    1. Writing in the Sandbox

      My friend dared me to try writing an understandable message in my next lucid dream, so I decided to make this a priority instead of my current lucid goals.

      The dream began with me standing out on the sidewalk. I was in an area of the city that looked very much like the photograph below, standing on the sidewalk to the far right. I edited the photo to contain the colors and atmosphere of the area as well.


      There were only three or four people, I realized, as I scanned the area. Almost immediately I knew that I was dreaming, but I was a bit skeptical (as with many mid-level lucidities) so I looked at my hands. This reality check failed, as both of them only had five fingers that looked close to normal. I then did the nose-plug reality check, however, and it worked perfectly.

      I looked around, dream-spinning slowly to prevent the dream from destabilizing. I saw the buildings beside me and a person standing behind me, looking uninterested. I then remembered the task my friend told me to try out in a dream, so I turned around to look beside me, expecting a sandbox to be there. It was small, around sixteen square feet in area, but it would work. I picked up a long stick I summoned just by reaching down and "knowing" it would be there, and began to write in the sand.

      I improvised what I would write down. The lines the stick made were wider than they should have been, but I still managed to spell something out. The letters looked like letters, which turned into words that looked like words:

      "Yo, this is rad" in capital letters.

    2. Underground City

      Last night I had two very similar dreams in that it was the same place, same people I was with, and the same "goal" of the dream, or what I was tying to do.

      #1: I was in some sort of city that was underground riding my bike with me sister and a friend. There were houses to the left and a thin platform about 2 feet wide that we rode our bikes on. To the right was about a 5 foot drop into a river that was really murky and smelled funny.

      We started riding along the small path that was much like thin 2x4s laid next to each other. We drove past a few houses and I say another friend of mine siting on his porch just staring off into the distance. I waved to him and he said "Hey, what's goin' on?"
      "Just riding our bikes," I replied, "Wanna come?"
      "Nah I can't" And so he stayed there, sitting on his porch.

      We rode down this small ramp that was there on the trail and had to make a small turn to the right only the trail narrowed to about 2 inches wide. I was the first to go and just sped through it hoping I wouldn't fall in. Then came my sister, and third was her friend. About 15 feet down the trail it ended into a very narrow alley which was about a foot wide, just enough for a small adult to fit through.

      I started to squeeze through it only to notice that it got narrower as it went. Worst yet was that when I was about 2 feet from the outside I got stuck and a giant spider about the size of a CD started walking towards my face from where I just was. I'm normally not afraid of spiders but this one was a bit too big and out of my comfort zone.

      I started wriggling as hard as I could and right before it got to me I managed to squeeze all the way our and was in another alley, only this one was of normal size and a good 10 feet wide. Before I could get a good look around
      I woke up.

      #2: Later that same night I had a dream that was very similar, only this time it included more of my friend and stayed underground.

      It was the same setting as last time, even the same spot we started at and the same people were with me. We started riding up this hill and once we were at the top we noticed somebody was there and was taking a sobriety test. I couldn't tell who it was but I noticed that he had to walk in a straight line placing one foot over the other (Like a normal sobriety test would)I couldn't tell who it was since it was so dark, so I went behind the housed on our left and started looking around for a flashlight. I noticed a wooden table with some tools on it and there were also two flashlights, a red and a yellow one. I picked each up to see if it had batteries in it and the yellow seemed rather heavy so I grabbed it and walked back over to the officers.

      I shined it on him and noticed that it was my friend who was taking the test. I said, "Hey, whats going on? Were you drinking or something?"
      "No," he replied cautiously. "Not a lot anyway."
      The officers then decided to let him go and walked away. I asked him again, "You wanna come for a ride?"
      "No thanks" he said again.
      "Okay, how about just a walk then?"
      "Alright, that sounds good." And so he started to walk with us.

      The same narrow part in the trail was there still but since we were walking, we just jumped right over it. We came to the same narrow alley and this time I noticed two spiders, both as big as the last. One was black and fuzzy, like a tarantula. The other was a yellow and black combination with black on part of it's back and yellow every where else.
      (If this sounds like an actual type of spider please say something) I decided this time I would kill the spiders first and then go through the passage. I stepped down near the river and grabbed a remote control that was laying on the floor (?)and smacked the black spider once and knocked it off the wall. My friend then grabbed my hand and yelled, "What the heck are you doing!?"
      "Killing the spider so I can go through," I replied, a little confused. It was at this point that he started shaking me and I could feel the dream fading. I then knew it was a dream but it was too late

    3. Flying and the Sky Interface

      This is a dream added from a few months earlier.

      It must have been my home city according to my subconscious, but it looked different. Although it had many similar buildings, there was a huge river running near the middle of the city, directly through it from one end to the other. I knew this before I actually took off and flew.

