1. 15 - 17.06.23 The dream interpreter and an accident

by , 06-17-2023 at 10:22 PM (4th DJ-Attempt)
Fragment finishing the week at work and a couple of longer fragments for the first day off. Still one to come, I’m gonna use this scenario to try sort of extended DEILD

16.06.23

Stress of work once more sneaking around. This time only fragment of the night was a situation that happened some days ago at work with one of my coworkers. In the dream it happened the other way around as it really did

…/I see E. searching for one item, doing his best to find it between the other items that cover it/…

17.06.23

…/I see two kids on the upper platform of a toboggan of grass. One of them stands on the taller kid’s shoulders who jumps high in the air to do a somersault 360 forwards. To land standing. The smaller kid lands on his back touching the feet of the other who stands. The feeling of the moment is not good. It sounds terrible bad when they both land at the same time. One standing the other laying. The smaller changed his position from the older kid’s shoulders to the feet during the somersault. It went wrong and now the kid doesn’t react laying unconscious on the floor. There’s a lot of stress around, it breaks a lot of events that were happening at the time. One of those events is related to a dream interpreter who went somewhere and will come back today at any time. I’m worrying about him, because when he’s going to come back, the place will be empty because of the accident/…

…/To the right side of the toboggan there is a small hangar. I’m waiting for a tire to be changed there. I see the old tire resting on one side of the car. It seems that S. stands somewhere around/…

…/In the same dream, I see my brothers approaching, Rn got long hair and it seems that P. is coming together with him. Rl comes from a lower platform, it’s a recurrent scenario, like a park fused with a backyard/…

I had some impressions from past dreams, related to the place. I’ll use that to focus when WBTB later

2. 10/23/2014 - "Inception-Style"

So, I won't be able to smoke anything, for a little while, so my recall is already kicking back in (which will probably mean taking much more time to write out my entries, but I'll do what I can). I also need to find a thread I read a few days back, about a DV member proposing a WBTB method where you do some logic puzzles, while awake, to keep the logic center in your brain slightly active, when going back to bed.

I intend to thank him, because I've tried it twice, in the past 3 nights, and have gotten lucid on both nights! I just can't seem to find the thread, but I will keep looking. Anyway, I've had some pretty crazy ones, in the past couple of days!)

"Inception-Style"

Spoiler for Short Version!:

There was a girl with me. I believe it might have been my ex, MJ, but I'm not sure. We were in an apartment or small house, with a few other people and a couple of kids. She and I were alone, though, tucked away in some room and about to have a some discrete sex, but she had to get up and take care of something, before getting started. When she walked out of the room, another girl came in and immediately began seducing me. My previous companion and I weren't really a couple, in this dream, so I began fooling around with this other girl, but we never ended up going too far because neither of us had protection. After a little more anti-climactic foreplay, we went out into the living room again, and hung out with everyone who remained in the house.

After a few minutes, the girl that I had most-recently been with said that she wanted to try something and disappeared into the bedroom again, emerging with some sort of device in tow. She explained that it was some Inception-like device, and would allow us to share a dream. Each hose that came out from the device was topped with four-pronged syringes, which she stuck into our arms. I was a little apprehensive, but it ended up not hurting very much. Before long, we were all passing out, and the scenery transitioned.

We were now in a wooded area and surrounded by beautiful, autumn colors. Specks of red and orange leaves covered the grass, fallen from the thin, scattered trees, and we took a while just soaking in the scenery. There were a few locals running around, but they didn't pay us much mind. Everything was just beautiful, though. The environment almost seemed ancient, or at least Feudal-Japan-esque.

