Hello, and welcome to my new dream journal!

So I randomly woke up last night at 4:30 and thought, what a great time to try some lucid dreaming! So I tried the WILD technique and some focused thinking. It didn't work. I'm a newbie and got too excited. :p

So I rolled over and forgot about it. Next thing I new, I was asleep!

I dreamed about being able to lucid dream. :p My family was with me, and I was showing them all the crazy neat things I could do. I remember very vividly throwing a sharpened pencil with extreme accuracy into the head of another man. Then I dreamed I was taken to some sort of lucid dreaming institute building or a sleep-lab sort of thing. My mother and I went into a private room to talk, when I heard a noise behind a cupboard. It was a teenage girl, and I told her to get out of the room. Good grief, no sense of privacy! :p

Then I dreamed I had to ride a lawnmower backwards all the way to a big city, which is like nine hours away from us. As I was going along, I heard a thump and realized I had hit a snake. It was very strange, and had a head sort of like a sheep's. Another snake, which I understood to be it's partner, came after me as if in revenge. It reared itself up in the road and looked terrifying! I was in the middle of trying to decide whether I should run over it too and risk getting close to it or back up quickly and hightail it out of there, when I suddenly woke up.

Not the most satisfying dream ever, in my opinion

Just a single fragment, really, that's decayed some since I woke up, at that.

I had a set of abilities. One could be attained through an arm extension motion, palm down, and I think I could move and control things, and perhaps crush things. The other was attained by the same arm extension, but palm up, with my hand being slowly grasped into a fist, and it worked just like corpse explosion from the Diablo series of games, in that I could make corpses explode or (more commonly) turn into a pile of acidic bile on command.

7:23am MILD 2x

I realized I was dreaming and went for the door. I was excited to go to Japan. I thought as I held the doorknob and started opening the door, not just Japan, but my mother in law's house and tried to picture it. But when I opened the door, it was just the hallway to my apartment complex. I realized I needed to go through the hall to the next door that leads outside. But I woke up.

Before this FA, I had two other FAs. In the first one, non-lucid, I woke up in a mix of my apartment and my mom's house. I helped my mom out a bit with the daycare by supervising a kid playing a computer game while sleeping on the couch, but when I saw my mom, reminded her, today's my day off and I need to work on my translation internship, so I went back to my room to get some sleep.

In the computer game, it was a kids game and I remembered being able to choose a side character that gives you advice. So I kept wanting her to choose the butterfly. Also, she was able to switch the language settings to have the side character talk in Japanese.

At some point I had another non-lucid, either before or after the FA, in which I was outside on a jungle gym type structure trying to climb it with lots of kids and young adults around doing the same.

In my second FA, I realized I was dreaming when a little boy, from that jungle gym dream, was in my apartment. My husband was in the bathroom in this FA. I tried using a window as a portal but just entered another FA.

Set an intention before sleep last night. Remember this morning editing music on my computer. Boring dream but at least I remembered something after a dry spell.

This morning when I woke up I think I remembered 3-4 dreams but I decided to take it easy today and not worry to much about it. However the second time I woke up I had the best dream I've ever had...

1. D-DAY

I'm in an amphibious landing craft a KM of the coast of Normandy, I wear a WW2-era uniform and see more soldiers in the boat waiting for the gate to fall open. Not a single word is said and then suddenly the gate falls open and the first soldiers storm outside and jump in the water. Some of them get shot right away and I can see parts of their brain flying back in EXTREME detail. It's my turn and I dive straight into the water as fast as I can and plan to stay under until I reach the shore to stay clear of gunfire. As I jump in I rapidly sink down as my equipment is really heavy, I see multiple corpses on the bottom and some floating above me. I quickly take my army knife and try cutting my backpack loose, fortunatly it comes off quiet fast and I make my way to the beach. Upon crawling out of the water I'm deafened by the sound of explosions and MG-fire, I take cover behind an anti-tank cross thing and look for the other soldiers. I focus on the defenses and fire my automatic gun at a pillbox, I see how allied soldiers are trying to climb in the bunkers but they get smashed with spades on their head and fall down. Next to me is a soldier who's sitting out in the open, I pull him in cover and ask him if he's crazy. The beach is really large and doesn't have that many barriers on it, the cover I'm behind is actually the only obstacle and I suddenly notice there are like 5 soldiers only on the beach including me. I'm confused, then everyone stops firing their guns and I'm like "What, a seize fire?". I look around and see Steven Spielberg walking towards me, clapping his hands and shouting "Excellent work men, we got it all on tape and it already looks amazing!. All the fear and stress goes away and he asks "And, how was it?", I respond with relief "Wow, I mean like when I got out of the water, I was terrified.". The other figurants laughed a bit but it was a friendly laughter, not laughing at me.

