    1. Failed PBild- First Post!

      by , 03-12-2011 at 08:23 PM
First Post in the dream journal, and newold revelations.

Lately, I've been having very vivid, very realistic non-lucid dreams. And because of spring break, I've been able to focus more on lucid dreaming. I have decided to honor my New Year's resolution and really make more of an effort with lucid dreaming. In the past, I have put forth little but some effort and have gotten a nice response.. So I'm certain if I put forth the effort that I SHOULD toward lucid dreaming, that I could do amazing things. And honestly? It's worth it. It's MORE than worth it. Any little thing I do in my waking life to secure having ample time in my dream world to do the things I can't or only dream of doing is not just worth it.. But it has almost become a necessity. Not only do I NEED this, but I want this more than anything, and I know I can do it. I know I can open my inner eyes to this new world, so it's time to get started.

And the first step? Dream Journaling.

Preparation: Last night, I decided to try a PBild. This really isn't a technique, but a great excuse to eat peanut butter before bed :]. I ate half a sandwich while reading a book, and the other half shortly thereafter before laying down. I also had my nightly Multivitamin + B12 + Fish Oil + Cinnamon.

My Recall: Minimal: Lately I've had incredible recall, anywhere from 1-4 full-blown dreams a night. Last night I must have been too tired, or too something.
I had a false awakening at around 8 am. I could feel myself waking up, and I had thought that I turned to look at my clock to see that it was almost noon. I remember thinking "Crap.. Well, so much for that DEILD, I moved! And bummer, I didn't get to lucid!" Then, I really turned over, and saw that it was only 8.
I was super bummed for about a minute, thinking I had ruined my chances, but I got up to go to the bathroom and thought about performing a WBTB or a mixture. I repeated: "My mind will stay conscious as my body falls to sleep. I will realize when I am dreaming.." And quickly fell to sleep. =/
Dream: It wasn't really much of a dream, and a non-lucid one at that. I'm sure that there was more to it, but the part that I remember was walking in my mom's room and seeing my mom and brother watching TV. I remember bounding in and jumping over my brother to sandwich myself in between the two.. And that's about it. Not much of a night for dreaming. =/
Edit: I also remember my mother telling me not to dump something on the new tile. xD Yep, tres interesting.

    2. On Stage

by , 03-12-2011 at 08:00 PM (The Vault)
I don't remember much of this one, but it had to do with my college friends, my home friends, and playing in a band on stage.

I used to jam with some of my friends (I play guitar but just as a hobby) and we would joke about making an actual band one day. In this dream it had come true and we were standing in front of an auditorium of people. However, my friends who were in the band kept changing around into different people between my college friends and my home friends.

Anyway, I suddenly realized we hadn't practiced or prepared any songs to play. I panic and ask one of the band members about this. We agree to just improvise.

So, the band starts playing and I just mess around with some chords and scales and it actually sounds good. I get into it and keep playing as it sounds better and better. We sound like professionals and I'm having a blast. This continues for a few minutes but then I realize everyone else in the band has stopped playing. I stop, we all look at each other kind of funny and then the singer jumps back in and we start playing again.

    3. Fragmented too late written entry... ...and ball-llama merchants selling top-tech.

      by , 03-12-2011 at 07:27 PM
There was old military bases and strange llama-ball creature which sold me the Instinct Leash from the Bulletstorm.
Later i used the leash to pull some charging enemies over the edge to their death, little later i was told that they were same type of llama-ball merchants as the one i bought my leash from.

An over zealous mall cop tries to run me in and follows me around my neighborhood at night for being involved with a little girl. The cop was female and rather short.

    5. Memória ruim. =/

      by , 03-12-2011 at 05:48 PM
Eu estava tendo progresso, poxa... T_T

    6. My dream storage room

      by , 03-12-2011 at 05:38 PM
I have been using visualisation to enter dreams for ages, but usually not to induce lucid dreams (as I haven't had any lucid dreams since growing up).
I tried that however this morning. After 9 hours sleep I got up for a couple of minutes and then went back to bed to intentionally visualise my way into my personal dream world. And I was successful - up to a point

      Here is what I did:
I got comfortable in my bed. Then I started to visualise...
I entered a big vast room with hundreds of thousands crystal orbs suspended in the air all over the room. For a while I wandered around the room looking into some of the orbs - catching a glimpse here and there. This is my dream storage room!
Because there were so many orbs it would take me ages to look and examine each one. So I looked around to find a way to identify one that I remembered and wanted to enter. And Lo and behold there was a computer touch screen on one of the walls nearby. I moved towards it and discovered that it listed all my dreams. I could select one of them (could even search) or choose to create a new one.
First I tried it with a recent dream I wanted to revisit.
I identified it as it was labeled the same as in my dream journal. After selecting it I detected a glowing orb some steps away from me. I walked over and looked into it. It was the correct dream. I knew I had to continue looking into the orb, focussing on it and the pulsating glow to enter the dream. But somehow I couldn't go through with it. I got distracted by other remembered dreams that I could have chosen instead.
So I tried it with a "new" dream. Another orb started to glow and as I looked into it all I could see was white. I focussed on it and the pulsating glow and suddenly with a "plop" (short bursting sound) I found myself falling to the white nothingness. It looked like a white canvas all around me ready to create a dreamscape. I was standing in there and wondered for quite some time what I wanted to create, but unfortunately I couldn't decide among all the different scenarios I had designed in my waking life. Then I was startled awake by some noise outside.

