    1. 17-11-17 Once in a Lifetime, Chasing Galactica in Speedboat

      by , 12-21-2017 at 11:56 AM
I vaguely recall a few scenes set in a supermarket? Later, I suddenly find myself in an NYC sewer. I don't remember how I got there. I went up and looked outside, expecting to see my own country (obviously), but nope: US license plates and obvious NYC buildings. I remember I lost my shoes and socks? Once outside on the streets, I needed to find my way to LaGuardia or JFK to get home. Waiting at a traffic light, an almost naked girl tried stealing from my backpack. I caught her and told her not to do it. She got on a private jet with her dad, and I casually joined them. Turns out she was Dutch. I said "so am I!", except I'm Belgian. We had to 'crawl' through some kind of tunnel made of fabric to the cockpit (??). It was extremely claustrophobic. Then I saw there were only two seats, so I told them I had to get off. Someone reminded me I had to visit an orphanage on the 25th and that's why I was in NYC. It's possible the whole orphanage thing was mentioned in the supermarket bit before this dream. I woke up from this dream with the song "Once in a Lifetime" by The Talking Heads in my head, so I guess that was the dream's soundtrack.

The Battlestar Galactica had landed on a river, ready to take off. The river was in the middle of a major city. Much like NYC, now that I think of it. I had to chase Galactica down from the ocean on a speedboat, through the very narrow river/channel. I made a sharp turn when I reached it, and kind of smacked into it, rocking the Battlestar. Adama was furious, and they opened fire on us (there was someone else on my boat). That made a lot of holes in the hull (of Galactica?). The holes 'healed' and the audience cheered as they saw it happened (so basically I'm inside a TV-show that's being watched). We got on board once they understood we were friendlies, and strapped in for takeoff. Some dude next to me got a bit too touchy-feely. Guess he was gay? Anyway, we were eating potato chips as we took off. Adama was seated to my left, the other dude to my right.
    2. Battlestar Galactica on a Budget [PG13 or R]

      by , 02-21-2015 at 06:53 PM
02-21-2015 -- [Rated at least PG-13 or R for mostly non-specific and undetailed robot sex.] I find myself at the Moran house, on the enclosed, roofed-in path leading to the front door. For some reason, there is a sort of couch or lounge here, and I am laying on it, while some of my crap is just laying around out here. I think there is something about my sister being around and speaking to me, but then she vanishes. Carl stops by, and I think I am asking him about possible help with a move or something, but he tells me he doesn't have the time, and suggests hiring movers, and I grumble that I'll never have the chance of doing that. Rosemary is inside, looking out the kitchen window, and I know she is just waiting for Carl to leave to come out and start grumbling at me, so as he leaves, I lay down and pretend to be sleeping.

I only start to 'wake' when Rosemary calls my name a couple of times, and I start doing the snort, 'wha?' type of thing. She is kind of annoyed with me, but isn't doing a lot of lecturing. Instead it seems she has been gathering up my clothes and starting to wash them. She is folding some of my old guard shirts, and tosses me a couple of pairs of guard pants to fold, and I don't say anything, but I am wondering where she found them, as I haven't worked as a guard for more than 10 years. As I am folding them and setting them aside, I am glancing around and discovering there are a lot of broken fragments of wasp nests around, and that more and more angry wasps seem to be showing up, too. I duck into the house and shut the door behind me, but I notice there is a sort of a vent in the door, and I worry that the wasps will just follow me inside. But they don't.

I'm amazed, and ask about it, but as soon as I ask, I notice there is a sort of a glass cover on the vent, keeping the wasps out. Of course, as soon as I notice the cover and touch it, it starts to fall out, and I'm struggling to get it back in place, while a couple of the wasps are managing to slip inside. At this point things kind of shift a bit, and I find myself standing in the back yard (still at the Moran house), and there seems to be almost a sort of a small carnival going on or something. There are lots of people wandering around, and I don't know, but it may be a clown alley thing, because Chris and Roger have set up a 'booth' that is a sort of a paintball obstacle field, but instead of paint guns, they are making the kids balloon swords, and letting them in to go wild. The others in the alley are kind of looking down on them, but they figure the kids are having a ball, and are really happy, so it's all good to them, and I rather agree.

