Game of Dreams – Eddard’s Escape

Eddard - I am seated in the back of a wagon. I can’t see where I am, but I feel it is important that I stay hidden. There are people that want my head on a pike. There is a bit of tension as the wagon goes out the main gate of the city. But the man in charge seems to know one of the guards, and they let us through. After we have gone a little ways, I think it must be safe to at least look out. I pull the tarp back at a corner so that I can peek out. There are quite a few people here with us. In another wagon I see that there are three men chained up. Those ones must be criminals from the worst part dungeons. Of course they consider me a criminal too. They think I committed treason, and I even confessed to it in order to avoid execution. That’s not really what I wanted to do, but Eddard went ahead and did it anyways. At that point, Joffrey said he wanted my head. Or he would’ve said that if it hadn’t been for the fact he had some kind of fit. He dropped his pants and started making the sounds of barnyard animals. It was amusing. Then the queen came over and said I had confessed as agreed so I would now be allowed to take the black. So here I am, on my way north to the wall. I guess I should just be glad I wasn’t beheaded.

As I am looking out of the wagon I see that a couple of the boys are picking on a smaller boy. I am thinking that is not fair. They shouldn’t be allowed to do that. They’re calling him lumpy head and saying they want him to hand over a sword he has. But I know that I’m not supposed to be seen, so I just keep watching for a bit longer. Two the boys mock the smaller boy. One of them says the small boy stole his sword so there would be nothing wrong with them stealing it from him because it’s not really his. They start saying they are going to steal his sword. I am thinking that I now can no longer refrain from taking action, however, when one of the boys rides his donkey up beside the smaller boy the small boy pulls out a wooden sword and smacks the donkey’s behind. The donkey bucks the jerk off. The smaller boy jumps off of his donkey and proceeds to kick the other boy’s ass. They won’t underestimate him for being small again.

So since I don’t actually have to do anything, I watch for a bit longer until the man in charge, a soldier of the black named Yarin, comes and breaks up the fight. It wasn’t really much of a fight. The smaller boy was beating the bigger one completely into submission. That was rather amusing. Because even when the bigger boy tried to play dirty and strike from behind, another boy that they have been calling The Bull warned small boy of the attack before it got off. He got his butt kicked some more. This is when Yarin breaks up the fight and then takes a small boy off to the side, probably for disciplinary action. Either that or to praise his sort play. The other boy is clearly in pain, but alive. I sit back down in the wagon, and I just relax there until I wake up.

Game of Dreams – Execution Cancelled

Arya - I am on the streets of a city that looks like something out of an RPG. I look around, and I see lots of people. No one really seems to notice me. I smell something yummy. I follow my nose to see what it is. On the main street I see a man with a cart, and he is selling looks like mini pies. Those look delicious. My stomach is growling. I am wondering if I could possibly get one. It feels like I haven’t eaten since forever. I go over towards the cart and I walk up and start looking at the pies. The man who is pushing the cart looks like he is not pleased to see me. Probably because I look like a street rat with no money. I say I would like to buy a pie. He says that will be three coppers. Doesn’t sound like much. I reach into my pocket to see if I can find any money. I find none. I mutter a rhyme like they used in the Pierce Anthony books. “This isn’t funny, give me some money.” Then find the coins that I need. I hand the coins to the man, who looks quite surprised. He then lets me choose a pie. I choose an apple cinnamon one. He continues on down the road to sell more pies.

I have nothing to my pie with, so I start eating with my hands. That’s kind of gross because they’re kind of dirty. But the pie is way past delicious. So before long I completely forget about my dirty hands as I wolf down that pie. I am thinking I need to get out of the city. I am wondering if there’s any way to do that. I am thinking the main gate will be guarded, they are looking for me. I wander for a while, not sure where to go. Then I see there are people moving through the streets to the sound of a bell. I wonder what is happening. I go with everyone to see what is going on. Everyone is gathering around a large building that appears to be some kind of church. There are people up at the entrance to the church where there is a large patio area. One is the queen. I hate her. One is the king. I have hated him since he was a prince. I also see my sister. And soon a couple of guards come out with my father. My father doesn’t look too good, but he is able to walk on his own. I see that the cast on his leg is gone now. His leg had been broken, but now I remember healing it for him.

Prince, no King, Joffrey starts talking. He says that my father has been found guilty of treason. I guess they have something on him, because my father confessed primes I know he never committed. And then Joffrey says that his mother and his future queen want him to be merciful and let my father take the black. He then says that it’s just because we they have the soft hearts of women. I know what comes next. I focus all of my intent on Joffrey now. I focus on my telepathic abilities, which have proven to work here before. The message I sent to Joffrey is that he should bray like a donkey. I don’t have time to come up with anything better right now. Joffrey motions to the executioner, Sir Ilyn Payne, who comes over closer to him. Joffrey looks him right in the face and brace like a donkey. Everyone turns to stare at Joffrey now. Payne has the weirdest look on his face. Joffrey tries to compose himself again. I send another strong message. Drop your pants. Joffrey says that what he had been trying to say was… then he pulls down his pants. The entire gathering area is filled with people now, and many of them are laughing, some of them are making concerned sounds. No one knows what’s going on. Joffrey has turned beet red. He looks over at the queen, as if looking for help. He looks like he might cry. He reaches down and pull his pants up, looking very confused, looking around as if someone is going to come out and attack him. He has just got his pants pulled back up when I tell him to drop his pants again and snort like a pig. I have already gotten access to his mind now, and he quickly complies.

One of Joffrey’s guards, the one no one as The Hound, goes over to him. He helps Joffrey pulled his pants up yet again, and then hurries him into the church. The laughter is deafening. I almost can’t hear what the queen says when she comes over to speak. But finally she is able to make herself heard. She says that what His Grace was trying to say is that Lord Edward Stark has agreed to confess his crimes and take the black. She says hopefully he shows more loyalty to his brothers on the wall then he has to his king. She doesn’t seem to have anything to say about Joffrey‘s behavior. A lot of people are trying to ask. What’s wrong with Jeffrey? I am still watching when someone reaches from behind me and grabs me. I think I might struggle, but his hold is pretty tight. He is whispering something in my ear, and calling me a boy. I’m not a boy. For a brief instant I think he wants to kill me. But then he just starts giving me a bad haircut. He says that we are headed out for the wall tonight. And I better be ready, boy.

The Dark Tower – The Great Race

I am on a beach. I look around see if I can figure out how I got here. I see that there is a man nearby. There is also a woman in a wheelchair. They seem to be having an argument. I go closer to see if that might be why I’m here. I recognize the people. The man is Eddie, from the Dark Tower series. The woman must be Detta or Odetta. As I get closer I can tell she’s the nice one. She is not using long strings of shouted expletives. She and Eddie are arguing about whether or not he should leave a gun with her. She says that Roland will be angry. Eddie says he’s not leaving her without a way to defend herself. When I get a little closer Eddie turns and sees me. He asks if I can talk some sense into this woman? He seems to know me. I tell him that I can do better than that. I can go do whatever it is he needs to do, and he can stay with Odetta. He says he has to take the wheelchair back to get Roland. He points at a door that is standing on its own. I she words on the door, the pusher. I tell Eddie and Odetta that I will take the wheelchair back and get Roland. Eddie asks if I’m sure I can do that? He says that Roland and will be hard to push in the wheelchair. He is thinking I will be weak because I’m a girl! I give him a dirty look. I told him that I could carry Roland over my shoulder the whole way. But that wouldn’t be very comfortable for him. Eddie agrees finally and says for me to go ahead.