Maybe I should add a "random" button to the screen just to make it easier to enter not-remembered dreams.

    7. Hair Poetry

      by , 03-12-2011 at 05:13 PM (* The Sandman's Dream Journal o/***)
A girl was reading some poetry I wrote for a girlfriend over 20 years ago. I wanted to read it, so she gave it to me. I couldn't read the words. I noticed it was in a faded red folder. In my dream I had given my old girl friend these poems in a red folder, so I was concerned that it was her folder and had faded, and now my old girlfriend didn't have the folder anymore.

Another friend of mine appeared behind me. He said it was his copy. That could have made since even in waking life, so that was cool.

I started trying to read the poem again, but now the words were written in hair. A braid of hair glued to a basket. Another person and I started inspecting the hair closely to. We were looking for a break to distinguish one word from another.

At this point, the paper becomes a basket with wedge sections. The braided hair is cord on the top edge of the basket. I lift up a wedge to find the break between words and find the basket is stuffed with fluff.

I never could figure out what the hair said. (Imagine that!)

    8. Wahey another (admittedly fragmented) lucid!

      by , 03-12-2011 at 05:02 PM
I was extremely, stupidly drunk last night so my recall for this isn't perfect but I'm still ecstatic nontheless.

I remember having a false awakening and I immediately could just feel that I was dreaming. I jumped off the end of the bed and stopped a foot off the ground to prove it to myself. I also recall searching for my dream guide and think I was almost successful. I remember grabbing at somebodies arm through a mirror after shouting "Dream Guide", but unfortunately didn't hold on hard enough. I also recall teleporting myself to a location that I have designed in waking life where I believe my dream guide will be. It was on the top of a hill overlooking the sea, although wasn't 100% accurate. I knew that I had to find a motorbike and think that I did but can't recall for certain.

    9. Mess? No Problem - Kidnapped and Made to do Bad Things with Love

      by , 03-12-2011 at 04:36 PM (* The Sandman's Dream Journal o/***)
Side note: I forgot my dreams from yesterday, but remembered this morning going through my routine...

Fragment: We have a top-fill type water filter that also stores the water. My wife had gotten some and left the lever down so water was spilling everywhere. I told her about it and she didn't bother to turn around and flip the switch back up.

      --

Fragment: I was being held by these people who were going to make me do bad stuff (don't know what. ?) I was pretty upset about it. All of a sudden we were outside. It was a beautiful sunny day, though I didn't see detail.

The lady in charge gave me a thick chicken salad sandwich on toasted wheat bread. I felt love with that sandwich. I told her that I know I still have to do things.

I am riding around with several friends in a large crew-cab truck with a load of butcher block boards in the bed. As we drive by a theater, one of my friends suggests that we stop and watch an interesting movie that's posted on the board. I recommend that we first stop by the garage and unload before going to the theater. I drive into an alley and back up beside the garage. I get out and start unloading the truck while everyone else just sits there dumbfounded. I stack the first armload of lumber by the garage, then look back at the truck. The front half of the truck is a Volkswagen Beetle and the rear half is a dully with a large stake body flat bed.

I wake up suddenly, perhaps from a combination of the shock from the odd appearance of the truck jolting me into lucidity and it being around my normal wakeup time.

    11. Merging Bodies

by , 03-12-2011 at 04:23 PM (...from the dark corners of my mind...)
      DJ Log: March 12, 2011 – ~4:15AM (USA Eastern)
      Text color legend: · NON-DREAM · NOTES · DREAM · LUCID ·

I am laying naked on my bed, trying to read a book with very small text. I rotate the book in several different directions, but the text is totally impossible to read. Just as I put the book down, a young guy with long blonde hair walks into my room and says, “It's time for your meltdown.” As I am look for my alarm clock which is not there, I reply, “Isn't it a bit early?” He says, “No, certainly not.” After giving me a strange look, he climbs up on the bed and says, “Roll over, then cross your arms under your chest and bring your hands up and out from under your shoulders.” As I do this, he lays down on my back and grabs both of my hands. His hair is hanging down past my face.

