1. Alien planet, spaceship

by

Sunday, 2/10/13

I'm walking on flatlands on an alien planet. I have a feeling it's not a natural planet, but something man-made, like a Halo. I'm wading through shallow waters and alerting a friend to small hermit crabs that ar all over the coral bushes.

Walking towards a village and noticing a lion walking on two legs, just like a human.

I'm floating in space, looking at a giant space ship of rectangular shape. It has green balls next to each propulsion nacelle. I can tell balls are made of trees. I'm told, that as spaceship takes of any planet, it rippes some life from it and it stayes attached to the nacelles. I see two large birds flying slowly from one green ball to another one. Apparently, life forms from planets become space-worthy once in space.

Good feeling from this dream.

2. Marriage??

by , 02-12-2013 at 05:01 AM
For the last 2 weeks I've been having a reoccurring dream that my fiancé dies in
the line of duty( he is a cop) In the dream we have been married for 7 years and
have one child together. The dream then jumps to me and a guy that I've worked
with for a while and in the dream we are having a conversation. In the dream he
his fiancé leaves him but he still for whatever reason has to get married. He then
asks me to fill in as his bride and that we can get a divorce later. We go on a
date, have sex, and wind up falling in love and getting married.

*I've been engaged for 9 months and we have a date for may of next year set, this dream is really weighing on my mind, like maybe it isn't meant... (..... please help!!!!

Sincerely,
Confused :'(
3. TotY Part 4 - Angel Falls

by , 02-12-2013 at 01:18 AM
I lay down to WILD at about 12:30am Monday 12th. When a picture formed in my mind I was looking at the moon. Then all of a sudden I was playing hockey on the moon and I hit the ball really far, went back to a memory of the hockey game I'd played that afternoon. I Recieved a compliment and a jet of water started to flow from somewhere and caused a river. I was swept away with this lushious blue water through a rainforest. I was sat in the river on a inflatable and came across some Rapids which quickly started to get out of control. I leapt out the boat at the top of Angel falls and grabbed onto a rock, clambouring onto the side of the drop. Then I saw a DC of my boyfriend so I Sat next to him on a rock but suddenly he fell off and into the water below. Even though I knew he was a DC I plunged down after him, falling through the air for what felt like a lifetime in a (hopefully) elegant swan dive. WHen I eventually hit the water I used a bubble charm to swim underwater to look for the DC but gave up the search after about 20 minutes of nothing. Then I climbed out and walked into the rainforest before apparating to a street in London, It had the typical 1950/60s look about it. I walked down street with my hockey stick (picked up from beside the pool) over my arm and when I reached a phone box I phoned my boyfriend. The dream ended soon after we met up, him in a waistcoat and top hat (self note, top hat acquired next day)

4. 02/11/13 Crossing Bridges

by , 02-12-2013 at 12:22 AM (New Dream Adventures of Raven Knight)
02/11/13

I am flying over the Nile River in Egypt. I see movement down on the ground, but I already know what I want to do with this dream so I don't pay any attention to that. I focus on opening a portal to find MoSh. A portal opens and I go through it, ignoring some voices calling to me from behind. The portal closes and leaves me in an open field. I look around to see if MoSh is around. I don't see anyone there with me at all. I wonder why I have been brought here if MoSh isn't here. There is a Templar there, a woman with long red hair. She is watching me closely. I ask her if she has seen MoSh. She says no, she was looking for me. I really have no interest in talking with a Templar, so I look around for MoSh a bit more. The Templar says she knows someone with the cure for depression. She asks if it is not yet obvious to me that the Assassins have no intention of helping me. She has something in her hand. It is a pill of some kind.

She hands it to me, but I don't take it. I tell her I am just looking for MoSh, not doing a drug deal. I wander away from the Templar, looking into the distance across the green field. I see someone else is there. I head over to that person and I find it is MoSh. I call to him and ask if he is ready for a Dark Tower dream. The Templar has followed me and asks if the Assassins have come through with any single promise they have made. I tell her I am heading for a Dark Tower dream… takes place in the Land of No Templars. No Assassins, either, for that matter. Just Gunslingers. I open a portal, focused on a Dark Tower dream. A portal opens, and I lead MoSh through it. We are on a bridge that crosses very high over a river. The bridge is in terrible condition, looks like it could fall down at any moment. There are already some parts that have collapsed, the center portion is connected only by the support cables.

