    1. quick projection

      by , 01-04-2011 at 05:35 PM
I had noticed that my body was entering paralysis and was soon able to see through my closed eyelids. I saw the side of my girlfriends face start to deform and grow into what looked like a tiny city of skyscrapers. She began speaking in an inhuman tone and then the fear came. I tried waking myself and was not able to. I then tried shaking her awake, by pushing her arm. I guess I thought she would be able to help me wake up..

I then woke up and realized that the hand I was using to try and wake her was my astral arm. Even though I could see it, i hadnt noticed. I was mad at how close I was to being out of my body and then waking myself up. I tried to move as little as possible, stay calm and go back to sleep.

I entered paralysis very quickly and then lifted my arm up once again. It was transparent, and of a sky blue color. I then tried sitting up, but got stuck at my waist. It felt as if I was permeating through a membrane when I sat up. I have never felt that before, and I think the reason I did was because of hearing other people talk about that. I asked for someone to help me out, and then swiftly floated completely out, hovering 2 or 3 feet above the floor, in front of the bed. When I asked for help, (from my guide) i did not feel the presence of anyone else enter the room.. must have helped myself out! Now i am floating up to the ceiling. It is strange I always seem to feel more comfortable near the ceiling while I am out of body. anyways I look down at the bed and saw my girlfriend sleeping, however I was not there!? I stay there for 10 seconds or so, and then wake up. hopefully I can project again soon. its been a while and felt good to do it again!

    2. Accessing Parallel Realities

      by , 12-29-2010 at 07:40 PM
      Hello everyone!

I am new to the forum and figured the best way to introduce myself would be to share one of my most favorite LD's. This one continued to blow my mind long after i woke up..

      The (actual) Setting:

I wake up from a very humorous dream that i just had to replay in my mind a couple of times. I then realize that the reason i woke up was either because the morning sun was blinding me, or because the couch i was sleeping on might as well have been made with bricks. Time to find a new place to sleep. I walk into my friends bedroom where two other friends of mine are sleeping on the bed. I find a suitable piece of floor and lay down.

      The Dream

Not even a minute goes by before I hear some kind of Hawaiian music start to play. (I am dreaming now) I lift my head to find the source of the music. I find that it is coming from a small clock radio on top of a small dresser that is right in front of where I am sleeping. I hear my friend say something about turning it off and I begin to stand. Before I can get all the way up, the music abruptly stops playing. This confuses me, and I look over to my friend as if he could give me some sort of explanation. Instead, he is glaring at me and mumbles something inaudible. I ask if he would like me to leave the room and he offers no reply. I take that as a yes, and make my way into the living room. Hmmm.. something is different. There is a slight fog in the room and everything has a blue tint to it. Not even 5 minutes ago this room was too bright for me to even sleep in. What gives? Ohh...

The familiar excitement of lucidity rushes through my body as I look around the room like a mad man. What to do? Endless possibility sitting right in front of me. I don't want to waste it by getting too excited and blasting through the roof just to fly around and get bored like the last five lucid dreams I had.. So I think about it for a moment, and wonder what would happen if I were to do the exact opposite. As soon as the idea crosses my mind, gravity takes hold and I fall right through the floor. This is where it gets weird.

I fall for what felt like maybe 50ft, and then stop myself. I am now in an endless black void. Even though there is no point of reference, I have the feeling that this space has no limits. Awesome, i think to myself.. The lack of expectation has given me a complete lack of results. So much for that experiment. I stick around for a short while trying to keep my head clear, and I begin to notice a faint pattern around me. Tiny white dots, in a symmetrical grid-like pattern. They almost look like stars yet they are completely uniform, and of equal distance to each other. I take a look around and sure enough, they are in every direction I look. My eyesight wanders for a few seconds before I stop and focus on one star. I then notice that particular section of stars appears to be growing closer to me. And gaining velocity. Its as if I were remaining still, but these stars are crossing that infinite distance and flying directly towards me. I keep my gaze centered on the one star. I'm able to see it more clearly, and it is growing in size. It is now at an unthinkable speed, and not only has it reached me, but it has seemed to swallow me whole.

