    1. 05/05/2013 - searching for the terrifying woman; anxiety at the mall

by , 05-05-2013 at 02:57 PM (vignettes from a different world)
haven't updated my dj for a while.. got lazy. have to get back into the habit. this was a very long dream and my descriptions don't really do justice to the feelings of absolute terror it inspired at points.

i dreamt that i lived in a big house with some other teenagers. occasionally my boyfriend came over. we played video games and cuddled and it was very good. i remember feeling anxious about how to arrange our next meeting.
then i was walking around downtown. it was sunny out. some store had gone out of business and they were giving away their furniture. i found a large bed, whose bottom panel comprised several dressers. i opened each of the dressers and i discovered very elaborate blankets and dresses, as well as some scraps of paper.
there was writing on the paper. although it was in "polish", i was able to understand it. (i don't know any polish). the words frightened me. i cannot remember what they said but the content was very paranoid, surreal and fragmented. it chilled me to the bone.
i went in search of the woman to whom the bed & these papers belonged. (she was an old decrepit polish woman with long grey-brown hair.) i was wandering through downtown at night. i remember also seeing medieval-style maps of eastern europe that the woman had made. an atmosphere of visceral horror pervades this dream segment.
i finally found the woman. at first i was terrified of her and i tried to hide from her as one might try to evade a bear. later i took pity on her and invited her to a formal dinner with some of the people from the dream house. she wouldn't eat at first but i got her to eat a small amount.
then i got into a car with a man in his late 20s and we drove around downtown, which was now sunny. there were two mario figurines in... uh... the little things on the inside of car doors where you can store tiny stuff. one of the figurines toppled over and turned into a waluigi figurine with oddly coloured, very dark (but not black) clothes. when this happened to the second figurine i knew the polish woman was dead. i felt relieved.
we knew that some scrawny ginger guy was responsible for her death and we took a different route home to avoid him. when i was home my boyfriend was there and we decided to go to a café called "the simoleon". this café was buffet-style: they had many sweets on offer and you could load up your plate with as many as you wanted. i ate a weird pudding thing and it tasted good.
next my boyfriend and i went to the mall. he wanted to buy a watch. there were two stores that sold watches, an absurdly expensive designer store and american eagle. the watches were bands of engraved black leather with detachable clock pendants that hung down from the leather band. my boyfriend went into american eagle while i tried to steal one of the expensive watches. i could not steal them because they were attached to the display rack with strong magnets.
i joined my boyfriend in american eagle but when i tried to leave the alarm went off. i hadn't actually stolen anything so i was confused. some people took me into the back of the mall to interview me. they thought i had tampered with mail? one of the people commented to the other that they had heard me talking about incest and even if i hadn't done anything they should arrest me for that.
at one point i became half-lucid and sort of willed the dream to become less stressful. i walked away from the interview and entered the "back" of the mall, which was where all the extra items were stored. i went into the luxury store and looked around. i also recall going into a store called "HERON CLOTHES" which sold low-quality clothes with small embroidered emblems of forest animals (no herons though). the dream ended shortly after.
    2. Talking to Myself

      by , 05-05-2013 at 01:29 PM
This lucid dream was very unusual for me because it occurred less than 25 minutes after falling asleep, right at the beginning of the night.

      Lucid #91: Talking to Myself

I'm seated at a restaurant, talking to a couple of friends, including "Leroy". I'm making a point about some amusing fact I'd heard when a waiter seats himself at the fourth chair at our table. I say, "There's even this study where..." and trail off when I realize that the waiter isn't going away. I turn to him and say, "Uh, how's it going?"

"It's going well," he says. "I was wondering if you needed anything." He says this last part with some concern, like I might be very unwell.

I look back at the rest of the table and see that my friends are gone. I'm confused and a little embarrassed. "Were there two other people here...?" I ask. The waiter gravely shakes his head. I start worrying about myself for a moment before realizing
this is all a dream. "Don't even worry about it. This is a dream."

"Ah, very good, sir," he says, standing from the table and gesturing toward the exit.

I get up from the table and walk toward the exit. There's a glow coming pouring through the cracks at the edge of the door as if something as bright as a star was behind it. I phase through the door, winding up in a room that has plywood flooring and a ceiling that's sloped like the top of a roof. It looks like an attic. At the opposite end of the room, maybe 25 feet away, I see the source of the light: a fiery, brightly glowing furnace.

