Nonlucid, Lucid, Partially lucid Aug. 31, '11:: I know I am dreaming. I am in a house and looking for a girl, any girl, but no one is around. I go outside and clap my hands, saying it is to make women show up. I fly over a field or pond, near a fence. The place looks like a farm. I remember my task and reach into my pocket for a seed to use as a portal to the Dream Academy castle. I pull out a small object and hold it in my hands, stating my intent. A ribbon slithers out from my hands, going down to the ground (I am still floating) and up into the sky. I start to climb the ribbon, hoping to enter the castle, but the dream fades.
Nonlucid, Lucid, Partially lucid August 27, 2011: I know I am dreaming as I enter the living room of my old childhood home. I approach the stone wall where the fireplace is and I say that there is a secret door and that one of the stones opens it. I press a small square stone in the wall. It slide in and a door slides open in the wall. There is a narrow, dusty hallway. It's more like a crawlspace. There are cobwebs and spiders in it. I start crawling through it, awkwardly. The walls do not seem solid or supported. I say aloud to myself that I wouldn't want to do this in waking life.
Getting to sleep before 2 is awesome! And the sad thing is, that's not sarcasm... 1) My mom is driving me and my sister around very recklessly and I am frightened... After spinning around in a circle, we stop and my sister walks to a convenience store. Open window, baked goods. 2) LUCID. In a room with other people. I run on top of the furniture, excited. When they ask me why, I say, "Because we're in college!" They look at me like I'm mad...

It was only my third Lucid dream. Last night before bed, I posted about Sleep Paralyses and using it to my advantage. I deal with the Old Hag issue quite a bit and feel like there is someone sitting on me or trying to stop my my breathing. Once I got over that last night (first two were awful) I used the DIELD method to get to where I wanted to go. Once dreaming I was outside in a parking lot next to a large warehouse. There was a very steep uphill that was higher than the building. I ran up about 300 ft. with what seemed like no effort. I then was running in the field on top of the hill, having every intention of jumping off the steep incline. So I did. I ran as fast as I could and jumped. At first I was not high up but just skimming the field, with the flying technique which was like swimming underwater when you stretch your hands all the way forward and pull the air/water back and through. Once this was working, I actually was high up and started to drop a bit, so I started to flap my arms a bit like a bird, and stayed up as funny as it sounds. I'm not sure how long this lasted, however when I lost control of the dream I turned into Superman, and carried the Bat Mobile off a train thing. That part bummed me out, not only did I lose the control of the lucid, I turned into a Superhero which is not my regular gig. I had a false awakening I think, and tried to segue into another dream but then actually woke up. What worked for me: not using computer for an hour, turning off TV and most lights also for an hour before bed and my now current 6mg of Melatonin.
Sept. 2, 2011 I'm driving through a small town. I'm not sure where but the roads are hilly. I'm following behind a black pickup truck with one of those big bumper guards on the front of it. I remember trying to pass it; at first I'm not able to, but then an opportunity presents itself and I pass it. When I look back in my rearview mirror, there's a grey vehicle between us. A few minutes later, as I'm going up a hill, I look in my rearview mirror again. I notice that the grey vehicle is gone and think, "It must have turned somewhere." Then I notice that the black truck is still back there and as it's moving forward it is also hopping up and down like a rabbit, which I find strange. After waking up from this dream and jotting down a few notes about it, I tried using the WILD method while going back to sleep. But I didn't return to the same dream. Instead I had a different one: My youngest daughter and I are at a small house or apartment on the waterfront that I seem to know belongs to a friend. I'm telling my daughter that there's a storm coming and that we need to prepare for it. I go outside, scan the sky and see dark clouds over a city in the distance. I then look at a motorhome that's parked on the street. There'a big ladder attached to the side of it and I remember thinking, "This ladder will have to come off. Otherwise we won't be able to drive the motorhome because the ladder will stick out into the next lane. So I proceed to remove two pins that attach the top of the ladder to the motorhome. As I'm doing this, I notice a line of heavy rain approaching fast from across the water. I abandon what I'm doing and run to try to get indoors before the rain reaches me. But for some reason, I can't find the door. It's like the place has disappeared.
