      Lucid Dream

Date: Night of January 26, 2011

It's around one in the morning, and I was just finishing up my first DJ entry before I decided I ought go to sleep. After logging out of all of my things, I went to my room and once again popped a CD with soft piano melodies. Getting in my bed, I feared that I might have a nightmare due to the fact that I was playing DOOM earlier. But I eventually put that aside and simply repeated the words, "I will wake from my dreams and completely remember them," until I finally fell asleep.

I'm running. From what? I'm not sure, but I keep up the pace. I look to my left, then to my right, before hopping over some stream. I'm in a forest, and I'm brushing aside foliage as I continue running. I don't feel exhausted at all, but I know I've been running for a long time. I come to a clearing, and I walk up some stone steps. Once at the top, I look around myself. Behind me is indeed a forest, or rather a jungle. The one I was just running through. Looking downwards, I see the stones that I walk upon. It's a yellowish gold color, and there's moss in the cracks. Looking ahead I see two staircases. Both of them extremely, unimaginably high. They stretch farther than the eye can see, all the way up through the clouds. I turn to my right and see my brother, Miguel, and a very close family friend, Nathan.

"Miguel, you're not going up there, are you?" I ask him.

"Yea, I am. It's the fastest way."

I then remember that this is a race. That's why I was running through the jungle. Both Miguel and Nathan appear to have been running through the jungle just as hard as I had.

"But don't you see how high it is? What if you fall?"

"We won't, trust me." he replied.

"Look! The higher you get, the smaller the steps are!"

"I said don't worry. We got this."

And with that, they ran up the steps, soon out of my sight. I sigh, and continue on my own path. I re-enter the jungle, and soon I come to some building. After running around it, I find out that the jungle ends here, and a city begins. Though it's not a city like New York. It's more like a town... or a village! It's a villageof some sort that I've come across. I then hear some man talking. He turns out to be a politician. Upon closer inspection, he turns out to be a Chinese man. Obviously from the reaction of the crowd around him, they do not accept his speech at face value. The appear to believe that he is a crooked man, and I also seem to get that feeling from him. I get tired of listening to him, and continue on my way. However I stop running, and simply walk.

I casually glance around, and it is in fact, a small Chinese village. People are grocery shopping, laughing, conversing. I cross a small bridge with water underneath and fish are in the water. Soon some yellow cloud comes out of nowhere and flies right be me. And there's a boy on it! I chase the cloud, running faster than even when I was running through the jungle. It soon comes to a stop in front of a home, a traditional Chinese home. He's talking to a girl and a boy as he sits on his cloud. After close inspection from a distance, I realize that the boy is the Avatar, and his name is Aang. And the girl and boy are Katara and Sokka, respectively. I walk up to them and realize that the cloud Aang is sitting on is Kinto'un. They greet me cheerily and invite me inside.

Soon it's evening time, and everyone is sitting around the fire. Apparently we are joined by some other female named Tsubasa, who is around the same age as the rest of the group, about 14-15. Everyone is laughing and enjoying themselves. Sokka and Aang, who is still seated on Kinto'un, are joking around. I'm laying down, facing them and the fireplace, with my head in Katara's lap, smiling, as she pets my head. Tsubasa is sitting next to us, smiling and sipping her tea, interjecting something in the conversation every now and again, accompanied with giggling.

"Why are you smiling?" Katara asks me.

"Look around, everyone's happy, laughing. Why not smile?"

She giggles and nods her head. "I suppose you are right," she replies with a smile.

She then leans down and kisses the top of my head, and soon after,
      I awaken.

      Lucid Dream

Date: Night of January 25, 2011

So it's about four in the morning. I just got off the computer after extensively researching lucid dreams, and filling my brain with the basics of dreams, such as definitions, stages of sleep, dream recall, and things of this nature. With this on my mind, I turn my Playstation on and put a CD in. As I listen to soft piano melodies, I repeat to myself as I fall asleep, "I will wake from my dreams and completely remember them," as I had read that on the home page of this site. Soon enough, I'm drifting off to sleep.

I'm sitting in a large auditorium, and I'm definitely not alone. Every single seat is filled. As I look around, I come to the realization that this building is one I've been in several times. It's the Civic Center, downtown. I look down to the center stage to see what seems like a play. A father and son talking, which soon turns into an argument. I'm not very interested, and look to my right and I see my girlfriend. (It's a long distance relationship, so I don't see her face-to-face.) I think nothing of it, I mean she's my girlfriend. I then stand up to use the restroom, and walk up the aisle. Once outside the main auditorium, I see two of my cousins. One of which no longer communicates with the family. (Again, another person I don't see face-to-face.) I say hi, and apparently my urge to use the restroom has gone away, as I go back to sit down. As I walk down the aisle to my seat, some woman tries to catch my attention. She urges me to sit down next to her for some reason. I comply, and apparently she just wanted some company. I look down to the center stage again, and see my friend Jonathan down there performing card tricks, as if he were a magician. (Since he doesn't perform card tricks, this is another odd thing.) I watch as he performs some very interesting tricks, such as causing cards to change shape, and things of the like.

Then my surroundings change. Perhaps a different dream that I remember? I'm standing in a pool of water, like a small pond. A middle aged woman that is not familiar to me at all is catching large fish with her bare hands. She's wearing a bandanna on her head and a flannel shirt, with pants that are rolled up to her knee. She's also carrying a large bag that she puts the fish in. Looking downwards at my own feet, notice that my pants are also rolled up and my shoes are gone, and I catch a glimpse of the fish. I see catfish, and some odd red fish, it reminds me of a Pokemon. I offer her some help, but she tells me that she doesn't need it. I turn around to see my grandmother and one of my aunts sitting down on a rock. I sit next to them and watch the other woman as she catches fish. Once finished, I walk with her over some ridge, where once we traverse it, we part ways. Looking around me, I find that I'm behind some building. My pants are no longer rolled up, and my shoes are once again on. I go towards the building and attempt to open the back doors, but they're locked. My grandmother and aunt catch up with me and try to help, but to no avail. Eventually, some people come out. As the doors open, we rush inside. I then see an old classmate crouching next to a baby wrapped in a towel. She says that it was just laying there. I look at the baby, and unwrap the towel to see what gender it is. It turns out to be a hermaphrodite. Wrapping the baby back up, I leave the building with it in my arms and get in a car, driving off to find it's mother.
(This is odd because I'm under the legal driving age, and thus cannot drive.)

As I drive, I cross a bridge. It's a very long bridge, and takes some time to drive over. Once across the bridge, I get out of the car and go behind some bushes, because apparently I'm in some place I shouldn't be. I have a feeling that the baby's mother is from here. After searching the place extensively, I can't find the baby's mother, so I take it as my own. Setting the baby down in the car for a moment, I turn to look around me again, and when I look back, the baby has become a toddler. I think nothing of it, since I fed it moments ago. I get back in the car, and after strapping the both of us in, drive back across the bridge.

My dream then ends and I wake up.
