In waking life I'm working on an astrological chart for my new niece so that contributes to this dream.

In the dream, my wife and I just returned from a camping trip. Formally dressed relatives and friends begin coming into our house to celebrate the birth of our niece.

I had no idea there was supposed to be a party, and I'm dressed in jeans and a t-shirt. People are spilling into my bedroom as I'm trying to find my one suit.

It's not in my closet and all I can find are these wild gypsy trousers so I think I'll go ethnic instead of formal. I know these folks realize I'm strange but I think that if I go with the gypsy outfit they'll put me in a whole new category.

So I'm in my underwear and several women start flirting with me. The whole situation is getting more and more ridiculous. Then my brother in law passes around a picture of his wife, the new mother, and in it she's working out naked to recover her figure.

I finally find a decent shirt and pants to put on and then sit down. My new niece (who in the dream is about 3 years old instead of newborn) comes and sits beside me.

I can see who the little girl is going to become and know that this will help me interpret her astrology chart. (I often have dreams of my clients before I meet with them, and these dreams are very helpful in my readings.)

Then I have a false awakening and am telling some friends about my ridiculous dream, but as we're laughing, formally dressed people start coming into the room with us. I wake myself up.
