    1. Dream, no recall

      I had a dream, but I don't remember it. I did when I woke up, but I forgot to write it down.

      [I]So I woke up at 2:22 again for the second time this week.[/I]

      My aunt tells me: (I see her do this as she tells me.)

      I just got in from being outside in the desert... I offered of up the seeds of greatness to the wind gods in remembrance of Bobby.

      I see my aunt in her wheelchair, looking tortured and heartbroken over the death of her son. She has wheeled herself about 15 feet into the desert off the dirt road from our old house in Tucson. She tosses little brown seeds into the air, and they get carried away by the wind.

      [I]I had a dream of the seeds earlier.[/I]

      Seeds are flying through the sky, and land on mountains surrounding a valley. Each one becomes a beautiful flower, and grass grows around it, as if water actually flows out of the flower. Each flower becomes a tree, then, a huge banyan tree with water gushing out of it.

      Bobby pokes his head out of the top of it, and waves at me, grinning.

      America's Got Talent and a Kiss (Non-lucid)

      I was at my grandpa's house with my cousin. He was annoying me, so I lightly punched him in the head. He got really mad at me. I typed FCE on the computer, and it meant fuck. I quickly typed in other words to cover up the FCE. All of a sudden, I was walking down a path. Nick Cannon was announcing stuff about America's Got Talent.


      I had another dream where I was kissed.

    4. Baby Gifts?

      The Big Box (Non-lucid)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

      I was downstairs in my house, and I saw a big blue box on the table. Apparently, it was for me. I went into my room for a while, but my mom knocked on the door. She told me she put all of the gifts for me outside. I went into the backyard and saw something huge. I couldn't tell what it was. I went back inside and went downstairs. A lot of my old toys were down there, and my dad was playing Minority Report. I told my sister the box was opened. We went upstairs and took a flashlight out of the closet. Pokeballs were on the top shelf.

      We went outside and turned on the flashlight. Somehow, this triggered the sun to rise. One of the gifts outside was a giant ball launcher. The only problem was, the balls disappeared when they were put into the launcher. I also had some kid toy car thing. Apparently, it was worth a few thousand dollars. Other kid toys were in my backyard too.

      I walked around my house, but I somehow walked around an apartment complex. I walked to my cousin's grandparent's house. My sister and cousin were sitting outside. His grandpa told me about these dogs that wave to people as they pass by.

    5. Night of 8/18-8/19

      I've got a few fragments to record, unfortunately I ran into a problem wherein I woke up perfectly to remember them, thought about the dreams enough to crystallize them somewhat (or at least for sure the fragments I'm about to write down), but then I intentionally neglected to get up to write them down. This is something to work on overcoming in the future. I was reluctant to get up under the justification that it was sort of the middle of the work week and I was too tired to get up and write for a while to justify doing it. Plus some of the subject matter of the first one made me reluctant to bother to remember it at all (in fact, although I feel it's beneficial to write as much detail as I can remember, I'd still kind of rather any readers skip over this post). I would like to congratulate myself on the noticeably improved dream recall though, it's amazing what just a little effort can do to go a long way towards awakening at the end of dreams and remembering plenty of detail.

      So here we go. As usually I'll try to keep it as chronologically in order as possible.

      The next one was a shorter fragment. I was with my immediate family. Everything seemed kind of retrograde; my brother was younger and both my parents were heavier as though it was before they both had gastric bypasses. We walked through a small junkyard into the waiting room of what looked like a car repair shop, but was apparently a combination car repair shop/walk-in clinic. Everyone sat down in a chair to wait but me; I paced around the room being annoyed and angry that once again people I'd known for years had nothing but contempt and disregard for my medical opinion. At some point I noticed my mother was missing a foot, and I thought, "Diabetes." Curiously, she was still able to walk fine despite the missing/invisible foot. She got up to ask the receptionist what was taking so long, she sounded frustrated, in pain, and desperate. She then went and sat down at a different spot. She was trying to partially cover her face with her coat, but I noticed she was crying. I continued pacing around and making mental notes about my family members until the dream ended.