Then the dream shifts for just a moment or two, and I think I am reading some strange novelizations that have been written of the Harry Potter movies, changing things a bit, just like the movies changed things a little from the actual novels they were based on, and I think there are bits of the golden trio and Dumbledore and maybe a slightly kinder version of Snape running around the Hogwarts grounds being chased by Rover (weather balloon from The Prisoner) or something weird like that. Then it's gone, and I'm back to the main dream.

Still at the carnival, still lots of people running around, and a lady comes up to me asking me about something. No idea what, but whatever it is, I am directing her to Rosemary for an answer, when I know I could answer her myself, and I shouldn't be passing on all the work to Rosemary ... but I do, anyway. She just mutters about how Rosemary is clueless, and doesn't know what is going on. By that point, I've wandered over toward the side yard, and some guy, older, self-important, and a bit heavy, is complaining about us not having a room for him or something, and I comment on how this isn't a hotel, which only makes him madder.

Suddenly we're back in the covered path leading to the front door, and there are several more people around, and the guy is still complaining. I look at him and tell him he really ought to get out of here before the invasion happens. And suddenly there it is in my mind. The Cylon invasion that I have lived through before in the past, and I suddenly realise it is just about to happen again. (Past dream? Not that I remember, but who knows.) I start warning the others that they might want to get out while they can. But most of them don't move. We're still in the covered walk, but now where the front door ought to be, there is a conveyor belt coming from one of the ships, and unoading supplies.

At first the belt is moving really quick, and a couple of metal bars (kind of like rebarb, but rectangle-ish) come shooting out, and I just kind of dodge out of the way. Then it is several crates, and I am kind of pushing them as the drop off the belt, so they half stack on the right side of the path, facing where the door should be. There are a couple of computers and monitors, then some more bars, but this time moving slowly enough that I just support them and push them on past me. As more and more stuff comes down the conveyor belt, and not enough people help stack and move stuff, the narrow path is becoming more and more crowded and cluttered.

Suddenly all the crates and supplies have been loaded onto a small caravan of robotic trucks, and we're just clutching to the crates and hanging off the sides as they are taken a short distance to a huge warehouse, where the trucks just pull in and park in rows. We're trying to figure out where we are and what we should do next. One slightly friendly android warns us that in about five minutes they will seal the warehouse, and activate some sort of security system that will kill any humans inside. They are not specifically trying to kill us, they just sort of exterminate any 'vermin' that slip in with the supplies! Oh joy! We start to kind of panic, and begin running around trying to figure out how we can get out of here.

Most of the walls, even with doors in them, we have no idea what they might lead to, and if we managed to break through the (locked) doors, we might only find ourselves further into the same warehouse. I see one set of perhaps six or eight doors marked as emergency exits, but they are alarmed, and I know if we bust out, we'll find ourselves facing a large troop of Cylon Raiders ready to blast us (from the 70s show, not the 2000 version.) This is what I mean by budget ... I know there are tons of scifi aliens around, but we never actually see almost anyone or anything actually cool looking.

As we run around, I see Barack Obama standing there in a suit, a bit of a smirk on his face, kind of directing the robot trucks into their places. They don't actually need or care about his direction, and he doesn't realize the place is about to be sealed up and he is going to be exterminated with the rest of us, and it seems sort of poetic justice, since he collaborated with them in setting up the whole invasion, anyway. I continue along rows of supplies and pallets of stuff, and come across an attractive blonde in a yellow polka-dot sun dress sort of thing, doing odd contortions that show off her body a bit, and her rather nice legs and underwear, as she decides she wants to have sex before she dies, and one of the others decides to help her out.

