I have from time to time had prison dreams. Although not in a long time and seldom recorded. I was sitting on the toilet in a dingy bathroom watching a picture tube TV. As I began to notice my surroundings. I realized I was in a men's bathroom that was packed with rugged men who looked down on their luck. As a group walked out, one man squeezed my hand in a suggestive way. I retracted my hand quickly. I took a look at the gray jumpsuits and realized with a certain level of fear: I was in prison and I was one of the smallest friendliest faces around. I made my voice extra deep and tried to make dull and ignorant sounding statements. I left the bathroom with lurching gate. I entered a community area and there was my best friend Joe, his other best friend, my GF, and a few other people. I wondered what we all had done. I took my GF aside into a storage like room with a connecting walk way over an enclosed courtyard. I had the impression she was merely a visitor. I asked her: "How did I end up in prison? I don't remember even going to a trial." She told me my name was on an arrest list. I started looking around trying to take in the predicament and how I would need to act to survive. It crossed my mind I was arrested due to a case of mistaken identity. I looked past the courtyard where I saw a 20ft barbed wire fence and police cars on the other side.

Kerry building a house. I'm in a post 2012 world. Many people are frustrated with the Draconian control over money... not being able to buy anything unless they are chipped etc. And they begin opting out of the system. People just take government owned land and grow gardens and build houses there. Communities based on Barter systems are forming. I am flying towards Kerry Cassidy from project camelot with a large metal beam in my arms. I place it at her house which is under construction. I see her and I give her the beam and she trades me something else for it but I can't remember. Since the house only so far consists of steel beams I decide to do some monkey climbing. I walking on top of one of the beams and I notice that Sam is also in the house. She's looking down and depressed with her hood covering her face. I just walk past her. Nomad and me run. I'm in a strange house with Nomad and we are watching some weird guy with blond hair looking at glasses of drink in them. He takes a sip of a dark one and suddenly gets an indigo streak in his hair. He suddenly has a dark aura. I look at Nomad and say "Oh My God... He's becoming his shadow self." I run down some stairs and nomad is following me. Now we are running down a hill in a strange city and I see the weird blond guy walking behind us. at the bottom of the hill is a door and I go through it. Nomad follows... now we are on a staircase and on either side of the staircase is just stars. I know where I am going and run through another door. On the other side is a grassy knol at night time. People witha strange aura are sitting and looking at the night sky and smoking. I sit on the grass and join them. someone asks me where nomad is. I notice he isn't here so I said he must have fallen off the staircase in the stars and should be probably falling into earth's orbit by now.
I dreamt I was in one of three arena-like settings. One with a large spider overhead, one with two fighting triceratops an one with two boxing kangaroos. I was in the spider's arena where a giant spider overhead (like 200ft across? Yeah.) was dropping large sphere-shaped blobs on me as I tried to pop them with a stick or something. I remember getting paid a couple thousand bucks everytime I did it without getting hit.
