    1. So Close!!!

      Awareness - 9 / 10
      Control - 9 10

Although I did become lucid in this dream, I am not counting it because I kept slipping in and out of lucidity, and was never quite fully in it.

Anyways, the first thing I remember is that I was walking down main street. I had apparently just won some big grand prix thing and was headed to the celebration. I went up to the stage and accepted my prize. Then, instead of dunping Gatorade on me, everyone threw mustard and ketchup on me instead. It was kind of wierd but I didn't mind. Then I started walking back and then one of the people from my pit crew came over and the dream faded a little bit. I wondered what was going on and then he said that we were in a dream. I asked him how this was possible, and all he said was, 'go see for yourself'. I went over and asked someone else and they started talking with a baby'like voice I couldn't understand. I was now convinced we were in a dream and was lucid, but only for a couple of seconds, not enough to work on dream goals or anything.

Then the dream shifted and I was now out in the forest at night. I was with some random chick who I was apparently in love with or something and for some reason we were just sitting out here. I then became lucid for a couple of seconds (idk how though). Anyways, I then went on and tol her how since this was actually a dream, I was in love with someone else and basically dumped her. Then things got really wierd. She suddenly turned into a vampire and came to try and bite me. I said ("Back off bitch! *pardon the language* I'm in love with someone else and you are just going to have to deal with it!") Then she just randomly dissappeared and I was left there in the rain. I also lost the lucidity I had.

From this point the dream got pretty personal for me, so I don't really want to go into detail. I will just say that I was REALLY REALLY REALLY close to finally meeting someone from my dream goals. I saw them in the dream and became lucid again. I was so excited! They were about to walk by me and I was going to talk to them, but then I woke up. Aaahhhh so close!!!!!

By the way, sorry I always leave yo uon these cliffhanger endings whenever I come close to this dream goal, it's just really personal for me. But I guess we all have something. lol. That was a very good dream though, at the end anyways.

    2. Sixth Lucid Dream - A Beautiful Evening

      by , 07-21-2012 at 05:19 AM
      Awareness - 9 / 10
      Control 10 / 10

Well at first this dream started out for a good while as non lucid. I remember I was in this huge outdoors / camping store with a bunch of my friends. They had a hige jungle gym type thing set up that you could go climb on but it was about 6 stories tall!! Anyways, we all thought it looked fun and started climbing on it. As we neared the top, one of my friends fell off and as near as I could tell, plumeted to his death. (here comes a lawsuit) Anyways, this caused the dream to shift scenes very rapidly and then I was at this small lake.

So at this lake, it was evening and it was really beautiful outside. The sky was a deep shade of red with some orange mixed in and the lake was a blue / purple blend reflecting the sunset and the clouds. At first I was by myself. Then out of nowhere, some random guy came running up and told me plainly "Hey, did you forget? This is a dream! See ya!" Then he just kind of dissappeared and I was left there alone in amazement. Everything was so vivid and clear I thought surely I couldn't be dreaming. I then tried to remember how I got there. I had absolutely no clue and realized that in fact I WAS dreaming. (Funny thing that a DC is how I became lucid considering I am usually trying to get rid of them. Hehe)

It was one of those moments you never forget. Not only was I lucid, but I was so aware and in control of the situation as well. I instantly began running through my dream checklist in my head.
Step 1 - Stabalize the dream.
Well I did this by simply telling myself that this was MY dream and it wouldn't end or fade until I let it.
From there I went straight to step 3 - Meet this person I have been wanting to for so long now... Not only that, but it was a beautiful setting to meet them as well!
Well, I got about as far as thinking that and just was overwhelmed with excitement and woke up. Grrr....must... accomplish... dream... goals...

As soon as the excitement got to me I woke up and was just laying in bed looking at my dresser. I did a reality check just to be safe, but sure enough I was awake. Oh well, it was still an awesome dream. It's a good place to try and incubate for my next WILD, and finally accomplish my dream goals.

