Let's start at the beginning. I took new nightly medication and fell asleep reasonably quick. Upon waking (around 2:00am), I took an 8mg galantamine extract pill -- which, years prior, barely assisted in dream recall. As I drifted off to sleep, I managed to WILD. The sensation of sleep paralysis was hardly as bad as it had been before. I’ve found myself stuck in it far too long when I try to WILD. This time was different. To get metaphysical, those physical sensations I felt lying on my bed dissolved away to a blackness as my perception turned inward. I could feel my subconscious take over my breathing, and instead of feeling an uncomfortable stiffness in my limbs, I felt waves of relaxation wash through my body. From this blackness, I wanted to create the universe. So I did. I was cheeky about it too, narrating it Attenborough’s voice as I watched galaxies form, then planets. I commented about how Earth was my favorite life-bearing planet (and the only life-bearing planet I knew of). For some reason, I felt really clever saying that. I then found myself next to a black hole. Around me roared clouds of stellar gasses, red hot. I felt fear as I watched (what my mind’s eye perceived as) this black hole. Next thing I know, I am walking down a dimly lit hallway made of ancient stone. It was very dungeon-esque, interspersed with iron bars that seperated the hallway parallel to my own. A man was pounding on the bars. He turned and looked at me, yet his face was distorted -- much like flesh-toned static. The man uttered to me in a deep and equally distorted voice. And like that, a rush of water broke away the stones as it sucked everything down into a whirlpool behind him. I must have flown off, because next thing I remember was tasking people with saving warring nations and attempting to de-escalating their war. After awhile though, I settled in a desert. I was at the top of a mountain with another guy -- he was my father apparently. His voice kept changing and so did mine. We both commented on it, but continued talking. He was building a windmill to power something at the bottom. Each time an addition was made, the man grew older. I had constructed a generator powered by a mini-black hole by the time he was done. There’s a huge blank spot between this and the next dream. I was piloting a spaceship as a robot, delivering Chinese food to some guy. As I approached the asteroid, I realized he was being pursued by bounty hunters. I avoided their bullets as I docked. The guy immediately pulled me out and tossed me inside and set my ship to self-destruct to fool them. He closed some blast doors and we heard the explosion. When he asked for his food, I told him I didn’t grab it out of the ship. He wasn’t happy. There was another dream about a teacher losing her job because of underperforming students and another of a mega-building called “Decadence”. It was a self-sustaining building that provided everything free of charge (food, drinks, room), but there were only three ways in: Invitation for the famous, by being exceptionally skilled and working there -- or interestingly -- by sneaking in. Anyone who managed to get past their tight security could live there. I woke up from this at 5:00am feeling as though got a full night’s rest, despite my mind being so active in the dreams.
First Fragment In this fragment, all I remember was travelling down a road through a lush forest and arriving at a construction site. Some people were accompanying me, and we began cutting down more of the forest. Finally we began digging far down to the point there we hit the aquifer. I woke up shortly after though.
Space I don't remember so much as an introduction to this dream, but I recall having set up some sort of fleet in space. There was a red colored wormhole of sorts that lingered in the area, but no actions were taken. I hardly can recall anything occurring in this dream, as is to be expected, given that I am just now attempting to get back into the swing of things when it comes to lucid dreaming. Additionally, my current sleep schedule is unreliable as it stands, and steps must be taken to correct this. In short, changes are necessary; without a doubt though, I am looking forward to my return back into dreaming.
