Lucid Dreams
Key: Green = Dream Blue = Lucid The furthest back I can remember I was on my way to meet a recently deceased friend for lunch. I hadn't seen her in a while so I was kind of looking forward to it. I remember driving around and being rather confused as to where I was going. Then I started having a conversation with someone about how they had just lost the place they were living because the landlord found a small tent which was half full of "paraphernalia". He didn't go into what that entailed but the dream shifted to his memory at this point. Apparently a handful of college kids were renting some this guy's garage/shed and had managed to make a big mess of things. There he was, screaming at them because it had been totally trashed but none of them actually knew why it had been so messed up. As he stormed off, one of the kids decided that they might as well clean up before they leave, and started to do so but somehow a fire started. The landlord came back screaming again, but didn't even notice the fire. One of the kids actually had to bust through a door with a fire extinguisher, almost hitting the landlord in the process, in order to get to the fire. The fire had exposed a small hole that ran underneath part of the floor. A quick look inside revealed a ton of huge rats. But these weren't ordinary rats, they were sentient. They were also all sorts of different colors and sizes, as well as capable of speech. I remember playing with them and asking about their social hierarchy, they had no idea what I was talking about. Then one of the kids got bit, and another told him he was going to get rabies. Understandably, he was freaking out, so I had to calm him down. I told him that rabies can infect any mammal, but not rodents such as rats, mice, squirrels, or rabbits. He insisted that he felt ill, and I explained to him that it was likely anxiety. I began to explain how I mitigate anxiety when I realized I was dreaming. I immediately remembered that I needed to find some kids at halloween. I walked out of the garage and turned the corner expecting to find some. There I was walking down the hallway of a school. Kids were dressed up in costume and had apparently stuffed their backpacks with all sorts of treats and things they had gotten from each class. I first summoned my connection to venom. Six sickly green glowing orbs appeared behind me, chained to my back. I focused the energy from them into my right hand and then concentrated on the concept of "candy" while an orb of venom energy formed in my palm. I then snapped my fingers and streams of energy lept from my hand and to the various backpacks and bags of the surrounding kids. "Your candy is now all poisoned!" I yelled, followed by maniacal super-villain laughter. "I wouldn't eat that if I were you." I said to a passing young girl, who defiantly popped a piece in her mouth before immediately blanching, and falling over stone cold dead. "I'm the only one who can consume the candy now!" I exclaimed, before outstretching my left hand, which I have engineered to absorb. Candy began flying through the air, at me, and flowing into the void vortex in the left palm. I often refer to this process as "eating" as it is consumption followed by becoming. Oddly, this wasn't going very fast, perhaps I'm just used to absorbing energy or one or two small things through my hand, because candy began to back up my throat, which caused me to pause and re-swallow said pieces. All the time, the kids are watching me with an odd fascination. They don't like that I've poisoned their candy, but the fact that it's all flying out of their bags and towards me is kind of cool to watch. That wasn't working well enough, so I moved to tactic two, which I normally reserve for when I want to eat something large like an entire person. I grab my chest, dig my fingers into my sternum before tearing my chest open. I am now split open from my nose to my stomach as if I had a vertical mouth which extends that far. Indeed, the edges are lined with sharp teeth. Inside is nothing but the darkness of the void. Black tendrils spew forth from this void and physically grab the candy from the kids. This is a bit much, it freaks them all out, and they begin to run around in a panic. After I've "eaten" all of the candy, I realized that I feel very strange. At first I'm confused because I'm immune to the effects of my own venom. As I stumble away, thinking, "I need to go home and lay down" a little kid who apparently wasn't scared by my antics says "you know! you shouldn't eat that much sugar at once." Odd random fragment follows. I was being chased by a car with no front wheels. I also woke up way early and decided to stay in bed and rehearse the dream so that I could remember it. Woke up several times and had to remind myself that I wasn't allowed to modify my memory of it. Had other little fragments during their period, including a fight against another chimera but also alongside a few as well.