He slowly lifts my upper section slightly off the bed by my arms, holds me up for a few seconds, then lowers me slowly back onto the bed. I can feel his body get very warm as his aura combines with mine. He lifts me a second time and I begin to feel a warm and tingling sensation through my back and shoulders as I am being lowered back to the bed. When he lowers me the third time, the sensation becomes stronger and travels all the way down my legs. On the fourth lift, his legs melt down through me and become part of mine. When he lowers me, the rest of his body melts down and becomes part of mine. As we are merging, I can feel my internal organs shifting around to make room for an extra set. This is quite a strange feeling, but it doesn't hurt or anything.

Somehow, I come to my senses and become lucid. I roll off my bed and walk out of my room. As soon as I walk through the doorway, I lose my lucidity and the dream.

One of these fine days I will learn to take a moment and stabilize every time I become lucid. I'm certain that I was starting to aim for lucidity twice in the beginning of this dream; once when I couldn't read the text of the book, and a second time when I couldn't find my alarm clock. This is not the first time I have missed several clearly obvious dream signs, and it certainly won't be the last.

I don't recall waking up directly from this one. There were a couple of dreams after this one, but I don't have much recall of them. This is the one that stood out from the rest in my memory and I think I lost the others while recalling and writing this one.

I woke up briefly and as I returned to sleep I felt SP trying to kick in. I went with it and soon SP had fully set in. There seemed to be no HI of any kind. There was a lot of noise...a familiar buzzing with a lot of muffle conversation. Several times the conversation volume grew to shouting levels, but I couldn't understand any words that were said. I soon felt my self rolling around my room. Once the rolling stopped, I stood up with quite a bit of difficulty.

The dream was quite blurry and everything seemed to be moving slightly (as if I were dizzy). I attempted to stabilize, but had considerable trouble clearing things up. I managed to get the dream decently stable and I walked to my front door and exited onto the porch. Upon exiting the house, the dream was fuzzy once again. I tried to stabilize, but nothing seemed to be working. I jumped off the porch and when I landed the the entire environment shook violently. I got the dizzy feeling and everything was blurry and mixing together. I stumbled my way down to the truck sitting in the driveway. I started rubbing the truck and smelling the air. I couldn't smell anything. I could hear a slight buzzing in my ear and I took a deep inhale and tasted the air. I couldn't taste anything either. After applying all 5 senses with a little focus, the dream cleared up a little bit.

It was still relatively fuzzy as I attempted to walk forward and immediately began spinning in circles. I couldn't stop it on my own, so I grabbed hold of the truck once again and I stopped spinning. I kept thinking, "WTF is going on here? Haven't had a dream this unstable in a while." The dream was once again so blurry that I could barely make out the environment. I jumped into the air and attempted to take flight, but just kind of hung in mid-air for a bit. The dream immediately became crystal clear as I was hanging in the air. I could move my body, but I couldn't move in any direction. I flailed around in the air for a while and attempted to force myself forward. This struggle lead to me waking up in bed.

    14. Specimen slugs

by , 03-12-2011 at 03:31 PM (My Sleepy Mind 2010/2011)
      Original Date: 3/12/2011
      Type: Fragment/Non Lucid
      Dream:

I walked into a kitchen, the room was dark, it was nighttime. I had just left my boyfriend/husband in the other room. I opened the refrigerator door to put something in/take something out (can't remember), but when I went to close the door, it would not close. I tried again and same thing, it wouldn't close like something was sticking out and blocking it. So I looked closer. The handle was on the right side, so the door opened to the left. I looked at the lower left corner of the fridge and saw this little external/internal "pipe" that was beige colored but was sort of cut in half so that you could place something into it, like a tiny jar. The closer I looked I realized I couldn't close the door because there was a clear little specimen jar in this little pocket (I remember having this dream a long time back and only seeing this jar), so I pulled it out and put it on a shelf in the fridge where I got a better look at it. At first it was very cloudy and hard to see it clearly, like there was movement inside and I couldn't focus in very well. Then when I could see, there were these 3 thick greyish slug/worm creatures floating in the liquid inside. I remember thinking that this was something that my BF put in the fridge to hide from me. I then looked down and realized that the door wouldn't close because there was a smaller jar, about half the size of the other one, that the first one had been placed on top of and that was why it got stuck in the door. I attempted to pull this one out too, but it somehow ended up on the floor just below it. That's when this one actually turned into the shape of the worm encased inside of it, but the worm was still inside of the jar. This slug was striped with teal/aqua and black horizontal stripes and I could see his eyes staring back at me, it had this glow of light just above in between its eyes. I went to pick it up to put it back in the fridge, but it slithered very fast towards the entryway out of the kitchen, and I felt a tad bit of panic as I didn't want it getting loose in the house. Then the next second it was back in front of me, looking at me with it's glowing patch, then tried to slither away again.

      Curiosity, wonder, fear, panic