      I started out in a restaurant; it was an Italian-style restaurant with burgundy walls, gold accents and thick gold trim snaking around the middle of the walls. There were only a few tables and chairs, even though the restaurant was a larger size. I walked outside after standing around for a little while and I saw my mother walking towards me. "Hey Puffin," she told me casually and waved, then walked closer and looked around a bit. "You're dreaming," she told me quietly.

      I usually don't become lucid if a DC tells me that I'm dreaming, but this time I did. "Yes!" I exclaimed loudly and bolted away, completely ignoring any reaction my mother might have had. I attempted to push myself off the ground without the help of anything. I managed to get a quite a few feet, but I only floated for a few moments and then fell back to the ground on my back. Flapping my arms didn't help. I imagined being alright after the fall, even though in reality it would have hurt me, and I was okay; the dream didn't end.

      I decided to summon wings, and this worked. I couldn't see them, but I could see the shadow of them as they appeared behind me. I managed to take off and began accelerating over the city, traveling faster and faster. I had to push myself every few seconds because the speed would start to wane, but it was okay. I looked down at the city, and I could see everything, including the empty areas around it. I then turned my attention to the sky, which was a dark blue. Nighttime.

      I decided to try something different and instead of saying "increase daylight" or something similar, I poked my index finger out against a currently invisible interface. Then, a keyboard appeared, the keys transparent against the sky but each outlined with a white border. I didn't pay attention to what the keys said, but I simply stated, "change to noon". The sky changed very quickly, and now it was a mixture of normal light daytime color, yellow, and shades of purple and pink.

    4. Teacher Issue

      The lucidity in this dream was very high! It almost felt like I was awake and totally aware. Although, I wouldn't have considered myself superlucid, as I didn't have too much control over a specific DC within the dream...

      I can't remember too much, but I do remember that I was on the sidewalk at the beginning, next to some average city buildings. A couple of them were short, built from burgundy and red bricks, and others were stucco. It was a potluck of different buildings, but it looked pretty normal. I became lucid from a blast of awareness, and I observed the dream for a few seconds, just looking at the details of the location and breathing in the air. I did an RC for fun by looking at my palm, and I had seven fingers all fanned out on my right hand. I looked down the street and thought about what I could do.

      Suddenly, I saw my Healthy Lifestyles class teacher walking down the sidewalk, in her gray yoga pants and a black hoodie. She came towards me and said angrily, "you, get back to school!"

      This unnerved me slightly, but I managed to keep most of my lucidity without losing focus. "You have to go, now!" she continued.

      I told her that this was a dream. I also stated that I was right in the middle of deciding what to do, and to please leave me alone. I didn't want to disrespect her, even though she was just a DC. She told me that I wasn't dreaming, and to stop being silly, but I persisted. She made a rude remark and stalked away.

      I'm in a car with some people, and one of the guys has a golden sticker of the letters "bp" on his face, next to his ear. The sticker had appeared there because he took some drugs. I then take "bp", which is a pill. I'm in the backseat of the car, and we are driving on the highway. As I look out the window, I see that the city is unbelievably colorful. I see animated bright purple ribbons attaching to buildings, and gold ribbons too. HUGE Pink, blue, green, red, yellow, and orange ribbons. I say, "I never knew Jacksonville could be so colorful." I watch as the different colored patterns fly around the sky and dance and become part of the city.

      Mystery Threat:
      My sister was going to take some summer course and she filled out the form. I decided to join her on the second day, there was also something else that I decided to do as well that I can't recall. I'm not sure where we went or what happened after but I find myself on a planet that seems to have been ravaged by war. It was very dark, cloudy, stormy and it seems that there were a lot of buildings that have been wrecked and abandoned. I was in the street with a bunch of people that I didn't know, but, can't recall seeing them, just knowing that they were there standing behind me. We were all looking west towards a building. This building had a metal tunnel that was expanding towards another building. The tunnel was supposed to connect the two buildings together and it seems that it was the only way out of this war ravaged city. I do recall, but, can't remember when it happened, clinging to the tunnel to try to get to the first building, but, had to hide from two drones that were circling the tunnel.



      Sensing the presence of others, I looked ahead to see a large group of people. They were all wearing black with black bandanas covering their mouth and only revealing their eyes. They had axes in their hands which had black handles and a silver axe hand. It seems that we knew who they were and have had confortations in the past. We launched at each other with great speed. A couple of axes were thrown my way and I dodged them hoping that they missed my companions behind me. Another was thrown which I ended up blocking with my right hand and I was able to pick up another axe which I planned to use against an oncoming enemy.

