    1. Mind remote, BL scene

      by , 03-13-2015 at 05:20 PM (Keitorin's Dream Log)
I’m sitting on the end of a bed playing Pokemon on the TV across from me that’s on a black dresser - except I’m not using a remote, but my mind. I keep thinking that I need one to do certain things, but push on with my mind.

I end up being able to do things I wouldn’t otherwise, like flipping over a wall and getting ahead to a town I wouldn’t have so soon otherwise.

(I get déjà vu while thinking about that town, feeling like I had a similar dream before.)

A guy comes in to talk to a woman who’s behind me somewhere, and I get self-conscious about my state of undress and discretely either put on a shirt or pull it down over my chest. May have been wearing what I went to bed in.

      Jump.

Some bulky guy is trying to help me with a problem with Jazzy, I don’t want to have to do what he’s suggesting but it may be the only way, and I just want to help her.

      Jump.

I’m flying along a quaint path with forest on either side and sometimes fences. I want to fly faster and suddenly realize that I can make that happen. ‘Faster, faster!’ And I do, almost going too fast as I get close and personal with some of the fences, but I somehow manage to avoid crashing by rolling away midair and such.

      Inspirations:
-Saw someone else mention Pokemon in their dreams , but I also swear I remember seeing a post about it on Tumblr that made me think of the latest games.
-Last night I had a funny conversation with mom about how dad was covering up his chest after taking his shirt off. I wasn’t wearing a bra under my shirt and it got me thinking about male vs female top nudity.
-I wish the flying part was more clear in my memory ugh it looks like so much fun. I usually get lucid and then take off flying.

      2. BL manga style dream.

    2. Mirror Lake + Coitus Interruptus (DILDs + FAs)

      by , 03-12-2015 at 07:52 AM
Ritual: Too tired to work late so WTB 12am, woke 4am to finish work. WBTB at 6:15, woke 7:15am with first DILD.

DILD, "Mirror Lake": Woke up with fragile recall... as I was getting down notes from the end of the dream, ended up forgetting much of what came before. Thought about it and some scenes came back, but there might be gaps.

I recall an NLD at my grandma's house involving lots of cats and kittens of all sizes and personalities. I was trying to negotiate conflicts between them and protect the kittens from dogs who seemed on the verge of trying to eat them. I woke at one point (though I now suspect this was an FA) and reflected, oh, those were such obvious dream signs (grandma's house & cats), I should be more attentive.

Not sure exactly when I became lucid; it might have happened around this point. I recall lying in bed, thinking it was just like my real bed but instinctively aware that I was dreaming. (In retrospect, typically, room and bed were nothing like WL.) I lay on my back staring at the complex patterns that were playing across the ceiling in black and white, complex and shifting geometric abstractions.

From there the scene changed. I recall the transition clearly, because I found it interesting how I went from lying flat on my back to sitting in a partially reclining chair in a movie theater without ever feeling as though my body had changed position. Corresponding with my new angle of vision, the patterns on the ceiling have now reoriented to become the images on the movie screen, and transformed from abstract to representational. When I was lying in bed I had the impression that my husband was sleeping to my right (odd because in WL he sleeps on my left); now he is sitting on my right in the movie theatre. The rest of the room was empty in the earlier scene, even lacking furniture apart from the bed: the movie theatre, by contrast, is packed with people.

Having experienced all this so distinctively, especially the odd ambivalence of change/no change in my position, I become curious about my dream body and feel it with my hands. How lifelike is it? I'm impressed with its solidity and the distinct way I can feel the muscles moving under my skin as I twist in my seat. (In retrospect, the muscular movement may have been exaggerated.)

Even though I'm only touching my side and hip, the attention to my body makes me feel slightly aroused, and I am reminded of the recent forum thread where the OP asked if it was possible to maintain lucidity through orgasm. Certainly, I had replied. Though I've done it before, some years ago, eventually I decided not to get distracted by dream sex so it's been a while. It now occurred to me to see if I could still do it, if only as an exercise in maintaining stability. I hesitated momentarily since I was in such a public place, but shrugged off those concerns—this is my dream, how much more private can you get?—and indeed no one around me notices or reacts as I move my hand discreetly downward.

