    1. Kidnapping dream

      by , 06-27-2010 at 04:59 PM
was somewhere a school and a tiny invisible needle went into my arm (didn't see it guessing), but I didn't fall asleep or anything but these two guys put me under a computer desk/table in a hidden room and left me there. All "I " knew when "I" was being kidnapped was the kidnappers knew that I knew something about something they wanted to know but my I didn't know what that is. A couple of seconds after they left a black-haired woman came in and sat down and accidentally kicked me (she did not know I was under the table) . Than, one of my friends from high school's dream self (who was taller and lanker than the real one))in my dream was in a Humphrey Bogart type of outfit (Fedora & trench coat ) and almost arrested this woman but "I said hold your horses, this woman didn't know I was under the table." Than for some reason this dream-friend asked to see my arms nothing was on the right arm, but on the left arm there was some lines and some blood. Than she and the other woman vanish into thin area. Than the 2 guys came back for me and forced me into their car (It was nighttime when we left the building). I kept trying to escape but every time I did the kidnappers got me back. The last thing that happened in the dream was signaling *with hand signals) another of my friends from highschool to call her dad and report a kidnapping but she didn't understand sign language so she got the last friend in my dream who for some reason was living in the same house as the other friend mentioned, to interpret what I was saying.

    2. Childhood Nightmare

      by , 06-27-2010 at 04:58 PM
This dream happened when I was a very young child and twice: in one nightmare I was walking home with my Mom from the GO train (train that goes into Toronto in in Ontario, Canada ) station ( I didn't see the train or the station it self I just know that what we were heading from ) over top of the highway "bridge" and its was peaceful until a car with headlights on comes onto the sidewalk (I mean literally) and starts chasing mom and me on the sidewalk (thats when I woke up)

in the second dream same thing happened but we were closer to home this time on the 3rd main street in my town.

it was very vivid that I can remember like it was yesterday

    3. WILD attempt(s) with BillyBob method

      by , 06-27-2010 at 04:43 PM
DJ 10 (27 June 2010) I know this probably doesn’t count as a true dream journal entry, but I wanted to record the experience of a WILD attempt.

Tried BillyBobs method for WILD a number of times and wound up losing my concentration with my counting and breathing. Woke up realizing I had drifted off. I think that’s when the greeter dream came about.

There were also a number of Hall. Images that started coalescing into what could have been a dream. I guess I concentrated on them too much and forgot about the breathing/counting and being passive part of the technique. That’ll take practice, but nonetheless it was pretty cool to experience it.

Again, I know, not a regular dream journal entry, but an attempt at something new.

      by , 06-27-2010 at 04:42 PM
DJ 9 (27 June 2010) Just now remembering from the evening

      Fragmented – partial

I was in a hotel lobby with another guy watching people come in for a barbershop quartet competition. Suddenly, the greeters at the door left and this guy and myself become the greeters. It seemed almost natural. Then I greet some ladies that walk through the door. It’s as if I can read their minds – they want to stay here and chat rather than go on in. I still feel like I need to continue greeting people, but I’m torn because I’d rather strike up a conversation with these ladies.

Suddenly, I’m on the phone to someone’s attorney – I don’t know what about. This happens a number of times during the dream. Then I make a call that after a couple rings I hang up (another attorney), but nobody answers. Immediately after, the parish priest calls me asking why I’m putting attorney’s clients at risk of losing their attorneys by calling them. (That was confusing) The dream ends

    5. Mall in my mind

      by , 06-27-2010 at 04:41 PM
      DJ 8 (27 June 2010) 0100

Extremely long dream - do figure with Donna again.

I’m with Donna at a super large mall. Too large to describe. I have never been to Mall of America, but this thing I was in would dwarf that I believe.

We are forced to take rented trams that operate like segues for two, and we drive them (no one helps). Donna takes the controls in front and I hold onto her and help steer by leaning. We are weaving traffic in the mall and hit a cop car/tram. He laughs it off. Isn’t the first time he’s seen newbies not know how to operate a tram.