First Part I am on my way to class for finals and catch a bus. This part is more of a fragment, so I all I remember is that there were some logistical troubles. After that, I was given something and started jumping off some ledge onto the floor below in this strange area. A couple people caught me and scolded me for being dangerous, so I left the area. I ran into an old friend of mine and we decided to leave the area/campus, thus transitioning to the second part. Second Part I'm at some huge indoor area. It's almost like a shopping center, but has hotels and houses in it. I stand a few levels above the spacious courtyard and watch an ensemble perform Ode to Joy. I notice some guy standing next to me and share hellos. He laughs and snidely remarked that he's heard better as well as expressing his curiosity as to people's obsession with that song. We both descend downwards and talk to conductor and pianist. I can't remember how the conversation went, only that a few Bach pieces were thrown out and partially played. The conductor had left, and we relocated to a small plaza surrounded by some shops and a smoothie stand. I read a poster they had which talked about how the only sugar the add is all natural, organic brown sugar and sugar extracted from various fruits. My attention then turned back to the guy and the pianist as they continued their discussion. The pianist started saying strange things though, so we did our best to get out of there. I don't recall what happened next, but the dream transitioned to its final stage. Third Part It was rather abrupt, as after the pianist debacle, I instantly remember the dream shifting to a group of four people. It was a contest of some sorts, in a VR I think, yet still in the same "location" so to speak. As the dream progressed, the group formed a team, but was then approached by whatever set up the contest to begin with. In its loud, booming voice, it said that all the points that they decided to each individually head to, were actually traps set up by a traitorous team member. Each trap ranged from being crushed to death, to being held until starvation. When confronted about this, she burst into tears. It gets a little hazy, but I remember there coming out a victor, and that once that was all done with, there were criminals skulking about; nothing stands out however.
First Dream I was at some party, but I can't recall what for. The house that the party was hosted at was still under construction. Later on I had the urge to use the restroom, so I set off to find it. After finding what appeared to be the bathroom, I noticed it was still under construction and nothing functioned. I ran into one of the hosts and asked her to show me to a functioning bathroom. As we made our way across a field, we passed through a ramada occupied by a few people. One of them was me, I gave a nod and continued following the lady. I figured I was a time traveler from the future, and if I had stayed any longer then bad things would happen, but then I woke up. Second Dream I'm at a parking lot getting ready to get in my car when someone tries to rob me. They tell me to bring my stuff over to their vehicle. I comply, but grab a pistol that came out of nowhere on the passenger's side. As I bring the things they wanted to their car, I see a man who had the same thing happen to him. As I give the robber the stuff, I pull out the pistol and aim at them. They clearly don't know what to do at this point, as they set their weapon in the car to move things in their trunk. The man sitting in the back then leaps out and light them on fire using a spray can and a match. We call the police and gather our things and I wake up.
The first dream I remember was a borderline nightmare! I was in a standard apartment with my friend, though it was abandoned. I explored the medicine cabinet and found an oval box belonging to the woman who lived here prior. I opened it up and it just had a few rings and some jewelry in it. As I closed the medicine cabinet and gazed into the mirror, a shadowy child-like figure stood at the entry way. I looked back and it was nowhere to be seen, that is, until I looked at the mirror again. This time, it inched it's way closer. Nearly paralyzed with fear, I called my friend over, who was none the wiser about the shadowy thing. I told her to look into the mirror to say if she saw it and that's all I can remember. The second dream starts with me driving in a bus full of people I know (like a field trip or something) to some city in California. However, as we approach a bridge, the driver is hesitant to cross it because of the nature of disrepair it's in. He went on to talk about how many accidents happened at this site because of the terrible state it was in. He also wanted to wait up for another group of people who couldn't fit on the bus and had to take their own vehicles. However, an earthquake struck and we were already partly on the bridge, so the driver floored it and narrowly made it to the other side. The bridge crumbled behind us. So we decided to stay in this town for a few hours/days to rest up. It rained more than usual, according to the townsfolk, and the place was flooded. I remember seeing a few people using a downwards slope as a sort of slip-n-slide.
