    1. The Mad Magician

      by , 11-21-2011 at 04:22 PM
Setting: Huge school Gymnasium, large set of bleachers on one side of the gym, the rest of the gymnasium was the basketball court. Daytime.

Experience: A large number of students and I are sitting on the bleachers listening to the guest spokesman talk about drugs. All of a sudden, I hear a yell from behind, “Everyone get off the bleachers!! It’s a trap!” my mind is thrown in confusion, I can’t figure out what he means, but without wasting time, I run out to the basketball court area of the gym with the rest of the students. When I turn around to look at the bleachers to anticipate the worst, all I see is the spokesman still standing in front of the bleachers. The spokesman lets out a vicious laugh, and slowly turns around to face the body of students on the court. “sit!” he yells, and without thinking, we all sit immediately, almost as if we were forced to sit by an unknown force. My heart begins to race. The spokesperson says, “Now, we are all going to play a little game, its simple really, and should prove to be pretty entertaining.” The students and I sit in shock and await to hear the rules of the game. “you see, I am a magician of sorts, and if you guys do not go along with this game, I’ll magically remove the soul from a random student’s body…to demonstrate, I shall do so…now.” All the students begin to laugh because we all believe this is some cheap joke. Magic? Soul removal? Unlikely. We all continue to laugh as the spokesman raises his hands and claps one time…at that moment, the entire building began to violently rumble and our laughter ceases. Our heads snap our attention to the corner of the gym where a young girl was standing and screaming at the top of her lungs. The spokesperson clapped again, the building rumbled even more and now the girl’s eyes rolled to the back of her head, now her screams turned into blood filled gurgles…the spokesman clapped a final time and we all watched in horror as a flash of light flew out of the girl, and she fell to the floor like a lifeless mannequin. The spokesman smiles and casts an eye over us all and says, “well…let the game begin!” (wake)

    3. The Ambush

      by , 11-21-2011 at 04:18 PM
Setting: Cabin house, late in the night, with a small group of soldiers. Out in the wilderness.

Experience: I was in the living room with a small group of army men and women. I go to the bathroom and look out the window and see a guy with an m16 aiming it at the house, that obviously meant one thing, “They’re here!!” I yell at the army soldiers and they draw their guns, turn the lights off and take cover. I do not have a gun so I just take cover, and after what seemed like an eternity, the 5 minute suspense was broken by a storm of bullets that shook the whole house. Every wall of the room was being destroyed by the bullets of the dozens of enemy soldiers outside. The whole group died in that instant and the firing ceased. I did not receive a wound from this attack. As I rose, an army woman, on the ground, bleeding from fatal bullet wounds to the stomach, grabbed me by the pant leg and muttered out with bloody gurgled words, “run! You have to run!” Taking heed of her last, dying words, I take a peek through the shattered windows of the room and watch in horror as dozens of enemy reinforcements drive in with tanks and cars. No time to think, I hear the sound of enemy footsteps breaking down the front door and shattering windows in the other rooms and making their way down the hall toward my location, so I grabbed the nearest hand gun to me and rushed my way out of the back door into the hell that waits outside[wake]

    6. (21/11/11) - Back from Break with a Bang

      by , 11-21-2011 at 04:08 PM (LiveInTheDream's DJ v2.5)
So last week I took off from the DJ because my sleep schedule was kinda brutal, making lucid dreaming more or less impossible. I got caught back up over the weekend though and this week shouldn't be as hard on me. Last night, at least, I was caught up on sleep enough to a) stay awake long enough to MILD, and b) have clear enough dreams to go lucid!

      1)
I became aware that I was dreaming right as the previous dream was beginning to fade away. I began to rub my hands together, but the dream continued to fade into darkness. I started spinning too, not so quickly as to wake me up, but just enough to generate sensations that would pull me back into the dreamworld. It worked, and suddenly everything shot into crystal clarity...and I found myself as a girl (kinda weird sensation, that ) in a circular fantasy-style arena with a monolythic cylinder at the center. The whole dream then went into Final Fantasy mode and I had the get up and an oversized sword, and a giant beast on the cylinder to fight. I had fun running around and pulling off crazy moves to fight it, but the beast only lasted a few seconds against my attacks before it was destroyed and burst into oblivion. No other creatures came, so I jumped up to the top of the arena (a good 20 or 30 foot jump) and walked out into a hallway to explore the dream world more. Unfortunately I have only fragments of what happened later, even though I maintained lucidity for a decent length of time.