One of my goals in an LD was to experience D-day, looks like that task is done now but I do want to try it out again when I'm really lucid.

Okay, so I'm with my mom. We're at this strange place that is something like a rock quarry only while we are there we gain the power to control plants and cause them to grow.
So there was sort of a long chunk of time where absolutely nothing interesting happened. We filled up the rock quarry area with various forests and gardens. She asked me to check on her car at one point. I'm gonna skip to the good stuff.
So we are walking around. The quarry area is not thoroughly filled with plants and forests and we come across something that we do not recall adding. A dark forest. All of the trees look dead, and there are skulls lanterns hanging from the trees. Dark clouds linger over the woods.
My mom stands at the edge of the woods and asks why somebody would make something like this. I told her that we came through here and filled this area with pines not too long ago. At this moment two feelings came over me simultaneously. One of them waslucidity. The other was the feeling that there was some evil presence encroaching upon us.

I told my mom that this was a dream, and that I felt something evil approaching. She ran off, leaving me. I stared into the skull woods for a few seconds and could feel fear sweeping over me. All of the skulls begin to rotate to look at me. I feel like I had better change the scene.
Dream spinning. I close my eyes and hold out my arms. I open them and now the skull woods is surrounding me. Skulls are looking at me from all sides. The evil presence is more powerful as well. I attempt to dream spin a second time, and this time I do it for several seconds until I feel carpet on my feet that I suppose were bare.
I am now in a hotel hallway. Something still feels off. A few of the lights are flickering, though the hallway looks to be a part of a fairly upscale hotel. The room in front of me has a glass window going from floor to ceiling. I knock, expecting my guide to come, and I see a toddler approaching the door. I open it and kneel down and talk to the toddler.
"Hey little buddy..."
I notice the toddler's eyes look off. They look more like those of a doll than an actual baby.
"Where are your parents?"
The toddler takes out a large knife and smiles at me. For some peculiar reason, even though I was lucid, I did not think to confront this nightmare. Aw man, I'm going for two.

I shut the door, lock it and rocket down the hall in flight. I turn right two times and then stop. I knock on a door that is to my left and hope and wonder as to what I will find. Hopefully not another psycho baby. Upon knocking on the door it nudges open. I look inside and the room appears empty. There is a large blanket-covered bump in one of the beds.
I make my way in, and the blanket covered bump comes open to reveal a man, probably in his 30's with black hair and a thin beard. He rolls over to reveal two bare-chested females, one blonde and one brunette, who... well I don't know they don't look very attractive, neither of them. They look to have almost exactly the same body.
The man rolls over. He looks somewhat annoyed at first and asks what I am doing. I tell him that I had just escaped a skull forest and a psycho baby. He reacts about how you would expect. I then asked if I could join in whatever 'fun' he oh so obviously was having here. He told me I could.
Naked TOTM time, and perfect setup. I throw off all of my clothes. The brunette recoils in terror. The blonde looks more confident, and she smiles at me. I don't know what they saw, I didn't look down. I kneel down and look at the blonde. I tell her that I've been waiting to try lucid sex with someone for a long time. She then gets confused wondering what 'lucid sex' means, but looks to brush past it. I look off to the ceiling for a second hoping that I won't make a mess in the bed.
Probably not, these girls aren't very attractive, and I'm probably not going to get that into it.
Then, a knock on the door.
The man grunts. "I'll get it." I put my pants back on. The man gets out of bed, and I realize that one of his hands is missing. He asks me to help me fit his broken robot hand. I attempt to aide him, but a broken robot hand is a broken robot hand, and all the fingers are missing. Whatever. He plugs it into a port on the end of his arm, puts on boxer shorts and we go to the door. There is nobody, just a couple sticks of dynamite attached to a remote detonator with blue duct tape.
The man screams some curses. He runs out into the hall and looks down at it. Confused, as if he is waiting for me to tell him what to do. One of the girls yells "Just kick it down the hall." He does but the duct tape sticks to his foot. He falls over and his head goes through the wall. He screams. I then shut the door and the competition and the explosive out. .
Now then, ladies, where were we?
I wake up.

