Dream - Lucid I was with my friend Paul. It was somewhere that I was spending the night for some reason. We were upstairs in some kind of bonus room. The only light in the room was a desk lamp at a desk Paul was sitting at. I was really tired, and laying on the floor on some blankets. I had a pillow as well. Paul was sitting in a desk chair which was turned towards me. We had been talking, but I don't remember about what. At some point, he was even massaging my feet. I hoped that he didn't think they were gross. Then, I was so tired, I just decided to close my eyes and go to sleep. I was then...I'm not really sure. I was in some white room that looked futuristic. We may have even been in space. This is where I figured out that space velociraptors had taken over the Earth. It was sometime in the future. The world was also running out of its water supply. Even though these space raptors had taken over the planet, there were plenty of humans left. The thing was, they were living in constant fear. If the humans went outside, they were fair game to be eaten. People were getting picked off one by one. It was a horrible state. I was told by some guy that we had to go back and get some people. We were then on Earth (a couple of men and myself) in my backyard. It was quiet, and the sky was grey. I knew we didn't need to be outside, though there were no raptors in sight; being outside was risky business in these times. I saw my brother at some point; he was helping us out. I was then in my house. I don't really know what we needed the people for, but I was in there to get them. I walked through my kitchen, and then into my living room. It was quiet; I didn't see anyone inside. I saw some of the people who came with me outside through the windows. I then felt like I lived there. I felt scared for my life. I felt the fear of the people of Earth. Suddenly, through one of the windows, I saw them. A pack of raptors was running through my backyard. They were red with black, stripe-like markings on their backs. My breath caught in my throat and I dropped to the floor on my hands and knees. I frantically tried to crawl away from the windows, and ended up seeing some more passing through the front yard through the windows in our piano room. I felt like their vision was based on movement, so I tried to be still as I laid low. One of the raptors looked around as it passed. I hoped it didn't see me. I started to panic, and immediately became lucid. I tried to think myself awake, but that wasn't enough. I started to say it out loud. "Wake up, Krista. Wake up. Wake up!" At first it didn't work. I closed my eyes and opened them in the exact same scene I had been in before. Then, I closed my eyes and opened them again, finding myself back in the room with Paul. I was so relieved, but extremely sleepy. I looked next to me and noticed that Paul was laying on his stomach reading next to me on the blanket that I was also laying on. On the other side of Paul was a small child, a little boy. I think it was his nephew. I thought Paul was probably trying to make a move on me or something, but I didn't really care at that point. I was so tired that all I wanted to do was sleep. I turned to lay on my stomach as I cuddled my pillow a little. I moved a little closer to Paul, in a way hoping that he would cuddle with me. I then fell asleep again. I was back where I had been, but I didn't feel as scared because I knew I was dreaming. Part of me just wanted to let the dream play out a little more, so I didn't really do anything to control it. I was then on the Earth mission again, but I was at a different house this time. I knew I was dreaming, so I knew no one was in any real danger. I quickly decided to try to transform myself. I'd never done that before. For some reason, I decided to try to transform myself into Pikachu. Why I decided on Pikachu is absolutely beyond me. I concentrated for awhile, but it wouldn't work. I stood in front of a mirror to try to guide the transformation by watching myself. The best I got was one of my legs started to turn yellow at the thigh. I tried for my other leg, but no dice. I then went away from the mirror and tried to shrink myself, seeing if I could do it that way. I shrank a little, but just ended up squatting on the floor. I then laid on my back to try to watch my legs shrink. Nope, no dice. Grr. I was then in the white futuristic room again. I was told that the raptors had not originally come to kill, but when they got to Earth, they saw us and felt sorry for our species because we were so stupid and blind, and decided to take over the world and kill us. I also figured out that the world's water supply was pretty much out; someone said they didn't know for sure, but had heard someone on Earth, referring to the water, say "Oh shit." I then was at my college, about to play a woodwind concert for band. I was holding my clarinet. I was walking down a bright hallway, when I saw the trombone players start to walk towards me, going on to play the brass portion of the concert. I then saw Austin (my ex in waking life who really does play trombone). His hair was shorter and he looked a lot younger. He wasn't wearing glasses either, as he usually is in waking life. I walked right by him, and he looked right at me. I then noticed that he had gotten shorter....waaaay shorter. In fact, as he walked by me, I turned around and he had shrunken a TON. I figured it was an illusion and he did it to himself. On top he was wearing a suit jacket, white shirt and tie, but on the bottom, he was wearing these baggy black pants with tons of ropes or belts that went from one leg to the other. I figured he had used those to make it look like he was way shorter. Embarrassed, I turned to a friend and said "I can't believe I'm dating him."