Key: Green = Dream Blue = Lucid The furthest back I can remember, I was doing a science demonstration with Bill Nye about the effects of CO2. We filled up a chamber with the gas but instead of using a camera to see through the stuff, we blasted an infra red laser through it which sort of just seemed to fade. After that I suppose it was time to clock out and leave, but I couldn't get the time card software to work. I got frustrated and decided to just leave but I couldn't find my shoes. I went through the whole office building trying to find them but couldn't. At one point I was looking through a bag of food from both Chik-fil-A and McDonald's. It all looked disgusting, but I stole some fries. At one point a butler type person suggested that a pair of sandals were mine. I yelled at him because that was stupid, then realized that based on what I was wearing, sandals made sense, after which I apologized profusely. The next bit is a little odd. There was an office war going on, Will Ferrel was the boss... and naked. People were running in large armies through the halls, there was a ghost of a dead girl the boss had killed. It was kind of hectic. I just wanted to leave, so I went out to a balcony and decided to jump down to the ground before taking the bus. It was rather odd that I remember both knowing that I can fly, and also being afraid of heights. When I realized how strange that was, I became lucid... but that was interrupted by dream characters who wanted me to help them flip the bosses car. I told them that would be property damage, so it might be better to simply fill his in-car hot tub with jello. Somehow, instead of doing that, we ended up flooding the first floor, which awoke an elder demon sealed in the basement. That's when I became lucid again, and ran out to the balcony, jumped out into what was now pour rain and fell. I closed my eyes, and tried to teleport to the Colosseum in Rome for the task of the year. Unfortunately, I missed and landed in an auditorium within that same building I had just escaped. I had to break down the door to get out as this was "reeducation" for deviants. I ran back out into the halls to find the war still raging. One man was dressed in gladiator armor, which reminded me of the task of the year again. I ran outside, jumped from the same balcony, closed my eyes, and teleported again. And again I missed. I was in the countryside which was mostly just deserts and sparse trees. I could see a city in the distance, so I started to fly there but the trees got in my way. Eventually I came to a river which I attempted to cross but a massive number of kunai (Japanese ninja throwing knives) came shooting out of the opposing bank, which I deflected with my own kunai. It seemed other people were also trying to get into this city. I told them I was trying to get to the Colosseum, and asked them if this was even Rome. They didn't respond. So I assumed THIS wasn't Rome, but on the other side of the river WAS Rome. I also realized that the kunai wouldn't hurt me, since I was dreaming, and decided to just walk in, ignoring them. But this time, no knives came flying out, and I went right across. But now alarms were going off so I began sliding quickly down different rock formations to move faster. They looked sort of like green glass, or perhaps jade. Then this stuff transformed into somewhat of a huge complicated glass track that looped and curved all over the place. I sort of surfed this track at ridiculous speeds for a while before I realized this was so totally not Rome. I jumped off the track, closed my eyes, concentrated on the Colosseum, and teleported... and missed again. This time I was in a small room with Ren and Stimpy. I remember that there was a conversation, but not the content of the conversation. Seeing as how I was in a small room, I decided to try the advanced task of the month of walking on the wall again, only this time using telekinesis to pull myself towards the wall. It didn't work too well. Gravity was still an issue so I had to get pretty complex with what I was reaching out and pulling with my mind to get it to work. It also had a side effect of making the room become slowly smaller. Once I was able to reach across to the other side of the room and brace myself between two opposing walls or the cieling and floor, I decided that was cheating and left. As I walked outside, I figured that my teleportation was obviously in need of some calibration, and gave up on the Colosseum for the night. Walking down the street I decided to sing the ABC song, to complete out the basic task. For some reason I found myself also counting on my fingers... which seemed odd then, but now I realize that's actually pretty common for me as I try to figure out what number corresponds to a letter's position in the alphabet. I had some trouble remembering the last verse of the song, so I just sang the whole song again and got it on the second try. At this point I'm walking down the street and I can feel that I'm probably going to wake up soon. I know the Colosseum is a wash for tonight, so instead I decide I'll just go nuts on the task of the month and call someone. I really just opened up my phone and hit send twice, because that's an easy way to call the previous person and doesn't require that I go through lists of contacts which I probably wouldn't able to access. The person on the other end answers "Moshi moshi" which is the way the Japanese answer phones. What followed was a conversation in Japanese that I doubt I could reproduce (I'm still learning). The basics of it was that I told the girl on the other end that I had found two people just like her, one who looked just like her, and one who had the same attitude/mannerisms. There was quite a bit of back and forth, but that's really all I've got. The dream would slowly fade as I became more aware of the bed beneath me, and I woke up. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ If this dream has taught me one thing, it's that I need to find a quicker and more consistent teleportation technique. This technique has worked for me very well in the past for both teleportation and time travel. It's a little fuzzy, and requires that I be able to accurately visualize where/when I want to be, but I've got to sort this out. Perhaps I'll use this technique to get me to a hall of doors, and then use the doors to rapidly teleport. That is, open one, visually verify if it's the right place, if not, close it and open the next, repeating the process until I get the result I'm looking for.
