      28th March:
      - Went to Sekolah Musik Amadeus
      - Had orchestra practice in the waiting room
      - Took the lift to the basement
      - The lift seemed more “hotel-like” and fancy/grand
      - When I reached the basement, the lift doors opened to reveal these bright fast-moving yellow lights.
      - It was some sort of MRT station. Got on the MRT.
      - Reached some sort of Winter-Wonderland
      - Got pushed into the icy pool
      - Dried off and walked into a cave
      - The cave was the entrance path to the weightlifting room
      - Saw Bendik doing a dance

    2. SAT grave; punch in the face; little white animal

      by , 03-28-2011 at 11:42 AM
      Good morning, everybody.

      Dream #1

I walked up something like a wooden ramp or a wooden deck that was in front of some kind of run-down beach house or shack made of wood. I may have been in a line with people.

I was now in a classroom. The desks in the classroom seemed all crammed together. We were all preparing for some kind of test like the SATs. I looked up from my study material and saw JW, my old friend from high school, studying for the test.

I made some kind of weird comment in a weird voice that I thought would remind him of our high school days. JW recognized me, but he only ackowledged me briefly and reluctantly. I was a little hurt.

Some voice called from behind me. I turned around. Another friend of mine, who I didn't recognize, was trying to get my attention. This guy was from some more recent time in my life. He may have been overweight, with tan skin, black hair in a ponytail, a goatee, and glasses. I was kind of put out that JW wouldn't talk to me, while this guy would.

Now the test was about to begin. The teacher was doing something. I made some kind of immature joke. The class' and teacher's attention were drawn to me. The teacher may have asked me something. I may have responded with a dumb answer that was a smart alecky way of saying I didn't know anything.

The teacher said, "What a disappointment. I thought you were one of the bright ones. I was looking for someone to give a presentation on how to take this test. I thought it was going to be you. But I guess not, now."

Apparently, we all had to go somewhere else to take the test. We were all walking through some area.

Later, I think I had decided not to take the test after all. I was somewhere that was half outside and half inside. I stood on some barren soil. A pit as long as my body and a few feet deep was dug into the soil. I sat down into the pit. I began pulling the dirt down onto myself.

I buried my legs pretty quickly. I started to wonder if I would suffocate if I managed to pull dirt all over my body, which was, I think, my objective. I may have gotten afraid. I may have pulled myself up out of the pit. As I looked down at the soil, the soil may have seemed disgusting to me, like it was feces.

      Dream #2

I was in a high school, walking down the steps of a stairwell. A white kid kind of dressed like a gangster came up the steps and punched me in the face. I dropped my books. The kid kept attacking me, but I tried to ignore him. I picked up my books and walked the rest of the way down the stairs.

I got around a corner, into some place like a classroom. For some reason I looked back out around the corner, into the stairwell. The kid punched me in the face again!

      Dream #3

I was in my bedroom. A strange, white animal was crawling across the floor. It was moving somewhat quickly. I thought it might be a mouse. But it had such a strange look, like a slug.

I was interested in the animal, but I didn't want it in my house. It seemed to be heading out the door of its own accord. I watched it as it approached the door. But just before it got to the door it turned back around.

I now got on the floor and tried to scare the animal away. But I only seemed to make it curious about me. It came closer, so I figured I might as well try to learn what kind of animal it was. It turned out to be very much like a white mouse with grey ears. But something about it still looked not quite right. I wondered if I actually wasn't looking at a baby rat.
    3. 3/27/11 A Bunch of Dream Fragments

      by , 03-28-2011 at 09:38 AM (3/26/11 - ???)
//Well I didn't recall any dreams when I first woke up, but since it was Sunday I just went back to sleep and ended up getting a few random dreams (as opposed to nonrandom ones ).

      Fragment 1:

IN THIRD PERSON. I am driving on the highway at night with some passenger. I can't remember who it was but I can remember that it was a guy because of the voice. While driving, I claim that I don't like exits (meaning exits from the freeway). In a laid-back, cool-guy voice, my passenger responds, "Why not? They let you know when you've arrived." And as if to emphasize this point, the car immediately takes an exit and stops abruptly (it was a very short exit ramp). I wake up.

      Fragment 2:

I am flying on a magic carpet with someone that keeps changing into the Pokemon - Snubble (pic below). We are flying over a perfectly straight river that has a width about twice that of the carpet (so it's pretty skinny). The landscape is made up of many thin, brown mountains with rounded tops (like the ones in DBZ, pic also below). The river goes straight up (no mountain or anything, just on it's own) and then straight down. Our carpet remains parallel to the river the whole time so it feels like a roller coaster as we round the highest point and shoot down. I wake up.