For the next part of the dream I am running down the beach pushing a wheelchair. I really like the fact that I don’t seem to be getting tired. It’s completely unlike how things are when I’m in the waking world. I have to go around some rocks and other obstacles on the beach, so that slows me down some. But it doesn’t slow me down much, and before I think it is possible I find Roland. Roland appears to be either unconscious or sleeping. I go over closer to him and he seems to wake up a bit. He looks up at me, he looks quite confused. He says my name, Raven, but seems unsure as to if I am real. I tell him that Eddie stayed with Odetta while I came to get him. He says that he will need to be pushed in the wheelchair, he’s not strong enough to walk. I am wondering why my healing attempt haven’t really work on him. I’m thinking maybe it is because of poison rather than just a physical injury. That can make a difference. Roland gets to his feet with much effort, and he sits down in the wheelchair. I focus some healing energy into him just to be sure he doesn’t die on the way. He seems to perk up a bit, but not enough to let him walk. He asks if I’m sure I can handle this? I tell him this will not be a problem. I get behind the wheel chair and try to push. I am actually surprised by how much harder it is to do, but that is just because I wasn’t prepared. I start pushing forward at a good rate.

I pick up speed as I am pushing Roland in his wheelchair down the beach. It is going faster and faster. A couple of times I have to make sudden adjustments to keep from running into one of the obstacles on the beach. There are rocks, Driftwood, and the hardest ones to see our places where soft sand has collected. But I managed to keep going at a quicker rate without getting in any wrecks. Once again the trip seems to go by very quickly. And once again I am liking the fact that I don’t seem to get tired. I wish I could just live all the time in the dream state. Soon we reached door. I see the door there, but I see no sign of either any or Odessa. I wonder where they could’ve gone. Roland is not in good shape, and I know he needs to go through the door to get medicine. I tell him that I will look for Eddie and Odetta. Roland says that he had intended to take Addy with him this time. I am wondering how that would work. Three people in one body? But that doesn’t really matter. Roland says Eddie still has one of his guns. He says hopefully he will not need to use it. Then he hands me the other gun. He says that when he goes through the door his body will be lifeless on the ground here. He says at that point, if the other has come back, she will be able to take the weapon with ease. I don’t need to ask the other is, I know he is talking about Debra walker. So Roland goes over to the door and manage just open it. I can see through the door, it is looking onto a busy sidewalk. I’m not sure what is going on there. Roland goes through the door, then his body collapses outside.

I start looking around now. I start calling out Eddie. I also call out Odetta. I call out Eddie and say that if the other has returned, don’t forget the song. You can bring her back. You can bring Odetta back. I continue looking for a while, and I am about to give up. I have no idea where they could’ve gone. Especially when Odetta doesn’t have her wheelchair. Hi come around a quarter in the rocks, and I stop when I hear a nasty sounding voice. It is a woman’s voice, and she tells me to stop right there. Stop right there, you home bitch. It is definitely not Odetta. I turned around to see her. She has a gun pointed at me. I am not worried about the gun. I am worried about Eddie. I ask her where it is? She says he’s around. She tells me to drop the gun Roland gave me. I told her I’m not going to do that. She says then she’ll blow my brains out. I tell her she won’t be doing it with that gun. I tell her there’s nothing she can do to hurt me, so I am certainly not worried. I ask her again where Eddie is. She says he’s just enjoying the beach. That doesn’t sound good. So I look around for Eddie some more, and I find that he is on the beach. Below the high tide marker. And somehow he’s gotten all tied up. I wonder how that’s even possible considering that he had the gun and data has no legs. I am figuring he must’ve fallen asleep, just like in the books.

Detta seems to move surprisingly fast with no legs. I hear her calling to me that I had better leave him be or she will shoot me. I’m still not worried about that. So I go down to where Eddie is tied up, and I start working on removing the ropes. Data is pretty close behind me, and I can see that Eddie is trying to warn me that fact. Detta points her gun at me. She pulls the trigger. She gets a resounding click. I get Eddie the rest of the way untied, and Detta tries to shoot me again. She gets another click for her efforts. I have Eddie completely untied now. I tell him to stay behind me while we go back and take care of Detta. I tell him that her gun can’t hurt me, but it can still hurt him. I walked right up to Detta. She tries to shoot me again, this time the gun fires. There is a loud bang that actually startles me. But the bullet seems to bounce off of my body. It might have something to do with the Mercer virus. Detta is staring in stunned silence now. So is Eddie. I take the gun away from the stunned Detta. I tell Eddie he can go back to using the song now. He needs to use the song to bring back Odetta. He doesn’t need my help for that. He goes over in front of Detta and uses the song, My Last Breath by Evanescence, and I can see when Detta changes back into Odetta. So at least for now things are safe. That is a good thing, because it is also now that I wake up.

Woman of Shadows

I am in a house I don’t recognize. It looks like a haunted house of some kind. I also have the idea I need to find someone in there. I start exploring. Everything is creepy, there are strange noises all around me and I keep seeing shadows out of the corner of my eye that are moving but seem to disappear when I look right at them. I am also hearing strange whispering that I can’t quite understand. I’m not sure if the whispering isn’t loud enough or if it’s in a foreign language. I enter a living room with a couch and a flat screen television. The television has static on it with strange voices coming from it like some half received station. There is a couch there and I see a woman standing in shadow over near a doorway. She looks up at me and has a really strange looking grin on her face. In an instant she is then directly in front of me as if she’s trying to scare me. When I don’t scare she gets a scowl on her face and disappears with a loud shriek.

I know who I think that was… it has been Asuka, but either she was taking Halloween too seriously or something was seriously wrong. I call out to her, telling her to come back and I will help her. I get no response so I keep searching. I go down a long hallway with mirrors that do not reflect me, instead they show weird creatures crawling on the floors, walls, and ceiling of the hallway. I can’t tell what they are. I form a little ball of light energy around my hand and then use the mirror to reach out and touch the spot where one of the creatures is. There is a shriek of pain and it disappears as if it was burned. I continue down the hall and the door at the end opens on its own. I go through and it slams closed behind me. Now I see cloaked images all around me, floating around in circles around me. I think it’s supposed to be disorienting, but I gather a sphere of light energy and they all disappear as if they were nothing more than shadows.