      Dream skips and we are all in a warehouse which is in the shape of an inverted C. They occupied the top half and we, the bottom half. It seems that I have made a bomb to use against them, it was in the shape of a balloon with rods sticking out of it. I threw it at them. They bounced it and got it stuck near the ceiling in the middle of the warehouse. We got it down and one of our members almost backstabbed us by making some odd sign first signalling the backstabbing but she threw it anyways. She ended up joining me and a friend of mine after jumping behind a wooden sheet to hide from the explosion. They threw it back to us yet again. A friend called R, caught it and began saying the time left. We were surprised that he was still holding onto it and beckoned him to throw it back. He did and they didn't have much of a chance to throw it back at us since, it hit their hands and bounced up in the air right above them. At this point, the time ran out and it was about to explode. I looked from behind the wooden sheet to see the impact. When it exploded, I don't recall seeing an explosion, mostly just the sound and then there was an eye, similar to the eye of a hurricane.



      Air started circling around this eye which was just a small circle very fast and it started to suck them up and out of the building. They vowed revenge and that someone will get me. After they were all sucked out and everything calmed down, something similar to a scoreboard showed up in my vision detailing the amount of people left using people icons. It had an orange background with people icons using different colors to stand out.

      Thoughts: Very nice, long, intense dream. Would have been nice to know more details about the first fight and the background

    8. Last Night with the Amethyst Stone

      I feel like I had some interesting dreams yesterday, but they were forgotten as soon as I woke up. Three lucids last night, though.

      1- Forgetful
      I randomly become lucid, but I take a huge leap into the air just to make sure. Yeah, there's no way I'd be able to jump ten feet in real life. So... what am I supposed to do? I ponder over my goals, but for the life of me I can't remember them.

      Suddenly I have a huge kite in my hand. Cool, this should be fun to fly with. Holding the kite against my back, I take a running leap and soar through the air. Suddenly, I "remember" one of my goals. I'm supposed to use this kite to fly over to visit the man who lives next door.
      ((Why can I never recognize false memories while I'm dreaming? Especially when they're rather absurd like that.)) I wake up shortly afterward.

      2- Snapped
      I am at some weird event... There are a lot of people around who I don't know. I'm supposed to be socializing, but it's really awkward trying to make conversation.

      Suddenly, my phone rings. It's my mom. I answer it, grateful to have an excuse to walk away from everyone. I notice that my phone seems to be showing everything that my mom is doing. "That's weird," I tell her, "I know my phone doesn't have video on it. How are you doing that?" Suddenly, I see my next door neighbor Dee Dee come onto the screen. She brutally kills both my mom and my dad. I get sucked into the scene, hungry for revenge.

      Dee Dee doesn't realize I'm here. I stealthily sneak up behind her and knock her to the ground. Pinning her down with one foot, I use the other to slowly and painfully snap her neck. The bone juts out from the skin, and a little trickle of blood runs down from the wound. I am both disturbed and fascinated at the same time.


      I randomly become lucid and go inside. I decide that it would be best if I just entered a different dream. So I lie down on the floor and close my eyes...

      I immediately exit the dream and enter SP. I decide I will count this as a WILD, for lack of a better name. I wait for my body to regain feeling... and wait.... and wait... and wait. Okay, it seems like I've been paralyzed for WAY longer than usual. I'm gonna have to force it. After a bit of struggling, I finally manage to...

      3- Freefall

      ...pry myself out of my body. I do an RC just to make sure, but I know I'm dreaming. Unfortunately, the previous dream must have still been on my mind. I realize that I am once again at the scene of the murder. And guess who's not dead?

      I decide not to fight this time. I take off on all fours into the woods, bounding at high speed. This is much easier than running on two legs... I briefly consider morphing into a wolf, but I get distracted. Hm, it seems like I'm getting really tired. But I'm dreaming, there's no need for me to stop. My body says otherwise. I am simply too tired to run anymore. I begin to speculate. Maybe it's my energy body getting tired, then.


      Somewhere along the line, I forget I'm dreaming. I am no longer myself, either. I seem to be a man in my late 30's, being chased by the evil kid from Sharkboy and Lavagirl. Idk what his name is IRL, but in the dream it's Clyde.

      I have already killed Clyde multiple times, but he always finds a way to come back. He says he learned the ability to regenerate from the Planet of the Starfish.

      I am in a futuristic city, looking at this weird robot dancing in the middle of the street. Her whole body is made of metal, but her head is that of a human. "Wow, that looks like a real head," I tell the girl I'm traveling with. She begins to tell me what model the robot is, and explains how hi-tech it is. She uses a lot of strange words, though, and I don't have a clue what she means.

      Suddenly, the robot starts trying to kill me. Turns out that it's Clyde in another one of his disguises.


      In my effort to escape Clyde, I end up on the side of a bridge, lucid again. I'm really high up... seems like it would be fun to jump off.