      One last quick note: just went to start breakfast and I remembered one more super short fragment wherein I noticed that the free expired 2-liter bottle of Dr. Pepper I brought home from work a few days ago expired in 1995.

    6. Mocking on the Sidewalk

      I was walking along the left sidewalk of some neighborhood during the day; there was a flat wooden fence on my left, the road on my right, and then another fence. Beyond the fences were houses and trees. The road didn't have yellow markers on it, as it usually doesn't in my dreams.

      Two of my classmates were walking with me. As we walked, two boys passed us on the sidewalk across the street, not looking at us. They were pretty fat! Both were wearing grey t-shirts and baggy jeans, and the one in front was taller than the one walking behind him, who was probably only around four feet. This guy in the back was wearing a brown baseball cap, and rapping or doing some weird thing. One of the people I was walking with came up to me and I recognized her as one of the people I don't like. I mentally questioned why I was with her, but I didn't become lucid.

      She said pretty much out loud, "that guy's probably one to shoot you if you start making fun of him," and then continued to make fun of him. "Yo, yo, yo," she added mockingly in a deep voice, louder this time. The boys didn't even look at us even though she was shouting now.

      Had a MILD-1 class again last night. When I woke up after only 3 hours of sleep I couldn't remember much from my dreams except for:

      I'm in a huge imaginary city, together with a Highschool mate of mine. We're going to a festival, but I've got a broken bike and he's got sore feet from his rollerskates. Going strong >_<.

      This dream is from when I awoke this morning. Apparently I continued my previous dream.

      The festival is over. My mate's gone and so is my bike. On my way home I encounter an old lady that can't seem to find her own home anymore. She tells me she lives in a street called the Bokken (which would translate to Bucks in english, the animals). I tell her I know where that is and lead here home. It felt like quite a time before we got there, but dreams can be deceivable like that. In the end we arrived at the Bokken though, a street on the bank of a gracht. I remember the entire scene had a yellowy sepia filter over it. On the bank were four copper alligator statues, but I didn't pay them much attention.
      Fast forward and I'm a secret agent together with two of my housemates. We're still in the vicinity of the Bokken, but at a small public square. No one's there except us. I spot a laptop and a small beamer on a bench and walk towards them. As soon as I touch them I know this is a laptop from a female spy of our 'enemy corporation' and I decide to hack it. We're after an (unknown) item and this laptop could very well tell us where it is. It runs on windows 98 and takes a couple of minutes before I extract the information: that we need to infiltrate the house of this spy and retrieve our item there.
      Fortunately, his house is very close and no one's home. We enter, go upstairs to her room and search for the item. One of my colleagues finds it and he leaves together with my other colleague as backup. I'm to remove our traces and follow them later on. Whilst doing that I hear she-spy coming home and going upstairs. The room has two doors and I hide against the wall of one of the doors. She-spy enters through the other door and I try to make my escape. She's too fast though and knocks me down on the head. Game over.

      Fortunately I can try again (wtf?!). I find myself hiding against the wall again, but this time she enters through this door. I rapidly bash the door against her head and make my escape. Outside I find myself in a
      semi-lucid dream where I jump over hedges. I know I can decide what hedge to jump over. Sometimes the dream 'doesn't listen', but I do have the sense of control. Quickly lost that, though.
      I reunite with my colleagues at the four alligator statues in the Bokken. Apparently we're to use the item in combination with one of the statues but agent H tells me it isn't working. I quickly check an online FAQ and it says we forgot to rub the statue with a special type of oil. We don't have that though and neither do we have the time, because the enemies have found us. It's time to prepare for the final battle. Slowly the scene around me changes into a psychedelic disco painting. Afterwards it doesn't make sense at all, but in my dream it was perfectly logical. People killing each other of to get that item, the environment turning and twisting around us. In the end, I passed away too and woke up.

