    1. Lucids #2-6: Summaries. Flying, pillow talk, texting, a canal, a mall, and more!

by , 01-02-2016 at 08:42 PM (Pasta time with patches!)
I'm posting all of these ones together because these are ones I had before but forgot to put on here when I had them. If you think I should split them up, just say so.

#2 Got lucid and started to fly across a small lake. My body was positioned horizontally like a bird. It was quite vivid. Lots of blues and greens. (lasted 30 seconds or so)

#3 I forget if this was number 3 or 4. It doesn't really matter. Anyways, I was with this other woman, sitting on a bed, waiting for this one man to come home. We looked in eachother's eyes and said, 'We're dreaming, right?' or something along those lines, and I realized I was dreaming. (30 seconds)

#4 I dreamt I was texting my boyfriend in Dutch on the computer--then I realized I was dreaming. I tried to type some more stuff when lucid, but it was super slow and pretty much impossible. (30 seconds)

#5 In this one I was looking at my parents old lake property. After studying it, and noticing how it looked similar to how I remembered, I realized that I was dreaming, because we sold that place to other people. I then realized I was standing on the other side of a small canal (like those on the side of the road in the Netherlands) and I saw my dad sitting on a chair in front of one of the reddish houses that were attached together. On the right, it merged into the old lake property in an interesting way. I told my dad what I observed.

Then, I tried flying across the canal to my house, but it was much slower than I was used to. It was neat looking at the vivid scenery when I did so though. I did get to the other side, and I think I walked around/looked around for a bit, and then woke up. (5 minutes)

#6 So I was at a mall, and there was this mood ring display sitting near the exit. It had all sorts of mood rings with cool blue/purple/so on colours. They were personality mood rings, sort of. Let's just say they described certain NSFW identities/roles. I think I looked for one that fit me.

I saw my dad further inside the store, and he looked like he was getting ready to leave. so I started to walk up towards him but then I realized how vivid it was, and decided to try flying (I thought it had to be reality, it couldn't be a dream). To my surprise but not surprise, I succeeded.

So I flew over to my dad, around 1 meter off the ground, and told him i'd be checking out the mood rings. He said okay, and I think he gave me a jar of spaghetti. so I took it, and flew back to find the mood rings. I suspected that the stall had probably disappeared, and when I flew in the space between the two doors I saw that it had.

During all this I was looking around at the vivid mall scene, and occassionally refocusing. It was painfully vivid almost, and it felt like my eyes were open even though they were not. I finally lost focus when I was at where the moodrings were, and the scene went grey. However, I still felt the jar of spaghetti in my hands. I thought, 'No, it couldn't be', and I pressed my hands against it, and it felt real. So I opened my eyes and saw the spaghetti jar under my sheets, with a bit of a spaghetti sauce stain on one of them. I wondered how the heck I took a spaghetti sauce jar to bed, so then I realized I might still be dreaming, and then i woke up--I think?

Either that, or while I had the jar I started to chat on my phone in the dream and maybe tell about the rings and me randomly holding a jar of spaghetti. I think gab reacted to it somehow (in the dream chat). Anyways, and then I woke up! (Probably lasted 5-10 minutes).
    2. Lucid #7: Lost at school, to the library then bed.

by , 01-02-2016 at 05:52 PM (Pasta time with patches!)
I've only had DILDs before, and this is no exception. This one lasted 10-20 minutes though, which was a first.

The dream started off with me in an English class, being taught by one of my favourite teachers at university. But she had given us a test, and I hadn't prepared at all. I didn't even know why I was in school. Anyways, I tried to cheat, but I couldn't, so I ended up finishing the test with a big portion of it being blank. I thought to myself, 'Meh, whatever, I'm not really in school anyways.'.

The scene changed to another class. The professor was explaining how everyone reads differently, and certain books are difficult for certain people. Anyways, the point was that he was letting us choose what book we'd do an essay on, and he soon let us come up to the books that were stacked at the front. Me and this other girl that I knew were completely lost. She asked what the essay was supposed to be about, since she had no idea what we had done in class before now. I agreed and I think then I realized that it was a dream and I wasn't actually in class.

