Because of the street construction going that has been happening on my road starting around 7 am, I decided to go to bed early.
I set my alarm for 4 am and then listened to a relaxation tape in hopes of having a WILD directly after falling asleep. I figured worst case scenario, if I feel asleep without it, my alarm would wake me up at 4 and I would try again.
There were a number of minor set backs, including my alarm went off at 12 by mistake, I set it to snooze and it went off 10 mins later!!!! Then at 1:45 one of my tenant's guests decided to leave the house very loudly and that distracted me and put me in a rather bad mood.
I laid in bed most of the night trying to find and then observe the lights in the back of my eyes. I spent a lot of time focusing on them and tried to let them guide me into my dream but nothing worked.
I never fully fell asleep.
I was up and out of bed a few times, last one was at 5:30. Laid back down and still couldn't fall asleep.
My kid said goodbye at 7 am for school, so I refocused and tried again.
I had my ear plugs in due to the noise that was about to happen.
Not only could I not LD, I stil couldn't fall asleep.
Around 9 am I was frustrated but gave it one last attempt.
Something weird happened. I was so tired that I was falling in and out of sleep very quickly. I would become aware that I was dreaming and in a dream "world" but that awareness woke me back up. This happened maybe five times. Had to be less than a minute each time it happened.
Finally on the last time I attained Lucidity. It started off in my neighborhood. However it was not fully under my control. I could not fly very well.. but when I did I saw a beautiful field from my view above (a field that does not exist where I live).
From there I flew around the neighborhood in search of people. The neighborhood changed around me and soon I had no idea where I was located.
I briefly remember being inside of a warehouse of some kind at the top of some stairs.
Then I woke up and was not able to achieve lucidity again. I think in total my lucid trip was about 5 minutes.
Sadly I must have gotten a total of 10 minutes of actual sleep throughout the entire night.
Again I am frustrated by the possibility of having a whole night to explore and felt that I was on the right track. But at the same time this makes it three Lucid Dreams in a row (even if the last two were frustrating and brief.)
