    1. 2 Oct: Portal to 'wonderland' world

      by , 10-02-2013 at 12:25 PM (Lucid-schizo-dreamer)
non-dream dream semi-lucid lucid false awakening

(...) With some friends, we're invited to enter a fabulous property of a colleague. with an old palace-house and abandoned gardens around. He explains this house belonged to a writer who created a novel like "Alice in Wonderland" and argued it was based on real experiences he had on the property. He describes to us the world that guy wrote about and it sounds awfully a lot with my plunging into the dream worlds and lucid dreaming experiences. So I do believe the guy really lived those things. And then I become lucid.
Then our friend reveals that he had also encountered the actual place where the writer said was the passage to this other world. He takes us there and it is a stone paved patio, with columns around and when he touches something, the columns move and create this strange effect on the air, like a mirrored surface and we realize a portal is opened. A giant spider pulling a wagon appears, covered in ants on her back. The ants move to the ground and open a kind of hatch on the back of the spider, where they insert a hose. They are pumping organic matter to serve as food to the spider, just like fuel to a car. Then they close the hatch and hop on the spider again. We're invited to sit on the wagon and off we go through the portal. We pass by the most incredible landscapes and I try to absorb everything I see, but it's just too much. I can only recall a town where people were pink bunnies in suits and then as we approached what seemed like a worm hole, the landscape became completely geometric and abstract, like a patchwork, moving rapidly around us. We get sucked into a funel made of this patchwork and start free-falling. The others are freaking out, but I enjoy every minute of it.
When it stops, we are back to the starting point, or so it seems. It is again the old palace, but I notice it has some differences. It is quiet as if time didn't pass over here. There is an eerie golden light all around. I enter a room whose walls are covered in beautiful and varied pieces of arts and crafts, from pottery, to fine ceramics, to glass and iron, to paintings. They are so different, yet form a very harmonious ensemble. I try to memorize every detail, but the one thing that strikes me, is a bege colored painting of what seems to be Mary, Joseph and baby Jesus, but in which Mary and Joseph are grey aliens and baby Jesus is a radiant disk, which leaves me wondering if it is a sun or a flying saucer.
We go outside and the golden light is shining over the trees, so beautifully. We head for the nearest town and I feel a bit disappointed because it looks pretty normal. It's like a 50's town with futuristic touch, but very chaotic and messy. The only thing I find appealing it is a public transportation system similar to a monorail, but with individual bumping cars in which people hop-in
      . I wake up...
    2. Old Storm/New Storm (Between August 20 2011 and August 21 2011) --- Second Dream

by , 10-29-2011 at 02:09 AM (Oneiric Mirror)
      I'm at Charles Xavier´s mansion. I´m an X-Men.
      I'm Wolverine.

The mansion is white with brown doors. It has tall columns, white as well.

In a room is Gambit and Storm . In another room is a younger Storm.
She wants to be the successor of the older one.
The older Storm, doesn´t think the new one is good enough to succeed her.

I decide to test the new one and we both go to the Danger Room to train.

She flies a bit and then lands in front of me.

She raises her hands and I see, from the the tips of her fingers, yellow rays coming out in cascade.
I think that the visual effect is very poorly done.
We struggled a little, and I think she's got enough technique.
The wooden door separating the room of Gambit and the Danger Room is closed, and suddenly it is covered with a metal door that closes and locks us into the Danger Room.
I look at the window and i think:
"I'm Wolverine,i have mutant healing factor, so I do not think it will cost nothing if i throw myself through the window.
I think the pieces of glass will not hurt me at all."
I run towards the window and run through it. I Land on the other side, the porch, without any pain.
    3. Columns

      by , 09-06-2007 at 05:01 PM
Morning of September 6, 2007. Thursday.

The first part of this dream concerns columns (under the foundation) of a newer high school - it seems as if it might be the one at Kepnock, though the building in my dream is completely different at ground level. There is a discovery of human bones inside the columns (almost as if there had been an implied archaeological interest), and there is concern over how this could have happened. However, there is this very clear feeling that the new school, for some reason in my dream only, was apparently built in also somehow involving the death of certain families or teenagers and the government “covering it up” (no pun intended) - an idea of which was possibly borrowed by the low-rated movie “The Haunting” from 1999.

Later on, though, the original columns seem more ancient and seem to be part of some sort of ancient plumbing system in which water and debris is “backing up” into the building, which draws in more archaeologists and such. There is something eerie about the entire affair. There are sets of columns that read something like “ITSBE”. There also seems to be some sort of religious awareness (early Christian Italy, or some such) but I am not quite sure or focused enough to determine what it is.

A little later, when I am awake, my wife tells me that the drainage system has been overflowing and that water keeps coming back out, which is the first time this has happened at this address, the problem being relative to street level access, so this was a precognitive layer.

    4. Banana Boat

      by , 09-02-1978 at 03:02 PM
Morning of September 2, 1968. Monday.

In my dream, in readying myself for starting school on Tuesday September 3, 1968, my transportation will apparently be a banana boat. It will seemingly be as such for about two weeks regarding the somewhat unclear back story, as apparently the school buses are all broken down and will not be fixed until a couple weeks from now.

At one point, it mostly seems as if the cargo boat is somehow going over land rather than any body of water. There is the sighting of a mischievous monkey near the top of a crane that looks somewhat like a sketchy charcoal drawing at one point. At times, the many bananas lying around do not seem exactly like bananas, though many have likely been mangled or flattened somehow.

At one point, there are a number of small columns, about waist high, each topped with at least two or three bunches of bananas. (It reminds me vaguely of the layout of a drive-in theater.)

Students are wandering around, but soon, I do not see anyone but a few adults and they seem to be shopping (buying bananas only). I wonder if I am in the right place.

It is only a guess that this dream was most influenced by “Day-O (The Banana Boat Song)” by Harry Belafonte (especially the association with the line “I wanna go home” in anticipation of an unknown new semester), as my sister Marilyn had the record, though I mostly heard it in 1966.

Another influence might have been associations with my new lunch box for second grade (of the same kind as shown), as it was yellowish (but then so are school buses) and vaguely reminiscent of a banana (the handle was yellowish and curved).

It is probably far more revealing to say “It reminds me vaguely of the layout of the desks of a classroom” than suggesting a drive-in theater here, though it was outside and it was a genuine reflection at the time - perhaps contemplating being in a classroom again yet still with the additional potential of outside freedom - though inside/outside ambiguity is fairly common in my dreams - though exotic and highly unlikely outside settings sometimes seem bilocated in an inside familiar location; for example, at one point (though not throughout that particular dream) the “large desert” in “Beyond the Martian Time Barrier / The Martian Casket” was seemingly somehow “of” and “in” the living room of my Cubitis home while still seeming like a “real” desert setting including even the larger expanse of land and the sky overhead - it was only as my dream was ending that I became more aware of where I “really” seemed to be mentally as walls and floor began to partially come into focus.