Probably should have laid down some stabilization at some point. Would have had a little more warning for that...

I'm standing in the middle of a barren wasteland. There is nothing around me that is alive, but in the distance, along the horizon, I see some trees. Judging by their shape, I assume I am in Africa.

I think I'm getting a "new" dream sign: gators and swamps. Last night I had a dream about getting lots of mosquito bites while getting chased by a smart gator (and making "jokes" about malaria). And the night before that I was rescuing baby elephants and hippos from another huge gator...
I had that "dream theme" a while back, it just comes in and out of my dreams.



Anyways... I had a fun (and sort of frustrating) dream last night:

I'm laying down on the floor in my father's apartment, I want to try and "WILD". My sister comes in and "wakes me up" and I get a little upset.
Eventually I start to enter the "second layer" dream, which is very unstable. I am still on the apartment's floor , dragging myself across the living room. I try to stabilize by doing telekinesis on a box (stupid me). I throw a clumsily-visualized fireball at the box, and use an equally clumsily-visualized "rasengan" on it.
I "wake up" again, but this time I'm in my (supposed) grandparent's living room. I got my feet and legs on a desk, my head resting on the floor (lol). I try to WILD again but my cousin comes in, and tells me that "we have to go." So, I walk out of the house and enter a car, to go somewhere in the Jungle.

Not once did I reality check

Long dreaming night, to bed late, slept late, got back to sleep, should have gotten lucid but too tired after trip.

+ skiing downhill at night in a group, at the top of the hill was a campaign sign reading "Americans: we're not as stupid as you think we are!" it's from a candidate whom I think I know

+ playing "hide the USB wireless mouse interface in your ear!" game in a swimming pool with a large group

+ I work hard to recapture our ball in the swimming pool, tons of kids are playing, later it is a flag, I finally get it and victoriously return

+ up close view of a spices stored in a store, mostly hot crushed red pepper, some strange individual slice packing I think is really clever (one of those "you mean *that* was a dream?" dreams, felt very real)

+ The origins of Captain America: at first he's (me) a guy who just likes the suit, I try the helmet/mask on and check myself out in a mirror

+ water is building up in a diamond-shaped cabinet, I rush to get some stainless-steel cook-pots to capture and reach it just as it begins to pour out, it fills up all the pots quickly, I think about siphoning it through a green garden house down to an in-ground water storage area, but there's a guy in there held prisoner

+ in a team of young people/heroes trying to trick the evil witch into appearing, I think she does but the team just stands around

+ I'm on a 3-wheeled motorcycle slipping and sliding on a snowy road, I run into a fence, I try to figure out the best position of the front wheel to counteract the sliding (turned 90 degrees sideways seems best!)

+ arrive on an extremely urgent mission to an important adult figure who just doesn't want to hear it, we should all calm down and eat our dinner first, we start singing in harmony

+ I'm in a small movie theatre as a movie ends, I'm surprised to see about 5 other people scattered around the theatre, we all start doing "raise the roof"

+ something about my parents and lots of food

...and much more that forgot

I have been away from dreaming for quite a while due to having a great deal of difficulty with recall and motivation. Lately I have been taking some supplements for dream recall and I managed to remember a couple dreams, though they weren't fully lucid ones. Here are the dreams I remember:

Show Us Your Stuff!
I am wandering around in a neighborhood I don’t recognize. I am not lucid, and I have no idea what I am doing there or even how I got to be there. I stop and look around for a bit, trying to clear my mind. I remember that I am making plans to meet with some new people in a shared dream. I think maybe if I can find a place that looks like the meeting place we are aiming for then maybe I can have the shared dream work. I remember that we are meeting near a large tree so I search the area for a large tree. I wander aimlessly for a while, no real direction in mind, and I finally find myself in a beautiful garden. There is a pool of water there with a waterfall flowing into it. I look at that for a few minutes, the sound of the water is calming. I look around a bit more and I spot a tree that looks perfect! I head over to the tree and look at it for a few minutes. I try to imagine what it would be like to be dreaming about this tree and meeting other dreamers here. I try to imagine what it would be like to have shared dreams again and to get a confirmed match.