Once again, I had multiple dreams. The first dream was during the night. The location was on some sort of colony ship in space. Most of the people in it had evacuated due to something happening. I am not sure what it was, but it was probably due to mutated killer animals running loose and killing people. I remember I was hiding with 2 other people. We were underneath the floor in some sort of maintenance room. One man was saying something along the lines of " If we survive this, this would make such a great Sci-Fi movie.". Of course, after saying that, a mutated tiger monster thing reached down from somewhere and ate him almost whole. Using that as a distraction, I was able to get away. Another dream, I was sen to the store to get a few things. Arriving at what I thought was Kroger, I went up to this main counter thing, and had to get a number. Once a number was called, we could go in. My number was 300. O_o Looking around, I could see that this place was far more than a grocery store. Connected to it was also like some sort of casino type place for some reason. I remember after talking to a few people about pretty much boring stuff, or asking about how to just get some stupid groceries, I gave up, gave my ticket to some random passerby, and left. My final dream was more along the lines of a nightmare. I recall seeing some little kid come out of a dark room crying and being extremely frightened. I am not sure where this was, but I decided to face what was in there. In the room, now with the lights on, were a few mirrors, and a door leading in, and another leading out. I did not see what the deal was, so I turned out the lights. Standing there for a few seconds, nothing happened. But turning around, I could have sworn I saw a face in my peripheral vision. Startled, I quickly turned toward it, seeing the mirror that was now dimly glowing. The figures became more clear, they were like very angry souls. I attempted to flee, but it was like my whole body was paralyzed, I could not even yell for help. Then things got weird. If I recall correctly, it was like looking into a mirror reflecting a mirror, seeing infinitely and filling my whole vision. I could hear the screaming of the shadowy people getting loud, At some point, I think I managed to make it to the door, when I woke up. At least I thought I did. I believe I had a few false awakenings before I finally woke up.
I was in some kind of theme park..I don't know really. I was there with my sister.. and I think the ride went wrong or something.. the ride was something like the Studio tram tours? So everyone (which for some strange reason was only sister and I) had to "finish" the ride on foot. Sis got a bit worried about this one point a cave that had a very high tide coming in. We managed to get across fine. When we turned the corner there was this Audio-Animatronic and when I went past it the Animatronic turned and "looked" at me the eyes glowed red.. and in the room that sis and I just went in..was something similar to an aquarium. end of dream.
I am at home. Some people come to congratulate me for something, I can't remember what. They hug me. I go to the garage. It is bigger than normally and has an extra door. 'This looks a lot like our garage, but it's bigger', I think. 'This must be a dream.' I go outside and do the nose plug RC. It fails. Next I try to get my hand through the wall. It feels very solid and the RC fails also. 'Well, this nevertheless is a dream'. The air is fresh. I try to fly but I only manage to do a back flip. I wonder what I should do. I contemplate doing a TotY, but then I go back inside. First I go to my room. I can't remember if there was anyone in there. Next I go to my brothers room. One of those who were congratulating me is now playing on PS3. The view changes to the game. I that I should pull myself off the game or I'll waste a good LD, but I still keep on following the game. Now it's my brother playing. After a while I wake up.
I've forgotten most of it, but I do know that my family and I were at a small store. At first, we were all looking around at the many items and food to purchase. No one was at the counter, so when my little brothers started messing with the stuff on the shelves, trouble ensued. Vanilla ice cream was everywhere. After several moments of messing around, the owner comes in... He flew into a rage! We all ran out back, except for my older brother. I went in to try and help him, but it looked like he had the situation under control. He strangled the man on the ground after he was kicking his feet violently, and then he stopped moving. I think he died, but it was for the best. He would've killed us all, but it was thanks to my brother who faced the tyrant and brought him down. The dream faded, and I thought it was all weird.
I was running around in a pitch-black middle Ebeltoft, for a reason I do not remember, along with some people I don't remember. Then I went to eat spaghetti out of the trash can.