hmm so i talked with matte before that on irc.. and itried to ld. it was so that i joined on IRC on my dream and i was talking to him i writted to hihm "dd" something and i was in ld and i couldnt stay more idk watching my monitor wasnt that good so i woke up.. after that i have slept alooooooot.. i had few derams but most was in my work.. the main thing i was doing is i was looking the list and the hours of how much i worked and how much my friend and others worked.. i dont remember anything else.. karli
I had a pretty cool dream today while napping. I was in some kind of jungle where I was sent to document a story about this kid from a native tribe. He was about my age, and he was known to have a talent and passion for climbing the trees and searching for rare "fighter birds" a set of rare species of little colorful hummingbird-like birds who were known to fight with each other in the tree tops lol. The dream started with him and I at the base of a HUGE tree, all the trees in the jungle were huge. There was a huge root at the base of the tree that was used like stairs and led to a wooden tree house around the height where the tree branches started. We started walking up and got close to the tree house. As he started to climb the branches to show me where he searches for the birds, I noticed a really strange bird to my right sitting on another tree branch level to my eye sight. The bird had the coolest turquoise sheen on his face and other strange colored feathers I can't really remember/explain but they were very vivid and textured with other visual phenomenon I couldn't really name. I picked up my camera that was hanging from my neck and aimed for it immediately. I either dropped the camera or made a click sound to turn it on, but I made a noise and it heard me and turned to me startled. I thought "great I scared it, now it's gonna fly away" but it didn't. It stared at me for a few seconds and flew toward me. I was kinda scared lol, I didn't know what this exotic thing could do to me so I jumped off the tree root I was on, which was high enough to have normally injured me but I was fine. Right before I jumped it swooped right above my head. I ran back up the root and into the tree house. While I stood at the back of the tree house, looking out the door, my dream cut to a scene of a big tiger approaching the area. Then I realized maybe the bird wasn't trying to attack me but trying to warn me about the approaching tiger.:uhm:

How many times have you failed a DILD/WILD? I know the feeling. You set your alarm for a WBTB. Drag yourself out of bed in the middle of the night. Prepare for your DILD/WILD with all the tips from every tutorial. But when the moment of truth comes, you forget all your lucid goals and slip back into dreamless sleep. Only to wake up hours later to find out you had failed. Does this sound like you? I'm sure it sounds like everyone. Because we all know, lucid dreaming is about motivation. Sure, if you're ready to dedicate your life to the cause then maybe you'll get up some consistency, but for everyone else it's going to be an upward battle. But admittedly there are some shortcuts. I first noticed this a long time ago, the night before my SAT exam. I was so stressed it took me over an hour to fall asleep. When I did finally sleep, I would keep waking up in the middle of the night very energized. Despite this, or perhaps because of it, I had some of the most realistic and vivid dreams I've ever had. Before my AP exam, the same thing happened. It wasn't just tests either. When I slept, over friends houses, when I got a new mattress, when I was sick. Everything that disturbed my natural sleep rhythm, made me dream more. As I soon found out, contrary to common belief, we don't dream when we're most asleep, we dream when we're most awake! It's a bit of a catch-22. To dream we have to be asleep, to sleep we have to be tired, but to be tired is to not dream. On top of this, the times that we dream best (before a big test) are also the times we least want to. So the question becomes, how do we "stay awake" while being asleep and how do we do it consistently? Although I've known this for some time, it wasn't until recently that I put together a concrete method. Introducing, S-Sleeping: S-DILD: Stimulated-Dream-Induced-Lucid-Dream S-WILD: Stimulated-Wake-Induced-Lucid-Dream S-Sleeping is not a method in it of itself. It is combined with other methods. Essentially, S-Sleeping is made up of two parts stimulating yourself, and breaking your sleep rhythm. Other than that, nothing in this method is hard and fast. Nothing works for everyone but I can only tell you what worked for me. With a little creativity, I'm sure you can find your own adaptation. Here is how I did it. I went to bed at 11:00pm and woke up at 5:00am (broke my sleep rhythm). 6 hours I've found is the optimal time for a WBTB. Immediately after I woke up I drank an entire AMP Energy Lightning. That's 58g sugar, 160mg caffeine. As you'd expect It woke me up immediately (stimulated myself). To boost my odds I moved my blankets and pillows to the floor (broke my sleep rhythm). After being awake for nearly 30 minutes. I slept on the floor. Many people might want to choose their favorite lucid attaining method for this part. I generally just use the good old DILD (reality checking, dream signs, etc.). But WILD works equally well. As you can imagine (with 160mg of caffeine coursing through my system) it wasn't easy to fall back asleep (that's the point). I always do this hilarious thing where as soon as I'm about to fall asleep, my brain jerks me awake (no doubt some sort of fight/flight response). At first I thought this was bad but I soon realized it's perfect. Eventually after shooting awake and falling asleep enough times. I shot awake, straight into a lucid dream! The first time it didn't last long (but I did have an exceptionally vivid regular dream). But the second and third times I had fully lucid dreams. The method worked spectacularly. On the second try! I'm no lucid expert. Prior, a lucid dream once a month for me was typical. Three times in one week was unheard of. I'd love to answer any questions you have, or expand on anything you'd like to know more about. If you decide to try this method (or have been doing it already) I would love to hear the results. Note: I understand that caffeine is an addictive substance. However, I plan to use it only occasionally and eventually wean myself off of it. I would not consider it principle to the S-Sleeping method but it is certainly the best way to get started. 160mg is only about half a medium Starbucks coffee.