All we’re trying to do is find a store to return a movie. Neither one of us has been here before, yet she swears that she knows where this store is in the mall. Neither one of us has a clue.

So we go on and eventually broadside another cop. This one’s pissed at us and starts giving us the third degree. His isn’t just a tram, but a full mall car. Black and white (kind of looks like a skunk on wheels), has lights on top, but the lettering doesn’t say “POLICE”. It starts out with a “P” but the other letters and symbols don’t resemble anything that means police. So, I argue on a technicality that he can’t arrest is for hitting a cop car, because his car Isn’t specifically labeled as a cop car, and point out his lettering. A few bystanders, some rather important, excitedly agree with us, and he’s forced to let us go. The rest of the dream, he’s chasing us in revenge.

We ditch the tram, and have to climb rickety shelving to reach the second floor. Donna has little problem traversing the shelving being lighter than myself. (I’m not large – but she’s fairly petite). She goes on, and I’m left behind trying to make my way up and through the shelving, At one point I am stuck and have to back out. There are tons of people around sitting on the shelving and I notice that some of it is starting to slip out of there holders (this is where the people sit, so they are going to fall about thirty feet down to the next floor).

I yell at then to get off the shelving, to which I’m desperately clinging to, and they’re looking at me like I’m from another planet, but they get off. Once they’re off, I’m terrified because I know how high up I am and now I’m trying to make my way back to where I started. The shelving is starting to slip off its brackets. I look down and notice I’m, only about a foot off the floor, and realize how stupid I must have sounded. Embarrassed, I get to the second floor and search for Donna.

I eventually find her in the store watching a movie, so a cuddle up next to her and finish watching. She’s very cold toward me because of how late I arrived, and didn’t care to hear about my adventures I getting there.

At some point at the end of the show/movie we’re on the floor cuddled up and she’s playfully rolling up the hideaway bed with her foot as I’m somehow caught under it. I try to stop her from using her hands to roll it, but she wasn’t using her hands. She was using a foot. I felt like I was being trapped, but not harmed in any way. We both laughed about it after wards.

Later we’re sleeping on a rather large bed (king size I suppose) with her two sons (from a previous marriage). We’re all trying to find room to do this and decide to stay in opposing corners of the bed. Then we start invading each others territory – the bed is shrinking. It was not a good situation, nor a very happy one. (This didn’t correlate with any other part of the dream)

I remember running onto a miniature golf park, but with a sprinkler system. Somehow the first time I avoid getting wet. But the second time, when we’re trying to escape the mall (I’m not sure where that came in) I run unto the golf park (it’s huge – and black) I start tripping the sprinklers like little pop-up land mines. They start poking up through the ground wherever I am and start getting soaked. I fell down at one point and damn near had a sprinkler catch me in the ass – not pleasant. Once I get to a safe spot an old college friend (Ranger – nickname) came up to me and we started laughing about the whole golf scenario.

While we are exiting the mall, when we get through the shelving between floors on the way down, there was this water park like atmosphere. I took a raft from the edge and threw it out into the water. I was pissed off that nobody would believe our story in the mall. Some lady had wanted to use the raft (I didn’t realize this at first). She didn’t take any offense to it – just waited for it come back.

In the dream, as I was escaping to get out of the mall there were these goofy stairs that had rotating cylinders on all the steps sometimes turning in one direction (down the strairs, or up the stairs, and sometimes in opposite directions so you didn’t know what step to put your foot on. I just jumped over the whole damn stairway (there were only 4 or 5 steps). I guess I should have realized I was dreaming at this point.

Hell it never occurred to me to become aware during any part of this dream, and it was a rather long one with all sorts of cues. I feel like an idiot not being aware, but glad I was able to remember so much of it.

Anyone want to throw out why I'm suddenly dreaming so much with my ex-wife in the picture. I mean come on 6 out of 8. I was kind of kidding with the whole use Donna as a dream sign thing, but now that I'm keeping track of my dreams I'm beginning to wonder.

    6. Housing project

      by , 06-27-2010 at 04:36 PM
      (25 June 2010)
      I remember nothing!!!!