My 'crew' and I were apparently searching for something (though I have no idea what), and I remembered that we had to go into the dreamworld, to get it. Looking around, I realized that I had been thinking I was still in the waking world, but also that we had all just taken the dream serum and went to sleep. So, I wondered, did that mean I was already in the dream world? But, then, I thought about the dream serum itself - how absurd that was. I figured that that meant all of this might have been a dream. Everything was just so vivid, though. I couldn't be sure that I was dreaming, as I felt completely grounded in reality. I tried toying with the gravity a bit, and leaned backward as if I was going to 'force' myself to not topple over. It didn't work. I lost my balance, stumbled a bit and fell on my ass. Figures. Slightly embarrassed at this, I got up and continued to walk with my group, about to give up on the idea that I might be dreaming.

Giving it one, last try, I took a slight hop into the air, using every bit of my concentration to 'pull up', before coming back down. My feet fixed themselves above the ground, hovering just about a foot over the leafy terrain. I was flying! "Ah...there it is..." I said, smiling and fully-lucid. For the next minute or so, I did some superhuman acrobatics and parkour in this lovely, wooded area - performing high, twisting somersaults and short-range flying/floating up into the treetops.

I began to notice there was a commotion going on, with the locals. A group of men came running passed, saying that they were under attack by some powerful, unknown entity. I don't remember much of the frenzied briefing they gave, but I told them not to worry, seeing as how this was my dream and I was now in control. To prove it (more to myself, than to them), I raised one foot and then stomped it down on the ground, yelling "RRRRAAAAAAHHHHH!!!" and expelling a massive burst of energy out, in all directions, DBZ style. The men recoiled as the wind blew them backward, nearly off their feet. It was then that I could see that one of the men actually had two faces - his normal face, and one that was kinda 'stuck' to the left side of his head. It was slightly gruesome, and very surreal.

Content that I had a good level of control, I prepared to do battle with whomever it was that was soon to be approaching our position. Figuring I could use a little DC help, I asked if any of the strange men had any 'dream control' powers of their own. I then realized how pointless my question was, and just went off to find my unknown opponent figuring that any DC, who wanted to help, would tag along.

Unfortunately, I don't remember anything about the battle...

We were soon coming back to the previous area, and I was talking to the DCs about lucid dreaming, just to see their reactions. I tried to show off a little, by doing the 'falling back' thing, again. It still didn't work, and I fell....again. They laughed and me, and I have to be honest when I say it upset me a bit, even though I was still lucid. I tried a few other tricks, but my 'powers' seemed like they were starting to leave me. 'MJ' finally showed back up, around this time, and said that we had to get back to where we originally started, as the dream was about to end. She led the way and we began walking back to the starting point of the dream (The rest of the crew had disappeared, by now, and it was just 'MJ' and I.) I noticed that she was moving faster and faster, among the trees while she led, and I was finding it hard to keep up. I attempted to use some lucid super-speed, to catch up to her, but everything just felt so realistic. I couldn't control the dream anymore. No matter how hard I tried to 'rush' ahead, I could only run at normal speed.

Finally, I realized that I didn't really need to 'go' anywhere. I could just exit the dream from wherever I wanted. Figuring that the dream may have been going so long that it might be tough for me to remember much of it, I woke myself up.

Fragment One
Untitled

A bunch of friends and I were hanging out in my old garage. Eventually, we got into doing acrobatics, and I came to find out that I was able to do some pretty insane moves. It seemed as if I were defying gravity as I easily landed aerials, b-twists and all kinds of other flips and spins. I began to wonder about how I suddenly had these skills but was not able to become lucid.

Fragment Two
"Decisions, Decisions..."

I was in a classroom or workshop (or something), and my roommate was there. There was a lot of commotion going on, and I remember my roommate vaulting over a desk. It turns out that we were about to be invaded and attacked by some sort of evil horde, though I can't remember who (or what) they were. My anxiety turned to excitement, as I realized I was dreaming. My mind raced to try and remember what it was I wanted to do, but I was being distracted by the impending chaos around me. I remembered the experiment, and what I needed to do...but I also wanted to fight. The idea of a coming invasion made me absolutely giddy in my lucidity. Deciding that (just maybe) there was a chance that I could get back to my primary objective, after having a little fun, first, I decided to hold off on my experiment and focus on the inevitable battle.