Snubble. I've been playing Soul Silver recently so that might be why he showed up

The mountains were shaped like these, but brown and barren. Also the river in this shot is not like with perfectly straight one in the dream

      Fragment 3:

Me and my senior soc. class are at the beach. Our teacher - Mr. S - says he will offer his wheelchair/pool chair (it changed between the two) to one student a day. I hold some contempt for this teacher and his proposal seemed ridiculous so I said, "Why the hell would we want to do that?" Then I woke up.

Dream (instead of a fragment just because it was longer and more happened):

Me and a ton of people I know from school are in the Japanese room. We are helping Ms. Sh carry food into the computer science lab. Everyone is talking about the soccer game at 5:30. Ms. Sh made multicolored M&M cookies and I am fighting with BBo about who gets all the cookies. (I should mention that every Friday my comp sci class gets donuts, and before every away soccer game the team gets food. So the food in this dream likely has something to do with one of those). Then KA and KS say that they want burgers and fries next Friday, but I say that the tradition is for only the comp sci kids to get food on Fridays. BCh is wearing his football jersey and he says that we all need to change into our soccer gear for the game. Then I woke up.

    4. Morning of March 26, 2011 dream (vague)

      by , 03-28-2011 at 09:11 AM
Don't remember much of this one, as it was 3 days or so ago. What I've got is vague.
Also note that I'm a bit scared of elevators so I can consider this a mild nightmare.

I was in an elevator that ran along the outsides of this high-rise building. The elevator was stainless steel and glass (Think giant glass box or Charlie and the Chocolate Factory). It was pretty sunny out, and there was a man with me in the elevator. I'm sure there were others, I just remember the man best because of his facial expression.
All of a sudden the elevator was near the ground and there was a tsunami type wave. However, the water was clear. It continuously rose and you could see cars and plants under the water through the glass. The water began to leak in through the doors and my Toms shoes got wet. The water was cold and slightly sticky. As it rose inch by inch up the glass walls of the elevator, the man behind me was silent. He wore glasses and had a look of hopelessness.

      That's all I remember.

      Dream (non-lucid) | Lucid dream

      Background:

Yesterday, before going to bed, I watched the whole "American Gangster" movie, which talks a lot about heroine and the US Army.

      Dream:

At the start of my dream, I was an US soldier, and got slightly injured (I fell on my arm). A colleague managed to disinfect the wound and bandage it. We walked for a few seconds and found ourselves on a memorial place, with a few generals; right next to this place was an open-air "holy sanctuary". The sanctuary consisted of a cube from which (if I'm right) a few colons emerged -- eight, I think. Around the cube were "holy" stairs, on which I walked on with my dad (what was he doing here?) ; however, some Indian-Mexicans (who were probably prayers) told us not to walk here in a shocked way.

Then I had a FA, and found myself in my classroom. Everyone was taking a massive amount drug pills -- I can't recall what drug --, saying it'd help them focus (even the best pupil took a lot of them). I didn't, though. We were all talking about these. Then I went to a big gymnasium which was used as a classroom for 2 classes, and the doctor I met last week (IRL) was our French teacher. The class went on normally but the teacher looked weird... She was on drugs as well. She told us at the end of the class she snorted cocaine at the teacher's room, with one pupil of my class (sometimes).

And then, I'm in a huge and modern two-storey train (I'm on the 2nd storey). My German teacher is sitting on the row next to me. We pass by my train station. From there, I can see what the train driver sees... There are three or four kids walking on the railway, but the train gets past them. I find that weird. Then we pass through a wall, which gets us into a tunnel. In the tunnel, the train goes past another group of kids. Arriving at the next station, I look at the hour.
The hour goes from 11:12 (displayed in green) to weird characters (displayed in red) -- I realize I'm dreaming, but get too excited, and the dream fades away.

I was pretty happy when I found out I was dreaming, but obviously too excited, and couldn't control the dream. I thought "Oh, all those efforts and I finally have a lucid dream! Yay!". Still, it's nice to have found out I was dreaming.
    6. How i came to find out that i had lucid dreams

