non-dream dream semi-lucid lucid FA / AP People snapped and turned cannibals. I am barricated with Zilla and some other folks at a school, but we gotta move somewhere else. We know of some secure underground complex which has as entrance at the city park. Strangely, downtown life seems to still be going very much as normal and we assume the madness hasn't spread here yet, but will. We even pass by some kids from another school playing football at their yard, oblivious. But we don't say a word to anyone. We reach the underground bunkers and there are plenty food reserves down there. We know that when the crisis is all over the place, eventually the government will come and use these bunkers, but we hope that if we're already there, they'll allow us to stay or else we'll fight to stay. The bunker spreads out into weird caves all over seven floors. On one floor there is a giant ballroom with black and white chess floor.
Morning of October 23, 2018. Tuesday. Dream #: 18,936-02. Reading time (optimized): 2 min. Readability score: 69. I am at the Concordia Ballroom in La Crosse. (My father often performed publicly here when I was very young.) There is a service counter at the east end of the hall (a fictitious orientation, as it was on the north end). My father is sitting behind it. (I do not recall that he had died in 1979). His father is standing to his right but appears as being much younger than my father. (I do not focus on the absurdity of the scenario.) My grandfather is talking about the history of our family. During this time, I am trying to connect wires so that both speakers will play music. The one on the far left is working, but the far right one is not. I hear sound only in my left ear. I wrap the clusters of wire around each other. There are many that stick out from different areas of the plastic coating. My father looks on as I do this. I am wary of touching certain ones together, but in reality, it would not matter, as there is no electrical current. I spend several minutes doing this, starting over a few times. I sincerely tell my father how much I enjoyed singing with him when I was a boy. My grandfather speaks of a fictitious family history meant to be the truth. I remain puzzled about the details, but I do not say anything. Supposedly, my father’s mother’s name was Boyat (unfamiliar to me). She was famous and had an artificial knee. (In reality, the name was Ruland and appears in a book about Tecumseh.) Eventually, the right speaker starts working. When this happens, I absentmindedly but dramatically run off to the far end of the hall. I enter a bedroom where Zsuzsanna is sleeping. I leap into the air and fly a short distance. I try to wake her, as it is supposedly late in the afternoon. (In reality, she is awake, and I am asleep in my dream.) There have been numerous dreams of connecting wires. It seems to indicate a subliminal attempt to become lucid or connect with my current conscious self identity. I hear the sound in my left ear, which is dream state orientation, as I sleep on my left side with my right exposed to the real environment, so having the full connection would initiate conscious awareness within my dream. In this dream, I become more subliminally aware of being in the dream state, but I do not achieve a viable liminal or lucid understanding that I am dreaming. Still, I automatically enter the usual vestibular system correlation stage by leaping and flying in dream state indicator space; the bedroom where Zsuzsanna is sleeping. Up until then, I had no recall of my current conscious self identity. I wake shortly after this. Before I am awake, I see patterns of an offset dream forming to my left, which mostly shows laundry, and I consider it is “correct” in being down to the left.
The dream scene was in this massive building that served as a school but it also seemed like it was a getaway or vacation place for a group of students. One part of the dream was held in this auditorium where a teacher was lecturing and we were taking notes. The class ended and we walked down some stairs and through rooms. I went into a room that was like a study space with bookshelves but was a hangout spot too. In my head I remember that I had bought this space from the school for 300 or 400 dollars. The dream goes to other spots in the building. Back to the auditorium at some point but this time it's fairly empty except for a few people sitting in the back. I walked out of my place and saw a pool there. Someone was close by so I told them about the space that I bought. The other part of the dream was still near this giant building but in another section that had a giant ballroom with stairs that led outside to a beach area. It seemed to be nighttime and a lot of people were drinking. I was going between the ballroom and outside. I remember shelby and zoe were there. I had gone and talked to shelby a little bit about something. I went back to my space and then came back down to the ballroom. There were a lot of kids underage drinking on this trip. Abby b and someone else came up to me and said they had come very late to the party.