      Current lucid dream goals...
-Stabalize the dream each time I become lucid
-See how fast I can run and if it is consistent
-Meet someone special I have been wanting to for a long time now

      See ya!

    3. Fifth Lucid Dream - Caveman Meets Airplane

      by , 07-19-2012 at 07:30 PM
      Awareness - 9 / 10
      Control 4 / 10

Well, during my second sleep cycle of the night, I remember having this dream that I was back in like 15,000 BC or something and I was with a couple of other people. I then woke up and thought I would try my new technique again. I just focused on what the setting had been and remembering to notice when the scene had changed back to the dream setting.

Well, it worked again!! I remember seeing the same people I had been with. Then it got really wierd as we were actually in this skyscraper but we were still dressed like cavemen. Ths only increased the awareness of the dream and then this airplane flew by. The plane smashed through the glass and landed inside the building. One of the other guys went over and asked if he could try flying it. Now I was back in normal clothes and told him that he had no idea what he was doing. H disregarded mmy warning and took back off out the window, only to go plummeting down to the earth in a little poof of smoke. I just stood there, knowing it was a dream and laughed. I didn't really have much control over the dream however in terms of working on my dream goals and that is about all I remember.

      Current lucid dream goals...
-Stabalize the dream each time I become lucid
-See how fast I can run and if it is consistent
-Meet someone special I have been wanting to for a long time now

      See ya!

    4. Fourth Lucid Dream - Claustrophobic Situation = Win

Right after waking up from the 'Fine Dining in Italy' dream, I was not sure what to do. Although it probably would of been better to try and re-enter that dream, considering I would have an idea what to look for and things like that, I instead just focused on how I got here and my surroundings. When I was going back to sleep for some reason I stated thinking about what the dimensions of my room might be.
      15 X 20, 12 X 12, 16 X 16? Not sure why I was doing this but nevertheless I did.

Anyways, I remember opening my eyes expecting to see my 16 X 16 room or whatever it was, and instead the whole place seemed to of shrunk and my bed was gone. I was pretty much in this little box with an interior similar to how my room looked. I was thinking "Hmm... I must be dreaming!", and became lucid. Suddenly, I was back in my room, but still lucid. Just to make sure, I decided to jump off of my bed and see if the physics were 'floaty'. I jumped and sure enough, it felt really strange. Then the alarm went off waking me up.

      Current lucid dream goals...
-Stabalize the dream each time I become lucid
-See how fast I can run and if it is consistent
-Meet someone special I have been wanting to for a long time now

    5. Third Lucid Dream - Fine Dining in Italy

      by , 07-19-2012 at 06:57 PM
      Awareness - 8/10
      Control - 9 / 10

This dream occurred early in the morning after waking up to alpha waves twice, then setting the alarm at about 5:00 AM

Well the first thing I remember is that I was at this really nice restaraunt in Italy. I don't know exactly who, but I was with this huge group of people with a few I recognized. The waiter then seated us at a table. I took my hat off and sat down. Then the alarm went off, waking me up.

As soon as I got up I did a reality check. By this time I was in the habit of it and then just going back to sleep. Now I have not idea what was different about this night than all the previous nights but for some reason I just focused on realizing going back into the dream I was just in. I told myself that I would just remain concious of what setting I was in (my room or back in the restaraunt) and once I realized where I was, I would instantly know I was dreaming. I guess what made it work is that I never had a doubt in my mind it wouldn't work. Well, I went back to sleep and what do ya know? I was back in the restaraunt. The best part was that I remembered to be aware of the scenery shift and pretty much was lucid as soon as I was back in the dream.