First of all, it amazing last night. There was a meteor shower. I just lay in the forrest, and looked up at the sky. It was so incredibly beautyful, you can't imagine! Oh, but I had also had an amazing night! I had 2 lucid dreams, and they were both the longest and most amazing LDs I've ever had. Especially the second. But I'll start with number one, and then I think I'll write the other one in a new entry. Lucid Non-lucid Thoughts A Dream Within A Dream: Okay, I had a dream within a dream. And a false awakening. In the first dream, wich I am in only a few secunds, I'm not lucid at all. Only in the dream, I dream in the dream. I know, it's confusing. I felt alseep in my bed in the dream. My family and I "woke" up in a dream. In the kitchen. The sun was shining, and the weather was perfect! Suddently, it hitted me, that it was weird, that we all were in the kitchen. I did the nose-pinch reality check, and became lucid! "YAY YAY YAY YAY!" I thought, but began to calm down, because I wouldn't wake up already. "It's a dream!" I told my family, and they got lucid too. I ran outsite on the grass, I was too busy with myself, so I can't remember what my family did. I wanted to fly, because it's one of my biggest goals. I jumped. Nothing happened. I really tried to think that I could fly, but it was almost too unrealistic for me. "Okay, what do I do?" I asked myself, and it hitted me, that I just could create some wings! I focused on the wings, and that I'll get them. After a while, I looked into the window. I saw some big, beautyful, white angle wings! I began to move them. What a vividness! I could feel the sun shining on them, I could feel the muscles in them and the wind agains them, when I tried to fly. It helped a little bit, and I could fly about 2 meters up, but I kept falling down. "I have to try this another time I thought, and gave up. I ran into the house, and talked to my family. And then.... everything turned black.
I dreamt that that I fell asleep in my bed straight into a lucid dream where I grew wings and flew through the ceiling. It was exhilarating and I flew higher and through more and more ceilings, one after another. Then I noticed the ceiling fans were below me and I was actually flying downwards (paradoxically it would seem). Then I landed lying in front of St. Peter's gate. A large stone gate standing on top of a circular stone foundation, seemingly floating in space. The gate was unattached, merely a gate with the carving "St. Peter's" on it. I started getting scared and really wanted to ascend, away from here. I was lying in my bed again, "half-asleep" (still within a dream). I even kept having to adjust my sleeping mask on my eyes. After wishing hard enough to ascend, everything became bathed in golden light, and I knew I had golden wings. I flew up once more only to start falling straight down, quickly. Staring straight up, I fell straight past the gate and the platform it was on so I could see how it was standing atop a giant tower or spire. I kept falling, fast, with occasional vibrations that I could feel in the "real" world (within a dream). Finally I landed on my my back on my bed, but under my eye mask I could see the shadows of flames flickering in the corners of my room and my bed started getting hot. (I could never really see any flames) My legs and back grew warm. I could see the shadow of a figure walking bath and forth on one wall. And heard a voice talking less TO me, but more AT me. It was around this point I realized I was in Hell and shocked myself awake. I actually only woke up with a very vague after sense of warmth on my back. And surprisingly the fear and surprise wasn't there, like how emotions follow me from other intense dreams. I think that everything took place in a dream within a dream really helped. That and the fact that I don't believe in a Heaven or Hell and am incredibly secure in that belief that it didn't bother me as much as it should in my logical waking world. Of course I'm shaken that I would have such a dream in the first place, but I still think it was neat. Also even though the dream FELT lucid it couldn't have been, I was merely dreaming of having a lucid dream where these things happened.
Dream - Lucid I was in a hospital, though the colors were a little weird for a hospital. Instead of there being white everywhere, there were more earthy tones; I especially remember dark reds and browns. I was getting some procedure done to my right eye. I don't remember them putting me under, I just remember being under and in a dream state (within my dream). I said to my mom in the dream state "Doing something to my eye freaks me out." I tried to feel my physical body to see what they were doing to my eye, but I couldn't. Thank goodness for that...that probably would have really freaked me out. I knew I was dreaming now, and decided to fly. I flew up into the clear blue sky, relishing how it felt. I spotted someone hang gliding above me, and wanted to get up to their height. I flew even higher. I remember an old woman being with me. I was then freaked out by the extremity of my altitude. I was really close to leaving the atmosphere, which shouldn't have scared me in the dream state, but it did. I thought to myself that I wanted to be back down onto the Earth, and then I was. I was then waking up in the hospital. They wanted to draw more blood. I started freaking the fuck out, telling them no over and over and squirming and fighting. All the nurses, who were female, were trying to get me under control. One had this thing that looked like a hole puncher that they were going to use to draw my blood. She threatened to use it on my back. I got up and darted out of the room, tearing through the hospital. I encountered no other people. I was then outside, and decided to fly again. I took off, and noticed I was outside my house. I decided to try to do something else. I wanted to see my friend J. I landed on the roof on the side of my house, and composed myself enough to start drawing a portal. I kept whispering, repeating "I want to see J, I want to see J..." I drew the portal on the roof, and when I felt it was ready, I jumped through. I was then in a dark, damp room. I felt a plant's tendrils all around me. I then saw myself in 3rd person being overcome and entwined with the tendrils. I then started to hear the nurses' voices echoing around me. I remember one saying something about bronchitis that wasn't in the lungs.