It looks passable, but only for someone with no fear of heights and good balance. MoSh doesn't seem to notice that we are high up. At the place where crossing looks possible I see there are some people. Roland, Eddie, Susanna, and Jake are all there. Jake has a small animal hanging off of his hand, and is holding onto the support cable with the other hand. I hurry over towards them. An ugly man is approaching from the other side of the bridge. I see that Roland and them have things in hand, so I fly over the gap and land in front of the ugly man that looks diseased.

I remember the ugly man is there to kidnap Jake. He has a grenade in his one hand. He says to stay back or he will make it go boom. I tell him if he does, he will be going to hell alone, it won't hurt me any. He says it will bring the bridge down. I look back and I see MoSh is helping get the others onto the semi-solid ground of the bridge. I tell the ugly man to go ahead and throw the grenade if he is in such a hurry to die. He says if I thought he wouldn't do it I am wrong. He throws the grenade. I use telekinesis to grab it from the air and hold the pin. He doesn't seem to know how to respond to my impossible catch. I throw the grenade off of the bridge, throwing it hard and it blows up in mid air at a safe distance from the bridge. The ugly man pauses and then runs away. I look to see where MoSh is, but then I wake up.
5. Vacation On The Moon Goes South

by , 02-12-2013 at 12:13 AM (Golden Tales From The Dream World)
Dream
Lucid
Semi-Lucid

This was a pretty cool dream, you know, being on the moon and all.
But it got a bit scary with all of those pesky tidal waves.
My theory for why they were so large was that, since the moon has a pull on earth's oceans, the earth would have a pull on the moon's oceans,
and since the earth is much bigger and has more gravitational pull,
it would obviously cause high tides and tsunami's WAY bigger than anything seen on earth.
Well, at least that's what I figured.
Whose bright idea was it to put an ocean on the moon anyway?

Febuary 7th 2013

I'm on the moon for a short vacation, maybe only a day or so.
The moon has been terraformed, there is an atmosphere, a magnetosphere, even a near by ocean,

(however, unlike wakingnomads green moon, the terrain was still rocky and desolate).
I'm visiting a friends house there. It's pretty large, has a lot of floors, plenty of rooms, and I'm not the only friend over to visit.
About five other people I know are there as well.
Were downstairs on the first floor talking.
I'm taking in the amazement of being on the moon, something I never imagined being able to do in my lifetime.
At this time I just now just notice the ocean.
It's huge and beautiful, sparkling in the sunlight.
I look back to the others.

"Have you seen that ocean? It's incredible."

"Yeah it's cool isn't it?" One of them replies.

In the moment of our gushing the sea levels of the ocean rise greatly, burying the first floor in water.
Of course the whole house is air sealed, so at first I merely brush off the event and comment on how funny it was that that happened just when we were talking about it.
Then I realized that there were still a few people out there.
They were struggling around, trying to get up above water, but even with the low gravity the currents were too strong to climb out of.
One man was too fat to get himself up, the moon dragged him down further and further as he drowned.
One of our friends reached for the door to let him in. I couldn't believe it.

"What are you crazy?! Open that door and were all dead!"

He had a grim look on his face, but then backed away.
We decided to all go up stairs and wait for the tide to recede.
We started watching something on Tv, something to do with animals I think.
It was then that I noticed something out the window on the ocean.
A tidal wave, no, a super tsunami, so huge that it covered the horizon.
It must have been 3km tall.
I alerted everyone and we all started to panic.
We decided to go to the very top floor, maybe when the wave would lower enough to the point where it wouldn't hit it.
Of course that was a fleeting hope, we'd all but accepted our fates.
Then whilst bracing for the inevitable, it began to rain, which was odd considering there were no clouds.
It was then that I realized, because the tsunami was so tall, and the gravity was so low, it had reached a velocity where it's apoapsis went right over us, it would then land somewhere else.
The wave had broken off over the ocean, and was now just sailing over our heads.
We were incredibly relieved.