      It's not. I'm halfway to the ground before my vision catches up with my body, and when it does I have that terrible falling sensation in the pit of my stomach. This can be enjoyable in small doses, but I am just SO HIGH that the fall seems endless. Finally it jolts me into a false awakening.

      Note: I started off with a couple of goals for the night. My first one was to go with MoSh to the Grand Canyon and find a city that is supposed to be hidden there.

      I woke up in bed. I rolled over and opened my eyes. I didn't feel sleepy. It looked like this was going to be one of those times when I wouldn't be able to get back to sleep. Crap… that doesn't happen to me very often, and it seems like it just happened… but now again? I got out of bed and figured I'd get a drink and hope I was wrong. I walked out of my room and into a hall that is much longer than my waking life house. That was odd… odd enough to trigger a RC. I discovered that I was dreaming.

      I stopped to think about my goals for the night. My first goal was to meet up with MoSh and head for the city that is supposedly hidden in the Grand Canyon. So I opened a portal to MoSh's inner world and went through it…

      I entered MoSh's inner world where I often do, right in front of his house. Everything there was bright and sunny. It was a nice day in MoSh's inner world. I walked up to the front door and knocked on it. The door opened soon, and I went inside. It was nice inside, too. I was glad to see it was bright and pleasant instead of dark and creepy as I have seen it so many times before. Asuka was just coming into the room. She said MoSh had told her I would be over. She had some cookies with her and she handed me a couple. They were chocolate cookies with dark chocolate and white chocolate chips in it… yum… MoSh came out shortly later. I asked him if he was lucid. He said sure. I asked if he would remember this dream. He said no. I told him that wasn't good… do a RC… this is a dream. He said he already knew he was dreaming. I said then he should remember the dream. But for now we would go. I opened a portal to the Grand Canyon. A portal opened and both MoSh and I went through…

      MoSh and I were now standing on the rim of the Grand Canyon… and it was quite a view. I have seen it a couple of times, but it has been a long time and its beauty still amazed me. MoSh stood there looking at the canyon for a while. I told him we had better get going if we were going to find the cave before one of us woke up. I took MoSh by the hand and jumped off the edge of the canyon wall. We both flew down into the canyon. I wasn't sure where to find the entrance to this hidden city. I remembered Lonewolf saying something about tornados guarding the entrance… so a wind elemental. But hadn't he also said the tornado was an ally? But an ally to who? An ally to peaceful visitors? An ally to the people who used to live in the city? I wasn't really sure what that meant…

      MoSh and I flew low in the canyon for a while. I looked at the sides of the canyon. I didn't see any signs of wind elementals or of suspicious caves. I wondered if we were even going the right direction. I landed on the ground and looked around for a bit. This really stank… where would I go now? I looked over at MoSh. He was over by the river. I went over to see MoSh. MoSh was skipping rocks. I tried to get his attention. He looked over at me and said hello. I asked if he was still lucid. He said sure. I didn't think he was acting like himself. But I was still confused on how to find this city. And about who this wind elemental ally was... or had I read it wrong? Tornado alley? Lots of tornados? Wait a minute… there's no tornado alley in the Grand Canyon! That wouldn't make any sense! I was running out of ideas… the canyon is a huge place. I wasn't going find the cave by looking around like that. I had to use a different approach.

      I went over to MoSh and told him I was going to try something different. I took hold of both of MoSh's hands and focused on teleportation. It isn't my strong point, but I wasn't sure how else to track the cave down. So I focused on teleportation, also focusing on taking MoSh with me. I focused on what I wanted to find even though I wasn't sure exactly what I was looking for. I focused on it, and for a bit it seemed like nothing was going to happen. MoSh was giving me a strange look as I was holding both of his hands. He gave me a strange smile. Then the teleportation worked. The scene around MoSh and me completely shifted.

      MoSh and I were floating over water… and I had not realized we would be floating. We both dropped into the water with a splash. Both of us came to the surface. I floated out of the water and into the air, MoSh followed me. We were now looking directly at a cave in the canyon wall. We floated over to the cave and landed right in the entrance. It was dark inside the cave. I wondered how far back into the canyon wall it went.

      MoSh and I followed the passage back into the passage. It got dark rather quickly. I summoned a light and we continued going back farther. The passage also seemed to be slanted down. I saw writing on the sides of the passage that looked like ancient hieroglyphics. The passage finally ended in a circular room. More passages led off in all directions. There were beautiful carvings, statues, other assorted artifacts. I looked at one of the statues. It looked more like an Egyptian artifact than what I had expected.