Can't quite recall the how it all started, but I do remember certain pieces of the dream. I don't think I was myself, as I was watching others attempt to solve a puzzle in another dimension. After experimenting with what I can only assume was portal technology, they sent a lone man to investigate was was on the other side. In this realm, there was a lone floating structure, where everything else was a uniform grey color. The structure itself varied between lighter shades of grey, and a black, and was composed entirely of cuboids, as there were no rounded or curved edges. It also didn't follow any conventional mechanics, as walking down stairs would take you to the roof, and turning left would take you down a level, as the man had found out. He deducted, that if had another person accompanied him, they would end up in two vastly different spots despite their best attempts to remain together. Soon enough, however, the man found an opened area with a lone jet black monolith. Slots were in it, as though the entire structure was actually some sort of machine--a machine that needed tuning to reactivate. The man visually located the necessary objects, as they were the only colored things in this realm, but had difficulty retrieving them. Before I could witness him reactive the machine, I either woke up or the dream cut away to something else, as I do not recall what happened next (much to my disappointment). Though, I do remember seeing him again, but this time in a lab. He was at the entrance of the deactivated gate (which was fairly small), but was holding onto the edges of the device as the other scientists and lab assistants tried yanking him out. It looked as though he were trying to escape--biding his time until the device turned on so he could be whisked away. There were meteors striking the area I think, or a war maybe? I can only seem to recall parts of the building being destroyed. The man wasn't trying to escape the dangers that lie outside, but rather protect some sort of knowledge from falling into the wrong hands. Perhaps what he saw in the alternate dimension could be weaponized? Regardless, he gave up on the machine and bolted outside the room. He came to a parking garage in ruins underneath the building. Strangely, my attention shifted from the man, to a scientist who snuck out after him. They met, despite the place falling apart, but the dream ends here.
Don't really remember much except a fragment of some guy shouting at a group of people about how poorly planned the skyscraper he lived in was. Because of poor planning, the residential floors commingled with private offices, inevitably leading to a bunch of noise and break-in because of it. There were also these lizard beings that had landed on Earth, and mechs were thrown into the mix too I believe. Either way, not the best recall I've had.
First WILD I woke myself up four hours after resting to attempt a WILD. For the most part, it worked, as I slowly felt paralysis overcome me. Thereafter, sounds of static enveloped my hearing. Finally, I began seeing the sound, if that makes any sense. It was as though a spectrogram was hooked up to my vision, yet in all of this I still couldn't move. So I sat here in static land, vaguely aware of my body just waiting. I obviously wasn't thinking because rather than engage my sense of feeling and try and actually move my dreambody, I decided to take myself out of paralysis. If its anything that this WILD taught me, it's patience and that I should always attempt to think my decisions out. Second WILD After I got out of paralysis, I figured I might as well try another WILD after thinking over the last one and began relaxing myself back into it. This one had more waiting to it, as I just laid there. This time, sleep paralysis didn't come around, and there was a momentary blackout period that I went through. At this point, I must had fallen asleep, due to this large, square game board with buildings on it. I was still waiting for sleep paralysis to roll around as I watched (and did not question) these two entities play on the board. Judging by the conversation going back and forth, it was a father and his son playing a game on it, as they had no body. The game consisted of throwing a large ball at the right buildings to do as much damage as possible. The father taunted his son for he had the highest score as his son tried to beat him. But then I heard a new voice, that sounded muffled, like as though it were coming from a walkie-talkie. I somehow developed a body and flew underneath the board as the voice started guiding through relaxation and sleep paralysis. My vision shifted back to a first-person perspective. It was then that I once again felt and heard vibrations. A tunnel developed, and the voice cautioned that I should stay calm. Breathing perfectly and right as I was about to travel through it, the most peculiar thing happened. In an instant, my chest felt like it dropped as I was no longer in control of my breathing, and from my toes all the way up to my head, a quick wave traveled in me. Simultaneously, I heard a deep, roaring sound that can only be described as the crackling heard after lightning. But all this happened because I woke up. It's like when you're dreaming and someone suddenly shakes you out of it. Disappointed that the WILD failed, I decided to just try and get some sleep. Short Semi-Lucid I don't know how it happened, but after falling asleep I found myself in a pitch black area. I knew something was up and came to the conclusion I was dreaming. So I decided to do a few things. First on the list was to create a spaceship. I turned around and saw only part of this huge behemoth I created. It was clear, too clear. I could see every detail in it and if I kept looking at it I thought I'd go mad. But when I averted my gaze, I found myself in the rings of what had to have been Saturn. Huge asteroids began flying towards me, and rather than stabilizing my dream, I woke up. It was all very brief and probably only lasted around thirty seconds. Defending the City Once again, falling asleep, I dreamt I was in large metropolis of some sorts. I was on the roof of a high-rise surround by other, taller buildings. The technology and architecture looked like it was in the future, with computers and holographic displays. Judging by the large amounts of people, there was a celebration going on. Two people, a hefty guy who looked like he was in the military and a shorter, younger guy with his hair up in a ponytail stood out among the crowd. I was chatting with them when out of nowhere an earthquake shakes the entire place. After it ended, a few people gasped as they looked out onto the ocean off in the distance. Some Lovecraftian horror began shambling forth. It was indescribable, yet I felt no fear. I know that the two guys and I had fought it, but I have no recollection of the weapons we used. Apparently, every week some creature either emerges from the sea or flies down to terrorize the city. Why that was, was not known. "Weeks" in my dream passed like minutes, as we fought more and more of the huge creatures. The last one came once again from the sea. It swam around the docks before morphing into a gigantic, destructive 'thing'. But once we killed it, there were no more. I went to the intelligence department of the city where everything was recorded and archived and pulled up the footage of the last creature. It had spoken about why it was attacking the city though I vaguely remember the message. It had something to do with the expansion of the metropolis. Through a Portal After I heard the audio clip, my dream began to develop more surreal qualities about it. I went through some portal and watched a few medieval peasants build a village, then, out of nowhere, I was stopped by a dentist and told my wisdom teeth are coming through. I felt the back part of my gums with my tongue and confirmed that I indeed needed to get them removed. It was there that my dream ended.