I walk toward the furnace as it spits these little gobs of liquid fire onto the floor. I'm close now, but I don't feel any heat. As I close to within just a couple of feet, the view of the furnace fades and I find myself on a set of sharply descending stairs. Each stair is only about 4 inches long but drops almost 2 feet. As I walk down them, I'm descending so fast that it's almost like slowly falling into a pit. I can't see where I'm going. I wind up stepping onto the railing and slowly making my way down that way. Somehow that seems to normalize the slope of my descent.

I get to the bottom of the stairs and I'm in what looks like a family room with hardwood flooring. There's a board game laid out on the floor. The dream starts to fade around the edges, but I manage to hold onto my view of the board game for a couple more seconds, seeing that it's composed of a game board, a stand with some cards, and some sort of gently-spinning purple sphere. I can no longer move and my field of vision shrinks rapidly until
      I'm awake.

    3. Creature in tank

      by , 05-05-2013 at 11:41 AM
I have a new habit of writing down before sleep a few things to watch out for during sleep, elements for my day that are likely to make their way into my dreams:

For example last night due to that thread on lucifer followers on DV, I was expecting to maybe dream of the devil or something like that, and I was all ready to face him and tell him that he is not real if I became lucid. Lol

Instead I dreamed about cleaning my fish tank. Of course, I should have realized that the guilt over postponing the water change yesterday would get into my dream! Alas, I did not become lucid.

My fish tank in my dream was not at all like in real life. It had some sort of skull decoration, which was buried under something else - a hidden skeleton? It had yellow sand and tree roots. I did not quite see or don't remember what creature lived in my dream fish tank, but I have the sense that it was quite inappropriate for a tank this size and maybe even for a tank at all. (For all i know with all my kitten dreams lately, it might have been a kitten.) I was trying to remove things that leach calcium into the water before refilling the tank (this is due to my trying to sort out in reality how to adjust alkalinity to suit snails, but actually they probably need more calcium not less).

Another dream fragment: I also dreamed something about left hand and upper hand.

    4. Defending my house fight with 2 men

      by , 05-05-2013 at 11:32 AM
I was in my kitchen making some food downstairs and I saw some strange looking man outside, he had black slicked back hair and a ragged shirt. I went outside to confront him and he had a friend, they were coming towards me slowly and I put my guard up. I started to get really angry that these men were on my property and wouldn't explain themselves so I told them I had a crow-bar inside the door and if they tried anything I'd knock them out. Then my friend Zak came out from my house and joined me, (Zak's like as buff as a freaking lion just FYI) so then I knew we could take them easily, I punched the left one in the jaw and he got knocked out cold, Zak started to fight the other. I can't remember the rest of the fragment.
    5. Day 1

      by , 05-05-2013 at 08:01 AM
I went to bed with the hopes of just remembering my dreams. I never really remember any of my dreams unless they are special to me like having people in them that are special or events that are special. These dreams only happen like once every other month but they plague for for a few days after that during the time I am awake.

So, I went to bed at around 11:45 pm. I acutally laid down at 10 or so but just couldn't sleep right away because of my excitement. I kep telling myseld I would remember my dreams over and over.

I woke up a couple times around the morning hours. I am not sure exactly when but the first time I woke, I could remember two different dreams. The first one, I was a security guard at a hotel resort. I think it was in Maui because I lived there for around 6 years when I was young and my mother worked at the Hyatt so we would go there as kids to the swimming pool. It didn:t look exactly the same but it was in that style. For some reason which I unfortunately can't fully remember I lost my job. A crime was commited that I should have stopped but I didn't. Not because I didn't want too but because I couldn't. The foyer of the hotel and the swimming pool were the main areas of the dream, it was alot of back and forth between the two. I can't remember the end of the dream either.

The second dream I completely forgot but I know I remembered it the first time I woke up. I can remember recalling what had happened in it before I fell asleep again so I mark that one down as a win also.

I fell back asleep for a few hours and after I woke up, I was able to recall two more dreams. The exciting part is that I was able to vividly recall parts of these dreams.