    8. August 19th - Remembering a dream in a dream yay

      I was at my grandmothers place and I had to give a test on sunday, huh? then I said I had to go somewhere, I was on a bus afterwards and I saw HH a workmate he was angry because the bus wasn't going where he wanted. Then I remember seeing a building and saying, wow that reminds me of another dream I had were I was at this absolutely gigantic dome where I flew from one country to another ( very large distances ) . I said it was identical then I looked again and said well not really but the top is very similar.

      I find myself living with the family of a so-called Sophie and her two brothers (one older, one younger). In their backyard they've build a roller-coaster and are now responsible for its daily maintenance. I came to live with them to help with that task and I feel it's quite an honour. First things first, we've got to get onto the track. Apparently the didn't think about building a staircase for that, so each day we've got to perform some magic trick which involves repeatedly drawing figures in the air with your finger. It creates hot air rising up in the backyard that you can ride and get to the coaster. After practicing my magic in the attic for a while, I get permission to have my first look at the coaster. I get to wear some rubber braces (protection? Although I'm not suspended by any cord) and ride the hot air.
      The track's entirely white and more of a tangled mess than any real roller-coaster would be. The first thing we - Sophie, her little brother and I - do is walk through the entire ride, literally. I can also vividly remember the ride went below ground level (Sophie and co did some digging) and they covered the earth walls with sloppy placed tilework. It looked something like this, only...sloppier:

    10. "I'm saving myself for someone who doesn't think I'm just a dream."

      I haven't posted any dream journals lately, mainly because the activity has gotten too repetitive and annoying for me to do. However, this dream requires me to tell... Somebody about it.

      I can't exactly recall how I got to this point. I remember it was sort of middle ages/Renaissance urban setting. I think I had committed some crime, and was being tasked to eliminate rats in at first a barn, but then my dream demorphed it to just around the city. It's at night, too.

      Somewhere along the line, I find a tall building, with an entrance near the top. A girl lets down a rope-ladder from the entrance. I start climbing, because I think this place will grant me a better position to eliminate rats from.

      However, when I get into the tower or whatever it is (I'm in an attic-like space. Tall ceiling. Rather large. The girl has a netting over a hole in the floor (That descends all the way to the bottom... Tough fall.) that I guess acts as her bed.) the beauty of the girl literally jars me into semi-lucidity. Holy shit I think this might be the girl I'd seen in my dreams from long ago. Sure the hair is different...

      Okay, background time.

      A few years ago, I had two dreams, maybe a week or a month apart, where I saw the same girl. All I remember is she had a knee-length white dress, and had long, flowing, beautiful brown hair. Also that she was the most radiant being I had ever met in my entire life.

      The first dream we were in a modern, dark urban setting. We were in an alleyway I think, and we were running from something.

      The second dream were on a Japanese-style levee, sitting on the grass next to the river. She stood up at one point, and had sandals in her hands.

      I never saw her face.

      This girl's hair wasn't brown, now either blonde or white or some combination thereof, but I'm not sure that means anything. Especially since I think her name may very well be "Change". I don't remember her name exactly, but I'm certain it starts with a C and is very short. For some reason, Change sticks in my mind even though part of me knows that can't be it.

      Anyways, back to the now dream.

      My memory is a bit foggy on exactly what happens, but I sit down and start complaining about things. About the dream I was just in (For some reason, the idea that I've entered a sort of "dream bubble" comes to mind here.), about the dreams I had been in during the night, and about my real life. She listens and talks about it with me. Somewhere along the line, she goes to the other side of a plastic wall that has appeared.

      After a while, I kiss the wall at a random spot. I then realize she has her lips touching somewhere on the other side of the wall. I go to kiss that spot, thinking it might be a first kiss, but as I kiss her through the plastic, I realize that I've done this many times before.