I close my eyes as I think about that and then I hear someone around me. When I open my eyes again there are people all around the tree! I don’t recognize them. My first thought is that I am now trespassing on private property and these people are going to be angry at me for being there even though I didn’t mean any harm. I think maybe I can slip away unnoticed, but as I am trying to leave, someone spots me. She comes over to me and says she knows me… I’m Raven Knight! She says she has heard a lot about me. So this person thinks I’m some kind of celebrity? I feel my face turn a bit red because I’m not sure where she might have heard of me. Then I think what she’s heard might not be good. I comment that you can’t believe everything you hear. She said she just wanted to see me use some of my dream powers. I am thinking that would be impossible because this isn’t a dream… but the others there also seem to want to see it so I decide to try. I focus on Damage Inc. by Metallica to create a fireball. The resultant fireball isn’t a huge one, but then I wasn’t really looking for a big one, I wouldn’t want anyone to get hurt. I am glad I was able to produce a fireball at all, and everyone around seems to think it is quite impressive even though it isn’t something huge. Some of them want to see lightning, so I use Battery by Metallica to call a small bolt of lightning. Then someone asks if I can open a portal to take them to another dimension. I am thinking it is amazing enough that I am doing all these things when I’m not dreaming, can I open a portal? That would mean I can get out of this world! I am about to focus on Through the Never by Metallica to open a portal when I wake up.

Nuclear Firestorm
I am at school. I look around and see everyone else has already left the classroom, so class is over. I wonder where my mind has been that I didn’t even notice that class had ended. I also notice I have no idea what the instructor has been talking about or if there’s anything I need to turn in that I haven’t handed in yet. I ask the instructor if there’s anything I still need to turn in, hoping it is not obvious that I haven’t been paying attention. He doesn’t seem to think there’s anything strange about my question and he just says no, I’m good. I take my things and leave the school. I get in my car to go home, but I am hearing a lot of strange things on the radio. It is weird that the radio is on, I never listen to the radio in the car, it’s always CD’s or my iPod. But there’s news on. Something about a nuclear explosion? WTF?

I reach home, and it is much like the place I live in my waking life, so nothing seems out of place. I go inside and find my mother is all ready to go. She tells me to get what I need to keep and grab the cats and leave as soon as possible. She doesn’t bother saying why or where to go, just that. And she takes the dog and leaves the house. I am just standing there, puzzled. I start looking for the cats. We have three cats, but right now I can’t find any of them. I think I will also take my computer and hard drive so I won’t lose that. But the cats come first. I keep looking for the cats. I finally get to the back door, a sliding glass door, and I look outside. I see a strange green beam shooting from the sky, from some source I can’t see. I can tell it’s going to hit in the mountains. Somehow I know the beam will trigger a nuclear explosion, so being this close to it would not be good. I have to get out of here!

I am frantically looking for the cats now. There’s no way I can leave them behind. I finally find one of them, my fluffy white cat named Princess. I scoop her into my arms and look around for my keys. Forget the carriers, there’s no time… now where are my keys?! I need to put Princess in the car and find the other two! After searching frantically for a couple minutes I realize how foolish I am being. There’s no way I can find two more cats and then get far enough from the blast to make a difference. I look outside again and the green beam is now solid and hitting the ground somewhere in the nearby mountains. Nothing to be done for it. I go away from the window and sit down in a corner at the far side of the house and wait. I see a blinding flash of light from behind the house. There was the blast. And shortly after it a searing wave of fire blasts through the house. I feel the heat as my body is incinerated, but not as pain, just as a warmth and a heavy wind. And as I feel the warmth everything fades to black.

I wake up in bed and realize the nuclear detonation was just a dream. I come out of my room and find my mom fixing pancakes for breakfast. She smiles and asks how I am this morning. I say fine, and then tell her about my dream. I point out the window at the place the nuclear blast went off at. She says she is sure glad I survived and continues making pancakes. I find one of my kitties, the fluffy black one named Shadow, and I am petting her as I wake up for real.