The first one started off with me being in a place somewhere in the UK. I know because of the police uniforms and telephone booths.^^ They all looked funny. I was waiting on a bus or a taxi at the corner of a busy intersection and there were alot of people around me on this corner and accross the street there was a group of police officers. I got irritated because I couldn't get one (bus or taxi) so I thought I needed to climb up higher to get a better view. There was a row of four telephone booths to the right of me so I started climbing one. As I was climbing it just kept getting taller until it was around 12 meters high. I finally reached the top and as soon as I did it tipped over falling onto the other booths beside it and people that were atanding there. It threw me accross the street where I landed directly in front of the police on the other side of the road. I stood up and at that point they started chasing me. This is where it got kind of blurry and I don't remember alot of the middle of the dream but I can remember the end very well. I was in NY (at least I think it was) and I was working as a construction guy kind of on the hide-out from the police who were still loking for me because apparently the telephone booth fell on someone and killed him/her. One of my co-workers had gotten me fired, I think he found out what happened and ratted me out. There was also a lady in the dream that was significant in some way but I don't know who she was. I recall bieng at a construction site after the fact in a parking garage where there was a small fenced room where people got thier tools for the day and the guy that had ratted me out was inside handing out the tools for the day. When it was my turn to get tools (even though I had already been fired, not sure why but thats dreams for you) the guy started arguuing with me. The lady was standing next to me. I think she was also interacting with him and me but I can't recall it. The guy ended up handing me a piece of rebar which I took and beat him over the head with. I'm sorry that this is violent now but it is what it is. I think I hit him twice or so and that was it. I think he was out for the count.

The next dream took place on a train set in a WWII type of atmosphere. I was on a train with other soldiers and we were on our was to battle. One of the soldiers on the train had a baby that was in a victorian type buggy with the sweeping curved bars and the big wheels. Really fancy baby carraige. The train was moving very fast and hectic. Jumping and swerving and it felt like the train was in the middle of the battle. The father was sitting on the right side of the buggy and there was another guy on the left side. Both of them were trying to hold the buggy but it was rolling and bouncing and they weren't doing a very good job keepin it under control so I felt as if I had to help. I ran up towards the back of it and laid down on the floor wrapping my legs around the bottom of it and grabbing the handles. At that point an explosion occured at the front of our train car sending it in a front flip and throwing all of us through the air. The baby was thrown out of the carraige and I actually cought it in the air in a front flip motion. When I landed, it was actually on top of the baby and I thought it was dead. I thought that I must have crushed and killed it after landing on top of it but as I rolled over, I noticed it was still alive so I stood up quickly. I looked around and realized that I was in the middle of the battlefield and there were enemy soldiers all around in front of me. At that point I woke up.

I exceeeded my expectations on my very first day of this process and I am really excitied to see where my dreams take me. I though I wasn't going to be able to remember my dreams and to my surprise I actually remembered 4 different dreams and was able to write three pages in my dream journal after waking up.

    6. 5.03.13 - Dreaming about RC

      by , 05-05-2013 at 04:47 AM
[Worked 8am Friday morning until 3am Saturday morning. Got home around 3:30am, sleep by 3:45am. No alarms set. Woke for work at 6:30am.]

Through this site, I have become familiar with RC and I'm having trouble deciding on one that I feel I might remember in a dream. I wear a certain ring that has a spinning middle piece with Roman numerals 1 through 12 that I have almost certainly decided to use for RCs. However, I forgot to put it back on yesterday after my shower so I went all day without it.

Then I had a dream last night that didn't have much plot or detail to it. I remember someone else being there with me but they didn't say or do anything - they were just there. Almost immediately I suspected I was dreaming but I wanted to make sure. I was scrambling about looking for something I do but everything I thought of didn't work. I think I was touching things to see if they felt real and looking at things to make sure they were right. I'm almost certain nothing looked or felt right, but I thought it was fine all the same. Because I couldn't figure out I was dreaming, I sort of gave up and fell into a deep sleep.

I tend to think I was only dreaming about lucid dreaming because everything was so obviously off I'm sure I would have recognized it as a dream immediately if I were actually conscious. I could be wrong but only practice and time will tell.