So a friend of mine who got me interested in this site has been telling me about the whole "reality check" things to enduce lucid dreams, but I've always failed in them UNTIL TWO NIGHTS AGO... In my dream, I was in this big city that kind of looked like a tiny packed street in China or Japan or something, with tons of lights and words I couldn't recognize on tons of signs all over the place. My friend Lupe shoes up and she's all "hey, wanna go to this knick knack store?" or however she worded it that made it seem like we were going to some junk shop down the street. I said sure and we headed for the store. When we get inside I see tons of shelves and tons of figurines and such but I can't make out what they are or what they mean, but I somehow know what they all are. There's a clock near the door and a few people in the store. Lupe sees somebody she knows in the store and starts talking to them while I aimlessly wander down an isle of knick knacks. I check the time but the clock is all topsy-turvy like I can't make out the exact time every time a blink it changes or the hands move in funny ways (and that's normal for me in dreams, I can never read clocks. That COULD be a reality check but it never registers for me, I just think it's completely normal and that the clock will tell me the time later haha). I turn back to the shelves and overhear Lupe talk about her class schedule with the person she ran into in the store. Whatever she said made me think, like "hey, she doesn't have that class this quarter" or "wait a minute, she's graduating next quarter not next year" or something that made me realize what she was saying was wrong. And then it hits me: ITS A DREAM. HOLY SH*T. I start floating. I'm all in my head "woah, I'm floating, this is a dream and I'm floating YES! I can do anything I want in this dream this is fantastic!" And then like amnesia, I find I'm back down on the ground and everything in this dream is considered "normal" and I'm back to my fantasy in the dream not knowing it's a dream anymore. I just go through the isles, Lupe catches up with me, and we leave for another store a few blocks away. We don't get to it because I "wake up." BUT I DIDN'T WAKE UP! I'm in bed, in a room that is basically my apartment but the scenery is mixed with my apartment and Lupe's living room. I sit up in bed, stretch and see my friends Jackie and Sam are there but Lupe isn't. I groggily great them, head towards the kitchen (I'm suddenly wearing a white robe for no good reason), and pour myself a glass of iced tea like I would do if I actually was awake. I nonschalantly tell them about how I had a lucid dream but I wasn't reacting to it as I the actually awake person I am right now typing this. Everything after that becomes fuzzy and then I'm ACTUALLY awake finally. So basically two momentous things happened that I'm not even sure really happened: a dream within a dream, which I never have, and a lucid dream, which I apparently had. But it was like I only noticed I was lucid for a few minutes and then I was sucked back into the dream reality. BUT after I was back in the dream reality, I had "split personalities" again, where I see myself in the dream doing stuff like I'm narrating or filming it or something but I can't do anything to change its course. Up til the lucid point in the store, I was in my own point of view FINALLY. I rarely have my own point of view dreams. So I kind of want an opinion... was this really a lucid dream? Or was this my dream person making myself think I had a lucid dream? It's confusing... TA DA
April 22, 2011 Lucid Dream 222: A Day at the Range Series: Friends, Episode 11 DILD around 1:00pm The first part of the dream I remember, I was at one of my house parties. The night was winding down and I was wasted. I was passing out on one end of the couch and Cliff was passing out on the other end. I told him that I would try to find him in the lucid dream I was about to have. We talked about lucid dreaming for a bit and I then closed my eyes. I immediately started seeing HI/HH and completed a brief transition into a WILD. I got up off the couch and woke up Cliff. I told him we were dreaming. He then went and woke up my friend J-Dub and told him the same. We exited the house and I told them to follow me. I took flight and they followed. I flew for a while until I noticed something interesting. It was a driving range. I figured it would be cool to hit some golf balls in a lucid dream. We landed and there was a golf bag sitting nearby. There was also a row of bleacher behind us. There was a whole crowd of people on the bleachers watching everyone at the driving range. We started hitting golf balls and then using our lucidity to make them catch fire, travel an ungodly distance, or travel in crazy patterns. After hitting a few golf balls, we decided to mess with the other golfers around us. I walked up behind one guy and every time he swung, I used telekinesis to knock the golf ball off the tee and he would miss. After missing several times he got pissed off. He teed up the ball and perform a very quick swing. He connected and I used telekinesis to send the ball straight up into the air. He was looking down range for his ball when I slammed it on top of his head and knocked him out. He collapsed on the ground and just laid there. I walked down to another golfer. It was actor, Richard Griffiths (Vernon Dursley from Harry Potter). I decided to mess with him a bit. I turned to find Cliff and J-Dub, but didn't see them. I called out for Cliff a couple times and he came around the corner and said he was pissing on some golfers. I said to him, "Let me borrow your boat horn for a minute." He then reached in his pocket and pulled out a small boat horn. Just before Richard swung through the golf ball, I blew the boat horn. He hit the very top of the ball and it bounced a total of about 20 feet. He looked pissed, but didn't say anything. He teed up another golf ball and this time, I put the boat horn right next to his ear and blew it. He about fell over and shanked the golf ball completely sideways. The whole crowd on the bleachers behind me started laughing. He pulled a remote with a single red button on it out of his pocket. He pushed the button and a fire alarm started going off around us. All of the people in the bleachers started to panic and yelled, "Fire! Everybody run for your lives!" They all scrambled and some of them fell off the bleachers. People all around started running toward their cars. As I watched them run around like mad, I felt something solid slam into my head. Richard had hit me in the head with his driver. I stumbled a bit and it actually hurt a little. Now super pissed off, I turned and started beating the shit out of Richard Griffiths. I told J-Dub to get the biggest driver he could find. I had knocked out Richard Griffiths and set him up on top of a tee. I told J-Dub to send him over the mountains. J-Dub performed the happy Gilmore swing and launched Richard into the air. He flew beyond the outer fence and landed somewhere in the woods. We decided to make a change in location. I took flight and the two of them followed me. We flew around for a while and was about to land on top of a nearby mountain when I felt the dream fade and I woke up. Upon waking up, I realized that I had been dreaming the entire time. I had actually WILDed within the dream. So, I classified it as a DILD. Series Details In the dream series, "Friends," I join the DC counterparts of my waking life friends and tackle the dream world. You never know what we will be up to next, but I guarantee it will be one hell of a time. Stay tuned for more entries to the series!