      Cut to us in some sort of bed, in the same attic, morning, but where the netting was before. We're cuddling together, she's on top of me. Clothes are on people, don't worry.

      I go to try to kiss her on the lips (Rather than through plastic. Think Pushing Daisies her, people.) but she refuses. I am then reminded as to why.

      I have only ever thought of her as a dream. She refuses to be with any man who thinks of her only as a dream.

      She is saving herself for someone who doesn't think she's just a dream.

      While we may both be in love with each other, which is why she kisses me through plastic, she refuses to go beyond physical cuddling with me, because I'm not willing to love her as more than a dream.

      Somewhere along the line, I think near the end of the dream, she tells me to stay a little longer. That I don't need to head back to the real world just yet. I think we've been laying there for a while. Hours, maybe. I'm not certain. My memory is unfortunately more foggy for this dream than I would have liked. For some reason, I tell her I can't. That I have to go. I'm not certain if I knew then that this was untrue. I could have stayed with her for as long as I liked. I simply needed to will myself to stay in the dream.

      But the dream surely enough fades out sometime after this.

      That girl is dear and precious to me, I now realize. I may only have three memories of her, but for some reason I feel like I've known her forever. I love Change, if that is her real name. I think I love her more than I've ever loved a "real" girl.

      But... It's not even that I don't care if she's a dream or not. It's that I still think of her as a dream. What do I have to do to finally have her love, then? Abandon this world? Truly accept dreams as another reality? Or maybe she's not a dream character at all, but an actual, independent entity that enters my dreams?

      *sigh*

      Well, I'll be looking for answers in my next dreams.

      P.S. I had many other dreams (About three or four or so) besides this one last night, but I'm only relating this one because it had the most profound impact on me.

      If anybody has any comments on it, please, tell me about them. I would love to see what people think about this dream.

    12. Various things

      At first I dreamed of minecraft. We had a new map on the pallkars server which we explored. You were able to view it as a map. I remember thinking that the water on the map was too spread out evenly. No huuuge oceans and no huuuge landmasses. Only randomly placed water here and there.

      After that I dreamed that me and a couple of friends had sneaked into the culverts of a hospital. There were empty corridors with branching doors here and there. Some of them were made of armoured glass and some were locked. We weren't allowed to be there and we hoped no one would find us. What we were doing there was to "fix" the place a bit. I don't remember for what reason but I for instance painted the wall so that it looked nicer (All though I had no paint so I had to use my hands by licking on my hands and stroking them over the wall so that they became wet. Then they got a darker colour, lol.).

      A while later we went up from the culverts and got into some kind of school. We were spotted by an old teacher I had back in primary school. He didn't see to care though. I don't remember really what happened then.

      I was sitting at my PC writing down the dream about the culverts into this DJ (this was still a dream). <--Very vague memories of this part

      There was something about how I was planning on taking some extra courses along with my program because the extra courses was really easy. They were about extended python programming and basic PHP.

      Then there was a part in which I was at my grandpa's place (he lives in the mountains near norway). I was lying in a bed there. I got up to go to the bathroom. First I was going to drink water from the tap in there. I thought about how cold and fresh the water always is at their place. The water was quite nasty though because there was some brown slime coming out of the tap sometimes along with the water and I drank only a little. Then I was going to use the toilet, but that didn't seem nice either since the bathroom had many windows without any cover and my grandpa was working on something just next to them, lol. I tried to cover the windows with some curtains but they were semi transparent anyway.
    13. Quasimodo's altered life

      I was Quasimodo in an alternated universe. Frollo wasn't so bad. He was understanding, and really did want to protect Quasimodo from horrid attitudes. (He had a complete personality change..!) Unfortunately he had another adopted son who was extremely jealous, and made certain things weren't much better in this universe. He kept trying to get Quasimodo in trouble with Frollo. Upon seeing just how that was impossible to do, he decided to take matters into his own hands. When Quasimodo was ringing the bells the other son knocked him out from behind with some piece of wood. He glanced around, and then threw Quasimodo's unconscious form out of the bell tower's window. He then took his place, ringing the bells. That is when frantic screams were heard, as they found Quasimodo's dead body.
    14. Inception "Totems"