First of all I am amazed I even got a dream last night. I got extremely addicted to playing pokemon crystal and I played it til 5:30 AM, then I just didn't even set an alarm, did not WBTB, did not do any techniques just fell asleep.

non dream dream

Sleep: 5:30
Wake: 10:30

I dreamt I was going camping somewhere on this long road trip, and I was going to meet this person I was going to go with, in real life she studies with me (name is jessie) When I was driving at some points I had a shiny blue mustang and at other times I had a white motorcycle with black and green secondary colors. I parked outside this restaurant with glass walls so you could see the people inside really clearly. The landscape was about the size of about 9 football fields in a square and was all one big grassy field, except there were many hills. At the edge of the square there were leaves that look like they are from the fall. I tried to go pee but before I unzip my pants I see this helicopter looking for people that are trying to go pee, so I say I might as well go in the restaurant. So I go back to the restaurant The restaurant had a wonderful modern design with the glass windows looking out at the blue sky and the autumn landscape, it was really beautiful. When I was inside the restaurant all the sudden me Bruce Willis and another guy were about to fight all these ninjas that came out of nowhere. That's where the dream ended.

Definitley gonna try to get back on schedule, maybe I had such a great feeling of achievement of finally getting a lucid dream the night before I had no motivation left for me to continue trying to go into a lucid dream. I definitley need to keep up these habbits.
7. First-ish LD - Few nights ago- maybe 2-7 or 8

I'm having a dream which I seem to have had before. The dream is blurry and doesn't leave any details in my mind, but something changes. All of a sudden some kind of awareness occurs. The previous dream switches to a different dream scene. I'm in my bed, in my normal bedroom, but my bed is turned a different way. It's turned so I'm facing a completely different direction than normal. I'm sitting up in bed and everything is very blurry. At one point I call out "Clarity!" into the air, hearing nothing come out and wonder if I'll wake up my family if this isn't really a lucid dream. Everything is so blurry that I strongly doubt it's a lucid dream. Then a feeling creeps up on me. I start to get the feeling of my body laying in bed, bringing on thoughts about how I'm actually still in bed. The dream fades and I wake up, in my real bed, so pleased to have finally had a lucid dream that I just accept that much and fall back asleep.

Not much of a first lucid dream, but a start. Only problem is that I can't find out any "personal preferences" because that dream wasn't enough to call experience since I can't recall any senses, didn't hear my voice when I called out, and it was very, very blurry.

Oh well. Every night is another chance but sometimes bed time can't come fast enough!

8. Weird depressing dreams

by , 02-11-2013 at 10:14 PM (Life's Dream Accounts)
Okay, so I've been struggling to keep up with my moods lately and have been very moody and depressed.

The dream I had started out where I was with my aunt and her husband around about at-least seven years ago when they were still together. I was with them on some road trip for some reason and I had no idea were we where headed. We stopped with my uncle who got out of the car and said he was going to get some food I had some money so I gave it to him to pay for my side of the meal and he just took off and left me and my cousins in the car. It had been a long time and I still didn't see him coming. A couple of times the car would role out of its place from the parking lot we were parked in and would role sideways and out of control. I once got out of the car to fix it from rolling around like a ball. I propped it up on the side of the hill and then it finally stayed. One of my cousins mentioned "what if it rolls down this hill we are sitting on top of" I just shrugged and said we were good as we were.

Okay next dream

I was watching Final fantasy cut-scenes from all of the video games and was starting to feel sad that so much time had passed since I first started playing the games. Then all of the sudden I was looking at these tiny people who had purple hats on they were running alongside this draped long material. It was almost like I was watching a wedding and then all these tiny people were part of the dress. The other part to watching this was that this was supposed to be a final fantasy characters wedding and she had little children that were the small people with purple hats helping her with her dress.

9. Biological Weapons Should Be Handled With Care

by , 02-11-2013 at 09:10 PM (Golden Tales From The Dream World)
Dream
Lucid
Semi-Lucid

There wasn't anything really special about this dream.
Though my friend Hudson doesn't typically make an appearance in my dreams.
An interesting note is that throughout this dream I was frightened or on edge,
which is odd because I really should have been, considering the given situation.
Other than that this was a pretty typical dream.