    7. Vivid Space War, Cat vs Snake

by , 05-05-2013 at 03:50 AM (Lucid Time!)
The first thing i remember was a huge green gas planet. A horde of silver and orange alien craft encircling the planet in a ring, and beginning to transfer off and come toward me. Someone was yelling "Zerg rush! Zerg rush!"
Boom! I'm piloting this huge space battleship, standing up on a bridge. People are all around me sitting on computers and talking into headsets. There is this huge panoramic view of a chaotic battle taking place above the surface of the planet. I can control the ship by moving two levers while standing up. I can also give just about any command.
We are above an earth-like planet, with clouds and oceans and a rocky surface. It looks a little more desert-like than earth.
I should note that the dream (Despite being nonlucid) was very vivid, especially the view of the planet.
As we enter the atmosphere and come near the ground, I am careful not to let us hit any mountains. I notice that there are only a few other ships, and they all look very similar to the one I am piloting, at-least in their styling and shape. There are also a few small jet fighter type craft buzzing the larger ships and firing weapons.
I notice that there is a small control screen in front of me with a meter for the ship. It was sort of like a health bar from a video game, and when it hit the bottom. The ship was at about 50% health.
I look off to my left, at about ten o'clock. There is one of our ships, but it's much larger and more complex than the others. It's crashed into the ground on an angle so that the very front is pointed right at us.
The commander of the giant ship radios me. He says to get out of the way, and that even though his ship is down he's about to fire the main gun.
I begin to maneuver. But I am too late, the gun fires. My own ship gets rocked and begins to break up and crash into the ground. The huge panoramic window in-front of me shatters, and I willingly jump out.
I land in a fighter-craft, and fly low over the surface. I am pursued by enemy fighters, and proceed to eject. As I slowly come down, on a parachute, the dream nearly fades to black, but somehow continues.

I remember when I land, I am in the woods behind my neighborhood. None of the trees have leaves, so it must be wintertime. My youngest cousin is there, and he tells me about how he is working on experiments with shared daydreaming, where daydreams exist in real life or something to do with lucid dreaming.
      It was complicated.
Anyways, he asks me to create a mouse. I place my hand on the ground and lift it up. Sure enough, a small gray mouse scurries out from under my hand and along a fallen branch. (Yipee, nonlucid dream control!)
Then he tells me that here is the real challenge. I have to create a cat. Ok, easy. I create a cat without any real thought. The same thing that happens when I create something in a lucid dreams (It starts out as a blue hologram, then converts to solid matter.) It turns out to be a black tabby with brown markings. The cat is also sitting on a small piece of cloth spread out on the forest floor, though it's only big enough for the cat.
My cousin creates a snake and says that the cat will fight the snake. It is a very small green snake. The cat and the snake have a very long battle, spending most of the time simply hissing at one another. The snake occasionally goes into this hole in the ground, but the hole is big enough that the cat can go in to.
Eventually the snake bites the cat on its front leg. I cast an invincibility spell on the cat, in hopes that the cat will not die. (Keep in mind, I was never actually lucid.) After awhile longer, I got bored and started to leave.
My cousin followed me. I started to tell him about lucid dreaming, and how I was using my lucid dream construction powers to create a dream base. I held up my hand, and the digital-style holograms presenting information filled the space around us. I don't think he could see them.
The last thing I could remember was a very young boy ran past me crying. He had long brown hair and a jacket. He looked back at me with a very hurt look as though I had betrayed him or something.

    8. 5 - 4 - 2013 Foggy but...

      by , 05-05-2013 at 03:45 AM
I feel I had dreams but I don't remember them. I only remember briefly that I was on Facebook, and the woman that I've been messaging sent a reply. Reading the words made no sense (It looked like "gdg zxfgh $6l;") but I knew what they said. Basically, they were direct responses to a message I sent in real life to this person a few days ago. In real life I've gotten no reply yet.

    9. Half awake, half asleep state, and the Mortal Instruments

      by , 05-05-2013 at 03:32 AM
I've heard of this half asleep thing happening to a lot of people, but this is the first time it happened to me, so it was quite interesting.

Before going to bed, I was reading City of Glass, and my dream somewhat matched that xD

I was with my best friend, and we were in this dark house. It was night, and I don't know why there were no lights on, but something happened to my friend and she was badly hurt. I had a stele in my pocket, and quickly drew a healing rune on her arm, but it didn't seem to be working. I was really frustrated, and just wanted it to end, because the dark was starting to scare me (if you read any of my older entries you'd know that i have a weird fear of darkness in dreams, for some odd reason) and eventually, I woke up. kind of.

