    1. 8/19/16 - Fragments

      by , 08-19-2016 at 07:06 PM
Fragment 1: I keep trying to catch up to this girl. It's important that she knows I'm like her. I finally catch up to her and tell her that I'm the same, that I'm of the blood too. She smirks and says, "Did you think we don't already know?".

Fragment 2: I'm in Grandma's bathroom. The door is cracked open slightly so that I can see my older sister still, but I'm able to keep away from her. She keeps threatening me.

Fragment 3: I'm trying to roll a giant bowling ball home. It's really heavy and hard to control. As I pass a boy, I grab onto him and have him help me roll it home.
    2. Drones + Smallpox + Bed Monsters (NLD + FA-DILD + DILD)

      by , 05-09-2015 at 09:55 PM
Ritual: It was a great night for dreaming, probably because I went to bed so much earlier than usual, though I've also been especially attentive to my RCs for the last couple days. I went to bed a little before midnight, and I'm also currently on the East Coast, so the clock was three hours ahead of my usual time zone. My sleep was punctuated with the usual half-dozen wakings, though I didn't do any specific night practices other than try to pay attention to the transitions between sleeping and waking, and in this I was not persistant or prompt enough to pull off a WILD or a DEILD. But by around 6am I woke up from the first DILD, spent until 7:30am writing it down, then went back to bed and lucked into a second one.

NLD, "Drones": I'm standing by a floor-to-ceiling, wall-length window in a big hotel suite, looking out over the curve of a bay. From the height we must be somewhere between the 20th and 30th floor, and to the right I can see another tall building, or perhaps an extension of the same hotel, following the curve of the beach. Ahead and to the left is the flat horizon of the sea. It would be a pleasant view if it weren't for all the drones hovering in our field of vision, each one carrying a sign with a single word on it, white block letters on a black background. The words seem to be completely random.

"It's like some dystopian future," I comment to Peter Dinklage, who is standing to my left. I muse about what it would be like if the drones were weaponized, and turned on us like machines tend to do in science fiction. Though a chilling thought, they are awkwardly constructed without any armoring, and look like they would be easy to shoot down.

Then I notice that although they are not armed with guns, each drone is fitted with a camera, which is just as bad in some ways. Are they conducting mass surveillance on us? The cameras are all pointed directly at us. As I watch, a see a few drones of a different type fly in very close. They are not carrying signs, and they are disk-shaped, topped with a transparent dome through which we can see tiny people inside operating them. The pilots can't be human: even though I am standing next to a dwarf, they are much smaller than him, the size of babies, but with adult features and pointed ears. One of them waves at us, and Peter Dinklage says something like, "This is really disturbing."

FA-DILD, "Smallpox": Shortly after this I have the sense of waking up, though it is not a typical FA; I do not find myself in bed. I feel like I am standing in the same spot, in the same room, only awake now. Everyone else who was in the room a moment ago is gone, and there is no longer any impression of a view. The light has changed, becoming greyer and dimmer: it felt like late afternoon a moment ago, now it feels like early morning.

At once I notice that something is wrong with my body: a dense network of small patchy blisters is completely covering my skin. I look at myself in third person, as though in a mirror, and see them everywhere: covering my face, my chest, my arms, every patch of visible skin is mottled with these raised lesions. I know exactly what they are, too, I've seen them before in historical pictures: these are smallpox pustules, apparently in an early stage, since they are slightly lighter than my natural skin color and haven't scabbed or opened yet.

Immediately my rational mind rejects the scenario: didn't I get vaccinated for this? I realize I don't specifically remember getting a smallpox vaccine, but... isn't that because smallpox is extinct? I can't recall the details but I'm sure I remembered hearing that. Surely it's not making a comeback, like measles, because of all these anti-vaccers? But that can't be right—if smallpox were coming back then vaccinations for it would have become available, and I'd have been first in line.

This can't be happening. I try to will away the pustules but nothing changes. I remain unconvinced. This can't be happening, it must be a dream. If I can levitate, I will know it is a dream: I put my mind to it and though I do not levitate properly, I can feel that gravity is definitely different from waking life. So it is a dream! Okay, that's what I thought. Thank goodness I don't really have smallpox. Now I just need to fix my appearance.