I dreamed of a hotel that looked similar to the Peachtree Center Plaza Hotel in GA only the elevator shafts went out horizontally from the top, then went down, the back out horizontally, then down, until they reached the ground. There were two elevator shafts that did this, one on either "side" of the building. I don't remember the connection, but this was a Palestinian Hotel. I wondered how an elevator would go down the strange, jagged descent a few times, but couldn't make heads or tales of it.
Tried to WILD. I got my body into SP, or just about. I was like this for an hour before I turned over to just sleep. I kept getting a small vibration in my ear at every small sound I heard. Is that normal for you guys? I've felt it before trying to enter SP, does anyone know what that is? Anyway, rolled over and had a dream. I was at some kind of cook-out family thing at my moms house. My cousins were there, and my sisters. I had my son and T with me. I was going in and out of rooms. I saw my oldest sister in one room, and she was kind of acting like she used to when we were living together. Like her teenage self again. I remember seeing my other sister, but she was being stand-offish, like me a little. My oldest sister, I'm not sure how she was doing this, I can't remember her really saying anything to me, but she seemed to be trying to pry at me like start a fight. Kind of acting like I was having a bad attitude and she was going to make it a scene, I don't know. So I was getting kind of pissed off and wanting to leave. In my head we had been there for a couple hours already, so I went into the living room and saw my mom on the couch. It took me a second to focus on T sitting next to her, I raised my eyebrows (something we do when we wanna leave someplace) and he nodded. We started to get W's things together when my mom was kind of like, "ahh are you leaving already? I'm cooking chicken, don't you guys wanna eat?" I told her it sounded good, and I sat down on the couch. I started ranting to her about how D, my oldest sister was being. She didn't really listen, and T made it look like we were going to stay and eat. I went outside and for some reason there were people standing at a stop light next to their car. They actually were dancing to some techno in the middle of the street. It looked like fun and I went and joined in for a bit. Then I'm walking back to the house and there's an election going on, something for the city. Everyone's in these pews and the little electronic voting things are behind this pulpit or w/e. Everyone's getting seated, my sisters and mom and dad are in the back row. T's voting in the thingy. I get up to go talk to him. I've got W in his carseat and I'm carrying his bags. T comes out from behind the thing and we're looking for somewhere to sit. This old man pats the pew next to him and I laugh for some reason. Then we notice an newly empty pew and we sit. There's a comedian of some sort on the stage thingy and he was being kind of funny. Apparently he had some of his friends down in the corner at the front and they were laughing all annoyingly giving their friend shit. I got a close look at one of his friends and it looked a lot like the cable guy. Ugh. Then I'm outside again and I was getting outa my car for some reason, going back inside to see T and W. I take my seatbelt off and my shirt comes off. I get out of the car before I realize I'm only in my bra. As I'm walking back to my car, this girl comes out of a clothing store, she's dressed really preppy and my first thought was, she got the job. Then she says something a long the lines of "I've already dealt with enough dirty whores today, please." I was shocked. She was walking toward her bike rather quickly now. I started following her, still in my bra, pissed off. She seemed a little scared and I asked her what her problem was. I grabbed the bag that was in her hand and slammed it down. She almost got to her bike, but I beat her and pushed it over, getting in her face. I was so ready to tear her up. She moved and started walking away from the bike. I picked up the bike about to throw it at her, I ended up sitting it down. I was going to go inside, but she said something else to make me mad. She was on the ground, not sur ehow she got there, but I kicked her really hard in the belly. As I did I saw a cop go by on a street about 10 feet away. I hurried and hid in the entrance of the place where T was. I saw the cop pull in. The girl was still on the ground where I left her. I almost went inside to sit down, but I figured they'd find me and it'd make a big scene. So I stayed put, but I was really scared and hating myself for what I did. Then I hit denial. I said fuck this, this is a dream and I made myself wake up. I went back to sleep. I was at my moms again, same cook out. I was standing outside with my cousin, so I thought, then he started yelling at me. Then I'm inside with my mom and she tells me she needs to show me a video. It's a video of me and it was telling me about "all the drama" I cause in the family. I couldn't believe that she thought of me like this. One term, brightly bolded, like they were trying to sell the damn thing said "Dramatic Darkness" is what it called me. My mom was almost in tears, like it was some kind of intervention thing. I gave her a really disgusted look, angry because I knew her and my family absolutely didn't understand me at that moment. I got up to leave and she said if I left then me and T would have no place to stay anymore. (I don't live with her, I have no idea what that was about.) I said, "That's great mom, reject your daugther and your grandson. You know, mom, W is all I have now." Then I gave her more attitude, mockingly, said "yes I know this is more 'dark drama'!" Then I was going around to grab all the stuff. I went into the kitchen and I didn't leave, I cried. Before me and her got into it, me and T had also had a fight, I just can't remember much about that one. Also, I can't remember if the following bit is from my nap or last night's dream, but I remembered something else. Being on a bike path of some sort with my friend A and she was guiding me around it.