At that point, an odd sort of blocky robot wearing a similar yellow polka-dot dress is kind of asking "Sex? What is sex?" and indicating an interest in learning about the subject. I make a comment about how we've no time to teach 'her' as we're all about to be killed, and some of the others indicate I'm stupid not to take advantage of the situation. So I start to think that maybe this will somehow lead to a way to survive this, and I decide to have sex with the robot. The problem is, as I approach it, it is shrinking. It started out perhaps four feet tall, with a blocky, but still fairly human shape. It is now perhaps eight inches tall, and mostly one square, hollow tube, about 2" x 4" x 6" with thin arms coming out the sides, and ticker legs sticking out a couple of inches at the bottom. The head is now nothing more than a small mouth slot near the top of the 'body.' I reach out and pick it up and the legs fall off. I raise it to look at it's 'bottom' and it is more or less a hollow square tube with a smaller hollow square tube (about 1 3/4" x 1 3/4") at one end. I kind of shrug and push myself in it, and it is tight, uncomfortable, and no fun. With every stroke, my tip kind of pokes out the mouth slot. And the robot it kind of losing its mind, but probably not in any sort of a good way. Then I wake up. Weird.
    3. Anna: The Search For a New Home

      by , 06-28-2014 at 06:33 PM
It was dark in the Battle Star dinning hall. There is not much that I can recollect in terms of general mood but I can only assume it was not terribly downcast. Years back humanity was forced out of his own planet by the androids and now we were all riding through space on The Battle Star searching for a new planet to call home. Among us was the cast of the show “Battle Star Galactica” and President Barack Obama. Now years back a little girl had died of disease on The Battle Star and since then this girl had become a mascot of hope for the crew. Her legacy is lived on through this strange song that the crew sang all the time. The song was called “Anna’s Wonderful.” It was literally just a long song of praise towards this girl. They probably admired her so much since this girl had fought so hard to stay alive. I actually remember the song clearly
      The song went:

      Anna’s Wonderful
      Anna's Perfect
      Anna's Wonderful
      Anna’s Great

We were teaching it to the President whom I suspect was our latest arrival. Now the dinning hall was dark and only had a few lights. I hear a woman whispering to her friends about the possibility of more androids being in The Battle Star. Which made me wonder…Could she have been an android? I kept my mouth shut as I suspected that it was not her intent to be heard.

    4. 06/13 Captive, 06/14 Battlestar Galactica

      by , 06-16-2013 at 06:16 AM
      Captive
This one felt strange because for most of it I was a ghost. In most dreams, obviously, I switch characters seamlessly and hardly notice that it's happening. This time however, I consciously make the decision to become her.

We are in a small basement apartment and is an entirely new construction, which is odd for me. Most houses are, in some way, ones I
have lived in. The walls are dark red, the carpet beige. Immediately to the left of the front door is the bathroom, three steps in there's a couch sitting across from a loveseat. There is a floor lamp with a simple glass bell shade. I'm crouched by the loveseat.
On the couch is a thin woman in an ankle length light brown dress. She has extremely curly hair, it's a wispy pale brown. A man pins
her to the cushions, she is still mostly clothed, so is he, but it's still obvious that he's raping her. She issues soft, breathless sobs and negations, her blood smeared hands push ineffectually at his shoulders and chest.
I want to bash his face in. I urge her to grab the lamp shade and hit him with it, and after a moment she looks at it and considers following my suggestions. As she is reaching for the neck of the lamp, he finishes and stands up. I get a view of his back as he zips up his fly and tucks in his shirt. I glare at him. She watches him with fear and uncertainty. She sits up, lowering her skirt back over her knees.
He says that he has to leave for work, and explicitly outlines what will happen to her sister if she tries to leave. He muses that she can't
possibly expect the police to believe that she was held captive and raped, after all, he is a police officer. He turns to face her, looking out the high narrow windows, buttoning his cuffs. He's about 5'7" with short black hair, a cruel face with black, dead eyes. She can't stand to look at him, and when he begins to walk toward her, she darts for the bathroom and slams the door behind herself.
We can feel him on the other side and how little her flight has affected him, how very little she can do against him. She feels like
screaming or crying. We hear the front door shut and lock, apparently it locks from the outside too. Just in case she became adventurous.
My eyes settle on the single window above the toilet. I urge her to look out. She pauses to wash her hands and then does as I say. She
has to climb up onto the toilet to look outside. The bathroom, like the rest of the house, is painted red. The window is more like a screen on a hinge, and on the other side is a cramped tunnel.
I watch as she stares outside, between the hedges to where he's standing talking to my boyfriend. I hear him say that he has lost his car keys. Which is true, but he's also a police officer ((complete fabrication)) from out of state. Something has made him suspicious, but he can't put his finger on it.
"Sorry buddy, I can't help you. The manager inside might have a phone you can use."
My boyfriend heads inside the apartment building. The woman's captor stands beside the car there, talking on his cell phone.
Her hand falls limp to her side. I press my boyfriend's keys into her hand. She doesn't even question how she got them. I urge her to go, but she's too terrified. I step up and become her. I open the window and squeeze myself into the tunnel. It is a little more than one length of my body, I scrape my elbows wiggling forward. I reach the other side and wait until his back is turned, I separate from her and watch her crawl out. I follow after. We hide behind a solid backed bench on just the other side of the hedges.
She freezes, and she can't anticipate his movements like I can. I join with her again. He pivots and we go to hide behind a black Dodge Avenger. We hear our captor get into a car and drive away. For a moment I'm confused, and think I'm looking for my boyfriend's old car, a teal Sunfire. I hesitantly click the unlock button on the key and the Dodge Avenger bleeps from behind me. I separate from her hand urge her to get away before my boyfriend comes back. She opens the driver side door and slips inside...