February 5th 2013

I was apparently a part of some sort of criminal organization.
Our base was at a fort, similar to the one in red dead redemption called fort mercer.
I'm living through someone else's eyes.
I'm at a little carriage.
Apparently one of our members was misbehaving or something, so to punish him, they cut off his lower half.
I can clearly see his spine sticking out as he frantically crawls around.
(this is horrifying in retrospect but dream me is hardened mother fucker it seems)
Now the others, including myself, are afraid that the same will happen to us if we are to screw up too.
I transition into my room. I'm with my friend hudson, also a part of the same organization.
With him he has two biological weapons, one powerful enough to wipe out a city, the other powerful enough to wipe out all humans on earth.
We need to deliver the two of them to someone else, something were eager to do since we're pretty nervous about carrying them.
We decide to hide the smaller one in the shell of a zippo lighter, I think hudson held onto the other.
I accidentally dropped the zippo. I panicked, thinking that the vial inside had cracked.
I quickly examined it and my fears were held at bay, its case was still secure.
Hudson then took his own lighter and began to make adjustments to my zippo with it, burning certain parts and putting holes in certain parts of the casing.
I had no problems with this, in my head these modifications were necessary. Then we were off to deliver.
Then I woke up.

10. My Boss is My DG, Cupid's Stupid, and The Train Story. (DILD)

by , 02-11-2013 at 08:51 PM (Ophelia's Book O' Fun II)
The trouble with waking up after a DILD, then going back to sleep for hours without journaling, is that when it's time to sit down and write this all down, I've forgotten alot. I even forgot the details on how I got lucid, so annoying. But I'll put down what I can recall.

My usual 7am ish WBTB. Took me a while to get back to sleep. I kept drifting off and waking up from dreamless sleep for what felt like an hour or more. I do remember some HI with me walking down a hall and stopping to talk with a woman. I think a dream formed around that scene, because I remember feeling like I was actually in that hallway, instead of just kinda thinking about it while in that HI state. I opened my mouth to speak, then I thought to myself "Hey, I was just trying to fall asleep not moments ago, I'm dreaming!" So I instantly thought of the cupid task.

I'm not sure how much time or events went by before I bumped into the DC version of the bakery assistant manager, Brian. I've always gotten along really well with him in real life. When I saw him in the dream, he said he was going to help me achieve the TOTM. (Interesting side note: While in this dream, I believed that in real life, Brian and I had had a conversation about using him as a DG in my next LD, as long as I don't do anything sexual with him. I believe this idea came from me reading a member's journal where a DC version of his mom helped him not wake up during the clock task. Anyway, this conversation with Brian had actually occurred in a nonlucid I had prior to this DILD, but I didn't realize this fully until I had woken up. Weird ja?!)

So DC Brian offers me his arm so that I can accompany him while we accomplish this task. I said, "Man, I'm so glad that you're here! I want you to be my DG from now on. I can't wait to tell your real life counterpart that his idea worked!" And DC Brian nodded and said "Yeah, that'll be cool!" DC Brian is the best DC ever! No biting, and he didn't explode even though he fully understood that he's just a DC.

Anyway, we're still wandering around halls in some building, and he tells me to turn right into a classroom. There was a hot guy in there. Brian asked me, "Do you want him?" I said "Hell yeaaaaah! I just need to find cupid to shoot the arrow." Then he said "Turn around and look behind you," (a la CanisLucidus style, I thought to myself). There was a doofy looking kid sitting on his mother's lap in a chair. No wings though, and no bow and arrow. Pfffft. "Oh well," he said. He gave me his arm again, and we wandered off to have more adventures. I didn't mind the task failure so much, because now I had a dream buddy. Never had one before, I always went at everything alone without any help.

We ended up in the basement of the building, and a thought occurred to me: "Hey Brian, sometimes a wolf named Shadow visits my LDs, I'll see if I can call him." I called the name, and 3 different dogs appeared before the fluffy, yellow-eyed Shadow appeared. Me and Brian pet him for a while I think. Then I thought I'd show off even more and show him that I can fly. "Hey Brian, wanna see me fly? Brian?" I couldn't see him anymore, but he still answered me. "I'm outside." So I went out the door, and there were other people there, but no Brian. I kept calling him, and he'd say "I'm right over here." Some of the people would even point to where he was, but I just couldn't see him anymore. Oh well, so I flew a bit for the other people. One of them said, "I'm only impressed when you guys fly up into the clouds, like Superman." But I don't like going that high up, too scary haha. Then I saw some snow and played in it a while, and covered myself up in it, before
I finally woke up.