I was sitting in a classroom, front row, with a group of students. It was a lucid dreaming discussion class. There were single bed/benches set up that looked medical. Me and another guy were talking about different powers in lucid dreams. We were to lay down to dream and start experimenting. I laid down and closed my eyes. After a few seconds, I opened my eyes and I was now lucid dreaming. I turned around and the guy from class was standing right next to me in a large wooden hallway. I was surprised he was there. I had the thought "I guess this is a shared lucid dream." The class assignment was to try out three lucid powers: flying was first: so we took off flying around the hallway. Walking on walls was next: so I walked up the side of one of the far wall. Last but not least was: force style lightening bolts. I struck first and was overwhelming my classmate with arch's of pinkish electricity. He was rattling and shaking and unable to respond in any way. I stopped and asked him if I was hurting him. He said "Not at all." --Then I woke up. I don't recall ever having a dream about walking on walls before, although my last lucid dream featured flying on walls at ant-view. This is only the 2nd dream I'm aware of that I was able to shoot force style lightening bolts. Supplements: Liquid Gel Multi-Vitamin, 500mg B5

Dream - Lucid I was at some weird amusement park. I’m not sure what was going on, it was kind of videogame-esque. I remember seeing characters climbing these ladders to get to the top of something. Some of them kept falling, but would catch a ladder before they hit the ground. I also remember some type of indoor roller coaster. We were trying to get to a part of the coaster that they were going to use, but decided not to. I knew it was probably a dead end, but we tried anyway. We opened up this passageway that looked like a mouth, and we were going into a throat. We rode the coaster to the end. Sure enough, at the end there was another mouth, but not more tracks. We had reached a dead end. I was wondering how we would get back. I remember the whole time a female voice was guiding the process and making suggestions. The last thing I remember is watching the roller coaster car exit through the water through a tunnel topped with a flock of cartoon vultures. Their talons formed the tunnel. ~ I remember a dream about band camp. I remember being outside. Then something about Ryan and I talking about getting married. ~ I was watching myself in 3rd person, but it didn’t look like me. I, however, knew it was me. It was almost like a movie. I was taller with long, black hair. Some of it was pulled back. I was wearing a green dress that reminded me of the 50’s. I was pregnant with Ryan’s baby. Someone was measuring my stomach. I seemed happy. I thought that I had quit smoking by now since I was so far along. The belly looked almost like there was a pillow under my dress. I then remember going to a gym to work out. I was self-conscious about myself, since I was pregnant. I saw my exposed belly, because I was wearing a sports bra (all of this is still in 3rd person) as I got on a treadmill. Then, I noticed the lady next to me was pregnant too. She had a lot of zig-zagged scars on her belly though. I then knew that she had had a lot of abortions, and the scars were from that. Then, I was back in 1st person and myself again. I was with Ryan, overlooking what was supposed to be my grandparents’ house. It was overlooking a lake. There was also a walkway from the house that went out into the lake; it looked like it was made out of random floating objects. I recalled a story to Ryan about how my grandparents liked to go out and sit at the end of the walkway, but my grandma had gotten so old, that she couldn’t walk out there anymore, and my grandpa had to carry her. I was very sad as I recalled this, and I cried. ~ I was lying in Ryan’s bed. It was morning. I knew I was dreaming, and started to feel myself leave my body, as if I was having an OBE almost. I opened my eyes, and my vision was super distorted; one of my eyes was seeing one perspective and the other eye was seeing something else. It was like…one of my eyes was seeing out of my real eye, and the other out of a dream eye. Holy crap it was weird. That kept happening over and over again. I kept going back “in” my body, and feeling sleep paralysis overcome me, and I would “re-enter” the dream (even though I was already dreaming). I’d get up, and my vision was always distorted. I kept trying to fix it by saying to myself “Detach to your dream body, detach to your dream body…”, but I couldn’t fix my vision. Then, I remember getting up again in this strange state, with my vision all distorted. I could see my nose at the end of my face, but when I lifted my hands into my field of effed-up vision, I couldn’t see them at all. I did this again at some point soon after this, and tried to poke my finger through my hand. This is where things get real trippy. I saw two sets of my hands; one that looked solid that my finger wouldn’t go through, and then another almost out to the side that was transparent, that my finger would go through. Then, I saw that second set of hands again in a black space. They were merely outlines of hands filled with tiny blue dots. I thought that this was something astral, but I wasn’t sure. The whole thing was very strange. Then, I remember getting up again, and worrying that I was acting out everything that I was dreaming. Ryan would think I was absolutely crazy. I worried about that for awhile. Then, I remember getting up and Ryan being awake. He pointed to a spot on the bed that looked like poo. He told me I did that. I said really? I did? And he said no, he was just kidding. O_O Then, I remember being in my strange lucid/whatever the fuck kind of state I was in again. I was trying to leave my “real” body to enter my dream body again. I remember Dr. D, my data analysis teacher being there. I was trying to show her and some other people that I was lucid, that it was a dream, and I could do some really crazy things. I started to phase myself through tons of different surfaces; I remember one being chain-link fence. It felt weird to phase through that. The surfaces appeared one after the other after the other. I then remember getting a grade sheet back from Dr. D about what I did. There were two grades on there: An A and a B. Next to the A she wrote something about how great of a teacher I was. The B didn’t say anything next to it, but I think it was my grade on how I was phasing through all that stuff. The weird thing is, I knew I was dreaming in the dream, but I didn't know I was dreaming that I was dreaming...does that make sense? I have no idea what to make of that; I was lucid, but it was a weird state of lucidity. o_O