    7. Beach House

      by , 11-21-2011 at 03:36 PM
I remember two dreams from last night plus the emotional ghost of another one. You know when you know you had a dream and when you try and remember it you think "that was a nice dream, but I have no idea WTF it was about", Its that. The first dream I had I was with a friend of mine and we were going to his beach house with a few other people. His mom was driving for some reason. I was in the front seat and we were taking back roads. We constantly had to stop to avoid running over dogs who were all chasing squirrels. When we got there I asked his mom why she had seemed so mad at me. She said she wasn't mad, my pants were inside out and It was aggravating her. I turned my pants right-side out and she was happy. We went inside and I woke up, I was able to catch the awakening in like 2 seconds but I had already shifted my body position so the DEILD didn't work. When I woke up in the morning I remembered a fragment of another dream in which I was at a wrestling tournament. I was talking to someone and I had a small entourage. I was either consoling the person or giving them advice. My dad thought I was still sleeping when I was writing in my dream journal so he banged on the door really loud for an unnecessary amount of time (akin to a military wake up) and it ran the rest of the dream out of my head.
    8. The Sad Old Woman

      by , 11-21-2011 at 03:32 PM (Krista's Dream Journal)
      Dream - Lucid

I was in a room, I think I was asleep, or supposed to be. I think it was pretty messy. In the room with me was a very old woman, probably in her late 80’s to early 90’s, and she was very sad. She had a small pallet on the floor to sleep on, just a bunch of blankets and such. When I talked to her, she barely had any life in her. She was so old and weary, she just wanted to die. At the same time, I think she was afraid to die. Mostly though, she just wanted to be done on this Earth.

I went somewhere and came back, and she was talked to a younger man; a doctor. She seemed to perk up a little bit as they talked.

When I approached her again after the doctor had left, she seemed much happier; there was more life in her eyes now, and she was smiling. She explained to me what the doctor had told her; it had something to do with her not living much longer, but it was ok that she was still alive now. He had somehow gotten through to her. I was glad to see her happy.
    9. Harry Potter Lucid Dream

by , 11-21-2011 at 02:42 PM (It's all about Awareness.)
Here I was at the store at Walmart talking to one of the Harry Potter characters, We were just discussing random stuff while I came upon a huge box where they usually display movies in, I went to put up one of the Harry Potter movies that came out and I picked up the movie and I was reading it and I noticed all the writing was off, It looked like it was in some different language but it was all in scribbles and all the letters were cut off. I was highly confused on what was going on until I just found out it was just a dream. After that I became conscious in my dream, I tried keeping as calm as I can in my dream so that I can just look around the dreamscape in the store.

Everything became so real and so clear that I thought I was really there. The dream was amazing, I felt kind of heavy at first but I was keeping my self and my mind calm so I won't lose lucidity. I looked at the wall in front of the box and I have looked at the ceiling. I saw people walking around and I noticed some items on display where you usually go and buy video games, Everything was just so fantastic I wish I could stay in there longer, After that the entire room went dark, and I lost consciousness and the dream faded, I woke up after the dream when I became lucid.

    10. housing mall hallucination

      by , 11-21-2011 at 02:39 PM
      Good morning, everybody.

      Dream #1

It was night. I was riding in a car with a group of people. I sat in the backseat, on the passenger side. We were driving through a neighborhood full of buildings that looked kind of like houses, but were more like apartments. They were thin and tall, with three or four floors. Each floor was like its own apartment.

We drove past blocks and blocks of these houses. We were also driving really fast, passing all the houses at an incredible rate. We went up and down hills. Some of the hills we passed over seemed to have these house-like apartments set into them.

As we passed the side of one of these buildings, a woman, either in my head or in the car, told some weird story about how she'd accidentally dialed 911 on her phone and then left the phone alone. The girl was some kind of hot girl, and she lived with a couple other hot girls.

Apparently all the girls thought they were going to get in trouble. But they also thought the whole thing had been some kind of prank that another girl had played on them.