      I hadn't really been sure what I was expecting, but I think I was expecting something related to native American culture. I looked at some of the artifacts there and then we just kind of chose a passage at random and headed down it. I had no idea where it went or if we might get completely lost, but it didn't really matter since we were dreaming. I looked at some hieroglyphics on the wall. I wished I knew what some of it meant, but none of it means anything to me MoSh and I explored the caverns for a while longer until I realized he was gone. I figured he had woken up. It wasn't very long after that when I woke up.
    10. NYC Police

      I was a New York City police officer. I pulled up to a Subway to get something to eat. It is a rule that cops have to keep there car running so we just got out and walked inside. This next part makes me think that the rest of the dream is semi-lucid When we walked in, there were 4 gangsters inside. I think I was semi-lucid because I knew that it was a dream and that when they walked out, they were going to steal my car. I even told my partner as we were walking in they were going to steal our car. I even grabbed my gun and was going to pull it out, but remember that they hadn't done anything and I shouldn't make a scene. So they walked past us and went outside. I watched every little thing that they did, so I could react the second they got in my car. But it looked like they got in their own car. So I stopped paying attention for a split second and as soon as I turned back around, I heard tires screeching.

      So we dropped everything and ran outside but the car was already pulling put of the parking lot. We didn't have a car to chase them down with! Right when I thought that, a girl with long, brown hair comes zooming up in a little, red ford ranger. She gets out and I remember that she was extremely pretty. She gets out and tells us to take the car and go chase them down. She also gives us some ammo for our guns. So we both get in and I'm the one driving. We pull out and zoom down the road. Theres a bunch of traffic, but I can see them way up the road zooming in and out of traffic. So we keep driving and get stuck behind two very large bicycles. They have normal frames, but abnormally large wheels!


      So I zoom past them and get to a end to the road and I can either go left or right. Since we're in a hurry and I cannot see them anymore, I have to make a quick decision. I picked left, and we go around but theres still no sign of them. So we go around and are driving kind of slow because we're looking for them. We come to an intersection and there they are! But they don't have the car, they are just walking down the street. So we pull up next to them, and jump out of the car. I yell, "Don't move, or I will shoot!" And they keep walking. So I repeated myself and they kept walking. So I finally shot the first shot. And then, a little war ensued. We were both shooting at each other but no one ever hit anyone. After 20 or so shots were fired, they ran over across the street to an old, dilapidated building. They ran up the stairs and at the top, there was a sort of gate. They shut the gate and were on the porch.

      All but three went inside so I shot at the guy standing on the front porch. I shot once and missed. So I ran behind a car to take cover. Then I aimed back at the guy and took a very careful shot. I aimed and fired and shot him right in the heart. Then I fired another right after that and hit him in the abdominal area. I saw the two spot where I hit him start to soak up with blood. I got on my radio and called for medical support. One of the gangsters came outside and was furious that his friend was shot and looked around and started shooting at us. We shot back but no one was ever hit. He ran back inside.

      The dream ended with a scene of dice being thrown and some poker chips and a narrator's voice saying, "I've never been much on the crazy side, only smoke half a pack a day." and the dream fades out.

      I am sure this is what a "semi-lucid" dream is because while I don't remember being fully conscious during any part of the dream, I'm pretty sure I was aware I was dreaming. And even though I wasn't actually controlling the dream, most the things that happened in the dream, I thought of in advance. EG. When the car was stolen, I needed a car an the pretty girl showed up. Or when I knew that they were going to steal my car before they actually did it.

    11. A Three Lucid Morning

      Woah, I'm glad I decided to go back to sleep.

      1- Puppy with a Thousand Names
      I just bought a cute little dachshund puppy, but I can't come up with a name. Everytime I think of one I like, I forget it and come up with something else. To start with I'm calling her Doris, then Matilda, then Samantha...

      I teach her how to play fetch.... She's just so cuuute!


      2- Battle of Fire and Water
      I am surrounded by evil monks. My master is wounded; this battle is in my hands. But how can ONE win against THOUSANDS? I am barely able to keep them at bay with my fire magic, and my mana is running low. I quickly drink a potion which restores my power. But what good will it do? How can I defeat them? "Get them away from the floodgates," my master instructs. After a few failed attempts, I do as he says. Water rushes out of the gates and they all drown.

      3- Playing with Time Warps

      I am with the Doctor; he is a bit impatient with my cousin, so he decides to screw with her head a bit. He creates a time warp, and she walks up to him just as he is talking to a past version of her. She freaks out and runs away. Our laughter is interrupted by the sound of marching. A whole legion of warriors is coming out of Wal-Mart!

      "You of all people should know the dangers of playing with time warps!" I accuse as the army advances on us. "Look what you've done!"

      The general wants us both dead. Before he gives the order to attack, he randomly stabs an arrow into the head of a dwarf standing beside him. Okay, what was the point of that?

