of glass, or something of that nature, fell onto the ground. Now it seemed like there was a big hole floating in the air. I jumped into the hole. Once I was through the hole I saw that I had indeed made a portal, for I was now in a completely different area, but unfortunately not in Hyrule. I remember running or flying down the tunnel after that and meeting some enemies but I can’t remember what happened after that, and think it might have been because I had woken up.

      My second dream involved a game. There was this shadowy inky stuff that infected people and somewhat controlled them. I was flying around in the area, which was a valley with a crater lake on one side and a tower on the other. I flew by the tower when the black goop tried to attack me. The goop was trying to control me but I wouldn’t let it. I flew away and saw a group of people who appeared to have been infected by the goop and some other people who weren’t infected. The two groups started fighting each other and I could hear the infected telling them “Join us, give in”, or something of that nature.

      After that the dream turned into even more of a game, well, more like a game editor. My sisters were there and they were telling me what to make. I was able to use the characters and set them up in different areas, change their personalities, and basically just change the whole story. My sisters and I ended up deciding on a story about a large black dragon, and soon after I woke up.
    4. Climb the Mountain

      Synopsis: Too many hamsters. Later, I climb a mountain and fly. Brief lucidity.

      Note: I was talking to my friend a couple of days ago about how she moved out, so she can give me advice. She basically told me she just packed her bags and left, with no security of a job!

      Climb the Mountain
      Like magic we have two more hamsters. This is bad! Our first two hamsters are already miserable no matter how much play time we give them (they just want freedom, lots of it!). Two more hamsters? The cage is cramped now. What are we gonna do?

      Me and my sister explore some retail store. Maybe its a pet store? We exit the back door and see a giant mountain up ahead. (In the real world it wouldn't giant, dream abstraction). Excited, I race my sister to the top. She takes her time and seems to whine about all the rocks and rubble. I reach the peek and I can see the whole valley and the pet store below.

      I tell my sister "I've written a new book! It's called A Leap of Faith!" I don't even know why I said that.

      I jump! Jumping off the mountain peek made me lucid. I soar over the whole city, which looks like a shining quilt from way up here. I haven't been this high up in a long time! It felt real nice. I think about growing wings to try a different flying method.

      That just teleported me to a strange room. I start to have this weird conversation with a dream character about which wings are better to fly with. He insists on using smaller, humming bird like wings. I think that's no fun. I want larger hawk like wings! I woke up after that.

    5. TWO lucid dreams. Testing common DV things

      Well first of all let me say that having another lucid dream is a very reassuring thing to me, and also motivating - shows that my efforts, readings from all of you in the forums and books, are all having some sort of productive, positive effect! I tried for a year before I had my first LD, and was worried it was just random/by chance, but that occured on the 20th of September, so this was only a little more than two weeks apart. My LD goal was to have two lucid dreams by October 31st, and I've already accomplished that so early int he month. Woot.

      Anyways, the dreams-

      First dream of the night I'm at a house party with people my age or just a little bit younger. Lots of fun, I'm drinking vodka but I really do not like vodka much , so I ask somebody if I can trade for their whiskey but am rejected so I go mix it with something and drink it anways [should've been a DS since I stopped drinking]. Lots of girls , really good time, pretty average sized house a little big, white walls and completely dark outside windows. Suddenly we learn that the cops are coming, and there are underage people there so we clean up remarkably fast and efficiently and there is only food and soda out. The cops pull up and are standing outside the door but don't knock for some reason, so I open the door and ask "How may I help you, officer?" and he responds by asking me why I just opened the door [which was pretty funny]. I"m worried since I don't want to be arresting purchasing for minors but they wind up arresting two other guys for completely unrelated reasons to the party and leave without trouble. I remember one of the guys having a bright orange bandana, plain, that just struck me as odd, possibly another DS.