All it takes is a few minutes of pressure with my fingers to get myself off. I watch the images on the movie screen to make sure I don't lose focus on the dream. The intensity passes and the dream remains stable. I once again marvel at how easy it is to orgasm in dream compared to the cumbersome efforts required of the physical body. After the movie ends—I don't recall the story at all—I leave the theater. I remember being impressed at how long the dream lasts and how continuous the spaces feel, though in retrospect I don't clearly remember all the ground I covered.

The next thing I remember is a scene inspired by day residue from work. I talk briefly with colleagues, mostly people that I observe have no correspondence to WL. When I get bored with this and turn to leave, a woman asks, "You're leaving already?" I go out the door carrying a large textbook in one hand. I briefly consider discarding it, but decide to keep it with me for now.

Beyond the doorway I find myself in the hallway of a university building. It's hard to say if it is dorms or classrooms, but there are lots of flyers and decorations all over the walls. I note the peculiarities of my vision: the environment is really stable, with lots of detail, but everything is a bit dim and out of focus. I'm deciding what to do next and recall the mirror TOTM. There are always public restrooms in hallways like this, and there will undoubtedly be a mirror in the restroom, so I walk down the hallway and look for a likely door.

I reach a corner where the corridor takes a right turn to the left, so I continue in that direction. After turning the corner, I encounter something unexpected: the hall is much darker here, as if the lights have gone out, and the way forward is block with big stacks of boxes. Interesting... why is the dream trying to stop me from going down this hall? Curious, I levitate and cross the barrier easily—the boxes were only stacked high enough to be an obstacle to someone on foot.

A voice calls out from the darkness behind the boxes, apparently a guy stationed at a desk there to make sure no one gets past. "You can't go back there," he warns me.

"Why?" I ask, genuinely wanting to know the answer. The barriers the dream is throwing in my way are becoming more and more intriguing!

His excuse is really lame and boring: "There are books being deposited."

"Okay," I respond indifferently. I ignore him and continue to levitate down the hallway. Halfway down I encounter a door on my right. Will the guard pursue me? I have the the impression that he starts to get up from his desk, but I've moved so quickly that I have a big lead already. To further distract and delay him, I throw the big textbook I've been carrying in his direction. Helpfully, this frees up my hands so that I can open the door.

I have the impression that the door was supposed to be locked, but I bypass it effortlessly. As I twist the knob and push the door open, I can feel the distinct tickle of thick cobwebs brushing my right hand. This gives me a creepy thrill... is there actually some peril here? Why would the dream try to keep me out of this room? Just past the door is a pair of light switches on the wall to my right. I flip them but nothing happens. Typical.

Although the room is darker than the hall outside, I can still vaguely see. It is unremarkable: just a storeroom with a few boxes stacked here and there. However, one detail draws my attention: it is very thing I was looking for, a mirror! The mirror is large, at least 3x8 feet, and lying flat on the floor in an arbitrary position as though it is merely being stored here. This is great, I can try the TOTM! I've used mirrors as portals before, but they were always vertically aligned. The fact that this mirror is flat on the floor suggests a new way of using it: instead of pushing or walking through, as is natural with vertical mirrors, I should just run over and jump in as though it were a pool of water. I figure it will work as long as I can avoid any doubts or second thoughts.

I take a running jump and fall into the mirror's surface. My alignment isn't perfect—I end up on my back sinking half into the mirror, half into the floor, but I don't let this bother me. There is a momentary disorientation of unconstructed dream space, then I watch curiously as a new environment begins to coalesce, wondering where I'll find myself.

It was predictable, really: after thinking about the mirror-portal as a pool of water, that is exactly where I end up. I am floating on my back on the surface of a very calm body of water, like a pond, and I can hear a stream bubbling somewhere nearby. This is actually quite peaceful and relaxing, and I think how nice it would be to float here for a while... but I'm already waking up.