I had my right eye fully open, and my left eye was half open, but i couldn't move. My lamp was on, but my room seemed dark. I was still thinking of the dream in my head, playing it out without seeing anything. I kept telling myself to wake up, that I was already half awake, then thought, wait. I can turn this into a lucid.. all i have to do is shut my eyes... but then i decided i didn't want to because i knew that i wouldn't be able to banish the darkness around me, and that it would only be worse for me, so i stayed in that state for a few more minutes before i finally forced my eye open the rest of the way, and the room came into focus properly. When i sat up, my body still felt weird, like it was still partially asleep. I looked around for a minute before deciding to go back to sleep (lol) but yeah. very weird xD
    10. Desperate Measures

      by
      Hyu
      , 05-05-2013 at 02:27 AM (Hyu's Adventures)
I arrive in Haven with the hopes of plotting against the Templars.
Although I have no new ideas on how to approach the situation, Silver might.

He joined us just a few days ago, because I put off asking him until then.
After attempting to make Ifrit join our cause, which failed quite dramatically,
I did not have the confidence to ask Silver.

Silver had done so much already, not to mention his horrible childhood.
He deserves to rest... to enjoy life a little. I shouldn't burden him with my issues.
But I ended up visiting him anyways, because I felt lost completely.
I'm not sure what I was expecting when Yuya and I got to the place he lives at now.
Talking to him again ended up being a little awkward. I wasn't really sure what to talk about.
Right as I managed to muster enough courage to address the topic of the Templars
I saw something that completely threw me off.
A woman entered the house holding a baby. She nodded at us and continued upstairs.
I realized Silver had a family now.
I made up an excuse to leave. I could never ask him to join us,
not after knowing Silver was finally at peace with himself.
But as we left he told us to hold on.
He ran upstairs and shortly after returned with his katana strapped to his back...
It turned out that he had read in my eyes that I needed his help.
I tried to talk him out of it but I failed.

So here he is now, standing in Yuya's garden next to a table, a place where we like to sit down
and discuss tactics. He is talking to Yuya and another person I don't think I have met.
Yuya's expression worries me quite a bit.

      "What's wrong?"
      "... It's about Vega."

Given the way she said it, something terrible must have happened there.
Vega is a small village which we often visit to go to a Café called Serenity.

It's situated on top of some sort of structure extending over the village.
An amazing place to stargaze whilst under the influence of some kind of psychedelic drug Vega is known for.

      "What happened?"
      "It's gone."

It is clear to me now that the other person with us is a messenger who informed her about the terrible news.
He tells us that I need to go and see. Yuya draws a portal and we enter it together with Silver.

The remains of Vega are in flames. They are small in numbers, they must have been burning for some time.
A man points towards Café Serenity, which still sits on top of the structure which appears to have withstood the fires.
He doesn't say anything though, he just walks away. Did he live in Vega?
We rush towards the Café, finding both of its owners outside.
Although the building still stands, it is heavily damaged and no longer in a usable state.
The owners tell me not to worry. That it is not my fault.
I enter the Café. Across the walls is written in burned wood:

"For as long as the dragon remains hidden, those that help protect him shall share his fate"

Templars... they've done this. Yuya hugs me in an attempt to console me.
They have killed these people because we are hiding from them. To show that if I do not reveal myself they will kill those that I know.

"They are right you know. This is not your fault..."
      "Yet I feel guilty"

I know that she's right. I couldn't know that they were going to do this. And even if I did, what was I supposed to do, sacrifice myself?
The owners of this Café were honest when they told me that they do not consider this my fault.
They know who I am and what I have done. But somehow the fact that they do not consider me guilty makes me feel even worse.

One thing is clear to me now though. The goals of the Templars have indeed changed.
Back in the old days they were attacking other worlds in order to steal something I have long forgotten.
They did not know who I was, and it was me that got in their way because I wanted to protect these worlds.
But this time they are not after the belongings of worlds. They are after me specifically.
This is very odd, considering that Templars have no concept of campanionship.
Yes, I have indeed killed one of them a long time ago, but they would not hunt me in an attempt of vengance.
They know no such thing. They see each-other as assets, not as brothers in arms.
Until now I assumed that they are attempting a pre-emptive strike. So that I can not interfere with their goals again.
But in that case I would be a secondary objective, and I am clearly not.

That is exactly what the voices said...
Recently, when I slept in Haven, I would hear voices during my dreams.
They would whisper things suggesting that "they" were after me only. That it was because of time? And that I cannot surrender.
The messages were rather cryptic, and I didn't pay much attention because until now my dreams whilst in this realm have always been
very abstract and not really meaningful. But now that I think about them I get a feeling that they might help me find a way to deal with the Templars.
      ...
My hopes lie with abstract and cryptic dreams I had within a dream. That is how desperate I am.
No. It's worse actually. If the Templars were here it means they are on the right track.
Surely they were able to force someone into telling them that we are hiding on Teraluna.
It won't take them long to find that place, even though Haven is heavily shielded and we are masking our auras.