Memory One Don't really remember much other than I'm playing God and flooding towns with water when I hear my mother calling me for some odd reason. I quickly leave the town to go attend to whatever it was that I was needed for. Memory Two This one is a bit more detailed. I was exploring a fairly lush city. The architecture reminds of some of Syd Mead's lighter and brighter works, with whitewashed towers and green parks in between. Out of nowhere, I get this need to rescue a few people and escape the area. One was a little old lady, the second was an engineer of some sorts. The engineer, ready to commit suicide, needed persuasion to escape with us. There were more people in my party, but I can't quite recall who or how many. I was on the verge of getting the engineer to come with us when I woke up. Conclusion It's a start, and certainly something I wish I had remembered more of.
City Farmer I was outside a magical city. Each building, comprised of large dark blue stones, had markings that glowed in a variety of green shades. The city was situated in the pit of sorts, with wheat growing on the outside. As I looked upon the fields of wheat, I readied my scythe for harvesting. But it wasn't the wheat I wanted, rather, I wanted to release the souls of the damned that were beneath the very ground the wheat grew on. With each sweep of the scythe, black forms spilled forth, taking the vague shape of humanoid figures that twisted and shambled towards the city. The people inhabiting the city went on full alert and had sent their army to fight them off. But before my memory cuts out, I remember bring up more dark creatures than soldiers. Conclusion Weird, to say the least. I've never really had a sinister dream like this, at least where I'm the antagonist in it. Even though my memory of it isn't all too clear, I still have to admit that it was a fun one, and can't deny I enjoyed thinking about it after waking up.
Had a bunch of dreams last night, each with their own weird connected plot too. Recall is starting to come back to me thankfully. Sim City I was pretty much building a city in a Sim-ish isometric view. I had built up a great city, but then ran into budget problems regarding the new highway system I had built combined with the power demands my city had. I shut down a few power plants which in turn caused my city to become an abandoned ghost town with a few brave souls living in it. On the bright side I had balanced my budget and could continue expansion, but at the last minute all my funds disappeared, which was where my dream had ended Strange City I was in some neighborhood at night with a party of people with me. The neighborhood was comprised of multiple homes and businesses like that of a suburb, with a few parks and playgrounds thrown into the mix. I felt confined to a square area as I and the few other people explored with me. As we walked the empty streets, a plethora of creatures ran about. Some resembling hellish creatures of a Lovecraftian nature, others of normal animals with a dark twist. While they were benign if left alone, they weren't afraid to attack if you encroached on it's territory. We moved towards a sandbox that was right at a corner of where walls were which further gave this walled in feeling. There was a hut with some crazy old lady living inside of it and she told me and the other people to start digging if we wanted to escape or something. As we began digging, we encounter this underground cave which had ancient buildings carved into it's huge walls. The Underground City As I pushed forward with the few people that I was with, the area became less ancient looking, and more futuristic. Eventually, the entire scene changed to a technologically advanced facility with moving platforms and bits. Interestingly, it turned into a game of Starcraft where I had controlled three bases, two Zerg and one Protoss. The moving platform was some sort of strategical element in the game as I kept shipping units back and forth on it. But that little subplot came to a quick end as I had woken up in the middle of the night thirsty. Tornado Warning When I went back to bed, I had found myself in a countryside of some sort. Dirt roads, grass everywhere, few buildings, and lots of trees surrounded me. I was with two guys who happened to be brothers and we were playing in the dirt or something. I remember everything having a yellowish tinge to it, while similtaniously being dimly lit despite the fact we were outside. Before questioning this, I looked up in the sky and the boys' father ran out saying there was a tornado