FA: There is a brief FA where I hear my husband's breathing on my right—still the inverse of our actual positions in WL—and then I wake up for real.

Interlude: From 7:15 to 8am I wake and write the notes from the last dream, then return to bed. It is hard to fall asleep, taking about half an hour. Everytime I get close to sleep, some unexpected noise wakes me: my husband's alarm clock; a text message; and finally an unrelenting sequence of pounding and clattering at the house next door, as though someone is alternately assembling and destroying a pile of scrap metal.

    3. Jazzy choking, silent noise, outcast sister

      by , 03-12-2015 at 01:57 AM (Keitorin's Dream Log)
      1. Me and mom are in the ‘kitchen’, Jazzy is acting weird and we start to laugh, until mom realizes that she’s choking on her collar! Oh no! She rushes down to try and help her as I watch. I don’t remember her wearing a collar, and it seems to be taking too long to fix it. Then even as she fixes it, Jazzy still seems to be choking – was her air cut off for too long?!

      2. There was some activity going on in a room, and a blind guy at a small, round, wooden table had asked ‘Did anybody hear that?’. Later, I find scraps of white paper on the floor behind the table, and think that they had been on it and been blown off by the fan and made noise.

I show him, but he says that wasn’t it, it had been more like a ‘thump’ and as he says it, he drops his fist down on the table, producing the sound.

      Jump.

I’m talking to my sister at the same table. It seems that she is an outcast from the family; she and mom don’t get along anymore. We talk about that for a while. There was a bit more too it but I don’t remember.

      3. I also remember something about a guy and reading some writing.

(That I bothered writing down. I've been super lazy about the stuff recently with starting a new job and whatnot.)

      February 13:

Catching cats in a specialized car that has a giant bin in the back for cats to fall into. Driving around on roads and cats are falling from highway overpasses/out of the sky/etc for me to collect. Totally made sense at the time.

      February 14:

At a shady Kia dealership where I bought a car before. Came with my mother, brought my work MacBook with me for some reason and was trying to get on their Wi-Fi. Sleazy car salesman shows up, I want to test drive some of the newer Kia Rios. Leave the dealership on a bus. Start asking people where this bus is going, and nobody will tell me. The scenery changes from desert to snow and starts going up the road to the ice castle from Frozen. I have an 'aha' moment and wake up.
    5. Secret werewolf files

      by , 03-06-2015 at 01:23 AM (Keitorin's Dream Log)
-Forgotten fragment that I didn’t write down because it didn’t make enough concrete sense too. Really annoying when that happens.

-We’re at a woman’s house, standing in a room. I’m to her right. For some reason I know her secret - she’s a werewolf. She sneaks a look at me and mouths something, something that’s part of her secret. I think she’s telling me where something is, some keys or something. I wonder if it’s near a full moon, if it’s affecting her.

I’m in another room with the woman and another person and we’re looking through some kind of history or genealogy book. In the front, it has really thin pages width-wise and are made of different material, and normal length and paper after that. We’re flipping through it and are excited to see a couple of familiar names, but we turn to one that means something to the third person in the room. Romano Romaine.

There was another name before that that I recognized but I forgot it.

      Jump.

I’m playing with a small toy house with a little girl. We end up taking it apart and I have to figure out how to put it back together by myself because she falls asleep. I’m bad at this stuff so I’m worried I’ll get in trouble.

      Jump.

I’m in a room looking over at Spice on some kind of balcony room, he’s on the other side of a clear door and I talk to him.

      Jump…

In yet another room, mom gets on the woman’s computer. The woman is standing in the room too but she’s not moving or look at us in particular.

Mom shows me a zip drive and asks me a question with her eyes. I know she’s asking whether or not to download something from the woman’s computer (her secret). I gave a real decisive answer by shaking my head both yes and no (lolol).