As soon as I was back in the dream and became lucid, I remembered some of the stuff I had wanted to do during my next lucid dream. I got up to head outside but then the dream started to fade. I just told myself over and over that this was MY dream and it wasn't going to end until I let it. That seemed to work and I went outside. My brain kind of worked this into my surroundings and everyone else from the group I was with left as well, as if we were all on a tour or something. in the dream I pretty much disregarded these people and continued on my own, just trying to get away from everyone. For some reason, I like to explore on my own

Anyways, at first I thought "How am I going to get back to where my first two dreams were so I can continue on form there??" I decided that I was actually in a pretty nice place however and my goals could be accomplished here. I found a canal and began to follow it, thinking that maybe if I could just get away from all these people the next city along the canal would be empty because I would make it so. However, as I started to follow the canal, the tour guide guy asked me why I was leaving the group. I was thinking "Oh my God, seriously, can't these people just leave me alone?? Happens every dream!" I pretty much just blew him off and started walking away. Then he started talking again about the stuff on the tour and it distracted me for some reason. Almost instantly, I lost all control of the dream and it started fading. Right before I woke up I remember realizing this and trying to decide what to do but then it was all over, and I woke up.

Well, I have no idea what was different about what I did when I went to sleep compared with all the other times I did after the alarm went off, but my efforts wree finally rewarded this time with a lucid dream. The only thing I can think of is that it was much further into my sleep cycle than usual (5:00 rather than 2:00) because I started another binaural beat cycle the first awakening instead of going right to the alarm on accident. (to think my reliable way of lucid dreaming was discovered on accident...) Anyways, whatever was different I sure am glad it happened, because right after that dream, I went and had ANOTHER LUCID DREAM! *shouts out in victory*

      Current lucid dream goals...
-Stabalize the dream each time I become lucid
-See how fast I can run and if it is consistent
-Meet someone special I have been wanting to for a long time now

      See ya!

    6. Second Lucid Dream!

      by , 06-21-2012 at 03:26 PM
While this dream may of been just as good as my first one I can't remember it as well for some reason. Anyways, here is what happened. I remember I was going for my morning jog. As I went over this little hill I just kind of... became lucid... I have no idea how but I was just running and instantly knew I was dreaming out of the blue. The goals I had set for myself in the dream were to work on spinning for stabalizing the dream as well as to change locations quickly. Thats exactly what I did. I began spinning, for longer this time than my last dream, and just closed my eyes for a few seconds. I opened them while I was still spinning and the dream became very vivid. I then decided I would try to spin myself to a new place and continue on with my quest form the first dream. I began spinning and just focused on where I was going. It actually seemed to be pretty easy and the landscape started to change. Right before it had completely changed though I remembered that I wanted to see if I could run faster this time than my first dream. I stopped spinning and the dream went back to the original scene. I then started running. I remember conciously hoping in the dream that no one would appear like last time and interfere with my explorations. I didn't get very far before someone came along though. I remember thinking "Oh great, now what am I gonna do? I still don't know how to make people go away in my dreams!" I stopped running and just told myself that they would keep driving down the road and dissappear. Well whaddaya know?? They decide they just HAVE to stop and talk to me. grrr... So I went and talked to them. They asked what I was doing and I said I was jogging. I then asked them why they stopped and they said thier car ran out of gas. Then I remember thinking "Oh this is just wonderful. Now I have this dumb guy with me that I don't know how to get rid of him." I didn't know what to do. However, I happened to have my cell phone with me and told him where the gas station was and he could call for a tow. I just let him have my phone and started running again. Finally free from annoying DC's I could continue on with my expiriments and then go on with my adventure from the first dream. Right when I started running really fast though I either woke up or stopped dreaming or something because that is all I remember.

    7. My First Lucid Dream!

      by , 06-19-2012 at 05:54 AM
Method Used : MILD combined w/ couting self to sleep, leading to false awakening, leading to dream realization

Note: THis dream was actually on the 16 but I don't know how to put it into my journal as such. Also, I was really tired the 17 and coudln't recall any dreams.