So, I don't know if this is posted anywhere but I know that there is a guide on normal reversed blinking. Reverse blinking is used when your eyes are closed and you are ready to fall asleep, it's used as a relaxation method. I believe it was posted by KingYoshi, but the concept is to keep your eyes closed and open them very quickly as if you were blinking, focus on maybe one little thing then close them again. I just had my first lucid a couple nights ago and I've been experimenting with different ways of 'reverse blinking'. Instead of opening your eyes and focusing on something like Yoshi does you can keep your eyes closed and just perform the motion of blinking. So, you are blinking with your eyes closed and they never open, but your muscles are still moving as if you were blinking. If you don't get what I'm saying close your eyes right now and try to blink without opening them, you'll get the motion down. So the night that I had my first lucid I tried this double reverse blinking, the moment I felt I was getting tired enough to fall into REM/SP I started doing the blinking. For me it kind of tricks me into thinking my eyes were open in the first place and when the motion is finished it feels like my eyes are open. When I hit SP I started using the blinking method and immediately started seeing images of dream scenes. They would fade for a second then I would do it again and they would come back for longer. I double reverse blinked one last time and my eyes opened in the dream and I was instantly lucid, I confirmed it with a nose plug and I was set to go I feel this could help people a lot when they are doing WBTB or CANWILD's or any WILD pretty much. Picturing your dream scene helps with this also. So if anyone is willing to try it and tell me the results I would love to hear it. It probably wont work for everyone but it worked for me. This is also meant for lucid dream induction NOT relaxation.
I had a dream that there was a bird, that had the characteristics of a pigeon but it's feathers were colored like that of a seagull. This bird was stuck in my room, for god knows why. I tried many different ways to get it out, one including putting my laundry basket over it and throwing it out. None of them worked, and they simply ended up with me getting pecked by the bird. Eventually, I just opened up the door to my room and opened up the side door, and the bird flew away. I remember that I was having a dream, and I realized it and said 'I'm dreaming!' but this was the end of the regular dream, and the end of the lucid as well. I am a Jew, and Germans have taken over the modern world. I am wandering around, and I decide to take my chances and go to a Wal-mart. Instead of employees being present, there are SS guards everywhere. Me, with a shaved head and no shirt on, exposing my half-starved self, must have stuck out like a sore thumb. I am near the middle of the Wal-mart now, and an SS tried shooting at me with his MP40, but I simply push his gun to the side. As he tries to reload, I kick the magazine out of his hand. Then, 2 SS ladies come towards us, one of them with blonde hair. She challenges me to a duel. I set the rules down for the duel. We must stand at opposite ends of the aisle, and whoever gets the most hits onto the other person wins. We start, and I begin shooting single bullets at a time at her, and while I'm doing this, she is sprinting towards me. I'm out of bullets, and she is 20 feet away from me, with a full clip of ammo. I call bull shit on her, that she is cheating, because she was supposed to shoot from the other end of the aisle. The other girl was talking about different bullet calibers for MP40 magazines, and most of it was nonsense. I decided to leave, and it was a lot easier than I would've expected. I went outside to the right, and I remembered (Falsely, from a movie I had seen) that I had stashed a lot of money somewhere, when I saw Kym. She was going home, and her mom was waiting for her by the loading dock. I asked if I could come with, and she replied exuberantly "Of course!" The two of them were Jewish as well, and they said that if they didn't tithe to the synagogue with their names, addresses, etc..., that they would later be assassinated and half of their wealth would be taken away. Kym's mom remembered how her husband put some juice from a plant root into Kym's eyes as a baby so they the irises would turn blue and she would look Aryan. I woke up.