DJ 7 (26 June 2010) Kind of a longish dream, more detail.

      Housing project - Donna

Vivid dream about being in a subdivision that is newly being developed. Our house finished; although, the landscaping is simple dirt. There’s an oscillating sprinkler in the yard that has an unusual pattern is watering the grass. It bothers me, but at the same time I remember being mesmerized by it waiting for the pattern to repeat itself. I watch it for about 4 cycles then continue the conversation with our neighbors.

The landscape to our house has a very steep incline, and a rather long one too, with loose dirt. Donna asks that I come in and help her with the furniture. So, I bound up the landscape without any trouble whatsoever. This shouldn’t be for physical gravitation going up the slope should have made it extremely difficult. I gave it a passing thought in my dream as I’m trying to figure what Donna wanted done with the furniture.

I get in the house, and the furniture is in a pieces on the floor. It’s the put together type of furniture, but normal press-board check ass stuff. It’s real hardwood. But, why it would have to be assembled is troubling.

I start looking at the pieces and think how the project is going to be daunting because of the weight of real wood and the number of pieces. I look at Donna, I look at the instruction and then back to what should have been the pieces. They are now assembled into a rather elaborate china hutch, but the molding/trim to the base of the cabinet is missing and looks to need a rather difficult miter cut.

I look at the pieces that they provide for base and realize there is now extra for mistake. So I look at he instructions to see what lengths and angles they recommend and then start to go set up a miter saw, but as I look down, the pieces are now cut.

At no point in this dream did I say, “Hey stupid, you’re dreaming”. I wasn’t even aware, like in the previous dreams, other than the going up the landscape thingy, but I was in hurry to get somewhere, so paid it no attention.

That was a frustrating dream. Vivid – but frustrating, because it now appears that there were so many opportunities to at least sense awareness. Somebody please help me……

    7. Discussions of Donna

      by , 06-27-2010 at 04:31 PM
      DJ 6 (24 June 2010)

Another 5 minute nap episode. Another dream involving Donna

Very brief dream. My brother and I are in an office talking with a total stranger sitting behind a desk. (A ton of paperwork pilled on it by the way). Suddenly, we’re discussing my ex-wife and our living arrangements and the paperwork that needs to be filled out and lost on this guy’s desk. I look at my brother and look at the desk and wonder why I’m discussign Donna with a complete stranger, when our relationship (or unrelationship) has already been finalized. I’m aware that I wouldn’t normally be talking to anyone else about this and come to the conclusion that I’m dreaming.

Again I waste the awareness. But the stupid alarm goes off and I have to get ready for other duties. STUPID ALARM. I’m not sure I’d be able to know what – if anythong – I’d have sone with awaareness anyway.

    8. Billiards

      by , 06-27-2010 at 04:30 PM
      DJ 5 – 25 June 2010

      Billiards

I’m in a pool hall with some friends. I don’t know who these people are, but I recognize them in my dream (or treat them in my dream) as friends. Anyway, we’re playing guy/girls teams, and halfway through a game I recognize that there are more balls on the table than there had been on the previous shot, or on another shot all of the opponents balls were not on the table at all.

I tell myself in the dream, “This can’t be right” and I’m aware that I’m dreaming, but then something catches my attention and I go along with the dream (can’t recall what it was that distracted me),but then I woke up.

Am I getting closer? Even if by chance happening? I didn’t know what to do with theh awareness in the dream. And it’s more frustrating now that I’m awake, because I feel like could have been there.

It’s t he same type of feeling after you’ve been in a tornado. I was more scared after the fact tot realize that I could have very easily been killed. Now I’m pretty sure I’m not gonna get killed in my dream, but it’s the after-realization of the event that is stronger than the not utilizing the awareness at the moment.

Does any of this make any sense?

      by , 06-27-2010 at 04:10 PM (Serenity's Silver Millennium)
A nice, un-melatonin'ed sleep last night

      11:30p-3:10a
      Raiding

I was in a a raid with my Warcraft guild. I was all first person, and I was me, not a character Anyways, we were in a mine shaft, although it was quite well lit. I remember us finding our way around, and doing quite well at killing the mobs and bosses in there. After we downed the second to last boss, we were quite amazed at the fact that we one-shotted everything today.