I go into the bathroom and look in the mirror, trying to will my skin smooth again. The pustules are stubbornly persistant, but a lock of hair turns white and I decide to transform the rest of it for fun. It instantly turns stark white, but the texture remains smooth and silky. This gives me the idea to turn my skin jet black, like that of a drow elf. I concentrate and most of it transforms, but there are still pale patches on my forehead and upper cheeks, and when I look down at my legs, they are a streaky grey that is fading out toward the ankles, more like body paint than skin pigment.

On the bright side, changing the color of my skin finally got rid of the pustules, leaving it smooth again. Now I just want to even out the color, but the pale patches resist my initial attempts to darken them through will alone. I try to use my hands, as though spreading pigment over the resistant areas, and this helps a bit, but it is not an easy fix. As I peer closer into the mirror during this process, I notice that my eyes are solid black. I can't remember if this was the correct color for drow eyes, but I really like the effect. By the time I complete the skin transformation, my hair has faded from snow white to a yellower bone white, and this looks better and more natural with the jet black eyes and skin.

During this process my hair has been going through stylistic variations, always long and straight, but hanging down in different ways, and smeared with substances like blood or oil. I figure this makes sense for drow fashion, since living underground they probably don't bathe all that often, making hair treatments like oil very practical, whereas the bloody streaks look impressively gruesome. Although my skin won't stay pure black, it doesn't fully revert to its natural shade either, but retains traces of color, like streaky orange-browns on a muted blue base, while the hair stays yellowish-white.

WBTB: I woke up and spent over an hour writing the report of the last dream, but afterwards it was still early enough to go back to bed. Although I was not sleepy, it was a pleasantly lazy morning, and I enjoyed drifting in hypnagogic imagery. There was a period of ambiguity where it became increasingly difficulty to tell if I was having waking or dreaming experiences, and then I slipped again into full dream.

DILD, "Bed Monsters": I was wandering through the large house belonging to my in-laws where I am currently staying, and I had lost count of the number of bedrooms... there had to be more than twenty. Just how big was this place? At that moment I realized, no, of course it is not so big in waking life, it is because I am dreaming that the size has been exaggerated. Dreaming, eh? Wasn't there something I had meant to do, if I found myself dreaming in a bedroom? Suddenly I recalled this month's TOTM, to make friends with the monster under your bed. Oh! I should get back to the room where I'd been sleeping! I dashed back so quickly I was afraid I would destabilize the dream, but luckily it stayed intact.

I peered under the bed but it was a pleasant open space. It looked like there were a few banal things stored under there, but nothing looked sinister or monstrous. I felt around for something to work with, and my hand closed around a small plush object, which I withdrew and examined closely. It was a small brown teddy bear, only five inches long, with a plump, pear-shaped body and tiny beady eyes. There was a lighter brown oval around the bit of stiching that served as a nose. I was impressed with the detail with which I could perceive it, but had no idea how was I supposed to "make friends" with it. It seemed totally inert, a harmless stuffed animal. I set it on the thick folds of the comforter piled on the bed. "Dance!" I commanded. It just sat there. "Dance!" I tried a few more times, but it remained inaminate.

I walked around to the other side of the bed, setting down the teddy bear on a dresser. I turned away for a moment, and when I looked again it had changed: now it was a sort of bell-shaped plastic structure hanging from the ceiling by a string. I couldn't tell what its purpose was, but it still appeared to be an inert object.

It occurred to me that I had been walking around and standing right next to the bed completely heedless of the space underneath. If there really were monsters under there, I'd have to watch out for my ankles! I wondered if this was the problem, that I didn't really have any lingering childhood fear of monsters under the bed. Perhaps I should try again with more intent.