She puts the zip drive into the computer and a folder opens up full of other folders (about four rows). One is labeled ‘Sarah’. I guess that if the woman gets suspicious, mom can easily show that she’s just looking through her own stuff.
    6. Lost cats, only not

      by , 03-04-2015 at 05:45 PM (Keitorin's Dream Log)
I’m sitting at a table and start getting a bit nervous when one by one other people join tables nearby (it’s like a restaurant). Finally, a couple actually join my area and I have to move my stuff from the next table over to give them room. I ask the woman if she wants me to move my stuff on my own table and she says yes, so I have to compact my stuff together and move it even closer to me.

Somehow I notice that the front door is open a crack and I freak out because the cats could get out through that. I say so and the woman says that it’s too late, she already saw them outside.

I run out and look everywhere for them (I don’t remember actually being outside) but don’t find them. I come back in and start looking around.

I find Spice sleeping on a chair under a table and Jazzy nearby.

I talk to my aunt Sarah about what happened (I seem to place the blame mostly on the woman) and she agrees to help me boot everyone out.

The room feels more crowed as we stand there in the middle of it. Sarah explains the basics of what happened and passes the rest on to me to say.

I tell how ‘Spice was just lying there on the chair snoozing away and Jazzy was sitting there looking at me like ‘what’re you doing’ (it felt like Jazzy hadn’t really been doing that but that’s what I ended up saying). Everyone laughs.

    7. Scaredy cats

by , 02-08-2015 at 10:34 PM (Xanous' Dream Journal)
      #409 - DIELD - 6:06AM

I have a long and confusing dream about sleeping at my parents old house. The time keeps changing and I worry about getting up for work on time. The early details aren't important, but my parents eventually tell me they are leaving to go to a tomato festival. They leave my room and I lay there for a moment. Suddenly, I hear a terrible scream and cats fighting. I rush to the top of the stairs and see my cats running out of a bedroom at the bottom with tails fluffed out.

I wake slightly and relax back into the dream. I am the stairs again and I go down to the room at the bottom. It's dark in there and I feel like something evil is hiding in the room. I spend some time calling out whatever monster may be lurking with various forms of profanity, but nothing happens. Then, I fearfully reach into the room and try the light switch, but, of course, that doesn't work either. I decide this is all stupid and leave out the back door. As I step out, the cats rush past me into the yard. This makes me worry that something is following me so I turn and walk backwards a while. Thankfully, nothing is there. The house seems extra dark now that I am standing in full sunlight and I turn to have a look at the dream environment. The colors of the trees are a extra vivid and bright green, but also very dream like and blurry at the edges of my vision. I feel awe and peace and this makes me want to fly up into the sky. Before I can do anything else, I suddenly wake without warning.

    9. Gilbert, TARDIS, Bucket Fillers, and Yule Ball

      by , 01-25-2015 at 06:16 PM (The Kestrel's Dreams)
      January 25, 2015 (With CZ)

      Gilbert's Safe Too!!

I was in a post apocalyptic-ish world. In this world (we were at my house back home), only my dad and I had survived out of my family. Well, and Bina, my kitty. We had gathered with the remainders of our neighborhood at our house and out neighbor's house. We share a driveway, so we had built a wall of sorts around both properties so we could safely travel between the two houses. We had also connected them underground somehow in case it was ever unsafe to go above ground.

I had gone outside on a normal supplies run one day, and thought I saw a flash of brown and white. I thought of my other cat, Gilbert, whom we hadn't seen since the disaster. I was so hopeful but also a little terrified that he wouldn't be him. He was also outside the walls... I wasn't allowed to exit the perimeter without explicit permission and a buddy to go with me. But I jumped the fence after checking, and found that it was indeed Gilbert, and that he was normal, if not a little frazzled from being on his own for the few weeks it had been. I called his name, and he perked up and ran toward me, jumped over the fence. I got back over the fence as well, and couldn't find him. I called his name again, and he shot out from the other side of our house, and went into our garden. I went to the door, opened it, and again called his name, and he came shooting into the house. My dad picked him up and scolded me for going outside the fence, but I could tell he was so happy to see Gilbert alive. Even Bina came up and licked him and like huddled next to him (they pretty much never get along, true brother and sister pair haha).