I noticed I was straggling behind, so I ran to catch up. As I rounded a corner, I accidentally pulled a mob my guildmates hadn't bothered clearing. I must have been a priest or something, because it only took a couple of defense-less clobbers, and I was down, lol. I sort of blanked out on the beating. I rememeber watching the mob run at me; me shouting, "Careful guys, I accidentally pulled some friends, I'm going to die!"; blacking out, and falling to the ground. However, once I was on the ground, my eyes were open, I could see the dirt and the metal track for the mine cars, but I was paralysed (dead) and couldn't move. I heard my guild leader shout, "Let's get those mobs killed, and rez Serenity," (they actually called me Serenity, and not my real name).

I remember hearing one of the pallies say, "Don't worry, Seren, I got you."

      Short WBTB
I knew I wasn't going to get a full sleep (I actually only had about 3 hours left in my night, at this point), but I thought I would do a quick thing, anyways. I sat on my couch and repeated to myself a few times to recognize that dreamy feeling. I imagined that feeling from my last dream. That weightless, yet fluidy motion. I reminded myself to recognize that feeling. Then, I told myself, once I get back in bed, it is meant for sleeping.

      I fell asleep fairly quickly.

      3:10a-6:00a
      Out with Lily

Most of this is lost, but I remember Lily and I were just hanging out with each other. At 5:45a, my alarm rang so I could start my recall. I turned my alarm off and closed my eyes. I re-entered the dream, but I have to describe this, because normally, I don't remember the re-entry. It's a bit like the Pensive from Harry Potter. I saw my dream hovering and hazy before me, much like how daydreams are. Where, you are "in" them, but there always just before you, rather than around you. Then, much like dunking my head in the Pensive, the dream pulled me in and rushed around me, forming up. I lost awareness

Lily was sitting with her co-workers, in a park. They were trying to do a group picture. I realized I was in the shot, and I backed out to watch from the side.

Lily was sitting between two coworkers that were married to each other. The photgrapher asked my friend to kiss the guy. She did so, but she was EXTREMELY uncomfortable with it. There was no false pretenses or anything, but it was all really awkward, nonetheless. The group broke apart and the wife asked Lily to give her a hug. She kept saying, "No, let me hug you, my arms are longer than yours." As they compared arm lengths, my alarm dragged me back out of the dream.

I decided to snooze it for 10 minutes, and see if I could DEILD; knowing what my dream re-entry looks like, now Only, my brain started getting all caught up with the details of getting ready for work and out the door, so it ended up not happening. Ah well!

      *NEW*
I believe this newly recalled bit happened in the 3am-6am stretch.

I was with my family, walking through a woodsy area. While the setting itself was unfamiliar, we stumbled upon a familiar set of houses. It is one of my old childhood houses! The siding on the wall is as hideous as I remember (brown vinyl on the first floor, off-white vinyl for the second floor. I know, you're sitting there asking yourself, "Why would someone DO that?!" I don't have an answer for you. They just did). All the houses looked abandoned and basically just left there to fall into disrepair.

I was trying to take pictures of the house with my cell phone camera, but the pictures kept coming out really terrible-looking. Either I couldn't get the full house in; or my finger was covering it; it was blurry, you name it. Mike was trying to grab my phone and take the picture himself. My dad was telling us to hurry up so we can leave.

    10. A few dream fragments

      [Dream in blue.]
      [Lucid in red.]
      [Nightmare in pink.]
      [Non-dream in normal.]

      #1:

I was in my computer room with my mom and we were talking about something. I can't remember what. Then I said, "I'll show you!" I closed my eyes, opened them again, clapped my hands and something appeared (I don't know what). My mom asked how I did it and I said I lucid dreamed and made it appear! She was all impressed but when I tried again I failed due to the false awakening

      #2:

I was moving away to college, moving into a dorm. Again, I don't remember much, but I remember that once I moved in, my dorm was about the size of our downstairs toilet. Which is about four foot by six foot. And I was being dripped on because the roof was damp and wet.