Because of horrible sleeping habits (or staying awake habits), I haven't had a solid dream or set of dreams in years. (Literally) Recently I learned about lucid dreaming in detail (I honestly don't have the slightest idea how the concept came back to me), and the idea of having lucid dreams is slowly beating back my want to stay up until ridiculously late hours of the night. Or early the next morning. And school didn't help that much, to be honest. I label each dream (I usually remember more than one at a time) as such: D#, that is, Dream and which one of the night it was, i.e., D1: my first dream that night, D2, the second, and so on. None of my dreams are lucid, and if they ever are, I think I'll be happy enough that it will be obvious, so I won't bother with a color code for now. (Steve Taylor reference, for those of you who get it.) I'll try to use and shift time perspective and vantage point in my re-tellings to reflect the feel of my dreams. However, first-person-present usually fits them best.
Hello everybody, I was reading this post and find this link in it. After reading all the document (it is a really easy reading, 19 pages and a huge font size) I thought that trying the suggested method could not hurt me. It basically consists on repeating an Affirmation for 15-20 minutes a day, after 5 minutes of relaxation (somewhat similar to Nidra Yoga). This Affirmation should be written following some key points: 1-It should be written in present tense (e.g. I am rich) 2-It should contain absolute or infinite terms (e.g. I have all the lucid dreams I want) 3-Don't worry about it's logical sense: the Subconscious will believe anything. Thus, put your goals as high as possible (always within what the author calls the "Laws of the Universe"). In respect to the saying of the Affirmation: 1-It should be repeated a lot (every skill is learned through repetition) 2-It can be thought, it is not necessary to say it loud. 3-You should feel the emotion of already having/achieving what you want while saying the Affirmation for quicker results. 4-It should be said when waking up (not sure about this, maybe saying it at night could be more interesting as it would put our mind in the "right" direction). 5-Try to say it with conviction and confidence that your Subcosncious will do the job. So, my next goal is to write an Affirmation that directs my Subconscious to lucid dreaming regularly. I am posting an initial guess, and what I am expecting is some constructive suggestions from anybody to finally come up with a working Affirmation. After deciding for a final version of the Affirmation, I'll experiment with it (and it would be nice if more people wanted to try it) and post any results. So here it goes: "I always know if I am dreaming or not. My dreams are lucid. They are extremely vivid and stable. I remember all my dreams when I wake up." So here I am asking for: - Attaining lucidity - Vividness - Stability - Recall Any suggestions? Maybe a simple "I lucid dream" would be more effective? In the mentioned e-book the author writes pretty long Affirmations, probably for constraining the Subconscious interpretations and ensuring a minimum deviation from the goal in mind. Maybe asking also for dream control? Thank you.