DJ Log: March 20, 2011 – 7:30AM (USA Eastern) Text color legend: · NON-DREAM · NOTES · DREAM · LUCID · (Note: During WBTB I was a bit hungry, so I drank a full glass of apple juice and are a PBJ sandwich. I always thought the claimed effect of these was placebo, but this may change my mind. It was extremely vivid and detailed, although I lost most of the fine details during recall and logging. ...If only I could connect a DVR to my mental image sensor...) I am walking through the main lobby of a huge apartment building, looking for my new apartment. The main lobby is open all of the way to the fourth floor and there are large chandeliers hanging from the ceiling. As I walk down the hallway, I see that there are numbers on the doors, but they are constantly changing. I walk up a large set of stairs to the second level and walk down the hall, looking at the numbers on the doors. One side of the hall has paintings between the doors and the other side is open into the main lobby area. At the end of the hallway is a common area with a couple of chairs and a fireplace. I go up another set if stairs and arrive on the third floor. It also has a common area, but there is no fire in the fireplace. I walk down the hall, looking for my apartment. After quite a bit of searching, I find my apartment. It has a huge main room with several smaller rooms that each have a fancy wooden door. The top half of the walls are green and the lower half is a medium wood paneling with a chair rail separating the top and bottom halves. The kitchen is very industrial looking as it is mostly stainless steel. There is a fireplace off to the side in an attached dining area. A set of double stained glass doors leads onto a large balcony that overlooks the main lobby. There is a small stairway off to the side of the balcony that leads up to the fourth floor, but the door at the top of the stairs is locked. I look through the window on the door and see that it leads into another large apartment. I turn around and go back down to my balcony. As I come back in from the balcony, I run into a friendly middle-aged black lady that walked in from the apartment next door. She tells me that she is the apartment guide and would like to show me around the new place. She walks me all around the apartment, then shows me where the laundry room is. All of the rooms are empty except the laundry room, which has a washer and dryer in it. She sees that I don't have any furniture yet and offers me her futon to sleep for the first night. I accept her offer and follow her back to her place. I take off my shoes and sit down on her futon. She walks away for a moment, then returns with a glass of water. When I lay down, I close my eyes and transition into a different dream scene. I an the main character in a first-person shooter game looks a lot like the classic Doom game. My health and stats are in my field of vision. I say to myself, “Wow, I'm in a video game!” I quickly become lucid and summon a keyboard so I can enter some cheat codes. I hear some shots being fired in the distance, so I enter IDKFA and my weapons repository fills up. I enter IDDQD and I feel a tingling sensation throughout my body as my health meter flashes, then expands to about three times the normal size. I select the grenade launcher and walk into the next room. There are a three characters in the room that look like the creatures from Aliens who immediately turn and start walking toward me. I fire the grenade launcher and blow one of them to pieces. I shoot the other two then run to the door on the other side of the room. I push on the door with my hand, but nothing happens. I tap the space bar on the keyboard and the door opens into another room. This room looks like an IT closet. There are racks of servers and networking equipment all over it. I put away the grenade launcher and type something on the keyboard which morphs me into a small fly. I fly around in the room for a moment, then find a hole in the ceiling. I fly around above the ceiling tiles until I find another hole that leads me into another room. This room is very small on one side and there are cable management trays going through it. The other side of the room is about normal height and has some metal shelves against the wall. There is a fluorescent light on the ceiling that is flickering badly. I fly around the corner into another room that has a couple of empty metal shelves along one wall. Suddenly, the door opens and a long blonde haired woman walks in. She looks straight at me and starts talking about something. Her words come out as total nonsense and I can't make out any words she is saying. Thinking it is a foreign language that I can't understand, I decide to keep exploring. I fly up into the ceiling and start looking around for another hole to fly into. Suddenly, I false-awaken back to the futon in the original dream. I stand up from the futon and notice that I am wearing some kind of martial arts uniform. It's a thick, dark material and is formed like a sleeveless cape. It has some graphics on the front that looks like a couple of sword fighters. I look around for a bit, then reach up to rub my eyes and see that I have only 3 fingers on my right hand. This irritates me a bit, so I put my hands in my pockets, pull them out and look at them again. Now they have 4 fingers and a thumb each. I nearly lost my lucidity, but I pinch my nose and can still breathe through it, reaffirming my lucidity. I walk out of the room into a large social area. There are several others wearing the same uniforms and they all look at me strange as I walk through to get to the bar at the other end of the room. A couple of them are practicing fighting with rubber knives. They both lunge at my throat with the rubber knives as I walk by. I extend both arms with my hands pointed upward and use telekinesis to shove them into the opposing walls as I walk between them. They both fall to the floor and quickly dissolve. I arrive at the bar and ask the bartender for the House Special. As he mixes my drink, I look at the ceiling and see that all of the lights are off. I can barely see anything, except that there is a light switch on the bar. I flip the switch and nothing happens, so I look back at the lights and say, “Lights Now!” and a couple of the lights turn on very dimly. I repeat a couple of times and about half of the lights reach full brightness. The bartender comes back and hands me a very unusual looking drink. It's a slightly green margarita that's in a large fish bowl shaped stem glass and it has some dry ice in it. There is heavy steam bubbling out of the drink that is rolling down the glass and across the bar. I take a sip and it tastes like a green Jolly Rancher. I blow into the steam and see that there is a strawberry on a stick in the middle of the drink. I smile and remember the basic task of the month, then grab the stick and eat the strawberry. It tastes like chocolate and has a very gritty consistency. Once I swallow it, I set the stick down and look around the bar. I look to my right and there is a younger guy who is becoming partially transparent and is looking around very nervously. A girl standing nearby tells him that he is destabilizing and he must spin if he wants to stay in the dream. He drops to the floor on his left hand and starts to push himself around in a circle with his feet, sort of like he's break dancing. After a moment, he fades back to normal and stands up again. He rubs his hands together for a bit then walks off with a smile on his face. I finish my drink and walk back to my apartment. It appears that my furniture has showed up, but it is still in boxes and plastic overwrap. I walk back to the apartment where I slept at and look for my shoes. I find them, but the laces are untied. I try to tie them, but there are like 5 loops and at least 7 lace ends. I spend a while trying to untangle them, but the dream suddenly fades and I wake up. When I wake up, I think to myself: What a perfect way to waste a really good lucid dream... ...tying my damn shoes...

