    1. Hilarious Conveyor Belt Lucidity Fail

      by , 08-04-2018 at 02:04 PM
Morning of August 4, 2018. Saturday.

      Dream #: 18,856-02. Reading tim: 1 min 40 sec.

I am watching television with Zsuzsanna. It may be our present address on W Street, though the focus is mainly only on the imagery on the television screen, which at times seems very close and three-dimensional, though not as if I am at the locations as in other dreams.

It is a reality show about conveyor belts in different locations. The whole show mostly features items and people moving on conveyor belts.

A baby is lying on a moving conveyor belt at one point. They are moving from right to left in all the scenes.

At one point, the sawed-in-half woman from “Beetlejuice” (from 1988) is on the conveyor belt, except that it is Winona Ryder in the role. Her upper half is smoking a cigarette. Although the scene is strange, my dream self perceives it as “real.”

As threads of my conscious self identity become more viable in the waking process, I see two doll-sized men sitting on the conveyor belt. That seems wrong to me, as I know that all the previous scenes were “real.” I am considering telling Zsuzsanna that this is a fake event. I can see two unfamiliar normal-sized people in the background, with the miniature men in the foreground.

As I think of talking about the fake part of the show, which seems to be the last segment of the episode, one of the tiny men relates that it is a test, implying effects and camera operation. (I had first thought it was an attempt to fool the audience.)

My dream self perceived the living sawed-in-half woman as real, without question (even though the movie reference itself is erroneous as Winona Ryder was in a different role), yet when the small men appeared after this, I knew it was special effects. That is often how the reactive representation of the waking process works, as I move closer to full consciousness and viable thinking skills. The same transition exists in thousands of previous dreams. It has nothing to do with “interpretation” (an idea shared by people who do not understand what the dream state is) but is a factor of the waking process itself, which anyone of reasonable intelligence would understand. It is similar to associations with liminal space where the waking process renders itself as features such as a jigsaw puzzle, detective, or an attempt to read something for cognitive arousal. It is in contrast to when RAS modulation uses conflict or unrealistic events to create the distinction and emotional reaction that triggers waking.

As a ten (or thereabouts) year old kid (In 2001) I had dreams.

I had been thinking of the movie Home Alone prior to bed. So I went to sleep, and then was in a house. I was talking to someone dressed as Santa Claus (The same guy who was the Santa in the movie whose car stalled out) who was on a bed, and a fire (like from the fire swamp in "The Princess Bride") came up from beneath the bed and roasted him. There were more fires in the house but I do believe I escaped them all.

      ___

Another time around the same year give or take one or two, perhaps was another nightmare. I do believe this shows what hell is like! So there were some people there, and torture devices were there too. One man wasn't looking where he was going and was then sawed in half (he yelled once he hit the saw and put his arms out but didn't back off) as he was on a conveyor belt going straight into a band-saw.

      _______

      Notes:

OUCH. These are some vivid revelations, are they not? You really should be careful; that one guy was on a conveyor belt not paying attention and just standing, though he was facing imminent destruction and he yelled only once he hit the saw. It's crazy and insane to not jump off the conveyor belt!

LOOK FIRST! If it's safe (IF IT'S SAFE OR IF YOU'LL BE HURT IF YOU WON'T LEAP!) THEN LEAP!
    3. She's Moving Her Eyes Too Much While Reading the Teleprompter

She's Moving Her Eyes Too Much While Reading the Teleprompter (DILD)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

I’m holding a teleprompter for a female, and she looks Hispanic, and maybe around her mid-twenties. She has long black hair, and the outer edges of her eyes seems to be curved slightly upward, or it could be the illusion of the black makeup she has around them.

I’m analyzing how she’s moving her eyes, and whether or not she can properly state what’s on the teleprompter without making it obvious that she’s reading it. I had to do many “cuts” because she’s just not getting the habit down at all, and each time there is a cut, it’s as if the dream blanks out on me, and then comes back to life again.

She gets better over time, but she still isn’t making significant improvements, or maybe I was being too strict on the girl. She’s trying her best not to laugh, and not make this dream end up being a series of bloopers on her end.

The environment was most likely a grocery retail store, seeing how there’s cashier stations that are akin to one I go to frequently. I noticed the conveyor belts are going in the opposite direction, i.e., if you were to put an item on the belt, it would basically come back to you.

It feels awkward filming this female when I’m close to a conveyor belt, especially when my peripheral vision keeps making me have sensations of being bothered by it.