      Look, a TARDIS!

I was at my field placement school, and my class had a horrible substitute or training teacher. My mentor teacher was in the room and sitting next to me, but we weren't allowed to interfere in any way. But this guy was doing things all wrong. None of our classroom norms were being upheld, and he didn't know what our "I agree" and "I disagree" hand gestures were, so he got confused and that made the kids confused. He had us chant something when we gave the "I disagree" symbol, which completely defies the purpose of having a hand gesture (being that they don't talk when they do it, disrupting who ever is speaking). I was so pissed. We finally got dismissed for lunch, and I followed the kids out to the playground. I saw one of my old high school friends there. Her hair was the length it was in high school, but I knew her hair was much shorter now, s I was a bit confused. I asked her about it, and she said, "Ohhh, yeah... those photos were all really old, it's grown out since then." And I was still a little confused, but just shrugged it off. She mentioned a new movie coming out that was going to be really interesting and insightful, and then I had to go inside to eat my lunch.

I went to the staff lounge, which ended up being completely empty, so I went in search of other teachers. Where were they all? I ended up finding a new teacher's lounge that I hadn't even known existed! Someone spilled something, and I offered to clean it up. I had to find the paper towel, so I was looking in the cupboards. By the time I got to the spill, it was already cleaned up, so I put the paper towel back. The teachers were all gossiping about something or other, so I left as soon as I finished my lunch. I'm not one for gossip in the professional setting.

I got back to my classroom just as the kids were coming in. But only about half the class came in. Apparently, the class was getting split up. I was teaching on group, and my mentor Teacher was teaching the other group. We each had one of the usual TAs with us. At some point I was writing something on the board but before I got to the board, I noticed the bracelet on my hand (the one that says "I will question reality" on the inside of it) and Paused. I held the hands up and noticed that I had a ghost middle finger. I am dreaming! I looked around the class and shrugged. They were all only Dream Kids anyways, so I left the classroom. As I walked through the halls of the school toward the main entrance to the playground, I debated what I should do. Should I try to incubation task, or my personal task, or the TOTY? I also wanted to start the three-part task as well, and I decided to go with that one. My first one was Advanced Summoning, so I wondered if I could used that to help my incubation of creating a TARDIS (including the insides). I exited the building and looked around expecting to see a TARDIS. In the grass field in the distance, a TARDIS materialized out of thin air, accompanied by the sound it makes. I was about to fly toward it (which would be my second three-part task) but while flying, it started to move around and I couldn't catch it. Then I noticed that the light at the top was flashing red. I knew that was wrong, and then the TARDIS turned into a red phone booth and then vanished again.

I stood there in the grass, and willed again that a TARDIS Would materialize, this time adding to my thoughts that it would be right in front of me. This time, a blue, accurate TARDIS materialized with sounds included, right in front of me. I touched the wooden walls and inspected the signs on the front. They had gibberish on them, which I would have to work on fixing if at all possible. I made a mental note to look up the exact words they should be, so I could memorize them and hopefully this would make it so that the words would be more accurate in my dream. Now for the big task... I opened the door... And discovered nothing much on the inside. Well, I knew what else to work on next time, too. I vaguely wondered if I was doing this "incubation" thing right...

I closed the door and discovered that the TARDIS had attracted a herd of nerds, who were trying to climb the back of it and steal it away. I yelled, "IT'S JUST A PORTA-POTTY, BACK OFF." But the nerds wouldn't have it. I lifted the TARDIS away from the nerds, but they clung to it and traveled with it. Fuck, these guys are persistent. I then hit one of them with a rubber mallet that materialized in my hand mid-swing (internally thinking that this was pretty cool and I'd never tried it before, so I was just a little proud of myself~) and they scattered. I patted my TARDIS-In-Progress and was about to jump off to do some flying and advanced flying, when
      I woke up.