I bent down and looked under the bed from this side, trying to keep the idea of monsters in mind. I still didn't see much under there: it was a light and airy space, just like in waking life, completely different from the overstuffed space under my bed at home. But I did see a scrap of cloth within arm's reach, so pulled it out. It turned out to be a little crocheted cat, only about three inches long, white with some orange spots. I guessed it must have been made by a total amateur. The body seemed floppy like it was unstuffed, and as I turned it over in my hands, I discovered that it was actually crocheted in a single flat piece with the four little legs sticking out horizontally, so only when it was folded in half along the back did it look plausibly like a cat. The head was the only piece that appeared to have been crocheted with any semblance of three-dimensionality. As I studied it closely, I saw tiny points of bright green contrasting with the dominant the white and orange: there was a little green tuft on the trip of the tail, and projecting from the head was a narrow appendange like the antenna of a cartoon alien, also topped with a green point.

However, this object also showed no sign of motion or life, so it would be hard to say I was "making friends" with it. But then my eye caught a glimpse of orange fur near my feet: my cat had appeared! I wasn't surprised that she had turned up: when thinking about the task in waking life, I had reasoned that she really was the monster under my bed. Though I adopted her when she was about five months old (the best guess of the shelter) she had been living in a feral state before that, and even after five years of comfortable indoor living she still has the edgy instincts of a street cat: she hisses at the slightest provocation, and holes up under the bed for hours whenever a stranger is in the house.

I knelt down to ruffle her long, soft fur, which felt totally life-like, but I noticed the color was off. In the dream she was calico, with big orange patches, but I remembered that she was a tabby in waking life. I wondered if she could qualify as my dream bed monster—though right now she was acting very pleasant and relaxed, and I figured it probably wouldn't count because I had already made friends with her in WL.

Yet again I peeked under the bed, and this time at last I found the perfect candidate for my experiment. I felt that it was connected somehow with the tame cat at my feet, as though all her feral qualities had separated into a different animal. This one had a tortoise-shell coat, all the same colors as a calico but in smaller, more mingled patches. Although the fur resembled that of a cat, the body suggested another animal entirely, with a narrower head and tapering snout. I was pretty sure it was a fox. Best of all, it was already hissing and snarling at me! This was the monster I had been looking for!

Now all I had to do was make friends with it. I began calling to it in the cooing, overly affectionate voice I might use with my cat. "Come here... lovely sweetie... lovely sweetie. I have treats for you my love... treats for you my love." The animal reacted as any feral creature would, holding its ground and continuing to hiss and snarl. I could see the tension locked into its body, poised for fight or flight. I reasoned that since it was a dream monster, the best approach would be to hug it, but that wasn't obviously wasn't going to be possible while it was still under the bed. I needed to draw it out first.

I reached under the bed and the animal snapped at the air and threatened to bite me. I considered drawing my hand back for a different approach but decided to let it go ahead and bite, inspired by that wonderful scene in Miyazaki's Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind where Nausicaa tames the fox-squirrel by remaining calm and patient when it bites her finger. Plus, since it was a dream I didn't have to worry about physical harm. So I kept reaching toward the animal until it bit down on the middle of my left index finger. The pain was surprisingly clear and sharp, but easily manageable. I kept thinking of that scene from Nausicaa and projecting similar expectations on this situation. I felt the animal relax enough to take a few steps closer to me, but it had not yet emerged from under the bed when the dream abruptly faded. Intriguingly, even after I had fully transitioned to wakefulness, I could still feel a distinct itch in the second joint of my left index finger where the animal had bitten me.

    3. The contest

      by , 01-13-2015 at 08:35 PM (Snehk's Dreamlands)
I recall being in school. I was wearing a black suit. It was the day of the great contest, which I was preparing for since weeks. I was ready, but then teacher told me that I'm going to write it in the evening, and I had to tidy the classroom first. I helped other students, and the went to the bathroom. I opened the door, and saw room devoid of anything. Just tiled walls, with tiled floor. It was old and dirty. Everyone inside was pissing on the walls. Disgusted I left the building, went out of school and went to my home. It was evening when I finally got to it. I went to the bathroom, and luckily it was regular bathroom this time. I leaved it immediately, and went outside, to my parents. I told them that I need to go. They told me that I've dirt on my trousers. I cleaned it up a bit, and entered the car.