Unfortunately, that's all I can remember. What a waste!

Fragments (LUCID)

[Okay, I know this was a lucid dream, but I didn't have time to record it at the time, regrettably. Here's what I can remember.]

A topless girl is in bedroom.

Later, I reset to a checkpoint in a bedroom. I unplug the ethernet cable. Outside there is a TV. Earlier I was tasting Goldfish and some other food. I go out to a glowing hall. An old man catches my attention: I wonder if he's my dream guide. I approach him and open my mouth, but he cuts me off.

"Shut up, just shut up and follow that guy," he says, pointing. "We'll meet you here in a few hours. Don't look for us; we'll find you. Shut up and follow him."

So I do. I catch up to the other guy. He comments that I was the fastest person to catch up so far. I arrive in a common area with people wearing Hogwarts uniforms. They've been training their lucid skills inspired by the Harry Potter universe. Right now they're trying to jump up and touch the high, vaulted ceiling of the room. Someone says something about having enough brains. They don't think I can do it because I've only just started training. But I try, and after a few warm-up jumps, I manage it. Somehow a backwards roll is involved.

Some Salsa Dancing (5:53)

I'm messing with the wiring in my car so I can do a power cycle on it and fix something. Then I realize I've been doing a lot of extra work. [My dream journal says that around now I "park and check car" and "Mom strikes," but I don't know what this means.] Later, I'm with my sister and we're trying some salsa dancing. We manage some really cool flips and barrel rolls. I feel like I'm inventing an all-new kind of dance.

Basement

I find myself in a crawlspace with periodic rectangular holes in the floor, leading to staircases that descend into darkness. I'm trying to find a lighted staircase so that I can escape from here. Eventually I find one, but there are other problems. I become lucid somehow, and risk looking into the darkness. The dream fades palpably, and in desperation I try to turn it into a sex dream. I suppose it works, after a fashion (no visuals), but I wake up soon afterwards.

Takeover

A villainous man takes the whole building hostage. Most of us are penned up alone in small rooms, separated from each other, but we can see what's going on in the building by looking at the various TV screens on the walls. Against orders, a naked woman in one room talks to the man. Smirking, he pushes a button that blows up the room she was in. I'm scared that there will be gore all over the room when the smoke clears, but fortunately, there is not. Then there are some explosions along the outside walls of the compound, and I know that the outside resistance movement is trying to break in and depose the villain. I wish they wouldn't try--they have no realistic chance of winning. But I leave the room to try and help them somehow.

I meet up with someone on my team and we run into a problem. There are no nearby enemies, so we try to solve it in a few different ways. After the last attempt, I say, "It's no use, we tried this last year." (This enemy takeover is a yearly occurrence, one we are cursed with until we find a way to escape it.) Suddenly, a door opens above us and an enemy comes out. When we get a clear look at his face, we see that it's "The Law" (from Rocket Jump's VGHS). He smiles nastily.

Island

[My notes say something about a grocery store at the beginning of this dream, but I don't remember what.]

The island is covered in stone buildings, like an old university. I decide to visit the island, so I start walking along the hiking trail to get there. Soon I'm walking over dry, dead grass, and soon the path becomes so steep that I have to crawl upwards. My head faces the grass and I can barely see anything else. I wish I had thought to wear kleats; it would have made this journey much safer.

Later, we are all summoned to the island for a meeting. I go there with a friend. Instead of going straight to the meeting, we wander down a side path, into a part of the island I've never seen before. My friend wants to keep going this way, but I need to go back to the mainland for something. I rise into the air, soon realizing that being in flight means I'm dreaming. I fly out past the island and down to the water. The dream starts fading and to my frustration I'm unable to stop myself from waking up. IRL, some of my family are having a noisy conversation right outside my bedroom door, and I suspect that's why I woke up so inexorably.