      I have another dream after that with the same cast of DC riding bikes or hanging otu near a lake outside, talking to girls, very summer ish, everything green nice big sky .
      [it's autumn now, no green to be seen]

      So I don't recall precisly how I became lucid or the dream leading up to it but this is what I remember of the first one

      I'm walking along a cobblestone path, woods on either side of me, and I decide to RC for a reason I cannot recall. I do the looking at hands technique, and then the pinch-ing nose technique and it passes and I verify that I am dreaming. Last time I got over excited and frantically repeated to myself "I'm dreaming, I'm dreaming!" and lost control after about 15 seconds, so this time I was determined to remain calm and gently remind myself, which worked perfectly. I look at the ground, trying to focus my vision and repeat "stabilize" four times, without much effect, at least compared to the effect I expected it to have. Perhaps I just didn't repeat it emphatically enough, will try again in future. I felt a huge sensation of energy and heat flow through my body when I became lucid, and it was very pleasurable. The next part is a bit hazy, I'm kind of jumping around a house, through corridors, checking out rooms, wondering if I'm actually dreaming and keep RCing, worried that I'll hurt myself by flying or something. Almost walk in on my mom in the bathroom but she yells at me [weird but silly], I can't really think of what I want to do, not incredible lucidity or vividness, so I think "oh what the hell, I'll have sex" [since men can always think of that in any situation], so I enter a bathroom, big and plain with shower and big jacuzzi bathtub, ready for sex, and a gay guy is standing in there, and when I walk in he pulls down his pants and bends over, but thankfully his body is kind of plasticy and not incredibly realistic. At first I'm like "meh, it's just a dream, just want to test realness" but don't because.. well.. I'd rather have sex with a gorgeous woman! So I tell him that I want to have sex with the most beautiful woman, somebody I don't know, and he says fine and leaves the room, so I imagine the sexiest woman I can think of and she walks in the room. I must've put too much attention on the woman because when she came in I was viewing it in 3rd person, lucidity wavering but I've never experienced that so I didn't think to stabilize. So she kind of turned plastic-ish and kind of became a doll and the dream faded away

      So I woke up from the dream, was about to record it in my DJ but first did a RC just for the hell of itand the nose pinch RC did to for me AGAIN! Awesome, glad I've been practicing that one in RL. False awaking FTW. So I'm lucid in my room, and decide to leave, walk out and I'm in a house different from where my room is, long hallway with windows, so I open the window and think about summoning a bow or sword to act out some Zelda situations [since my alarm is Zelda game boy tunes], but decide I don't really want to do that and fly out of the window to the ground, woods on both sides, dark sky like just after sunset, and a lake infront of me. As I was flying I tried to change the dream scene so I started to spin with my arms out and thought about going to a strip club to try the sex thing again, and closed my eyes, but amazing enough even though my eyes were closed, I guess my "dream eye"[?] wasn't closed with enough resolution and I could still see the scene around me, and the technique failed. So I'm on the ground and remember my intention/ goal to morph into an aquatic creature. So first I attempt running on water, and go across a small section of the lake, and it works, though I'm submerged up past my knees rather than on top, and my legs are burning from running/pedalling so fast. But still cool. So I'm on the other side, and a car drives into the water from around the bend, like on a highway completely natural, and I see the huge headlights under the water, and decide to dive in to get in the car and see what that's like, then try to morph, but at this time my ALARM goes off and I wake up

      So yeah, those are my lucids! Not incredibly vivid, but I'm very excited about them anyways. The first one probably lasted five to ten minutes, and the second one only about three minutes due to the alarm.

      Notes- In the lucid, my dream body felt SOOO natural it was great! I felt light, and fully in control, I had to keep questioning whether flying was safe since it felt so very real. "can I really do this, will I hurt myself?" The spinning dream scene change technique didn't work, but I can understand how it would, and will try again will definite success the next lucid dream I have. Also, I remember at some point during the first LD a fragment I forgot, I was going to have an orgasm but stopped the sex/activity or whatever was happening, since I remember that most people wake up and I wanted to test other things first. I will remember to try the whole way through[lol] another time to see what the circumstances are for myself, since LaBerge claims it doesn't happen with all people and I don't think it will for me since the lucidity at that point remained very vivid.