Most of what I recall pertains to a long dream involving me being on a vacation in North Carolina (I just returned from there a week ago). First thing I remember was before, I was in some sort of video game scenario, fighting a boss of some sort. After I killed him, I had to go around and collect a bunch of...something, from the area. Later, I was in a shopping mall, and I had some sort of superhuman abilities (mostly movement). The mall was being attacked (or something), one of the "bad guys" had placed a bomb in one of the stores. I was working with a couple other people, and we did something to screw up their plot. Later, it was back to the vacation theme. We were going down a highway approaching a bridge (on the left side wtf), and we were worried that they were going to close the bridge for some reason before we could get to it. Last, we were at some place with a bunch of houses/condos, and in front of them, rather than a beach, was a park-like area. I did a bunch of different things here. Last I remember, I came out of our house, and a bunch of people were hanging around there, and someone was playing Skrillex. Further from the houses in a lower area, a group of college-age guys had built some sort of giant ice luge which ended at a hot tub. It was leaking into the hot tub, which pissed some guy off. We all started craking up at the whole scene, and I went to take a picture.
Dream - Lucid I was in the woods with my brother. We were camping with my parents, but they were off somewhere. It was nighttime. I wanted to smoke some weed without my parents knowing. I told Blake I was gonna go find my pipe and find somewhere to smoke. He didn't argue, but he all of the sudden looked like he didn't feel very well. "I think I'm gonna throw up," he said. He turned away and ran to go find a place to vomit. I went off to get my pipe. I don't remember where I found it, but it was off in the woods somewhere. I don't even remember if I actually smoked it or not. Dream skip. I was somewhere else, but I can't remember where. I know my family was still involved, though. My two top eye teeth felt...funny. They felt heavier, pointier. I thought about them protracting, and they grew. They were very, very sharp and had grown longer. I was a vampire. I was scared my parents would find out. I retracted my teeth again, and they returned to their "normal" length (even retracted, they were pretty sharp). I hoped my parents didn't notice this difference. Then, I was with another vampire, a male. He had long, unkempt black hair. He looked about my age, probably a bit older. He had been a vampire for awhile. He wanted to drink my blood because he was attracted to me. I was totally cool with that. In fact, that might be kinda hot! He leaned in to kiss me, and as he did, he said "The skin here will grow back..." He then leaned in and put his mouth to mine. He bit a chunk of flesh out of the inside of my right cheek. It didn't hurt, but I could taste my own blood as it flowed into my mouth. He then kissed me and drank my blood at the same time. Apparently, this is super sexy for a vampire, because I hungrily kissed him back, enjoying every moment. I was really into him. When he was through kissing me, I felt the blood stains on my mouth. I could feel the wound inside my mouth with my tongue, and moving that side of my mouth was difficult; it felt really weak. I really hoped that my parents wouldn't notice that either. Then, I was in my room at my hometown house. I was standing by one of the windows, and saw that it was nighttime outside. I made my teeth protract again, and felt as they grew. It was a really cool feeling, but I had to be careful not to cut my own mouth on my teeth. I could still feel the hole on the inside of my cheek, and my mouth still felt weak. On the window, I then saw what looked like frost mixed with scratches on the glass spelling "Krista", and some other things, though I can't remember what. It was the male vampire. He was trying to get my attention. I was very intrigued by what he was doing. He wrote my name again. It looked really neat. I also remember that during the day, our (vampires') teeth would look almost normal. It was only at night when they assumed their pointiness, though during the day, they could still be protracted. ~ I woke up and went back to sleep. The vampire dream continued, but in a different direction. I was a vampire again, but this time, I was in my hometown house living room with a group of other vampires. There were a couple of females and a couple of males. I don't remember my sexy friend being there, however. There was someone giving us all our own bottles of liquor and wine, depending on what we liked. One of the male vampires, he had short, curly brown hair and glasses, kept trying to politely (but nervously) refuse his bottle because he was a recovering alcoholic. I think he ended up taking the bottle, which was full of red wine, but not drinking it. We were all drinking out respective bottles of alcohol. I finished mine very quickly. I don't remember what kind it was, but it was a very sweet and delicious liquor. I noticed that it was a pretty small bottle, and I wasn't really feeling anything. Someone next to me had a bottle of this lavender-colored liquor. It smelled heavenly. I asked what it was, and they told me it was some kind of lavender liquor. I asked to try some, and they told me I could lick around the edged of the bottle opening to taste it. I did so, and it tasted so good, so smooth and delicious. It definitely did taste like lavender. These were some really, really cool dreams! When I was younger, I was really into vampires and such, and still am fascinated by their stories today (aside from Twilight which I've never read and never plan on reading). I haven't thought about, read any books or seen any movies about vampires for a very long time, so it was neat to see this come up in my dreams. Good job, subconscious!