I fell back asleep trying to pull myself into a dream where I could summon a Pegasus, but these two string of smaller non-Lucids happened instead:

      Bucket Fillers

I was in my class again. This time, everyone was writing a short piece about the things they liked in other people. Each student had another student assigned, so that everyone would get a nice letter to make them feel better. This was our little Bucket Fillers activity for the week. When the students were done writing, they would put the letters into their friend's cubby. I was walking around the classroom and watching all the kids be all nice and bubbly to each other.

      Yule Ball

I was walking to the Yule Ball that was being held by the Quiddich team here. I was going to meet Zukin there, because we had just gotten our tattoos, and wanted to rest before the ball. I passed a huge group of toga-clad undergrads, and enjoyed watching how drunk they were. I asked if they were warm enough, but they all said, "Oh, yeah, we're fiiiinnneee." I shortly got to the Union, where the Yule Ball was being held. I was all the way at the front table where I would pay for my ticket, when I remembered the Zukin and I had decided not to go anyways. I looked around, got embarrassed at my little mistake that no one else could possibly know, and left.

Hellish brown beast after my cats (Non-lucid)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

I was doing ET contact in the country, but I was doing this during the day when suddenly, I heard a huge noise of a plane crashing. There was no fire, no screams, no dead people, in fact, they walked out fine from the plane, despite the plain being broken in half. I wanted to assist injured people with healing energy until the dream changed a scenario. There was something involving a train accident and I was next to my car about to leave somewhere when other plane crashed the same way.

I wanted to look at my bag, and ensure the police did not grab some of my stuff thinking I was to blame. The police seemed to not care from what it was in my bag. I wanted to call a friend and tell her what the heck was going on with the planes. I saw a plastic phone with a monochrome screen in my bag. Something like this one, but it was all white and had no camera:

The phone made an odd noise I teleported to a house. The phone was larger, like an i-pad, but made out of plastic and still with the black and white monochrome screen. Now it had a camera also. I heard a noise and went to the bathroom, and I saw like a map on my "i-pad" and a red dot. Every time I clicked the red dot, I was moved to the rooms, until I clicked it twice and went to a small room that had a spiderweb.

There was a tiny spider, and the app said, "Writing spider" It was an extremely extra rare find that if I photographed, I would get something mind blowing on a game. I could see the spider with a tiny pencil and a paper. When I took its photo, it started to grow and turned into a hellish brown beast. It was like a rat, but very slender, with long arms and very sharp claws... this is the closest I could find:

I closed the door, but the door did not covered all the way up to the roof, as it was a wavy decor so the little beast came out from there. It turned in some sort of demon cat and I was afraid it would kill my cats. She went after both of my cats and I pushed it away.

After this, and killing the beast (no idea how) a lot of nonsense started. I saw a show that looked like "The human body" where there were some viruses that turned into broccolies (of different colors)

A voice said they needed to be eliminated, otherwise a big mess would happen. Sure enough it did. They turned into football players and these kept growing into demons, black shadows that were attacking some city hall and only using white light was good to defeat them, lucky me I could channel it.

    11. Bubble Gum Road

      by , 12-30-2014 at 07:18 PM (Threecat's Dreamtime)
After lying awake, DEILD. Fall through space. A creature is flying in gray DEILD space in front of me, but is hazy and not fully-formed. He looks threatening, so I close my dream eyes in the hope that he will dissipate. I open them in a bit and he is still there. Things begin to solidify. He attacks, latching onto my arm and biting. Whatever, I look away from him and he disappears. I land in a laundry room (?) or maybe pet store, a bit fuzzy here. A small kitten latches onto my arm in the same place. What is up with this negativity? I peel him off and head out of this room, and jarringly appear in my own house.