The star has now filled my entire field of vision. In a flash my surroundings changed from black to the brightest white light. And just as fast as it came, it started to fade away. Disoriented, I take a look at my new surroundings. That same familiar blue tint.. Wait a minute, im standing in the exact same place in which I started out! Only this time it is different. The fog is gone, and the furniture is not the same. There used to be a pool table in the middle of the room, but now there is nothing but a single chair up against the corner of the wall i am facing. I realize there is someone sitting in the chair, and then notice it isn't human. This grey creature had a frail wrinkled body, and was hunched over. His Head was of an enormous oval shape, and towards the bottom he had two tiny, glowing white eyes. He was just staring at me. Sitting in an empty room and staring at me..

I start to run directly at this creepy looking alien creature, only to find that it is not an alien at all. Rather, It is a frightened looking father holding his son and daughter under each arm. Its important to note, that as I began to run towards this thing, I hear a woman's voice screaming "I KNOW WHEN YOU WEAR A F***ING MASK!" Although I did not pay any attention to the voice after I heard it. So here I am, standing in front of this poor family who I must have scared the living s*** out of. And I begin looking for something else to do. I look to my left and see a mirror hanging on the wall. Well I always thought this would be fun to do.. And I proceed to walk through the mirror. As I am about halfway through the mirror, I hear the woman's voice a second time, still screaming. "BECAUSE I HAD A SECOND DREAM" Now im interested. I wanted to hear what else she would say about dreaming, and i wanted to stay in the room. But i was already through the mirror and then the dream rapidly fades. I wake up.

      Summary

Okay, there is a lot I would like to point out about this dream. Some of which I didn't notice until a week or two afterward. Some of my theories about OBE's and dream reality's may differ from yours.. but this is my take on what happened.

      The Void

It still makes me laugh when I think about it. The reason I wanted to drop through the floor was because I had absolutely no expectations as to what I would find down there. Sure enough I ended up in the exact same place I started, only slightly different. I believe that if I were to focus in on any one of the adjacent stars, besides the one I chose, then I would have ended up in a similar variation of the same room. It seemed as if there were an unlimited number of stars I could have picked, and If parallel reality's do in fact exist then there must be an unlimited number of them as well.. Right? idk.

      The Creature

I'm not sure whether I believe that some dream characters may actually be conscious beings or not. Of course many of them are simply projections of our own subconscious, but hear me out. After thinking over the dream a few times, i began to think about it from the creatures perspective. As if he were in a dream of his own, and the big scary human came out of nowhere and charged at him. He sure acted that way. It seemed that he may have used a kind of defense mechanism (shape shifting) to cause me to lose interest with him. Yet even though his appearance had changed, his emotion hadn't. The father and two children were really freaked out. Like trembling. Well it worked anyways.

      The Voice

I heard that voice but I knew there was no one else in the room. So then It either must have come from the creature, or myself. It obviously wasn't him. I had a feeling that it was being directed at him. It couldn't have been myself.. could it? it would fit perfectly. As the creature changed shape, the voice said "I know when you wear a mask" .. Okay, so if I were to know that he had just changed form, that's probably what I would have said to him. The next thing the voice said, "Because I had a second dream" think about it. The only reason i became lucid in the first place was because I had a second dream after the first one, where I got up and changed rooms.

The only possible explanation I can think of, for that voice to have emanated from myself, is that it was my subconscious, projecting the voice at the creature without me currently being aware. Although I didn't know what was going on at that time, but.. I do now. And If parallel reality's do exist. Then then I don't think time is really much of a boundary to my consciousness anyways.

Another small thing I should note. I believe this was actually an astral projection, in that I stood up from where my physical body was still laying. Also, once I actually woke up from the dream and stood up, i looked at the dresser and saw there was an alarm clock that looked exactly the same as the one in the dream. only the real one was unplugged and had the chord wrapped around it. I had never seen the clock prior to that. So if that isn't a solid validation to AP then idk what is. anyways thanks for reading. Sorry for the length! Im looking forward to your replies, input, criticism whatever! and also looking forward to becoming a member of your board.