In reality I had fallen asleep but in the dream I it felt like I was still counting to try and have WILD. Then in the dream I remember my dad randomly coming upstairs and ruining my efforts by saying he was going to go pick up donuts and coffee for breakfast. *lucid dreaming cue # 1* My dad wakes me up at 11:00PM to go get donuts and coffee???? Well, feeling frustrated that now I had to recount myself to sleep I decided I would just get up for a while and read some out of the book because I was pretty frustrated at having been woken up so close to success. As I went to get back into bed though I looked down for a second and when I looked up my bed had moved clear across the room to where it was before I rearranged and cleaned my room the week before. *lucid dreaming cue # 2* I began to think that I was possibly in a false awakening and began to question whether I was dreaming and had actually fallen asleep. Before I came to a conclusion though I decided I needed to brush my teeth. (You know how dreams are. It feels perfectly logical to do some completely random thing.) Anyways, when I had finished brushing I got a drink out of the sink to rinse. When I brought my head back up though all the stuff that had been on the counter (razor, toothbrush, etc...) had vanished. *lucid dreaming cue # 3* I began thinking, "OK, this HAS to be a dream". Still not completely in control though I decided to go back to my room and go to sleep and try to have a lucid dream. (wierd huh? i knew it was a dream but wanted to go try and enter another one). Anyways I climbed back into bed and went to set my MP3 player for 15 minutes. When I looked at it though it was playing movie soundtracks. (That particular player though only has the binaural beats on it.) *final cue*This is what finally made me fully aware and in control. I realized what was wrong and was like "screw going back to bed... IM DREAMING!!!!"

I instantly thought "hmmm.... what should do now that I FINALLY am having a lucid dream?" I came to the conclusion that I would go visit my favorite movies and video games. I ran downstairs and out the door. As soon as I got outside though the dream started to fade. It was probably due to the fact that I was SO excited and that I just went from being inside a dark house to dawn outside. Thankfully though I had just read how to counter this in the book. I just looked at the ground and and told myself that I was dreaming over and over and that THIS was where I wanted to be, not awake. It worked and the landscape stabalized. I began running down the street not entirely sure how to get to Green Hill Zone. (ya I started with the video games) I figured if I kept running I would make it there. I wanted to see how fast I could run in a dream. It was probably about double my actual running speed. I just remember when I was running how vivid everything was. I wear glasses and in the dream I remember looking through them and everything was clear. Then I looked to the side and it was blurry, just like in real life!

Anyways, as I was running one of my friends passed me on a bicycle and asked me where I was going. I said "What are YOU doing here? This is MY dream and I dont' remember asking you to show up! (I sure can be rude in my dreams can't I? But you know, kind of wanted to explore on my own) But ya, I'm headed to Green Hill Zone. Wanna come?" I started running again and then my friend stopped me and reminded me to fill out the necessary paperwork. I asked him what the heck he was talking about and he said I needed special passports to get there. I told him he was crazy because in real life such a place wouldn't even exist and since this was MY dream I could go wherever I wanted. Then he asked me to help him fill out his paperwork. I told him I was going to leave and so I did, continuing my quest. As I came to an intersection where there is a big hill and you can see the county road go for miles, the dream started to fade again. I ran back a little ways to try and stabalize things. I tried spinning and layed down on the ground. It worked! The dream returned in all its glory and I started running again. Then my friend passed me on his bike and insisted I help him fill out his papers. I tried to make him just disappear so I could get going again but I wasn't able to. Frustrated, I told him to go away and let me enjoy my dream in solitude. Then a big gust of wind came and blew all his papers away. Soon after the dream started to fade again. I went to collect his papers and hoped that reading all the scrambled letters would help. I found one of the papers and the dream was nearly gone. They were legible at first but as I spun to regain lucidity they scrambled. In the dream I remember conciously thinking that my brain was being a real jerk and playing tricks on my attempts to retain lucidity. With one final spin I tried to stay lucid but fell to the ground. I accepted the fact that I was going to wake up and passed seamlessly to laying in my bed. I woke up and the recording took 20 minutes!

P.S. If someone knows how to change the date on the entry please let me know.