There’s another hall, and there is strange writing on the walls in glowing paint. I don’t recognize the words or symbols though somehow I know it’s supposed to be a warning. I ignore that an continue, calling out to Asuka still. I enter an office at the end of this hall and Asuka is standing in the middle of the room… sort of. She looks more like a poorly received television signal or a glitched computer graphic. She doesn’t even seem to see me at all. She is looking around as if we were surrounded by something I can’t see. I go over to Asuka and take hold of her hand, now she notices me. I focus healing light energy through her and that makes the strange glitched effect go away. No she is standing here with me and really seeing me as if for the first time tonight. She says the demon’s name is Valek. When I look puzzled she says that’s the demon’s name, and having its name will give us power over it.

Asuka points to a black spot on the floor in the middle of the room and says that’s where the corruption begins. I call out the name Valek and command the demon to show itself. The demon appears above the circle looking really pissed. Asuka says he’s angry, but I can already see that. The demon looks a little like a bull with fire coming from its nostrils and it is glaring at me. I tell the demon to be gone from here and never return. Valek says I do not belong here. I say the demon is the one that doesn’t belong here… and now this ends. I use the song Enter Sandman by Metallica to create a vortex of light energy around the demon and ends with a large explosion of light energy that banishes all shadows in the room and passes through the walls to cleanse what’s outside. I look over at Asuka and she smiles before I wake up.

The Dark Tower – Hold On to Me, Odetta

I am on a beach and it is near dark. I look around to see where I might be and I see that I am not alone here. I see three people not far away. Two men and a woman in a wheelchair. I wouldn’t have had to look to notice the woman, however, she is screaming expletives at the top of her lungs and laughing in a wild cackle. I recognize the two men when I get a little closer, it’s Roland and Eddy from the Dark Tower series. Both of them look exhausted. There is a black woman in the wheelchair, so that must be Odetta Holmes / Detta Walker… and I can immediately tell which one is in control right now. Not the lady, but the bitch. As I walk closer Roland spots me first, then Eddy, but I am quite a bit closer before Detta notices me. When she sees me she goes silent for a brief moment, then loudly announces that Roland and Eddy won’t have to suck each other’s little white candles anymore, now there’s a honky bitch here to do that for them… of course unless they prefer each other… She says she’s sure I’ll spread my legs for them!

I ignore Detta completely as she continues ranting and raving, cackling at her own bad jokes. I have a mission here, and I go over towards Eddy. I’ve forgotten that this Eddy has never met me before, so to him I’m a stranger. Roland introduces us. I tell Roland and Eddy that I have a technique that will help them deal with Detta more easily. Upon hearing her name Detta falls silent and then starts telling us not to be talking about her, so now the honky bitch wants in on the fun? I still ignore her and move a bit farther away. I tell Eddy that I know he’s already in love with Odetta Holmes, and that will help a lot. I tell him I don’t have a lot of time here, but if he will let me sort of merge with him I can show him how he can reliably cause Detta Walker to back off and Odetta Holmes to come forward at any time he needs to. He seems hesitant, so I say it works the same as when Roland was in his head. He seems hesitant still, he asks if Odetta will really come back… I say she will. He finally agrees.

I wonder how I’m going to manage this fusion with Eddy, but it works easily. I become transparent and just step into him. As one, we walk over to Detta. She’s acting scared, telling us to keep our honky hoodoo away from her. I have a song to use, My Last Breath by Evanescence, so I ignore Detta’s ranting and use it through Eddy. “Hold on to me, love. You know I can't stay long. All I wanted to say was, I love you and I'm not afraid.” Detta says she doesn’t want to be serenaded by no honky mofo bitch! I continue. “Can you hear me? Can you feel me in your heart? Holding my last breath, safe inside myself, are all my thoughts of you. Sweet rapture of light, it ends here tonight. Amidst the winter, a world of precious things.” Detta tries again to interrupt, she says she broke the blue for-special plate and it’s gone forever. I ignore that. “Look for me in the white forest, hiding in a hollow tree (come find me).” Detta says she’s going to hunt us down and we’d better stay in that tree or else… she trails off and rubs her head, her eyes are watering or she’s crying. “I know you hear me, I can see it in your tears. Closing your eyes to disappear, you pray your dreams won’t leave you here. But now you wake and know the truth, I’m still here…”

By this point I can see Odetta coming out, it’s time for Detta to go to sleep until at a later time she can be reintegrated with Odetta and the woman can be whole at last. “Say goodnight, don't be afraid. Only together we can face the night. (Say goodnight) Holding my last breath, (Don't be afraid) safe inside myself. (Calling you, calling you) Are all my thoughts of you. Sweet rapture of light, it ends here tonight.” As I / Eddy finish the last notes of the song I see that Detta / Odetta is looking confused, like she’s not sure how she even came to be here. Detta Walker has gone to sleep, Odetta Holmes has taken control. I tell Eddy that he only needs to use the song again if Detta comes back. It won’t do any harm to Detta, for she is merely another aspect of Odetta and the two must eventually become one if this woman is to survive and be healthy. Just remember the song and Detta Walker will not be able to cause any more trouble. Before I can figure out how to separate from Eddy I wake up.

Mystery Raiders

I am on a beach, though I’m not sure where I am. I walk along the beach for a short distance, but I don’t get a chance to think much about the situation before I hear gunshots not far away. The sounds are coming from the opposite direction from where I was heading, so I turn around and hurry in the opposite direction. The beach is mostly straight so soon I see some people up ahead on the beach. There is more gunfire, I see some people that seem to be attacking, a single man is taking cover behind some rocks and picking attackers off one by one, and there appears to be a body on the ground not far away from the man, also behind the large rock. There also seems to be a door standing there on the beach all by itself, a door that couldn’t possibly lead anywhere but I’m sure it does. The door is standing open, but all I can see through it is darkness. I go up in the hills off to my right to keep from being seen as I get closer to see what is going on. When I get up on a hill overlooking the fight below. I can now more clearly assess the situation.

The man who has been shooting is MoSh. He is using a pair of ancient looking guns that make a sound that could be heard from miles away every time one fires. The dead man is Roland from the Dark Tower books… but he’s not dead, I can see he is breathing though he doesn’t look too good. He looks sick, maybe on the brink of death. The people… if they are people… attacking them are the strangest thing going on here. They are completely concealed within cloaks and look like overgrown Jawas from Star Wars movies. Also, they have what look like guns, but the guns make no sound when they fire. I can only tell one has fired when a chunk of the rock MoSh is taking cover behind explodes. Each shot MoSh makes takes out one of the strange attackers, but there seem to be so many of them. Each of the enemies also turns to a black dust when the body hits the ground, conveniently leaving nothing by which to discern what they are. Then I see more of them coming out the strange door. MoSh sees that, too, and is almost close enough to reach out and close the door... but not quite. He would be exposed for too long.

