    1. 20 Aug: My cousin is sick and my house is taken over by body snatchers

      non-dream dream semi-lucid lucid FA / AP

At my house, but it is much bigger. My dad comes by, unnanounced, with my uncle Zé, aunt and cousins and I have a meltdown because my house is a total mess and I am not feeling well enough to receive guests. Nobody cares. They take my cousin Duarte to a bedroom where he is looked after by two nurses. He is on IV, taking shots, crying in pain. I hold his hand lovingly in support him and ask what's going on but he doesn't say.

I return home after some time away and I am appalled to find it occupied and in very bad condition. The bathroom has water dripping, the sink is clogged, there is trash all over. Then some guys enter the bathroom completely naked and someone else is recording and taking pictures of them while they mock me. The place seems to have been taken over by a bunch of people who are basically shameless pigs. They invite me to join them for a meal but I refuse. They get pissed and take me and other strangers outside where they reveal they will take control of our minds and bodies, like parasitic zombies. They do something and I lose control of my body, they move it like a puppet, but my mind resists. Eventually I break out of their control and I escape and run to a mountain where I encounter a resistance group.

I keep hearing this noise as I am trying to fall asleep. Eventually it gets too loud and appears to be coming from the TV. I pull the blankets off and said knock it off, my eyes caught a glimpse of slash marks surrounding the carpet floor despite having all the lights turn off. This TV has done strange things in the past before so I shrug it off and tried to go back to sleep. That's when I began feeling ill and felt heavy but only in my head general area.

The pressure began getting too intense so I got up and decided I should try to focus on something else instead of sleep. I struggle getting off the bed and I struggle even more when my feet touch the ground. I could hardly walk, the pressure in my head began to sky rocket to the point where I heard a loud bang. I attempted to open the front door of the room to get some help but quickly got dizzy. I started having clarity that I am in a dream as I could feel someone taking over my control of the dream body. Moving it and even thinking in a different way, feeling confuse didn't take long for me to wake up.

I appear on the bed in different position than I was in before, I had still gained some lucidity and could still hear a noise around me. Every time I attempted to move the blankets would tie all around my legs. I kept feeling a prickling sensation through out my lower body. This went on for 10 seconds, that's when I lost awareness. I wake up again thinking I must've had a lucid dreaming and disliking how I didn't get the time to do anything adventurous.

I got up and saw the bathroom lights were on and had running water flooding the floor. It was turning in to a real mess, I turn shower off and got out. I could overhear my mother speaking to someone but didn't really care to listen. I tried putting my socks to prepare for the day. It was only once I wake up again that I realize I had a false awakening. Lucidity Time: 31 seconds

I was in a cabin with two other people I haven't met. The guy with a jacket was telling the girl with unusual hair if she was going to switch bodies with me. I told him we've already done that before. She then sends me in to the body of a taller man wearing a light blue dress shirt with khaki pants with a low cut. As him I was washing my hands and got out to try finding my family. I soon met up with my brother and mom, I began questioning about stuff I suspected for some time but can no longer remember what these things were.

Soon the girl with unusual hair began telepathically communicating with me, telling me I don't have enough time. I got zap out of the body and black out. A dream began to appear where I found myself walking in the living room. It was dark since no lights were on, I sat near a couch where I found my old beaten up shoes lying around. I starting placing them on to my feet which is odd since I was grew out of them a long time ago. I then tied my shoes and heard the door beginning to knock.

I figure it must be another criminal trying to rob the place. I get up and head to my father room, my father tells me he is going in to the kitchen. I went to the bathroom and sat down on to the soaked floor waiting for some loud noise to hit me. That's when I look up at the bathroom and realize half of the door was missing. I felt like I've been in this situation before I thought. Murky sounds started echoing from the living room. I got up from the floor and did an RC to confirm whether I was in a dream.

The air went right through the nose plug and fully confirm to me that I am dreaming. I kept getting the feeling that something was awaiting me out in the living room, so I went near the curtains and jump at them with the immediate intention of phasing through it. I could feel my legs touching the grass outside but my upper body wouldn't get out. Soon the curtain began hurling my body back in to the house. I could feel how physical my grip was on the curtain to force myself to stay on the ground.

However somehow this curtain is still sending me back with each second. The voice were getting louder so I needed to use some dream control quick. I began to yell no and got desperate and tried thinking of being on a beach or a park. However it wasn't working so I began trying to force myself to wake up but still nothing, this all felt too physical as my body was almost fully back in to the house. I got angry and manage to overpower the curtain and landed on the grass outside.

It was night and I started trying to walk but my legs felt strain from how much pressure the curtains had. I soon notice that there is something on my back, I tried to scratch it off but it wasn't coming off. I look and saw that I had piece of the curtain still attach to me. The pieces began to form in to a body size disk. Why wont it come off I wonder, not long after that it started to hurtle me up in the air. While up there I began to feel pencil pricking pain all over my chest and back.