I rode my board over to my friend Nicos and we went to this hotel/elementary school
and we started walking around and shit and I went into this one classroom.
The teacher was cute so I was trying to talk to her and shit while she was teaching a class.
I ended up leaving to look for my board while my friend stayed. I was confused on if I brought my skateboard or penny board so I was looking all over until I found my skateboard.
After I found it I went back to the room my friend was in with the teacher. It was about to be lunch.
This was a 5th grade class also. For some reason my friend was drawing or doing the work they were doing and I was confused. I think so she would let him stay.
When lunch came around and all the kids left I tried talking to her. She said she was going to get food and gave me the key. I went into the room and waited maybe 5 minutes until she came back in. At this point I was eating Mike and Ikes for some reason and wanted to spit them out before she came back in. The classroom was no longer a class but a hotel room. I went to the bathroom to spit out the mike and ikes into the toilet only to find someone had taken a shit and not flushed it. I was confused for some reason but spit them out and flushed the toilet. I stepped outside for a reason I can't remember and there was someone at the end of the way. They asked me what I was doing in the room alone and I made up an excuse saying I was the teachers cousin and just waiting for her to say hi. Right after I said that she came walking down the hallway. I walked back into the room and she came in not long after. Since it was just me and her in the room I started talking to her different basically trying to get with her. When she came in the room I started flirting with her more since there were no children in the room. She asked me how old I was and I told her that i'm turning 18 on the 20th. She smiled and said okay. When she started walking towards me I woke up.

Had this lucid dream last night. The lucid dream itself was a little boring but the dream that proceed it was really fun. I was some kind of Jedi Night rescuing a landing party and I was flying around on a little personal saucer disk sitting on top of it. I think I became lucid while flying and then the dream changed, or the dream changed and then I become lucid. Anyway I'm now in a machine shop at a school. I know I'm dreaming and I start touching some of the machinery to stabilize the dream, but I didn't feel like I needed to as my lucidity felt so stable already. I left there and walked outside. Outside was like a courtyard to a big mall. Lots of people milling around. Oh ya, as I'm walking outside I realize I'm only wearing underwear, I think I've got to make some clothes appear. I'm thinking about how I've read people making things appear in their dreams on the forum. (It didn't occur to me to make the close appear on me, only to find them in the dream). I walk across the courtyard and I see my daughter pull up in a convertible. As I walk up she is handing a bundle of clothes to a guy that just walked up. I walk up grab the bundle of clothes and say "these are for me". I then see two pairs of pants and one is a corduroy and I say "but not these" and hand them to the guy. Then I recognize the guy from an earlier dream in which he was being an ass and so I punch him in the face. (??! Don't know where that came from). I pay no more attention to him or my daughter and walk off to go put my clothes on. I'm wondering what I should do in my lucid dream. I'm walking over to a bench and there's a big mall sign above. A women ask me if I know what time it is. I see a big digital clock on the sign but I'm thinking digital clocks are notoriously hard to read in a LD and so chuckling to myself I tell her "no I can't tell you what time it is". At this point I seem to have a lower level of lucidity for the rest of the dream as it changes a couple of times without my being conscious of it. Now I'm riding in the back of a car putting on my clothes. Others are in the back with me and we're talking. Once dressed I decide to freak them out and I jump out through the back doors (going through the closed doors), we were traveling fast, I'm standing up and skidding to a stop, but as I still don't have my shoes on I have to make myself float just above the pavement.

The dream changes again, now I'm on a train going up a mountain landscape. I'm bored trying to think of what to do. I start putting on my boots, lacing up the boots. I think maybe I'll fly into some caves in the mountain Then think I don't want to be in a dark place. Then I have the idea to go to my home town and do something there. I wonder how should I get there. I know flying would take to long. Then I think to do what I've read people do on the forum. I will make a door appear and step through the door to my home town. I'm wondering how I'm going to do that, still struggling with putting on these heavy lace up boots and thinking why did I conger up these stupid lace up boots! Just then I feel myself slipping into waking.

My Comments: The dream was a little boring because I couldn't think of anything to do. Oh, I actually did think of finding a women and having sex but decided against it. I can see I need to set some waking intentions to do something next time I'm lucid. Also wear some clothes!

