I am riding in a car with a female friend to an automatic car wash behind a gas station. There is a pay station in front of the bay door, but it has a sign on it that says, “Free Wash Today.” She drives into the car wash bay, but there is no washing equipment inside. It's just an empty garage space with only a single overhead light. She says, “I'm going inside to ask what's wrong with the car wash.” We drive out the other side and park, then go inside the gas station's convenience store.

The store is very crowded and noisy. There are quite a few people waiting in line to order food at the deli counter and there is a long line at the cashier. Some guy is arguing with the cashier about them putting too many pickles on his sandwich. He is picking the pickles off the sandwich and counting them out loud as he drops them on the counter. I roll my eyes and go back outside to see a whole line of clean wet cars coming out of the car wash, some of them still soapy. There is a tractor-trailer rig and a cement truck waiting in a long line to enter the wash bay. I couldn't help but think that they fixed the car wash and I should find my friend so we can wash the car.

When I turn around to go back into the store, there is a girl sitting at a small round table immediately outside the entry door. She is reading a book and does not respond when I ask her to move. I push at the table, but it won't move. I grab the door handle and pull really hard, scooting the table out of the way with the door.

Once inside, I walk to the back of the store and pick out a soda from the cooler, then walk over to a shelf and look at the small bags of chips and snacks. There is a bag a Hawaiian Onion potato chips with a $1.29 price tag and a small bag of popcorn right next to it with a price tag of $11.99. I pick up a bag of popcorn and look at it again to see that the price tag has disappeared. I pick up another bag and the price tag falls off onto the floor. I want to pick up the price tag, but find myself distracted by a couple of guys standing at the next aisle that are giving me a really strange look.

I wake up to see that I overslept a bit and am late to work.