I was walking through a New Mexican village in the middle of nowhere with my vest, belt, and Remington 700. People were giving me looks and I was looking for a bathroom. I came upon one of the three bathrooms in the village and there was a line of people waiting to use them. After standing for a while, Warner appeared and started joking around, making people laugh. He recognized me and we started talking about me moving out into a place in the middle of nowhere, and how peaceful it is. Amy was there also. Everyone cleared out and I went into a house full of girls to use their bathroom. All of them left and I got on their couch, which was also a toilet. I leave but return because I forgot to flush. All this time I'm aware of my rifle. I exit and look around. The view changes and I see a beautiful mountain range. I get in my car and drive around, checking out the houses in the village and think "Must suck to be the UPS guy that delivers out here"
I'm suddenly in a UPS facility being welcomed by a good looking skinny guy with greying hair. He gives me and a bunch of other people welcome gifts and takes us around. I see the girl who, when I saw delivering in Santa Fe, I thought was cute run up to her driver, who was a female. We kept walking and I asked if Mark that worked in Los Lunas was still here. The man said yeah and I asked to be put with him next week since it was the last week of something. The man said "Yeah I will" and I got excited. We entered a facility and I saw Antoinette. She was waiting for a door to close before she pushed the button for the lift we were on to go up. She was complaining about her supervisors, saying "Yeah I sometimes see their stinkin' heads looking at me making sure I wait till the damn doors open" I recognized her voice and called her, saying hi. I told her I'd tell her I had a dream about her next time I saw her. We had to go through a very hard obstacle course that was high up. One girl failed and they were gonna make her do it again. I thought the obstacle course was really hard, even for a person who knew parkour. I jumped on a mini trampoline and my ankle got caught in a hole. I got up and someone behind me said, "Careful, we live in NM and have the ability to swallow brain power..." meaning that most people don't know how to think properly and it doesn't really matter if we wait. I laughed and woke up laughing.
    5. 5/9/14 - bathrooms are never right

by , 05-09-2014 at 05:15 PM (Leaving the matrix)
Dream Fragment: I'm at what seems like half school half mall. I know I don't have to be there, but I'm keeping an eye for out for school security or people of authority catching me outside or something. I walk into this half inside half outside hallway that's tarped off from the outside with blue tarp. I'm walking passed people walking around and suddenly I panic and realize the many bathroom doors beside me and I quickly enter one. When I get inside it's very dim with only the outside light slightly lighting it. I see two men, one with short hair and one with long hair. They scream like wusses and I apologize and say I thought this was the girls room, and I see a door to the right of me and ask the guy with the long hair who's sitting on a toilet with no stall if this led to the girls room and he say yes, so I walk in there but there's a shit ton of girls in there so I end up just leaving the restroom.
    6. Angry bigfoot, dirty bathrooms, and a fuzzy lucid dream

      by , 10-12-2013 at 05:45 PM (Mouka's Mind Palace)
A lucid dream where at first everything was fuzzy and I thought I was laying in bed imagining things, but then the dream became more vivid and I realized I was actually in a dream. I rubbed my hands together in an attempt to stabilize it better, which worked. I was standing in a hallway leading to a big library, with checkered floors. There were many levels to the library, and an inclined hallway attached each story to the last one. I tried summoning Afiel, using expectation instead of intent, since just having intentions never worked so well, and called out for him. I tried telling myself that he would be around a corner and then I would round the corner, but nothing happened. As I continued climbing up hallways calling out Afiel's name like a crazy person, I began to notice random dream characters shambling about the library, and I got self-conscious because I didn't want to make a fool of myself in front of them. I realized I couldn't control my surroundings because I was too focused on the other people in the library, and thus couldn't summon Afiel, my social anxiety was bothering me even in the dream! I told myself "Okay, you know, these people aren't real, just go around and say hello to all of them..." so I wandered through the bookshelves saying hello to everyone I saw, and everyone smiled and said hello back. I passed by one woman with black hair, crouched down looking at books on the bottom shelf, who gave me a strange look when I said hello. I bent down next to her and asked what was wrong, and she said "Are you wearing perfume?", and I was confused for a moment until I realized I was wearing my plumeria body lotion. I told her I had that on, and she replied "I smell vanilla on you, not plumeria." and I told her that maybe vanilla was an ingredient in the lotion or something, and she got all huffy and said she was allergic, so I just walked away confused. More happened, but this dream happened near the beginning of my sleep so most of it is fuzzy.