warning because of the dark clouds that were covering half of the sky. I remember having to wait for a gate to open because the boys' father had a fence around their large property and that fence had barbwire. It also turned out that he was farmer considering he had a few cows in front of his yard eating his grass. As we went inside, I recall the actual house being only one story and fairly small. It too, was dimly lit with a faint yellow tinge, but I blamed it on the lights in the house. At this point, I had woken up because of sunlight coming from my window, so I'll never know if a tornado hit the house or now. Conclusion Well, overall, most of the dreams took place in a city with the exception of the last. If I keep remembering dreams at this rate, then hopefully it'll be like I never stopped remembering my dreams in the first place.
Haven't had one of these in a while. It seems to be the same as every other zombie dream I have, where I watch everyone descend into madness as they slowly turn into zombies. Except instead of a virus, it was because of a small stink bug everyone was turning into zombies. Towards the end, I was riding on a bike with some other person trying to escape under the cover of night for safety. Last I can remember, was being at dry wash that had some green grass in it, almost like a prairie. Hopefully this will kick off my recall once again, and I can keep trying to achieve lucid dreams. Happy dreaming everyone!
Last night was terrible for recall. I can't sleep for some reason. I think that not taking those homeopathic sleeping pills might be the cause of it. Non habit forming my ass! Oh well, I'll try taking them again to see if I get anywhere with them. Happy dreaming!
This one lasted for a considerably long time and yet stayed consistent the entire time. I enjoy looking back at it too. The Secret Society It begins, or rather, I can recall as far back as being outside caverns that led into a mountain. There was a secret society that occupied the mine, and to get in, you had to take an oath to them and follow their evil ways. There was a man that stood, dressed in ancient black robes, in front of a group of average looking people. All of them were initiates that looked a little confused as to what they were joining. Standing next to the man was a few of his assistants to help in the initiations. The society had moderate numbers, but was seeking to increase it's membership. The organization had a few targets of people that they were seeking out to kill. One of them happened to be in the group of initiates, oblivious to that they were being hunted by them. I can't recall who it was, and whether it was a boy or girl, just that they were right there under there noses. The Hotel The scene soon changes. I am with the group of "good" people who are on the run from the secret society. We are all at some sort of hotel complex set into the future. We were near the top floor on an extremely tall building that had smoothed edges sort of like a Syd Mead painting. It was clearly daytime, and as we were leaving the buildings, I looked across and down at an expansive green courtyard that was at ground level. It was an open-air corridor that allowed me to look down at it. As I looked straight across and from left to right, I saw more buildings similar to the one I was on. The Final Attack My gazing was cut short because the evil organization sent large birds after us, and we had to run away as quick as possible. We soon find ourselves at a large castle that has been fortified to protect the person sought after by the evil society. I, and a group of people, find the need to head back to the mines to stop something. A party of people gets assembled, myself included, and embark on the journey towards the mines. Surprisingly, it's close by, but we soon find a gate that won't budge because we haven't met it's requirements. We needed to bring "hellstone" or "demonstone" or something like that for it to open. But we didn't have any. As we return, we find the castle under attack by a dragon sent by the evil secret society. A mysterious song is played with intricate and dramatic chords, but whether or not the song was real or not, I'm can't say. The castle is in terrible condition, as we all try to fend the dragon off. I wake up, not too shortly after, and just as how I was unsure of the song, I am unsure on how the dream actually ended. Conclusion This was certainly an action-packed dream. I could probably write a story on this if I truly wanted. I hope tonight's dreams will be just as interesting. Happy dreaming!