Lunchbox

I, a high school senior, am walking to lunch. I pull out my lunchbox, which my mom packed for me this morning. Then I remember that I'm on an unlimited meal plan (in college), so there's no need for Mom to be sending food with me anymore. I tell this to her, but a couple of days later, she's still packing my lunchbox for me.

Ask Her (LUCID)

The party is happening at an indoor swimming pool. The building is three stories tall, and most people are hanging out on the balconies of the upper two stories, overlooking the pool. There are all sorts of staircases to climb and all kinds of ropes and structural supports hanging around the ceiling, so I'm having a blast swinging around the room and over the pool doing flips and leaps.

While I'm taking a break from this, walking down one of the upper balconies, a portly, bearded man falls in next to me.

"You were doing pretty well out there with all those flips," he says.

"Yeah, because--" Suddenly I remember that such acrobatics are a dead giveaway that I'm dreaming. I give the man a sideways look. I bet you anything he asked me that question just to make me realize that. "Because gravity doesn't work the same here, because I'm dreaming. I bet the other dream characters are pretty mad at you right now." (Everyone knows that dream characters are in general opposed to the dreamer's becoming lucid.) I'm proud of myself for remembering the phrase "dream characters."

The man chuckles. "Yes, I suppose they are."

We walk a few steps while I ruminate on the favor he's done me. "You know, I come to this pool almost every night," I say. "But I've never realized before that it's a dream. So thank you."

We go our separate ways. I do some more acrobatics. [I lose most of my lucidity almost right away, probably because I was determined just to go with the flow so the dream didn't fade away.] At one point I dive towards the water, only to pull out of it at the last moment using a breast stroke. I'd forgotten how useful the breast stroke is for flying.

Later, I'm talking to a group of friends on a balcony. They seem to think I have a crush on one of the girls here, someone named "Anna." I don't even know what she looks like, but they're all determined that I should talk to her. "You should ask her," they say. "Just ask her!" I leave for a little while. When I come back, I see a kinda cute girl standing a few feet away from my friends, though a lot of people have left the balcony since last I was here.

"Is that Anna?" I ask.

"What?" says the girl I'm talking to, glancing in the direction I'm indicating. "No, that's not her. Anna's younger than that."

Younger? So she's in high school? Why would they think I have a crush on a high school girl? Weird. Well, at least I proved that I actually don't know who she is. It occurs to me, though, that this might just be how I start relationships: I have to wait for the girl's friends to insist that I ask her out. That's a depressing thought.

I walk back to a staircase, where another group of friends invites me to play a game. A girl produces several two-inch lengths of floss, which are flavored with a randomly-generated flavor. We each have to take one and try to describe what it tastes like. I am very impressed that she's somehow discovered how to encode a randomly-generated flavor in a little piece of string. "You all keep complimenting me on my acrobatics, but this"--I say, holding out my piece of floss--"is really much more impressive." Then we all put the floss in our mouths and spend a few minutes sucking. I'm having a bit of trouble with mine, because seemingly the flavor's not very strong. The people to my right start writing down their impressions, and finally, they ask me what I think.

"You know, I think mine is just . . . lemon." I was certainly not expecting to get such an ordinary flavor, which is probably why I had such a hard time identifying it.

"Oh, so you mean it was boring," my friends say, commiserating.

I wait a bit for the next round to start, but it looks like that will take a while. I make my apologies to the girl hosting the game and depart. I explore some back staircases, which are deserted except for me. It takes some effort to climb all the way to the top, so I'm pleasantly surprised to find that the last half-staircase (from the landing between the second and third floors to the third floor) is only two steps long.

I walk out into the hall. I hear some noises from a bathroom, and a janitor comes out with cleaning supplies. Awkward.

[I have no recollection of having visited this pool before. But I suppose my dream-self would know better than I about something like that.]

8. The Flying Mall Rat

by , 12-16-2012 at 03:27 PM
I enjoyed getting back to a dream that was just pure play. I was a bit of a mall rat as a kid, so perhaps that's where the setting came from. Only regret: not looking for the video arcade!