      "They will find Teraluna..."

Both Yuya and Silver look at me rather depressed. I am the one who always comes up with the plans. They are relying on me for a strategy to save Teraluna... to beat the Templars once and for all.
      And I've got nothing.

"Silver, knowing only the name of the moon, how long would it take you to find Teraluna?"

He's unreasonably good at finding things.
      He sighs.

"The location of Teraluna is a rather well kept secret. The library is of great importance, protecting it is easier if its location is not known."
"Unfortunately there are many stories about it, some of which hint at its location."
"If I would try hard enough I'd probably find it in less than a week."

Less than a week? How am I supposed to do anything within that time frame?
And it's not like evacuating Haven and going into hiding somewhere else is a solution without removing the Templar thread.
They would manage to hunt some of the inhabitants down somehow.
Not to mention the library. It is of great importance, and they would burn it to the ground.
And then there are other things... even more crucial things.
      Teraluna cannot fall.

The three of us combined aren't able to deal with a single Templar, yet there are 12 of them left.
Even if I had my dragon spirit and the phoenix essence back, it would be utterly hopeless.
And besides Ifrit I don't know anyone remotely as strong as us, yet I would need an army.
Perhaps death is catching up with me.

"Don't you dare even thinking about surrender."
      "... I won't."

Silver is looking at me, probably expecting me to reveal some kind of backup plan I had all along.
Something insane enough that it might just work. I've got nothing.
In my desperation I recall the voices I heard in those dreams.
For some reason I reach out with my aura, attempting to locate anything that reminds me of these voices.
As I catch myself doing this I ponder about how ridiculous this is.
That's not how scanning for auras works. You need to at least be able to guess how it would feel like to be
in proximity of a person in order to find someone through aura tracking.
But for some reason that is beyound me, at that very moment, I do find something.
It doesn't feel like a person though, and the feeling is very weak.

If I wasn't hiding from the Templars, I could probably pin the location down near instantly.
But that would involve releasing an amount of energy that cannot be hidden.
The Templars who are actively scanning for my aura would find me immediately.
That goes for all of us. The templars know all of our auras.
But there is someone else I know, who is rather talented in aura tracking.
He might be able to help me find... whatever this is.

      "Okay..."
      "So I might have..."

Silver and Yuya open their eyes wide in hope.
      Oh boy...

"Listen. This is a longshot... no, I wouldn't even call it a longshot."
"I have a lead alright. A lead to maybe find some sort of way to..."

They are euphoric. Are they not listening to my words? I don't have shit.

      ...
Fuck it. This is all I've got. If it turns out to be nothing then that's it.
      They are relying on me.

"I need to visit an old friend to help me track someone down."
"Until I do, I won't be sure on how to approach the situation."
"I assume there will be a grand battle though, so prepare yourselves accordingly."

      They both nod.

"I'll be back within less than three days."
      "In case I should fail..."
"Bullshit! When you come back you'll have a plan."
      "You always have a plan."

      No pressure...

"We'll evacuate Haven in case we need to make a last stand."
      "Yes."
"And I'll have my mother talk to Ifrit..."

      Somehow I doubt that'll help.

      "Hyu?"
      "Yeah?"
"... Don't you die on me, alright?"

      I smile.

      "Working on it!"

That extinguishes the last worries in her facial expression.
      I summon my phoenix wings.
Time to go annoy the hell out of an old friend of mine. Time to meet a talking bird.
I take off into the fabric of space.
    11. 3/5/2013 -Wing St. & Steak

      Pizza Race
I was at a very large hardware store. So I then went to the back to the restroom. Two gay guys came out, and I washed my hands. When I came out i saw a entrance to a restaurant. It was a Wingstreet restaurant. I asked the waiter if it was a Pizza Hut too. He said No, its called Wingstreet. Somehow I am seated with my family and we are served some food. I got steak which was pretty good, though it looked very pink. We left and in the car I said next time I wanted to get pizza and try some of the pasta. I got out of the car and challenged my dad a race home, with a car I found.