      I found it difficult to create a new dream scene, and kept getting distracted by thinking "what do I want to do?" I opted against earth bending and sex for the majority of the lucid time because I didn't want to begin a fight unintentionally and turn it into a nightmare, didn't want sex because I didn't want to wake myself up, and didn't try to sit and close my eyes to dream- meditate for the same reason.

      I think this was a result of a compulsion/urgency to control the LD because of a fear/ desire not to lose it and forget it, even though in the LD I experienced no loss of control, completely vividness, aside from when I was trying to control it and change things! Though I probably didn't lose my lucidity because I was so single minded on not losing it, but that was also most likely the cause of the bland lack of occurances in the dream. I probably blocked off other potential story lines and experiences because of it, resulting in lots of open spaces and corridors and a lack of other DC's, mostly dark and greyish lighting and color tones.

      I need to
      A Catagorize more Dream Signs and re evaluate my dream goals, based off of interactions with dream characters for more variety, and also hold off on the sexual and potentially violent/advanced stuff until I'm more comfortable, lots of stuff left to test.

      B Read about dream scene changing tactics and focus on visualizing myself stabilizing the dream via techniques like focusing on each individual sense, etc. Will try the "stabilize" thing more since it doesn't take much effort, didn't really lose anything by doing it.

      Anyway, thanks for reading, I would really appreciate any advice. What you focus on for incredibly basic aspects of LD DC interaction goals, and simple environment testing things? Trying to control flight more carefully? Trying to start conversation with DC as a way to get a dream cookie? Experiment with time? Change the color of my shirt?

    6. Flying over the Stark Expo

      Notes:
      I decided against completing my goals yet again, and have some fun. I'd watched Iron Man 2 the night before this dream, so the content of this dream was obviously from day residue. Flying is probably the most amazing thing I've ever done in a lucid, and this might just be the best session I've had doing it.

      I was by myself at the Stark Expo, which was like a big outdoor amusement park. However, in the dream, it was located indoors, in some massive convention center with impossibly high ceilings. The ground was flat concrete or something, which was difficult to discern because it was rather dark (but there were lights overhanging the areas that people were walking. I was standing next to a long, rectangular fountain. There were five or six circular fountains positioned inside the rectangle-shaped one, and all of them were simultaneously spouting water in random intervals.

      I remember seeing a ferris wheel across the fountain and wanting to ride on it, but decided against it because I heard it was very unstable and could tip over. After the contemplation, I saw someone running towards me. The closer he got, the lighter and more visible he became; the man got within ten feet of me before I realized it was Tony Stark, one of my favourite superhero characters. Since he's played by Robert Downy Jr. in the movies, that was how he looked in the dream.

      He was wearing jeans with a small rip in one knee, and a fitted dark green t-shirt. "Hey," he said, bending over slightly and catching his breath. I didn't hear him exhaling, even though I should have because of how fast he had run towards me. "What are we doing now?"

      "I think you should get back at that guy for attacking you here last week." Then I remembered, "right, he's dead." And that's when I became lucid. "...Oh my god, am I dreaming?" I asked myself, and did the nose plug reality check to confirm. "Yes!" I shouted.

      I assumed flight position and took off with my invisible armor, shooting straight up towards the ceiling. The ceiling disappeared sometime during this, revealing the night sky. I felt the acceleration and slight vibrations like actual flight would entail, as well as a slight gravitational/g-force pressure as I went higher and higher. I heard what sounded like a small rocket behind me and at that moment, I assumed that Tony Stark was following me. Until now I was heading straight up, but then I leveled out so I was parallel to the earth. It felt like I was ten thousand feet above the ground, and below me I could see the Expo, along with a few other cities. I was getting a bit excited and, fearing I'd wake up, I decided to turn and fly towards the ground. It only took a few seconds to get close to the ground of the Stark Expo again, and when I was a mere thirty or so feet away, I pulled back and positioned myself upright. I slowly drifted down onto the ground like I was a feather.