At this point, the stability and vividness of the dream increase dramatically, shocking me. For a moment, I feel as if I have accidentally just walked down the hall of my house, but I remember that I am dreaming, and that this isn't real, and nose pinch a couple of times (both times air cleanly passed through my dream nostrils). My cats (and some of the local strays) are locked in a big snarl of a fight, inside a soft, plushy cat-house. I decide to generate some positive energy, and do this while holding my hands out toward them. They ignore me and continue fighting. It is a huge rat's nest of fighting, with small kittens now added into the mess. I finally make loud noise to run them off. They all flee. I head into a bedroom.

It is here that I remember to observe the dream. I do this and focus on the seeming solidity (the ridiculous, mind-bending seeming solidity) of the dream. I test it by pressing my fingers against the dark brown wood of a bunk bed. I try to just take a piece away, which fails. I then try to press my fingers into the wood, which fails as well. Interesting. I recall my goal to meditate, but I brush it off. I go out of this room, back through the hall, and step outside.

There is an expanse of wet ground, marsh-like, but sort of like a retention pond as well. I then think of a beautiful woman I reason that being in a dream, it will be easy to find a pretty girl. I head back into the house. There is a new development--a carpeted ramp in bubblegum-pink and purple, like a very "girly-girl" rainbow. Seems like girls will be this way. There are balloons on the ramp as well, making me think a party is going on. I begin walking up the ramp. The balloons try to latch onto me as I am walking upward, in a somewhat normal, "oh, the strings are sticking to me" sort of way. I strip them off and keep going.

I now realize that getting to this party involves a vertical climb (like at a rock gym) and there is another rainbow story above. I look over and see an open classroom, with a blonde woman sitting behind the teacher's desk. Cannot tell if she is young or old. I look closer, pretty young, late 20's? Quite pretty, looks like Lucy Lawless. That will work.

I go up to her. She seems busy and initially ignores me. I am somehow already naked so I just stand in front of her in a "notice me" kind of fashion. "Hi, Samantha!" she says. I smile but do not respond. She starts to sort through papers, as though she has been expecting me. I stand a bit closer, and she finally "notices" me. We have fun and I
      wake up.

    12. Morphing Mottled Houdans

      by , 12-25-2014 at 06:25 PM
Morning of December 25, 2014. Thursday.

This was a typical “one animal becomes another” dream (which is possibly one of the oldest dream types in my memory - going back to my toddler years) and it was fairly short and uneventful. However, there were other sections which were not very clear or well-rendered.

In the first part of my dream, it is established that we are “still” living on Duffy Street. I am only vaguely aware of the holiday season. I believe we seem to have some sort of business of selling or giving away pets.

I go into an area of the kitchen where there is some sort of wooden platform with several small trap doors and which is built into the larger kitchen counter and part of the stove top. Over time, I notice that we have a large collection of Mottled Houdans, a type of exotic chicken (supposedly a French breed, but looking quite similar to certain Polish breeds). There are at least twenty of them if not more. They are probably about three-fourths their final adult size.

After a time, I realize that we actually have black and white cats, not Mottled Houdans (this may be based on absentminded in-dream questioning of why there would be chickens inside the apartment). I am not that coherent at any point. I think we are going to try to sell some. At any rate, I am aware that both cats and chickens “roost” in higher locations, just sort of standing there. We have more (younger) animals in another room in cardboard boxes under the bed, but I am not fully clear on anything or whether they are cats, chickens, or something else (such as Guinea pigs).

Mocking the dream without knowing I was dreaming. (Non-lucid)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

I am on vacation at my parents, so this is more notes than anything... i am busy to write the whole thing down, but with this summary I will remember the dream. They were very long.

      12-19-14
I had several cats at home, many of them were kitten versions from my current cats. They did get well along and once I got one kitten version from each of my cats and upon showing to my wife I told her, "This is worth a reality check." I was mocking like if I was dreaming (without knowing I was dreaming.)

