    1. Lady of the Mansion of all Mansions

      by , 08-27-2020 at 04:58 PM
I remember the dream taking place in the biggest building I've ever seen. It seemed to be at least 30 stories tall and a mile wide. I cannot remember much of the dialogue, but I remember feeling rushed and a sense of comedic chaos. Like most of my dreams, I was hiding and running from people.

At one point, I was in what appeared to be a Christmas wing -- Christmas decorations and celebrations all year long. I found a dark, little room that had two small pianos/organs and a manger figurine display. The Virgin Mary was about 8-inches tall to put it into perspective. A mob of people were looking for me and I crouched down as if I were praying at the manger and hoping no one would recognize me. When the mob was gone, I looked up and saw an elderly lady sitting in a chair dressed in a nun's habit. I apologized for intruding and told her that I just wanted to pray in peace and that I hoped I didn't disturb her. She seemed pleased at my devotion although I knew it was just a lie so I could hide.

I remember running up and down stairwell after stairwell. Escalators, elevators, secret passage ways. Grandiose, dark oak staircases covered in a thick lacquered finish.

Then the dream shifted and I was suddenly married to the man who owned the house. I didn't have to run and hide anymore.

I was the lady of the mansion. Queen of the castle.

My sister, Lisa, appeared and I wanted to show her around. I asked her if she wanted to see my bedroom and I told her that my bedroom consisted of 44 rooms. Then I asked her if she wanted to see the kitchen. I no longer had to cook for myself or anyone else since my mansion was fully staffed, but as a commoner, I figured she would love to see my elaborate kitchen. We went to the basement level, which is where my kitchen apparently resided. We encountered Callie -- from Grey's Anatomy -- and I introduced my sister to one of my closest friends. Callie, for those who are unfamiliar with the show or her character, is a tall woman. My sister isn't even 5 feet tall. They were friendly toward each other, but they were joking around puffing their chests out at either other. Almost like a cock fight to see who was the better friend. In real life, my sister is one of my closest and best friends. They laughed and then I woke up.

Other dreams from the past few days:

I had another dream about being at my grandmother's house for a family gathering. One of my uncles was being a real dick and I told him so. My husband, Curtis, disapproved of my behavior and wouldn't speak to me.

I'm not sure if this was part of the same dream or a separate dream all together, but I remember walking through a neighborhood where I lived back in 2012 with my brother-in-law. We were making out and it was the weirdest kissing experience of my life. Think of trying to force the same sides of two magnets together. They repel, but you still try to force them together.

One of my other dreams consisted of Curtis wanting to divorce me for some unknown reason and I was begging him to take me back.

Overall, none of my dreams have been lucid, but I have been experiencing more vivid and lengthy dreams.
    2. Why Does Everyone Want to Kill Me?

Tuesday morning I had a dream that I was marrying my sister. Right before the ceremony, she was being super mean to me so I called off the wedding and ran away. Masked men tried to kill me and at one point I think they successfully shot me in my side. I ran back to the ceremony to warn the guests of the masked men. The men followed me. The men started firing guns at random hoping to shoot as many people as possible. A bomb went off and the ceiling collapsed onto my father. He looked unconscious. I ran to him crying and screaming. I kneel and check if he's breathing. He opens his eyes and I notice I'm covered in blood. My father isn't bloody, so the blood must have been mine. He tells me to run, but I don't leave his side. Then I wake up.

This is my dream from last night into this morning.

I'm in an unfamiliar place. Being hostile is acceptable. Pre-teen boys are rowdy and fighting. One of the boys -- let's call him Henry -- comes at me and I grab him by the shirt and pant leg and drop him sideways to the ground. Henry threatens to smash my face. "Go ahead. Do it. See what happens," I dare him. "Do it. I dare you. Do it. Do it. Do it!" Henry is so angry, but he knows that he can't hurt me because I'm much bigger than him. Instead, he smashes the face of a boy he was previously fighting with right into a table. Let's call this other boy Darrel. Darrel's head rises from the table and I can only see the back of his head. Everyone around us is gasping and begin to panic. Even Henry panics. I walk until I can Darrel's face. There's a pair of scissors sticking out from his left eye. Henry doesn't know what to do, but he grabs onto the scissors and starts opening and closing them over and over again -- cutting Darrel's eye repeatedly. I think he's dead, but he miraculously survived (less one eye). Henry runs away.

I remember waking up after this scene ended, but I must have fallen back into the same dream.

Henry is now out for revenge because the police are after him because of what he did to Darrel. I call it revenge because it was, of course, my fault that Henry did what he did to Darrel because I was taunting him. Henry is now acting like a murderous lunatic, which is a strange thing to witness in a 12-year-old boy. I am constantly trying to find new places to hide from Henry, but he keeps finding me and I run and hide to a new location. I'm scared and lock myself in a room on the second floor thinking I'll be safe until the police arrive. However, Henry is a stealthy little fu*ker and scales the outside of the building like Spider-Man and climbs in my room through the window. We fight. I barely escape. Now I trick him into thinking I'm hiding in another room on the second floor of another building. I start to sense the environment is like a co-ed campus in the middle of the wilderness for children who have been selected to become assassins. Henry scales the outside of the building and I see him climbing into the window. I take the opportunity to run and find a new place to hide -- trying to put as much distance between us as possible. There is a lot more of me running and hiding from Henry, but I don't recall the exact details. The last thing I recall from the dream before waking up is Henry finally found me again and I was able to incapacitate him and restrain him while the police made their way to arrest him.

It's been a long few days. When I first entered the realm of DreamViews, my oldest niece, Jolie, was around six years old. She's the little girl in my signature photo. She's now 18 and gave birth to a beautiful baby boy yesterday morning after a week of labor. Needless to say, I didn't sleep much or well -- too much anticipation! To help my sister while she stays in the hospital with Jolie, I took her youngest daughter, Maycee, for a couple of nights. She's almost 9.

I do remember having dreams last night/this morning, but my recall completely poofed out of existence almost immediately. My husband, Curtis, and I live above a (shitty) restaurant and the employees love blasting their music loudest when they're closed, but still working -- prepping for the day or cleaning up at night. My irritation got the best of me and I couldn't think about anything other than how much I cannot stand the employees downstairs.

"Well, why don't you just move, Meghan," you may be thinking. We are trying and have been actively looking for a new home for a few months. COVID season makes that difficult. So does having two big dogs. My poor old puppers make it difficult because most renters here in New Hampshire don't want dogs living on their properties. Ugh! Such is life.

      So, how are you?