A bit of back story before I get into this. I picked as my task for the night to heal a massive number of people at once to test a hypothesis I came up with regarding Lucid dreams and depression. Key: Green = Dream Blue = Lucid The furthest back I can remember, I was in a dimly lit cafe or diner. I got the impression that it was in a place full of supernatural creatures. As I was walking to the restroom a woman pricked my arm with a plastic straw as if to suck some blood. Of course, I recoiled. Then I realized that she had deposited something like a maggot under my skin, which I pinched out and squashed. She protested, but I insisted that it was my arm, and therefore my rules. She grinned as I looked down to see that I had not helped the situation, something was spreading underneath my skin. So I summoned my connection to venom. One vivid sickly green glowing orb the size of a beach ball appeared floating behind me, chained to my back. Through this, I focused the venom energy through my right arm, emitting it from my right palm over the infected area. However, the infection continued to spread, the venom had no effect. So then I grabbed hold of a piece of it with telekinesis and pulled it out from my arm. It looked like 3D printed clockwork. I deduced that this was a living, self-assembling, mechanical computer. I had essentially contracted a clockwork infection which was quickly spreading through my body, taking up materials at the molecular level and building new structures out of them. Of course venom energy didn't work against it, this stuff wasn't the kind of thing that poison would do anything to. It could take that as an energy input and just use it to do more work. With that in mind, I switched gears (I'm so punny ). Alright, I quickly realized that there was only one thing in my arsenal of tricks which could combat this, I only had one choice. Throw the infection into the void, consume it, and become it. Luckily, it was already in my left arm, which is the arm that absorbs (yes I've constructed my dream body in such a deliberate manner). So I drew the infection into the void at my core, wherein all concepts become a part of me. Now I was the same thing as this, and not only did it cease the infection, I could control it. After all, it had now been added to my arsenal of tricks. The woman who had infected me didn't quite like what I had done. She started to react negatively, so I stood up taller, and decided to intimidate her. My face split open much like a horrid blooming mechanical flower to reveal a mass of swirling cogs, gears, and blades. Through the sound of grinding, clashing and slashing came my voice, which seemed as if it were actually produced by the motions of these parts, "You have no power over me. I have become." She immediately shrank back into her seat. I wandered out of the cafe at this point, and found myself in a house. Someone approached me, yelling that I shouldn't be there. I opened my face again, and let out a terrifying keening scream, to which the guy responded "F**K THIS S**T! I'm out!" and ran. I became momentarily lucid, thinking that I should do the mass healing I had planned to perform, but quickly forgot. Once I got outside, I remembered again, and flew to the top of the tallest building. I summoned my connection to the concept of healing. Six large warm pink glowing orbs appeared behind me, chained to my back. I focused the energy into the palm of my right hand, concentrating it as tightly as I could muster before it exploded, raining confetti down on the surrounding area. I then projected it outward as a field of pink energy as if I had extended my now pink aura at least one hundred yards out. Now that I looked down, I found that the roof was now packed with people. Every space available to stand was occupied. I reached out and grabbed someone's hand, yelled that everyone should touch the people around them. I then pulsed this pink energy through these physical connections as if we were human neurons. "How do you feel?" I asked some of the people around me. They all said pretty much the same thing "I wasn't really injured or feeling bad before, but now I feel amazing." I can't recall what happened between that and waking but I feel there was probably more content there. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A couple of cool things. First, I managed to complete a goal the first night choosing it. I have dedicated myself to getting back to the basics of lucid dreaming and actually practicing a lot of the things usually reserved for beginners in an effort to improve my ability. So far, it's been working amazingly well. Second, that clockwork infection was SUPER COOL! The nerd in me is super exited about this. Also, I have a tendency to take the negative things that happen to me in my dreams and turn them into resources I can then use to positive effect. I'm actually looking forward to utilizing this new ability to see where I can take it. I'm sure it's not just good for intimidation. I can't help but wonder if I can build things with this clockwork. It has a lot of cool potential. Third. I can't tell, but it seems like the mass healing may have had the effect I wanted. So far, my depression this morning seems as if it has been slightly lessened. I can't say for sure until this evening as that's when things get their worst. We'll see. So far, so good. I may need to repeat the process a few times before it takes full effect.