So then I looked around for a computer, both to see if I could find a syllabus for us, and to see if I'd have any luck typing on a computer in a lucid a second time around. No luck, and apparently I was now in a dimly lit library. I saw a young boy walking along with an empty plastic sandwich bag. I took it from him and looked around for a trash bin, taking him along with me. Meanwhile I was trying to keep the lucid clear. I found one and I think I payed no more attention to him after I found one.

Now here's where it gets weird. Either I tried phasing or teleporting and got inside a bedroom, or the scene changed to a bedroom. Anyways, once I was in the bedroom, I saw that my sister was sleeping in one of the two beds. I didn't pay attention to that for a bit. By now, the lucid had felt like it had been going on for 10 minutes. I decided that I might as well see if I could teleport outside. So I tried, picturing the outdoors in my mind, but I failed. I eventually gave up and decided to go to sleep beside my sister. But before that, I think I tried phasing through the bed, and I think I succeeded in partially going through the side. After that, I lay down in the bed, tried to phase my arms though the blankets, and just stared at the ceiling trying to keep awareness for as long as possible. Maybe a minute or two after, I woke up.
    3. Make your own fruit salad booth!

by , 12-07-2015 at 02:12 AM (Pasta time with patches!)
The other dreams I had today were too personal to share, but this one was neat:

So, I'm pretty sure that I was in the dream version of my university, when I came across this fruit stall outside on a path/road. It had all different kinds of fruits on it, along with styrophome bowls for people to use.

There were a few people moving around the stall thing (it was a big open table kind of thing sort of. Hard to describe), and I realized that the point was for you to chop your own fruit and put it in the bowl for a kind of fruit salad thing. So it was basically a 'make your own fruit salad' booth.

I said to them that it was a great idea--much better than those stalls that sold fresh juice drinks. I think I either moved on or stopped dreaming before I tried to make my own fruit salad.

I often dream about various food stalls/places in my dream university, but this certainly was unique.
    4. Lucid #1: First lucid dream? (aka. the Schrödingers dream)

by , 10-02-2015 at 06:01 AM (Pasta time with patches!)
Still have no idea if this was a lucid or not, but I'll post it anyways.

For context, earlier in the night I had a nightmare or two. (I forget the details). When I woke up, I remember thinking to myself, 'Yay, nightmares! Nightmares means I'll be more likely to have lucid dreams'. I had just read that natural lucid dreamers tended to have them because of nightmares as a kid. Anyways, I promptly fell back to sleep.

Then, I dreamt another dream (don't remember this one either, weirdly enough). Supposedly around the end I thought to myself, 'Wait a moment, I'm dreaming.' Or something like that. I didn't perform any RCs (I never got in the habit of doing that), but I thought repeatedly, 'Am I dreaming? Am I actually aware that I'm dreaming? Let me make sure.' and stuff like that.

Finally convinced that I did all that I could to ensure that I wasn't just dreaming about being aware that I was dreaming, I started to move around in this weirdly grey void. This is weird because I have really good recall, and my past 1000+ dreams have been super vivid visually.

Tactically, however, it felt really weird. Kind of like I was in a different state. I was super aware of my movement, and so it felt 'dense'. I don't know how to describe it. And it felt like I could easily slip out of this state.

Anyways, I decided to wake up after a minute or so because it was really weird, new, there didn't look like there was much else I could do, and I wanted to tell people about it. I'm not sure if I actually woke up or had a false awakening, but if I actually woke up I must have thought that it was too awkward to use my phone for some reason. Then I had a few more dreams and woke up in the morning.

Did I have a lucid dream, or did I just dream about what my mind pictured a lucid dream would feel like? I don't know, but I figured I'd record it as one anyways. If I have another one, I can see if it feels similar. I call it the Schrödingers dream because was it a lucid, was it not? We will never know.