      #3

For some reason, I'm playing the Sims 3. And one of my sims was writing, but didn't use the computer. Instead, he wrote by hand and there were all these pieces of paper on his bedside table. But the publisher wouldn't have it and demanded he wrote it less fragmentedly on the computer.

      ...Wtf.

      Great Catch (Fragment) (Non-lucid)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

A guy I used to know was gearing up to take a penalty kick at me. I was in nets with my arms by my sides. He took a run up and kicked. I put my hands up and caught it about two inches from my chest, without taking a step or even blinking. Needless to say, I felt awesome. I threw the ball down casually and walked off with a ridiculous swagger.

      Fishbowl (DILD)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

I was out the front of a supermarket with a few friends. The supermarket was situated on the edge of an area of rock pools, the kind you get at rocky beaches. There were some areas covered in slimy green seaweed and moss, other areas where there were deep pools, and some bare black rocks. Me and my friend Mark were waiting on the edge of the rock pools for a few other people to finish up inside. A few minutes later, the rest of our group came outside, and we started heading across the rock pools.

Somebody was carrying a large round fishbowl with a single small fish in it. The fish was orange and about an inch long. It was flatter than a goldfish, with a bigger tail. The guy carrying it tried to hand it off to me, but I just looked at him and shook my head. There's no way I was going to carry that over this terrain! Plus he bought it, his responsibility! We started making our way over the rocks. I turned to Mark and said,
"Fuck, it's like the dead marshes in Lord of the Rings." Soon somebody stumbled with the fishbowl and the fish fell into a small rock pool. We spent five minutes trying to scoop the fish up and chasing it around the pool. My jeans got soaked up to the knees. Eventually it stopped for a second and I grabbed it. I put it back in the bowl.

I tried to keep up with the rest of the group by taking shortcuts and cutting corners, but no matter what I did, they always stayed ahead of me. At the bottom of the rock pool area was a fast-flowing stream. It looked almost artificial because the surface the water was flowing across was so flat. One of my friends started walking along it, and I said,
"You might be better to sit down and let it carry you!" No sooner had I said this than his feet slipped out from under him and he went on his ass, thanks to the slippery seaweed. I carefully made my way over to the stream and suddenly realised I was wearing swimming shorts.
This turned me lucid. I sat down in the stream and was immediately carried off at quite high speed. The stream was becoming like a water slide. Further ahead, I could see that the slide just ended with a drop into a river far below. Above the drop was a bridge that my friend Darren was crossing. I pushed myself along and lay down to increase my speed, and soon I flew off the edge. Everything went into slow-mo. I whipped round in the air to wave at Darren and make a "whoop" sound, then did a backflip before hitting the water. The river was much faster-flowing that the stream above. It led underground and round a corner to the right, then just stopped. The water drained away through a grate, and I was in a large room not unlike my old school assembly hall. Lost lucidity around here. There was a strange bluish tint to the light in the room, and there were three boxing rings at my end. I ended up refereeing a boxing match which looked a lot like Street Fighter, except real- and I looked like a massive wolf in clothes. At one point in the fight I got bored, and jumped in with a headbutt which sent the guy flying.

      Soul Man (Non-lucid)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

I should have written this earlier! I've got scrappy notes for this dream but can't remember the details. My recall had gone to shit lately, I need to step up my game!

I was dressed like Ezio, the assassin from the game "Assassin's Creed 2". I was fighting a group of guys with spears outside the entrance to some underground casino. The entrance was an archway carved out of purple rock, leading slightly underground. I was fighting with a short blade, and just about keeping them off me. They soon gained the upper hand and I was forced to use my secret weapon- poisonous snakes. I reached into my white robe and pulled out a handful of foot-long, bright green snakes and flung them in the faces of my assailants. They screamed with fear and thrashed around trying to get the snakes off. I used this opportunity to go inside.

