    1. Noveibrik the wolf

On January 1st I had a dream that had elements of Dracula (particularly the character of Van helsing) and Beauty and the Beast. It started off with some creepy old guy with an accent that sounded faintly German. He was in this old and very dark house (there were some candles), talking to this woman who was either his maid or his wife. He was telling her that he was going to send his great nephew to go to this large house and investigate something. The nephew did NOT want to go but he obliged wanting to prove himself. I was in his body briefly traveling through the air? I remember his fear. Fast forward, I was with a large group of girls, some quite little and young. We were being chased by this one wolf, who seemed very vicious and menacing. I could hear him running to find us but he wasn’t where we were at that moment. The only escape route we had was a staircase that led onto the roof. I knew that wasn’t the best escape option we had but it was the only one. Even though I was scared, I stayed behind and made sure everyone got out okay. I was definitely more terrified about something happening to them than I was something happening to me. As I waited I was ambushed by a pack of wolves. The leader ( the vicious one I mentioned earlier) hung around at the back. I remember the small staircase the wolves had to run up to get to me. I thought for a second that I was a goner when a gold ring flashed before my eyes and I ran over to the leader and begged him to let the others go. I promised him I would stay with him if he did ( I think I may even have promised to marry him). I remember part of me thinking that this wasn’t going to work and they would just shred me to pieces, but it did. I threw my arms around his furry neck and we disappeared. The others were spared. I was surprised at how cuddly he was. He looked like a wolf or a Siberian husky. He had mostly black fur with white stripes and dark eyes. I later saw on paper that his name was Norveibrik or something like that. I can remember all the beautiful scenery but can’t describe it well enough. Most of the interior was mahogany, i.e. the staircases and walls. the main entrance had white wallpaper and was illuminated by a chandelier. The other areas were kept light with large arched, stain glassed windows and an open door. There was this large bridge made from a creamy white stone on the outside. The sides had exposed roots and plants hanging out. The bridge was surrounded by broken and crumbled pillars. I must have fallen over the side because an owl like creature with grey feathers was helping me back up by allowing me to hold onto its back. I remember feeling weirded out that I was okay with being so close to it (it’s not like I had a choice though). It was scary because 1) I have a phobia of birds in real life and 2) I thought everything in this castle was going to attack me. Then the van helsing characters nephew arrived. From the beginning he seemed to have a real interest in me. He was really cute with dark gold hair and bright blue eyes. There were a couple of romantic moments between me and him. Sometimes our eyes would meet and we would laugh softly. There was this one room that had modern materials in it, such as a t.v, vcr and leather sofa. I plonked down on the sofa and then he came in. he made his romantic intentions clear but I stayed true to Norveibrik. Much later on I must have been at my old house. I noticed a mark made from venom and asked my father what it meant. He told me this story and as he told it I saw the flashbacks from it. The story was that a baby in a basket was set on the floor and a bull came along and tried to kill the baby but the baby turned into a snake and bit the bull, probably killing it. A white tree came along and lifted the basket and the baby out of harm’s way. I never heard the conclusion to that story. I silently wondered if that baby was me. That’s when the dream ended.