    12. Lucid dreaming~

      by , 05-05-2013 at 12:43 AM
I've decided to really try to have more lucid dreams. A while back I had one where I jumped from my bedroom window and flew down my street and thought 'wow' so I googled it and found more about it, but then sort of forgot.

I watched Inception the other week and that reminded me, so I have been keeping a dream journal since then. I normally remember my dreams quite well, and can go into loads of detail about dreams that I had years ago. But I read that it can help to notice dream signs and other such things.

Anyway, the reason for me joining this site tonight is due to the (almost) lucid dream I had last night, out of nowhere. I had sort of forgotten about trying to have one until now.

What happened in the dream was that I was at some sort of prom/dance type event. Unfortunately I didn't write it down, so I don't really have all the details (I'll get back to that). In the end of the dream, I believe the host was fuming at me because I wore a purple and white dress, which I wasn't supposed to, since she was the only one allowed to wear that combination, and my dress was similar in pattern. Throughout the dream, if I ever saw myself in a reflective surface, I appeared as an old woman. I knew that no one else saw me this way (I don't know how I knew, but I did). At the end of the dream I went to a bathroom and caught sight of myself in a mirror again, looking old as ever when I thought "Hey, this isn't right. I'm not old. This must be a dream!" And then I looked at my left hand and my ring finger was missing. At this point I must have got excited, because everything started to spin and muddle up, and before my hand touched to rub them together I was lying awake in my bed. Well, I'm not actually sure I was awake. It may have been a false awakening. I checked, and all my fingers were there, but when I woke up for real it seemed a dream. Also, I thought I had written it down, but when I woke up properly, it wasn't in my notepad. Not sure what happened, but lets hope I have a real lucid dream sometime soon!
    13. The Procession

      by , 05-05-2013 at 12:00 AM
Apparently, in the dream, I was taking part of an odd parade procession. It felt like something I'd do for community service at the university, and I did recognize some classmates among the crowd of what I take were students. It was night time, and we congregated on a large enclosed field with overgrown grass, some of it reaching up to my knees. We were all carrying backpacks, and for some reason, I have a feeling that the procession had something to do with the movement of the planets. There was something that we were doing that was astronomy related, but I cannot remember what exactly. It just comes as a feeling.

So we all began to walk in a messy line and entered this large building whose inside reminded me a lot of my grandmother's house. We walked around in circles, into the house, back outside, into the house again. Occasionally, we would sit in an IMAX-kind of theater and watch a presentation or a video, and once again, I have a feeling it was astronomy related. At one point in time, we stayed outside and mingled. For whatever reason, I had apparently set my backpack down, and when it was time for us to move again, I left it there. So when we were inside the building, I realized my backpack was missing and I went back to get it. But when I went back outside, I was hit with a sort of deja vu, and realized that I was dreaming. By now, the skies had become lighter and were cloudy.

Giddy with the realization, I did what I always did in a lucid dream, which was to fly. So I spread my arms like wings, down-stroked, and took off. My first instinct was to summon a character, and decided I would try to have Sebastian (from Black Butler; I am a hopeless fan) appear. I tried to simply will him to appear, but the only thing that presented itself was a crow, which I took to be one of his forms. I began to follow the crow in the air and realized that it was flying in a weird slow-motion. I realized that the dream was decaying, so in attempt to keep it from falling apart further, I concentrated on the crow, and willed it to fly regularly. It worked for a while, but eventually, I wound up back in bed, awake.

This is the very first DILD I've had in over a month and I hope to have more.

    14. 04-05-13 Moon attempt #2

      by , 05-04-2013 at 11:39 PM (Floatinghead's dream adventures)
I am walking in a valley, mountains surround me when I realise I am dreaming - so I walk to the nearest wall. I call for my dreamguide

      'Laz!' where is he?

'LAZ!?!?' I shout louder - still no sign of him. Looks like I'm gonna have to do this myself. I start to chant the word 'moon' saying it over and over and start to form a portal - but it burns out. Damn it! I try again - tiny orange sparks come from my finger tips , 'MOON' I shout - but it burns out again. This will not do. I start to really shout it now 'MOON, MOON, MOON' over and over, forcing a portal to open in front of me, large orange electricity shoot from my finger tips - I have an opening, it starts to close already so I jump in - but everything is fading already, I try to fight it - I see the surface of the moon, the tower - I think I can see the tower - but it just burns out and I wake.

I am getting closer - I will not give up