I'm going to colour code this slightly differently than normal just to make it all a bit clearer. Waking Life (Top Level) Semi-Lucid Dream (Middle Level) Lucid Dream (Bottom Level) I am walking down a stone spiral staircase with my old media teacher. I know that I am dreaming and don't need to reality check as the environment is one of the clearest I've experienced. The excitement that I may have a vivid, lucid dream for the first time in a while ends this fragment of the dream. I am in a grand lecture theatre/exam hall. It is all on one level and the walls look a lot like the Great Hall in Harry Potter. There are red drapes and the seats have red cushions on them. I am sitting next to T_ S_ and realise that she is extremely beautiful. I lean in to her and realise I am lucid. "Breath on me," I say "And poke me". She asks why and I tell her it's just extremely important that she does so - I use the sensations to ground myself within the dream and everything becomes extremely vivid. I ask her to kiss me and she does so, it was amazing - better than any kiss I've ever had in real life. Despite the fact we're in the somewhat busy lecture hall we start to make love. I wake up in what I think is my bed, making love to a brunette girl. She seems shocked I'm doing this and I quickly explain that I was having a lucid dream and that the actions must have carried over to waking life. I am still semi-aware that I'm dreaming as you can see in the rest of this dream extract. We are back in the building with the stone steps and the girl takes me to her class, it seems to have a similar atmosphere to the dream in the lecture hall. I watch from the back for a while and then, when class is over, we head back up the stone steps and emerge at the top of a hill in the desert. Her friend has joined us and we turn to close the large wooden door. As we do so a zombie comes running up the hallway, we just about manage to lock it out. I have the sudden urge to help and a presence (dream guide?) tells me that I can. I need to find a particular seed and feed it to the zombie people to return them to a human state. Whilst being told this the zombie breaks through the door and bites the brunette girl's friend. She quickly becomes a zombie and I fight her off, trying to protect the brunette. I can't hold them off for long forever before she gets a small scratch. I vividly remember seeing her right eye developing a white sheen and before long she is one of them. At this point I fly off the hill and over the desert, searching for the seed. When I find it I see that it looks like the head of a venus fly trap but purple, with pink spines sticking out of it. I quickly return with three of these and feed them to the three zombies. Two of them become the seeds themselves and start chatting (I blindly accept this) and when I give the third one to the brunette she recovers as quickly as she changed. The next thing I know I have taken the two girls back to their dorms and am saying goodbye as I plan to leave for another adventure - the advanced task of the month. I try to teleport there but the dream ends. Definitely dipped in and out of lucidity in the last part of the dream there but it was definitely one of the best LD's I've ever had! It has also occurred to me that the voice I heard that told me to get the seeds may be my dream guide. I felt a sort of presence (as I have read about countless times) when I was being told this information. I really hope I find a dream guide, not for the advice, but so that I have a companion on my adventures to share the fun with.
I wake up in my room, except its from the previous house I used to live in. I'm nonlucid so I accept whats going on as reality, but then I try something that really has had me confused since having the dream. I lay down and close my eyes and try to induce a WILD. I see some HI behind my dream eyes and I even start to get heavy vibrations go up and down my spine, then I get a rushing feeling go to my head (and like in previous WILD attempts) I hear a white noise and an odd "ping!" sound when I know i've made it inside the dreamworld. Except this time instead of the "ping!" noise, it was actually the sound of getting a coin in a Super Mario game, more precisely from Super Mario Galaxy where you hear the sound come from the little speaker in the Wii controller. I mean, exactly, like that. I then find myself in a black abyss where a dream forms and I'm playing a new Mario game I've never played before, it was really fun actually, it felt light years beyond any console game I've played. It was a strange mix of first person, side scrolling, and 3D platformer at the same time? This whole time I'm completely in control and "lucid" in the sense that I knew I was dreaming... I just didn't know I was already in a dream to begin with and there was no need to WILD in the first place! So I guess it was semi-lucid. art by Marcus Blättermann Anyway it was lots of fun. Well, up until Bowser killed me and as soon as he did, I woke up. But not in real life, but rather in the bed and that old room I used to live in. Still of course convinced, that I'd woken up and thinking "aw man, what a short WILD". Looking back at it now, I understand the argument brought up by Inception (and of course before it as well, on this forum) between those who believe that layered dreams are real and those who think its just that we perceive them to be layered but are in fact just one dream. I'd like to say there's no such thing as layers, but after having experienced it myself, it's a fascinating idea and it felt pretty convincing, but I'm undetermined until I have more practice and experience with the subject.