Color legend: Non-dream Dream Lucid

Lucid #43: The Flying Mall Rat

I'm in a mall walking through a jewelry store out into the main hallway. I have to maneuver around a family coming toward me. For some reason I employ a fancy (and physically impossible) spin-move to get around them, twirling all the way around and sliding several feet across the floor. It suddenly occurs to me that I need to remember whether or not I'm dreaming and in this case it feels very obvious that I am.

I walk out into the main hallway and see that the mall is three stories high. There's mall music coming over the PA system. It sounds like it's three or four girls harmonizing, and they're singing about breaking up with some schmo. They're actually quite talented, with sort of a sound like a modern-day Andrews Sisters. The lyrics and the tune itself are utterly generic, but since it's my dream, I can be honest with myself and admit that I find it catchy.

I'm feeling excited and playful so I leap up onto the railing of a short stairway and grind down (in other words, ride down the rail on my shoes.) I want to see what things look like from higher up, so I hop up to the second floor, grab onto the railing and swing myself over. I then perch my feet on the railing and leap upward across the gap to the third floor's railing.

At this point, I remember the Christmas carol Task of the Month. For some inexplicable reason, I decide that "Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer" is a Christmas carol and try to see whether I can remember it. In spite of it being several years since I heard it, the first verse comes back to me without any trouble, and I go swinging and leaping around the mall singing it, vaguely worried that I'm singing in waking life.
From what I read in the TotM thread, this is a very common worry.

I spend a few more minutes having fun soaring around the mall. As I reach the end of the main hallway, though, I notice the entrance to a movie theater. I land on the ground floor and step inside the theater, curious what's playing. The theater is packed and I'm surprised by how many people I recognize from my own life. I walk through the crowd for quite a while, greeting old friends and acquaintances as I pass by them. The lights in the theater aren't dark yet, but everyone returns my greetings with whispers, as if they don't want to talk over the movie.

I happen on one friend, S, who appears to be the size of a child in her seat. For some reason I feel like I need to make her look "right" and tell her "Oh, you're much taller than that." She starts stretching out until her height seems correct, but now her head has gotten distressingly skinny. I start getting flustered and fixated and it's not long before
I wake up.

More Acrobatics (4:10) (LUCID)

I'm jumping around a room and doing backflips. At some point, I realize that I'm dreaming. I try to duplicate some moves I've done previously. There is a man in the room who comments, "I've always thought that anything you like doing is worth doing three times." I think this is very wise.

Log Cabin Tent (10:46)

I'm setting up our family's tent at the campsite before the rest of them arrive. Its walls are made of logs, and they unroll in sheets. I'm trying to set up a pole when somehow I drop it. It falls precipitously into the neighboring campsite, where another family is setting up. They express commiseration and come over to try to help me, but I show them that even though it looks like a log cabin, it's not really any harder to assemble than a tent, so I can manage on my own. Suddenly the family's dog runs in the front door, barking. It jumps up to put its paws on the front wall, and the wall falls over. Okay, I'm willing to admit to the family that /that/ was annoying. They apologize and leave in order to restrain their dog.

Later, I'm getting ready for bed, when I realize that all of the windows are open and everyone in the nearby campsites can see me undressing. There are at least five people visible, walking around. So I stop what I'm doing and go around zipping up windows. Suddenly I hear another zipper, and I see a shadow on the roof that indicates someone is walking by, zipping up the ceiling window as they go. It feels like an uncomfortable violation of my privacy. It also makes me feel bad, because that person was evidently annoyed by my undressing--enough so to come over to close the windows zirself.

At some point my family shows up, and we start decorating the house. Right now, it's the kids' job to chop up garlic into bead-sized pieces and put them in small dishes in the guest rooms. The garlic is lilac-colored. It seems like a rather silly chore, but my parents insist that the guests will appreciate it. When I'm almost done, I notice that the ziploc bag containing the garlic is itself made of garlic. Not wanting to waste any, I cut off a piece of the bag with approximately the same mass as the other pieces we've been cutting. I put it in the bowl, but somehow I can't bring myself to leave it there. It looks so stupid sitting next to the uniformly shaped other pieces.

