Side Notes
Routine: 9:00 - OJ, Milk, Apple Juice, Banana 10:00 - Vitamins 10:45 - Go to bed with binaural beats 2:30 - Wake up and start alarm Sometime in the morning - False awakening 8:00 - Get up Ok so this alarm thing is freaking amazing. It actually wakes me up each time and both nights so far has caused me to have a false awakening. I am really working on reality checks now whenever I wake up or do anything relating to morning / nightly routine. So far it seems all of my false awakenings I always go the the bathroom first thing so at least they are consistent. All it's gonna take now is doing a reality check in a false awakening and lucidity here we come!!!! Any tips on reality checks would be appreciated.
So last night was another late one. Didn't get to bed until about midnight. 11:45 Took vitamins with big glass of water 12:15 Went to bed listening to binaural beats 3:15 Woke up to alpha waves Started the alarm Actually woke up each time to the alarm but didn't have a lucid dream from it. I did have a false awakening however which I believe is what the alarm is supposed to do, so once I get in the habit of reality checks Im golden Got up at 7:30 Debrief on alarm so far... So I actually turned the volume up hight enough this time to get woken up form the alarm which was the good thing. The bad thing was that once it woke me up I was awake for about 6 - 10 minutes each time which is what you are NOT supposed to do. Howeverm it did cause me to have a false awakening which was mentioned. I believe that if I just get in the habit of doing reality checks whenever I wake up, this alarm is my key to victory.
Yes I know it's almost midnight but I just got back from a buisness trip you might say, and felt I might as well make an entry. despite staying at a hotel last nigh I actually had some really vivid dreams. (will make a separate post) The wierd part is I wasn't trying to focus on dreams at all. After finally checking in to my room, it was about 11:00. I was so tired I just crashed on the bed when I got there and didn't even change or get under the covers or anything. That is how I woke up too. I sure was tired. So basically, now I should be back for a while and can focus on dreaming again! Also, I think I am going to try out the alarm thing a few more nights, and if it doesn't work, go to the DV Academy and work on WILDs and DILD's. And why am I even making a entry right now??? IDK. I am really tired but if possible try and make at least one entry per day. So all the stuff I just wrote probably makes no sense and I think I will shut up now. *passes out in front of computer from tiredness (is that a word?)*
I'm not recording any dreams today because frankly I couldn't remember any last night. Here is how the night went though... Continued with B6, B12, and Magnesium Drank glass of H2O Finally got to bed about 12:30. I had so much unpacking and stuff to do and it took forever. Fell asleep with binaural beats Woke up at 3:00 and started the alarm thing I am trying out Woke up at 7:00 and got up Well, I don't really know how the vitamins are working. When I first tried them I had really vivid dreams that I could remember quite easily. Last night though I didn't. It might of been just because I was so tired though. Also, I can't really tell if the alarm is working or not. Last night I woke up once from the alarm I think but only that one time. It is supposed to work by waking you up at regular intervals and then waiting so your brain wakes you up but not your body. I am thinking it was because my earbuds fell out though because if I remember right, when I woke up this morning they weren't in. I really hope it works though because it would be nice to reliably have lucid dreams by just turning on an alarm. I'm going to keep working on it and hope it goes well. Unfortunately, I am going to be gone again so I can't work on lucid dreams tonight or possibly even tomorrow as well. I just really want to have a reliable way to have lucids every night. Its like potato chips or french fries... once you have one, YOU MUST HAVE MORE!
Well, I was supposed to stay until Saturday but the fire in the Springs caused us to have an evac out of the Academy so I got back early. Anyways, dreamwise it was pretty uneventful. First off, in my room there was a swamp cooler right next to the bunks and we weren't allowed to turn it off. Basically, we froze to death and it was really hard to fall asleep. Once you did it was really hard to stay asleep too because you would wake up and wonder what time it was (not allowed to have watches) and if your Flight Sergeant was about to blow the air horn in your room to wake you up. When I DID stay asleep long enough to have some dreams, I just kept having dreams *cough*nightmares*cough* about doing drill and being yelled at by my First Sergeant a bunch, my boots giving me massive blisters, my BDU's ripping and other things among the many horrors that could happen at a CAP encampment. So ya, those are really the only dreams I remember because we also had to get up at somewhere between 4:30 and 6:00 I'm guessing and go do PT so I didn't have time to focus on dreaming. To be honest though, I really didn't want to have any real good dreams or lucid ones while I was gone because I wouldn't have a place to record them and might forget some important details, and I wanted to focus on the encampment itself. But now that I can actually sleep in my own bed I am going to go work on dreaming again.
Well, I really had a pretty awful night last night in terms of dreams. I can recall a few fragments but nothing really worth writing down. I had to drive two hours for a CAP meeting, then drive back and I didn't get home until 11:00. So ya, it was pretty late before I got to sleep. Now I am going to go to the Air Force Academy for a CAP encampment. It should be pretty sweet but I won't have time to focus on lucid dreaming. Go to bed at 10:30 and get up at 4:30. Yuck! I wil be gone for a whole week. So ya, wish me luck!
I also drank a glass of OJ, glass of apple juice and a glass of milk. I hear thats some good stuff for dreaming and sleep. I did this at about 9:00. Well I continued on with the B6 and Magnesium as well as adding in B12 with the usual gian glass of water. Didn't seem to have any negative effects so I guess I will continue on with that. I did this at about 10:30. Went to sleep at 11:00 I had been reading in the forums and came across that thread that is something like "Want lucids now? I can help..." and read about the timer thing. I think it is a really good idea and could work for me because I am used to listening to stuff anyways. I recoreded the timer with Audacity only out to the last 20 min. interval. I didn't want it infinitely repeating so that is why I did that. I am in a good habit of waking up at night after my REM cycles so I figured I would get some sleep and then start the timer. This must of been a false awakening because I could of sworn that I got up, checked the time, and it was 2:34. I also make vioce recordings on my MP3 player when I get up of my dreams. So I did that and was like "Ok, I guess I will start the timer now." So I go back to sleep. Next thing I know, its morning. I am thinking "What the heck? I set the timer and nothing happened. Didn't wake me up once. I even set it to do nine beeps!" Then I decideed to check my MP3 player. I didn't have any new recordings and the playlist was still on the binaural beats even though I had set it to the alarm. Lesson learned... DO REALITY CHEKCS EVERY TIME YOU "WAKE UP". So I guess I pretty much just slept right through the whole night. Got up at 7:30

I had been reading about spuulements and vitamins for dreaming. I decided to try B6 (100 mg) and Magnesium (250 mg). I think they helped make the dream very vivid and thankfully I did not expierence the nightmares that people say comes with it. I will continue on with this for a while just to be safe. I fell asleep at about 11:15 and tried going into SP. Although many people say it can't be done all of my vivid dreams seem to happen very soon after I fall asleep so I try to enter a dream from sleep anyways. I had a bunch of vivid dreams my first REM cycle and woke up at about 2:30. I recorded them and attempted a WILD again. This time I felt even closer. My head started vibrating like it was doing a workout and the rest of my body seemed to melt into the bed. I really could only feel my head and was just starting to work on the breathing but I fell asleep. I think if I would of focused on re-entering the dream right then I could of made it. I was rudely awakened in the middle of my REM cycle by the wind slamming my door shut. It was about 4:45 and I couldn't recall any dreams I was just having besides a couple of fragments. Woke up at 7:30 and couldn't remember anything else.