So, April 11, 2010. Real world. Me, dad, and younger brother went going fishing with a family friend called Mr. Kim and his son, who's my brother's friend. Background information is important! In the car on the way to the lake, I felt dizzy and had a headache. I was drifting in that half-conscious state, and half wondered if I was sick. The more imaginative side of me played around with the idea that I was about to faint. I didn't know what it felt like to faint, and I imagined it might feel something like this. When I got to the lake, we set up chairs and the dads began fishing. I was sitting a bit above them, as the ground rose up as a hill. I covered by face with my jacket, and slowly drifted off to sleep. - dream 1. I'm at a mall, nowhere I've ever been. My best friend is with me. We're walking around and suddenly Homer, from the Simpsons, appears. His head's been shrunken and he wants his regular size back. Then I take his place, shrunken, but simultaneously I'm carrying myself. Just a regular, silly dream. But then I wake up. I'm at home, my living room. It's exactly the same as my house, and I recognize it clearly. The details are strong in my mind, which is unusual for me. My television, the couch, the table... it's all in the right place. I'm on an air mattress (one I know we own), and sleeping bags (all familiar) are around me. I see Mr. Kim's son and my brother and my dad are sleeping in them. Now, you have to understand how real this felt. I sat up and wondered, "Am I hallucinating?" I thought I was supposed to still be at the lake. I contemplated whether it was possible that I had managed to sleep through everything. I truly thought I was at home, but that was impossible, wasn't it? Mr. Kim, apparently awake, comes to sit beside me on the mattress. He asks me if I'm alright. I ask what happened. He replies, concerned and surprised at my ignorance, "Jenny, your heart gave out!" I sit, shocked. Then I wake up for real. - My jacket was still covering my face, and so I could only see my stomach. Even awake, I didn't move. My body couldn't really. I was still half asleep. I feel dizzy and as if I was on a boat. I wondered if I was really back at the lake. I muster up the energy to check briefly, and then drift away again. - dream 2. I'm dizzy and can't see. I'm blind but can see; the way dream logic works. I'm with my cousins in a car, with a screen in front of me. It's an internet browser, and I mess around with tabs and delete history like I have a habit of doing in real life, because it makes the drop-down bar look messy. I run out of the car. Something to do with a werewolf happens. It's just another silly dream. - I woke up, but don't move. My mind was whirring, but I didn't move at all. Without noticing, I fell back asleep. - dream 3. I wake up in the fishing site. It looks exactly the same, except there's a portable shade thing, with a faucet next to a tree. I believe I woke up in real life, and immediately get up. Mr. Kim mock-scolds me, "Do you know how much trouble you caused us?" I laugh, not truly thinking about what he said. My dad laughs while my brother and his friend runs to clean their feet in the faucet. I notice my socks are dirty. I hop over to the faucet, trying to stay on the slate stepping stones (which have mysteriously appeared at some point, but I don't notice) because the sand is hot. The sand is hot, and I don't want to get my socks dirtier... Then I woke up. - So that was my dreaming experience for that day. I still remember it vividly, even after almost a year. It was pretty cool, but I was kind of freaked out at the time. Not one of my more exciting dreams, to be sure, but still pretty cool. I love dreams.
I really wish I would have had time to write my dreams down this morning...now I feel like I have forgotten so much. I became lucid in this underground club that was pretty empty except for a couple of female bartenders and cocktail waitresses. Immediately upon becoming lucid I was ecstatic and walked up to the cute girl bartender. Now that I think about it...I have to stop and wonder what happened to my morality. I walked up to her and said something along the lines of, "mind if I fondle your breasts a bit?" and without waiting for an answer I just started grabbing her boobs and sort of laughing about it. She didn't seem to mind too much though. I looked across the room and saw a group of guys just hanging out around this large hole in the floor. It was a circular hole, maybe 7 feet in diameter...and there was a railing all around the edge of it. The guys were just hanging out and having a drink, leaning against the railing. As I walked over I noticed that the hole was completely black...there was nothing but darkness...like a black void or bottomless pit. I decided to show off. I climbed up so I was standing on the railing and proclaimed, "hey, guys! look what I can do!" ...and I climbed over the railing and stepped out over the hole and just sort of hovered there for a few seconds. They were all very impressed and watching what I was doing. But then...I began to slowly sink down into the blackness. Shiiit! I thought. I tried to fly up out of it but I couldn't. There was nothing beneath my feet and I was just slowly sinking into the darkness. Sooo I decided to just go with it and see what I could find in the darkness. I tried to think that there would be a basement to the club down there and tried to form a club around me but I couldn't. I was completely immersed inside the black void. I floated around...again trying to form some sort of dreamscape. But all I could form were very vague outlines of shadowy people, just barely discernible in the blackness. Damn. I was getting annoyed...floating around in nothing. It felt as though, my consciousness had sunk into blackness. As though, my brain had stopped doing whatever magical thing it was doing before to create these beautiful dream images. Ah ha! I realized what I needed to do. I needed to stimulate a certain part of my brain. So I focused my attention and tried to stare out of the top of my forehead. There was a straining sort of pressure at first...then I felt the buzzing start up disk...and images and colors began to swirl around me. Suddenly I was enjoying a new vivid dreamscape. It gets a bit blurry here, as I was with some old