Jedi Tricks (6:00) (LUCID)

I'm sitting in a room with my mentor and my fellow apprentice when a messenger comes running through the door. Someone is gravely injured, and they need our help in order to save her. Immediately, our mentor gets up to leave, and he beckons us to follow.

A stretch of floor in the hallway is unsafe--it collapses underneath you if you're not careful. Our mentor runs up to it and jumps across. It's a very long stretch of floor, so he has to use the force to propel himself horizontally. It's an impressive trick, and he calls it the "Seven-Meter Jump." I'm not sure I'm skilled enough yet to pull it off, but I jump anyway. It looks like I'm not quite going to make it, so I add an extra burst of horizontal motion at the end. Then I turn around to watch my fellow apprentice cross. He jumps up, grabs some handles on the ceiling, and swings across that way. Clever.

We reach the room with the patient. There are dozens of people already there--participants and helpers in the energy sharing ritual which our mentor will moderate. He starts giving orders, and everyone gets into position. There's even a big, shaggy dog involved. Then the ritual starts, and it's a bizarre sensation. It feels like it's over in moments. Afterwards, the other participants start enthusiastically talking about it and checking the time. We're all wondering how long it actually took. I overhear that it's a quarter after the hour now, but we came in there at around ten till. Wow, that ritual really messes with time perception.

I go back down the hallway with my fellow apprentice. We enter a stairwell with a railing, and I take this opportunity to practice some acrobatics--doing flips over the bar and bouncing off of the walls; that kind of thing. My friend does some, too. Then I realize that I must be dreaming--unrealistic acrobatics seem to be a theme, recently.

Without pausing to plan, I just start doing stuff. Nothing in particular, just whatever comes to mind--always making sure to observe what's going on and try to work creatively within the existing dream framework. For instance, I look at my hands to find I'm holding some Oreos. I squeeze my hands into fists and open them again to reveal handfuls of nuts. I decide I want to float around, so I start hopping up and down on the floor of my bedroom. Gravity's not behaving as leniently as I'd like, but I just keep trying. Somehow, some cubes get stuck to my feet, and bouncing on top of other loose cubes joins them all into two big cubes. Then gravity is a lot less strong, and I can float into the air at will. I'm approaching the ceiling, and I decide to try to go straight through it. After a moment of darkness, it works! I'm worried about waking my parents, though. A couple of times [I think], I return to the stairwell to do more acrobatics. They're really quite fun. At some point, I wake up.

"I think you like me" (7:05)

I meet a group of people near my house. We discuss something. I'm particularly impressed by a certain old man, so when the group splits to go its separate ways, I decide to follow him. A little way down the road, he turns around with a smile to say, "I think you like me." It must have been pretty obvious that he was my favorite person there. Oh well.

Later on, I'm taking a train with him and with one other person closer to my age. There are a few women sitting at a table in the station where we get off, and one of them promises to kiss us if we make everything go smoothly. It's an unusual promise, but I like it.

We're off the train and it's about to pull away from the station when I remember that I forgot a deck of cards on board. There's no time to explain, so I dash back in, grab it, and run back to a door. The train's already moving at a good clip, so I'll have to dive and roll. There are too many railings and banisters in the station, and outside the station, there's still a concrete sidewalk. And the train's still accelerating, so this will get more dangerous the longer I wait. But suddenly the sidewalk gives way to grass. I can't hope for better, so I dive. Right about when I hit the ground, my alarm goes off.

Dream Fragment
(This one was kinda all over the place.) I remember some choppy scenario about being in a haunted area of the woods, and exploring tombs while dodging spiritual entitites. Later, the group that I was with had all gone to Disney, and the park was upgraded with all kinds of high-tech rides, that seemed like they should exist in our present time (though I can't remember what all they were). While waiting in some of the lines, I remember that I was able to do these incredibly agile flips and twists over the railings. I got caught up playing around with this acrobatics, and wondering how this was possible, but not able to reach lucidity.