      I have no idea where Tony went, because I didn't see him anywhere after I landed. I felt like I was on the verge of waking up, so I rubbed my hands and kneeled down on the ground, rubbing the concrete with my hands. It was a bit smooth for concrete, but since it was divided into large squares, I caught my fingernails in the cracks to create more tactile simulation.


      The dream ended abruptly as my alarm clock rang. 6:35.

    7. Neighbor's House Lucid

      Shit, it's been weeks since I last posted... I should get back on the train, and nothing better to do so with than a lucid.

      The man in the house neighboring my childhood home has passed away. The dream goes into a sort of news-style overview of his life, complete with interviews from people who had known him in the past. He's apparently been a recluse for the past several years, his only intercourse with the world a mail slot through which he got movies, books, and food. The dream then cuts back to first-person as I start to explore his house. I enter his library, stacked floor to ceiling with books. As I look around, I notice that the titles on the spines are different every time I look at a particular shelf. I pass this reality check!

      I start to walk around the house, leaving the library, and I enter into the hallway from my own house. I think about what I'd like to do, and decide I should try some dream combat. I try to turn-summon an awesome sword from the closet in the hallway, but for all I try nothing appears in my hands. I then decide I should do something before I lose lucidity, so I jump down the stairs and start to fly. I pass like a ghost through the wall, then pull up sharply in a breathless rise. It's nighttime, and the moon is huge and full. It illuminates a towering cloud that looks like the Grim Reaper! I get a couple of swoops and whirls in before I wake up.

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

      This dream was really the end of a longer dream that I can't quite remember. What I can tell you is that the rest of the dream was rather disjointed, and involved random things happening. The last non-lucid part that I remember involved a bunch of broken glass all over the room (from some rowdy guest or something? There were a bunch of nameless faces here, I think). I had to grab my little brother Jared and carry him out of there. Only thing was, he looked nothing like my actual brother. My little brother's also almost my size, both in the dream and in real life. Don't ask how I carried him, I don't know.

      The part where my recall really picks up is right after this part. We're in one of our old houses that we moved out of a couple years back. Only me and my dad are here for some reason. He gestures towards, I believe, the kitchen and says "The purple is over there." Usually it takes something more absurd than that to make me wonder, but he was treating purple like it was an object. Anyways, I'm naturally curious now, and pick on him a bit for it. ("'The purple is over there...' Now how is that gonna help me Dad? Seriously? Purple?") I don't remember his response. Still curious, I hop up into the air, and float slowly down.
      This is the only reality check I need, and I become lucid. Satisfied, I walk out of the house to try the thing that always comes to mind when I'm lucid without a plan -- flying. I step out and try a few smaller jumps, like off our porch, with limited success.

      Here, though, I pause a moment to take in the scenery. The trees, the path and all, look beautiful. For just a moment, I slip into a bit of fuller awareness. The dream looks every bit as vivid as daily life, if not more, and I truly feel like I'm there. I savor this a bit longer before running off to try flying some more.

      I'm lucid enough to realize the path isn't right here --it splits into two before reaching the road again, when it's really just a driveway. There were probably other inconsistancies, there always are, but I didn't pick up on them this time. I cross the road by our house, and on the other side there's a veritable cliff, which I jump off of without a second thought. Now I start gliding, with varying success. I glide level for a bit, then start to drop faster, which eases up as I get closer to the ground. Here I'm wavering, sometimes falling a bit, sometimes staying level, and sometimes actually rising a bit. All while I'm gliding forward at a respectable speed.
      (I don't get the full effect of the wind on my skin, but I get some, and I consider this a success. It's certainly better than I normally manage.) As I start dipping towards the ground, approaching an ocean, my vision fades to black. It briefly comes back again when I land in the ocean. I turn around to see that I'm at the shore, and could climb up the beach, but the dream fades again before I can do much else.