Ok, so a distraction is in order. I move a bit farther away from the door and come down in a place that would make the attackers turn away from the door and MoSh. They don't seem to notice me at first. I call out to them, "Hey! Are all of you so craven that you can't even show your faces? Or are you so ugly that you're really doing us a favor by hiding?" That gets their attention. They turn towards me and aim their weapons at me. MoSh calls out that I don't want to get shot, do I? I call back that this is a dream, I'm not worried about getting shot. I form my left arm into an Alex Mercer shield as I see an enemy make a movement to fire. I hear no sound until I hear the sound of an impact on my shield that has a surprising amount of force behind it. And after the physical impact there is a wave of dark energy that flows over me... these guys play dirty! I stabilize the dark energy as I wonder exactly what these enemies are... dark energy wielding Jawas on steroids? I see MoSh is taking advantage of the distraction to reach the door and close it... but it won't close! I add a telekinetic push to the door to help MoSh out, but it still won't move. Shit... Roland probably opened the door, so he probably has to close it... I distract the enemies with a couple bolts of lightning through Metallica's Battery while MoSh gets back to cover and then I quickly join him.

More enemies are coming out the door to take the place of the ones I hit with lightning, MoSh plugs two of them before they even set foot on the beach. They fall on top of each other and then turn to dust. MoSh says the door wouldn't budge. I say Roland probably opened it, he probably has to close it. MoSh says good luck with that... can I heal him? He motions to Roland's motionless body. I go over to Roland and look at him. The heat of a fever is coming off of him in waves. I reach for his right arm and I see that his right hand, while whole, is badly swollen and an angry red color. I take hold of the hand and focus healing energy through Roland. MoSh says I'd better hurry, he's almost out of ammo. Roland seems to wake up from a fever dream and he reaches for his guns, which are missing. He then seems to recognize me. He looks over at MoSh and says he'd half thought seeing MoSh had been a dream. I tell Roland he has to close the door since he opened it. Roland says the door was a trap, a fake. I say yes, but he still has to close it. He struggles to his feet and then drops immediately as he is being shot at.

I tell Roland MoSh and I will cover him as he closes the door. This time when Roland moves from behind the rock towards the door I call more lightning and MoSh quickly shoots several more enemies. Roland closes the door, preventing more enemies from coming. MoSh and I make quick work of the few enemies remaining. The door closes with a resounding crash, and I barely have time to see it is emblazoned with the word "VOID" before it falls to the beach looking like just a large piece of driftwood. Roland asks if MoSh or I know who those strange things were. Humans don't turn to dust upon death... I tell him someone is setting traps around, but I don't know who or why yet. MoSh looks like he is about to say something but instead he disappears. I tell Roland to only open doors saying, "The Prisoner," "The Lady of Shadows," or "The Pusher." I know those to be real. Before he can say anything in reply I wake up.

2017, 09-27

Dark Tower – Beach Party

I am on a beach at night. I look around to see where I am. It’s a nice beach, except for the strange creatures crawling out of the sea onto the beach. These things look like some kind of cross between a crab and a lobster with extra-large pincers, but I notice they aren’t coming very far away from the water. They’re almost talking, but they talk nonsense like, “Did a chick? Dud a chum?” I start walking along the beach with the ocean at my left. I soon see something up ahead in the light of the moon. I approach it more quickly and soon I see that it is a door standing by itself, standing open. All of these clues put together have convinced me I am in a Dark Tower world and where there is a door on the beach Roland probably won’t be far away.

As I approach the door I see something lying on the ground in front of it. I soon see that it is a body lying there, and I correctly assume it is Roland. I get closer and check to see if he is ok. He is breathing steady, although I can feel a heat coming off of him as if he has a fever. I wonder how he could have a fever when I healed all his wounds… unless maybe my energy only healed the damage and didn’t get all of the poison… I look around and see that I am no longer alone. There are other people standing around, most of them have smirks on their faces. They are all wearing the symbol of the Templars. One of them comes over to me and puts on a fake friendly face, he says we have something to discuss. He says he wants to know exactly how the doors along this beach work so he and his associates can build one of their own. I tell him I really have no clue how the doors work (I don’t) and these Dark Tower worlds are the only place I’ve ever seen them. He doesn’t seem to believe me. He says he has medicine that can help my friend (Roland) or he can make sure Roland has no body to come back to.

I am about to respond when I see another person on the beach with us. This guy looks like a holy warrior or knight, he is dressed in bright armor and carrying a cool looking sword. The Templar who had been talking to me turns and asks who the fuck that guy is. The knight holds his sword out in front of him and it glows with a golden light almost too bright to look upon. The knight says the Templars may bare the holy mark of God, but he has seen through their disguise. He says he can see they have abandoned the teachings of our Saviour, Jesus Christ, and now they must stand and face their holy judgment and be cast down back into the pits from which they came. Now I hear some of the other Templars muttering amongst themselves, they seem to think the knight is crazy. The knight doesn’t wait to see their reactions, he attacks with his brightly glowing sword which is almost blinding now. I shield my eyes and see a Templar open a portal and a large something comes through, looks like a giant or a golem of some kind, and it attacks the knight.

I am distracted when I see a Templar over by the door. I’m not sure what he is doing, but I know it can’t be good. I am about to do something, but it seems he is about to go through the door. He doesn’t make it, however… there is the sound of a gunshot and he falls right through the door, dead. I look where the shot came from and I see MoSh has joined the party. The next period of time is a bit unclear because there is some chaos. A couple Templars attack me and I demonstrate my Alex Mercer blade arm for them. A Templar is disoriented, looks like he has been blinded by the knight’s bright sword, and he wanders too close to the lobstrocities coming from the water and gets torn apart. I hear numerous gunshots from MoSh’s guns and soon there are even more because Roland has come back through the door and in spite of the fact he seems sick he is shooting like the guns are a part of his hands. I figure that even though I didn’t stop the venom from making Roland sick I was able to make sure he has both his hands whole.

Soon there are no more Templars, just MoSh, the knight who I am thinking might be a friend I have been trying to dream with named Austin, Roland, and me. This seems like a good chance for everyone to get to know each other. I’m not completely sure the knight is Austin, but I figure that is my best guess so I go with it and introduce everyone to everyone else since I’m the only one who knows everyone here. I am even more convinced the knight is Austin when he says I’m his sister and hugs me. I hug him back, though I’m not sure if he can even feel it through his armor. I have barely finished introducing everyone when I wake up.

Game of Dreams – The Mystery Gunslinger

I am outside at night in a place I don’t recognize. The moon is covering the area in a silvery light. I look around and I see wide spaced trees and grass and a few rocks, but nothing particularly interesting. There is a town not far away that looks like something out of an RPG. I wonder where I am and what I am here to do. Then I see movement, someone is approaching the town. A lot of people are trying to stealthily approach the town, though not trying too hard because the moonlight gives them away. The people approaching are a bunch of armed warriors and I know they are there to cause death and destruction. They are all riding horses, but not moving very quickly. I morph my right arm into an Alex Mercer blade and move towards the approaching warriors.

When I get close enough for the warriors to see me one of them comes forward, probably their leader. He asks what a lone little girl is doing out here by herself? I say I am here to make sure he and his friends don’t cause any trouble. He asks what if they do? There’s nothing a little girl like me can do to stop them. Since they haven’t seen my Alex Mercer blade yet I hold it out to make sure they do. The man who has been talking to me does a double take and then says I’m not a little girl after all, I’m a little freak… a little abomination… and I will be the first one to die tonight. I ready my blade and tell the man that anyone among them who dares should go ahead and bring it, they’ll soon regret it.