Farther inside, I walked up to a small booth, separate from the rest of the attractions. Behind the window was a grim-reaper type figure. He had the black cloak, hood, scythe, and of course, skeletal body. Above the window, a sign said, "Soul Man". I spoke to him for a while, and found out I needed to pay him in "souls" for his services. I told him he would likely find a spare soul or two on the (probably dead) guys out the front. He nodded his assent. I never found out what he wanted them for, or in exchange for what... :S

I moved on to an ice-cream bar. But this was no ordinary ice-cream. It was the nicest, most sugary-sweet, colourful, best-packaged ice-cream I have ever seen. While I was waiting in line for some, I even turned to the guy next to me and said,
"I can't believe ice-cream this good even exists!" -before I had even tasted it.

      Rat's Nest (WBTB)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

I managed a small, semi-stable WILD this morning. It was punctuated by several false awakenings. Recall is terrible. I should have written down some dreams from before the WILD. Now it's waay later on, and I can barely even remember the WILD, never mind the non-lucids before...

The first thing I remember is a false awakening in my own bed. I felt what I assumed was the cat walking up the bed from the bottom. Except there were two of them. And the one on the right felt much more like a snake. A massive, heavy snake. Part of me nearly shat itself, but then I remembered that my door wasn't even open, so the cat couldn't have got in. Then I remembered I was trying to LD, making the "door closed" theory irrelevant anyway.

The next FA occurred in a four-poster bed on top of a platform, in the Halo 3 multiplayer level, Rat's Nest. The difference was that the indoor sections were much tighter than in the game. I got up and walked downhill to the open-air part, where a girl appeared out of nowhere and took me by the hand. She led me back up the hill and through a door I hadn't noticed before.

We were now in a strange house. It was decorated like an old couple lived there. I tried to speak, but I had the same problem as before. My mouth didn't work. I think this might have been because I was asleep on my back with my mouth wide open, unlike normal- so this must have carried through. I tried to say,
"What are we doing here?" She answered anyway, telling me that somebody upstairs wanted to talk to me. I ran up the pine wood staircase, to the third floor, and went into a bedroom. There was a naked girl lying on her front reading on the bed.
"Shit! Sorry!" I said, as I turned and exited. (Prob. semi-lucid here)

Another FA in my bed again. The cat was back, and it crawled up to my face. Then it turned into the girl from before.
"Sweet!" I said retardedly, with my mouth hanging open.
Right then my asshole brother came into my room, turned on the light and started talking crap in my ear.

If you've ever played World of Warcraft, you'll know what a "Kodo" is. If not, it's a big dinosaur/rhino creature. Tell ya what:

I was in a large cabin in the mountains. There was really thick snow outside, maybe a few feet deep. I knew I had to go on a trip to some other cabin quite far away, and there was no way I could make it on foot, especially since it had just started snowing heavily again.

      Someone I was staying with
(could have been male, female, young or old, I can't remember the details in this dream!) suggested I take their kodo mount. I turned round and it was right in my face. I was initially terrified- it was the size of an elephant except longer, and covered in thick white fur. Evidentally this was a snowy mountain-adapted kodo. I got some practice riding it up and down the long living room. It was quite difficult to stay on top of, because I was wearing a thick coat and trousers. I had to sit on the hump at the top of the creature's back, and I kept falling forward. I decided it wouldn't be too bad if I fell off since the snow would cushion the fall. The kodo was very obedient, even waiting for me every time I fell off.

      Missing time...

Later on, I was having a shower in the cabin's bathroom. The shower head was attached to the wall above a bath. I was standing in the bath with a shower curtain round the edges. I was washing my hair when the lights went out, and it started to feel like the cabin was moving. I thought nothing of it, and rinsed my hair. I then scrambled around in the darkness looking for shower gel on the floor beside the bath. There were numerous tubes and containers, and I picked something which looked like it could have been a shower gel container. I washed myself with it, rinsed, then stepped out. The lights came back on. I looked at myself in the mirror to discover I was covered in yellow paint. I spent a few minutes rubbing it off my face.