      by , 03-28-2011 at 03:05 AM
I didnt always know that I had wild lucid dreams. In fact, when I found out i had all four symptoms and that it was a rarity to have all the symptoms and that people have been trying to have wild dreams for years, it was a complete shocker. For me, that was always normal. I went to bed and entered my own little world...literally. I'm not sure if this is ever discussed, but i have created an entire elaborate world where every night is like an episode in a tv show. I can control the entire world. I have been having this same "genre" of a dream for the last oh like 3 years. I got bored with the other world I had created before that.....
I can not go into the entire world of my dreams, because that would be like opening and entire personal side of me. But here's what i can say. When I go to bed, I'm still me. My brain is still wide awake. There is no difference. I have often referred to myself as a light sleeper because I am still aware of what is happening around me even when I'm asleep. As I get border with my dreams, I have to make them more interesting. The more interesting I create my dream, the quicker I fall asleep. If I'm bored, I have to sit there and think (while dreaming) of a plot for the next 8 hours of sleep I'm going to get.
I found out i had lucid dreams when I asked my friend what she dreamed about every night It took us an hour to sort out the difference between her dreams and mine. I gotta admit, I felt special. The only thing is, my dreams are a utopia. I get distracted because I want so badly to escape to my dreams sometimes and get out of the real world. I can skip homework to go to sleep. Its pretty distracting.
So I guess in the end, I wouldn't know how to help you have wild things. I think it has to be natural. But if you want to ask me about my dreams or "worlds" or specific questions you have about wild dreams, email me at [email protected]. Ill answer to the best of my ability.

    9. Short Lucid dream #2, and the awesome park dragon/giant slide thing.

      by , 03-28-2011 at 01:02 AM
I'm in the dream and I'm with my brothers in my house when I suddenly realize this is a dream. I turn around and say to my brothers "This is a dream" they ignore me and continue walking. I go outside my house and look to my left and there is this cave/statue thing. I think about if something scary came out of the cave, suddenly this thing (I forget what it was, could have been a person) walked out of the cave, turned and started walking towards me.
Suddenly I hear this loud, and frightening noise that sounded like static, right when I heard it I woke up.
      Lucid dream, 30 - 40 seconds long.

I barely remember anything about the park dream, only I remember these giant rides/downhill things that I think I remember them being shaped like a dragon. Each one was bigger then the last. And I lost one of my dogs. (I know not a lot to go off of, and sounds crazy but It was epic)

    10. Attain Sleep Paralysis and Lucid Dreaming within about 20 minutes!

      by , 03-28-2011 at 01:00 AM
Last night I discovered an easy way to attain lucidity and sleep paralysis fast. Now this may sound silly, but lay on the ground on the side of your bed on your back with your arms on your side. After about 10-15 minutes, your body will become so uncomfortable that it almost urges you to get back on your bed, when it is so unpleasent that you can't stand it anymore, get back on your bed. The body will be so relieved that it will grab the chance to fall into a deep sleep in about 5 minutes. After you fall asleep you will start the LDing.

METHOD 2. Lay on your bed on your back with your arms on your side. DO NOT go to sleep, remain conciousness. After a while your mind will question "Is the body ready to go to sleep?" to confirm that the body is still awake, it will urge you to roll over to another position. IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT YOU IGNORE THE URGE. The urge becomes excrutiatingly painful, IGNORE THE URGE! After about 5-20 seconds of pain, your mind will confirm that the body is asleep, and enter sleep paralysis. When awake and experiencing sleep paralysis, it can be scary. It will feel like you can not breathe. If you do not want to continue, change your breathing pattern into deep, long breaths. The mind will notice that the body is awake and it will wake up altogether, If you would like to continue in sleep paralysis, just sit there for about 5-10 seconds. The body will enter the Lucid Dreaming state. I hope I helped, and happy LDing.

    11. An Update

      by , 03-28-2011 at 12:41 AM
I haven't been able to post much recently because my dream recall seems to have just disappeared. I think there's two main reasons for this; firstly I'm under a lot of stress and secondly now that it's getting warmer I'm waking up earlier and going for runs etc, which means I miss the larger chunk of my REM cycle.

I'm really hoping my recall will come back soon!

    12. March 27 2011

by , 03-28-2011 at 12:39 AM (Mah Journal)
I was sitting in art class. It was rather dark in the room. I think we were presenting projects or something. I think I was sitting with JO and NI, and we seemed to be looking at some sort of table-top projector, sort of like in those sci-fi movies.

I think I woke up after this, but I had the intention of LDing. I slowly faded into sleep again.

It was odd. For the longest time I was caught in between, unsure if I was actually going to be successful. It was odd, because I was seeing darkness, and I tried to walk; I could feel my dream body flailing and moving, but yet at the same time I felt my real body. It was odd, trying to control the two at the same time, making sure my real body didn't move, but trying not to let go of the control of my dream body.

I eventually got my eyes open. Then I knew I could probably jump into the dream state.

I was wondering around some city at first. I wasn't totally in control of how the story went, but I knew I was dreaming. I think I was looking for someone or something, or maybe someone was after me.

There was a sturdy rectangular building made of concrete. It was pale yellow with green trim. I decided I should hide in there, so I went up to it and tried to break the glass. Even though I knew it was a dream, I was scared that the glass was going to hurt me. I punched it a few times and felt it wobble under my hand, and eventually hit it a bit harder. It shattered and I jumped in without harm.