Almost got the advanced task again. I had become lucid earlier as I was being shot at a convenience store. The guy pulled a gun, I stripped it away from him using TK. He pulled another. I walked straight up to him and with obvious fury, commanded him to shoot me (I hate being shot more than anything else in my dreams). He did, it did nothing but hurt. He pissed himself, I shot him in the arm so he couldn't shoot anyone else and walked out. Something was going on in the parking lot, people were divided into teams. I didn't want to participate and while thinking about what I wanted to do next, remembered the task of the month. I was going to hell. I found a little trailer at the edge of the lot, opened it up and saw a spiraling hole downward. It was a tight fit at first, until I remembered that it was supposed to be easier to get to hell and it opened up wider. Once there, I met a small little demon who showed me around a bit. He took me along the safer routes. I specifically remember him saying that they didn't get many visitors, to which I responded that I had been there several times before. My recall of the details here are a bit fuzzy. I remember walking through a field of mushrooms that looked like severed human toes. I remember thinking that I shouldn't eat or drink anything from the underworld or else I would be trapped there. I also remember walking past several demons chained up but most were free roaming. I asked if we were going to get to see the devil, to which my guide responded "he's kind of a trouble maker, you don't really want to meet him." but then there he was around the corner. He was very tall, at least 13 feet. His skin looked like glowing embers and he had two great horns. I ditched the guide and began to follow the devil along a path that was obviously not safe. It wasn't even a path, he just sort of went wherever he wanted. The devil didn't say anything but looked impressed as I walked over hot coals, through burning walls of fire, and even stepped directly on greater demons of fire who wrestled against their chains in protest. It wasn't until I stepped on a demon of ice that I showed any discomfort. At that point, the devil handed me a red hot brand which I could tap against my feet, the heat of which would linger while I walked through the ice. We had walked for a ways before I remembered that there was something else I had to do... then my alarm went off. No beer. Sakamoto Kyu, you keep interrupting my quality time with the devil. Grrrr. So close!
I had been flying around in a lucid dream for a while. I was really just exploring the world I found myself in. It was bizarrely fantastic. The proportions of things were all over the place. Mostly things were much larger than they had any business being. It was also packed with people. I remember thinking to myself "this is quite the interesting lucid dream I'm having" and that's when I remembered the task of the month. I turned around on this busy street and asked the first person I saw, a young woman with short curly red hair, "This might seem a little strange, but I'm having sort of an existential crisis. What would you say is the meaning of life?" At first I couldn't understand her one-word answer, so I asked her to repeat herself. She leaned forward and said "Drive. The only thing that gives life meaning is finding at least one thing which really drives you. Something which so consumes you that you are compelled to do it. Something you cannot deny." A passerby heard our conversation, a little brunette with dwarfism, "I couldn't help but overhear what you two were talking about and I totally agree. Even Zombies seem to behave with purpose. They have a hunger they cannot deny which causes them to pass on their traits, in this case zombism. Now, they didn't choose that purpose, that purpose chose them, but now we, we have that choice don't we?" At this point the two girls started talking to one another about things I couldn't understand. I think they were mentioning groups of people they were having trouble with and rattling off names. I sort of realized that I must be in the faery world for all of this stuff to be so fantastic. The brunette then said something to the effect of "you know, you're right. I've got something I've got to take care of." She then blew a small clear whistle, but no sound came out. I then heard what sounded like rattling, tapping, and scraping all in impossible rapid fire and so fast that the doppler effect was warping their tone. She rose one leg under which several corgi's carying various supplies ran under until the largest one came winding through the crowd with blinding speed to stop just under her. She plopped down, grabbed hold of the harness it was wearing, and was gone in an instant. I thought to myself, "I have to tell Sherrina" (my roommate) and woke up.
Had a short little LD this morning. Randomly encountered a man in red devil pajamas. It was basically a full one-piece set of long johns complete with a button on removable tail and a hoodie with horns on it. I immediately remembered the monthly task, grabbed his hand and said "hey Satan, lets go get a beer in hell." He led me around what appeared to be a college campus, but before we could find the door to hell, I woke up.