I am in a sort of dorm room, i am trying to sleep. I think i fell unconscious during SP because i can feel my body sliding to the right, its weird. I jolt awake to find Joe & Darvz next to me in bed, im so confused by this that i forget to RC. I get really annoyed, very quickly. "WTF are you two doing!?" They seem really calm, like they have done nothing wrong "chill out man" they tell me. I keep telling them over and over "this is my bed, fuck off!!" We start to argue and i find out that they literally just had sex next to my unconscious body, im disgusted. "was that why i was moving to the right? Was that you guys moving me over?" They laugh, "yeah!" im fuming, i storm around the room shouting and raving about just leaving it out of my bed cause its out of order etc etc. Everyone else in the dorm thinks im crazy for thinking its wrong and try to back up darvz and joe, but im having none of it. It seems to be our last day of living there & we are about to move out. Im still so angry with joe cause he should know better, i end up hitting him when he starts giving me cocky replies. Everyone has left and its just me in the dorm by myself. There are more people upstairs above us, i can hear them so i go up. I cant remember what happened up there but i come back down to the dorm and try to escape, also the cops are on their way. I leave the dorm & go outside and across the road, there is a hotel, I look up at the sign and it reads "the winston Hotel" in big yellow neon. The hotel itself is a huge complex and i wander through the doors. It all seems very 1950's with the decor and everyone is in black tie + suits etc. I come through the reception to a sort of restaurant area. I see some of my family and sit down at their table, they seem to be expecting me. There was my mum, dad, uncle and my cousin daniel. I have a bit of a rant to them about the situation earlier with joe & darvz and how wrong they were. Dad starts telling me thats what he was planning on doing with some random chick cause my bed is "comfy" "you cant have sex in MY fucking bed! Use your own!!" i shout, im really angry again. He just disagrees with me and walks off to meet his girl. My cousin Daniel seems to be the only one that understands & helps me stall my dad. We are standing in the restaurant, there are tables all around us with people eating at them, i stop my dad by walking infront of him, turning and putting my hand on his chest, preventing him from walking forwards. Me and my cousin begin to bullshit him to stop him from going where he is going. We succeed and he returns to the table. I see some stairs and i wander where they go, so i thank daniel and walk up them to take a look around. A waiter greets me at the top of the stairs, he notices im looking at some wooden double doors, they are slightly ajar and i'm trying to see whats beyond them. "Past the doors is a room where rich elderly gentlemen gamble away their money" I ask if its ok for me to go through, he nods. I climb up the last few steps and walk towards the doors, open them and wander through. I walk past a few tables, there are loads of older men playing poker and roulette etc. I walk around a corner and to my right i see an old school friend hannah, she is wearing a green/blue dress & looks really nice. Shes dyed her hair red (always a bonus with me) "OMG hannah!" i shout, she turns, shouts my name back and rushes over. She tells me she found some random cash on an empty table earlier and we should go see it is still there, when we get there she says we could gamble away the money, im all for it since i never gamble and ive had a weird night. She suddenly decides to tell me its her birthday, i feel a lil awkward that i didnt know. I wish her happy birthday. She leads me to a room full of people and explains that this is her family and they're going to give her, her birthday money. She walks through a door and there is a huge table with loads of people around it, they all have envelopes which i assume is a card with money inside. I stay outside the room as i figure its more of a family thing and wait till she returns. She comes back really happy and tells me that she has £4,000 "£4k !? WTF thats insane!!!" i tell her. She just laughs and then walks off. I decide to go downstairs again and as soon as i get to the place i was stalling my dad earlier, i bump into a friend, ricky. "YES ricky, what you sayin?" i say, he looks up and laughs "Safe ben, whats gwanin?" i laugh this time then walk up to him. I remember about the money and whisper in his ear "theres some random cash lying around upstairs and bare poker tables" he looks at me "im in" he says. We go upstairs but the money is gone, i apologise to ricky & he says its cool. We start to walk around, we see two guys playing chess & sit down with them, offering them advise. i tell one of them to move their knight to a certain place and its checkmate! The other guy argues until he realises hes lost. We all laugh and me and ricky move on. We see about 4 old guys playing blackjack and ask if we can sit down with them, they all nod so we sit down. I notice two black guys just sitting further away and not really talking to anybody, they