      The battle commences. I have a sword, and am actually doing a really good job of killing the soldiers. This is fun! The army is actually a mixture of humans and enslaved dwarves... I end up killing the arrow-dwarf's brother, and he wants revenge. (How is he still alive with that arrow sticking out of his head?) I knock him underneath a car. Now he can't sit up without the arrow hitting the bottom of the vehicle. Looks like a very painful way to be stuck...

      The scene changes; now I'm working for the General. I get an email about something detrimental to the General's plans. I can't let him see this... This could be the key to getting rid of him once and for all.


      4- Expectations (DEILD)
      Darkness. I'm not in SP anymore, I guess I woke up. But I RC anyway and become lucid. Yay! Only now, I can't open my eyes. Hmm... I take my sleep mask off, which has transferred over into the dream, but my eyes still won't open. I use my fingers and try to PRY them open... still no success. Oh well, I'll be able to see through them in a minute. I wander around the house blindly until I can see. I feel sort of confused though... For some reason I think I'm invisible.

      I go in my brother's room, where Steven and Matt are listening to the radio. I want to mess with them, so I throw something off the dresser at them. Apparently I'm not invisible, after all.

      My attention turns to the radio. Everything it is saying makes perfect sense. The commercials and the songs are all in real life clarity. Do they have this playing IRL? If not, my subconscious is awesome!

      I go outside. It's really dark, but I ignore this. I'm already having problems with staying in the dream, I need to stabilize this before I worry about the lights. (Or lack thereof.)

      I'm thinking about Leroy all of a sudden, and a man suddenly appears in front of me. Thinking it's my dream guide, I abruptly lose all my self-control and leap at him, giving him a big hug. I see a bit too late that I'm wrong, that this is just a random DC,
      and I wake up.

      ((Oops. I'm glad that wasn't Leroy, after all, since I had to go and act like that. Again.))

      5- A WILD within a DEILD
      I DEILD back into the dream. Yet again, I'm having the same problem with my eyes. I briefly consider ripping my eyelids off, but decide I don't really want to find out what that would feel like.

      I walk out of my room, into the hallway. I still can't see, but I am able to tell where I am just as easily. This dream is still really unstable... Maybe if I WILD within the dream, into a different dream, it will fix things? Worth a shot, anyway.

      I lay down right there on the floor, close my eyes (they were open, despite my blindness) and enter SP. There is a vague sensation of rolling around, and then...


      6- Exploration
      ...I am fully lucid in a new dream. Better yet, I can SEE again!

      Now I suddenly feel as if I need to prove myself for some reason. Maybe I'll go fight that werewolf... I head off toward it's lair. It's still pretty dark out, and there are random people along the road. Once I reach M's house I run into two mean looking dogs. I think they may have been in the pack that tried to kill me in another dream... "Hey, little doggies!" I say fondly, using passive control to make them like me. I pet them. "Wanna come help me kill a big bad werewolf?" Apparently not, they run off. I turn and fly toward the south. I'm near where I'm supposed to be; the warehouse where the werewolf lives is somewhere back here.

      Now, however, I'm distracted by the mountains beyond that. I had read something that The Cusp posted about dream mapping, about how there are certain borders on the edges of your dreamworld and that it's impossible to get past them. Well, I'll just have to see about that for myself. After a lot of flying and climbing, I make it over the mountains... only to find more mountains in the distance. Gah... I'm not going that far.

      Below me, there is a city. Since I'm here, I might as well check it out. I jump down, right in the middle of the road. Cars are coming at me from all directions, but I am unconcerned. It's fun leaping over them. A little tiny car drives by... I wonder what kind of person would drive something that small? I catch up with it and sit on top, riding through the city.

      I reach the lower district and get off. I am surprised by the variety of people, and how real they all look. Everything is so detailed; how could my mind possibly come up with all these different people?
      The dream fades, and I wake up.
    12. The Dream of the Post-Apocalyptic World, the Race and the Closed-Off Town

