INT. PARKING GARAGE - NIGHT

I'm at my old valet-parking job except the parking spaces are unpaved. I'm backing up in a truck when I become lucid. Knowing the lucid state will only last a few seconds at best, I quickly decide to do something stupid and reckless: I floor the gas in reverse (knowing there will be no real consequences after all). The truck lurches backwards dangerously fast in my dream state, but not in my conscious state (in which I am static and safe)! I'm aware of two simultaneous frames of reference!

INT. POOL - NIGHT

I'm floating in an empty swimming pool. The tiles are still moist. I kick off against a wall and glide through the air like an astronaut across the pool into a door in the opposite wall.

Reality check: Anything involving antigravity is either a dream or a ufo encounter!

INT. TUNNEL - NIGHT

I drive into a dark tunnel through a mountain or under a river. The power must be out. I hear a voice announcing over the radio or telepathically in my head: "There is a UFO overhead." (I.e., in the sky over the tunnel.)

I become LUCID but I sense I'm not very deeply asleep and I don't know what to do with the lucidity anyway (not having made a clear plan beforehand), so I pull myself awake. What a waste of consciousness!