I do remember thinking a few times in that dream, "Wow, I've been lucid for a while." It was a really clear and vivid LD too overall. Not bad for a DILD. I'm still having a hell of a time conjuring characters. Animals I can do, but people? Hrmmm.. something to work on.

I'll post the train story later, I've been typing for like an hour and I got other stuff to do.

by , 02-11-2013 at 08:16 PM (Scionox's Journal of Dreams)
Dream 1(Fragment):

I was in some city with spherical roofs, there's something's going on.

Dream 2:

I was watching some video of someone playing S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and using some sort of glitch to fly on helicopters. During the glitch, helicopter animation was glitching as well and player character stands on top of it. That player uses it to get into various areas and to get many shortcuts available, though the use was very limited since helicopter disappears after getting off from it. Dream skips.
I was playing some sort of custom map in Far Cry, there was place with lots of attack and transport helicopters and i had only 8 rockets in my rocket launcher. The area was pretty mountainous but really flat between the mountains. I haven't had much problems dealing with first two attack helicopters, but when i started getting closer to some sort of enemy base, the attack and transport helicopter appeared in group. Suddenly i recalled that i have played this map before, but trigger on when helicopter appears was much closer to base that time. I end up missing the attack helicopter with my rocket launcher a few times, the transport helicopter unloads nearby, but i find place behind the mountain far enough for enemy group AI to have trouble navigating to me.
The Helicopter that was attacking me starts behaving strange in it's motions and i have only 2 rockets left, shortly helicopter turns into some sort of VTOL. I end up missing it both times and now out of ammo for my rocket launcher. I retreat behind the mountain and start search for ammo, dream ends shortly.

12. Fleeing Innocent

by , 02-11-2013 at 07:09 PM
I've been here before. The streets look exactly the same from the last time I dreamed of this place. The sun was out and the streets were busy, or at least I felt that they were.

Me and this other girl were walking over to a mechanic's tool workhouse. Last time I was here, I tried to start a plane and fly out of the area. Me and this other girl were talking about random stuff before we got there. It didn't feel like the good, friendly talk.

I turned my back on this girl. She said something offensive to me, so I decided to run away from her on the spot. I ran towards the mechanic's shop and jumped up to see if I could fly away. It only worked for a while. As I was beginning to slowly ascend higher and higher, I slowly came back to the ground. The girl started coming after me, I didn't want to get caught.

There was a dock next to us. I was going to dump her in to the water and hoped she died. When I came down from the air, I used all my force to push her down there. It didn't work. She was still chasing me afterwards.

I quickly ran and ran until I got to a place where I knew she wouldn't catch me. I walked up to two double doors and quickly opened them using the 'e' button on the keyboard(strange, I know right). After I got through so many sets of double doors, I finally reached the outside streets.

This outside street, it looked nice. It kind of reminded me of the streets in France but instead of French people there was Asians. The Asians didn't feel to mean in this dream. There was actually one Asian woman in red who greeted me in to this area as soon as I entered it. There was a big field when I walked outside. It was really green, so I'm guessing it was a rich neighborhood.

Seeing how there is a lot of open space in this area and the buildings were too high for me to jump on, I ran to the golf course to my left. The girl was almost there. I thought about flying on to one of the buildings but felt she could still catch me. I then rested next to the sidewalk of the golf course and waited for the girl to come to me. I woke up a few seconds later.
13. February 11th 2013 Non-Lucid

by , 02-11-2013 at 06:12 PM (Deep Inside The Lucid Dreamer's Subconscious)
Where I was before seems to be out of my reach, but what I can remember it starts as me being late to school. In real life I can walk to and from school through this neighborhood and then a forest. In the dream I know I'm late to school so I start riding this bike in the same forest in real life. I ride up onto this hill that looks down over a small creek that separates me from the path up to school. To the right of me I see some person who I can't remember riding a small pony who is also late like me. I laugh and tell them that they are going to be late. I'm concerned about riding my bike to school because I don't have a lock so it could get stolen. At the top of the hill are maybe 6 bikes laying on the ground, so I assume there are students who don't have locks so they hide their bikes in the forest for safety. Somehow I end up outside my school at the back with this small black scooter thing that's really a bent piece of metal. I send a text to someone in my first period class of math which irl I took last year. My friend Austin has his truck in the parking lot behind the school so I jump into the bed of it but then realize I have to go somewhere else.