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

      I was in a post-apocalyptic world, except, shortly after the apocalypse. It was a zone with many shops spread in a desertic land. I knew it was past the apocalypse because: 1) most of the population had disappeared and 2) the country wasn't that desertic normally.
      However, the buildings were still standing and in a good shape.
      In the beginning, I was alone. Soon, I noticed 3 Black men running and I challenged them to a race along the empty shops. Surprisingly, I beat them all so they were in awe. I think one of them offered me ammo.
      Then I was with a group of other survivors, among whom a beautiful woman
      possibly inspired by Lara Croft or Megan Fox. We were looking beyond a highway bridge (definitely inspired by FallOut 3, we haven't got those here) where a giant set of Mikado sticks were. And by giant, I mean, several dozen feet long.
      We even consider using them as spears to defend ourselves.
      Then, Lara-Megan says she knows of a big city where we will be safe. She takes us to the entrance of the city, whose guards have ridiculous uniforms reminiscent of Alice in Wonderland.
      We're told that to be let into the city, we need to pass a test of trust that is also a sort of inner conscience journey or stuff.
      Practically, it means being held down flat on a convector belt that takes us through the city and exposes us to different scenes of the city life for a day or two.
      Then we're into the city and I am with 3 childhood friends, twins: Gur (a boy) and Mad (a girl) and their older sister Soa. They're in their early teens again.
      I take them up a road, under a bridge, and up to my house which is on the left side of the road, hanging over a cliff.
      On the door there is a sign saying "Ande" followed by my name, Ande being a deformation of my mother's middle name, Andrée, and her father's name, André. Under it there is my own name.
      We get in the house, which is all in length: an entrance hall, a small kitchen, a tiny living-room and the bedroom.
      In the bedroom there is a big bouncy king-size bed (
      actually my grandmother's former bed) and a small one person bed to its left. I tell my 3 friends I'll take the small bed and they can sleep in the big bed. I start taking blankets for them.
    13. My Misadventures in the City of Bedlam

      1- A Chase
      I leave the school after a rather rough day. Oh great, our bus isn't even here. Perfect... I am waiting with my brother, when I realize I must be dreaming. Everything is suddenly underwater... "We don't need a bus, we can swim home," I say.

      Once home, I take Steven into an incredibly dark forest. This would be a good time to see if I can overcome my "darkeness=lack of control syndrome," but Steven gets scared and starts attacking me, forcing me to take him back to the house. He continues to chase me, as an evil demon voice resounds from all around us. I'm not really paying attention to what the voice is saying, because I am enjoying my run.

      I fly up onto the house and find some really cool coins. I start to pick them up, then remember, "Oh yeah, it's not like I can keep them." Plus, Steven is still attacking me. This is getting annoying.

      He throws some large blocks of wood at my head, but I slow them down using telekinesis and easily catch them. I don't bother attacking him; I have some stuff I need to do... Oh yeah, I'm supposed to be looking for Samael. I prepare to fly away, but my brother grabs ahold of my foot and nearly breaks my toe off. "That doesn't hurt," I tell him, rolling my eyes. "It's a dream, you idiot." It does hurt, though, and I wonder if I kicked the wall or something IRL.

      My brother disappears, and I turn to go find Samael. I am just about to try a summoning spell, when the dream deteriorates and I wake up.


      2- City of Bedlam, pt I
      In the early 1700's, my dad and I own a small shop off the coast of Charleston. We sell all our wares, and must make the long and perilous journey across the Atlantic to stock up on supplies. We are poor; so all we have is a small rowboat. It will have to do. "Getting there is the easy part," I tell my dad. "But we still have pirates to worry about. At this statement, I notice two things. 1) Another rowboat ahead of us, and 2) a pirate ship (namely, the Black Pearl) sailing our way. The girl in the rowboat near us is a young Elizabeth Swan. To rescue us from the pirates, she flings salt water in my dad's eyes and makes us crash on some island.

      We are greeted there by the island's inhabitants. They allow us to stay, provided we follow their rules. (And they have many, many rules.) They show us a specific room of the castle that we are not allowed to enter, because it holds some of their most treacherous secrets.

      I walk around, getting to know everybody.

      Before we know it, we have been staying in the city for weeks. It becomes my duty to vacuum the castle... with a very small hand vac. First I must pour some white cleaning liquid all over the floor, then vacuum it up. I am still working at this when
      I wake up.

      3- City of Bedlam, pt II
      Back in the city, I notice that I have done a very poor job of painting my nails. I have nail polish all over my fingers, and I even missed two of my nails altogether. I decide I'd better redo them... But I can't remember where I put my fingernail polish. It must be in one of the bathrooms, but there are just so many!

      I begin my search. After a while, I accidentally enter a really dark, creepy room that with holds a talking shrunken head. Realizing that this is the room I am not permitted to enter, I shriek and run out. "What are you doing?" a girl asks me as I nearly run into her. I recognize her as one of the shop keepers on the shore of this island.

      "Oh, I'm just looking for my fingernail polish," I say hurriedly and keep looking.

      Outside, I notice a tree that seems to be a Christmas ornament... but it's June. Taking a closer look, I am shocked to see a fairy staring back at me. "Uh... do you know where my fingernail polish is?" I ask dumbly. She says something in sign language. "I don't understand that," I say. Suddenly more and more fairies appear in the tree. I begin to worry that they will cause trouble. "We have a problem," I tell the man who walks up behind the small tree.

      "What's that?" The fairies abruptly disappear, and he never notices.