      Battlestar Galactica
The house we're sitting in feels like my childhood home in MA, except that it is only one level, and beside the front door there is a
raised part of the floor, like a single step. Across from that is a low, dull gray table.
I am Cally, Chief Tyrol and Boomer sit on the raised section of floor, grimly regarding the table. I walk to the Chief on my knees, my eyes are burning and my throat feels thick. Our story has run its course, and yet we find ourselves here all over again. Running from the Cylons. I get a sense of where we are in the story, sometime before the settling on New Caprica.
Chief has his arms cross. I tug one of his arms free and he looks down at me with mild surprise.
"Cally." His voice holds the trace of a warning, but now is not the time to worry about appearances.
      "Chief, could I...?"
He lifts his arm and a curl up by his side, he drops his arm across my shoulders.
"Chief, does this mean that we have a chance to do things differently? To make better choices?" I ask, it's difficult to speak.
"Yes, I suppose it does." He replies thoughtfully.
The relief that brings me is amazing, it's such a gift, to start over. The chance to treat people better. Knowing how the story ends, would we make the same choices?
      "
She should be here soon." He says softly. We lift our eyes from the table to the darkened doorway on the other side of it.
Starbuck appears, there's something wrong with her face but I can't figure out what it is. She's also pregnant. Just far enough along that it's obvious. She leans heavily on the table then lays down on it, clutching her belly.
I leave Chief's side and go to hers. Hesitantly, I stroke the hair away from her face.
      "Are you feeling alright?"
"I think I'm miscarrying." She says. The look on her face, and the fact that she's Starbuck makes me wonder if she's making a joke.
"Are you kidding? Is she kidding?"
      "Help me sit up."
      I oblige her.

There's a lapse. I'm standing in front of Starbuck who sits with her legs dangling off the side of the table. Another woman has arrived
but I can't look straight at her, even out of the corner of my eye she disturbs me.
Starbuck trembles violently and then her mouth moves of its own accord, speaking words I don't understand.
      "Avre ein en Novem-ah."
The disturbing woman laughs at her. "Oh yes, your vast knowledge of forgotten history is astounding. You only speak of the Novem, how can you possibly know what it is to call the Novem friend?"
Starbuck can't seem to look straight at her either. Her eyes shift away uncomfortably. The disturbing woman doesn't speak again but I
get a sense of timelessness from her, wondering at the vastness of her existence that stretches across aeons. Starbuck may know these things too, because of the child she carries, but she has not lived it. Not like the Queen. This knowledge deeply chills me. This is the house of eternity, there are other paths to walk besides this one.

Then I am outside. I am a fit and unpregnant Starbuck. Admiral Adama gathers us to him on the lawn and we walk together to the road which is wider than I remember. There's a 5 foot tall wall where the woods should be. It isn't smooth, it has uneven grooves all along its length.
We walk to where the crew has broken through a 3 foot thick ice road block. We file through the ragged opening.