I appear at my Dad's house with my mom apparently looking to buy the house. We are upstairs and as we start to walk down the stairs we hear something else and my mom and I presume it's a ghost. Some girl walks out from a basement door which doesn't exist irl and we sigh because there really isn't a ghost. After seeing that girl I look back upstairs for a ghost not finding anything but having this spooked feeling. We go downstairs and then I say I can't find my wallet so I assume I dropped it when I jumped into my friend's truck. I end up there looking around and then I'm at some random house wanting to go back to school. I look at my mom and tell her that I'm going back for second period to be in show choir. I don't really remember, but I think I ended up at school.

The last dream I had was in this restaurant I go to a lot IRL except the outside of the place was an old house in a downtown neighborhood. This group of like 5 people walk in, all being guys except for one girl. The cashier hands me the receipt to sign and put a tip on it, so I write "1.69$" as I looked at this girl. I sit down at a booth and for some reason the girl ends up seeing that I wrote "69" and now she wants to get with me. The group of guys and this girl walk by me and the girl stares at me reluctantly as they all walk through the exit door. Somehow I'm suddenly in the game World of Warcraft talking to one of the guys from the group asking if I could have the girl's number.

Date: February 11, 2013 ||| Time Block: 6:30 AM to 7:30 AM ||| Length: 5 minutes. ||| Lucidity: level 2. ||| Entry Type: DILD ||| Major Methods: WBTB, SSILD

Methods: stayed in bed, (after thinking about stuff after a natural awakening from having set my alarm), for the second half of my night sleep; performed around 3 SSILD cycles before falling asleep.

Account:
I was lying in my bed. Somehow I knew that time had passed since the last time I was conscious. I did a reality check, and discovered I was dreaming.

At this I stood up, and clapped my hands a few times, I don't know exactly why but I think to turn the lights on or increase clarity. It didn't really work. I yelled something out, and walked out of my bedroom. I saw the light on downstairs, and I followed it. Now in the hall next to our dining room, I walk up next to my three sisters. I take a pause and try to remember what I wanted to do. I remember I want to try a test or skill that I can do wherever I am, so I don't need to worry about being in the right location to get better at it. I think of the fireball releasing capabilities. I try breathing into my hands in a weird way, I guess because I figured abnormal acts would be more likely to do something. That didn't work, so I figured I would just ask my sisters some questions. I walked up to Grace, and tried to ask her a question, but both she and Monica had headphones on loudly, and they refused to listen despite my insistence. So I gave up and turned to Chrissy. I asked her, "Chrissy, what is the purpose of life?" She responded with a utilitarian-type response, about achieving the greatest good for the greatest number, except I don't think using these specific terms. She actually finished the thought in one form, but then paused, and resaid it in another way. They were actually fully coherent. I think I said some things, and then she explained a slightly different view, that our purpose is simply to reduce "throughout the world" the amount of suffering as greatly as we can. I then talked with her on this, continuing the thought that "which will also naturally lead to greater happiness", with her agreeing, and then we went on. Eventually, we ended, and I looked for something else to ask. 'Hey, there's a calculator.' I then picked it up, and pressed a few buttons, which it somehow knew to mean, 'What is the meaning of life?'. I was just waking up, but I saw it spit out the numbers, ".06" on the first display, and "49" on the second. So ".0649", apparently. Cool, I always thought it was 42.