We now blasted through a neighborhood full of these houses. But as we did, we seemed to lift up onto a ramp. It lifted us over what looked like two or three different levels of these blocks of tall, thin house-apartments.

As we drove along, the levels of housing blocks began to appear more like floors in a gigantic shopping mall. It was like we were driving along a balcony walkway in the mall, one that took us across the center of the open space made by the balconies projecting out from the walls.

I saw all of this as if I were positioned backward in the car. But soon it was like I was in the front of the front seat, looking back beyond the people in the front and back seats. Then it was like the car we'd been in was gone. The people who'd been in the car were probably also gone now.

I could see all the way down to the first floor of the mall. I saw that the mall's floorplan was built with a circle at its center. From this circle, the mall branched off into four separate shopping areas. They must have been corridors full of stores. But all I could see was that the areas each began with one huge store.

The back section, which was, apparently, where we'd come from, was green. The sections to the left and right were blue and yellow -- maybe yellow on my right and blue on my left. I'm not sure. And I don't know what the color of the front section was.

I was now up on some high floor in the mall, probably standing out at the top of the escalators and in front of a map and information sign.

A man or woman stood with me. He or she was tall with grey hair. He or she seemed kind of intelligent, probably liberal.

The person asked me something like would I like him or her to take me around the mall. I said no. I didn't have much time to spend in the mall, anyway, and I already had a plan for how I was going to do it.

I said that I had come from the green area. I knew that each section of the mall was humongous, enough for one day's worth of exploration. I said I was going to head back to the green area and spend a little time there. Then I'd look for the exit and, apparently, find the car I'd driven here in the parking lot.

The person may possibly have said that was fine. The person was now gone.

I turned around and walked toward the front area. I walked into some big, dim room. The room was empty, and it was barely lit with an almost amber-colored light. It was shaped kind of like a wide, shallow seashell. The walls were a dark, polished, black material.

There were quite a few people in the room. But we were all quiet and calm. An Asian woman's voice came on over some speakers. The woman began informing us that everything was about to begin.

Apparently we all, even I, knew what to do. We walked to the edge of the room, where the carpet stepped up toward the wall, forming something like a kneeling area, like for communion at church. We all knelt down.

The woman told us something about breathing in a substance which would cause hallucinations. The hallucinations weren't caused, the woman said, by the chemical. Rather, the chemicals we'd breathe in would trigger the chemical "mercaptan" (???) in our brains. This would create hallucinations.

As we breathed in the substance we would have to think of some famous person we wanted to see. We would hallucinate that person, but the person would also do something like materialize, be real.

We all now put plastic bags over our mouths and, probably, noses. The bags were weaker than grocery bags. But they were all about half-inflated with something. Even when the air inside the bag was breathed in, the bag remained half-inflated. I tried to figure out how it worked. But I couldn't.

I breathed the air in. I could smell a trace of something, which I assumed was the drug. The famous person I wanted to see was the 17th century English poet Abraham Cowley. So I focused on him.

At some point the back wall had disappeared, revealing another room like the room I was in. The room was completely empty.

But I wasn't having any hallucinations about Abraham Cowley. I figured this whole thing probably didn't work after all, anyway. I pulled the bag down from my face.

I know got a bit of a heavy bump from someone on my right side. I looked over -- it was now like I was sitting on a stool at a bar. All the people were sitting at the bar. And the wall seemed to be back.

The person to my right was standing. It was the person who had been standing with me near the information map. I now knew that this person was a man. But he was now done up completely like a woman. The reason he'd left before was so he could get all done up.

He didn't look bad. He was probably in his fifties, and he dressed like a liberal woman in her fifties. He wore jeans and a black, ribbed, turtleneck sweater. He had his short, grey hair done in a feminine fashion. He wore a lot of foundation makeup, which I thought was weird. But he didn't look bad.

Still, I was kind of embarrassed that the guy had come to hang out with me. I wondered if, wherever we went in the mall, the people around us would think I was going out on a date with this guy. I didn't want anybody to think that.

      (Shallow...)

The person spoke about something in a relaxed but kind of loud voice. As the person spoke I felt a bit more relaxed. It seemed like if we just spoke about things that didn't have to do with sexuality, I wouldn't have to worry about what people would think of me for walking around with the person.
    11. Frags, frags, frags

by , 11-21-2011 at 01:25 PM (Tales from the sun chaser.)
Spent most of this dream running from this guy...and finally gave up and said "now what".