    9. Second lucid? Zombies

      Last night I wasn't even trying to have a MILD but I had a lucid dream, I think.
      I am sleeping in either an apartment in a tall building or in a hospital bedroom. I see green curtains and cool air is blowing in through the window which is wide open. I get up and do a reality check. I do many reality checks in this dream. About three nose pinches and one gravity check. And also stabilized by rubbing my hands together.
      I see colored balloons briefly. And they have writing on them. They are floating in front of a blue background. There is a red and a green balloon and possibly a blue one.
      I am walking in a mall at B-2. It is dark or very dimly lit. I see people vaguely walking around. They look a bit like zombies.
      I am still wondering if I had a lucid dream or not so I try to fly (thought: because I can't do that in real life). And I see a picture of myself flapping my wings like a duck. Again I see myself against a blue background. And I am not wearing clothes.
      I ask some guys if I'm dreaming. There are about three people. There is one old man. They say that I am not dreaming. Then I say, "so I've been doing all these things awake?"

      Very low lucidity though. Or even none. Need expert opinion here.

    10. Ah Lucid Dream so eggciting !

      So this past night was only my second lucid dream ever.
      But this time was SO much better than last time,
      at one point I felt so awake in my dream that I was wondering if my body was even getting any rest. it was so amazing because it seemed like it happened right when I fell asleep.

      I realized I was dreaming when I began counting or making a checklist with my hands, then that's when I thought, waitttt a second let me take a look.
      and when I looked at my hands, they were distorted,
      and I was like "yessssss!"
      so i look around to take everything in.
      i dont really remember much though,
      i remember a lot of emptiness. Like I'm pretty sure I was in a town full of houses, but i don't remember seeing a lot of people.

      I learned in order to share a dream with someone, you can try calling for them, so I tried that with one of my friends, but it didn't work, so I figured I would try to go to a meeting spot that we decided on a long time ago... which was the moon.... the only way i could figure how to get there was to fly.

      At first it didn't work, but after a few tries I was totallllyyy flying... it was so awesome, i forgot about my reason i began flying in the first place.

      Then i woke up.

    11. Goldfish Whales, WTFness, and Not-So-Horrible Elder Horrors

      1. I had two goldfish instead of just my IRL goldie, Aristotle. The second one was named Socrates. Socrates mysteriously dies, and Aristotle begins exhibiting the same symptoms. I then have a false-awakening, and note that 'Stotle is still okay, and Soc never existed. Aristotle grows bigger and bigger and turns into an Orca. Someone makes me a saddle and harness for him, and I learn that I can ride (and even fly) on my goldfish-turned-whale friend. Then there's something about a mall, a chandelier, and a shoot-em-up game gone awry.

      2. Intimate time with The Boss from MGS3. Woke up in the middle of the dream.

      3. During a barbecue party, my older brother accidentally summons an Elder Horror, and everyone gets dragged to an alternate dimension to be said horror's minions. New recruits look like anthropomorphic cherries, and get kicked around a lot. There are rules about what we can say or do, restrictions on leisure time (such as players only getting two turns at pool and then the game is over), and weightlifting sessions are mandatory. Aside from this, however, it's not so bad. Once we get promoted, we go back to our regular form, and the higher-ups are less strict. Procedure in the weight-room, however, gets a bit weirder - every day, someone different gets kicked out of the room, until it's just myself and a few others... including, oddly enough, Anthony Head, to whom I - against better judgment, hey it's dream logic - proclaim my fangirlness and end up hugging him. Then there's some subplot about a guy who manages to escape by turning into a dog.