I was undercover (or maybe a new transfer student or something?) at a school, and the lunchroom was outdoors. All the lunch tables were set up outside the school next to a giant old wooden deck. The deck was roped off because it was rotting and dangerous, and just touching it could cause it to collapse, but for some reason I really wanted to go stand on it. I remember thinking something weird was going on with the lunchroom food, so I would give the students a survey to take asking about their food and I got my own and analyzed it. I was starting to uncover some kind of secret but then they kicked me out. I also remember at some point going into the school bathroom, but it was gigantic and had dozens of rooms with hundreds of bathroom stalls, and also lots of bathtubs in-between some of the stalls. I wandered around the rooms trying to find a clean stall but they were all dirty, and I wondered what kind of person would take a bath in one of these tubs in such a dirty bathroom.

Cory and I were at a grocery store in the produce aisle looking at potatoes and yams. It was a very high-end store because there were personal concierges in the aisles that told customers all about different foods and recommended things. Our concierge was showing us these exotic potatoes that looked like onions that had been cut into slices. She showed us green ones and red ones, and we didn't really want any of them, but I felt guilty having listened to her talk about them for so long only to not buy one, so I asked which one I should get. She said "Get whichever you think is healthiest." and for some reason I decided the green one was the healthiest so I put that in our cart. Then I noticed a poster on the wall talking about a gun auction and forest scavenger hunt, and she said that the owner of the store was auctioning off all his historical guns, but when I asked where in the store it was happening she informed us it would only take place online. Then I asked about the scavenger hunt, thinking I do geocaching so it might be fun to go, and she said it was taking place outside in the woods right now. Cory didn't want to go because he wanted to keep shopping, so I went into the woods alone. As soon as I went in, the dream shifted from first-person mode to a third-person perspective about six feet above my head. I found the group, and they paired me with another guy, saying nobody could go into the woods alone due to bigfoot sightings. My teammate and I searched through the woods together, but he had a rifle which made me nervous. I asked him why he needed a gun, and he said it was for protection against the bigfoot. I was bothered by that because I didn't want to kill a bigfoot, but he insisted they were dangerous. As we kept walking, suddenly I heard a gunshot and then we turned around and saw a big white bigfoot running right by us. I screamed, and he shot it, causing it to stop running and turn its attention to us. I was pissed that my teammate had shot it for no reason, plus the bullets didn't seem to do anything, and now we had an angry bigfoot coming at us. I freaked out and fainted. When I came to, the bigfoot was chained to a tree with some kind of heavy leash, and my teammate was throwing rocks at it. I told him to stop hurting it, and he turned around to look at me, causing him to drop his guard and the chained bigfoot grabbed him. It threw him against the ground over and over and then ripped a big strip of flesh off of his leg and ate it. I ran away screaming and flailing my arms about everywhere.
    7. 8/3/13 - Frightening Reflections

      by , 08-04-2013 at 02:30 AM
I'm standing in a huge, bright bathroom. I'm in front of a mirror, looking into it. The longer I stare the stranger my appearance becomes. My reflection starts rapidly changing and flashing. My eyes flip between colors and what I see happening scares me. I finally step back from the mirror and scream. I'm hit with a wave of terror and run towards the bathroom door. I try to open it but it's locked. I jiggle the handle a few times, terrified that there's something in the room with me. The door suddenly swings open.
    8. Going Down (to save the world?)

      by , 01-01-2013 at 11:51 PM
This may be one of my weirdest dreams yet! I don't remember hardly anything from it but here's what I remember.