Fragment the first: Long road trip with the roommates. Stopped at an old home of mine wanting to show them our old clubhouse. One roommate fell into a hole and broke her ankle. Fragment the second: Found an "armored leech" in an alley. It was roughly the size of an American Football and looked like a cross between a leech, a lamprey, and an armored sturgeon. It attached itself to my roommates shoe (different one from before). She said it wasn't attached to her directly, but her shoe was indeed full of blood from an injury she sustained (her foot had been crushed). I used my healing powers to fix her foot. Lucid: I had just time traveled to the future. It was pretty cool. People were zipping around on devices that looked like gyroscopically stabilized electric unicycles. When they ran out of power, they were collapsible and you would just return them to a vending machine. If you weren't done with your trek, and didn't want to walk the rest of the way, then you could get another one fully charged. I was walking around just taking in the sights when I noticed a checkpoint. People had to walk through big things which looked like the scanners at airports. There was a man in front of me in line with a book. Upon seeing this, the person obviously running the checkpoint (played by Morgan Freeman) noticed his book. He told him that all books needed to be scanned to make sure they weren't contraband. The man inserted the book into a machine, and the scan came back that it was indeed contraband. I too had a book. I hadn't noticed it before, but I was carrying around a graphic novel. I was then asked to do the same as the man in front of me. I did so, and this time I watched with curiosity to see what the machine would pop up. The error it threw was something like "not biblically compatible". I remember wondering if this was in reference to the Christian Bible, or if it was more like "biblio" as in "book". Seeing as how this was the distant future, both were a possibility. At that point, Morgan Freeman got on his com and called for a swat team, we were to be arrested as subversives. I suppose he expected us to submit. He was right about the first man, he was wrong about me. I had been moderately lucid this whole time, really just observing. I then took the reins. Six glowing sickly-green orbs roughly twice the size of basketballs appeared behind me chained to my back. These are conduits to the concept of venom. Everyone was quite shocked to see them appear. Morgan Freeman exclaimed "what the-?" and I issued a palm strike to two people, infusing them with venom. They immediately fell over unconscious. I reached out and grabbed Morgan Freeman, but he merely responded with "You're not the only special person, I'm resistant to these sorts of things." A smirk crossed my face as the orbs disappeared and reappeared as vivid white. I punched him in the face and electricity surged through his body. He fell over. I then grabbed the heads of the two unconscious people and basically erased their memories of the past couple of hours with a good shock. I was wondering what I should do next when I realized that Morgan Freeman wasn't down for the count, he was trying to get the books transported somewhere so at least they would be separated from us and used as evidence against us. The machine they were in was housed in a large brick pillar, so now the white orbs disappeared and reappeared as floating brown rock spheres. They seemed rather paradoxical as they seemed to shine stone. I realize that doesn't make a lot of sense, but that's what they do. Now that I was aligned with earth, I pushed over the brick pillar like it was made of straw and retrieved both books. I handed the first book back to its original owner and said "you know, we should probably get out of here". At that point, I let the reins slip back to my subconscious and simply observed. I was then on a journey with this person to find an equal. It had been determined that I was probably the most powerful person on the planet due to my abilities. We were flying around the wastelands at this point when I came across a small girl fighting a giant ogre. At first she appeared to only be dancing. It wasn't until the ogre tried to smash her that she did a little hip twist which corresponded to thick vines bursting from the ground up and over her, hardening into wood instantly blocking the blow. She then did a little kick and spin, which caused vines to grab the ogre and throw him. She was apparently the last of the wood dancers and controlled plants with her body. It was apparently a very intuitive process. It couldn't be done with thought. It was done through emotion. She did little kicks, twists and so forth causing the ogre to be smacked around, bound and thrown. Eventually it fled. I doubt she was my equal, but she sure was cool, so I landed to say hello before I woke up.
Fragment: I dreamed that I was working at a copy shop (I currently work at a copy shop, but this one was different). I was the only one there, and I was trying to help one customer, but I wasn't familiar with the machines and I couldn't find the right printer from the drop down list. As I struggled with this, the line built up until the whole store was full. I then realized that I was dreaming, and as someone started to complain I made an announcement to the entire store "This message is to inform all our customers, that this is just a dream in my head. None of this is real, none of you need copies, and I'm done." They all started to yell and scream at me for how irresponsible I was being, so I made a mental association to link the concept of fire with the concept of paper before snapping my fingers. All of their hard copies instantly erupted in flames. During the confusion, I walked out, but then woke up. It was after going back to sleep that I had the next dream. Saving Captain Jack: I forget how it started, but Captain Jack Harkness (the lead character from the show Torchwood) had been kidnapped and was being dissected. Of course, because he couldn't die, this was a pretty awful thing to do. I was trying to save him. Seemed like there were also aliens who fed on human misery. At first