      (So I guess the moral of the story is, it's not so bad being the minion of an Elder Horror, so long as I get to hug my favorite actor in the end?)
    12. My first lucid dream! Simple and Beautiful

      I had a lucid dream! I was flying, and knew I was dreaming immediately because I was flying I enjoyed this immensely because I was not shocked, and it didn't hit me like many members report, I wasn't over excited, and I didn't wake up. That was one thing I have tried to focus my intention on, approaching lucid dreaming with a calm and stable mind. So, I'm flying with my arms at my sides, parallel to the ground gazing foreward, going a little too fast for me to control, but I do forget to stabilize before trying to accomplish my goals so they don't work unfortunately and I lose lucidity within probably fifteen to twenty seconds. I was flying over a hilly grass area near a very large and beautiful tree, it was daytime. I first tried to change my altitude and method of flight [like hovering, or doing somersaults, etc.] but was unable to, and then I tried to "Earth Bend" like in the animated series Avatar, but I don't recall being able to move anything with my mind. So my next area of concentration will be dream stabilization!
      [Sorry for the long post about a 15 second dream, but I feel quite proud and exhilarated from my experience, and overjoyed that I am moving closer to understanding the dream state]

      In the dream immediately following or connected to the LD, I meet up with people I live and work with, and we are driving through rolling countryside along the coast of some huge lake or ocean. It is sunset and breathtakingly beautiful, I feel comfortable and adventurous. We pass through several cities, some we pass around at a height while still in the car. The cities are filled with large buildings seemingly made of adobe or concrete, very circular like Indian temple-skyscrapers, with a feeling reminiscent of elven towns from Lord of the Rings. I ask the driver town names and she gives some names of towns in the state where I live, which I do not notice. We come to a building in a town and enter and it's a type of leisure club, semi circular in design and spiraling upward, long decorative diamond strings hanging down like a mobile in some art museums or libraries. It seems there are many live performers/magicians performing strange things [though I do not remember] One of them gives me some type of small cellular type device connected to a balloon that looks like a large lightbulb. Holding it causes me to fly again, and I am soaring gently over the many people, and fly up through the building, very dark and intimate feeling with red and black tones and candlelight , filled with mystique. I come down to the ground, grab another and fly even higher, and I seem to be the only one flying though I am not a spectacle and I don't mind at all .

      After flying I sit down with two old men/magicians/performers with beards, like monks or gurus, sitting cross legged and excitedly tell them about the lucid dream I had just experienced, how it felt and what had happened. They look interested and listen attentively, but do not say much - they sit and smile gently at me. As I look at them I am filled with peace and comfort, they give me a sense of encouragement and approval. When I finish my dream, and finish telling them breifly about the concept of lucid dreaming, one tells me, "well, that sounds like a dedicated task."


      I had several more but must leave now, will update more later in the week since I have no internet access except the library, and will also enter in some memorable dreams from the last few months. Thanks for reading, I'd be glad to get any comments or encouragment or advice.

    13. My First Flight

      Description: I started at 04:30. I was laying flat on the bed with my hands at my side, relaxing my eyes. I had my Lucid Dream Timer set at 8,4,8,12,16,20,20,6. Within an Hr. I felt vibrations. Scenes were flashing before my eyes. I walked down a path from a house carrying a green plastic cover. I was holding the cover with both hands waving it trying to get all the dirt off. I could not keep the picture in my mind, everything went black. I felt my feet lift off the ground....I was floating. I could not see anything, but I felt it.

      I was so excited by the prospect of floating that my energy rose too quickly and my dream state collapsed.

      Note: To maintain the lucid dream state, you must modulate your emotions. (Don't let your energy rise too quickly).


      Mental or Emotional State: Excited, Happy


      Interpretation or Meaning: The color green represents luck, money, envy, new beginnings, nature and growth. It may also represent peace.

      Blackness - Being "reborn" into the next phase of life.

      Flying may represent freedom, or may represent the spirit. They may also represent rising above your difficulties or overcoming obstacles.

      Dream of September 19th, 2010

      I was in a desert, but I can’t remember how I got there or what had happened before this. I was Aang from Avatar the last Airbender. I was flying along in the desert when I saw a young girl with tanned skin and black hair. She said that there were people after her and asked me to help her. I agreed and took her with me to my friends, Katara, Sokka, and Appa.