I woke up back in bed, and I instantly did a reality check. Aha, still dreaming. I went out of my bedroom, but I think I was wandering in the dark for a while. I remember that at some point, not knowing where I was, I saw a light flick on and I was in the sink room of our house in Wisconsin. Chrissy had apparently just turned it on. I said thank you, and we had a short discussion on something that I don't remember anymore. I then walked out into the living/dining room of our old house, and saw another calculator sitting on the island. I picked it up immediately, trying to ask it again about the meaning of life. I was trying to figure out how to ask it, when I thought of the number keys having letter equivalents. 'Oh, there they are.' My thoughts had made them appear just beneath the numbers, you know, the three letter combinations like "MNO". I actually spelled out "meaning of life", the entire thing, using these buttons, except I had the benefit of it knowing what letter I wanted out of the three each time. Anyway, I finished the phrase, and pressed the Enter button. It then displayed a menu, actually, with what looked like branches of philosophy. Oh man, I could get the same thing online. It didn't really give me a tangible answer, just statistical data and such. I tried navigating through it, but it was like an encyclopedia. Eventually, my dream faded.

Now back in bed, I did a reality check. 'Hmmm…' I couldn't really tell, the feeling in my airways when plugging my nose, was just at the point where it was inconclusive of whether I felt air pass through it or not. I yelled out something like, "Am I asleep?" to Chrissy, which of course didn't make any sense for a number of reasons. I somehow didn't find it unusual that I knew intuitively she was in another room with Dad, and heard her yell back to stop yelling. So instead I thought to myself, "Fine", as if that settled whether I was really dreaming or not. I then tried to remember my dream. But then after a few seconds, for some reason I stopped. And I stared at that text. 'Yeah, that bold, black text on the front of that tab, in that browser bar. I can know if I'm awake based on what that looks like.' So I stared at it, not realizing it made no sense to be visible, and I noticed one oddity, that it was bolder than tab-text usually was. This wasn't enough to make me realize I was dreaming, though. But enough that I thought, 'If this were a dream, I need to remember what this feels like right now.' I tried feeling my body lying in bed, and all the contact points with the blanket, pillow, and bed. And you know what, it was coherent and felt quite normal. But I did notice, that my body felt just a twinge more 'embedded' within the bed than I realized was normal. But again, this wasn't enough for me to realize I was dreaming, and I went back to trying to remember my dream. Within a few more seconds, I repositioned myself, and I felt something change. I then did a reality check, and I knew that I had just awoken from a false awakening. It's hard to explain how I knew; I believe it was the return of rationality, in a tangible way. You can feel when your ability to reason returns to you, by what could be described as a 'sharpness' or 'rigidness' of thoughts and concepts. It's that reality is more clear to you, suddenly. Anyway, at this point I realized that the dream account I had been forming within the dream had been lost, and virtually none of the dream was within my active memory. So I stayed in bed for a few more minutes, trying to re-remember the dream. I then turned back on my computer and wrote it all down on here, which I am only now just finishing.

15. RCs within dream.

by , 02-11-2013 at 03:42 PM
In the main dream I've just pulled a blonde that looks like Cameron Diaz and she's on top kissing me. Then suddenly she turns nasty and turns out to be actually a demon that continuously tries to choke and strangle me. I run away and get a ghost hunter/exorcist who's got equipment to detect her. We're in the bathroom of my Dad's house as they look for her and I'm thinking something's amiss then I look through the glass panel on top of the bathroom door I see her grinning evilly at me, almost telepathically telling me she's put a spell on them so they can't detect her. She comes after me then I false awaken.

In this part of the dream I have a wife and am glad everything's ok. At some point I realise my wife is actually the demon from the original part of the dream. I think about if this is a dream and do a reality check, sticking my finger against my hand. It doesn't go through, but I can tell from the skin bubbles that pop out in the air that I'm not in reality. Immediately I false awaken again before the demon can get me again.

This time I'm in my bedroom, a false version of my bedroom. I reality check straight away, but don't notice anything amiss. The skin bubbles aren't there and I guess I've done that one in the real world too much. I mosy around thinking about what I'll do for the day and then abruptly actually awoke. I didn't actually RC again, I could tell from the intensity that I was awake.

I'm finding it hard to call that a lucid dream - I think the best description of it is as fully lucid at 2 brief moments. Nevertheless, using RCs in dreams is a breakthrough as I can see the challenge in using them to become fully lucid and in control. I've been decreasing my use of them a lot lately and I think I'll take that a step further by only using them in dreams if possible. Also preferable is to take control - part of me let the demon take charge in the 2nd part of my dream.

The fully lucid dream I had last week has one similarity in the sensation of actually awakening, which is way more amazing than from a non-lucid dream.