This continue till the sky turn bright day and after a couple of spins I landed down to a building. I could feel the pressure leave my back it was finally off. I appear to have crash at a park with a bunch of people riding bikes. I started thinking what are the best ways to wake myself up. I decided to lean near a building store and focus on the sound of all the riders bike racing down on the concrete. It sounded so distracting, I then focus on finding some sensation of my body lying on the bed. That's when I manage to wake myself up. Lucidity time: 6 minutes
    4. Oh Good, a Body-Snatcher Dream...

      by , 04-19-2013 at 05:52 PM
I'm not sure if I can properly express just how much I hate body-snatcher dreams. As disturbing as the cannibal dream was, I'd gladly watch that again if it meant I didn't have another one of these.
Possession. Body-snatchers. People who look like my loved ones but no longer act like them, knowing that everything that made them who they are is GONE. They are dead and still walking around. (Oddly, zombies don't really bother me. There's a fine distinction there.)

I'm in my childhood home in Massachusetts. My father and brother are there with me and after a time, so is Liam. The house is dark, all the lights are off. The three men are sleeping in the living room.
Help with getting lucid-layout.jpg (I went a little crazy there for a minute and built you a layout)
I'm dropped into the middle of an action, walking down the hallway from my room. The house feels wrong, but I can't figure out why. We came home in the middle of the night. I pass the kitchen door and catch a glimpse of something on the floor. I take a step back, feeling tense and on the edge of fear. Yellow and green balloons litter the floor. I don't like the look of them.
Suddenly one of them moves, and I realize there are things inside them. A slimy, translucent thing. Kind of like a gooey slug. I start yelling for the men to wake up, that we have to get out of here before the things finish becoming. Blearily they rise, I beckon them to me.
"Quickly, get your things. We need to leave."
"I don't understand the problem." My brother says.
I stab a finger toward the creepy balloons. "You're telling me that doesn't bother you at all."
Fear steals over their faces. Liam seems pretty placid, but he's mostly a shadow right now. I don't see his face so much as I know he's there. He's taller than my brother and father by a good half foot.
We rush to the other end of the house, everyone splits off and goes into various rooms. Gathering clothing and other necessities. I duck into my room, the only one that's lit, and see a slug-creature on the wall above the nightstand. It has a yellow-green center, surrounded by clear membrane. I find my dad and tell him that they've finished becoming. We rush out into the hallway, the four of us together, but I've forgotten something so we go into my room first. The slug is gone. I feel a spike of panic. I know that when it takes a person, they will cease to be who they are and be in control of the slug.
I step back into the hallway, relieved, "Good, it didn't get any of you." Liam stands mid-hall. He has his head cocked to the side, standing very still, his back to me.
"You're wrong." He says quietly. The words are like a slap.
"What? NO!" I reach out to him and my fingers brush his elbow, which has creepy slug goo on it. "No, no, no! This isn't happening." I retreat a few steps.
"I'll....fight as long as I can. Go. While I can...hold it off." His voice sounds distant, watery.

I force myself awake and roll over. When I fall back asleep, I dream about Dream Views. NewArtemis has posted a dream. It's just a picture, a claymation still. There's a tree, there is a large hole in the middle right before the crown. Wooden boards make a crude ladder up to the hole, one branch juts out to the left. On the jutting branch is a boy. Climbing up the ladder are a boy and a girl. The climbing boy has dropped one arm and is facing the 'camera', his mouth is open in a horrible grimacing smile, lined with sharp teeth. I scroll down and Artemis posts "My pack is dead."
I don't understand, I scroll back up and the image flashes. First there is an orange and white cat crouched in the hole in the tree. When it flickers the cat first stands on its hind legs, and in the next it disappears.
      "See, he's gone."
      (O.o wtf...)

I drift into a deeper sleep and I'm sitting next to a dog. She even looks a little like my dog, with less white in her coat. My sister adopted her and I hear my sister say what a good find she is. That when they retired her from the Fire Department, everyone clamored to adopt. Just like when _______ was retired. I heard a name, I don't remember it. He was a bright red, looked a little like a blood hound. I see his collar drop off to signify that he is retired.
I pet her a little, and then test her patience. I'm curious if she's as well-behaved as Caspian. She doesn't look pleased when I put my hands on her face, but she only bares her teeth a little and then dips her head away.

I'm sitting on a couch telling people on the forum about my creepy slug dream. I only really remember the man. Slim, lean muscle, short wavy dark hair and black/brown eyes. He's wearing a grey tank top. He's sitting next to a girl. He calls behind me, to my boyfriend who is laying on the couch under some blankets.
"Does any of this bother you?"
My boyfriend throws a hand out from under the blankets in a dismissive wave. "Just a dream."