The oddness of what stand on the other side strikes all of us. The wall curves gently, to the right of the wall is the ocean, to the left is a dusty courtyard with a rickety wooden structure that has a roof and thin support poles, but no walls. At the far end of the enclosure is a leaning ladder of long branches, fastened together.
"What is this, ice?" Adama says, touching the wall as though we have never seen it before.
"Bet your ass it's ice, I like it!" Colonel Tigh exclaims, picking up a handful of slush and throwing it. His reaction doesn't seem child-like or whimsical.
I wonder what they were doing, obviously the wall holds back the ocean. What were they doing, forcing the ocean to recede?

We fan out and walk toward the ladder. We all start to climb it, but the top of the ladder is no longer tied down, so people keep falling off. I'm Starbuck though, and I'm certain I can climb it. So I haul myself up. I can feel the texture of the branches under my hands, and how the ladder sags outward. I reach the top as Admiral Adama and Tigh do, trying to figure out a way to leap the gap from the last rung to the next section of ladder.
I drop down and run a few paces back, where there's a thin twist of rope. I grab it and lift myself up with one arm, it holds my weight but starts to fray.
I had hoped that I could use it to cross the gap.

I wander away and start taking note of other things under the canopy. Maybe there are things that we can take away, supplies. There's a pick-up truck parked in the corner and a chest. They're full of yellow bags of dog food. Who were the people that came before us?
I watch the others, frowning at their behavior.

The next part I can't remember very well. I see flashes of what happened to the last people who found this place. They were a family of three, and a couple of farm hands.
I watch the mother, a tall brunette with short hair, wearing a red shirt, command her eight year old son to find the secret of the letters they found carved in the wall.
The task sounds like a threat. His father has gone missing, and at least one of the hands has died.

So, this one is pretty blurry, I just have some fragment about telling my christian friend that I don't believe in god.

Then, later something about caddying, which I'm going to be doing as a summer job in waking life.

This one is 5/4 but I might as well put it here

I had a dream about a virus that slowly mutates people in machines. There were three woman clothed in very futuristic clothing, and with shower caps on. (think battlestar galactica)

So there were three women that looked kind of like this, except without the surprised expression. So they were being trapped in some machine that would mutate them. These mutations happened in intervals. There were flashes(like camera flashes). The first flash, the face gets a little messed up. Dots and little pieces of metal appear. Then another flash, and a futuristic armour-like look starts to appear. The face is partially covered now, and everything looks very painful. Two more flashes in, the person is no longer human. I know what is going to happen, but these women don't. So I have some kind of radio contact with one of them. I tell them that after the first flash they won't feel anything. Turns out I was wrong, and after the first flash they start screaming, and are under immense pain. After a while, I start crying (I can see them somehow, probably my mind scene changing) I can't watch anymore, and I can't remember anything after that.

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

Lots of random sword fights. Don't recall too many details. I did get lucid at one point during the night.

I go to bed in my dream and experience a FA, but this isn't my room. Something is off. I think to myself:

I must be dreaming, that's pretty cool I guess. I don't really feel like getting out of bed, though. Someone I know from college comes through the door and asks if she can watch a video.

I pretty much lose all semblance of lucidity at this point, as I explain to her to go ahead, and not to worry about disturbing my sleep 'cause I can hear the video through my eyes, so it's all good. The video is one of the later episodes of Battlestar Galactica, and some guy gets angry about a character getting killed off because he hasn't watched this far in the series. Anyways, from there it devolves into me participating in an episode of SG-1, except the cast has been replaced with the cast from Atlantis. McKay's voice is different and annoys everyone for some reason. . .

      Not a very productive lucid. . .

Why do I suck so much?

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

Traveling through the halls of my old High School, there's quite a few people there I know. Most of them graduated before I did and were just visiting like myself. Since I'm a college student, and all college students have learned some form of secret elemental control, I show off my new abilities in the hallways by creating a wind tornado around my feet. I'm darting through the halls and flying down stairs, just having a good time.

      Aren't false memories awesome?