So I'm at this place, and there are people waiting on these little subway type things. Some of the people were a few of my friends. One of them, A, was handing out blotter acid. Instead of the paper though, these were transparent and had the look of cotton, but the texture was like those stale "bread" crums you get at church. I had my son with me, but it was like three in the morning and he was sleeping in his carseat. We were sitting on this bench outside. I told her I better not, then I changed my mind. I took two of these acid tablets and realized I could get my mom to babysit. I try to call on her, but my friends were shaking their heads at me. They all left me there with my son, getting ready to trip. I started tripping, no visuals, but I had an extreme body high. I remember that it started to wear off fairly quick, and I remember being home and getting online. I was upset that my friends ditched me on acid. I got on aim to talk to someone. I remember talking to him but I have no idea what was said. The dream faded. I'm in a gas station now and my friend, A, is with me again. I'm behind the register, which is a little role-reversal, my friend is the one that worked at this station. Anyway, Danny Carey, the drummer from Tool, walks in. Everyone in the store was like shiit it's Danny Carey. I was blown away. He was in a hurry and told us he had a meeting to go to soon. So I let him cut, he's f'n Danny Carey! lol My friend does something to where she payed for his stuff and he payed her back or some shit. So I had to sign some huge ticket and Danny starts to leave. Before he is out the door I say, " Heyyy, next time you swing by, you better have Maynard with you." He laughed and smiled and said "Alright! I will do that!" lol The whole thing felt so real, like how it would've happened if it did in real life. So I sort of feel like I met Danny Carey. <33
Had a lucid dream about 10 mins ago it's 2 in the afternoon (lol) I finally figured out that I am having VILD's visually induced lucid dreams, it works very well for me and I love it. 10 hours of sleep, and it was probably an REM rebound Nothing really happens I just woke up and decided to try a WBTB to get some dream control practice I knew it wouldn't be long. It was 2 PM when I woke up, I set my alarm for 2:20 so I could try to lucid dream for a few minutes before I got up. So I relaxed and went back to sleep, I felt SP a lil tiny bit this time but only for like 2 seconds. It was a slight pressure on my chest. Immediately after having this sensation I did a RC and I was in a lucid again I appeared in my room, in my bed. I looked at the clock but it just changed every time I looked at it. I got up and focused on a bunch of stuff on the floor, it was just all of the normal stuff in my room. I then walked over to the computer to test what that's like when you are lucid, it was very bright and hurt my eyes. And every step I took closer the image on the screen got smaller and smaller. Until it was like 2 inches wide and long in the left hand corner. Again I practiced summoning but it was very difficult... I failed at summoning this time. I didn't really teleport where I wanted to go last time so I decided to practice teleportation, I thought of a place I know well enough to visualize it and I held a blanket infront of my whole body and visualized it. I appeared in the house where people were playing video games, Nate said You won't distract me from this video game when I arrived there (Stupid DC, I kill you) That was the end of the dream, remember I only had like 5 mins...
Dream Journal #30, June 6th 2011 Wow, had my first WILD today. I’m not so sure that it was the traditional WILD though, but I was conscious through SP and through the dream transition, which were both seriously crazy. I remember hearing footsteps while I was trying to fall asleep, I knew it was my mom. She went in my room, stepped in, stopped, went back down the stairs. I’m not sure if this was just a hallucination or if it was real, but I was conscious enough to hear it but not conscious enough to open my eyes and see. Next thing I know (I don’t know how much time passed between the gap), I’m conscious just a tiny tad bit and I feel like there’s someone in the room or something. I open my eyes just a little bit, I see like a shadowy black figure right above my head (I thought it was my moms head trying to listen to me at the time), and then BAM. Vibrations and sleep paralysis. This is my first SP experience, and it wasn’t even that scary. I saw the black shadowy figure and then my arms and neck felt like they were pushed down super hard so that I couldn’t move, and I really couldn’t. I also felt the vibrations and tingly feelings. I closed my eyes and was like, “oh.. sleep paralysis. let’s see what this dream transition feels like.” No excitement at all or anything I’m always relaxed when I’m in deep sleep. After a few moments of what seemed like 30 seconds to a minute of vibrations, I feel this sudden surge of my body moving forward and the blackness turning into some sort of scene. I surge and surge and then do a front flip, and then I’m sitting on my bed. I look at my hands and they’re all crooked, but I’m having a hard time trying to focus on them and stabilizing my dream. It’s night time and it’s dark in my room so I try to bring some light… but the damn light switch doesn’t work. I use my finger to drag the sun up (it’s sundown but its still super dark), and it works, but the light from the sun doesn’t get brighter. Frustrated, I turn around, imagine there being light behind me, and turn back around. No light. Arghh. I then start to think, “What if I wake up?” The dream scene just suddenly blurs and goes into chaos and I go into an FA which I don’t seem to catch. FA isn’t that important except that I was eating some french fries that tasted really real lol. Oh well, not a very vivid WILD, but the transition from SP to dream was really cool :p