Somehow i ended up in some apartment in the building. I was sitting on a couch and watching TV with a bunch of people from school. JO was beside me. I wanted to cuddle with him, and I turned to look at him. He put his head on my shoulder. I hugged him and nuzzled his hair.

Eventually I ended up in some large store, seemed like a mix between Home Depot and Wal-Mart, but there was a large candy dispensing area too. KR and KE were there. I think we were going to get some candy, and I was thinking about getting some blue gummies. It ended there.

    13. SWILD ( Swish Pattern Induced Lucid Dreaming )

      by , 03-28-2011 at 12:10 AM
Greetings. For the past few days i had been googling for different ways and methods for inducing lucid dreams. While i was at it, i came across a few articles about NLP and how it is used to modify behavior. Also i stumbled upon two subliminal videos created by Pete Casale (world of lucid dreaming website) in which NLP patterns (Swish, Anchoring and framing) are used to induce lucid dream. Although i had known NLP for some time now, i never knew that nlp techniques could be used to induce lucid dream. After watching the videos, i thought of making a new (perhaps) technique using the nlp patterns from the video, to be included in the DV tutorials. And i came up with SPILD (Swish Pattern Induced Lucid Dream). For those who know nlp, the swish pattern (nlp technique) is a simple and well known yet very powerful submodality technique for taking minor problem behaviours or states and replacing them with more useful behaviours or states. Basically it is used to change habits and/or install automatic responses. Below i outline the way for inducing lucid dream using the Swish pattern.

SPILD ( Swish Pattern Induced Lucid Dream )

Swish patterns are usually done in a visual representation system (i.e using mental images or pictures) although they can be performed in any representational system. If are a primarily visual person, you can choose to do a visual swish. For this you need two pictures:-

      1. The first picture represents the present state and must be associated i.e. the picture must be as it would appear seen through your own eyes - this is VERY important.

In the associated picture see yourself being cozy in bed and dosing off into
dreamland. Here, create the feeling of total physical and mental relaxation and
see yourself having the non lucid dreams.

      2. The second picture represents the desired state and must be dissociated i.e.
See yourself in the picture, as if you are another person seeing yourself from a
      different angle.

In the dissociated picture see your self in a dream becoming self aware, doing
some reality tests and finally becoming lucid.

As the swish pattern is a fast technique it is useful to take a few moments to make the two pictures as real as possible by tweaking the submodalities of each until they were just right. This way you can access the pictures quickly and easily when you come to do the swish.

Once you have the two pictures ready it is time to swish using the following steps:-

      1. Access the first picture - the associated picture of the present state.

      2. Imagine that the picture is on a rubber sheet. Suddenly the rubber sheet is
grabbed from behind and the picture is crumpled down to a tiny dot. Then the
rubber sheet is pulled rapidly backwards so that the picture is
drawn off into the distance with it.

      3. Imagine the tension in the rubber as it is pulled rapidly backwards, further and
further, until S-W-I-S-H the rubber snaps back into place and is now showing the
second picture - the dissociated, desired state.

      4. Clear the screen, empty your mind of the swish pattern you just did and think of anything. Again, this step is of importance.

      5. Run the process again from step one to step 4, repeating the process seven times. It's important that you do this process as quickly as you can - you should need only a very few seconds to do each repetition.

Once you've done the swish seven times you should find that if you can think of the old picture it is immediately and automatically replaced by the new picture - the swish has become an automated process inbuilt in your neurology. If the swish doesn't become automatic after the first seven repetitions, do another seven repetitions and test again. Swish patterns usually become fully automated after 3, 7 or 21 repetitions.

The idea is to associate the act of being asleep and dreaming (non-lucid dreams) with being critically aware, so that next time you fall asleep and dream, you will have awareness show up in your dreams.

      I am semi-lucid.

I am sitting at my computer. It's on fire. Everything is on fire. I am not afraid at this point, but I could be.

The fire stays within the tower.

I was sitting on my sofa, when my oldest brother enters the room and starts to annoying me. He's talking a mile a minute saying nonsence getting in my face.
I shake my head at him get up and while walking to my room I tell him to leave me alone. As I lay on my floor he comes barging in and starts jumping around.
I now start screaming at him to leave me alone, but he just jumps on me and starts to tickle me non stop. I continue yelling at him "You are so annoying" and "*Beep* Off !!"
but relentlessly he continues to tickle me. I attempted to hit him, but my punches are useless almost like swinging in slow motion. I Got so angry yelling and screaming I woke up. While in my bed awake I laughed so hard because it was such a silly dream, but then I thought I definitly have some deep anger issues with my brother.