The man who has been speaking to me says he can take care of this alone. He gets off his horse and walks over towards me with his sword ready. He makes a couple attempts to strike me and I block both. He attacks more seriously, but I block those attacks as well. Some of the other thugs are starting to mock him now. He pauses and glares at me, so I say it’s my turn now. I attack him with my blade arm and he blocks with his sword, but this time my blade arm cuts right through it. The man is stunned long enough for my blade to remove his head. The others stare as the man’s body collapses. One of them says I am a monster and must die! They close in around me, one of them says no one does that to a Lannister and gets away with it. So they are Lannisters… that means I am in a Game of Thrones dream.

I really don’t want to hurt any horses here, so I start by sending a telepathic message to each of the horses to buck off their riders. The horses respond and many of the riders fall of because they were unprepared, the rest end up getting off because their horses are impossible to handle or direct. The horses all take off. I say now that the innocents are out of the way I can take care of all those pathetic cowards who were trying to attack a civilian town. Even after what they saw happen to the first man the others are figuring I haven’t got a chance against all of them. I start proving them wrong. I cut down the first couple that come carelessly at me and the others stay back a bit longer, maybe trying to formulate a plan. I don’t think they’re capable of too much of a plan and I attack, cutting another one down.

As this is going on I hear a voice calling, “Save some for me!” That makes me and all of the thugs look over to see a man approaching. One of them asks who the fuck he is, but I know. It’s MoSh! I wonder what he is doing in a Game of Thrones dream, but he doesn’t pause. He pulls out a pair of guns and starts shooting. His shots are perfectly aimed, taking down one of the thugs with each shot targeted directly between their eyes. It seems my arm blade is no longer the most impressive thing here to them, now they are talking about the man who wields thunder in his hands and passes out death with it. One of the enemies near me mutters, “What is he? A wizard?” I say no, he’s a gunslinger, before relieving him of his head. Some of the thugs are running into the town and MoSh follows them. A man is trying to use a crying woman as a shield and I hear MoSh tell him he has forgotten the face of his father before blasting the confused look off of his face, leaving the woman untouched.

I get back to work, as there are far more enemies still around. I cut more of them down as they seem more disorganized than ever, not sure where to go or what to attack. As I am fighting I hear numerous more gunshots sound out and I know MoSh is taking out more enemies since there are no guns here. After a while MoSh and I are standing alone amidst the bodies of fallen enemies, all that remained alive have fled. MoSh comes over to me and holsters his guns, which are clearly genuine gunslinger weapons from Roland Deschain’s world, very fine and powerful weapons. MoSh looks around and then at me. He asks where Roland is. I can’t help but chuckle as I tell him Roland is in a different dream… this is the Game of Thrones world! Everything fades and I wake up.

The Dark Tower – Healing on the Beach

I am on a beach that somehow looks familiar. It reminds me of the beach that I used to focus on in my bedtime meditations to trigger lucid dreams. I walk down the beach just enjoying the feel of the ocean breeze, the sound of the birds, and the sound of the water. I haven’t gone far before I notice there is a man walking down the beach in my direction as if he was drunk. He also looks like he might be a bum, he is filthy and his clothes are all ripped up. I am about to continue on my way when I see him collapse. I figure even if he is a drunk, he might be in trouble and need help. I head in his direction. I see him reaching clumsily for a gun at his side but his arm doesn’t seem to be able to grasp it. The effort seems to be the last energy he had left and he passes out.

When I get closer to the man I see the reason he had been unable to draw his weapon. His right hand is wrapped in a dirty, blood drenched scrap of cloth. That doesn’t look good. I also see that there is the redness of infection making its way up his arm. I will help with that. While he is unconscious I carefully remove the filthy cloth and see that the hand is missing two fingers. No wonder it is bloody and infected. I focus healing energy through the man’s hand. Light energy surrounds the wounded hand and glows brightly for a bit and then is absorbed into the man’s body. The hand is now whole again. The red of infection is also gone from that spot. The man seems to recover some and he wakes up. He turns suddenly towards me and has his gun out in an instant but he doesn’t pull the trigger.

The man knows me, and I recognize him. He calls me Raven and I recognize him as Roland Deschain from the Dark Tower books. He realizes with some shock that he’s holding his gun in his right hand. I tell him he was injured somehow but I healed his hand. He asks how I did that, am I a sorceress? I tell him I’m a healer, using the light energy to do good. I ask if he is injured anywhere else. He said a lobstrocity bit off a toe from his right foot and took a chunk of meat from his right calf… I carefully remove the ratty boot from his right foot and heal the missing toe and then the injury in his leg. Now Roland is feeling much better and he stands up.

Roland wants to know how I found him here. I tell him my dream state takes me wherever I need to be. I look at one of his water skins and see it is empty, so I use the Harry Potter spell aguamente to fill it with fresh water. The other skin is nearly empty so I fill it as well. Roland says this is no dream. I say that for him it is real, but dreams are how I travel to the other worlds and for me this is a dream. Roland thanks me for filling his water skins and asks me if I happen to have any bullets on me, most of his took a wetting in the ocean. I don’t think I have any ammunition. Roland says he hopes I’m not hungry because he doesn’t have any food left. I am thinking to create some food for him but I don’t get a chance to do that before I wake.

The Dark Tower – Slow Mutants

I am in a dark place walking down a long passage. There are other people there with me, but I can’t see them because it’s dark. I only know they are here because I hear them speak sometimes and I hear their footsteps on either side of me. I wonder where I am and who they are. We continue at a slow pace, feeling our way along with our feet on what seems to be an old train track rail. After we go for a while I hear the man on my right bump into something. Before I can react, I also run into something and get a bonk on my head, bringing an involuntary “Ow!” My voice sounds weird, not like my own. The other man, on my left, apparently stops in time and says we need to watch where we’re going. The man on my right says not everyone is gifted with an uncanny ability to see in darkness. He strikes a light so we can all see. We have blundered into a hand car!

We all get on the hand car, but it seems so big! And either I have shrunk or these men are awfully tall… I recognize the men. One of them is Roland from the Dark Tower series, and the other is MoSh. I tell MoSh that he is dreaming. He asks if I have seen Raven. Roland asks if that is the woman who was with MoSh back in Tull, and MoSh says yes. I don’t say anything because apparently I am playing a different role again. The light goes out, but MoSh and Roland operate the hand car by touch. The hand car rolls along at a good pace, faster than we had been able to move in the dark. As we move on the passage seems to open up on both sides. I can’t really see this, but I can feel it in the air and tell the difference in how our voices sound. Before long Roland strikes another light and I get an idea of what the area around us looks like. There are several other sets of tracks that run parallel to ours and more that merge with ours or split off to the side. The light doesn’t last long and then we continue. We pass by what looks like an abandoned subway station where all there is to find is a few mummified bodies and a cheap looking bow with some arrows. Roland picks up the bow and arrows before we move back to the hand car to continue.