I also recall having a conversation with an old, washed up Veteran, who was pretty jaded and just wasting himself away into nothing, with drugs and alcohol. I'd been talking something with him about how he needs to turn his life around, and stop driving himself into an early grave by just not giving a fuck about anything. (I have an idea as to who this character might have represented, but it's confidential...)

Dream Fragment
I was in the middle of a sea of peope, standing outside of a very large, quite beautifully-decorated building. The building seemed to have an old, European archeticature, but I got the disctinct feeling that I was in a modern, U.S. city like New York. There was a police blockade that was holding everyone back, and the cops were practically interrogating everyone, before letting them roam about the area. It seems that there was a gigantic gash that had been dug into the middle street. The concrete was split, and the enormous crevice had to be about 100 ft long, and a couple dozen meters wide. The cops had surmised that the crevice was made by someone who had some kind of supernatural power, and they were combing through the crowds, trying to find the person that was responsible for it.

I don't know if they ever found them, though.
13. Acrobatic butt-painting (the butts are doing the painting)

by , 08-09-2011 at 04:44 PM (Exploring the Unconscious - Bob's Dream Journal)
Inspired by 'America's Got Talent', one of my first dreams was about some wily buddies of mine doing an acrobatics stunt show. We were all in a matted red-floored arena. We were doing acrobatic butt-painting: not that we were painting butts, instead, we were painting WITH our butts.

It went like this: buddy number one would dip his butt in paint, and then do this super diving board stunt that would launch him hundreds of feet into the air. On the way down, he'd smack his painted butt onto a canvas and make a big ol' paint smear. Everybody would start cheering. All things considered, it was very impressive and clearly required some highly exacted and specialized skill. Go him.

Next thing I know, I'm in the mountains with my Dad, and we're hunting these cool birds that look like gray pigeon-parrots. I'm shooting a shotgun with dense rounds of bird shot. The gun is hard for me to handle at times, and at one point I get afraid of its weight and power in my hands and discharge it into the gray mist of the forest. Soon after, my Dad and I see one of the pigeon-parrots fly towards us with what seems to be a broken wing. We go to rescue it.

While standing next to the pigeon-parrots, the scene morphs, and Father and I are on a truck in a small mountain road. Some guys in the car next to us ask about the way to Camp Chawanakee, an old Boy Scout camp I used to go to every Summer.
14. Minecraft with Crossbows and Super Powers

by , 03-03-2011 at 08:22 PM (Nocturn Core (Abridged))
I logged onto a Minecraft server and built a strange bridge. It went in loops and snaked around instead of following the most efficient path. I seemed to be limited to a fairly small area, but the buildings reached much higher into the sky than normally possible. After completing my bridge, I returned to the ground to prepare a new weapon. I wondered if I could make a crossbow… I tried a bunch of combinations of items with no luck. When I arranged five normal bows in the rough shape of a crossbow, I was able to make one. I sensed that, like in Ragnarok, I could refine the weapon if I found the necessary ore. I went looking for phracon to use on it. MadMonkey from Dreamviews walked up to me, and I thought he was going to kill me for my items, so I shot him three times and killed him. He didn’t lose anything, so he didn’t seem to mind. I wandered around a bit and got into a fight with another player. He had diamond armor, but I was still able to kill him. The problem came when his friends teamed up against me… They started using super powers – shooting beams of blue light at me, moving at twice normal speed, and absorbing my health, for example. I tried to activate my own super powers, but it seemed I didn’t have any yet. Lame! I decided I would log off before they killed me rather than lose all of my belongings. Unfortunately, I died just before I disconnected. I saw my stuff spill onto the ground before the client closed.