For reasons I can't remember, I was called upon to go down underground to join up with some warriors and save the world (from what? I have no clue or memory) and I had to get there by going down the bathtub drain which opened up just wide enough for me to go down through it. Towards the end of the dream I realized I was in a dream and made sure to remember it when I woke up so I could share it with my friend since we always have fun laughing about our dreams and how weird they are

I woke up shortly after this happened
    9. A couple dreams, mostly a casino with powers, and driving a girl home(sort of)

      by , 09-01-2012 at 08:44 PM (Exterminate)
I remembered a dream when I first woke up, but I forgot it now.
I woke up, tried a DEILD and got a lucid dream. Unfortunately it was a short and forgettable one.
I then tried another WILD, and went into sleep paralysis, kept my eyes closed, but felt myself in my old bed from my old house. I broke out of SP into my own normal bed, and went back into a dream
      Casino, with powers

Me, my parents, and my brother were at a casino, with our two dogs, and a lot of luggage. I never actually saw my family in the dream, I just know they were present. I remember chasing around a friend from a minecraft server I play on, and then I put on a ring that made me invisible. At this point I walked around and noticed the girls bathroom, I went inside, still invisible. I went into a corner and poked a girl on the shoulder to get her attention. I expected sexy time, but instead she got scared, shouting "who's there!" and backed into the same corner I was in. She squeezed up against me but then quickly stepped back because she felt something that wasn't visible. I try using the ring to phase through the wall, but it didn't work. I pointed it at the sky to fly away, but nothing happened. I willed the ring to take me out of there, but failed again. I walked around the poor woman, left the bathroom in shame and entered the mens restroom because I had to pee. I am standing there going for like 2 minutes, then someone else comes in. I turn to see who it is, but then my stream starts going everywhere! I ask for help, but receive none. Instead of cleaning the mess up I just went to the urinal and finished.

I woke up, noted my stupidity, then went back to sleep and into the next dream.

      Same casino, helping a girl

So this girl I know from our church comes up to me and asks me to help her with her car. Not knowing what to do, I spend like 2-3 hours going to the garage and parking cars randomly. I finally get bored and go back into the casino, ask her where her car is, she replies either floor 36, or floor 42, this casino was not that tall... Anyway, we grab our stuff (from the last dream, it is a lot) but leave the dogs there. I get in the passenger seat, the girl gets in the driver seat, and my brother gets in the back. Turns out she wanted me to hold the passenger door closed while she drives home, since it won't stay shut. She offers to pay me $1000 so I say yes, so she takes off. The door proves to be really hard to keep closed, and we come up to this intersection called "Kyante st." and she tells me she was going to have Kyante help her, but he was busy. She drives up to the front of her house, which is like literally 2-3 blocks away from the casino. She thanks me for helping her, curtseys, then goes inside. She didn't pay the $1000, and we were left here, with all of our stuff, having to walk back to the casino...
I look at the house, and it is a HUGE house, on a culdesac with a few other really big homes. So she is rich, in a rich part of town, but can't afford to fix her car, or pay us the $1000...
Inside the house I see another church friend, who happens to have a nice, large house irl.
So now me and my brother start gathering what we had, I look for my jacket that had things in it, I fear I left it in the casino, I find it(Also spotting a radio with earbuds on the dash that I gave to my dad irl, but to this girl in my dream), stuff some things inside, me and my brother both have our hands full with stuff, as the we walk back to the casino, and the dream ends.

      Skating fragment (Non-lucid)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

I'm with an asian girl in a city. I'm helping her do some stunts on her skate, which had videogame-like controls. She doesn't want to continue but I tell her that she's just quitting without really trying. Then we hold hands in a really weird way for the next stunt. After that I vaguely remember dreaming about some guy who killed people who told others about lucid dreaming to keep it a secret.

In which man pays for his mistakes (Non-lucid)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

I went to a place with my family where they had a virtual reality program that let you experience what it would be like if man had to pay for all of his mistakes (yeah, that's what the dream literally said) Don't rember mut about the actual experience but after it happened I started a new job as a bathroom cleaner. My aunt was also working as a bathroom cleaner and she told me everything about the job. After I'd learnt everything there is to know about cleaning bathroom a middle aged lady entered and refused to flush her toilet. She was also very rude so I started being a smartass and saying weird things about her shit.

The lady left angry but returned somewhat later as the head of the customer association and I had to go to the bosses office, where I was reprimanded.