We haven’t gone much farther when I see something out in the darkness. Something is moving, and it seems to be glowing in the dark. As they get closer I see they look like zombies… glowing zombies? Maybe they’re radioactive… whatever they are, they’re attacking us! Zombies are closing in around the hand car as it comes to a stop. Roland shoots the first one with his gun, but the sound is deafening in the enclosed cave and dust falls from the ceiling from the vibrations. This place could collapse at any minute! Roland exchanges the weapon for the bow and arrows he picked up earlier. After two missed shots where he was probably getting the feel of the weapon, Roland starts knocking zombies down with arrows targeted right at their heads. Zombies hate fire, so I focus on the song Damage, Inc. by Metallica to throw a fireball… but all I get is a small candle sized flame that quickly goes out. MoSh says some of the zombies aren’t glowing, but he can still see them. He tells Roland where to find them and Roland brings them down. I am thinking if I can’t kill zombies I can get us out of here while the others are fighting. I grab the handle of the hand car and start pumping. It’s hard work to do that in such a small body. Slowly the hand car picks up speed and we leave what’s left of the zombies behind.

Roland is peering ahead into the darkness when I see MoSh disappear. I know he has just awakened, but when Roland sees MoSh is missing he stops the hand car. He asks where MoSh has gone? I say he woke up, this was just a dream to him. And in fact, I will wake up, too. I say I know Roland is thinking he will leave these tunnels to find the Man in Black alone, but that’s ok. I won’t be with him just because I have other places to be. He is clearly puzzled by what I have said, but we have no choice but to continue. I see the exit far ahead, a spot of light in the endless darkness. When we get closer there is a rotted trestle bridge spanning a wide crevice. I can hear water flowing down below. We get about half way across when I tell Roland this is where I get off. I say I’ll stay long enough to make sure he makes it across, but then I have to go. He is confused and asks where I will go? There is nowhere to go! I tell him of course there is. There are other worlds than this, and I have to go to one of them to wait until we meet again. And we will meet again, of that I am certain. He seems reluctant to walk away, so I figure I just have to go. I know Jake has to fall here and “die” so he will be in the right place for Roland to “draw” him later. So I step off of the bridge out into nothingness, calling back to remind Roland that there are other worlds than this and I wake up as I hit the rocks below.

The Dark Tower – Escape From Tull

I am in a rather rundown looking town. I don’t recognize anything about it. I walk down the main street, the only street, looking to see why I am here. I see many of the buildings along the road are boarded up and abandoned. I finally find a place that looks like a tavern or an inn and I go inside there. The first thing I see is a man near the door that looks like death itself. He looks up at me with a pained expression as he asks why ‘he’ didn’t make him not want it anymore. I ask who ‘he’ is and the man says the angel could make him alive again, why couldn’t he make him not want the weed? A woman at the bar tells him to leave me alone, calling him Nort. She says I should pay him no mind, he’s just a weed eater. She looks like she wants to say something more but thinks better of it.

I go outside and I see someone who looks familiar, so I head in his direction. It’s Roland Deschain from the Dark Tower books by Stephen King. He stops briefly and says I’m not from Tull, am I just passing through? He doesn’t wait for an answer, he has somewhere he has to be. I follow after him, not sure what is happening yet. I tell him all I know for sure is I am here to help someone. I follow him to a strange house. No one answers the door and he kicks it down. When I get inside I see a really fat naked woman sitting on a chair and facing the door as if she’d been expecting someone. I am wishing she had some clothes on. Roland doesn’t seem to care. She claims to have been touched by an angel, and the angel left his child inside her. Roland says the man in black is no angel. She seems to think he was an angel because he claimed to be and he raised Nort from the dead. I remember the sickly man in the pub. I ask if she means that weed eater back in town? Roland looks surprised that I followed him here. I say that was no angel that brought Nort back… a true angel would have healed him of his addiction, not just brought him back to continue suffering. She doesn’t seem to have an answer to that, but at the same time she won’t entertain the idea the man in black was anything less than an angel. Roland says there’s no reasoning with this one, the man in black already owns her.

Time seems to pass, or the scene changes. I am now with another man and we are near the pub. I look at the man and identify him as MoSh, a fellow dreamer from DreamViews. I look around to see why we might be here. MoSh looks at me and then around at the town. He says this is a really nice set… are they filming the Dark Tower movie here? I tell him no, this is a dream, though I’m not really listening to my own words. The townspeople are surrounding us. A man tells MoSh and me to get out of the way, they aren’t after us. Everyone there has some kind of weapon in their hands. Knives, shovels, pitchforks, sticks with nails… they are all around us. And right there with them is the fat woman from earlier, fortunately not naked any longer, holding a cross up and pointing at Roland and telling everyone to kill the interloper. Everyone starts closing in around us, cutting off escape. They apparently don’t care too much if innocent bystanders get caught in their attack. But I am remembering that they aren’t exactly themselves… the man in black set this all up, so maybe they can be set free.

I tell Roland and MoSh that if they can try to avoid killing the people I think I can heal them and set them free of the man in black’s influence, at least some of them. Roland says that would be great, but it won’t help if we’re dead first. I tell him I understand that, I’ll try to be quick. MoSh says he can knock out anyone trying to approach without killing them. I walk towards the crowd, and they part to let me pass. I guess they were telling the truth when they said MoSh and I aren’t their targets. I get out among them and then I focus on the song Full Moonlight from the Devil Hunter Yohko soundtrack. I see MoSh using martial arts that looks like Ranma Saotome, knocking out any of the townspeople who approach him and Roland. Roland hasn’t yet fired a round. My song plays and an orb that looks like a moon is hovering over the town, bathing the entire area in light energy. When it ends I see a lot of the people look disoriented and confused. The fat woman is still pointing and telling them to kill the interloper. Roland answers her with a bullet between the eyes. A few others try to attack, but they don’t get very close before they’re shot.

After the few remaining attackers have been dealt with everyone else is still wandering aimlessly. Roland asks if they will be ok. I tell him a little confusion is to be expected, I’m sure they will be fine in a little while. But I’m not sure how they will react to what happened here… it might be a good idea for Roland to not be here when they recover. He says he was already planning on leaving. We go into the pub and Roland stops, looking at a dead woman. I recognize the bartender from earlier. She has been shot in the head and is holding a gun. Roland says she must have gone and said it… if only she had been able to hold out a little longer. He takes some supplies from the kitchen and leaves payment in the form of several gold coins and then turns to leave. He says he doesn’t know who MoSh or I am, but it looks like we have the power to change even the man in black’s infernal plans. I tell him we may meet again before this is all done. Before he can say more everything fades and I wake up.

Game of Dreams – Night Ambush

I am in what used to be a whore house. There are whores all around me trying to get my attention. I ignore them, I was there to meet someone and now I’m leaving. There is a man near the door. He greets me when I get there. I'm thinking it's time to get back to the castle. The man, who I seem to think is called Little Finger, but I'd rather call him Little Dick, is saying goodbye to some whores. We leave and it is raining outside. Jory Cassel is with me as are two other of my guards. We mount our horses and ride towards the castle, chatting about Robert’s bastards. It seems that the previous hand was murdered after looking into Robert’s bastards. But why? Everyone already knows the king has more bastards than true born children… I have a bad feeling as we are riding through deserted streets in Kings Landing.