      I came across a discussion about this, and I thought I'd put down some of my ideas for good "totems". First off, a "totem" is a device or personal affect that only the owner thoroughly understands that is used as a means of separating the dream world from the real one. I've used "totems" for years as a for of reality checking, only I referred to them as charms

      #1 - Rosary
      One I used myself was a rosary with a few specifics...
      • rose scented beads
      • a small hole drilled into every third bead
      • a pewter crucifix with a sterling silver dove for a hail holy queen bead
      • the 10th bead of the 4th decade was missing
      • the dove was attached with gold chain links - all the others were silver
      • INRI was inscribed upside-down on the cross


      #2 Matchbox Car
      Another one I used myself with fair success was a 1976 Metal Canary yellow jeep wrangler car with an angel wings decal on the hood.
      • It sat on it's axel wrong so it wobbled
      • it drifted to one side when pushed
      • had a specific model number on the bottom


      #3 Weighted Turtle
      The third one I used was a pewter turtle with a jade shell.
      • I was the only one who knew how it was weighted
      • Only I knew about the small heart etched on it's underside


      #4 Spoon
      • Ever seen a waitress check her reflection in a spoon? The concave side turns the reflection upside-down - if it's right-side-up, you're dreaming!


      #5 Marble
      • Flatten one edge of a marble. Be careful to do it not so it's obvious at plain sight, but that when the marble is gently rolled it will come to rest on it's own accord.
    15. Hawaii mixed with New York

      My mom, Uncle Nick, and I had dinner at a restaurant. As I was expecting, my Uncle Nick ordered a pretty expensive drink. Next thing I know, I'm in a big city in Molokai (which is strange because in real life, Molokai is only made up a few towns and not many people.) There were bridges, skyscrapers, the whole deal. The next scene I remember, I'm back in the house I previously lived in, in New York. My mom and I put our cat Chanel on top of these strange large sheets of paper, each dedicated to a specific Hawaiian Island. She walked around on them, and it seemed to make it feel like she was actually walking on the island itself. I didn't want her walking all over Lanai so I took her off of it. I got out of the house and walked across the street, and I noticed a semi-secretive watch-house, which has cameras pointing directly at my house. I did not feel comfortable entering, so I moved on to the next house, which happened to be Carol's house... I walked in and I saw tons of my friends from here (Hawaii) inside. I was curious as to why so many were in there, turns out, some billionaire was in the house. I saw him, but I didn't go crazy over it. Then all of a sudden, someone asked where Carol's mailbox is, so I mentioned that it was to the right of the driveway. Then all of a sudden, some kid starts nagging on me about how I made these YouTube videos in 3rd grade about geography lessons and they were boring. Later, I log on my computer and I see that there actually are geography videos I made on YouTube, and also another video with some of my friends saying "Hi!" Then I realized that I left my Sidekick cell phone in Carol's house 3 years ago, so I ran back in and I checked under one of the chair cushions.. sure enough, there it was! The internet loaded up right away, and I was worried that my parents would be charged for the bill. Next door to Carol's house was an Ice Cream Shop. I went with one of my friends, and immediately walked out after seeing how unpleasing the ice cream looked. Later on, I was in an arcade (I don't remember how or why I came here) and I decided to play DDR. I start playing, and some song is already preselected, and it's DIFFICULT. I did terrible and failed on the last few arrows pretty much, and some kids were making some side-comments. So, I started the game again, and I played Fantasy by Melissa (on heavy) but I forgot to speed up the arrows. Now it was very difficult, because the arrows just came in cluttered groups, but for some reason.. I hit all of the arrows. My feet were moving rapidly on all of the arrows, and I was doing great. But for some reason, I was hitting most of them early, and it was counting them.