After that I sort of wished that man really did have to pay for all of his mistakes and that's whenthe whole world really did go to shit
(I think at some point of the dream I or my hole family had been given wishing powers), the apocalypse started to happen, buildings started coming downand some other things happened which I cannot remember. After that I vaguely remember getting into a gunfight with my family. Then we got into a car and had to drive to safety before the sun came up or we'd all burn to death on the way a car from the gunfight started shoting at us but we managed to avoid it.

We arrived at a weird factor where a man stole our powers and did a jedi mind trick on us to make us forget. After some more driving we arrived at a safe town where there was no technology. At this point my family momentarily became the simpsons family and Lisa complained avout the breakfast that was some kind of weird vegetable but Bart said it was good and homer agreed.

In the end it turned out that I'd never left the virtual reality program from the beginning and that It had all been part of the experience. On the way out my brother told me that the whole adventure had been just like a movie he saw where the same sort of thing happened to two astronauts
(here the dream shifts and I'm watching the movie)

Two astronauts hadn't made the cut for the next space mission, which had only places for eighteen people, but they'd been good enough that they were selected for special training for the next one. They had to live together for a while and they were told that they needed to have as much trust around each other as they did with their loved ones. The male astronaut said goodbye to his loved one, a beautiful tall blonde woman and entered a train with the female one, who happened to be a girl I'd seen around high school and I thought that I'd never known she was an actress.

dream lucid not part of dream, but talking about it

My Mother and I were in Downtown monroe, but a taller, more live Downtown Monroe. Mom and I had stopped at a gas station to get air in our tire and gas, of course. I told my Mom that I had to go to the bathroom, so I started to run to a store that had one. I had to run down the road and past a Judge, a tall wooden stand that is across from him with a woman sitting at it.

"I can tell you all about a person from one look at them," The Judge says as I walk closer. A person walks between them to get to the crosswalk, and the Judge rattles off a little bit about the person. When I pass between them, he says "Teen Angst." I ignore him.

I go to a store and go into the bathroom. There's writing on the stall walls, and I'm tempted to scribble something down, but I don't have a pen and I'm fairly sure the janitors will just scrub it off anyway. So I don't, and I just leave the stall when I'm done. I leave the bathroom and start walking.

I keep having trouble writing down what happened. So I'll write down what I remember.

Claudia from Warehouse 13 was there. She had black fingernail polish on, and for some reason I was helping them because I knew the area we were in. I got black fingernail polish too, for some reason, and I ran to a magic shop that I couldn't go through the door, but I could open the top of the door and poke my head through. I got an odd circular thing, looking a bit like a miniature dream catcher. Claudia had one as well, and it allowed us to communicate with each other.

We were chasing after a guy, and there were ropes we had to hold onto and swing from. I was hanging onto a rope, and Claudia was in front of me, and the guy we were chasing was in front of us.

There was some kind of natural disaster and so, we had to leave by helicopter. After a short ride, we were dropped off at some kind of mall.

I instantly have to go to the bathroom. I find one and go into a stall, do my business, and go to the sink. There's a line, though, so I just look around in the bathroom. There's skylights, and through the window I can see cloudy grey sky and rain dropping down onto them. There's a man and his young son in the bathroom, talking quietly. I'm not sure what they're saying.

I go over to the sink and I notice there are hair catchers in all of them. I think this is odd, but I don't push more. I wash my hands and dry them and leave the bathroom, heading to the bookstore.

There's only a couple of people in there, and I'm looking for a book, but I can't remember the title. So I'm searching around, hoping I'll see the title I'm looking for.

I see a lot of books on vampires, and the supernatural, and stuff like that. I flip through them, don't have a lot of trouble reading them. They have a lot of pictures in them, and some are interesting. A woman dressed in purple with a mask on, a fog-covered bridge, a woman standing in a kitchen watching as an octopus attacks her sister.

I leave the bookstore, annoyed at not finding what I wanted, and pass six hispanic guys. The dream shifts from me to them.

They talk about this skit they have to do. One mentions that it might help boost morale and distract people. One guy doesn't really want to do it, but can't fault with his friend's arguments. They go to the food court, where a stage has been put up, and get into position.