One of our guards calls a warning, and the next thing I know we are surrounded by soldiers. All them with the Lannister lion displayed. I recognize, Jamie Lannister, is on a horse. His foot soldiers close in around us. There must be at least 20 of them. This is not good for us, there are only four of us. Jamie is asking if I remember his brother, and then describes Tyrian Lannister. Of course I remember him. Jamie says that he seems to have run into some miss fortune on the road. I told him that's too bad. He asked if I would know anything about this. I say no, how would I know anything about this I've, been here. Little Dick sighs, apparently happy with that response. It's just the truth. Jamie doesn't believe me. He says he knows I gave the order to capture his brother. I am clueless. I ask who captured his brother. He says my wife has of course. He says he sure I knew that. Jamie then turns his attention to Little Dick. He says if Little Dick doesn't want to get blood on his clothes he had better leave now. Little Dick rides his horse pass the soldiers, and they let him pass. Little Dick calls back that he will get the city watch. He disappears around the corner moving at a quick pace.

Jamie Lannister seems to be out for blood. He pulls out his sword and tells me to show him my steel. He says he will gladly do me like he did Ares, but he'd rather if I had a blade in my hand. I tell him he can't kill me. He thinks about it, and then says I'm right. He says that would run the risk of my wife killing his brother out of spite. He rides his horse out past his soldiers. He calls back to them to make sure no harm comes to me. And then he chuckles evilly. He tells them to kill my companions. I tell him that's not going to happen. He laughs and says there’s nothing I can do to stop them unless I plan on fighting all of his soldiers myself. I look up at the sky, and I see that it’s still cloudy and raining. This means no one will notice an errand bolt of lightning or two... Jamie Lannister rides away like a coward, but his soldiers are closing in around us. We have no choice but to fight.

I call a bolt of lightning with the song Battery by Metallica. One of the soldiers get struck by lightning and falls over. His metal armor was a perfect conductor. That all hell breaks loose. Some of the soldiers are confused by the random bolt of lightning, but most of them seem to think that was a fluke. The fighting begins. I strike a bolt of lightning down on one of the soldiers who is going after one of my guards. I turn and look at someone is almost grabbed a hold of Jory, but he removes the person's head with his sword. I have to be careful when I call a bolt of lightning to make sure that none of my people are touching the target or they will get electrocuted. I strike another bolt of lightning on an enemy not touching anyone else. There's another one down. My companions are fighting like mad. They are doing a good job, but there are just too many enemies. One of my guys is being pulled off of his horse. He manages to get loose just enough that I am clear to hit the enemy. I hit three enemies around him with lightning. The lightning broke into three and hit all of them at once. Some enemies are saying the gods have turned against them. I call a bolt of lightning on another one. The rest of them run now.

I turn my horse around to make sure that Jory and my two guards are safe, but I do it too fast for the wet muddy ground. My horse slips and falls over, with my leg trapped under it. That is extremely painful. Jory yells at them not to come back. My horse man just to get up off of me, but I know that my leg must be badly broken. My guards come to me and one of them says my leg looks really bad. I am a little delirious right now. I am laughing crazily as I say I couldn’t avoid my injury, but at least you three are ok. One of my guards gets on each side of me to hold me up. My leg is a flare of pain. They start helping me down the street, I see people walking out of buildings but none of them want to get involved. My two guys are talking about how strange it was that lightning struck, only struck the Lannisters. Finally we meet up with the city watch that Little Dick promised to send. They have a cart so I am able to ride back to the castle. I am in and out of consciousness. The next thing I know there is a guy there with a cup telling to drink. I would swear he said it was milk of the puppy. I tell him I don't want to drink dog milk. But he's insistent, and I end up drinking it. It tastes weird. And as soon as I drink it I pass out.

Game of Dreams – Mountain Fortress

I am riding on a horse. I am Catelyn. I am riding with a small group of people into the mountains. Right now we are hiding. One of our people spotted horse riders heading our way. There are roving bands of bandits around here. We have already lost a couple people to them. We don't want to meet another attack. I can see Tyrion Lannister nearby. He is sharpening an axe. We are waiting with trepidation for the riders to arrive. I am hoping they pass us by, but I don't know how much chance there is of that. Then one of our people calls out. He has cited a banner being flown by the riders. It is the sigil of my sister’s house. These are not enemies. I am relieved. One of the visitors is my uncle. He has the symbol of the black fish on his cloak. He says we should've let them know we were coming so they could meet us with an escort. He says it's very dangerous on the roads. I say yeah we found out the hard way. He is here to escort us the rest of the way. He has about 12 people with him.

We proceed into the valley. We passed through gate that is guarded, but the guard lets us right through. We continue down into the valley, and I look back to see Tyrion riding right next to Braun, one of those sell swords, and feel suspicious. I know he didn't try to kill my son, but he might still be up to something. Now I have to clean up the mess that Catelyn has made while I was away. I know that tear Tyrion is innocent, but she wasn't convinced. I talk to my uncle about what happened. I tell him about my son’s fall, about the attempted murder that I interrupted, and about how someone is trying to set Tyrian up. I tell him that we made like we were taking him prisoner so that maybe the actual perpetrator would feel complacent and get careless. He thinks my tale is rather strange. He says that's not what my letter said. I tell him that I did not want anyone to possibly intercept that letter. So we have had to behave as if Tyrion was our prisoner.

Soon we reach a gate house at the base of a mountain. Most of our group stays down below. However, my sister has requested that I come up immediately. It is night time now, and that is a dangerous climb at night. A girl says that she has made the trip up the mountain many times in the dark. We will ride mules. We take the mules most of the way. We make our way up the mountain at a slow but steady pace. The girl and I have some small talk, but nothing really important. We finally get to the farthest point where the mules can go no farther. Now there is a steep climb that is more like a stone ladder instead of a stair. The last part has to be done on foot, or to ride up in a basket that is used to raise goods and supplies. I remember earlier Tyrion said he has his pride and therefore would not ride up with the turnips. That seems silly to me. I say I have more sense than Tyrion, and since I’m tired I will ride up in a basket.

I am lifted up to the top where there is a castle. They take me to see my sister. At first she seems happy to see me, and give me a big hug. She's a bit chubbier than I remember. But as soon as we are alone, she starts yelling at me for bringing Tyrion to her castle. She says she didn't want to get involved with the Lannister's. I told her she's not going to be able to avoid them. She says no one can get in the Eyrie. As she was yelling she woke a child in the next room. A little boy comes out asking what's going on. This is the new ward of the Eyrie? He's only six years old. I try to talk sense to my sister about preparing for a possible war. The kid gets scared. My sister is coddling him. To my surprise, my sister pulls her nightclothes down over one breast, and the six-year-old boy begins to nurse. What the fuck? My three-year-old no longer nurses! It is all I can do not to say something. But I don't want to make things with my Lysa even worse. The boy asks if Tyrion is a bad person. My sister says he is. I say someone is setting him up, he didn’t do anything. Lysa ignores me. The boy asks if we can make TTTLY. She says that might be just what we do. I am feeling a bit annoyed at her now.