So normally I wouldn't post such a short lucid but this one is mentionable.

I was in the kitchen in the morning, nothing like my own really and I was making breakfast. I was going to make muffins but was putting them in individual muffin tin things and placing each one on a burner, I want to say the burner was coming from the top but I cant be sure. I was concerned in the dream that the muffins would burn or catch fire. I kept adjusting the flames to make sure this didn't happen. I looked at them all when I finally got them all on and some were really disfigured and flat while others looked decent. After they were done (I assume) I was scraping stuff off a tray and was amazed that there was nothing left. It all just disappeared and there was only a few burnt pieces of stuff left, looked like small burnt onions. I showed my mother in law who was in the kitchen with me and said how weird it was nothing was left. I then started to peel a banana to eat and then went to an area in the kitchen where my grandmother in law was working at making something else. I picked up something she was using like a bag of sugar and it dumped everywhere, all over the floor and counter. I was told I didn't need to help pick it up but helped anyways. Someone said something about me being late to work and I needed to eat and then my mother in law said I needed to make sure I was awake or wake up better. This prompted me to do a RC and I did the finger check, as always I was amazed this was a dream and did it several times, I had some wobbly fingers and more than 5. Lucid: I went to a door and imagined a city street like the one I had been on in my previous dream, as i opened the door the dream was beginning to fade and as I began to wake a saw some sort of field.

This afternoon I took a nap with my daughter and actually had a dream I remembered, this doesn't usually happen when I have a nap so it was really different. I was with a couple others in a room and we were going to fight some others. I was telling a guy next to me, who was a kid, maybe my son that he had to protect others from someone who couldn't control their powers. It seemed like last airbenderish if you will. I was going to show him that I could throw fire balls and I wound up but nothing came out. I woke up shortly after.

Dad and I are at a hospital to visit his friend HD. We spend some time in a waiting room without actually seeing him. We head to the elevator to go down to the lobby. There is a patient room right across from the elevator. We get into the elevator and while waiting for the door to close, I see HD is in that room. He reaches out and I can't tell if he's trying to wave at us or reaching for us to come back and see him.

The elevator turns into a monorail car and shuttles us off to -- North Korea? I'm not so sure that this is a good idea. Hopefully we don't stay around too long. To my relief, we don't stay long. The monorail doesn't even make any stops.

The next thing I know, I'm on a cruise ship off the coast of Alaska. I'm watching a group of killer whales from the deck. Somehow, I can see what is happening under water as well as on the surface. The whales have odd markings on their bellies with black dots where they should be all-white. I want to get a picture of the whales, but I can't see to figure out how to take a picture on my iPhone. The ship docks and I get off at some kind of scenic overlook to try taking pictures. It's kind of a weird set-up. There's a two-story building with a McDonald's on the lower level and a viewing point on the upper level. Once again, I have trouble trying to take a picture.

I was in Walmart and there were a lot of little people around. I bumped into two guys (that I had a head on) who smirked at me. I smiled and moved on.

In the jewelry section, I met a small lady and we ended up talking about zodiac signs. “You could be a Cancer - a crab, or Taurus, a bull. Or an Aquarius, born in September [got this one wrong!].”

She said she didn’t have one because she was born on this one day. I was confused because I hadn’t heard of it. I told her to just pick one, no one would ever know.

“You could say you were a Sagittarius born in December.”

At one point I asked if I could carry her and I did.

She had had a secret power, and taken ‘us’ [a bit fuzzy, but a girl and guy pair I think] to a secret place. We had to make our way across land. Some people with the lady thought we wanted to use her powers.

We were cloned [just appearing there) – there was a younger and older pair of us. The older pair got split up, I think. The older guy was being used by this old man while he was in the first cave.

I saw that the place was big (like looking at an area map in a game), full of forests, plains, caves and such. I did not want to have to go through another cave, which was to the far right. I wondered what was at the very end.

Inspirations: I watched the first episode of Sailor Moon: Crystal yesterday and think the zodiac stuff came from that (and maybe the jewelry section) – also, I’m a Sagittarius born in December. The landscape might come from playing Pokemon. I think I recently saw a show with little people on it.