they thought that completely and utterly blocking me out from saving him would provide the most misery. I told them that misery is actually strongest when there's hope, and that they should offer to allow me to see him, but also take that away, as it would provide a better "meal" for them. Both sides understood that we were trying to game the other. They took me into a big elevator, which turned out to work kind of like a wonkavator, going all over the place. Apparently, it was voice activated. It didn't take long before I realized we weren't going anywhere near where we should be. On the elevator, I ran into a man in a wheelchair. He said he would help me. But for some reason, I didn't trust him. I told him that I needed a handshake before I could know if he could be trusted. He extended his right hand, I extended my left and said "no, with the left hand". A bit of backstory. In my dreams, I have engineered the left side of my body to absorb, while the right side emmits. I wanted to absorb some of his "energy" to determine if he was indeed a threat. A left handed handshake is essentially and instant "I now know you" in my dreams. In any case, with the handshake came a sensation like an electric shock. We both recoiled. He exclaimed "WHAT ARE YOU?!!" and rolled back slightly. His human form then began to waver and he started to look more like a realistic version of an ape that Dr Seuss might draw. I tried using telekinesis on him, but it didn't work. It was official, he was fae. For the first time ever, I managed to get some degree of telekinetic purchase on a member of the fae, but I couldn't thrash him about. He was being very confrontational and just wouldn't let up. So I switched gears and decided to use my TK on his eyes, which popped. That was done. Now to address the aliens. I went over to the panel, told them the address I wanted to go to (which was back where we started), but they pushed a button labeled "lies" which overrode the previous and subsequent commands. I then decided to escape and try to make it back there on my own while they were out. I used my teleportation technique. I closed my eyes, fell backwards, and through the floor. I focused on what was just outside the elevator, and that's where I ended up. Misses: I then tried repeatedly to get to Jack, but found that I kept missing. I have to visualize where/when I want to appear, they had been, and would be, doing these sorts of dissections for a while, so I kept showing up at the wrong place and time. It actually seemed like they were prepared for me, like they knew they had a problem with a guy randomly showing up, killing a few guards, and then escaping. I couldn't save him. Meditation: I decided then that I needed more control. So I performed the teleportation, except this time I cleared my mind. As I tumbled in this place outside of space and time, I folded my legs into a lotus position, my hands in a prayer position, and I began to meditate. I cleared my mind. Thoughts moved in and out like the passing wind, but my mind became still. I found that the lotus position helped me anchor into the meditation more as the kinesthetic sensations held a small portion of my awareness on my body, and it's odd position. This, combined with the sensation of falling, anchored me very well into this dream meditation. After meditating for only about 10-15 minutes, I decided that enough was enough. I "landed" in an attack from which I could find no way out. It was very vivid though. I remember feeling the dust and dirt as well as seeing the light streaming through holes in the roof. I decided I would teleport again. But this time I was more lucid, and realized that I didn't have to go save Jack because he was just a DC and not really someone suffering who needed my help. Sex: I find the next bit a little unfortunate. It's annoying because it's so common. When my self-esteem and confidence were lower, I had fewer sexual dreams. Now that I've overcome a lot of my anxiety issues, I find that my confidence and subsequently my libido are soaring. This often results in my LDs turning into sex dreams. It's like when I become sufficiently lucid, my brain asks "So, what do you want to do?" and my libido yells "WOMEN!" This was an interesting one, because it involved combining meditation, yoga, and sex. It was fascinating, but ultimately I didn't accomplish anything that I set out to do. Accomplishments: That all being said, I did accomplish some awesome stuff this morning. 1. My powers worked on the Fae for the first time. 2. I meditated in my lucid dream again (which is more difficult than I make it sound). Both of those are pretty big deals.

I had a dream this morning about an old friend, Rinda, who passed away not long ago. I ran into her in what looked like a giant hotel like something a convention would be held at. She reminded me of how she believed in reincarnation and was now done with somewhat of a "cooling period" and was ready to be reborn. Because I'm a lucid dreamer, she asked for my help going around and passing along her final goodbyes. I would hold her hand as we passed through a door, which would take us into a dream of the people she was imagining. I sort of just hung back, keeping the door open, and let her have her moments before we left that room and did it all over again. We must have gone through every door in that building. When it was all said and done, I got a big hug and she said something to the effect of "well, enough waiting around, I'm off to my next adventure" before walking out the front door into the light.

Fragment the first: Don't remember much. Only that it was pleasant and that I got plenty of deep sleep. Fragment the second: Not so great. Involved an intercourse related injury. Became lucid near the end and tried to travel back in time to prevent said injury, woke up instead. Fragment the third: Involved lots of scorpions. I'm generally good at staying asleep through nightmare scenarios, but when a scorpion gets in your hair, it tends to activate the lower portions of your brain which cause a complete freak out. Shrugged off the first three without a problem. The fourth was too much and jolted me awake.