Just a small aside; not even two weeks after rejoining I've had three lucids... Knew being involved here would do the trick! I had several small dreams last night, but they were dull so I'll cut to the chase. I am sitting on a red velvet couch in an incredibly elegant ballroom. Red velvet curtains twenty feet high have been drawn across all the windows, and beautifully polished wood pillars stretch upwards fifty feet to the cathedral ceiling. A glimmering chandelier hangs above the ballroom floor, casting a golden hue across the room. I know I am waiting for someone, but whom I'm not sure. Suddenly, a beautiful Latino woman tackles me off of the couch. Before I know whats happening, she begins hurling fireballs at me. I remember that I'm spider man, and I begin slinging around the room, even though my webs are invisible. Her flames are flying everywhere, but the room is impervious to fire or magic, as nothing catches. I sling some webs at her but they seem to have no affect. Finally, I hide behind one of the luxurious curtains and get a good look at her - gorgeous, and in a white dress with a large cleavage swoop and quite long train. The beauty of both the place and the woman jolts me into lucidity. As soon as I become lucid she lowers her hands, and turns to look me in the eye, smiling. Most dream DC's I encounter go still and brain dead when I become lucid, but not this one. I walk slowly out from the curtain and I am suddenly in a tuxedo, and I have the overwhelming feeling that this is my ballroom. "You're finally awake!" she says with a smile, which I must admit creeped me out. Usually in my lucids whatever plot was occurring vanishes, but not so here. "Dance with me" she requests, as the two of us embrace in fine ballroom posture. We begin sweeping around the ballroom in the most elegant waltz of all time. My heart is in my throat as I haven't had a lucid this clear in months. After a few moments of our sweeping dance, I try to recall the task of the month, and recall the basic one about asking New Years resolutions. The effort of remembering causes me to dance clumsily and nearly lose lucidity. I stop dancing to look at my hands and surrounding to anchor myself, and notice that the red paint of the walls has become a Christmas wallpaper of green gold and red. I look at her and her beauty makes me nervous to speak to her, even though I know its all a dream. I ask her her New Years resolution. Suddenly, she sweeps me up and begins to lead like I was a few moments before. She is leading so hard that she seems to just pick me up and hover me across the floor in an aggressive dance. She spins me and dips me like a lady and I take this to mean her resolution was to take control, whether it be dancing or something deeper. I find it funny that I am being held in a dip, and I allow myself to lose lucidity and wake up grinning. WHAT A COOL DREAM!
My first dream was boring. I dreamed I was at work and hadn't taken my lunch at the time I was supposed to (I was an hour late going to lunch because I got caught up working on something) and my manager was mad at me. My second dream was more interesting: I dreamed I was at Disneyland. I was staying in a hotel building that was white and faux "plantation style". I was on the 2nd floor. The layout was weird because the kitchen was split in half, and part of it was outside on part of the balcony. Anyway, it was also a first person shooter. I was trying to get out of the hotel room and sneak past Snake and Patrick Stewart, who were armed with laser rifles. I accomplished this by crouching, going out onto the balcony, leaping off, and hiding in a large stand of trees. Unfortunately, a patrol of enemies led by a woman in a strapless top (it was red and looked like part of a ball gown) and camo pants killed me because I used my own laser rifle (which, by the way, I thought was pretty awesome) to shoot the wrong mook. It also drew the attention of Snake and Patrick Stewart. Game over. I restarted, but forgot to crouch when leaping off the balcony, and got shot. I restarted again. This time, I crouched as I lept off the balcony, made it, hid in the trees, shot the woman in the camo pants, and completed the level by making it to an opera house/ballroom. It was a large, French-looking manor-like building with a moat and fountains. Anyway, now it turned into sort of a minigame. I had to collect cartoon pigs and store them in the ballroom. I also had to collect food from various plants around the hotel and either store them in the fridge or use them to fill my Hunger bar. I felt semi-lucid toward the end, but my alarm went off. Review Dream clues: Pretty much everything. If I had to pick one thing, though, I'd say the ability to "replay" reality was a pretty big one (and a potential bridge to lucidity).
I've lost a lot of sleep the past few days. 2 hours Thursday night so no dreams. This is from Friday night when I got 5. I was at ballroom dance classes on the indoor balcony of the hotel I was staying at IRL. This setting was not a perfect rendition of the real thing but it was definitely recognizable. This balcony is on the second floor elevator landing and overlooks the lobby. It's spacious and there are small tables all around. I salsa dance with Kara rather awkwardly. This is strange because I'm a decent dancer... Theres this really good dancer who I think is leading the class. He's foreign but I can't think of his nationality. something European. He's partnered with...Himself?? One of him has a bass voice and one of him has a tenor voice. They sing Bohemian Rhapsody together perfectly in front of like this green screen montage of road scenes. Very strange. I woke up with the song stuck in my head.
Starts out with me having a nice dinner in a ball room with a bunch of people. I think people may have been dancing, but I do not recall exactly if they were. Everyone was dress very nicely, in tuxes and in dresses. Suddenly someone asks if I want to go on a roller coaster that is in the same building, and I agree to it. I follow them to a place where there are a bunch of roller coaster carts sitting and waiting for their passengers to board. Each of the roller coaster carts looked different, and also had different colors. I ask them what the ride is like, and the people with me replied that it was a fun-house haunted roller coaster type of deal that you will see at theme parks and what not. One of the people with us also explained that the yellow cart that is second in line has the scariest ride. Then, right after that one of the people with us pushes me into the yellow cart that is second in line. I asked him what the hell he did it for, but I don't recall exactly what he replied. It was something about how I shouldn't worry, and proceeded to make fun of me. The ride then started, and I noticed how the roller coaster was in what looked like an abandoned building with nothing in it. the ride took us through different rooms that sometimes had creepy people standing and watching us go by. There was probably more to it, however, I do not remember. I remember when the ride ended, it brought all of us back in front of an entrance to the ball room we were at earlier. On either side of the entrance were doors, that were very slim. We decide to open both doors. When I opened the door there were three people standing in a formation facing us. The room was dark, but the light from the room we were in gave it enough light to make out the three figures. They were extremely pale, wearing suits, and I could not make out any facial structures that they had other than their eyes. "Well, that is pretty creepy!" I remember telling the group of people I was with. We were about to open the next one when the dream basically fell apart and I woke up.