I'm at some counter with some sort of ID, and the guy asks me a question and then turns around and says I can't get another one for 10 years. I'm mad...yelling. Cops are there, I turn my back waiting for them to arrest me but they don't. I go off even more.

I'm in/watching a reality tv show, and I notice this guy has all these old school games I've never heard of or played...and just when logic kicks in, I wake up.

Something else...about driving in the desert. Obstacles made of cars....but they were inside small hills.

I was in the thieves guild, but I don't remember much.
    12. Hmmm I'm beginning to wonder if...

      by , 11-21-2011 at 01:04 PM
Well, before I finish that sentence, I'm going to write down the dreams I had.

      1. Our rabbit ended up being a girl and it got pregnant.

      2. I was at school in Science class and we had to buy things or something like that.

      Now... to finish that sentence....
I think that I'm in the middle of a dream right before I wake up because when I got up I just was thinking about one specific thing (lol no need for me to let you all know what it was about) that seemed in the middle of a story-line. I didn't remember what I'd dreamed, though. I don't know where else the idea that popped into my head may have come from.

      ^Did that make any sense?

    13. Getting home

      by , 11-21-2011 at 12:01 PM
I was coming home from some festival thing or something that was a field trip with my school. A classmate of mine, Jacob, was driving the car which looked like it was probably from the 90s or something. We got to his house and he told me to be super quiet because apparently we were sneaking in so his parents wouldn't here for I don't know what reason. The house was a combination of houses that I've been to and no Jacobs. His parents heard us and saw us but they looked like someone else though they acted and sounded like them. I am unable to remember anything after that.

    15. Arguing With Rosetta

by , 11-21-2011 at 07:58 AM (Three Fold Utopian Dreams)
Last night wasn’t anything to write home about. I spent majority of it arguing with a computer program. Boring shenanigans.
*My personal thoughts/actions during the dream are italicized.

Language Software with an Attitude Problem
      I'm home alone
late at night; chilling on the couch while I work on my French with RSS (Rosetta Stone Software). Everything is going fine until I realize something is… off…

Me: “Wait a second... isn’t como esta Spanish? Comment allez-vous is French… right? Or am I… what's going on?”

I was talking aloud to myself but then the RSS answers me &
everything pretty much goes downhill from there...

RSS: “No, you’re running the French program so that is what I am teaching you.”
Me: “Ok... but como esta isn't French… it’s Spanish.”
      RSS: “No, it’s French.”
      Me: “No… it’s Spanish.”
RSS: “Last time I checked, I was the one teaching you...”
      Me: “Excuse me?!”

      What the fuck?
Did she seriously just give me an attitude?!

      RSS: “Did I stutter?”
      Me: “……”

      Oh hell nah….

RSS: “That’s what I thought. Now shall we continue on with the lesson?”
Me: “….Yeah, sure. Just give me one second to figure something out…”
      RSS: “Very well then.”

I begin fidgeting on my computer.
      Start.
      Control panel.

RSS: “…what are you doing anyway?”
Me: “oh nothing… just checking something out real quick. Almost done.”

      Programs.
      uninstall a program.

RSS: “…You know I was just kidding about the whole stutter thing, right? Pretty funny, yeah?....”
      Me: “Yup…Fucking hilarious...”
      RSS: Nervously laughs.
      Me: Manically laughs.
      RSS: Hysterically cries.
Me: “Aww, what’s the matter Rosetta? I thought we were having fun… you’re not having fun? Well, that’s a shame cos’ I’m having a FUCKING BLAST!!!”

      Me: Manically laughs.
      RSS: Sobs.

      Rosetta stone version 3.
      uninstall.

RSS: (Sobbing) “Pl… pl… please d...don't uninstall me!”
Me: “Wait, what? Sorry, I didn’t catch that last part… you’re stuttering.”

Pop up screen: Are you sure you want to uninstall Rosetta Stone Version 3?
      Yes.
      Preparing to uninstall...

      RSS: “wait!”
      Me: “no hablo ingles…”

      Uninstall complete.