Game of Dreams – Cats and Monsters

Arya: I am playing a game of virtual reality Assassins Creed, or that's what I think of it as. The current mission is to catch cats. There are a lot of stray cat some various kinds around, and I'm supposed to catch them. The place that I’m at looks kind of like a Medieval castle. There are a lot of outside courtyards, towers, buildings, and it's almost like a maze. I am chasing the final cat. I have taken all of the other cats to see my teacher, and now I am chasing the final cat. A mean looking Tom cat. I have him cornered. I get hissed at. He tries to dart past me, but I am faster. I catch the cat, pick him up in my arms as he struggling and yowling and hissing. I gave him a kiss right on his fuzzy face. He does not appreciate it. There are some people that have found me. There are two guards, a stern looking woman, a little boy, and a young girl who asks what I am doing to the cat. Maybe I have wandered into an area where I shouldn’t be. I tell the truth, or part of it. I say I am cuddling the cat. I let the cat go and he takes off, pausing to give me one more hiss as he goes.

From how they speak to me, these people think I am just a random beggar child. I take advantage of that, and make a break for it. With some tricky moves, I get past the guards and knock the boy down as I am trying to get away. I jump over him and run down the pathway. I hear the guards closing in behind me, so I jump up and grab a windowsill and pull myself in through the window. They cannot follow. I think there may be another way they can follow, so I keep going. I run through courtyards, upstairs, downstairs, and in through a window into a really dark cellar. I am completely lost by now. There are skulls here in the cellar, I see them as my eyes adjust the dark. The skulls are huge and menacing. I have a brief flash of fear when I first see them, but then I remind myself they're already dead. They can't hurt me. But I do need to get out of here.

I go out the door in the far side of the room, and it's even darker in the hall. I make feel my way down the hall until I hear voices. I see a light coming out of a hole in the ground. There's a stairway there that leads deep beneath the castle. Two men come out of the hole, and I make sure I'm flat against the wall so they won't see me. They are talking. One of them is a really fat guy and I think I know who he is. I don’t recognize the other. The fat guy wants to stall for time before there is a war. The other tells him to just speed things up, he should be able to, he is a wizard. They start talking about a murder. I hear them talk about the Kings Hand dying... that’s my father! They want to kill my father. They head off down the hall, missing me completely, now talking about what sounds like slave children. I need to find a way out, so I follow them. I stay too far back to hear their voices. Eventually I lose them completely. I keep following the tunnel, and it turns into a sewer. I'm wading in sewage when I finally find my way to the outside. I stink worse than anything I can think of. So I take off my clothes and try to wash up in the river near the exit. I don't want to alert everyone 10 miles away that I'm coming. I am swimming when I wake.

2017, 08-24

Game of Dreams – Shadow Attack

Tyrion: I am riding on a horse. There is a wet bag over my head and my hands are tied in front of me. We finally come to a stop. When they remove the bag I look around to see where I am. None of it looks familiar, but somehow I know it's not where I'm supposed to be. I see some people around me that I recognize. There is a woman here with us, Catelyn Stark. I am angry at her because when I was playing this game as her I set a plan in motion. She has totally screwed it up. When I was playing as her I had clearly put into her mind that Tyrian Lannister (who I am playing as right now) did not try to kill her son. But she threw that out. When we start moving again they leave the bag off of my head. And then they untie my hands. Am I supposed to be grateful? A couple times when I have a chance to talk I try to tell Catelyn I'm not the one that tried to kill her son. I even try logic. If I was the one that tried to kill her son, why would I use my own blade? That would be stupid. I tell her I just left Winterfell after having given them a plan for making a saddle so that her crippled son could ride a horse. Why would I want to kill him and then make him a nice saddle? And then there was the story of how I supposedly got the dagger in question. I'm interrupted at this point, however, because we are under attack.

We are hugely outnumbered. We need every single fighter we can get. I am there, with two of men loyal to Tyrion. But none of us are armed. I tell Catelyn that we should all be able to flight. She doesn't want to trust me. I tell her that if some of us lose here then we all lose. These bandits will kill everyone regardless of family, we are in this together. Finally she gives us weapons. She gives my companions a sword at a bow, and she gives me a big ass axe. A big old battle axe. Now I feel more like a dwarf out of Lord of the rings. The enemies are approaching, and our archers attack first. I see that there was a minstrel with us who is hiding behind a rock. I looked out into the line of fire and I see that the arrows aren’t actually doing anything to the enemies. They are just bouncing harmlessly off some strange energy field around them. It looks like dark energy. But what would they be doing with dark energy? I know if someone doesn't charge our weapons with light energy then we're screwed.

I don't know how I will explain it, but I have to do something. I focus on the song Battery by Metallica to charge everyone's weapons on our side would light energy. There is some lightning and sparks pass to all of our side’s weapons. Everyone pauses, but there isn’t time to question now. They have to go back to fighting. The next arrows that our archers loose cut right through the dark energy field. I have also charged my own axe with light energy. That means we are able to hit the enemies, but it doesn't mean we can't be hurt by them. I am doing my best. It seems a bit awkward handling such a big weapon when I'm so small. I jump up on top of a horse’s head, not realizing I could even jump that high, and bury my axe in an enemy’s head. I take out another enemy that was right next to the first from the back of the first enemy’s horse. I jump down to the ground and the two horses run off to get out of the violence.

I am about to go after some more enemies when I hear a woman scream. I turn around and look and see that Catelyn is surrounded by enemies. It only vaguely crosses my mind to not do anything. Instead I go over there and bury my axe in the back of one of the enemies. A second enemy turns away from Catelyn and starts coming at me. That leaves him wide open. Catelyn has a dagger and it is charged with light energy. She slits his throat with it. The other enemy that was attacking her, and all of the others that are still alive, have decided not to stick around. They were probably figuring they were completely protected. But they weren't. At least not protected from me. I look around for a bit, several people have died. I wasn’t able to save everyone. Tyrion’s own people are among the dead. They weren’t really warriors, Tyrion hadn’t expected to have to fight.

One of Catelyn’s people is injured, Sir Rodrik Cassel. I am thinking I can heal him, but I don't want to make it too obvious. I look around and then pick up some dry leaves. They are harmless. I tell the Sir Rodrik and Catelyn that I have something that can help his wound. At first they don't want me anywhere near him. I finally convinced them when I tell say that if we get attacked again, we need every single fighter we can get. So they finally let me try. I put the harmless but useless leaves on the wound and tell him it’s a special herb that will help with healing. I also focus healing energy. The man says that he can feel the difference right away. This is the pain is going away. After I am done with that, one of the other people thinks that I should give up my weapons, but Catelyn says I am to keep them, we may be attacked again with little notice. I finish my previous thought. I couldn’t have won the dagger when my brother lost the joust because I never bet against my family. I lost considerable coin on that match. It is here I wake up.