The dream jumped. I logged back onto the server in a safe area at the top of a gigantic skyscraper. I started jumping to increase my acrobatics skill (as though this was an Elder Scrolls game). I thought that if I leveled up my skills, I would be able to use super powers like the others. One of the guys I fought earlier mentioned my name in the chat.

“Nice fight!” I said to him. The people who killed me seemed friendly. The only one I didn’t get along with was the guy who attacked me in the first place.
15. Crazy amount of dream fragments

by , 07-04-2010 at 08:23 PM
This night I slept very light, awaking several times. That caused me to remember fragments from many dreams. A fun fact is that I felt strangely well rested despite that light sleep.

1st dream:

I was in some house in a forest at night with a friend, can't remember who. It was my house. Suddenly a fire started and quickly spread through the house. We left and entered the forest. After a while we started to get chased by Uffe (my dads friend that I haven't seen many times in my life. Strange appearance) and some random villain. They were going to beat us to death so we ran back to the house.

The house was now completely in flames. It was like a wall of fire at the entrance. I thought "If they are going to beat us to death I might as well jump into the flames since it would be a less painful way to die!" and so I took a step into the entrance and instantly died. I became a glowing skeleton. It was a quite strange sensation. My friend followed. When the bad guys arrived and stared into the burning doorway I though "Now when I am dead I don't need to fear them. This is also quite cool, so they might appreciate it as well!" and then I pulled them into the fire. xD They also turned into glowing skeletons. I don't have any clear thoughts on what happened after this.

2nd dream:

I was at my parents place in the kitchen. Dad was there working on getting some LP player device to work. Apparently it was old and didn't work as it should. After a while we tried using it to record a radio channel on a VCR tape. The channel was foreign from australind (lol xP) so there was a lot of noise and flickering on the TV.

3rd dream:

Some fragments about doing slomo-acrobatics. Don't really remember it. But I had it written down when I woke up in the morning.

4th dream:

It was morning and I was sleeping in the top bed of a bunkbed and I felt really tired. I wanted to sleep more (might be related to the fact that I woke up several times irl with that feeling). Suddenly a whole bunch of people entered the room. Among them my friends and brothers. I got very annoyed because they were so noisy. I remember trying to fall back asleep while they poked me and asked me stuff. I got so annoyed that I hit my brother several times in the face with a plastic box (It was really weird because I never get that annoyed irl :S) xD. He didn't seem to care though. I threw the box in my other brothers face. I felt bad at the same time for being so lazy and annoyed.

5th dream:

I was biking with someone outside. It was spring time or something because it was extremely muddy everywhere. I had to bike in the mud and it was very slippery.

6th dream:

I was at some uni or something at a convent. I was there with Lucas but there was a lot of other geeky persons there. One event they had was to read the lord of the rings trilogy together and I thought "wow, that is soo geeky! They are also extremely fast at reading so they must have read it much before.". Me and Lucas were going to read the hobbit/lotr/some strange book. In some way it was like studying physics because we quickly found a problem in the book that we began to think about. Similar to a problem in a physics book. Suddenly Lucas said "Oh, it is easy! We just have to do a Ljung effect!". I instantly agreed. That was obvious! To do a Ljung effect was to apply some formula (fun that Ljung was a psychiatrist and not a physician lol). I started to look up the Ljung effect formula in a physics book and that is the last thing I remember.

7th

I was playing with my parents cat. As usual I scratched it on its stomach and it bites when you do that. This time it bite me harder than usual. It wouldn't let go of its grip and it bite harder and harder all the time. I knew now that the cat was evil. There was something wrong with its brain. It was not curable.

8th

I was in my room at my parents place and Peter and my brothers was there. They talked about something random. I went to my mineral shelf (that doesn't exist lol) and pulled out a meter long quartz crystal. I showed it to them and told them that the chemical compounds of quartz are sulphur and silicon (which it isn't, it is just SiO2). They didn't seem to care much and I don't remember anything more

9th

A faint fragment of some game of tag that I played outside with my brothers and some random very young kids.