look bored. One is older & clearly hotel staff, the other is just a kid. I say hello to them & they seemed shocked. the older man asks what he can do for me & i tell him "well id like to see you both smiling so are you gonna sit down and play blackjack with us or what?" Again they seem shocked, they're looking at me like they think im crazy. "come on, sit down, have some fun.... For me?" They look at each other and the older one chuckles, "thanks" he says. They move over and sit down. I ask the kid if he wants to play, he just keeps saying "oh no i couldn't" But the older guy says "no do it, id like to see you play". The kid joins in on the game and we are enjoying some friendly banter. The older guy tells me that people in this hotel are pretty racist still and hes basically a slave. I am disgusted. "is there nothing i can do?" i ask him. he just looks at me solemnly and says "no". "then i think ill be coming to this place a lot more to see you guys, sounds like you could both use a drink, they're on me" i wink at the kid and they both laugh. The older guy gets called over by a really miserable looking woman, when he leaves the table the dream follows him in 3rd person. He begins to clean some stone steps, he is crouched at the top with a wooden bucket and soapy water, with a sponge cleaning away and minding his own business. The woman walks over and says he should of been doing this instead of playing around with me all night and starts to beat him, he cowers while she punches him a couple of times then gets up. He hits her once and knocks her to the floor. She gets out a knife and lunges at him, he grabs her wrist and throws her down the stairs. When i see this happen, i can't help but feel really satisfied. Then i wake up
non-lucid lucid notes I am with my buddy Jake, and we're going somewhere for lunch. We go into a hotel first, a very tall building with a large lobby full of people. He leaves me by a podium (like where the hostesses might be in a restaurant) and tells me to wait there, he'll be right back. As I am waiting, I start seeing lots of people that I know walking around, out of the elevators, milling in the lobby, heading outside. Some of my old HS friends walk up to me. The guys are wearing their football uniforms (but no pads, as if for pictures), and the girls are in either cheerleader outfits or prom dresses. They mostly shake my hand (guys) or hug me (girls) and move past, but one girl doesn't want to break our hug, and we sorta walk over to the side, still semi-hugging. Another girl comes over with her, and we all talk for a few minutes, but nothing I can really remember. They finally leave, and I see other people I know. A couple of friends take me outside the hotel on a golf cart, and we go for a ride, but I keep telling them 'I gotta get back, Jake will be ready to leave at any time.' When I get back to the hotel, I continue to wait around. I think, it sure is taking him him forever to get back.. I wonder if I am dreaming. I try to levitate the first person I see.. and it works. Lucid. I stop and stabilize, rubbing my hands together. The hand-rubbing thing is actually a fairly new thing for me to try, so I do it vigorously, really paying attention to how well it works, how well I stabilize. I decide to get in character for my Dream RPG. I turn away from the large windows in the hotel lobby, get a picture in my head of what I should look like, then turn back to the windows to see my reflection.. Wide-brimmed brown hat, white button-up linen shirt, brown leather pants.. looks pretty good. I also have leather straps around my shoulders, which appear to be some sort of holster/weapons storage.. I didn't explicitly try to create this, but it is definitely in keeping with the character. I know my task is to find the market in Denn and get some armor and a weapon, but for some reason I go ahead and imagine a sawed-off shotgun in my hands.. and it's there. I practice firing it a bit, but there is no muzzle fire and bullet coming out. I have had this problem before, where I had to explicitly imagine the bullet firing for it to work. In the previous lucid, once I imagined it right the first time, it became automatic. This time, however, I seem to be having trouble doing so. After a few practice shots, I see some outlaws approaching the hotel from the sidewalk. As I still haven't gotten the gun working yet, I retreated around a corner and up some stairs, still trying to get the gun working. I know that I just have to believe it will fire, but at this point I think I'm mostly convinced I'm not gonna be able to get it working. The posse comes around the corner and I aim at them and fire.. The trigger clicks and there is a slight recoil, but no projectile.. As they get to point-blank range and I still haven't been able to get a shot off, I wake up. Ack! Maybe next time I'll just go to Denn and get some blades to use instead Until I joined this site a little over a month ago, I had never really tried to fight things in my lucid dreams, so it's a new experience for me. I'm sure I'll get better at it with practice. On the positive side, my ability to change my appearance was much improved over last time!