The dream faded out and I woke up.
    13. #48. Walmart

This is not a lucid dream.

I'm parked in the local Walmart parking lot, waiting for a woman in a grey minivan to back out so I can leave. I look into the car and recognize someone from the forums, who I'd assumed was a guy. I don't remember who I thought she was, but I remember deciding she was a dreamer. She had short hair somehow braided close to her head, and dark skin. I guess she looked a bit like Naiobe from Matrix.

I think about meeting up with Walms, but I'm not lucid; I think all of this is happening in real life. I think I'm meeting him later.

There's a man lying on the pavement in the middle of the parking lot (behind my car). The manager (of Walmart) doesn't know what to do, and ambulance/police are on the way. The man might have raped someone? We decide we need to move him and I lift, hooking my hands under his arms while the (female) manager lifts his legs. We carry him into the lobby and lay him on a bench. The girlfriend is waiting, and he wakes up briefly and says something to her.

Possibly another dream entirely: Walmart bathrooms are converted to sleeping places for $15 a night. Carpeted, the toilets are gone and the stalls are wood. I exit the stall and find red lockers being brought in. I chat with the girl in charge of the program, but decide that I'd really rather leave. Unfortunately, the building's on lockdown until morning. I plot my escape.

After a false awakening I don't remember, I wake up. Probably. I'm dead tired and know I should RC. I flip open the curtain and count five fingers. Then I collapse back into bed and fall asleep.

Fragments. My dad talking about one of our cousins.

Walmart. Scare Factor: 1. Reaction: I think I'm catching a flu bug.

      Perspective switches like whoa.

Mad Scientists in Halifax. There's a pool ready for some Olympic event, and there are a lot of people crowded throughout the room, but no one in the pool.

      ***

I'm travelling through a Middle Eastern country by car. Two families are in the car together, neither is mine, and the characters who are sitting in the 5-person capacity car keep rotating out on me. We/They are passing farms on either side, scattered across the hilly prairie like they are, well, on the prairies. The hills are practically mountainous, they're so steep, and the grid road has been built up a lot so that it doesn't have to follow such a treacherous path. I see people wandering the hills on camels, and wonder if I'm driving through a stereotype. Miranda's driving. I collaborate with a girl in the backseat, trying to find a way to make bread on the road. Just... because.

We/They are walking into a tourist trap.

"McDonald's!" I cry with faux glee. They really are everywhere, goddamnit.

The group heads to a sign that says bathrooms, and also has baths. We've been on the road for a while, and would really appreciate a chance to get clean. These are public baths, divided by gender. The group crowds around the front desk, looking at the signs on the desk for how much it would cost them to use the baths.

      Somehow, this represents prices.

One of the girls catches up just as the rest of the group goes in. She doesn't have enough money? So she/I go(es) into one of the unisex bathrooms that are supposed to be private. Some random freaky guy shows up and she/I kick(s) his ass in a fight and then she takes off. Then I'm collectively the entire group of girls trying to figure out what happened and making up the story as they go.

Someone who looks like Cordelia Chase shows up and starts insulting everyone who works at the front desk no matter what their nationality is. DC behind the desk shifts into four different people.

I might be in an episode of a made-up season of Digimon, except there are no Digimon. There is an attempt to peer and squint at my handwriting, before I give up and just make shit up a group of characters that are replaced by new people when the original characters are taken out of the game die. A girl named Risa Cooper becomes the new Joy to much fanfare. She might be the girl from the previous dream.

There are two boys who seem to be best enemies. I alternate between their points of view for a while. Apparently, one of them is destined to kill the other, but neither of them wants to very much. They keep getting near to finishing the other one off, then backing off and doing it all again. They work together to defeat a monster. Then they put the eggs of the monster in the ground with the body and a bunch of fish or something. Then they bury it and decide that will hold them for a few years. Zooming back into a view of the desert.

I'm watching the episode online, and think about leaving a review via Stumbleupon along the lines of "You fucking idiots, why do you not smash things to pieces then bury everything in separate fucking places so they do not immediately have something to feed on upon hatching."