      12-20-14
I went to a catholic church to talk with a bishop and see how he would counter with fear about the benefits of psychic mediumship. He spoke like in togues and could not understand. I brought Buddha's and Lord Ganesha's statues and art and decored the church. The bishop seemed happy and I brought a lot of people. I wanted to take over the church and turn it into a Spiritualist church and remove all religion from it. I had people coming and they brought us free candy. I did four reality checks in a row and got false positives (used the same one) and on the fifth, I had six fingers, and yet did not turn lucid.

This is rare for me, and happened two nights in a row. The energy in my house is very different from my parent's and I am not used to my old twin bed and not having my wife sleeping next to me (my paretns it is a small apartment and my wifes sleeps in the studio and me, in my old tiny room.)
    14. Provincial Shack

by , 11-26-2014 at 11:27 AM (The Dream Magic Experiment)
I was in the LRT area. Then I am in a jeep. We're in the middle of nowhere. It's dark outside, with some hints of trees and grasslands, like in the province. I wondered why I travelled here.

I was in a provincial area. I was in a shack/house made of bamboo or some sort of wood. Rob was there. I was looking for the comfort room. There was none, only a general area (inside the house) where you can pee. Uncomfortable. There were cats. I think one scratched me.
    15. Venomous Cat Encounter on Loomis Street

      by , 11-24-2014 at 05:24 PM
Morning of November 24, 2014. Monday.

I am back at my older sister Marilyn’s house in La Crosse and trying to get her to appear by calling out to her to show herself (having the understanding that she had died yet also still potentially present in certain supraconscious dream realms, perhaps). I am semi-lucid in an atypical way; not in a more coherent sense. In one sense, it is vaguely like some sort of soliloquy-like seance. Over time, my sister does not walk from the other room as I expect her to even though I vaguely sense her presence on the other side of the darkened doorway. I am trying not to project my frustration as there is a growing realization she does not exist anymore, yet at the same time I sense her unwillingness to come out. However, there is no stronger focus on mortality by that point. (I have had very similar dream scenes in the past but usually tulpa-based, not related to real people either living or deceased.)

Eventually, three cats enter the house somehow (possibly through the open front door). One of the cats seems to be one which my family presently has (though had supposedly died in my dream’s back story weeks before). It is Franco, a black and white male cat. The other two cats are more like miniature leopards in one way but still with domestic cat attributes including the body proportions. From here, my dream goes into some distorted scenes where my perception is badly skewed.

I falsely “remember” that these were my sister’s two cats. Somehow (also an in-dream false memory) they died around the same time she did, which is supposedly related to something unexplainable (relative to “mutual deaths” which stems from real-life ideas of the past where a sister’s neighbor died and then their otherwise healthy spouse died shortly thereafter, supposedly out of grief). However, at the same time, there is a highly ambiguous idea that they are still alive (but Franco had been partly made sick by them as well) and had caused sickness in other people (in turn causing their death) by biting or scratching them (again, a false memory as the other people reflected upon other than my sister are still alive). Again, this is directly related to the two “leopard cats” (possible association with leprosy as well as the pet hybrid bobcat attack I experienced in my youth). They are not very aggressive (they seem to be mostly just playful though do attempt to “hunt” based on my body’s movement), but I want to completely avoid contact with them as they are seemingly venomous. I am aware of mild pressure on my body at times but I do not seem to actually be bitten at any point. (This seems partially related to a “struggle” with the bed sheet and an attempt to get my real physical body into a more comfortable position.)

I go to the couch, slowly going back into a semi-lucid state, and am on my knees on the floor at that point, my head near the seat of the couch. However, there is not that much coherence even though my general awareness is slowly sharpening. I then go into an odd state that is quite rare, where I attempt to “spit out” my dream while still in it before I fully wake. It takes about three attempts in making sure my dream’s environment does not “enter” my waking essence (the opposite of healing dreams where I intentionally carry facets of my dream’s energy into waking life). I do not seem to recall reading about this sort of dream experience, other than some supposed healers in real life spitting out the essence of what they supposedly take out of their patients. On another note, this dream setting near the couch is the exact spot of one of the only times in my life I have been ill in this manner in real life (from one of the only times in my life that I drank alcohol).