      When I entered the camp I told the gang the girl’s situation. After talking a bit I realized that I wasn’t acting quite how Aang would act, I was acting to serious, so I tried to smile more and sound happier and optimistic like Aang usually does. The girl then told everyone the rest of the details, such as where the bad guys’ base was, and then she showed me that she had wire handcuff type things on her wrists. To cut the wire off of her wrists I put my fingers as if I were using scissors for the game “rock, paper, scissors” and then I closed the two fingers and attempted to cut the wire. The first attempt didn’t work but then I tried to focus my mind and inhaled to bring in energy and then I tried to cut it again, this time it worked.

      After cutting the wire we all got ready to leave for the base. For the first part of the journey we just walked, but once we arrived at the tunnel where the enemy base was I had everyone ride on Appa while I flew (which doesn’t make sense since usually Aang walks Appa through tunnels and flies through open areas).

      As we descended down into the base we encountered some of the bad guys, which I quickly took care of. Once we got further down the tunnel it started to transition from the rough rock to smooth white painted walls and wooden floors. I’m not sure how it happened but I ended up getting separated from the rest of them. I found the leaders in what looked to be a kitchen but they fled out the door into a hallway.

      I’m not sure after if I separated from Aang’s body and became myself or just went into first person after that. Anyways, I walked down the hallway and searched for the leaders when a boy came and said that they had placed illusions and that we would have to break them to find them. I think I went into one of the rooms after that and broke one of their illusions and found one of the guys, and then I went back into the hall and into another room. In this room there were many windows, some chairs, and at the end a grand piano. Something felt wrong about the room, the appearances of things seemed to change slightly every so often, and it made me feel a little weak and my mind fuzzy. I tried putting my hands in front of me and touched everything to see if it was real, and then I went up to the piano and picked it up and moved it. While I was moving the piano it ended up touching some pipe like object which shattered the illusion.

      The appearance of the room had changed drastically. Most of the windows had faded away and the chairs and everything else looked plain instead of elegant like it used to. Since the windows faded away the room became darker, and it actually made me feel a little scared. I turned around to leave the room and saw one of the men escaping into a different room. I went to follow him but then the dream faded away.

      Heh… I didn’t write this down right when I woke up so I kinda forgot some of the details. ^_^’

      I don’t remember quite how I ended up at this point. I was in a rather plain area and a monstrous creature with blade like arms had stabbed me through the chest. The pain felt quite real but then I realized that it was a dream. When I realized that it was a dream everything suddenly felt more vivid, which included the pain. Since I knew it was a dream I sat down and just told myself that everything was part of my mind and that it could not hurt me, the pain soon faded after that.

      I’m not quite sure what happened after that but I remember going to a large tower with many levels that could lead to the outside on balconies, which was all surrounded by water. I was fighting some monsters there when I remembered how I had wanted to sprout my brown feathered wings again and learn how to fly better with them. I floated down from one of the upper levels of the tower and then tried to sprout my wings. I kept repeating out loud “I will grow my wings”. After repeating the phrase a few times brown feathers started to appear from my arms. Usually I have my wings come from my back but I wanted to try it on my arms. Eventually my arms transformed into wings and then I tried to fly around with them. Having wings on my arms turned out not to work so well, so I focused my mind and tried to shift the wings to my back. It felt so wonderful being able to fly again, and at one point I fell down towards the water and I almost thought I would crash, but at the last moment I pulled up and only my arms and legs ended up grazing the water. The water felt so cool and refreshing.

      Later I was with some guys, and one of them wanted something but I can’t remember what. They were talking about some extremely hot water that was below us, but I don’t remember why. They ended up getting mad at me and tried to attack me but they couldn’t harm me, and the other guy that was there tried to stop him, and soon after I woke up.

      Yay! I'm so happy! ^_^ I seem to be having at least one lucid dream a month, and a few semi-lucids. :3 Actually, I think I haven't updated the number of lucid dreams I've had on my profile enough, because I'm sure I've had more. :/ I hope I can have another lucid soon.
