dream fragment

My recall was terrible last night so I only remember a short fragment which is too bad. But I think in general it is getting a lot better. (3 months ago I couldn't even remember any dreams.)

I'm still at only 1 lucid but all day awareness and RCs are definitely helping, I actually ended up doing an RC in one of my dreams the other night but I never became lucid.

Anyway, still practising. My goal is to achieve lucids almost everyday, which would be amazing. Definitely trying to make it happen.

October 17, 2011 - At the train station - Portugal

Fragment 1
I’m in a train station bathroom in Portugal with a guy named Sandro. We had to wait for the train so we used the bathroom in the meantime. The bathroom looked very dark. I remember being really hot and dry so I took off my shirt and put it underneath the tap. Sandro asked what I was doing but we soon realised the train was here so we rushed out of the bathroom and got on this red – looking, double decked bus; Similar to the ones seen in London.
I had a glasses case with me on the station platform just before we got on. The glasses case held our tickets. Sandro just rushed on the tram heading upstairs while I showed the woman who was driving our tickets. Sandro looked quite surprised. I guess he was surprised that I actually still held the tickets because he thought I lost them.

When we get off the tram, we are at the beach. I see one of my friends from school, Alex and say hi to him. The station we get off at looks very much like a beach area. I remember it being sunny and quite busy.

Fifth DJ entry! However, I still havent had a lucid experience yet. I'm not sure what it could be, I've been trying so hard lately to do a DILD however I can't get my mind to recognise I'm in a dream. MILD next, we'll see how that goes.

Anyway, my insomnia has been gone for the past month because of routine and consistency with my sleep schedule. Its totally awesome just being able to sleep normally again and fall asleep within a half-hour.

Also I'm thinking of drawing some sketches on paper and uploading them here so you guys can sort of have a visual element when you read this journal. Just trying to make it a bit more interesting.

September 16 - 17, 2011 - Train Crash.

Had a weird dream last night but I loved it because it was like an action packed movie. Anyway, not much which I wrote down because I couldn't force myself to do a full DJ entry at 4:00am.

Dream 1
I remember being in Portugal riding on a newly built transit infrastructure project which they had just implemented. I was on this single track line of what seemed to be an above ground subway train. This train would take you all over the city that you were in.

I boarded the train with my family and it was going pretty smoothly for a while until the driver jumped out the window while the train was still going at really high speeds.

I remember hearing all this screaming as the train needed to go through this tight corner. Finally, someone opened the door and and he said, "Quick! Jump off!" And we jumped off as fast as we could while we pushing to get off the train and we had just made it. The train then derailed itself and crashed into a glass pane before catching on fire.

...And that was really all I remember because I didn't write much down.

Forth DJ entry. I'm going to try to see if I can post everyday from now on. Its good to get into a habit.

Anyway, I haven't posted in quite a while and because of that I also haven't really ade much progress in my LDing. I guess I just need to try harder.

Some Things that I would like to implement regularly:

- 3 types of Reality checks
- Meditation
- Vitamin B + Apple Juice (We'll see if this works )

Anyway I've got recall and my insomnia up to par so I'm good with that. Anyway, if anyone has any advice let me know.

August 30 - 31, 2011 - Duck Duck Goose in a Pagoda?

Basically its a dream about my old class from grade 10. Its pretty bizarre considering the fact the dream was totally cluttered with random segments that made little sense what so ever.

Segment 1
Hundreds of students were sitting under a hollow Asian style large Pagoda type of structure. The flooring was light hardwood and we all sat in a square like formation around the structure. Students were sitting on the floor and teachers were standing around in various places. The teachers told us to clap along with whatever clapping pattern they were doing. I was confused. I sat there and at first it seemed like the students refused such a dumb demand but as the clapping got louder (obviously more people joined in eventually), I realised that this wasn't a group clap but instead a giant game of duck duck goose only by pointing instead of touching someone. I sat behind S.D. and she was chosen. She then pointed at H.M. and he seemed to point at me but someone else got up and I became slightly embarrassed.

Segment 2
The next thing I remember was a yellow memo being handed out to our class from my grade 10 teacher. We were in class having a discussion about aliens and some people said they believed they existed so just before we left we were given this memo. On the third paragraph it said "Oh and by the way, if anyone still believes in aliens visit this YouTube video." It was a short video with what I believe to be Jim Carey in it for some reason.
