This is from night before last.

There were a set of flowerbeds squeezed in the meagre space near some houses and a park and my entire family, car parked nearby, was looking around. It was white and had petals elongated and tapered inward to make a sort of bulb. Below it was a plague, which warned that its species is venomous; just touching the tip is enough for it to poison you, and you'll barely feel it. First, it says, you go numb, then collapse, and if not treated, die soon after. Past the open car door, I can just see a hand almost touching it, apparently oblivious to the danger, and I'm paralysed by indecision, as making a scene might shock them into moving their hand and making them poison themselves. I shout a warning, but it's too late. Not much time left...

From last night.

I'm near a car park, on the edge of a grass verge and across a road runs a path towards the high school a fair distance away. It's dusk. The weather is bleak, so dark and overcast and pouring with cold rain. An ambulance is parked next to the path, and there is some sort of activity, but I can't see what they're doing. It was more a grim sign of injury or an omen in the way it felt. The scene shifts and I'm back at school for some reason, trying to work out, and the buildings are massively extended into a new wing, somewhat creepy in a clinical or bureaucratic way, that couldn't physically fit into the way the real school is built. I'm wondering why the ambulance is there, so I decide to go back and see if I can find anyone, and the next I know I'm there. The road is suddenly busy and it takes a while to find an opportunity to cross over. Despite that, there's hardly any people about. There are now two or three ambulances, and it's starting to worry me. What's injuring people? The only other person about is a girl, who was just going back, but doesn't know about what's happening either. Then the dream gets incoherent. There might have been other things happening, but I can't remember too well. I'm back in the ersatz wing of the school. Sherlock Holmes was investigating the incident. Watson was secretly broadcasting everything live on television, but Sherlock knew, informed him that he knew, and didn't particularly care. In the end, he determines that a cruel alien species, I think the name started with 'q', that uses baby skulls as shields was responsible.