      I was going to point them out, but I quickly change my mind. "Um, I can't find my fingernail polish," I say instead.


      4- Fire Ants, pt I
      I "wake up" with fire ants in my bed, biting me. I hurriedly leave the room and tell my aunt about them.


      5- Fire Ants, pt 2
      I "wake up" again. WTF? Fire ants are biting me! So that other part was a dream? I go and tell my aunt about the fire ants, then ask her if I had already told her. She says that I did. But... why would I go back to sleep in a bed full of ants?

      6- City of Bedlam, pt III
      A hurricane is attacking the castle. I am nearly swept away by a flood of water as one of the guards leads me up to the balcony. We are all clutching on to the sturdy bars of the balcony to avoid being blown away. Suddenly, the ocean starts throwing things at us: refrigerators, pieces of wrecked ships, all kinds of stuff! It sends it directly at us!

      I am dodging as best I can, while trying to knock the others out of harms way. After what seems like forever, the storm ends.


      7- City of Bedlam, pt IV
      ((I don't know why I kept re-entering this dream. It wasn't that fun, and I was getting rather tired of these weird people.)) I decide I must leave this city. I've had enough of the wackos who live here. They tell me that the only exit is through Pointer Street, so that is where I go. Or at least, that's where I TRY to go. I end up turning onto Clutter Street instead, which is against the law. Apparently Clutter Street is where they throw all the dead bodies when they execute someone, and no one is allowed to go down there. They kill me, but this is only a temporary punishment. In this City, if you make a contribution (such as vacuuming the castle), you will be brought back to life after execution.

      This time I make sure to turn on Pointer Street. Unfortunately for me, a man is out shopping with his wife... butt naked. It is illegal to see someone naked unless you are married to them, so again I am killed.

      Frustrated, I walk all the way back to Pointer Street, making sure to keep my eyes averted from the naked man. As I am trying to avoid him, I accidentally bump into one of the guards. I immediately apologize, not wanting to be executed again. He just smiles at me and keeps walking. I pass by a man, who comments on how I was sucking up to the guards to avoid punishment.

      I am now faced with a problem. The naked guy is blocking my path... How am I supposed to get out of here without looking at him? An idea comes to me: I take out my sleeping mask and use it as a blindfold, feeling my way along until I make it out of the city.

      I walked through the city with the AmazingAtheist (A YouTuber, that talks about news; especially religion) and some guy I don't know. After a while we walked into a fast food restaurant. I looked at the pictures of their food but couldn't decide. Then I saw a movieposter-like one with a dark person on it and the text: SpecialBloodMenu. Below that was a last years date written. I asked the guy behind the counter, if they still sell this. He answered something like: "Ever!"
      Here my dream ends.

      My thoughts:This is the third time now, that I dream about fast food restaurants... And I don't even am a daily fastfood-eater or something like that. Maybe I just dreamed about it, because I expected it the evening before.

      1- Blown Away
      I am walking through a city with several people, when tornadoes begin spawning everywhere. I watch in amusement as they come closer, wondering what it would feel like if I actually let them hit me this time. They sweep over me, blowing me around a bit. It is actually a very pleasant feeling.

      We keep walking (I'm no longer lucid) and come across the hotel of someone we apparently know. We think he may be dead, but suddenly a man in his late 40's with crazy brown hair steps out of the hotel and sees us. He clearly wishes we weren't there , but we need him to give us a ride.

      "Hey, we though you'd been swept away by the tornadoes!" one of my companions says happily.


      ((I wake up a while later, successfully FILDing.))

      2- Face-off with Count Dooku
      I feel myself enter the dream and manage to get my eyes open. It's still really dark, so I turn on a light and look at my hands to stabilize the dream. The first thing that comes to my mind is the advanced challenge on DV, which is to fight one of the sith. First, I need a light saber. It is really cold inside my house, so I consider putting on a jacket. I decide that probably won't help, so I go outside to find something that can be turned into a light saber. Outside, it is really warm.

      I find a stick near the edge of my yard while my brother tags along. I think about our dreamshare project, but decide that I'd rather do the task. I get the stick and, after a bit of concentration, manage to turn it into a red light saber. Now for the fun part. "Count Dooku! I summon you!" ((Not sure why I said "I summon you," it just seemed appropriate at the time.)) I see a flash of robes behind me, but when I whirl around, nothing is there. After sesveral moments of looking around, he suddenly appears beside me, laughing evilly. We start fighting, and I barely dodge as he lunges and almost impales me through my stomach.

      After a bit of fighting, both of our light sabers suddenly flicker out. "Hey what happened!?" I exclaim.

      He looks annoyed. "The batteries died."

      "What!? But these things don't run on batteries!"

      Apparently they do. We go in and change the batteries, but he grows bored of fighting me and quits.