friends. But at some point in the lucid dream, a certain famous and very attractive celebrity showed up. Let's just call him E for the sake of not naming names. We spent a lot of time together and then decided that we wanted to share a dream. So we laid down and went to sleep, and I found myself in another dream. It took me a little bit to find him again. This was an extremely long and involved lucid dream but I can barely remember any of it. At first I think I had sort of lost lucidity. But when I saw him again I said, "I can't believe this is actually happening." And he said...in a sad way...."it's not. It's just a dream." I laughed, and at that point and remembered that it was our dream and regained my full lucidity. There's one part of the dream that I remember... There was a beautiful sunset. We were by the sea. He was holding me like he never wanted to let go, and kept saying that he was afraid of losing me. I kept saying, "I wish this was real. Why can't this be real. I don't want this to be a dream." I remember this ridiculous amount of beautiful sadness and melodrama about the whole situation. I don't remember at what point or why we agree to wake up...but I think it had to do with the fact that I wanted it to be real and I knew it wasn't. But we decided to wake up. Now this part is shocking to me...because I thought I would just wake up into the real world. But when I woke up, I woke up into the dream I was in before. The same one. I was in the same room where I had laid down to go to sleep to dream with him...except he was gone. I didn't see him again after that. I remember being really confused, because I had just...without any doubt...had a dream within a dream. Without even meaning to...and after having told people that I do not think it is even possible, and that Inception is just a movie. A move that I don't even like! It's like my subconscious was out to prove something to me. Which is that...it is very possible to have a dream within a dream. So I will just shut up about Inception from now on. I remember floating down by a beach and I saw a pirate ship. Oooo I got excited. I'm going to meet Captain Jack Sparrow! I ran down to the pirate ship and climbed aboard. It was completely empty so I walked to the cabin and opened the door. Right as I opened the door Captain Jack walks out and gives me this look. Ok, you know...the Jack Sparrow look. I wanted to laugh. He was so sexy I wanted to kiss him. I remember thinking that he might smell though, because he's sort of dirty. I think he said something to me and I went into his cabin with him. I think I woke up shortly after.
Shortly after watching the movie "Inception" I experienced a lucid dream within a lucid dream. I will try to explain, I know it can be very confusing when trying to wrap your head around something like this so try to stick with me. The dream started with me becoming lucid, in a house similar to my own. I decided to lay on the bed and goto sleep to see if I could enter a dream within the dream. It only took a few seconds and I was in a new dream, still lucid. I had a lot of fun in this dream but eventually it started to fade, and when it did I found myself back in the first lucid dream I was in. I couldn't believe it, I was like holy s^*t! what have I stumbled across? So what did I do? I went to sleep again and entered the same lucid dream within the lucid dream I was just in. After having even more fun in this incredible 2nd lucid dream, it once again started to fade. Guess where I ended up again? yep, in the 1st LD. I couldn't believe my luck! This whole dream within a dream thing was acting like a safety barrier, preventing me from waking up IRL. I was able to do this one more time (count it thats 3 times = 6 LD's) but I couldn't get back into the 2nd LD quick enough that last time so I woke up IRL. Well I hope you stayed with me through all that and actually understood it. This was an amazing experience! Did I stumble across something? a new technique for prolonging LD's perhaps? could this work everytime? for everyone? or was it just my mind playing tricks on me?
Just what the title says. No, I haven't already quit. I just had to take some MORE time off from lucid dreaming unexpectedly thanks to getting sick. But now that I'm 99% better, I can start again with documenting my average dreams and work towards making them lucid once again. I don't recall my dreams from last night, but I do recall an interesting dream from the night before, so I'll summarize it now. The dream began as a false awakening. I got out of bed and was about to begin my daily routine when I decided to go back to sleep for a few more minutes. So that's just what I did; I got back in bed and lay my head down and I was out. Now I was in a dream within a dream (notice the darker text indicating a deeper level?). I found myself standing on the edge of a vast canyon and exploring the surrounding area. Something didn't feel right, but I couldn't tell what. After about a half hour of looking around and finding nothing interesting, I decided to lie down and go to sleep. Now in layer 3 of the dream, I found myself at a friend's dorm at the college he goes to...only the actual layout of the place was nothing like the real-world college. The dream explained it away as remodeling, and I never caught on that it was a dream. My friend was asking me about dreams, particularly lucid ones, and if it would be possible to share dreams. "Sure it's possible, I've done it before." I said. "We could do it right now in fact, if I can manage a WILD." "Well, want to give it a try?" He asked. I agreed to try, so we lay down and went to sleep. I was now in layer 4 of the dream, aware that I was dreaming, and in a white void. All around me all I saw was white. I couldn't move anywhere or speak, and when I tried, it simply woke me up into the previous layer of the dream. "Did you do it?" My friend asked. "Yeah, but I couldn't stay in for some reason." In another moment, I woke up from that dream and into the layer before it. I was only at this one a split second before I shot up into the air as the dream faded out into the first layer, and I sat up in my bed. "That was a crazy dream!" I said to myself as I climbed out of bed. Then I woke up for real, and was totally disoriented from all the waking up
